Starting point is 00:01:24 Listen to Wellness Actually on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, everybody, I'm Sir Rico Foster Brasby. What's up, y'all? I'm Y'all. your girl, Cheryl Swoops. When you tune in to a new episode of our podcast Levels to this, you're definitely going to get some spicy WNBA analysis. But we're more than just hoops. And the real conversation is what we actually breathe.

And they're not asking for permission. Listen to levels to this with Stroze Spooops and Tarika Foster Brasby on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. I'm Munga Chitigula and I'm back with a new season of my podcast, Skyline Drive. This time I talk to scientists, biopunks, curmudgens, blues owners, super seniors,
Starting point is 00:02:23 and Goa's top cryotherapy lab to try to understand this obsession with living forever and what it means for all of us. And I get into a bit of trouble along the way. I'd say probably start bone smashing. That doesn't work. To make it look more defined. They say it works. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:02:38 Listen to Skyline Drive, How to Live Forever on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Ocho, check this out. Seahawks Super Bowl champion, Byron Murphy, was walking around with the Lombardi Trophy at his wedding this weekend. Let's take a look at the video, y'all. Hey, that's dope, huh?
Starting point is 00:03:16 I think they're starting to treat the Lombardi Trophy like they do to Stanley Cup, where everybody gets an opportunity to keep it for a date. Right I like that Was that the actual trophy Or You think that was the actual Okay
Starting point is 00:03:30 Hey that's live Yeah So you know Ain't nothing left for me to do Hey I have a question Ain't nothing left for me to do But go on to get Hey, I don't do that thing
Starting point is 00:03:42 Oh hold on See that's what I understand So those are replicas Like you have right No you get Oh look John Got the OG
Starting point is 00:03:53 most people get the little minis. Right. But me. What those run on? I don't know. This was gifted to me. You know what? I'm going to get me one of the made two in gold.
Starting point is 00:04:14 I'm going to get one of, I'm going to get one of, I'm going to get one of the made and gold, man. Yeah. I don't know what made and gold in the Lombardi and silver. The same way I got my bus and gold. and the bus is bronze. Bronze. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:28 So I want everything to be gold. The one that they give you is made out of wood. The one that they put in the hall. It is. The one that's in the hall is the bronze. The one that give you is the wood. But I'm going to donate mine to Savannah State. For real?
Starting point is 00:04:43 Yeah. And my jacket. Okay. Because I ain't got my one jacket. What I'm going to do? Get a jacket to the kid. Give one jacket to the kid. Give a Hall of Fame ring to a kid.
Starting point is 00:04:54 Nah, that's going to go to Savannah State. I'm going to get a ring, the jacket, and the bus to Savannah State. The kids get enough stuff. Trust me. They get enough. They'll be okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:05 They'll be okay, Ocho. Yeah. So that's what I'm going to do. I'll have my Super Bowl trophy at my wedding. Who are all coming? Hey, we, we get, we get married next year, huh? Yep. We're going to do the dude wedding or no?
Starting point is 00:05:22 We can do that? You know, you get a discount. Yeah. But you know, right now, Ocho, I've come to the realization, I'm done being with somebody that I have fun with. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Wait a minute. Wait a minute.
Starting point is 00:05:38 Wait a minute. This is the very, this is the very pivotal moment. Yeah. Like, I like where you're going. Wait, wait, wait. Let me get comfortable. And I talk to me. I found somebody that I can suffer with.
Starting point is 00:05:51 I can endure with. Because you can have fun with anybody. Right. Come on, man. You can have fun with anybody. Take your time. Say you're going to them off. Coach, say you're going to Tahiti, say you're going to Santerini,
Starting point is 00:06:01 amikonos, Bali. You'll have fun. Right. When you come to suffering, when it comes to enduring. Come on now. Who you want to do that with? Who would do that with you? I got a question, though.
Starting point is 00:06:22 I got a question. Now, when you say you found someone you can suffer with, you got somebody you can have fun with. You know what that's like. Yeah, yeah. You know what it's like when the sun is shining. But when it's cloudy and it's storm and it's raining. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:39 They got the umbrella for you. Yes. How you even got to that point to realize that? Because most of the time, when it's storming and thunder, when it's thunder and lightning, most of the time everything goes this way. Because when you laying there and she said, baby, I'm counting your breath. breed
Starting point is 00:07:03 nobody else has ever done that come on man I don't this ain't this ain't yeah this uncle
Starting point is 00:07:17 on your last ride right right we go out we're hey I like that listen
Starting point is 00:07:23 I'm busy the kid and Jesse James we're going out one land right bam bam bam bam bam bam bam
Starting point is 00:07:27 bam bam bam bam bam bam bam bam bam bam bam bam bam bam bam I I like that I never heard I never heard that one before
Starting point is 00:07:35 I never heard that movie before. I like that. Most of the time, you know, my grandma always say, find someone that's willing to unpack your baggage, because we all got it. We all come with it. Yeah. We all do.
Starting point is 00:07:45 The hard part is finding someone's baggage to unpacking. Most of the time, once you unpack it, when things go rough, uh, you know, you pack, they sitting, and you try,
Starting point is 00:07:56 you try on, you keep moving on and thinking something else is better. Yep. That's always been my thing, Ocho. You always thought someone, Because that's what made us who we are. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:07 Even though when I made the pro, I thought I could be better. Even when I made all pro, I thought I could be better. Come on, that. Even when I had a thousand yard season, I thought I could be better. A double-digit touchdown season, I could be better. It was always when you're satisfied as a person you threw as an individual. So I was always trying to see to get better, to get better, to get better. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:08:27 Nah. You're done. You're waving a white flag, huh? I could be, yeah. Yeah. I can still search. greatness and be content. I like that.
Starting point is 00:08:40 So you got to search for that greatness in other areas, other aspects of your life. Yeah, for sure. Hey, that's a good thing. I'm glad you got that piece of the puzzle filled in, man. I like that. Yeah, yeah. Hey, I like that. And, you know, she don't know what the old shay was like.
Starting point is 00:08:57 Okay, okay. You know what I'm saying? Okay. You don't know. The old shay used to go double over time. Now she didn't get the first quarter. She didn't get the first quarter on your. Hey
Starting point is 00:09:08 I get her hide up I put up me a quick tin Yeah You're done She ain't know I used to have
Starting point is 00:09:17 I get a 40 point Triple Dub Ooh Yeah Hey I got one more Question on What's that
Starting point is 00:09:24 One more question Now this is This is for me This is my therapy session Because I like When we get on topics Like this Right
Starting point is 00:09:31 Yes Is there ever a timetable to decide when you know that's the one. Yeah, I think it is, no Joe. Six months, a year, two years. I don't know if there's a time. I mean, I think you have a feeling, and you're like, okay, when things go,
Starting point is 00:09:52 you've got to go bad. Because when it's going good, when everything is good, and you're flying everywhere, and you buying everything, and by the time you buy this purse and that purse, yes, sir. You give this and you give that.
Starting point is 00:10:03 Yes, sir. Okay, when it goes bad. Mm. Come on, man. It's bad. And I ain't, hey, I ain't been to beat you down now. But we're going to have a conversation. Just so you know, we're going to have a conversation.
Starting point is 00:10:22 We're going to talk. Yeah. Okay. Hey, I didn't, hey, I get frustrated right. I'm at that point now when things are great. Oh, when it's great, it's great. Yes. And I avoid those conversations.
Starting point is 00:10:36 I avoid those tough conversations because I, what's the word I'm looking for? I love my peace. I'm not one that I'm not one that really likes chaos now at my big age. So therefore, when I see chaos, I kind of go into a shell. Right. And it's so funny when I'm happy,
Starting point is 00:10:57 I'm a talker. Actually, I talk too goddamn much. And when I shouldn't be talking, I shut down instead of having those tough conversations that I should have. Yeah, I don't like having tough conversations. I don't like to have a tough conversations either, Ocho. I don't.
Starting point is 00:11:11 I got to. I got to work on that, man. Yeah, I do. Everybody got to, because I don't, I don't want to hurt anybody's feeling, and it's just easy. I don't want to talk about it. You're right. It ain't easy, though, Ocho.
Starting point is 00:11:27 Yeah. Damn show, not easy. Yeah, but who you tell you, what? What are you telling, what? It's a lot of work. It's a lot of work, huh? And sometimes I think to myself, sometimes I think to myself, if things are supposed to be this way, why does so much work?
Starting point is 00:11:41 Why does so much work? Is it natural? It is supposed to be this way. I mean, I mean, there's so many unanswered questions, you know, and I don't know. Sometimes, Ocho, you can work like, and the reason why I equate a lot to sports is because I was good at it and I worked at it. And I was like, you know what? If I work at this, I can change this and I can be good at it. you can work for years
Starting point is 00:12:12 and your relationship might not even get any better because the question is you working as hard as you are. That's a good one. Are you working for the same goal? Because sometimes we get into an argument, Ocho, me and you argue. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:30 So no, no, no, no. It ain't me and you. It's me and you versus the problem. There's a difference. We argue amongst each other. We go back and forth. But the problem still, there. How about you and I double team this problem?
Starting point is 00:12:46 Right. What caused this? Mm. And most of the time, the problem is me. Yes. A lot of times, a lot of times the problem is us. A lot of times is the situation where I'm gonna get, just tell me, if you want something, if you want to do something, I don't like to have to figure it out. Figure it out, you know. Right, right, right, right.
Starting point is 00:13:14 What you want to do. Right. Just tell me. because uncommunicated expectations will ruin a relationship. Because you have an expectation and you don't communicate what those expectations are. You assume I'm supposed to know. I have expectations. I assume you're supposed to know because you're at an age.
Starting point is 00:13:34 You've dated before. You've been in relationships before. You've been in long-term relationships before. Why do I need to walk you step by step? You wasn't a long-term relationship. You just wasn't in it with me. So I need to tell you what I expect from you. You need to tell me what you expect from me.
Starting point is 00:13:51 So if we communicate these expectations, we're on the path to going somewhere. But when you don't have, when you have uncommunicated, when you don't tell me what you expect, I don't tell you what to expect. And then I'm swore because you didn't do what I expected you to do. What you didn't tell me. And that's one of the worst things with marriages, with relationships, with friendships, is that one word. That one word, because we expect certain things.
Starting point is 00:14:20 Yes. Once a title, once a title comes to anything, with a title comes expectations. Most of the time when it comes to humans, we always fall short. Yes. Human error is inevitable, no matter what aspect of life you're in with those expectations. Then it becomes you trying to become somewhat of a character to meet the role that they won't. Yeah. And that's hard because you're not even being yourself.
Starting point is 00:14:43 Nope. You have to change who you are to meet someone else's expectations. How do you change? Because here's that you got to be careful. Because changing who you are, you lose who you are. But that's what expectations are. No, no, no, I can't be your true set. There's impossible to be your true self if you're supposed to meet someone else's
Starting point is 00:15:03 expectations. That's not even originally you. You have to be the version of the way they view you. You have to be. There's perception and there's, reality. A person's perception of you is their reality. A person's perception of you, that's their reality. But that's not always the truth. So now how she perceives you, that is her reality. That can be the farthest thing from who you actually are. And which is, which is normally the
Starting point is 00:15:36 case, 98% of the time. Women fall in love with the idea that they have in their head of you, not who you truly are. Of who they think a man should be, what he should do. You should open the door. You should buy candles. You should buy cards. You should be thoughtful. You should write poetry.
Starting point is 00:15:54 That is the perception of what they think. That ain't who I... When did I ever give you that impression? That was who I was. This ain't no harlequin novel. This ain't no hallmark movie. This ain't the notebook. Hell no.
Starting point is 00:16:10 But I like it, though. Tablet. Damn, the notebook. This ain't in to be tablet. But you know what I do like? I love becoming a better version of myself for the individual that you see in whatever way they do. Yes.
Starting point is 00:16:23 How do I become that version of me? Or the version of in which you view me as. How do I become the best version for you without losing me? Me. Because most of the time, one of the hardest things to do, the two hardest things to do, chat. you've heard me say it before, two of the hardest things to do is to hit a baseball. Yeah. And to keep a woman happy long term.
Starting point is 00:16:51 Because in turn and trying to keep a woman happy long term, you have to lose a sense of self. You do. You have to lose a self. How many times the man says, well, you know, this is what she wanted. She don't want me to go out with my Ocho. Ocho, I got a cut back. She don't want me to drink. I got a cut back.
Starting point is 00:17:07 She don't want to be over the time of my in-laws. Yes, sir. What do women say? I would like this when you met me. You ain't have a problem with it. You see, men are willing to change. For the woman that a man loves, he will change. That Joe will cut off his family.
Starting point is 00:17:25 He'll cut off his friends. Yes. He'll do whatever to make her happy. It goes back to biblical. Yeah. Samson told Delilah where his strength lied for a reason. Adam, you know, Adam did what he did for a reason. David did what he did to be she was hooked for a reason.
Starting point is 00:17:51 Just say it. Hey, that was a good therapy session. I like that. You know, we, you know, we do. That was a good therapy session. You've heard the chaos. Now you can see it. Hello.

Starting point is 00:18:36 When you tune in to a new episode of our podcast levels to this, you're definitely going to get some spy CWNBA analysis. I see a lot of men who get into the space because now it's a hot product. And that grinds my gears. to dust. But then, the conversation goes on and levels up beyond basketball. It's been really, really cool seeing kind of these women just really step into their power off the court and understand that they aren't basketball, right? And they're not asking for permission? Because on levels to this, the game is always the starting point, but we're more
Starting point is 00:19:15 than just hoops. And the real conversation is what we actually bring. This is levels to this. The podcast about all the levels of stuff that women go through. Listen to levels to this with Cheryl Swoops and Tarika Foster Brasby on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. I'm Munga Shat Together and I'm back with a new season of the podcast Skyline Drive. This time I'm diving into a rabbit hole of peptides, organoids, blood boys, blue zones, and brain replacement to try to understand what this longevity obsession is all about. and what it really means to live forever, for all of us.
Starting point is 00:19:55 I learned about some rad science. I can make a brain for you, and then we can test what draw is the best for your brain, as opposed to his brain. Here are some hard truths. I would expect Indians to age faster, but I did not expect it to be almost a four-to-five-year acceleration. And get myself into a world of trouble.
Starting point is 00:20:20 I'd say probably start bone smashing. That doesn't work. To make it look more defined. They say it works. I don't know. Listen to Skyline Drive, How to Live Forever on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:20:33 The Declaration, which is full of these beautifully rendered, sentences and paragraphs about enlightenment ideals, does also have this darker history to it. Why is it important for the darker part of the Declaration of Independence, in the American Revolution, why is it important that Americans know about it? Well, if we don't understand the full context in which our nation was founded,
Starting point is 00:21:04 we won't understand the full context in which our nation now finds itself. I'm Rebecca Nagel. Gohine, Tao a don't, to like a yet, Lee, Gailen, citizen of Cherokee Nation. Are you guys big chiefs fans? Hell yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:19 This is First America, the true story of how the United States came to be and how we got to this present moment. Listen to First America on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. This is Michael Rappaport, and my podcast, the I Am Rapaport Stereo Podcast, is unlike anyone you've ever heard. We're a variety show.
Starting point is 00:21:44 And if you're looking for strong opinions, funny opinions about sports, entertainment, politics, pop culture, and whatever else catches my attention, then subscribe now. This kid, Jafar Jackson, is as good as Rami Malik as Freddie Mercury, and it's as good as Timothy Chamalais as Bob Dylan. And I say that with love and respect for both of those actors. And I don't know how many Oscar nominations they give out, I don't know if it's five, six for best actor. 150% this kid, Jafar Jackson, should absolutely positively get nominated for his portrayal as Michael Jackson. Listen to I Am Rap Report on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Starting point is 00:22:30 I am Rapaport Podcast. Yeah, you know. Ocho, this one going to get you going to get you going to go. I don't know how you're going to feel about this one. A guy's going viral on Reddit for his fiancé wanting a hall pass before their wedding a few weeks away to start the marriage off better. We've been together four years now, and it seemed like everything was great and mutual. yesterday at dinner, my wife, my soon-to-be wife, brought up the ideal of both of us,
Starting point is 00:23:03 having a free sleep with whomever passed before the wedding. This stupid idea of her, it's completely blindsided me. I can tell she's been thinking about it for some time, just wanted for the perfect moment to bring it up. She said it would be pretty healthy for our relationship. Yeah. He said it would be pretty healthy for our relationship and our marriage would get up to a better start because of it.
Starting point is 00:23:23 She also claimed that it would help get everything out of my system. We've, in four years, we've been together. I've never thought about being with someone else. Maybe you should stop thinking about it right now. But it sucks to know she doesn't feel the same way. Once you realize I wasn't excited about the idea, she began to retract her statement. I really didn't talk to her, talked about it, and just went to bed since this morning. She's been apologizing over text. A hall, man, you're going to be in the hall. You know what I'm saying? You remember in school? You get in trouble. You go sit in the hall? Yeah. Listen, honestly, this is how a lot of women think, but they refuse to come forth with how they feel and some of the things that they like to do, some of the fantasies that they may have.
Starting point is 00:24:09 Listen, you have to understand when you're with somebody is very difficult. There's always going to be somebody that looks better, somebody that's a little more prettier, somebody with more money. I mean, whatever the case may be. You know, so I think it's very difficult for her to even mention the fact of having a haul pass before you get married. That just lets you know where her mind is. I mean, it just does. It just does. And the fact that she's retracting the statement knowing that, don't retract it. That's just how you feel.
Starting point is 00:24:41 Those are uncomfortable conversations that need to be had. And it needs to be had before you actually get married because at some point while you are married, you already know what happened when you are married and you're thinking like that anyway. You know, temptation. She might have that one guy that she'd been promising because, you know, hey,
Starting point is 00:25:03 you know if you get married, I want one more time before you get married. Okay. Okay. Hey, Unk, it's always... I ain't going to say that it's happened, but I'm going to say I know somebody that knows somebody that happened.
Starting point is 00:25:17 Right. There's always one. They never marry who they want to. They marry who they can. Damn. They never marry who they want to. They marry who they can. I'm going to just, I'm going to leave that on the table.
Starting point is 00:25:36 Nobody no. Oh, the trouble. I've been through. Bro. I don't even know. Man, I might have hit that thing like a red. on dead presidents, I might have just had to slump down in my chair.
Starting point is 00:25:58 Yeah. Yeah. Listen, at times, it's just something that more people need to do. You know, you need to have those uncomfortable conversations like that with your people,
Starting point is 00:26:09 with your partner, man. And why are you mad? That woman would say she wanted the hall pass. Yeah. It's like that. It's like that sometime. Yeah. And matter of fact,
Starting point is 00:26:20 and for those, that haven't had those uncomfortable conversations, you want to know how your woman really feel? Go ahead and go through that phone one time. That would wake your ass up. Go through her phone? You think that y'all think that shit's sweet, huh? Nah, I ain't going through nobody's phone, Ocho.
Starting point is 00:26:39 I hear you, I hear you, you ain't got to go through it. Oh, Joe. Listen, I don't want you losing no weight. I'm just telling you to lose the weight, hey, because I already, oh, Ocho. Listen. When you go to Ocho, in Easter, they hide the eggs. When you go look at what you expect to find?
Starting point is 00:26:56 Listen, when I walk through the mud, I want to come out dirty. Well, you're going to come out dirty. Listen, when I walk through mud, I want to come out dirty. That's it. All right. Yeah, but, she, be right. Listen, you're right here. Boy, I'm telling you.
Starting point is 00:27:16 Sometimes you're wasting your time. You think you got something, you think of you got something sweet. It ain't what you think it is. It ain't nothing but a lemon. ain't nothing but a lemon man go to that phone I'm not listening to Ocho
Starting point is 00:27:29 Ocho, y'all I'm gonna find me I'm gonna find it who you gonna find I don't know oh you're right there you go what you mean
Starting point is 00:27:41 what you're gonna find there you go there you I'm asking you said you're gonna find it I mean you told you you're like the phone no
Starting point is 00:27:47 oh okay okay my bad oh no I might I might surprise you make a guest appearance with Sometimes you got to pop out and show them.
Starting point is 00:27:58 Okay, okay, okay. I'm with you when you're right. Yeah. I'm with you when you're right. Man, but I'm going to, you know, I want my homeboy being Ocho, I meet my homeboy. You know, we're on the red carpet. We both got something. Who am I have?
Starting point is 00:28:23 Ocho. You know, hey, you've been together five years, fix it. Work it out. Work it out. Thanksgiving. You go right. I bet you go get a plate. You do, you do see,
Starting point is 00:28:38 you do see I'm at the house and ain't nobody here, right? She ain't up. She upstairs. You are the basement. Nah, I'm upstairs. Ain't nobody here. You would hear kids and everything.
Starting point is 00:28:48 Everybody, everybody in Tampa. You notice how very strategically when I'm here at the house, it ain't nobody here. See how to see how that work? Yeah. Man, we ain't talking about that. I know.
Starting point is 00:29:05 I should, hey, I should, I should get on the road and pop up out there. Nah, Ocho, because you wouldn't like nobody to pop up on you. Don't do that. Hold on. You the one told me to do that. I know. Hell, no. I ain't never told you to pop up.
Starting point is 00:29:19 Hell now. You just did. You said go get a plate. It's Thanksgiving. But you said y'all had already worked that out. Oh, no, I'm just playing. She sent me an invite, though. We're going to get it.
Starting point is 00:29:33 You heard me? Well, shit, I got to get on the road. That's all right. Catch a flight early in the morning. That's a three-hour drive. Catch a flight. It's a 30-minute flight. I'm going to catch a flight from Miami to Tampa.
Starting point is 00:29:44 Come on now. Easy. By the time I get to the airport and land, that would have been the three-hour drive right now. Nope. Man, go on. Look here, man. Look, you don't put that kind of time in the man.
Starting point is 00:29:58 Don't just walk away like that, bro. Oh, no, no, no, no. I'm going to get me a plate now. A plate, Ocho. That's it. A plate. A food. Food. Turkey, drescent, mac and trees, ham.
Starting point is 00:30:13 Mac and cheese. Yeah. Cheese, mac and cheese. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Uh, ham, sweet potato pie. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't know what else, but that's it. Yeah, that's all I won't. I don't need nothing else. Okay.
Starting point is 00:30:30 Yeah. You know, you got to be a gentleman. You got to read, you got to read like, hey, this is the new and improved, Ocho. Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. Hold on, hold on. I'm just going to eat, huh? That's it. That's what I want you to do.
Starting point is 00:30:44 That's, no, I want you to eat the food that's on your plate. I know you're eating, too. No, I know. You're not. Yeah. Hey, oh, man, I'm, yeah, I'm good. I'm, I listen, I ain't doing none to 20-25, man. Just, you know, I'm taking the backseat.
Starting point is 00:31:04 I'm resetting. Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. That's my dog. Yeah, I'm in a good space right now, you know? Yeah. I'm in a good space. Good old college green. I got a singular focus.
Starting point is 00:31:17 Now what I'm talking about. I got, I got 37011 jobs right now. I ain't got no time for no distraction, you know? Okay, I'm in a good space. I'm here. I like that. You know the horses at the Kentucky Derby, how they put the blinders on it? You can't see nothing.
Starting point is 00:31:33 You can't see nothing. They're focused, yeah. See straight ahead. That's where I'm at with it. Okay. God damn it shit I like that that's the focus

Starting point is 00:32:02 explaining her date with a 45 year old who left $100 on the table and walked out she told him she wanted to go to a state house. He took her to Eddie B's. Eddie B's in Nashville.
Starting point is 00:32:14 There are several of the Aty Bs, but I don't want in Nashville. That's neither here or no there. She ordered lamb chops, oysters, and crab fried rice after he only ordered the drink. Total cost of her meal, $159. You
Starting point is 00:32:29 could hear her tell him, this is usually how I ordered. She paid the rest of the bill after he left $100 and walked out. I already told Ocho, thank you. I already know. I ain't mad at it. I ain't mad at it.
Starting point is 00:32:46 Wait, it was the first time they're going out? I guess. Yeah, I ain't matter, but, yeah. It was the first date.
Starting point is 00:32:54 Yeah, I ain't mad at him. And the last date. For sure, the last. Man, listen. Out the real?
Starting point is 00:33:04 I would you're going to say. I was just going to say that. And most of the time, it's fellas out, it's dudes that. here probably that she's been with before and it's taken out, you know, it's all about showing out. It's all about showing out on the first date because, you know, first impressions of everything. You got to really, and how do you reel a woman in? By doing all the craziness in the beginning.
Starting point is 00:33:23 The more, the crazy you are in the beginning with spoiling and spending a lot of money, the easy it is to get to your end goal. And that's all to come down to. It's all the goddamn game, man. But, Ojo, if you start. And that game is wrong women to pulling off shit like this. that's true if I but switch here the thing check oh chole let me ask y'all this if if I take somebody on the first or second date and I get a private plane what I got to do next get to space shuttle what the hell I go from there if I'm getting you lobster if I'm getting you hold on if I'm getting you lamb chops and oysters now granted we in different tax brackets okay but I'm saying the average guy ain't got bread like that okay we you know we get your seafood Tower that cost four five hundred dollars. Okay, we get X, Y, Z. That's one thing. But I'm saying, the at the Seafood Tower, they got, they got like four or five lobster tails, they got crab plows, they got scallops, they got oysters, they got shrimp, whatever
Starting point is 00:34:22 the case may be. That sounds like a group even. What was the price? What was the price you said it cost? Probably by $350, $400. Man, y'all don't bump y'all goddamn head, man. But that's what I'm saying. But, also, but that's what I'm saying on the first date.
Starting point is 00:34:39 If you do that on the first date, where do you go from there? No, I can't, no. You can't go. You ain't nowhere to go. You got to go to the moon. You know what I'm saying. Baby, how about we start with something? How about we start with something, you know?
Starting point is 00:34:56 I ain't no sushi. So ain't no sense of me going there because I ain't going to eat it. But can we go to like some, like America cuisine? Okay. You know, they got burgers or they got some fish. They got some salmon. You know, they got, you know, they got a group or they got some type of fish. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:35:14 Dover's sold. I know. Can we start rills or can we start there? Start going to the steak and you know the steak is market price. You start seeing something with market price? Yeah. Nah. You know what it is.
Starting point is 00:35:32 Now you got to take. You got to take it real old school nowadays. You got to see what they really end for, and you got to take them on a couple of picnics. Pack up some smuckers, peanut butter, jelly sandwiches and something. Pack of them. Crustibles. Yeah, I ain't making them say the crustables.
Starting point is 00:35:47 They already got the crust off. Yeah, the crust is gone. Yeah. Give me a couple of those. You know what I'm saying? A couple of iced teas, little Arnold Palmer's in the joint. Like I said, he really liked me. A couple bags of skittles or something.
Starting point is 00:35:59 You see where we at first. Yeah. Hey, I'm a simple guy. Even swap ain't no swindle. Yeah. Okay, what we do? You use me for the ride. I use you for the hide.
Starting point is 00:36:08 You want to pay. I use you for a date. I mean, hey, even swap ain't can't be no swindle. Come on now. Can't be. Because, hey, hey, look, come on. Come on. We said out of back.
Starting point is 00:36:18 We chill in conversation. If you're trying to be a sponsor, if you try to be, are you trying to be a partner or you're trying to get sponsor. Ooh. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. It's wish.
Starting point is 00:36:32 I just need. Hey, I can be either one. I just need to know. I feel you. I got to know. Don't leave it up to me because I'm going to think the other way immediately. That's just the way it is. That's it.
Starting point is 00:36:47 I ain't got no problem with you. That's what you're trying to do. Yeah. But I'm going to try to do what I'm trying to do too. They don't get mad. Yeah. I'm going to put that with them a nose on my phone. I'm trying to be a sponsor.
Starting point is 00:37:03 Hold on. You're trying to, what it was, you're trying to be a sponsor? Are you trying to be a partner or you're trying to be sponsored? Hmm. That's from real, though. That's for real.
Starting point is 00:37:15 It's a lot of ones looking for sponsors. Yeah. Look, I understand. Look, like I said, I'm a little older now, Ocho. So you know what I'm saying? But see, here's the thing. The kid told me, she said, the reason why older men like younger women,
Starting point is 00:37:32 she said a guy told her as we get older ain't nothing wrong with our eyes what we like when we was in that age group we still like now I don't got no problem I don't got no problem whatever whatever we decide to do let's do that
Starting point is 00:37:56 if you say Shannon this is what it is let me decide I'm gonna tell you what it is Yeah. It's an equal exchange. That's where I think we're getting a misconstrued. Like one outweighs the other. This is a very equal exchange.
Starting point is 00:38:18 Even swap can't ever be a swindle. Ocho, look, if you got grain and I got cowl that can produce, okay, Ocho, I need some grain. Okay, I need milk. Okay, even swap. But now all of a sudden, you come. I'm down there with some bulljad. Oh, no, hell now.
Starting point is 00:38:38 You're trying to get over. You ain't got no grain, but you want all this milk? Hold on, baby. Oh, no, baby. And listen, that's that, that, that's, that, and then you read all I'm saying? Hey. Honestly, nine eight percent of time.
Starting point is 00:38:52 I ain't about no headaches. I'm going to, hey, I'm going to do right by you. Hey, you don't understand. Ninety percent of the time, you got all the milk. Ain't anybody got no grain. You just only one providing the motherfucking milk. So I'm the one bringing something to the party. 90% of the time, yes.
Starting point is 00:39:12 Yes. How about this, Ocho? Bring something to the picnic besides your appetite. Please. Can you bring plastic for us? Can you bring napkins? Can you bring something other than your appetite? I'm not saying you got to have, you know,
Starting point is 00:39:31 you got to have the most elaborate spread, but just bring something. Hey, you go to somebody house, Ocho, you can't just show up, hey, how y'all doing? And you ain't got nothing? You got to show up for something. They ain't brought a bag of ice. You can bring plates, cups, cups, plates. Hey, bring them cheap-ass checks.
Starting point is 00:39:49 So does the Ocho be like it. Bring something. Yeah, bring my quarter orders. Yeah. Bring something. We don't got to the point now we show up the people high, like, it's just because it's a high presence. Hey, how y'all doing?
Starting point is 00:40:03 What's your got? No, we ain't doing nothing. Nothing. We ain't doing nothing. You know what we're doing? Store and run. Hey, we need some ice. I holl at you a minute, dog.
Starting point is 00:40:17 And so a lot of time, they would be showing up with hoo-ha and think that's enough. Well, hold on. You know, sometimes that is all this enough. What are they advertising everywhere? What are they advertising everywhere? That's all they got to do. Hold on.
Starting point is 00:40:33 When everybody, everybody turned backwards, everybody turned to the side, using the sink to make it, you know, let us sit. That's good. That's a bit. Hey, hold on. That's all. That's all. That's all there is. Hey, hold on.
Starting point is 00:40:46 Well, I see, I ask. How do you catch our attention, huh? How do you catch our attention? The most valuable thing you have to offer is what you advertise. Just like, just like a man. If a man got money, what's the first thing you advertise? He got what? That mullah.
Starting point is 00:41:06 Yeah. You know, what you said? Even exchange ain't no way. How you said? Even swap ain't no swindle. But you already know what it is? The game. Catching the man.
Starting point is 00:41:16 Catching the mall and ain't the problem. Yeah. That's getting that sucker to the boat. Yeah. To the man, there ain't no issue. Can you land him? Oh, yeah, you can land him. But he's going to be going to throw you back out to the sea.
Starting point is 00:41:28 Hey, I'm just going to keep jumping until I get back to the water. I ain't going to stop jumping. Stop, look. Oh, Joe, look, like I said, I'm in a situation now. I mean, when I ain't have a whole lot of money, knock on wood, I only had one situation with somebody, I thought somebody was trying to take advantage me when it came to eating. But now I got some bread.
Starting point is 00:41:50 Okay, you know, hey, we go to a nice restaurant. I mean, but you ain't about to get no Kobe. You ain't about to find nothing that costs $100 an hour, $100 an ounce. Oh, hell now. Yeah. I ain't going to lie. I walked out on the drum one time like that. I was in New York at a steakhouse.
Starting point is 00:42:09 She was just ordering it up, ordering it up. I went straight to the bar. I told the dude, I said, look, man, there's $200 for these two drinks, and I'm just going to hit him slide. He said, okay, hit me about an hour later. Where you at? What's going on?
Starting point is 00:42:23 I ain't never went back. I'm not doing all of you, ordering all this wine. You don't even drink wine. All of a sudden, you are a son. I can't get your eyes out of here. They do that, man. They know you got brand bad, look. I'm out.
Starting point is 00:42:36 I'll holl at you. You ain't even acting the same. When I met you, you was a chick from the run away from the Bronx. Now all of a sudden, you're Jenny from the block. I ain't, nah, bro. I ain't got time for that. I ain't got time for that. See?
Starting point is 00:42:50 See what you don't start at, Ocho? Oh, I started who? Who? Who? I don't even put myself in them situations like that. I don't play that shit? No, sir. Two of a $200 should be a nice little.
Starting point is 00:43:03 meal. $200 who? American dollars? Yes. $200 a nice little meal in the JR. Man, for sure. That was matured and everything on show. I'm good.
Starting point is 00:43:14 Okay, steak cough 50. I got a steak cough 50. She gets two drinks. I'm drinking ginger ale. More times than I, she'd probably be, you know, she ain't going to want no dessert. I'm cool. 200 for the thing.
Starting point is 00:43:28 Get a, uh, uh, uh, leave a tip. okay 250 leave they get a guy $30 to bring my car around I'm out okay I'm out $2.80, $300 yeah listen you have to you have to stand and then if you're a Nancy K okay I might go if I think she'll Nancy K I go to I go to 400 mm-hmm so what's you saying Ocho what's the what's the what's your cat bracket what's the budget but you know I don't I don't eat at those places that you got to talk about about. My places, I mean, I can be honest, we family and those of you that, you know, in the chat, especially if you follow me, you know, my stuff is always the same. You know,
Starting point is 00:44:09 my Bahama breeze. I love my longhorn. I like brimstone. I have a Cuban spot that I frequent all the time. So the places I like the frequent and go to dinner aren't like that. Aren't like that. Now, if you spend 150, it's the worst. They bring in on sparklers and everything. Now, you have the thing about date night. Date night when when I, well, I'm single now, when I wasn't single and date night, now then that's when I was introduced to, you know, different types of foods that I didn't eat before. And then
Starting point is 00:44:39 now we talk about a dinner might be $150, maybe $200. Outside of that, it was nothing, it's something that I don't do in the norm, so I'm not used to it. Yeah. I think if you get out of there, honestly, I think if you get out of there with, you know, she'll get two drinks, at least I'm hoping.
Starting point is 00:44:58 Two drink, stay. Shit, that's $400 for sure. show. That's four way to do. Your number's a little too good. Hey, they didn't drink me that $30. Yeah, for a meal.
Starting point is 00:45:12 Straight up. Cocktails like $30. I leave right there. She don't pause that off. Before we even got the meal, now if you get an appetizer, you get one, she get one. Boom.
Starting point is 00:45:28 That's another appetizer going to be at least somewhere between $20 and $30. So you get to that. that's 60 plus her drink 90 plus my ginger ale which is 10 that's $100 right there and we didn't even got to the entree
Starting point is 00:45:41 no and I ain't going to lot man I don't know if it's the times or the numbers is going up but it just seemed like they drink faster than they used to those two drinks go a little faster than they used to but they come back before you know it's like oh can I have one more
Starting point is 00:45:56 I just have one more you said that three drinks ago like damn man, bro. Hey, and low you that drive, hey,
Starting point is 00:46:07 you Uberin, hey, we good. Nah, nah, I say, I can't do a sloppy situation.
Starting point is 00:46:12 That's the quickest way to get me off your, off your line. You come over to go, hey, ah, I ain't got a time for that.
Starting point is 00:46:20 No, no, you got to be a lack, like ladies now, you're going to keep the classy.
Starting point is 00:46:24 Yeah, oh, no, oh, no. I keep it classy now. Mm-mm. I'll put you on a minimum.
Starting point is 00:46:30 We'll put you on on two, three, drink minimum. I think most women can handle two. I think that's, now, they got something that, hey, two, man, I can drink seven of these things. I'm like, yeah, okay, now I'm playing in my escape.
Starting point is 00:46:46 I'm playing over. Yeah. Seven? You're in the MMA match. Yeah. Whoa, whoa. Girl, you more woman than I ever be man. Draking seven of these things?
Starting point is 00:47:02 Oh, hell. No, hell nah. Mm-mm. Mm-mm. No, hell no. Like I say, I'm like you, J.R. Two. You get two drinks.
Starting point is 00:47:15 We got to get you at the minimum. And I got to make sure I got to see what you drink it too. Because they go order that $200 tequila and thinking they're doing that Casa Azou and all that. Oh, yeah. Hold up, baby. Hold up. You was repisado from Casamigos. Don't act like that now.
Starting point is 00:47:35 Now all of a sudden you cross-like Azoo. No, no, no, no, no, no. No, no, no, no. It just ain't that. So, hey, hey, get a lemon drop, cosmopolitan. Hey, hey, get, hey, one or two lemon drop or a Cosmo.
Starting point is 00:47:50 What else do they be drinking? The, uh, I mean, sometimes women don't got the way they drink in, uh, uh, what, vodka water? All more of the sours and shit. Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay, okay, okay, I feel it. I feel it. Yeah.

Starting point is 00:50:19 as opposed to his brain. Here are some hard truths. I would expect Indians to age faster, but I did not expect it to be almost a four-to-five-year acceleration. and get myself into a world of trouble. I'd say probably start bone smashing. The Declaration, which is full of these beautifully rendered, sentences and paragraphs about enlightenment ideals, does also have this darker history to it.
Starting point is 00:51:02 Why is it important for that? darker part of the Declaration of Independence and the American Revolution. Why is it important that Americans know about it? Well, if we don't understand the full context in which our nation was founded, we won't understand the full context in which our nation now finds itself. I'm Rebecca Nagel. Starting point is 00:53:03 get your nice, good bottle of red. You're going to get four glasses. I get two glasses. you get two glasses, where everybody's satisfied. And it's gonna last us throughout the whole dinner. Right. But you're sitting here doing drinks and this and that, then you, before you know, they get that vodka or something up in,
Starting point is 00:53:17 they, like, not only, I'm trying to get you to chill, mellow out. Yeah. Go ahead and go to the crib, have a nice little night, all that. I ain't got, no, no, I ain't doing that no, no. I ain't good like I used to. See? See, I would go, you got to chill. Yeah?
Starting point is 00:53:36 You get, you know, when you get your situation, to rectify, boom. You turn your head in full. I don't like the way you're looking like. You see, yeah, it's fixed your body language, man. Hey, that's my coach. You're looking at me like, Uncle, I don't know, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:53:51 I don't know. Hey, listen, we family, right? Yeah. Yeah. The longer, the longer, how do you say it? The longer you apart, the harder is to get back. No, no, no. I mean, no, I mean, not even that.
Starting point is 00:54:09 it's just like, it's becoming like, ah, like, man, fuck it. Like the longer, you know, when there's something that's always, always constant, constant, constant, you have it all the time. And the longer, it's prolonged and it just becomes like, man.
Starting point is 00:54:29 Man. I'm just, I'm just saying. No, I feel you. I'm listening to you. I hear you, man. That's tough. That's a tough situation, man. May I work with that shit, don't
Starting point is 00:54:40 Joe. I was about to say, let me ask you this. Is it rectifiable? Everything is rectifiable. I can't say that. Me personally, I don't have that in me. You don't think everything should be. That's a good question.
Starting point is 00:54:58 Let me, let me ask you something. So, you, what isn't rectifiable in your eyes? For me. What can happen with, like, if she does this, this A, B, and C, A, B, or C, you know what? That's a rap. We can't do nothing anymore. It's over.
Starting point is 00:55:13 Well, for me, if I feel like I can't trust you, you defy my trust within, and it's layers to that. Like, it's like telling a lie. If there's a white lie, and then there's the lies you know that's just over-crossing the shit. You know what I'm saying? And for me, I feel like people will have a good, like, the person I picked, they got a good conscience to know what I'm standing for and what I'm not standing for.
Starting point is 00:55:37 So if you cross that line, And I felt like you knew what you was in. You know how I wrote. So you know, it would never be a situation to where you're going to come tell me what happened. Oh. If it ain't that. If you put yourself in a position to where you felt like you can't come tell me, you can't tell me, then we never was what I thought we was and we should stop right now.
Starting point is 00:56:01 Right. For me, me personally, because I trust too hard and I love too hard for you to be playing with me on a way that I feel about you, that you don't feel about me. Man, I can't take this anymore. Doc, you gotta help me. Man, this stupid meme is ruining my life. Now I know just what you need.
Starting point is 00:56:36 Ali Pop. Ridge Rush has got fiber, natural energy. It'll pick you right up. Oh, okay. Now that's a rush. Smile for the camera. Ocho! Here you go, Internet.
Starting point is 00:57:12 So have you ever since you've been in dating when you've dated before and you've been in love with these, you know, individuals. And a woman has made a mistake where you've lost her trust. Do you ever give her any grace? Or once you, once you cross that line, it's it. It's a rap. I have and I got burnt. Yeah, I got burnt crazy with my homie too. Like my man, who was in Vegas at the same time, All-Star popped up in the room. He in the room. I'm walking in there and go see my little joint. He in there with her. I'm like, oh.
Starting point is 00:57:43 Whoa. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And that hurt. After I already went through some little sh- I was like, okay, so you know what? That's what we own.
Starting point is 00:57:55 That's what we do with. Savage. I'm a savage now. That's what I got to, that's what you turned me into. And I hate to, I hate to use that as like somebody fuel, put that energy in my back. But yeah, that's what, when I seen that, and I was young, I was like, 20. I got driving. after I was 18, I was 20, like young boy into the league still.
Starting point is 00:58:17 It was like my second third year. I was like, oh, okay, this is how they really move. And I was like, I read, this is the game plan. You don't, you don't learn the game until you've been in it for a few years with great understanding on how they move. Yeah. And you got to ask her, like, when you go to a situation, you got to ask some of the best. Hey, what's up?
Starting point is 00:58:39 What's up with her? Ah, man, blah, blah, blah. What's up with her? Blah, blah, blah, blah. because the vets know. And for the most part, they ain't, you know,
Starting point is 00:58:47 sometimes, you know, you stumble up on one and they want to and they're going to try to salt you up. But... It's a lot of hating-ass vets. Oh,
Starting point is 00:58:57 man, I would say she was bad, too. I stumbled up on it. You know what I'm saying? Oh, I stumbled up on one. You know, every once in a while, every once in a while,
Starting point is 00:59:11 I only can't find a whole chicken in the trash. He ain't going to always find scraps. I stumbled up on one-ocho. I made the mistake. I was cool with dude because he played with my brother. So I thought I could, you know, yeah, man, I've been serious,
Starting point is 00:59:29 so I've been, you know. So he going to try to back dough me. Oh, not the front door. He went through the back-dote. Back-dote. Check this out. He told. the girl, he did what he told her.
Starting point is 00:59:47 Oh, you're going to F him and you ain't going to give me no hoo-ha. Oh, hell, nah. Yeah. Yeah. See, I have the oldest trick in the book, God. That's for years. That shit still happens, dog. What? Years.
Starting point is 01:00:03 That, each other, oh. Oh, here's the thing to top it up, Ocho. He probably won't even be on the team next year. I swear, that one right there. He's going to be out of the league. He's going to be broke. He's going to be this Saturday.
Starting point is 01:00:30 Damn, champ. Because here's the thing, the Ocho, the thing about, like, not all. There's no situation of all or everything. But a lot of times, even if you cool with a chick and y'all leave on somewhat good terms, if somebody come try to, on your team, come try to holler and say something foul about you, they're going to let you know. They're going to let you know. You tell you.
Starting point is 01:00:52 every time, too. Tell you. Even if you're in a whole other situation and cool with it and everything, everything good, they're going to let you know for sure. Oh, she told me I had a dude to college. He ain't going to try to, hey,
Starting point is 01:01:11 ain't you cool, ain't you cool with shop? And ain't like that. Really, dude. Hey, matter of fact, you know, hey, hey, Jay. And, um, you know, This is a great topic. This is barbershop.
Starting point is 01:01:30 This is basically how the locker room is anyway. You ever been with somebody? If you ever been with somebody in general, based on your experience and y'all were together? And what happened? Do you give them grace if they step out on y'all based on what you're talking about? Because, Jay, you said if trust is broken and you can't trust them all, do you give grace or you like you out of dough? What you think? You out of dough?
Starting point is 01:01:56 How do y'all operate? It all, man. It all, it's all, oh, for me. You got to think about it. When y'all was playing, Jay, when you was playing, the individuals that are trying to talk to the women you with are those that have money just like you. Just as much money as you got, yeah, for sure.
Starting point is 01:02:12 So the chances of them actually being loyal, it is, I don't want to see it. It's even, because depending on who's asking, your girl is single. for sure. No, for sure. Hold on. You know, let me, let me say this again. Depending on who's asking, even if she's with you,
Starting point is 01:02:31 your girl is single. For sure. Yeah, for sure. Okay. 1,000. 1,000%. I think, I think, I think the casual people in the chat
Starting point is 01:02:41 probably wouldn't understand. But if you're in that world, if you're in that world. Yeah. She's gone. You get what I mean. But the most part, 95% of the time, you're absolutely right.
Starting point is 01:02:51 Ocho, Big Bang take Little Bank. No, for sure. You see, that's why you see. That's why you see big corporations gobble up little corporations. Mm-hmm. Five-stop takeover. Man, I went to the All-Star game in Houston, right? And that was my second year.
Starting point is 01:03:04 It's my third, no, my third year was in Vegas. The second year was in Houston. So I go to Houston. I bring this, I have my first little, quote-unquote, video vixing, little chick, a little smooth magazine, covered little joint. I got one. I'm calling the homie's back, yeah, I got it, man. Yeah, I got it.
Starting point is 01:03:23 Take it to the game and everything. But I'll take it to the game. My seats wasn't like that. I'm still first year kind of guy. Yeah. So I'm like 15, 20 rows up. So we chopping it up, kicking it. Half time comes.
Starting point is 01:03:37 I'm about to be right back. Never come back. Half time come back. She's sitting on the court side with a big homie. I'm like, oh, at the game. Left you midgame? Midgame. Let me be a big game.
Starting point is 01:03:55 Set on the court right there with the big... Big big... Dead ass? Huh? Yeah. Dead ass? Dead ass. Like booty in the cemetery.
Starting point is 01:04:04 Straight up. Straight up. Levy right stairs standing. But I'll give you another story. So for me or my teammates, I had a teammate who's best, like, his man is right-hand man. They're all on the same team, basketball team. Real live pro team. He go, will we go out of town?
Starting point is 01:04:26 My man's homeboy taps my home, his man, wife when we're on the road. Yeah, it gets fun. Now, see, I got to have him. Yeah. Oh, you know what? You know what? No, no, no, no, you know what? It gets funky, dog.
Starting point is 01:04:40 But here, you know what it is, Gil? The thing is, is that I'm not married to him. I'm married to her. Mm. Now, that's my home boy. Now, see, to me, because I ain't got a home boy. a whole lot of homeboys. For my homeboy to do that,
Starting point is 01:04:58 and if I don't allow you in my home, I'm gonna lump you up, bro. I ain't only lie. Hold on. It's the disrespect. Hold on, but the disrespect is with the women in that scenario. I'm not, not the homeboy.
Starting point is 01:05:12 My homeboy, what's your homeboy name? The one that you grew up with in Liberty City? Shoddy. Doink. Thank you. Your situation, hey, you're out of town.
Starting point is 01:05:26 You trust them around your people. They go out there and they try to, they smash. Come on, man. I'm done with her, but I got something for him. No, no, no, no, no. I'm talking about a teammate, though. Like, we're on the same team. We're all three of us on the same team.
Starting point is 01:05:43 Yeah. We go on the road. Ocho, man, holler out, my lady. He in my house with my lady when we on the road. Oh, oh, see, that's, see, now, now, yeah, see, that's all traditional. Now, now you're talking about somebody. somebody sent me, hey. Yeah, we need smoke.
Starting point is 01:06:00 Hey. Now somebody letting dubs go on Sunday. You're going to kill him on? For sure. I, what you mean? People will kill, boy, that's crime of passion. What? Do you understand people get off of stuff like that?
Starting point is 01:06:17 What are you going to be careful? Man, what? What? What I told you about? What I told you about manage your expectations, boy? Ocho, you don't manage your expectations. with a wife. No, sir.
Starting point is 01:06:30 You committed. If you got to manage your expectations with a wife, why did y'all even get married? Why do y'all, why did y'all say those vows? It ain't no managing, no, if you want to manage expectations with a girlfriend, I get that. Okay, okay, you're right. A wife?
Starting point is 01:06:47 Right. I forgot the wife part. I forgot the wife part. I forgot the wife part. Man, stay, look, man, look here. Women that are married, look here, man. Y'all got to know who y'all dealing with. because everybody don't handle rejection the same way.
Starting point is 01:07:00 But it goes around the other side. So I understand for the women to snap when they may not have tripping. So it goes both ways. So I want the women to think like, oh, we're on one side. No, it goes regardless. You get caught in that situation.
Starting point is 01:07:13 I ain't coming up in, I'm not coming up in no man's house. No, dog. No, sir. Ocho, you go up in a man's house. You know a man lived there. You know that's his wife. Anything that happened. to you after that I'm okay with.
Starting point is 01:07:29 Dang. Straight up. No, hell, yeah, straight up. Anything. The same thing I feel about when you spit on somebody. See, you get to control your actions. You don't get to control the consequences
Starting point is 01:07:42 of your actions. Right. So you walk your ass up in that man's house. You know, like, women, talking about I ain't know he was married. That man got a photo bids with a car seat in the back. What the hell you think going on?
Starting point is 01:07:56 What posters around this motherfucker? You come on! We're posters and I pitchers posters. What not, what non-married dude riding around with a car seat? Hey, it's a dirty game, man. Man, stop playing. Oh, Joe, I don't play, that's one thing. I play, you know, we and you joke back and forth and I joke.
Starting point is 01:08:21 Yes, I don't, I don't joke about nobody's woman. Yeah. No, so. Because I don't have too many situations in my hometown. Right. Where people have hurt somebody. For real? About a woman.
Starting point is 01:08:32 Hell you. Hey, Unk, it's all about no disrespect to those situations. And this is fellas for you in the chat. All you have to do is pay attention to who you're dealing with and understand who you're dealing with early. And you'll never get mad. You'll never get mad. You'll be disappointed sometimes.
Starting point is 01:08:50 You'll be disappointed. You'll be disappointed because sometimes you grow to love an individual. Yes. Sometimes those red flags, they look green sometimes, depending on who it is, you know? sometimes. So you're going to get mad at yourself. When you understand exactly who you're dealing with,
Starting point is 01:09:08 you just, at some point, the tables are going to turn. I don't, I don't be playing like that. My granddad used to say, way back in the day, boy, boy, I want you to always remember. The same way you got them and the same way you're going to lose them.
Starting point is 01:09:25 It always plays out that way every time. Always. I don't want that kind of, I don't want that kind of lose. I don't want to lose them like that. I ain't try to lose myself like that because I'm going to be hip about. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Yeah, you got to be careful.
Starting point is 01:09:42 You do. But, boy, hey, what I love, boy, hey, would that pain? Oh, yeah. You don't, it don't play, huh? What? See, I ain't, I ain't experienced that kind of hurt. Like, yo, I can see your face.
Starting point is 01:10:00 I can see, I can see the passion. When you rose up off that goddamn chair? Oh, Joe, boy. Tell you. I don't ever want to feel that. Man, look. I'll never want to feel that. I know.
Starting point is 01:10:16 I didn't realize how bad it was until my brother and sister called say, you need me to come out there. Hmm. My sister never called. Right. My brother never called. My brother calls,
Starting point is 01:10:30 Hey, bro. You need me? No, I'm going to be all right. He asked me again. I hung the phone up with him. He called me back face. That's the only time my brother's ever called me FaceTime. Only time. I've never talked to my sister FaceTime. Only one time my brother called me FaceTime. He said, look at me and tell me you're going to be okay. I say what we always say. Mayor Porter race three to Hardway. I'm good. He hung the phone up. I gave him my word I was good. I gave my sister my word. I was good. I might lie. In my life, I lied to a lot of people. I ain't going to see it until you I have her. Yeah. I ain't never lied to them too mopholes. I told him I was good
Starting point is 01:11:24 I had to be good how you got over that it wasn't easy Ocho I ain't only lie it wasn't easy time um time yeah see and it took you a while to get over I got better at dealing with it
Starting point is 01:11:43 see the quickest way to get over one woman is to get under another one I'll ride the hard get on head on coach I got to put me another one but no in all that in all seriousness It took a while, Cho.
Starting point is 01:11:57 It was tough. Because when you be with someone for a length of time... Right. And you know it's funny? You talk about even when you be with somebody for a long time, and even if you do get up under another woman, that post nut clarity, when it sets in and that temporary satisfaction, it goes the way,
Starting point is 01:12:18 that pain seat right back in. Oh, yeah, for sure. And reality hits again. Because you know what happened, though, Cho? You find yourself questioning yourself. Yeah. Do I like this person or am I trying to get over that person? Trying to get over and it ain't working.
Starting point is 01:12:35 Yeah. I don't even think it's a, I think it's a real question. I think you know you're trying to get over on. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? It's almost like he's tricking yourself into things. Yeah. And it's not fair to the other individual.
Starting point is 01:12:47 Yeah, at all. At all. It's not fair. I fell into that situation a few times, for real. That's just not fair. And it's selfish as hell because we all get tried. up in our own shit. And by the end of the day,
Starting point is 01:13:02 you've got to be mad enough to own it and tell them and be like, yo, listen, this is, I got, I got caught up. This is not what you thought it was or how fast. I'm like, listen, I'm coming from the situation, X, Y, Z. And it's tough, bro. I ain't going to lie, man. Like, I left my mom, my wife's kids, my ex-wife and her, I got three kids, we got three kids together, man.
Starting point is 01:13:25 When I left home, like, that shit, was like, it was eating me, not only for the kids, but like, I felt like that was my homie. Like, that was my Roli. Right. And when you go through, you know, I mean, we've been together for a substantial amount of years, like, I'm talking about, but like,
Starting point is 01:13:39 when you're growing apart and you're going through different layers and different phases of your life. Yeah, like, and you get up onto somebody else and like, you gotta wash that whole stink up off you from a whole other person. Like, that shit, like, and it ain't stink like that, but it's like, you got like, people, I've always heard of my grandparents
Starting point is 01:13:58 used to say it all the time. Like, you better be careful who you lay down with. Like, them souls and spirits upon you. And that shit is real for me anyway. Because, like, when you're laying down with somebody, you're intimate with somebody, you're giving everybody that type of energy. It's time to move on.
Starting point is 01:14:15 You got to wash all that shit up off you because you can't carry no new shit upon you to a new situation. You being the worst situation to what you just left. Yeah. Um, Ocho. And still. So, King Isso.
Starting point is 01:14:32 Hello. Is there a woman from your past that you later realize you let get away? Perfect for you and everything that you dropped the ball on. Hey, listen, I may have let one or two get by. I may have not been ready, okay? I felt like I've had, you know, I've had a couple of decents in my day, Uncle Ocho. But, hey, it must not be mentioned. to be, okay?
Starting point is 01:15:05 Yeah. You can be mad at God. We say trust God and everything, but when women get away, we don't trust God now. I say, what's that? Fag. Fag. You know, sometimes you,
Starting point is 01:15:19 there's an old proverb that says you measure ten times and cut once, as the poet is cutting ten times because you measured once. Hello. Of course. Of course. Had I known what I, had I known then, what I know now,
Starting point is 01:15:44 that's the thing about hindsight. It's a magnificent science. It's perfect. Because you know today, what you didn't know yesterday. Mm-hmm. So yes. But it happens. I ain't.
Starting point is 01:16:05 And at the time, you don't think about it like you letting something good go. Because all you know is bad, hey, you're arguing or you, you, you're, you, you, you, you're, you, you, You know, you're sitting your way. She's sitting her. Everybody trying to prove a point. I ain't moving off my... Hey, I ain't moving off my square. Hey, hey, that boy, real cancel.
Starting point is 01:16:25 I ain't moving. I ain't moving. I know exactly what you mean. I mean, I mean, Ocho, you could only keep... At the end of the day, you can only keep one of them 12s. You don't have my 50 of them, but you can only keep one. Hey, hey, listen, I always say, listen, And everybody, I think you're supposed to experience everybody.
Starting point is 01:16:51 That's about it. Hey, hey. Keep keeping them a long time. I just, it is. Hey, unless you kneel and you can talk to them and make them all get along. Hey, hey, I ain't. I wouldn't even. That shit sounds like a headache, though.
Starting point is 01:17:06 It seemed like a headache, don't it. It's like a headache, don't it. Oh. It got to be. Got to be. You know, hey, when you think about it, though, Uncle Joe, does anybody every really get away?
Starting point is 01:17:19 Because whoever's for you is going to always be for you no matter what. Yeah, you write about that. Because if they no longer here, they're not here for a reason. And when I look at it, anything that would people would consider, oh, you lost, well, here, how come anybody else picked it up? Man, listen, for me, I'm going to keep it real with y'all.
Starting point is 01:17:39 There has not ever been a woman that has ever came before basketball or me trained. See? I don't give a damn How you cut it You can boo-hoo And cry in my face But I'm gonna go to the gym
Starting point is 01:17:52 I'm gonna go hit these weights I'm doing that all day long That's gonna come before anything That's how I eat bro Yeah I'll tell you like great news To tell us The more you cry
Starting point is 01:18:05 The less you pee So Hey Hey So all that boo-hoo Hey guess what You're gonna give yourself a headache But I'm going to get this training session in
Starting point is 01:18:16 Yes sir I'm doing that. Yeah. Yeah. And I hate, oh, he fumbled. He, ah, I punted. You know, I got the third down. I got the fourth down.
Starting point is 01:18:26 I realized I didn't have a good, a good enough play called, Ocho. So I put it. Yeah. I don't understand. You know, it's so funny. I hate when people say, oh, you fumble something. Like when you play a game of football, there's multiple balls that they use in the game. Multiple.
Starting point is 01:18:45 Yeah. Yeah. God damn, you catch the next one. Yeah. I didn't find, but I just pointed it on first down. As a matter of fact, I pointed on first down. I already realized I wasn't going to get no yards. Ojo, I already do, Joe.
Starting point is 01:18:59 I do I can't go get, I'm like, you know what? Yeah, ain't no sense of me. Boop. Yeah. Yeah. And I'm sure people look back and they're like, man, I had an opportunity. I dated Joe. I dated Ocho, I dated, Black Ben.
Starting point is 01:19:13 Hey, you weren't ready. We weren't ready. I've had a conversation. many years ago with a couple of my ex-law, hey, we were just both too young, Shannon. We were just both too young. You're right. I ain't. 150 years ago, they were hunting us down to kill us, and now they're hunting down immigrants to deport them.
