We don't, we know, came up here, and we obviously picked the worst two days come up here because we didn't get all that great scenery. Yes. I'm going to tell you this. Just from being up here the last, you know, a couple days, it's a little bit of changes going on. How are you dealing with the changes? Trying to adapt as well as possible. I think in leadership roles like we are, you have to kind of embrace the change and be that guy that just says, well, we used to do things this way. This is done because we used to do this way. So I think that's been a big emphasis for us is to, you know, what we were doing before was great, but we have a new guy, new staff, new everything.

So we're just trying to embrace as much as possible and be leaders. I feel that. How you feel about that? I mean, just same thing. Just like TJ said, you know, we've got to embrace this change. As leaders, we've got to be the ones to drive the culture. You know, it's a new culture. And so we just got to continue to get guys, young guys to buy in,

get all the vets to buy in as well, new guys coming in. So I like the way things are going. I think we're building every single day. Yeah, you get the vets to buy in, and, you know, they do it. And then, you know, the guys further on down line, they follow through. I'm like a lot. A lot of the changes that I've seen, I like. Yeah.

And I understand what a lot of guys are talking about and, oh, this change that, change, da-da-da-da, and not really saying what it is. But what it is is a lot more. It's business. It's a 100% business right now. This man is not, he ain't, yeah, he ain't, he ain't cutting no corner right now.

And to think about it, you wasn't here when Coach T first came in. No, yeah. Coach T first came in. Br, that man worked looks like dogs. Yeah. Like, we lost to Jacksonville in the first round of the playoffs, bro, at home because, like,

we were just beat up from the whole year. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? So the new regime, the changeover, I like, I like what I'm seeing because it makes you sit back and be like, you know what? The whole, everything outside is just straight business. It ain't take your kid to work every day. It's family day is family day. And your family over here.

You know what I'm saying? Like, we wasn't over there because it was, we were considered media. So we had to go into the red box. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Hey, listen, I was like, okay, cool. Credentialed up. You're like, we got to go.

We're cool. Where's your pants? Red box, you got to be over there. Okay, we're going. Cool. I like it. I respect it, though, man. Sometimes you got people all in the way.

Y'all got a job to do. It's real. It's training can't time. It's fascinating, though, because now we can see a different side. There's so many different ways of skin a cat. Yeah, and be successful at the same time. So that's the fascinating thing about just change in general. Yeah.

No doubt. How do y'all feel about Coach Graham, the new D. defensive coordinator? Yeah, I'm loving it. so far. I think PG, he comes in with a lot of energy. You know, he's got a passion for this game, for sure, and he's won Super Bowl, as he knows what it's like to win. So I think it's been awesome. And like I said, a lot of dudes are buying into his defense and his vision for the defense. And like I said, it's just about us being as leaders bringing in the young guys and

bringing those guys along and really, you know, leading the charge in that way. But, you know, we definitely like him. You know, like I said, he brings a lot of energy, especially in meetings. Every every meeting, you know, comes in with the same energy. He's the same self. Love that. Yeah, I like that. I like that. Is it anything that he is giving you, like, TJ, you've been in the league for a minute. Now, what you want? 9, 10. 10, yeah.

Is it any nuggets that he's dropped to you that you're like, you know what? That's something that I never thought about that you can actually use now to help improve. I think he's really good at allowing us to have freedom on certain plays. Like there's plays that on the whiteboard that says, you can't do this, you can't do that. But he's like, hey, in this situation, you can be able to. You're allowed to do stuff like. He builds it in. And I really appreciate that.

I think we're changing personnel's a lot more. And when we change more personnel, it changes where we go in the line of scrimmage. So you have to know more than just what the left outside linebacker, right outside linebacker doing. So I think it's going to allow us to be way more versatile as a defense as a whole, honestly. Yeah, that was a lot with Dickler Bow's defense. When you came in, Coach of the Bow's defense, I don't even know if you, you didn't come in. No, no. You didn't.

So if you had came under Coast of the Bowell, like how the defense was, it's like, you could have six defense that look exactly the same. And of those six defenses, you could be lined up in the same spot. Three of them, you may be blitzing, three of them you may be dropping. And then in that whole, like you said, that whole nuance, you had things where you could, he would allow, you know what I'm saying. Exactly. And then you had things that it's like, yo, you can't do this.

I don't care what happened. So I like the mindset. Unless. Right. Hey, hey, everything changes. You need a point. Boy. And I was like, most of the ball is on the sideline.

Like, Bebo, what you doing? You're dropping? No, no. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You get that same thing. Go say nothing. Absolutely. Yeah, yeah, man, for sure.

What are some of your goals, though, this year for you, High Smith? Yeah, I mean, obviously, first and foremost, Super Bowl is obviously number one. 100% of the playoffs. You know, obviously, we've got to the playoffs, you know, a lot, you know, since I've been here almost every year. And so, you know, when we get there, we know we got to execute, and we know the type of thing that we have to be able to make that run.

So for us, I think once that time comes, once we get to that playoff time, really got to lock in on the details and play our bit. You got to be playing our best football going into the playoffs. So like I said, I know we have the team to do it. So we just got to continue to build, continue to get after it every single day. Yep, yep, yep, yep. Hey, TJ, you remember what she told me why you were like, we were like, yo, man, we should get your brother over here.

And you were like, yeah, yeah, yeah, but. Yeah, you were like, I don't know about that because it'll be, it'll be two watts on there. And it'll be a J-Watt. You never-wide. Yeah, in college, I had to freaking wanted me to do that, too, because me and Derek on the same team.

What would it spell out, T-J? T-Watt. Yeah. He was good on that. Hey, man. No, no, no. He was like, no, it can't happen, man. He's like, I had to do it in college, man.

He's like, I had to do that. That's funny. But, T, I got some things to ask you, too, but I've been into the fashion with your wife was going to With that. Avicromby. Have a great partnership with them in the last two years.

Just trying to pick partnerships that make sense to me. And any time I can bring my wife in, we can do a partnership together. I think it's great opportunity. How that's a lot of fun? What song? What's something that you want to improve on going into next season, bro, what your game? I think just being, continue to be a force multiplier, just to continue to help improve people around me and try to be infectious in the most positive way possible. and like Alex was saying, play our best football as the season goes on and trying to find ways to continue to stay healthy and fresh down the road. I don't want a freaking playoff game my whole career.

And sitting up next to guys like you, especially you, Debo, that's absolutely unacceptable. So, yeah, that needs to change and that sounds like just a broken record, but that's what it is. I was going to ask you, but basically, like, what makes you, keeps you motivated, like, to keep going?

Holy shit. You basically just now? Yeah, the far as I've been in the playoffs, was 2017 when we had the first round by. We lost Jacksonville. Yes. So that's something that like as a Pittsburgh Steeler for 10 years, man, like you look back at legacy as a team, like what are you able to accomplish?

I think that's something that's left unchecked right now. Yeah. That makes complete sense. Yeah. Just knowing with your legacy, how great you and Cam and Highsmith, just having players like that when the team, like we can make something really happen. Speaking of that, Highman. your career is over with

you sitting back oh I'm sorry I'm setting up I'm feeling okay your career is over with you're sitting back

you're chilling with you cheering and they're talking about you Pittsburgh Stilly fans talking about you what you want them saying about Alex

Heistman for on the field or off the field off the field off the field. Obviously, you know, for me, I feel like I know that I've been given this platform, you know, by God to be a blessing to others. And for me, you know, mine, I know my biggest purpose goes far beyond the game. You know, it goes to making an impact off the field and knowing that I don't have this platform for long, that I've got to use it for good while I have it. And so

for me, I just want to be known for someone that made an impact while I was here. And whether that's in my community, you know, around the guys in the locker room. You know, I'll know that, you know, people won't always remember what you do, but I'll remember how you made him feel. And so for me, that's just my feeling my biggest purpose in the life is just to, you know, to glorify God with the talents that I have. And so when they turn that tape on, I wanted to see someone that plays hard. When you want them saying when they say, Allie, the still.

I want them to say that dude's got a motor. Like, that's what I want to see. Effort, motor. Like, that's what I want people to see. Like, when I show my children, the future when I show him film like, dang, dang, dad, you was, you was running, you was moving. Like, yeah. You know what I mean?

So that's what I would say like for on the field. But off the field wise, like, you know, definitely leaving the lasting impact that goes far beyond the game. Definitely. I love it, man. You know, that's why I figured that's where you were going to go with it. You know, like I said, I recently over the last couple years, except my Lord and Savior. And it changed a lot of aspects of how I see things, how I view things and what my goals

and, you know, what motivates me, what drives me. And, you know, like you said, it's my lord and savor, you know, first and foremost. For you, T.J. When it's not like the way Debo put it, but when the game is all over for you and you and you hang up the cleats, what would you want the people to remember? I think Alex pretty much hit the nail on the head, but I think as far as football goes, I think the motor is the biggest thing is, like, PG brought up a great point. We was talking about Brandon Graham when he was, he had a great interview with him coming

out of college and it just really stuck with him and he said he made it a point to go back and watch the first play of his career and he didn't have the tape but he explained how it was balls of the wall hustling to the football his first play then he goes now watch this and he puts on his last play before he retired the second time so it was like his first retirement was his last play and it was a screen pass the game was in the books but he sprinted the ball it was basically identical first to last play book ended by absolutely balls of the wall playing just for his team just to put his stamp on the floor. On the field, off the field, obviously the playing. Everybody sees that, but just locker room dudes and then great leaders. So I wish nothing but the best for you guys, man, to continue success. Listen, man, we ain't letting these boys go yet. No, I can't say that. I just because that's how I feel. No, no, no, no, no, no. You're about to let them go.

Listen to me. When I got my boys around me, I just feel like to give him love. He got, he got, he got, he got, he got, he got, he got, he got, he got, he got, he got, he's with child. Yes, he is with child. He's with, you're changing. How is that? How is that? That is life changing in every way possible.

I'm telling him how great it is, man. I got a year and a half or 17 months old. A year and a year and a half. I'm a year and a half. I'm a year and a half. We're 15 months. Exactly. She's 17 months, 23 days, 7 hours and 8 minutes.

Exactly. It's the best, man. It has changed my life in every way possible. in the best way, just how I look at my wife and my daughter. I love my family, man. Oh, yeah. So good. Refocus.

You know, you start realizing what really matters. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Like I said, I was one of those people, like, until I had my son, dude, I, I didn't care about nothing. I ain't care about nobody. And I was like, I didn't even want kids, to be honest. When I had my son, I'm like, damn, now I got this thing.

I'm in love with, and I got to take care of it. Now I can't think about nothing but him, and then I wouldn't have another one. And I'm like, you know what? I told him up until I had kids where I believe I was invincible. I believe I couldn't get hurt. I believe I couldn't die. That's how I got over my fear flying in planes. I told myself, if it crashed, I'm jumping out.

You're not. Still? That's how. It's not no more. I'm cool. I'm cool. I mean, I'm not ready to go, you know what I'm saying? But when I first got in the league, oh, terrible.

Dude, he got over his ear. How did what I said, everyone you first got in? That's crazy. That's crazy. You know how it was. Got Joe! Yeah. In 95, the team wasn't worth as much.

Hey! Listen, man, it was, yeah, it was different. That's how I got over it. Like, I just believed I couldn't, like, you know, the plane go down. I'm going to bust the door open. The emergency, I'm going to jump out. I'm going on the ground. I have a couple scratches on me.

That's it, and I'll be good. Yeah. Wow, man. What are some things that you do now that you said you'd never do? like as a parent because that's what I always like I'll never do that and I'm like walking it all back

so the thing that I'll say I said I would never do is be like easy on me and I was I was I was tough I was tough on my kids for a while for a long time

and I'm still tough on my kids but I don't like I was like I'm whooping ass for everything because you got boy or girl girl you can't do nothing that I can't do all the discipline.

I can only imagine if I have it. Like, how is it? Like, you know, God bless me with two boys. Yeah. And I say that because if I had a girl, I would be soft. I'm done. I'm done. I'm cooked.

She got it. I treat my kids. My dudes, daughters, they love me. And I'm like, yeah, I couldn't, how can I tell her no? I'm constantly sending stuff home, even a training camera. My wife would be like sending it back before Blake leaving gets to open it. So I'm constantly trying to spoil her, but Danny keeps me in check. Yeah, man.

She got a tough She'll be athlete, though. She'll be pushing. Hasniff, I've seen you've been doing a little cooking. What's going on with that, man? How long you've been cooking? You've been shuffing it up for a while. I mean, I've been shuffing up for a while.

But, you know, I thought it was finally time to, you know, post some videos. You know, I say my wife, you know, Alyssa, she was like, you need to post some videos because you can really cook. And I always post my story. And I know that, all right, let me post some and, you know, get my stuff out there and she's going to get some brand deals and whatnot. But, I mean, I would say I'm a girlmaster. would say that. I think so. I've been doing it for a while. So, yeah, there's going to be more

content coming soon, but it's definitely one of my passions outside the game is, you're looking, he's looking to me like, he can't really cook like that. Because he think he could throw down, but he think he could throw down. That's what I'm God, nil. I thought, and I don't even know what that is. We will have to do a cookoff. Let's do it. What would it mean to you? It would mean, you know, everything in regards to this game, you know, that's the pinnacle of what you do. It's what you work for every single year. You know, you're putting in all those hours in the all season and just to win it for the city, you know, for the guys around me, guys like T. K.M., Aaron, all the vets and the guys, just the whole team as well. Like, it just means so much because we got a lot of guys who put in the work

We've got a lot of talented players, a lot of guys who are great football players. And this city is so passionate about this game and about us, about this team. And so I think that would just mean a lot just to especially win it here, naked number seven. Oh, yes. CJ. Man, we're in the city of champions, man. Yes, sir. We've seen six Super Bowl trophies from the day we walked in the building.

And it's been a point, the stairway to seven, however you want to pitch it, we need to get that seventh. And since I've been in Pittsburgh, I think the Penguins have won. twice and have been able to have parades. Our time's got to be up, man. It really has to be. We put so much into this. You guys know what all goes into a season, what goes into a career. And what better way to pay back a career and pay back the fans and our families and everything

that has gone into this, the amount of support that we've had throughout our whole career to be able to. Absolutely. To be able to pay them back in the city. And just there's so many people that go into this thing that we call. the game of football, to be able to pay them back and hoist the trophy and have that memory where we can sit back and have conversations for years to come and show our kids, man, I want that. I want that for everybody in that locker room and everybody is fans, so it would be damn

He was holding everybody else. So that was really important for me and just, you know, now as I'm getting into my third year, I'm ready to take a lot of that off of his plate because the last few years, you know, he's had a lot to do with the calls, you know, making sure everything's ran right. So I'm pretty excited for this year to take a little bit off of his plate and just kind of let him play ball and both of us open up a little bit. No. What's the learning curve like for you

with a new D-coordinator grant? I mean, it's a lot. I mean, because, I mean, it's a whole different world now. You know what I'm saying? We ran the same stuff for a long time, in a sense. But, I mean, I don't know per se, but what I'm going to say is it's going to be a difference

in the actual, first it's going to be communication. And then it's going to be the assignments of, what it is that you have to do and how those can flip with, y'all have motion flips, right? Yes. Yeah, I mean, it's, what's cool for me is,

like LeBolt. Like PG, Patrick Graham, PG we call him. He likes to just have the pin in his hand the last, you know what I'm saying? Like, he thinks he's able to not really determine what they're going to run, but if they're doing this and doing this, we're able to get to certain things

to combat what they're trying to do, which I really like. And it's obviously a lot, you know, as the inside backers having to control. everything's at the front and things like that. But I think once it really clicks, you're going to see us flying around. Yeah.

Playing freely. Yeah. The understanding of what it is that you have to get accomplished, and especially the first thing is alignment assignment. You've got to get the guys in the right positions, the right calls, and then you've got to make the correct adjustments, especially, you know,

when it come time to motion. You know, Dick LeBow's defense was due to need a year before you were able to really get into it and understand it just at yours position. And then once you get into it, now you start learning the guys next to you and so on and so forth. And right now, what you all done got into is that big learning curve. You just changed over something new.

It's new-ish, but it's far more, I would say, complicated as far as communication and understanding because of the technicalities of his defense and how he runs it. And then how he sees and relates it to who he's going against. So it's not like I run this defense This is what I run no I run this defense And I run this defense because of how it is that they Run their offense and I know what is going to be Successful against them so you may have defenses where I'm assuming you know you you'll run

You know for a majority of the part of this because of the Personnel that you have or the alignment that they give you Yeah, you know But yeah one thing one thing I'm starting to see kind of come together now that we're two and a half weeks into camp, like you just said, like, you know what you're supposed to do, but when you know what the person beside you, not even their assignment, but, like, more so how they're going to play is when, like, I mean, I've been playing beside PQ for two years now, so, like, when we move to the ball, I know how he's going to shoot gaps, I know when or when he's not going to shoot gaps

or when he's not going to jump routes. So, like, that's one thing that's cool for me over, like, especially this last week when we really started to jail. It's just to, like, kind of know what that guy is doing to you, or even know, like, hey, what's the corner's responsibility? try to make his responsibility a little easier in quarters and cover three and cover two whatever we're doing and then it kind of just opens you up in a sense to like all right like i don't memorize my stuff anymore i kind of understand why we do this and why we call this so i'm really enjoying that part of the learning curve yeah so i said around this year so this is what what year for you in the league three three so what parts has mainly started to slow down for you coming into this year or the league i would say especially this year um Well, my rookie, you know, I mean, y'all know how it is. Like, my rookie year I came in and I was playing, and it was more so just about not making mistakes. Yeah.

Which I hated. Like, that's not how I've ever played. And then last year, it kind of opened up a little bit. But this year, like, not that I'm going to make a ton of mistakes, but, like, you know, I'm playing ball. I'm playing to make plays. Yes. I'm not going to have that fear of, hey, if I do this, they might pull me out.

Or if I do that, you know, I'm just going to be playing ball. And honestly, like, used to, I would like, line up, I would figure out of my assignment and I'd be in my gap, I'd do my thing. Now I line up, I get the call, see the formation, you know, knock certain variables out. That's how I'm starting to play a lot faster.

Well, you got a better understanding of the defense. Trust me, when you already know what you're doing, you can start looking and seeing what was going on over here. And it's, I mean, I'm in a I'm not an older, I'm in a veteran defense. Like, these guys are really smart. I mean, even, like, I mean, you know how it is. Definitely.

A lot of the times, maybe the guys in front of you don't know as much ball as, you know, the back end, the safeties and stuff. But, I mean, the guys we got up front, and know just as much ball as the off ballbackers as much as the safety. It's funny, Cam, you know, he didn't get on my nerves with it, but like, we'll, like, call the front and he'll be turning around to make the check. And I'm like, you know, just one second, one's he, you know, but that's just how it is. And it's really cool to play behind that.

And, you know, because then we're all on the same understanding of, like, Mike T. said every meal is not a banquet, you know, if they know it's quick game, get the hands up. Yes. That's why Cam has more people. you've used in dvies most years. Yeah. It's really cool to play with that, that like,

I guess, global knowledge, like the whole defense, yeah, the whole defense is understanding. It's really cool. Yeah. Hell of yeah.

Yeah, we, so as you're saying, like, you know, he's looking back, well, you know, when we came in,

he was a young guy and he has linebackers behind him that's, you know, been there for eight, nine years. And before he even get a thought of,

you know, where he's, they're telling me, hey, da-da-da-da-da-da. So he's, you know, He's sitting there like, hey, hey, hey, because he's feeling like the process isn't going as fast as he wanted to go and then.

You know, you got to switch over and all that. I think once you guys actually get to where you get into game mode, you get into game speed, and now you have that communication with all the, because I'm pretty sure they're having practice be super crazy with a whole bunch of emotions. So you get, dude. I was so, like, confused and, like, I was out of it, dude. I would literally stop in the middle of the play. Like, yo, they start motioning it. No, I'm dead serious, bro.

Digler Bowles' defense was so crazy. I could go from a free blitzer, nothing, no responsibility, to man on number two, solo by myself, like just from motion. And they made it complicated like that in practice to where they were just motioned in motion so that you knew where you were doing. And so when we finally got into the games, and I realized they weren't going to do that, I'm like, oh, shit.

I need to realize, I need to sit down and understand what they're. What hell is going on? Yeah. I'm practicing for the craziest thing to happen. So, yeah. And then we also have all these, like, I mean, everybody does now. Every different personnel. So, like, every different play is bass, as nickel is dime.

Like, everything's switching. So you kind of have to understand, like, your role is kind of changing dime. Obviously, the base, there's five down. So everything just changes a little bit. But, like you said, they make practice much harder than the game is. Yes. Yes. Yes.

That's, yeah. I like that. I like that he does that. What goals you got for 2026 for this year? For myself? For yourself, man, for yourself. We go to self and then we go team. Man, I don't really love to throw, like, stats.

Not numbers or just, okay. Man, I just want to be on the field every play of the defense. I want to help this team. And obviously, y'all know, I mean, our goal here is to win a Super Bowl every year. Anything less is. Anything less is a failure. It's failure. And, you know, I've known that for the last two years,

and we obviously haven't got that accomplished. And, you know, it kind of hurts your soul a little bit when you have guys like Cam, TJ, Aaron now. You know, like just, you know, the way we went out last year, just kind of let the bad taste in our mouth. So I think, I mean, the goal here is always a Super Bowl. If it's not the Super Bowl, it's considered failure. And that's been established through generations now.

Yes. That's really, I mean, it might sound cheesy, but that's really my only goal is to help this team just win a Super Bowl. Come on, come on you, come on you, man. When you fall in the same way with you do exactly what you got to do, that's what's going to happen. You know what I'm saying? Like, you want to be the best that you can be in numbers and everything.

That's going to happen. Yes, the numbers and the accolades come with it, do. And I would say it's really easy to play very hard for this team. Because when you watch the film, you see guys like Cam, a big man running out of a stack every time. You know, you see the most profound veterans at their position maybe ever, you know, practicing with excellence, you know. So it's really easy to have that mindset around here. Yeah. Because, I mean, it's been established for Mike T.

there. Just a new terminology, really. But, yeah, a scheme I'm comfortable in and used to, so definitely. And you was an undrafted running back, so just thinking about you see, you got your deal, both of my dudes undrafted running back. The only person in here drafted was you.

Oh, shit. No, okay. But we all made it to the same spot? I don't know. So do you still have that chip on your shoulder still for that drive today? For sure. For sure. I don't think I'll never go away. You know, I play the game with football because I love football and I love it and all that, obviously.

But, yeah, I'm always having that with me, no matter of you. Same? Yeah, for sure, and the same. I think every time I step out there, like I'm playing with a point to prove, like you said, just came with being undrafted and having to earn my spot each and every year on the team. So improve it to the coaches. So every time I'm out there, it's like I've got a point to prove to everybody. Look here, man, being an undrafted guy, what is that situation or scenario, I should say?

I know for me it was I sat behind the dude that I was better than. I knew I was better than. They knew that I was better than. But if he was dressed, they'd start him. And if he wasn't, he didn't play. I played all the special teams. I sat behind his cat for almost three years. that's what like I go back to that in my head

every time I get into train camp every time I come into a season is that whole situation that scenario and you know what's so crazy I don't know how y'all do it but what I do is I hype myself to think like I don't give a damn if they drafted a dude to bring somebody in they brought him in because they said I'm sucked

and that's what I used in my psyche to get me to uh had that feel keep that chip on my shoulder I'd say. You have any scenario situation where you go back to and you think about

where you're like, you know what, that right there is what's going to keep me motivated. It's going to keep that chip on my shoulders. It's going to keep me driven. Yeah, I say a lot, similar stories for real, honestly. Obviously, I was playing behind

Zika and TEP my first couple years of two great running backs, but I always thought I could be out there doing it just out of going through practices and stuff. And then just over the years you see him keep bringing a new guy in.

It's a revolving door. They're bringing a new guy in. I have to keep, like I said, proving myself each and every year. And then I got put on the IR one year. And then the next year it was like, okay, he's fighting for the three-spot again. End up being the two that year. And then, so, yeah, similar stories, though. Then just keep him saying bringing guys in and me just keep beating him out.

Straight up. Yeah, boy, you don't know about that, Joe. You got that first round, man. They came in. I still was grinding them, bro. I know what the ground looked like. You had the chip on your shoulder? He had the tip on the shoulder.

I wanted to prove that I was worth the first round pick. He got the tip on the shoulder after they started gas and you. Y'all ain't fucked up the pick. You know what I'm saying? He first came in. Josh Kribs told us about it. They was. They was fine.

They were bombs over Baghdad on his head now first. Yeah, they was. Rookie a training cat was a little tough. What was y'all, this might be back in the day. it was either of my, yeah, I ain't played offense until my fourth year. Oh, that you're tripping. I was four-four. It was on-side kick versus the Ravens. You know, they like big guys out there. I still remember I think he was number 99. He hit with the, we was kicking it.

No, we was protecting them. We had to protect the front line, and he hit me. It felt like my back was this way, his hips was this way. I ain't walked probably like two days, but yeah, that was mine for sure. Oh, man, yeah.

I did, it was an on-side kick. I don't know where it was. I can't remember where it was at. But when they hit me, I felt like straight on my butt, like straight down on my butt, double, and going to a hernia surgery after the season. Who hit you? I don't know what they did.

Do you know who hit you? I don't know who was. It wasn't even like that. It was the fact that I hit my butt. Like, I literally landed, like, just, I don't know what I was thinking. Like, it was young. I was rookie. You can put it up your ass, Thibo.

Br. That's crazy. It was two of them, though. You know how they do to double up? The ball was coming, and you're supposed to, and I was, I ain't picked one. But if I had picked one, they might have got the ball. That's what you got to do. You got to pick one.

Yeah, I said, I don't want to be on the front line no more. That's a wild man. But my welcome to the NFL moment, you know it was. What? Practice. Who? It was. I don't even know, I don't even know what the tackle name was, bro. And it wasn't that somebody hit me, because I was pretty good with the hitting thing.

It was the speed. Bruner went down. You know, you see the down around block? Yeah. Tidding went down. And I'm normally, when I see that, it's like easy. I go step up and I, you know, go to the tackle. Yeah. Man, by the time I looked up, my uncle, tackle is right here.

He had me hooked. I swear, it was like this, and then I looked up, and he was already here. Yeah, bro. I was like, it split of this game's different. Did he hit you? No, bro. He just cut you. I couldn't get, bro, and I couldn't move.

Like, I couldn't, it was nothing I could do. I was stuck. Strong. Strong man. No, he was fast. Speed. It was too fast. Question, brother.

How has it been like now going with Aaron Rogers? Knowing it's going to be his last year playing with him this year. Has he been in the, like, just trying to figure out meetings and trying to get plays and stuff, trying to make sure everybody's on the same page? Yeah, I mean, yeah. He'll, if he feels like there's any lack anywhere, he'll definitely get resolved as, you know, on his timing, which is usually urgent. But it's good.

Like, I don't feel, I don't feel like there's any, like, he's acting any kind of different. Like, he's still approaching it. Like, you know, he's still trying to win the Super Bowl. Like, he ain't acting, like, overreacting over anything. But, like, he's just playing ball. Yeah. That's good stuff.

Yeah. For me, it's just been nice. Obviously, just my first year with him. It's been nice getting out there with him, you know, Hall of Fame quarterback. Great. I'm just amazed by how smart he is. That's what's standing out.

That's what I was going to ask. Looking forward to getting out there. Is it anything that you have gotten from him, you know, little nuggets, as I like to say, here and there that he said, hey, you know, do this or that. And, you know, it's things where you're like, you know what, I did it. And now I'm looking back and, you know, you know what, if I had been doing that sooner, I could have had, you know, maybe more yardage from this or, you know, had more success. I wouldn't say that.

Usually when he tell you to do something, 10 out of 10 times he writes about what he wants you to do. It's going to work. No, I'm dead serious. I've never seen nothing like this before. But, yeah, so usually when he gives you a cue, something to do, he write about. He's going to work for the best of the team. So I'm definitely looking forward to getting out there. Okay.

I feel like it's running back. As long as you communicate with him before the play, you can never be wrong. That's like a big thing for us in running back. So how many times when you're going to be running back home? you're out there, may he change or communicate something to you that wasn't exactly as the play had been. Had been drawn out, I'll say. Sure. He'll just say, like, it'll be a play call.

Then he'll look and he'll be like, do this. Like, he'll really tell you what to do. Like, sometimes there'll be a term. Wait, what is that? And just do that. And, yeah, it's right on the doubt. So he'll say it flex out. I know you're on the line.

Well, I'm hearing from a couple other guys that y'all go to his career on like Tuesday's off day or something like that. And y'all do some film, field communication, all that other stuff. How much of that has actually, like, helped to get that communication or that unspoken communication as I've been asking other guys? Like, how much of that has been helpful, I should say? It was very helpful because it gets, you know, everybody shows up. You know, we, whatever. But we're just creating that chemistry within each other. You know, everybody getting the same verbiage.

Yes. Everybody on the same page. Yeah, yeah. So even if it's not something that y'all may have necessarily heard at practice, he's like, yeah, this is what we're going to call this. I've seen this right. You see this right here. I know what they're about to do.

I'm going to say this. You blop this, go that. Okay. Yeah, I like it. I like it. I love it. Man, we said to the goal this year, Super Bowl? Yes.

Stop. You're supposed to ask them. Oh. Indubidably. My bad. What's the goal for this season? Super Bowl. Okay.

You didn't get there by mistake. All the stuff that comes with winning a Super Bowl, the accolades, the numbers, all that,

is going to come with it. And I don't think a lot of guys realize a lot of guys going to the season focused on, I want to get this number, I want to get that number, I want to do this. No, what we want to do is we want to win the Super Bowl. You win the Super Bowl, everybody gets in the way. We was getting to the Super Bowl.
