Starting point is 00:03:01 Joe, we've got some breaking news. The Steelers are the Trading Corner. quarterback Joy Porter Jr. to the Cowboys. Them boy. What you think? What'd you think about that, Joe? I love it. I love Joy Porter, Jr.
Starting point is 00:03:14 I think, you know, he's going to be, obviously, you know, going into a new scenery, bro, you want to get out to a great start. You want to show your importance to the team. And I think he's going to fit right in. Obviously, we know what we're dealing with defensively. You know, we've had some woes and we're trying to fix them. I hope Joy Porter can come in and give us what we're looking for.
Starting point is 00:03:33 their productivity, bro. It's hard for me to believe that the damn stillers let that man get out the dough like that. Yeah, yeah. Contract broke down. What did they get for him? What did they get for them? They traded them.
Starting point is 00:03:48 What did they give for him? What did they give up? The quarterback wanted to be paid, like a top proletta at his position, but after Christian Gonzalez got four years, 135, Spoon got four years 132, signed mega deals. Pittsburgh opted not to pursue a reconcertaining deal
Starting point is 00:04:11 and made the trade. Porter drafted with the 30-second overall pick in 2023 draft was technically the first pick of the second round. Man McDonough's had to forfeited after the league found them guilty of tampering. Don't say what they gave up to get him and didn't say if they signed an extension.
Starting point is 00:04:32 I like this. I like this for him. New change of scenery. Bad takes left of your mouth when you, you know, leaving a steal-a-franchise. You want to play. ball, you want to play ball happily. And how do you play ball happily?
Starting point is 00:04:47 When people reward you and understand the value that you bring to the team, Steelers run willing to do that, they didn't see him as an asset. I mean, I've watched him play for the past three years. He's really good. He's going to be right in your face, Uncle Joe. Yeah. First down, second down, third down. You're going to have to beat him.
Starting point is 00:05:06 You're going to have to beat him like a drum. But that boy knew he could play some man in coverage. Now, he doesn't have the resume of the accolades, you know, as some of the other, you know, the upper echelon DBEs, you know, your stinglies and your Pat Sertan's. But boy, that young bull could play some ball, boy, he can play some DB. Yeah. For me, that's what I, that's all I'm saying. I'm not saying I don't think he's a quality corner because I do think he's a quality corner. But I don't think the Pittsburgh Steelers valued him, viewed him like the guys you just mentioned, the Christian Gonzalez, the spoons, the Surtans.
Starting point is 00:05:39 I don't think they viewed him at that level of corner. And they're looking at it like just because your contract is up, that doesn't mean you move to the front of the line. Right. But Joe, you got some guy to go opposite of Blan. But Blan has been bad since he got that contract. We're working some kinks out on. Give us some time, man.
Starting point is 00:06:05 He need to add some seasoning. Hey, Joe, what kind of kinks are working out, Joe? Defensively, we're getting some things straight, Ocho. Okay, okay. We're trying to get it right. So we're going to add Joey Porter into this. He's going to fit in seamlessly. Okay.
Starting point is 00:06:18 Let's get it going. I hear you. Look, I'm happy with it, but it's going to be interesting to see. You don't make this trade unless you plan on giving the young man some money. Now, it's going to be interesting to see what they're giving. Listen, that conversation was had before the trade even happened. That's my point. You know how the agents work.
Starting point is 00:06:38 They don't play that. And it's a situation, no state tax. Yeah. That's a couple of million, three, four million dollars a year. Big bucks, no way in this, baby. Mm-hmm. Let's get it. I'm excited.
Starting point is 00:07:08 What's you thinking, Ocho? No, I'm excited. I'm excited to see how they're using. I mean, I know how they're going to use him because I know what he does well. I'm excited. Yeah, he's a press corner. Mm-hmm. He's the man corner.
Starting point is 00:07:23 You still think they're going to lose Sunday? Yep. Damn, Joe. Oh, he'd be hating. He'd be hating, oh, Joe. He ain't got no confidence. He ain't got no confidence. Until we start winning,
Starting point is 00:07:40 until we start winning some games, back-to-backstringing a few together. He ain't going to give us no credit. He don't give us no credit. It's okay, though. A winning cure us all, you hear me? Yeah, I hope they watch this, and I hope they use this fuel
Starting point is 00:07:54 and go out there and beat the brunties. breaks off them boy. Damn. Yeah. That was you hoping, Joe? Yeah, man. We let y'all sneak. We let them birds sneak by last week.
Starting point is 00:08:07 Y'all, y'all got lucky. The draft compensation is Cowboys ascending two seconds, ascending a second round pick and a conditional sixth round pick. That's a pretty good trade. Yeah. That's a pretty good trade.
Starting point is 00:08:24 I mean, you got a guy. 26 years of age, a quality player that's been a startup basically since he's been in the league. Yeah, yeah. A willing tackler. We can play press. Now, what are we talking?
Starting point is 00:08:46 He's looking for north of 30 million. Cowboys willing to go north of 30 million. I'm saying, that's going to be something that they're going to work out after the season, right? No, hell not. If that's the case, he should stay to Pittsburgh. Well, I don't think he had a choice because I don't think Pittsburgh think he's hurt.
Starting point is 00:09:06 Because, you know, everybody had the, you know, Baca had a back problem last year. You know, you see guys be holding in while they're holding out. Hey, they don't want to lose no money. Mm-mm. And it don't matter if you x-ray or scanning them back, you can't dictate it if he hurt or not. You can't.
Starting point is 00:09:26 That's the area of the body. you can't dig that. I'm telling y'all, man, in basketball, we used to have guys go down with them back injuries all the time. I'm feeling like, I'm Joe. I'm feeling like a DB over here, boy. Boy, you're going to get, they're going to blow you out your shoes.
Starting point is 00:09:41 You'll go over that time how you feel like a DB. Joe, you ain't just see the clip of my wide receiver camp in July, me locking up all the top receivers in college. I see you locking on some of them. What them boys in high school or something? Joe, that's, what? That's the receiver, the number one receiver at Florida, the number of receiver at LSU,
Starting point is 00:10:02 number of receiver at North Carolina, and all the more. The number of receiver at Oregon. Bye-bye pick. Bye-bye pickings. I could have told you that, Joe. Hey, I wasn't even going to say nothing. Oh, because we got Joy Porter.
Starting point is 00:10:17 You're saying they paying Joy Porter. Okay. You'll have to, guess what? You're going to have to pay DAC. Yeah. I could have told you that. Hell, Dak making $55, $6,000 a million right? Now what do you think that going to want to make?
Starting point is 00:10:31 Jared loved Dak. He's like, he's playing the best quarterback we've seen. Yeah, hell of a leader, man. I can kind of, I can't disagree with you, Joe. It'll be crazy for him not to pay that because, hell. Not. They ain't got no choice. Joe ain't anybody else.
Starting point is 00:10:48 I know. I know. Joy Porter, Jr., Steelers Outstanding Young Corner traded to the Dallas Cowboys for Condoies. for a second round pick and a conditional sixth round pick. I think this is a good team, bad blood, because the Steelers don't do contracts. They don't not work contracts.
Starting point is 00:11:09 You either get the contract done before the season or you get it after the season. They don't do business during, they close up shop during the season. They've always operated like that. Steelers ain't really afraid to let anybody go now. They've had some really good players on show, you know, especially at the receiver position. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:28 Santonio Holmes, with Super Bowl MVP by Plex, Yancey Thigpin, Antonio Brown, Emmanuel Sanders, the list goes on and on and on and on. Oh, yeah. Martavis Bryant.
Starting point is 00:11:44 Now, he has some issues off the field. Damn. And the Steelers do a really good job. They do a good job of drafted, developing their players. But when they feel like it's getting contentious and it's not going to work out, it's not beneficial for either side,

Starting point is 00:15:33 This apartment! It's playing. out in real life, not just on the phone. Every piece of evidence pointed to one man. But every piece of evidence was a lie. He was not going to stop unless we stopped him. Listen to Betrayal Season 6 on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. The World Cup is over, but if you caught the soccer bug and aren't sure what to do now, check out our podcast, Big Kick Energy.
Starting point is 00:16:02 I'm Cameron Dicker, the kicker from the Los Angeles, Cargers, most accurate kicker in NFL history, but I was raised on the soccer pitches of Shanghai. And I'm here with Timmy Tillman, L-A-F-C-Star, grew up in the academies of Germany and now under the bright lights of Major League Soccer. So, we know a little something about kicking balls. Maybe you're new to the game, or you're ready to take your passion to the next level. Each week we'll tackle things like who's winning the Premier League this year. Playing like a number 10. Do you know what that means? Then we go over to France.
Starting point is 00:16:32 Ligoon. Ligand. Liga. Oh, damn. He knows more. He's better than me. What do you think is harder? Scoring a penalty kick or scoring a field goal?
Starting point is 00:16:40 He's in the NFL and I'm like, just a big fact. I do enough. That's crazy. Join us each week for a quick chat with your soccer-loving bros about the best sport in the world. Soccer. Just don't tell my coaches I said that. Listen to Big Kick Energy on the Iheart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts. The New York Giants guys have released Odell Beckham Jr.
Starting point is 00:17:06 Wide receiver, Braxton Barclay. was elevated from the practice squad and signed to the 53-man roster. OBJ only played 19 snaps in the last three games and did not record a single catch. John Harbaugh, his coach, spoke on the decision saying, we just wasn't getting enough. It just wasn't working for us. Like I told him, I wanted to be able to get more.
Starting point is 00:17:30 I wanted to be able to do more. Get him on the field more. For whatever reason, we weren't able to do that. Put it on us. We weren't able to get it. The question that I have for both of you guys, do you think OBJ gets another chance or was this his last best opportunity to play receiver in the National Football League?
Starting point is 00:17:48 Listen, Unkin, Joe, I've said it all the time. Obviously, when you get to a certain age, they weed you out. They weed you out the opportunity. They weed you out the system. We saw in the preseason that OBJ is very well incapable of getting open. He's very well capable of being a part of that offense in some capacity, no matter how small it is. He still had that special quality.
Starting point is 00:18:07 He still has that it factor. even though he's been injured, you know, a few times. I respect the receivers that they do have there, Uncle Joe. I respect them tremendously. But there's a certain cashier, there's a certain veteran presence, yet they don't have that O'Dell has that he brings to that team. You know, then the comments by Harbaugh, like, come on, we couldn't find ways we wanted to get you on the field a little bit more,
Starting point is 00:18:31 but we couldn't. Yes, you can. When you want to, you just. Right. Yeah, when you want to, you just do, as a head coach, you know. I'm not sure. why you even brought him in. I'm not sure why he allowed him to make the 53-man roster.
Starting point is 00:18:44 And I understand, you know, it's kind of tough because you bring Braxton Barrios up and obviously you need numbers. You need numbers. And so, you know, the odd man out is Odell being that Braxton Barrios is probably going to participate in special teams. Punt and kick return, probably. And kick return. They need that roster spot that O'Dell is taken up.
Starting point is 00:19:01 I mean, it sucks for him. But his services can be useful elsewhere. It can be useful elsewhere. I can see maybe the rain. you know, Mike Hall, and he'd get an opportunity there again, but he can still play this game that we love and cherish, known as football. You know, what you're thinking? I think it's unfortunate for Odell Arka-Ocho because, you know,
Starting point is 00:19:22 he has so much good history with the Giants, and I'm sure he wanted to end it that way. You know what I mean? He wanted to go back to New York, have a pretty good season, whatever it may look like in his point of view. But damn, I thought him making a 53-man roster, So I thought he was going to be locked in. So for him not to be able to get that opportunity.
Starting point is 00:19:42 And when you watch him in the games in the preseason and in the games that he had played, bro, they're not going to draw many opportunities for you to be successful, man. You know why? Because how are they going to justify, you know, getting rid of him if he goes out there and ball out? That's my only thing.
Starting point is 00:19:58 But it's unfortunate for him. I don't know. I don't know if he'll get another opportunity, bro. He's a guy who looks like he worked hard. He looks like he came in camp in great shape. Ellie, look good out there to me. but, you know, we'll see, I guess. You know, Ocho, Joe, before you got on, Ocho and I used to talk about this all the time.
Starting point is 00:20:15 I said, bro, once you start bouncing around, they look at you as a journeyman. The same thing with D.Hop. I told Ocho, this about D. Hop. I said, he's never going to be the same player. I say, they'll give you one chance. Okay, he started at Houston, then he goes to the Cardinals. But then he leaves the Cardinals and goes where? It goes to Tennessee.
Starting point is 00:20:32 And then he goes to Kansas City. And then he goes to the Ravens. once you start bouncing around, they're not going to put you in that situation for you to succeed. No. I don't know why. And I'm scratching my head too,
Starting point is 00:20:47 Ocho and Joe, I'm like, well, why bringing me in? If you're not going to use me, don't bring me in here and have me looking out, oh, man, O'Dill got released again. You didn't even give me a chance. No. One target, I played 18, 19 snaps.
Starting point is 00:21:02 I don't know what you expect me to do with that. I mean, hey, and I'm not saying, he's not a JSCN, now he's not a chase, he's not a top-tier receiver. But I do think he can contribute if given the opportunity. But I'm not surprised they didn't put him in a position
Starting point is 00:21:17 where he could succeed because they don't view him as that. It's like anything. Once you view something as not being useful, what do you do with it? You disregard it. You discard it. You said it just like, I'm good with this.
Starting point is 00:21:32 No matter what it is, if you don't feel it has use or value, you get rid of it. They didn't feel, O'Dell gave them it, and like you said, Barrios can play special teams. Remember, that's going to be a determining factor. We only get so many spots on Sundays, guys. Yeah. What's the guy, who's the guy that can play multiple position?
Starting point is 00:21:54 Odell didn't play special teams. Odell is not a returner. So now I got a, okay, I got a guard, but he can be a swing tackle. I got a guard that can also play tip center. I got a tackle that can play left or right. See, I can do multiple things. OBJ can only play wide receiver, and they weren't using him to do that.
Starting point is 00:22:15 So I'm not surprised by this move, considering what am I supposed to do getting six snaps a game, won't you? The likelihood of I'm getting six snaps, excuse me, six snaps a game, and you're going to give me one to two, three targets. You're not going to give me no three targets on those six snaps.
Starting point is 00:22:33 You're not. You're not even getting those targets. You're probably the third or fourth option anyway. Thank you. And the first second option is probably going to be where the ball goes. I mean, I hate it. I hate it for him, especially for him to work as hard as he has, to come back from all of his injuries,
Starting point is 00:22:48 to still want to play football, to still want to finish off, you know. He didn't dream of playing. And Woody started with the Giants. You know, he was there for seven years. And he was phenomenal. He was phenomenal. He was phenomenal.
Starting point is 00:22:59 He had one of the best rookie seasons, actually the best four or five-year stretches. You know, as a player with the Giants, hell, the NFL in general, in general, I would have loved for him to finish there with a chance to be productive, you know? Let him finish out the season. Let him be productive. Obviously, there's some questions that still need to answer that the receiver position. I'm not sure of Malik neighbors is all the way healthy.
Starting point is 00:23:22 As of yet, he had a shoulder problem the last time I saw him play. So I'm not sure. Maybe they want to go young. You know, at some point, teams do move on, Uncle Joe. At some point, they do. but I just know if you use him in the right capacity, you know, he can still be productive.
Starting point is 00:23:40 That's all. It sucks. I'm kind of, I kind of see where you're going, Ocho. For me, I feel like them getting rid of OBJ, you know, they'll get somebody else,
Starting point is 00:23:52 them 17, 18, 19 snaps with only one or two targets. They'll get it to a young cat who ain't, who ain't going to mind, you know, who ain't the media darling. You know,
Starting point is 00:24:03 OBJ is a media darling, bro. He's going to be in the media of them every day. They're going to interview him. They're going to want to know what's going on. How he doing? What about his hair, his cleats? You feel what I'm saying? It's different.
Starting point is 00:24:12 And I think the Giants probably going on throughout the rest of the season didn't want to have to deal with that, bro. That was going to be a lie because y'all know OBJ ain't going to be cool with what's going on right now. You can tell how he speaks about it. Oh, yeah. Once you become that guy, it's hard to be a guy. Yeah. Hey, you learn real quick, I learned real quick when I was over there down in Boston, huh? You hear me?
Starting point is 00:24:39 Yeah. Joe, I learned real fast, you know, and nobody had to explain it to me. I understood it. They didn't have to explain it to me. So, I mean, Odell would have had to understand that where he is right now in his career. I think that's probably not what he wanted. He wanted the opportunities as if, you know, he was still O'Dell of young. And I know how hard he worked.
Starting point is 00:24:59 I know how hard he worked. I've seen him in the preseason. seeing him slicing and dicing, still getting open, still creating separation, still able to make those plays that he made once in the past. Maybe not the same Odell, you know, he once was, but he's still a viable option. He's still a viable target. And I was hoping they were given the opportunity to showcase that. And, I mean, hell, you know how the NFL is.
Starting point is 00:25:22 A, boy, it's a nasty business, boy, it's happened to all of us. Yeah, Julio Jones, when Julio was in Atlanta. Yes. Left Atlanta. Did you go Tennessee first? You went to Tennessee. They need to Tampa, who went to Philly, Tampa,
Starting point is 00:25:35 went a couple of places. And you put certain individuals that have always had that is factor, huh? You know, you take the opportunities away from, of course they look just like a guy, Joe. Ain't nothing wrong with certain individuals. They can still play the game. But you got to be able to...
Starting point is 00:25:52 Go ahead, Joe. You got to be able to adapt, though. Okay, Ocho. You know, it take me back to, I remember, you remember how AI dominated so much, bro, and then when he got to... traded to like Memphis and then Detroit Pistons. He won the same.
Starting point is 00:26:05 It's hard to adapt in those situations when everything is geared around you. You feel what I'm saying? As much as we love him, you know, it's just a different situation, bro. And I'm sure OBJ wasn't thinking coming into this situation that, you know, he just thought he was going to get more opportunities at the end of the day. He wanted to go out of style. Y'all know OBJ, bro. Come on.
Starting point is 00:26:25 Yes. Yeah. Oh, yeah. When you're a lesser-tier player, you get more opportunity than a historically great player. You know why, Ocho? Let me tell you why it is. Because everybody expects OBJ to be what he once was in New York the first time. He's never going to be that.
Starting point is 00:26:41 And so people say, well, he's washed. If you compare him to what he once was, sure. But he was never going to be that because he was never going to get the opportunities that he got. They didn't give Julio the opportunities. And then Julio, the injury bug started biting Julio. He couldn't stay healthy. But a combination of couldn't stay healthy. and I'm not getting the same opportunity.
Starting point is 00:27:03 Well, you can't expect me to have 100 catches and 13, 1,400 yards with 8-9 touchdown, though, Cho. When you take me from 150 targets, you take me down to 85. With just 85 targets, ain't no way I can get 100 catches. Because you short me 15 targets, even if I caught everything you threw my way. So now people don't look at it like that.
Starting point is 00:27:26 Well, all they see is OBJ. They see Beckham, they see 13, Gene, I want to see the one hand to catch it. I want to see the acrobatic stuff. I want to see the moonwalk. Yeah. Well, they're not giving him opportunities like that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:42 And sometimes, sometimes they say love is like an Eclare. It can't be reheated. Sometimes you can't go home again. Hey, hold on. Hold on, hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Love is like a what.
Starting point is 00:27:54 Let me put this in my notes. A declare. Like the donut declare? Yeah, yeah. Once it goes cold. Joe, it can't be reheated. You got to get that thing hot. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:05 Sometimes Dorothy said, and everybody started to believe, there's no place like home. Hello. Sometimes you can't go home. I know OBJ wanted to go back to where it started, where it all started, and maybe that was the only one that was going to give him an opportunity. But unless you put him in the situation,
Starting point is 00:28:29 it's the same thing as Russell Westbrook. Russell was never going to be the player. wasn't okay C unless you put him in that same environment. Right. If you say, okay, Russ, you're the focal point. Yeah, he can get you a triple double. Yeah. Because he's going to play just that hard.
Starting point is 00:28:46 But when you diminish his role and you play in, instead of him playing 38 to 40 minutes, Joe, you know not all of a sudden he playing 28 to 30 minutes. He's not going to be the same player. Right. OBJ was never going to be the same player because he wasn't going to get the same opportunities. And the fans don't see that, Ocho, you know. That's why they ask you, man, what happened to you? They didn't think, man, look at all the weapons that they had.
Starting point is 00:29:15 I was Johnny Gill. I came to New Edition. They had been there. They bought up in Roxbury. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Man, they didn't want to hear. Man, they didn't give me the same opportunity that I had in Cincinnati. I didn't have the rapport with Brady that I had with Carson.
Starting point is 00:29:35 The offense wasn't, I was the first option. I was the third. Sometimes I was fourth option. Yeah. So how can you expect me to give you same production when I'm three pegs lower on the room than I was in Cincinnati? Yeah. Not possible.
Starting point is 00:29:52 Mm-mm. It is what it is. I've been there. We've all been there. Oh, yeah. We've all been the guy. All of a sudden, we're not the guy. But people still see Johnson on the back of the jersey in football and basketball.
Starting point is 00:30:05 They saw sharp. And it's like, bro, I, damn. But instead of me getting the opportunity, Rod getting them. Yeah. I ain't got no problem with that. Just give me a couple of passes. I'm gonna, hey, just keep me happy a little bit.
Starting point is 00:30:22 Right, right, right. Hey, let me touch the pier skin a little bit. That's all. But the thing is that what I've always, when I was good at guys, I didn't press. Even though I knew I wasn't getting opportunities, man, I was like, bro, this ain't nothing,
Starting point is 00:30:37 but a five-yard route, ain't no sense of me dropping it because I'm trying to get up out of Dodge and try to turn into a 50-yard touchdown. Because you have a tendency to do that because you know your opportunity is a few and far between. Yes.
Starting point is 00:30:49 And you try to make every opportunity, you try to make every opportunity to go. You start pressing. You start pressing. And when you start pressing, it get worse. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:04 It's just like, hey, it's just like in basketball. I'm telling you, bro, it's the same way. Guys come in trying to catch a rhythm, game going good, trying to get involved, and you start pressing, or like we talked about the other night, guys being in their contract year.
Starting point is 00:31:18 Amen, you take a different type of individual to be able to go out there and perform at a high level and not press, knowing that, you know, yeah, the next five, 10 years is on the line. You feel me? Yeah. But you know what, Joe, I was always one of those guys.
Starting point is 00:31:35 I was making the same amount of money, whether you threw me 10 balls or you threw me one. Now, your chances greatly, your odds of winning greatly increased when I got those 10 balls. Right, right, right. But I ain't open my mouth because I'm going to make sure my check. I ain't giving no money back. I don't want you talking about you got conduct detrimental to the team. Nah, I'm going to sit my black ass right here and collect them checks.
Starting point is 00:31:57 I ain't going to say nothing. Y'all saw me all week and practice cooking. I'm cooking. I just need opportunities. The opportunities wasn't there. Hey, Rod, when I left and came back, Rod was the guy.
Starting point is 00:32:12 Rod had gone to Pro Bowls. Rod had been in all pro. Yeah. Back-to-back, 100-catch seasons. How? What I'm supposed to do? It's tough, I know. Hey, it's tough.
Starting point is 00:32:25 Yeah, my bad, Joe. No, go ahead, Joe. I'm going to say, it's the nature of the business. It sucks once you get on the back end. It sucks once you hit a certain age, especially if you don't play quarterback. I mean, it just sucks.
Starting point is 00:32:37 And it's nature of the business. business, and it's been that way for a very long time. And sometimes the casual fan doesn't quite understand it, but those who are football enthusiasts, those who are basketball enthusiasts, they understand the nature of the business and high it works. But sometimes, though, you know, you got to wait your turn. Okay, Ocho, everybody don't get handed the ball to them right when they come into the league, whether it's football or basketball.
Starting point is 00:32:59 Sometimes, here, you got to grind two, three years, bro, before an opportunity to present itself. Yes, you just got to make sure you're ready when that opportunity presents. You feel what I'm saying? And I think as a professional, that's one of the hardest things to do is to stay in shape, keep your mind right, and stay engaged, bro, when you ain't really getting the reps. You know what I think the thing is what separates and probably Joe, you went to, went through it also is because of how we started. We weren't the guys when we started.
Starting point is 00:33:29 So we didn't come in, you didn't come in being able to get 20, 22 shots tonight. Right, right, right, right. I didn't come in being able to get 10, 11 targets a game. Right. So when they reduced my, I had been here before. Yeah. This was an unfamiliar territory. Oh, Cho, when you come in like Odell came in?
Starting point is 00:33:47 Yeah. And you had the first three, four years like he had? Crazy. And then all of a sudden, it hit a little different. Boy, it's hard. It hit a little different. Your parents, all your life, your parents have been giving you $1,000 a month allowance. They cut your allowance to $50.
Starting point is 00:34:09 Let's see how you behave. Exactly. So you go from getting your whole career, Ocho, you don't got 10, 11, 12 targets a game. You already know. Or even on a bad day, I'm going to get eight targets. A great day, I might get 12, 13. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:27 You go from that to getting no targets? That's tough, boy. Yeah. I already know it. Because hey, think about it. OBJ, man, he wanted their storybook ending. Okay, Ocho. The boy had that went back to that blonde
Starting point is 00:34:45 because it took him back. Took him back. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That man wasn't playing, man. He was trying to go out there and do something. Yeah. And the folk cut that man. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:34:54 And I don't like Harbaugh comments either. They couldn't find, they couldn't find him. Yeah, just say it didn't work out and just keep it moving. Don't say we wanted to get it more involved. We just couldn't. know how we didn't know how we could. Yon can figure it out. Hey, hey, hold on.
Starting point is 00:35:11 Somebody from OBJ's team must have been on their ass about something. Right. That might have been it. Wonder why he wasn't playing? Yeah, why he wasn't playing? You know what? I don't even want to speculate that OBJ had a conversation with somebody because I don't know.
Starting point is 00:35:24 All we know is this. They released him based on what we've seen from him. I don't think we're surprised. The man had one target in three games. Who's surprised by that? I don't know he's on a minimums contract, but if I need a roster spot, guess who I'm going to get that roster spot from?
Starting point is 00:35:44 Yeah, he's an odd man out. He's an odd man out. I just don't understand with the questions that are still there, even if you want to go young, to me, I would think you would still need that veteran presence. You still need that reliable target, especially with being up in the air, with Malik coming off ACL, now a shoulder injury,
Starting point is 00:36:06 I just, can I really rely on all the young bulls in there if I'm really, really serious about being consistent in actually trying to win games? It's just hard. When every team, everybody really, it's hard. When this team moves on, this team moves on, and this team moves on, and you're older. If you're young, Ocho, you know, you're like, okay,
Starting point is 00:36:29 a James Harrison got cut, goes to Baltimore, gets cut, comes back, gets cut, gets cut, goes back to Pittsburgh, gets cut, gets cuts again. but he's 22, 23. Yeah. You're 30, 31. You're not fend to get, keep getting cut like that. They're going to get you up out to lead.
Starting point is 00:36:47 Yeah. I hate that. I hate how they weed you out, man. I hate it. Yes. You never get to leave on your own terms. Very seldom, Uncle Joe. Do you get to leave on your own terms and write your own storybook ending?
Starting point is 00:36:58 Very seldom. Right. There's only a few. It's only a handful. Yeah. But guess what? If they play long enough, they get cut too. Because the old saying the medicine says,
Starting point is 00:37:07 if we live long enough, we'll die of something that's other than natural causes. Some disease, if you live long enough. Yes, sir. You play long enough, they'll get you up out of there. I don't give a damn how long you play. I don't care how great you were. It's time, come on.
Starting point is 00:37:22 Yeah. You're absolutely right. You get that knock at that dough. But sure. Or what? They're going to have somebody ready to replace it. Quick. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:37:32 And they've been thinking about it. Like, boy, the first time we see a little slippage. They're moving on. That's why I'm saying, enjoy it while you can, make as much money as you can, create as many memories as you can. Hello. That's what sports are about. Money and memories. Now, the objective is to try to get as much as both as you possibly can.
Starting point is 00:37:56 Hello. Because it's going to end. Yeah. Whether you want it to or not, everybody doesn't get a lawyer or doctor or somebody, you know, you get a 20. there have been very few 20 players that played 20 years that weren't quarterbacks and kickers. Yeah. You get Jackie Slater as an offensive lineman.
Starting point is 00:38:15 You get Jerry Rice at the wire receiver. You get Jim Marshall. But other than that, it's basically quarterbacks and kickers. Yeah. That's why I tell the guys, hey, give it all you got why you can. Because it's going to come to an end now. Yeah. Whether you want it to or not.
Starting point is 00:38:37 And it doesn't matter if you think you got more, is in you. It only matters if one of those 32 teams think you can contribute or help them. Hello. Hello. That phone is going to stop bringing. Man, I'm in great shape. Man, I can still. Shoot.
Starting point is 00:38:54 I feel like I can go out there right now, Joe. You feel me? Yeah. Devil is a lie. You can't go out there and take them his boy. You see how the boy that dude hit you like he hit Jaila Hertz. Now it just owns your hunking or ice. Hey, see, I, I would have been here, I would have been put that, what you'd be saying,
Starting point is 00:39:20 hit that blinker? Man, that blinker, I would have been making a U-turn. They didn't plan around. No, no, no, no, you don't, you don't, you don't chance it like that. But OBJ, let's see if somebody picks him up, uh, moving. This record is on. Miley is having a moment. New name, new album.

Starting point is 00:44:35 Here's Mike Brable denying rumors of friction between him and Drake May. He had heard that there is an issue between you and Drake May. Are there any issues? He heard from him. That's a good question for him. Unnamed sources? Yep, my name sources. Okay.
Starting point is 00:44:53 Let me just tell you why I'm here. I'm here because Drake was the quarterback. Believe it or not, I had choices to where I wanted to coach. I wanted to coach here because Drake was the quarterback. So, you know, I don't have really much other to add to that about, you know, a comment that from an unnamed source. But I'll just tell you what I've told numerous people if they want to ask me, while I'm here.
Starting point is 00:45:19 Hey, I think people, reporters should already know that at times, you know, quarterbacks and coaches don't see the eye to eye. For sure.
Starting point is 00:45:28 I'm sure in basketball when it comes to basketball, sometimes the players on the court don't see eye to eye with the coach. Now, what you do hope and what you do want is the two people
Starting point is 00:45:36 that always have to be in line and the person that's on the field that has to be an extension as the coach is your quarterback. Yeah. But at times, there is friction. Hell, I've seen it.
Starting point is 00:45:46 I've seen it with my own eyes. No, for myself. In that same place. That same winning organization, because of the expectation that they create for themselves, at times, it's like this. Yeah. But it only created greatness and it helped me better understand why they always won consistently time and time again. Now, right now they're one and two. There's some frustration.
Starting point is 00:46:06 Drake May hasn't played well. Maybe Mike Brable, Mike Brable, being the way he coaches, the way he is, maybe might have been a little harsh on him. You know, you don't know because we're not in the building, but whatever it is, they have going on, they got to get it together. Because Mike Raven ain't going nowhere. And Drake May ain't going to where. Right. I do believe, I do believe Braves, when you're that level of coach, he had opportunity
Starting point is 00:46:28 that he had other suitors. If you've got suitors, me personally, who has the best quarterback? Bingo. Because that's going to be for me to stay for an extended period of time. Because without that, I'll give damn how great I am at X's and O's and strategy and being a CEO and managing people. without a quarterback, you're getting your ass handed to you and you're getting your pink slip.
Starting point is 00:46:53 Yeah, every time. They're going to give you your walking papers. He's looking at like, hey, I got a second year quarterback. That means I could have him for a potential long period of time. I bring somebody, hey, Joshua McDaniels, I've seen him work miracles with a lot of quarterbacks. I saw what he did with Brady. Sit Brady aside.
Starting point is 00:47:11 I could have coached Brady. Sit Brady aside. But we saw what he did with Matt Castle. We saw what he did with Jimmy Garland. We saw what he did with Jacobi Bresset. We saw what he did with Matt Jones. So his ability to coach there, there in New England. He's been sauce every other place he's ever been in.
Starting point is 00:47:29 But there, he's been spectacular. Yeah. So I don't have a problem with that. And there should be. Bro, we're not winning. Because you know why we're not winning? Because Drake, mate, you're playing horrible. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:41 I'm not fit to pat you on the back. Too many times parents pat their kids on the back when the kid effing up. And then there's a level of expectation that that's how the world's going to be. The world's not going to be like that. When you mess up, your ball's going to put foot in you and going to put you out the dope. Hey, boy, the world cut through, right? Hello.
Starting point is 00:47:59 So I'm telling you now, Drake, May, bro, you're going to get cut and get me fired. You got to play better. Bro, look at these numbers. He's completing 64% of his passes. In three games, he's thrown for 585 yards, one touchdown, six interceptions. With two fumbles. What am I supposed to do with that? We in week three, he got six interceptions?
Starting point is 00:48:21 Six interceptions? And two fumbles. Hey, I think the most glaring thing that we're looking at right now is the fact that they just coming off playing the Super Bowl. Yes. So the expectations are there, obviously losing AJ Brown. You know, obviously probably is number one. But yeah, Ocho, he hadn't been playing well, bro. So look, all these questions, they're going to come.
Starting point is 00:48:45 And when you're losing, y'all know, when you lose them, bro. It can tear the damn house down. You hear me? Yes. So they got to stay locked in. They got to get on one of court, bro. They got to get on the same page.
Starting point is 00:48:59 Plus, a lot of people feel like quarterback should be above reproach. If you're not playing well, you're not playing well. Fans can see that. People might get on us because they say, oh, y'all harsh. You're not harsh on this one. Well, maybe there's not the same level of expectations. Right. Great May, after coming up the Super Bowl, there was the level of expectation he was supposed to play better.
Starting point is 00:49:25 He's his third year. He wasn't supposed to regress. He was supposed to progress. Progress must progress. He's regressed. He's looked worse this year than he did in his rookie year. So it's only right that even if his coach is calling it out, like son, you got to play better. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:46 In order for us to win, you have to play back. You're continuously putting us in harm's way by playing bad is putting our defense out on the field more than they should have to play. And I don't care how great your defense is. If you put them out on the field enough, they'll crack. Yeah. You know what else is weird too? When Bill was there and there were any issues, you ever notice, you never heard a reporter say a source said something to Bill? Nope.
Starting point is 00:50:13 Ever. So, I mean, they got leaks. They got cracks inside the locker room because nobody should know that there should be any issue. going on. Nobody should know. Yeah. Part of the Patriot way is everything was always kept in the house. I might have only been there that one year and I understand they had some some other problems or other issues, you know, with the flake gate and spy gate and all that stuff. But that year I was there, there were no problems.
Starting point is 00:50:36 Yeah. You never hear stuff like this come out. Well, we heard from anonymous source, unnamed source that you and Tom don't get along. Or you guys had a riff or you guys had, no. Mm-mm. Mm-mm. But now all of a sudden, Brable's the coach,
Starting point is 00:50:51 a new era, you know, is there now. Now things that are going on in-house are getting leaked out of the house. Yeah, it's hard. Because the more people
Starting point is 00:51:01 know something, the greater chance it is to get out. Yeah. Yeah. Two people can keep a secret. One of them got to be dead. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:11 So it's only one person. The moment, because you never know, people pillar talk, that's the number, That's the number of how things get out. It's pillar talking, Joe. Yeah, man.
Starting point is 00:51:24 You're right. Yeah. Yeah. It's really, really simple. And this is what I like to tell young guys. You can take work home, but you can never take home to work. Mm. Mm.
Starting point is 00:51:38 What was discussed at what was discussed at the practice facility, it never came home with Shanna. Hello. Man, I don't know. How you don't know? You was there. Right. Man, I must have been in the training room, or maybe I was in the wake room when that happened.
Starting point is 00:51:55 Right. I was right there in the right there in the thick of it. Hey. And you need to get your ass off the phone all that gossiping. Because when the rubber needs to meet the road, they're going to put that off on somebody. Yeah. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:15 You're going to be that somebody because you got less tenure than the other wives that's been girlfriends that's been here. Stay out of that. Well, they're going. You're not going. Hello. Hello. You don't want to get in that mess, man.
Starting point is 00:52:33 Not one time. No, sir. Not one time I dated anybody who did anything. No. Everybody say they go. I don't care. Yeah, that's long. That's just how you keep confusion down, Joe.
Starting point is 00:52:50 Yeah. weeks after dislocating his left elbow against the Cowboys, Jane Daniels, spoke about possibly playing Sunday against the Colts with a brace on. Let's take a listen to what J.D. had to say. Do you think you'll be ready for Sunday? It's taking the day by day. Does it, do you have to change how you throw the ball at all? Is there any kind of differences? How about handing the ball off?
Starting point is 00:53:16 Nope. Nope. It doesn't make any difference? Nope. Hey, a quarterback, they answer everything like a politician, boy. or like the president. They never directly answered a question, but I was watching him throw the ball today. I mean, he got that brace on. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:34 And it's like, it's like, it's bent a little bit. The only thing I'm worrying about is how do you fall? Exactly. When you get tackled. Not only if you get tackled in the open field, but obviously if you get sacked. Football is finally back, and prize picks is bringing out their best offer yet.

Starting point is 00:54:49 Because you're not going to want to put that arm down. You're going to have to land on that shoulder. Tell me. I play, well, I played four weeks after, but I had the brace. Right. It was my right one, my right one. And it was hard because that's my playing hand. That's the one I get down the stand.
Starting point is 00:55:07 And when I first, you know, to go back out there before I get there, you know, I had to test it out. Man, you know, hitting that pad. Woo! Hey, and the last thing you want to do is let everybody know, especially your opponents, that you're still hurting. or that you got a soft spot. I know they're going to come at him anyway. Okay, Ocho.
Starting point is 00:55:29 But I think that's why he answers questions so quick because, nope, ain't got no problem, nope, it ain't going to be nothing. Yep, I'm ready. You know what I'm saying? Hey, Joe, hey Joe, even though he's not answering the question the right way, when they play whoever the commander's playing, them boys on that front line.
Starting point is 00:55:45 Huh? In that second level, they're going to test that elbow. Oh, yeah. No question. They're going to test it anyway. No question. They ain't rightfully so old. Surgery was needed to be ASAP, then that's, I've got to do what's best for me.
Starting point is 00:55:58 We've had those conversations. I was blessed enough to go back out there on the practice field. I'm not really concerned at this moment. Should he be concerned about returning too quickly? Man, it's hard to say that, Anka-Ocho, because considering the fact that what's at stake, meaning this is contract here. For sure. Hey, man, that man want to put on a great performance.
Starting point is 00:56:21 He wants to show that he's worth, you know, he's worth top dollar. it's hard for me to tell a young man, hey man, don't come back, bro. Or, you know, you never know what he's thinking, bro, I can understand, you know, to say the least. I can understand why he's coming back. Obviously, he wanted to put the commanders in a position of where they can make the postseason.
Starting point is 00:56:39 And he knows if he ain't at the helm, it's going to be hard for them to do that. I don't know if anybody, I mean, I guess you could. I mean, most of the people are. Rod dislocated his. Rod came back. I dislocated mine. I missed a month.
Starting point is 00:56:57 I missed exactly four games. And it was my dominant hand. So it's not his throwing. Obviously, if it was his throwing, now how you're going to throw with that big old brace on? Right. You got to get surgery if it was a throwing hand. So.
Starting point is 00:57:13 But I agree with you, Joe. I understand. And I think he understands what this moment is. It's like, bro. Yeah. This is a, what is this year four? Yeah. No, three.
Starting point is 00:57:26 Three. Three. Three. Three. Because him and Caleb came in together. And he knows like their three is when they come. It's like, okay, let's get something done. Let's move the chains.
Starting point is 00:57:36 Yes, sir. This is the one that they put you in the tax bracket that secured the family for a very, very, very, very, very long time. Oh, yeah. If the first one didn't get you, the second one will. Hello. He understands that. You get the best medical advice you can. You go about how you feel.
Starting point is 00:57:59 It doesn't do you any good to go back out there understanding that, I understand that, you know, contract I want to get this. But if you go back out there, re-hurt that thing, re-injure it, shh-h-h-h. Or thinking about it. Or playing, thinking about it. That's even worse if you're out there
Starting point is 00:58:15 playing, thinking about being injured. Yeah. I think the difference is, though, the fact that it's an upper extremity injury, meaning it says off-hand. you know, I think you can, you can subside with that if you're the commanders versus it being lower extremity, a knee, a hip, an ankle. Yeah, for sure.
Starting point is 00:58:33 You know what I mean? So I think the young man going to be all right, bro. I think he's going to be all right. Let's see him get back to playing, you know, high-level football. The thing is it just getting away because that's it. The left, you what you try to do, Ocho, you try to stif on. What they do now. Stip arm.
Starting point is 00:58:50 Yeah. Knock it down. He got to make some business. decisions now. He got to make some business decisions. Yeah, hey, we talk about
Starting point is 00:58:58 hitting that sideline and trying, hey man, you bet that blink better be on soon as you get over there on that damn side line.
Starting point is 00:59:04 Yeah. Quick. Yeah. It's, like I said, I mean, a lot of people played with it
Starting point is 00:59:11 and, you know, JJ dislocated his and he wore the brace the rest of his career. If you notice, JJ White, he always wore the brace even though he was healed.
Starting point is 00:59:19 Yeah, yeah, yeah. He felt, he felt comfortable with it. Me, I wore a sleeper on mind, I couldn't wait to take that big old clumberson thing off. I got time every time pulling it up, you know,
Starting point is 00:59:29 reassing it. But I played the rest of the year with it, though. I definitely played the rest of the year with it. But, yeah, it's going to be very, very interesting to see if it limits him in any way, if it takes away any of his aggressiveness, does he become hesitant to run the
Starting point is 00:59:48 football? Because you still got to play the quarterback position. I promise you, them loving defenders, ain't feeling sorry for you. Yeah, I'm not. They're still going to try to tell you a damn head off. Ew. So we'll see how they go.
Starting point is 01:00:03 I don't know. Who did they play this week? I think he's out one more week. Me personally, I think he's going to miss one more week. I think Marriota winning that game. I think that gave him a little reprieve. I think he's out one more week. I agree.
Starting point is 01:00:19 I think that bought him a little time. Yeah. Gront played with one. I don't know if I think Gronk dislocated his. I think Gronk did something that he ended up having an affection in his elbow. Yeah, he'll, he wore that big one too. He wore that Barry Barnes.
Starting point is 01:00:39 And the hockey guard, the hockey pads on. What's that? Now, New Dallas Cowboy Joy Porter Jr. said the Steelers definitely disrespected him and undervalued him over the last several months. Let's take a listen with Deuce. had to see. Yeah, kind of, most likely that.
Starting point is 01:01:05 Just more of the value. I didn't feel like it was really that over there. And I feel like they're willing to be, they're showing me that they value me over here so far with the talks that I had. So I feel like that's all I need to really show them I can do what I do. Point in Pittsburgh where you kind of did feel a little disrespected from the contract negotiations or from a value standpoint. Definitely, definitely.
Starting point is 01:01:28 Like I said, it was a hard process, a lot of ups and down. Definitely felt disrespected. definitely felt undervalued. But that's the old news now. You know, that's how I look at it. I'm on two new beginnings, new chapters. And like I said, I'm a cowboy. I'm in Dallas, so I'm happy about that.
Starting point is 01:01:44 Hey, hey. Hey, I like it. And listen, it was disrespectful for Uncle Joe. It was a disrespect. I understand, you know, he doesn't have the all pros. He doesn't have the accolades like some of the other, you know, top three, top five, top five DPs in NFL that are respected. And when time for them to get paid, there is no back and forth.
Starting point is 01:02:02 There is no discussion. There's really nothing to talk about because the market sets itself based on what they've accomplished. But when I look at Brother Jerry Porter, right? And I look at what he's done. He's a man corner. There's not many of the men to leave. He's a man corner. First down, second down, third down.
Starting point is 01:02:18 In his half or in their half, it doesn't matter where you're at. At times, he will follow you too at the times. He will do that depending on who he's playing against. Another thing, I did my homework. How many tests out have been scored on Joey Porter, Jr., in the last three years. Ask me how many, Joe? How many, old Joe?
Starting point is 01:02:37 One. What? One. Chad, correct me if I'm wrong. How many touchdowns have been scored on Joy Porter Jr. in the last three years? I guarantee you is one. All that means something.
Starting point is 01:02:49 So when you've accomplished something like that, of that magnitude, that's not seen or celebrated by those that do, you know, the all-pro voting or getting to the pro-vote, you know, when it's time to get paid, because when they drafted you, you want me to play well. I have one job to do. Come up and tackle and stop people from scoring touchdown to catching ball.
Starting point is 01:03:09 And he's done that very, very well. Thank you to the stillers for the disrespect. Because I feel like Joey Porter, Jr. He has a chip on his shoulder, Uncle Ocho, and in Dallas is what we need, bro. We need guys with chips on their shoulders, willing to come in, work hard, set the tone. He looked good.
Starting point is 01:03:29 He can look good in that blue with that. a star on his hat. You know what I mean? Hey, Elcho, guess who his agent is? Who? Mulugeta? Molygetta? He has George Pickens, have Overshawn. He has about seven of the Cowboys that's going to be unrestricted free agents.
Starting point is 01:03:45 What's you trying to say, he? What are you trying to say, y'all? You know he had Michael last year, Joe. Yeah. Hey, you know what that means, Joe? What do you mean? Listen, for one, it's a good thing. It's a good thing from Mulagena, right?
Starting point is 01:03:59 Yeah. Now, it's not a good thing for some of the players that play for the Cowboys because Jerry's not going to be able to pay all of them. You're not going to be able to pay all of them. Joy Porter, Jr., he went to the Dallas Cowboys with the idea and the conversations that were had, I'm going to get an extension. So if he gets his extension, it has to be an extension that not going to reset the market, but that is respective of his market value and what he's been able to do.
Starting point is 01:04:24 Yeah. Right? So let's talk about my brother, Pick, NFL Young Boy. He's due. Now he's on a franchise tag this year. What's going to happen when the season ends, Joe? You can't pay everybody. Joe, you got to pay DAC.
Starting point is 01:04:38 Dak is up after this year too, Joe. Ocho, can we get there first? Damn. Listen, I'm telling you what the future is going to look like before we even get there, Joe. I understand we're in the middle of the season. I'm just letting you know what's going to happen when the season is. Yeah, it's foreshattering, Joe.
Starting point is 01:04:54 That's all. It's a lot more football left to play, Ocho. It's a lot of questions that I can't answer for you right now. You know, only time you. You don't have to answer. You don't have to answer it for me. Joe, I'm telling you what's going to happen before it even happened, Joe. That's all.
Starting point is 01:05:07 All right. That's all. But, yeah, I like y'all, though, Joe. I like y'all. I like y'all. Look, I think the thing is for me is that, and he's like, he was willing, he's willing to pay on a contract, not signing, as opposed to doing it for the Steelers. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:23 Because he said the way they're talking versus the way other Steelers were talking. And it's kind of like that in a relationship. Sometimes you would do something for somebody else you wouldn't do in the last relationship. Yeah. Because they didn't have made you sour on them, Ocho and Joe. You know what I'm talking about, chat. Y'all know what I'm talking about. You know damn well.
Starting point is 01:05:40 There have been things that you did for someone new, the very person he or she asked you to do, and you said, hell no. Yeah. Right. Hey, that's a good one right there, man. I like that analogy. I've never heard it quite put like that.
Starting point is 01:05:56 Huh? And it brings back memories. I like that. Oh, that one thing by Joe, Joe, Joe B. Coach Joe's like that. You right? Oh, yeah. You ain't right.
Starting point is 01:06:07 You ain't right. You ain't wrong when you're right. Hello, I'm picking up what you put now. I'm picking up what you put now. I know exactly what you're talking about, boy, huh? That's a good one. Because we've all been there, Ocho. And, you know, some people are going to get like, not me.
Starting point is 01:06:24 I don't do it. Yes, you have. Everybody has been in a relationship and done something for the new person that the old person asked you to do and you said no. Yeah. No, no, nope. And you know what that also comes down to, what's that?
Starting point is 01:06:38 Sometimes, you know, the old relationships, right? You know, it's one thing for when you become, you get comfortable, you know, thing and become a routine, and you meet somebody new, and that new person, for some reason, always been able to bring something different out of you that you never knew you had in you before.
Starting point is 01:06:53 Yeah. You hear me? But they could also get something out of, but I know I got in me too. Hello. They get that too out of you. Yeah. I think the thing is that, look, the Steelers have a very, very distinct way of doing things.
Starting point is 01:07:12 Yes. You either get the deal done before the season or you get it done after the season. But they don't do, I mean, they don't do any negotiating. No matter to play. None. So they needed to, I don't know if Junior knew that, but he probably did because I'm sure his dad, his dad was there. Hell his dad ended up having to leave. He went up going, uh, uh, Jerry went to,
Starting point is 01:07:37 Miami. Miami, yeah. And had 15 sacks. Damn. So he's very, his dad knew that once this thing got to the season, he's like, bro, they're not doing no contract. Now they're mad. They're like, hold on, how he was downgrading, because I'm talking about his back, he wasn't going to be able to play Thursday night, but now he's looking like that, you know,
Starting point is 01:07:57 he might be able to play. You know, back's a funny thing. They healed and they come and they go. I told y'all, man, I told you, it's hard to dictate if that back is really hurting. You know what I mean? Joy Porter ready. Ain't nothing wrong with him, Joe. You know, ain't nothing wrong with him.
Starting point is 01:08:13 He's ready. He's ready. He wasn't nothing wrong with him in the first place. He just wanted you to want him. Hey. Hey. He just wanted to want him. That's what he wanted, though, Joe.
Starting point is 01:08:25 That's it. I already know. That boy ready to go. Hey, show me. Show me. Show me you value me. Hello. Huh?
Starting point is 01:08:32 That's all. That's all. Hey, Joe, you ever had the, hey, Joe, you ever been with somebody, right, Joe? Um, y'all stay with me. Hey, chat, y'all stay with me. I don't know if y'all ever pull this, but I'll pull it before. And you mess up and things just, they just ain't going well. They don't seem to be going well. And she seemed like, you know, her routine, it kind of changed her a little bit. So you act like something wrong with you. You go put yourself in the hospital and you get the little band at the hospital and you get a little band. I'm in the hospital. I ain't know. I ain't, I ain't know what that far. That's like thin line between love. I don't ever hate type, no. Y'all ain't never did that? To make it, to make it so you can get that feeling like she care again? Nah. Oh, so I'm tripping.
Starting point is 01:09:11 Yeah, you're on your own on this one, Ocho. All right, but maybe somebody in the chat. Chat, fellas, y'all ain't ever went to the hospital and took a pitch of the wristband and let her know you was in the hospital so you come see you. Oh, Joe. And it may, and it make you feel like all bubbly again. Like, okay, she really can't about me. That boy line crazy, man.
Starting point is 01:09:30 Yeah. Yeah, that boy in line looked cray-cray, crazy. That's what we call that little cray-cray, that borderline look crazy. You got to go to Lits, great lengths like that to get a reaction. Hey, I was diabolical. Yeah, yeah. Hey, no, not really. I was a legit.
Starting point is 01:09:43 You know, when you're a shorty, man, you even really got nothing else to really in, you know. So back then you have to, you have to, you know, resort to all type of stuff, huh? Just to get other options, though. And, I mean, you're going to the hospital is a little extreme if you ask me. Yeah, yeah. Not really. Not really because she showed up, Joe. She showed up.
Starting point is 01:10:02 Yeah, she, hey, Joe, she showed up for me. Hey, she might have showed up to finish the job. I got to be careful, Joe. Hey, I got to let them tell me what, I got to let them tell me what's wrong with me. Right, right. I can't believe y'all never did that. No, man, come on, man. Listen, I was young.
Starting point is 01:10:20 I was just a little sophomore at high school. I'm just thinking about some of the things, some of the things I did to go to the extent of, you know, I like you, I want you, you not give me the attention that I feel I deserve. So I'm going to go to lengths that I never would before just to get you to just to read you back in. Because he mentioned, he mentioned that even without a new contract, his back is feeling much better. And there's a chance he plays Sunday against the Texas. Anybody got any thoughts on his back all of a sudden feeling better? Yeah, yeah, I do.
Starting point is 01:10:51 I do new situation, huh? Hey, man, I'm going into a whole new situation. Okay, Ojo, we started this thing over. They ain't traded for him to not give him a new contract So he probably get a new contract Now he probably won't reset the market But he'll get some value to where he's no and understand That a team really cares for him, bro
Starting point is 01:11:09 Right And he's gonna go out there and compete We need him this weekend too This weekend And that's the thing Who y'all got again, Joe? Texans. Texans.
Starting point is 01:11:21 Okay. Hey, Nico Collins out again? Mm-hmm. A. Yeah, hey, Joe, y'all, Hey, Joe, y'all good, Joe. Y'all good. Joe, you got it to a great start.
Starting point is 01:11:31 You had Fannie in the night, right? I got likely in the lineup. Why did you put Fadden in? Hey, wait, do I have, do I have Fanny? No, you ain't got Fanny. I got Fanny. He got Fannin. Wait, wait, what?
Starting point is 01:11:51 I wonder if I had anybody. Chat, I'm out here getting drug and getting Fannin. Three. You got you little 12 points. Hey, Joe, I ain't even mentioned, you know, I ain't going to say that. Let it go then. Let it go.
Starting point is 01:12:04 I ain't going to say, hey, oh, why I put BTA to Joe. Whoa, whoa, whoa, why I thought you said you weren't going to say nothing. Yeah, I said, I won't go say none to you, but I'm talking about it.
Starting point is 01:12:13 Hey, he said, come years. No, but look, and the thing is, hey, you know, the new one, hey, I open the door, I'll get the door, hey, I run to the door.
Starting point is 01:12:25 I'm back to talking, I'll run to open the door for, yeah, walk, ride to the car, open the door. I ain't never did that before. Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:12:32 Right. Hey, they knew when you sit there and talk on the phone about a whole bunch of nothing, no. Nothing. What? Hey, hold on, Joe, in the bed. Hey, with your feet kicked up in there? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:12:46 Talk about anything and everything. Yeah. Never did that before. Spill about three, four hours on the phone. Yeah. Yeah. That first conversation is going to be long. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:12:57 Yes. The first is going to be low. Y'all going to be asking all kind of dumb questions. All the kind of questions. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It did, well, why you don't talk on the phone? Man, why you don't talk to you on no phone, no three, four hours every time you're on the phone.
Starting point is 01:13:10 Now, come on now. Hey, hey, the beginning of everything is such a good. Man, you know, damn well, I ain't got no time to be. Hey, hey, when you're in that honeymoon phase, that's the start of it. That's the start of that relationship. I get a good 10-15. That's about all I got for you. I haven't been to get, you ain't fit to get no more three-four.
Starting point is 01:13:28 Hey, you know, that's a great question. As humans, I understand human nature. I understand human behavior in general. How can you extend? It would be a great thing if there was some type of study on how to extend the honeymoon favor. You want me to be honest with you? Joe, it's hard, Joe.
Starting point is 01:13:51 If you won't get that hoo-ha, you'll keep working. See, once you get that hoo-ha, you kind of feel like you conquered it a little bit, you know what I mean? So you don't feel like, you know, you don't really feel like you got to work that hard no more. You feel what I'm talking about? You know, but when you ain't got it, oh, boy, you drive 45 minutes to an hour, huh, just to go hang out. You hear me? I used to we do that, the knee bad, now, right?
Starting point is 01:14:20 Knee bad. Hey, you know, back in the day, see, I don't know if y'all had, but you had that pay for you had the phone, you had to fall. a year like this year. Oh, yes, sir. Yes, sir. Yeah. Uh-huh. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:14:32 Yeah. Kept putting quarters in there. Yeah. Hey, man, you got a quarter, you got a K's quarter? Yeah. Clean. Hey, hey, hey, but it wasn't nothing like if you was at the crib and you was on their phone, you had to hold it like that.
Starting point is 01:14:44 Oh, yeah. And, Grandma jump on that. Hey, boy, don't be tired my damn line up. Hey, grandma, I didn't. Line up. But see, back then, Joe. When we first got the phone, everybody, it was a community. line. So if I was your neighbor, I can pick up the phone and hear you talking.
Starting point is 01:15:03 Damn. I'd be like, hey, Joe, how much long are you going to be on the phone? Hey, oh, Joe. Hey, hey, my grandma need to make a call. Can you call your person back? Yeah. Damn. Oh, yeah. And see, that's how you took. If you didn't want, you didn't want to talk to somebody, you just took the phone off the hook. And it just ring busy. Um, um, um, um, um, um, Oh, yeah. I remember that, boy. Oh, them, did with a day. That spinning joint.
Starting point is 01:15:33 We had to put your finger in there and spin it just. Oh, that rotary phone. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, yeah. That was the time by grandma. Boy, you got school in the morning.
Starting point is 01:15:43 Get out that phone. Oh, them some good days. Good memory, boy. And you try to pick, hey, you try to pick the phone up. It's coming. So could nobody. Hold on. I bet y'all, I'll bet y'all to remember this.
Starting point is 01:16:04 When you, when you was young, and you and her stay on the phone all night, and you wake up in the morning, and the phone still be, it still be by your head. Yeah, hey, Ocho, because you didn't already ask the last night, you sleep and she said, no, I mean, I'm sleepy, but I ain't sleepy, you know. You all wake up, phone's still in your head. Yeah, yeah. Hello? Hello?
Starting point is 01:16:29 Hey, they're with a good old day, though, for real. Why y'all are playing? Hey, good days. I'm trying to think, man, we only had one phone, man. And the phone was in the kitchen. But we had, you know, we had that long, y'all, y'all remember the phone in the kitchen, had that long, that long cord.
Starting point is 01:16:45 Yeah, yeah. Oh, yeah. And they can stretch all the way to the back room back down. That thing like inspect the gadget lead. Thanks. Well, there was the day. man, there was the days. This is the third time.
Starting point is 01:17:01 This is the third trade between the Cowboys and the Steelers in the past two years. The Cowboys have received George Pickens, Joy Porter, Jr., and Broderick Jones, and a 2027 fourth round pick. The Steelers received a 226, third round pick,
Starting point is 01:17:17 which was Drew Aller, a 2027 third round pick, a 2027 fifth round, sixth round, and a 28 second round pick. Man, you're talking about these used to be bitter, bitter adversaries. They used to play each other in the Super Bowl. If I'm not mistaken, I think they played each other like three times in the Super Bowl. And now they're doing business like, hey, they're best friends.
Starting point is 01:17:41 Hey. Yeah. All you need is somebody else who wants you, oh, Joe. For sure. It's cool. That's it. Yeah, you don't want me. It's cool.
Starting point is 01:17:48 I leave. I ain't tripping. I pack my stuff up. I take anything I got. I dip. Let me get my damn PlayStation in my Xbox, too. Hey. Hey, you know how I go.
Starting point is 01:17:57 What you won't do, somebody else will? Hello. Huh? So look, we need them stealers, them ex-stallers. We need them to show up and show out. Huh? Yeah. Show why we went out there and got you.
Starting point is 01:18:13 Huh? Come on, man. Y'all know we're trying to do. Y'all ain't got no test yet, Joe. Huh? Y'all don't have no test yet. This week, it's no difference. to the Texas, but this week, it should be easy for y'all.
Starting point is 01:18:29 The Cowboys have 20 players said to be unrestricted free agents in 2027. Six of those are represented by David Mulligetta. George Pickens, Joy Porter Jr., DeMarion Overshaw, PJ, PJ, P.J.L.L.J. Say, we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.
