On the new podcast Solita, we share the messy reality of traveling alone as a woman.
I can wait four hours for the next bus or this random dude is offering me a ride on his motorcycle.
I choose option B. I'm Julie Pinero and I travel by myself because it's a rare space where I can say yes without asking anyone else first.
I'm on a mission to reclaim the word Solita, trading for.
the pity for possibility. Listen to Solita on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Self-care September is your reminder to slow down, check in with yourself, get off your phone,
and maybe ask, why am I like this? I'm Jemisbeg, host of the Psychology of Your 20s podcast,
and this month we're helping you make sense of the person that you are becoming,
from setting boundaries and navigating friendships to understanding anxiety, confidence,
relationships and attachment.
Sometimes our biggest decisions, without us even realizing it,
aren't driven by what we truly want,
but by what will prevent us from feeling lonely or being alone.

On Big Lives, we take a single cultural icon.
People like Jane Fonda, George Michael, Little Richard.
And we pull apart the story behind the image.
discovering forgotten interviews that changed exactly how we see these giants of our culture.
We're here for the messy, the brilliant, the human version of our heroes.
I'm Emmanuel Jochi.
I'm Kai Wright.
And this is Big Lives.

In February of 2024, celebrated illustrator and children's book author Patra Mathers and her husband Michael mailed letters to dozens of friends and family members to let them know they had died.
suicide.
Dear honeies, this is goodbye.
By the time you get to Shletter, both Petra and I will be dead.
Next stop, Wonderland.
Why did they do it?
And what did it do to the people they left behind?
Listen to Death of an Artist on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
And we go, we go slide on over here to the 49th's head coach Kyle Shannahan.
And he's talking about travel to a...
taking this travel to full advantage.
Listen.
Guys that are coming back from injuries.
Because we're technically in the future,
from where we're from, the president.
I want to talk about injuries still tomorrow.
That's facts, Joe.
Debo.
That's facts.
So facts.
I love when he says this.
Because this reminds me of, like,
I love the way
that we are so programmed in the NFL.
Like schedule-wise, days-wise, when the games are on Sunday.
That's the way that you plan your schedule.
Monday is a Monday, Tuesday is a Tuesday.
It's an off-day.
Wednesday is the first install day.
Thursday is what the Thursday is.
Friday is red zones.
Saturday's walk-through.
Sunday is your game.
Like, no matter what time it is, if you're going to travel back in time, I just love the NFL.
It's real, like, same thing.
You're going to know what you're going to know.
what it is, you know exactly what the schedule is. So no matter where you go, you go flying back in time,
you're keeping that schedule the exact same way it is because you just are super
programs. So I like when coach says stuff like this because it just brings me back to whenever
we traveled, like, to L.A.
Hey, Joe, I don't think you get what he was saying. Huh? I don't think you get what he was saying.
What are you saying? Okay, so where he was at was the day that he's talking about. There are
like, what is it, they're in Australia?
Yes. They're like
16, 18 hours ahead.
They're like a whole day ahead.
So back here,
it's Monday.
There, it's Tuesday. What he's saying
is I don't have to
give you my report
now. Sorry.
Oh, okay.
But anyway, I don't have to give you
my report now. Well, it's the same
as, well, it's Monday there.
but they don't turn theirs into whatever the time is here.
So he's like, I'm not giving you my report,
even though I'm supposed to give it to you on Monday
because where we're from, it's not Monday.
So I'm not giving it to you right now.
That's what he said.
He's not saying like we're sticking to the schedule as it.
No, he was just saying like, because we're ahead,
18 hours ahead, I don't have to give you mine until 18 hours from now,
which would actually be a day later in time as they are there,
but it would be the same time as it is over here.
Yes.
That's what he was saying.
I get what you're saying.
I get what you're saying.
I get what he's saying.
But it's kind of the, he was,
if you looked at the interview too, the same thing.
He started basically, it's kind of like the same thing.
Do you know what I'm saying?
Like, well, yeah, I know.
I know.
Whatever.
I'm telling you, though.
Yo, it's hard, baby.
Don't worry about nothing.
I'm telling no, Bibo.
For real, though.
Listen, listen.
So I guess Miles Garrett, he added some new training to his off season.
They've been running around on social media.
You know, this right here, check it up.
If I want to stop stepping the fan,
the moment I start my front foot forward,
I don't get to have my foot go first.
You'll notice you're searching for ground
as if a sprinter was searching for ground.
Like that?
We don't want to do that.
We want to push.
Good shot.
Because the moment I go to shift in,
if I go foot first, you can feel the power disappear.
If I go hip first, you're like, oh, push in the back.
Before the hip, shift.
There's wind of me.
You just shift the hip without searching for ground.
It's really, really hard to pattern that.
See?
That was really easy, but you've got to be snapping at it.
The knee will still come.
Can we make it more about the hit before we get the knee?
You blame Shay for this?
I'm talking to Shay.
Hey, I'm glad I retired.
Hey, Joe.
Yo, that's that, that's where, you know,
the Samoans been lying up and just running into each other.
Yeah.
That's that training.
That's that right there, bro.
That's what that is.
I ain't going to lie to you.
I don't know we're going to be able to use that over here too much
because wouldn't they call that?
a launch.
It's a man.
It looks same foot,
same shoulder.
As long as you don't,
like,
he wasn't,
he wasn't leaving his feet.
Brough.
You got to leave,
well,
you're right.
He might not.
He wasn't launching.
That was same foot,
same shoulder.
But if you hit,
hey,
if you hit somebody like that
and they flop
and hit their back like that,
they go,
they go swerving down
it's launching,
because you're going to come
off your feet in that process
of hitting him
because you're going
to be going through the body
you're going to have to make sure you wrap up that thing.
See, no, wrap that thing up.
They're going to say, no, you hit him in his head.
And don't nobody fall back that, fair.
That's what, Debo, that looks like the way that your son hit buddy.
Same foot, same shoulder.
He did not launch.
When you hit somebody with your trajectory being way strong like that,
you're going to make it look crazy.
So long as Miles don't put his head into him, moves it to the side,
it's going to look very violent.
They need to slow down these hits, man, go on here and be like,
Hey, man, look here, man.
That was a reaction from him getting bopped
that his whole head came down on it.
And he did all that to itself.
He needed to get a stronger nut.
That's what I'm trying to tell you.
But when you get hit in your sternum
at that type of speed,
how you have no choice but the fold.
He tried to launch hair him.
Boom.
You know what I'm saying?
Your whole just chest collapses.
There's nothing you could do.
Man.
For real.
Look here, man.
If he do this.
Against San Francisco over there in Australia?
Who you got winning that?
I have the St.
I mean, not the St. Louis, the Los Angeles Rams.
You got the St. Louis Rams.
I got the Los Angeles Rams, my brother.
You got the Rams winning?
I got the Rams winning.
Yep.
It just is what it is.
They got San Fran, got Mike Evans.
You know, they got, hopefully George Kittle can come back and play.
and Debo Samuels.
But, uh...
Yeah, I'm going, yeah.
I'm going with the Rams.
You got to show me something.
They still got Matthew Stafford.
I'm rocking with them.
Pooka, Pooko will be out there, Vante.
I kind of just really wanted to go against you, I think.
That's what it was.
I know.
I can't, you know, I can't jump on you no more.
I told them to leave you alone about that other team, you know.
So I can't really say nothing about it no more, I guess.
Uh-huh.
man
Cowboys all pro tackle
Sorry, left guard
Tyler Smith
Is scheduled to undergo
Thumb surgery Tuesday
And expected to miss four
To six weeks
Right
The earliest Smith could return
Would be October 8th
Against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Cowboys head coach
Brian Schotton
Schopenheimer
On the injury
He said, unfortunately, when you're an offensive lineman, you hold.
That's what you probably put your hand, hold.
Yeah, yeah.
That's what you were doing.
Yeah.
Grip strength and things like that are really important.
We know he's a quick healer, and we want to get it fixed, and he'll be back before too long.
bruh
when they say
when the team says
we know he's a quick killer
they be pissing me off
stop it
what you mean
how you know he's not Wolverine
you how you go
to say this man
to quick hiller
what's you talking
he's getting surgery on his thumb
did he get it before
like you talk about
you don't know how the surgery went
but yeah he's a quick killer
yeah I think this is going to be fine
in no time
listen
they don't I don't
think people understand
when you lose the use
of your hand,
especially your thumb?
Brough, you know how hard it is to even
catch a ball? Let alone
take and punch a man and get him
off of you or drive him
where you need him to go.
And he got to have to play in the cast.
They got to put one of those soft casts
on and bend that thing back, man.
It's going to be.
Look, offensive alignment,
I would say need their hand.
Defense alignment.
could go club.
Offense alignment, you're going to be holding.
If you don't have that other hand,
you're going to be getting dogged.
Like, not in the bad way.
Offense alignment can't hold.
Once you get your hands inside.
That's probably how he broke his thumb.
Hold on somebody.
Oh, man, you literally, that's how my fingers get jacked up now.
We hold it.
I mean, you're trying a little bit holding.
Your hands don't get messed up.
A little bit.
We hold.
I mean, a little bit of a little bit.
Look, tough.
Look, look.
Look, tough.
You hold it so tough.
you're getting your thumb, bro.
I can see like maybe a, you know, a pinky.
You're always so tough you're breaking the thumb, Joe.
Man, not me.
I'm talking about the offense alignment.
Goodness.
My pinky got caught in the jerseys.
Trying to get a low tug.
Trying to get a little tug.
Trying to get a little.
You got your finger caught in that thing,
and they cut and pop that.
Pop my own finger out.
Joe, I used to tape everything up.
So I would tape my hands.
underneath my gloves to where my hands was just locked like this.
And then I put my, I put my glove over the top.
Dude, listen, I was jamming my damn thumb.
Look at these knots on my thumbs.
I was jamming my thumb so damn bad, bro.
Like, I couldn't.
I was like, yo, if I jammed my thumb again,
and, like, you can't do nothing.
I don't, you don't realize, like, what you do with your thumb,
just to brush your teeth and all that, man.
Like, everything.
Eat, like going left-handed.
And then when you mess up, you're right.
right and then you're left.
Now you're just sitting there looking crazy.
Like you can't even put food in your mouth.
You can't even go out to eat, bro,
without looking like you, a little kid.
You know what I'm saying?
They just started using their little teeny,
bruh.
No, man.
You ain't lying.
You're up there like this.
Eat like a little kid.
Cizzer hands.
Man, get out of here.
I don't want to hear none of that.
The Giants have released veteran rod receivers.
there is Slayden.
Slayton, the fifth round pick in 2019,
was the longest-tenured giant.
The move saves the Giants, 3.2
against the 2026 salary cap.
Slaten has signed a three-year deal,
36 million,
with the Giants ahead of the 2025 season.
Now he's a free agent.
He is eligible for waivers as a vested veteran
and can sign elsewhere.
Brah.
Are you surprised by this?
I am.
I am.
But at the same time, when you sign O
and they expect the neighbors
to be able to come back and do what he got to do,
they got a couple of receivers,
and you know how it is, D.
But when you start getting older
and you're getting $12 million a year,
they always...
You only say...
Trying to try and fat.
Like...
I always say what?
I said you only say 3.2,
but you just say,
signed him, not even, just last year.
They don't care.
Was he that bad?
I don't think so.
And I can understand.
That's just a bad GM deal.
If he did, you mean, you're not, you're not liking what you, like you said, Debo.
How old is all.
If you'd have been playing, good enough for that, they would have kept them at the 12.
But it's the what have you done for me lately?
They don't give it that.
If the guaranteed is up, then they can.
could just chop 3.6 is 3.6.
Savage world. Savage.
O's coming in for the low.
That's what I want to know.
Like, how old is old is old?
See, probably 30, 33.
How old is this cat, bro?
He can't be in this 30 yet, right?
I don't think so.
Behind every night spent making the kids' lunches,
there's a lot of suspense.
Will they finally eat the veggies?
Will the pesto survive the first bite?
Will the lunchbox come home empty, half full, or come home at all?
And will you finish episode 8 before you're done slicing the cucumbers?

College football will hijack your weekend, ruin your sleep, and break your heart.
That's why we make the Solid Verbal College Football Show.
I'm Ty Hildenbrand. He's Dan Rubinstein.
How's it going?
Every week, we preview the games that matter, sort through the biggest storylines, and tell
you what to watch before kickoff.
There's a lot to keep track of.
Who's for real?
Which upset is hiding in plain sight?
And which storyline is about to take over your group chat?
And when the games are over, join us in the aftermath, too.
We're going to react to what happened, talk about the biggest results.
Of course, we'll cover the play.
playoff picture and all the little details you might have missed while flipping between like 12
games at once.
Whether you know every coach and coordinator or just want to understand why everybody is yelling,
we're here to help make sense of the madness.
Listen to the solid verbal college football show on the IHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts,
or wherever you get your podcasts.
You know the feeling.
You make a pick in your fantasy draft in the entire room groans because they want to
wanted that player. Or you grab a small school rookie off waivers and you start him right before
he goes off in primetime. There's no better feeling than crushing your fantasy football league.
I'm JJ Zacharyason, host of the late round fantasy football podcast. Before your draft, our
players to target and players to avoid episodes tell you exactly who to circle and who to cross off.
We've got data-driven analysis, historical trends, and the strategies that separate winners from the
rest. And your dominance doesn't stop with the draft. All season long, we have our 15 transactions,
10 trends, sleepers, and the mailback, data-driven, quick-hitting episodes to help bring home that
league trophy. Listen to the late round fantasy football podcast on the IHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts,
or wherever you get your podcasts. The US Open is back. That's right. Two weeks of incredible,
exciting tennis, some outrageous overreactions from players and some hot takes from people who have,
let's face it, no idea what they're talking about, but it's okay because I'm here for them
and you. I'm Renee Stubbs, and on the Renee Stubbs tennis podcast, I'll be breaking down
everything that happens after big matches, who's playing the best tennis, who looks like
they could possibly win this tournament, the surprise runs, the heartbreaking exits and all the
drama that only the US Open can deliver. Coco looking real good. Her serve looks so much,
smoother than it has in the past.
I was really happy to see Eager back to what she looked like a couple of years ago when she
was winning dominantly.
Listen, I'm going to let Venus decide when she wants to retire.
I'm going to let the tournaments decide when they don't want to give her a while card
because she still puts bums in seats.
She still sells and people love to see her play.
You always say on this show that this is the best predictor of who will do well at the
O'S Open.
If this is a preview, then we are in for a treat.
Listen to the Renee Stubbs Tennis podcast on the IHen,
Hot Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get you podcasts.
Adele is 33.
No, he definitely not 33.
Slate is 29.
Yeah.
Dude, he had to be playing bad.
Bad?
I don't know about how bad, but, dude, timing you get, we go.
NFL.
Did O sign more than one year?
No. No, sir.
They let Juju go too, right?
Yes.
You signed it one year, 1.3?
Yeah, one year, 1.3.
Yep.
Debo, like I said, it doesn't, when you, once you, and you notice, like, everybody, people just
start disappearing in the NFL.
Like, if you're a wide receiver, you sign a contract.
Once you get that second contract, if you're not hooping, if you're not ball, if you're not
balling. Like, once that guaranteed is up, because most of the time, they're going to give it to you in your first year. So then the rest of the contract is performance-based. So they can really just chop you with nothing really
owed, nothing happened. They're going to give you that first year, guaranteed money. Now, these next two seasons that you will have on this deal.
Structure, yeah. What have you done for me lately? So it's really structured where, boom, we give you this guarantee first year. So it looks like $33 million. You get your 12 guaranteed the first season. Now, the next season, you can get $12 million.
Or we're going to let you go for nothing because it's like, okay, that was a bad sign.
We gave him the 12 for the first year.
It didn't work out.
Gone.
Like, my boy, disreceivers, like, Deonté Johnson, signs for a little bag.
And the next you know is, soon as now, what have you done for me lately?
Because you're making, as soon as you get into that double digits of making millions of dollars,
they're looking at you now like it's per season.
Once the guaranteed is up, it doesn't matter about none of this contract that you signed.
You're guaranteed is up.
If you're not performing to this $12 million a year,
we can chop you and now we can get somebody else for 1.3.
When Odell comes in, it's like, I don't care what it looks like.
We're able to bite this bullet.
Like, no.
Because when you start having to sign dudes on your team like Malik Neighbors,
he's coming up.
He's going to want 35.
He's the top.
He feels like when you start getting a thousand-yard receivers,
is that or it's nothing?
You know what I'm saying?
There's no middle ground.
Those 13-15.
Well, I would say, I would say not a thousand.
Maybe you got to be somewhere, you know, in that 12.
You know what I'm saying?
For sure.
To get that.
But they're not,
it's,
it's just,
it's so hard to find that middle ground of the tears
because when you got,
40s your one,
what do you pay a two?
It's like,
it's 22 enough,
it's 12,
then you have to still be balling.
Do you know what I'm saying?
Because it's like,
you're not resetting the market.
Where do I fall?
Do you know what I'm saying?
Yeah.
But I don't,
that's, yeah.
I think old got him.
up out of here. Got him up out of there.
3.2.
Anybody else going to pick him up before
clear waivers? I would think so. I mean, what?
How does he? What do they got? They don't have to, the contract's
done. So they could pick him up for
whatever. He's not eligible for waivers as an investor player.
Actually, he could sign wherever he want. That's what I'm
saying. And it'd be whoever wants them.
It's going to be a minimum, huh?
It ain't, it's 1.3.
Whatever it is, go be a mental.
Debo, they don't care.
They let you all.
And he's going to hopefully go back in wherever he goes.
I will hope that he picks.
If it's going to be 1.3, go somewhere that's airing it out.
So you can go out there ball this year,
show that your stats are still good and you can go,
you're going to go get more to that.
This is where you go better on yourself.
Go somewhere.
If somebody's offering you three, man,
bump, I'm going to go to the 1.3 with the fire quarterback.
I'm going to get my reps.
I'm going to get these catches.
I'm going to get ops.
So now everybody sees, all right, that was just a down year.
You got to perform now because now is, what have you done for me lately?
Go hoop this year with a good quarterback.
Now, okay, I'm free.
Anybody needs somebody that can go deep.
I'm right here chilling.
I'm available.
Yeah, for sure, brother.
Look here.
That's it.
Oh, yes.
All right, P game.
It was good, coach.
20, 20, 20.
Six.
NFL season.
Kicks off.
Tomorrow, Joe.
Yes, it does.
Patriots.
Seattle.
820.
Thursday.
49ers.
Rams.
835.
First ever.
NFL game in Australia.
Netflix.
Y'all know they're going to have a hat.
It's a halftime show for you.
Now, you know, next to Netflix did the halftime show.
You know they do the halftime show.
We go see what they got going on.
But, Joe, you know what time it is.
It's time for Player Fade, presented by Prospe.
All right, Joe, you know how I go, man.
It's been a while, though.
It's been a while.
Yeah, sir.
You go play it.
You go fade it.
And we're going to go with it.
I have quarterback.
Sam Darnock.
I'm darnal.
I got him for more than 0.5 passing yards.
Tuh.
Okay.
Check.
All right.
All right.
Now, I also have J.S.N.
Jackson Smith and Jingba.
Mm-hmm.
I have him for more than one touchdown.
1.5, so you're going to get him one to-tty.
That's a tutty.
He'll get him.
Yeah, he'll give him to tutty.
Okay, start off the season.
Brock Purdy.
I ain't going to lie.
I got him for less than 242.5 passing.
Correct.
Okay.
Now, I have Miles Garrett for more than half a sack.
and you changed it?
They ended up changing it, so I had to change it.
So it's more than 0.5 of a sack out half a mile scared.
Okay.
Debo, just, yep, obviously the first one, Sam Darno, 0.5 pass yards.
I could get that, Joe.
We already, Debo, a thousand percent.
I like you to throw a quick out.
Jackson Smith and Jigba, got to get into this.
zone.
Got to get the teddy.
Got to get into the zone.
He just signed in for the bag.
$50 billion.
First game of the season, it means they're going to be locked in, but I still like him
to get into the zone.
Brock Purdy under 242.
Yes.
Ram's defense is not going to be playing with, not rocking with that.
Trent McDuffie and his boy walkers, they knew they show him they're not playing.
D-line getting after him.
And Miles Garrett.
Welcome to L.A., obviously.
You know what I'm saying?
Just one sack.
Dug.
Dug.
Duh.
Y'all heard what he said, man.
He's about to play that thing with your boy.
Look here.

Got to.
After you play your first $5 lineup, get that shit ride.
Let's go.
That code is Dibon Joe.
for 150.
Sorry, it's Debo Joe.
I said Ann.
It's Debo Joe.
Debo Joe.
To get $150 instantly in lineups when you play your first $5 lineup.
Let's check out these super chats, Joe.
Covered in live.
She back fired.
Oh, it was.
She said, Joe, I'm still waiting on that brown's jersey.
I need it before your, I mean, all of fame.
All the fame.
What I say?
Chill, Debo.
Hey.
I need it before your Hall of Fame career takes off,
and that jersey becomes a collector's item.
You promised.
Coveted it.
Trust me.
And I promise you, when I told you, I'm keeping my word.
I got you the jersey.
Promise you.
23 land coming your way.
I understand.
What's the timeline, though?
She's trying to get it to a certain, you know.
I know, I know.
What's the timeline?
He's stuttering. He's lying.
I'm not lying.
He's not lying.
He ain't got the answer.
Before this, before this, before,
before next Sunday, before next Sunday.
Don't say nothing else, too.
Covering the lights.
She's back again, $10.
That's covered.
Love it.
She said, with joy coming off a great season,
are the Steelers truly planning to build around him long term?
Or are they quietly questioning whether he is their number one corner of the
future. By the way, I
love the new intro. Thank you,
Cubbin. Thank you, Cove it.
Build
around him, I would not even make that
term. Nobody really
builds around a corner. You get him
to have him
not allowed him to use
parts of the field.
What
we go do,
I am not
very confident
in
him being here after this current deal that basically, I feel like, puts him in that six or seven
range.
Worst case, a seven.
Like, that's 30.
Everything that we look at, your top, what is the top seven?
Almost my close to eight now.
That's what I'm saying.
It's 30.
And that's the market.
And it's not, and look, the salary cap ain't doing nothing but going up.
Eventually the next market is when Tertan and them come back up, horn, it's going to be $36 million a year for the highest paid corner.
So like, into the day, 30, it may not seem like a deal now, but.
That 30 is a deal right now.
It's a deal.
He stays there for the next.
You had that deal for the next three years.
In three years, it's going to be 42.
You know what I'm saying?
It's like it's going to be going up crazy
to where every new corner that's getting up to that deal
is going to start resetting the market, resetting the market.
And in three years, we've sitting at 42 million
highest paid corner and Joey sitting at 30.
We'd be looking like, okay, bet.
Now we stole it.
Like, just don't, like, why did we wait this long, bro?
Like, we could have got this done before any of these deals got done.
I know.
Like, any of these deals,
stills got done. And we wait all the way until after training camp is over with to even send
an official offer? Come on, man. I think when you're going in, I was hoping that they were thinking
that you're going to get the biggest one done at the end, but that's what it's, that's the only way.
You got, you got to think about this. And then, like, the guarantees now, dude, you got a hundred and two
guarantee over here, bro.
101 and 102.
They got a hundred and two guarantee.
And if you're looking at, what's his name,
horn, he got 70 guarantee.
Mm-hmm.
You got it.
What?
83, 80, close to 90 for a guarantee.
If, man.
See, and like, her, her contract was 100 mil
with 42, 42 guarantee.
I don't think this
Right, so you're basically looking at what
A signing bonus in a year, a two years?
Yep
A sign the bonus in a year.
So basically you're looking at two years after that.
Two years.
That's it.
Two years.
Yeah.
Because it's 50s is two years.
Signed bonus is 20 million.
Okay.
So it's two years.
Yes.
Based that year, you get the other rest of the second year.
You get 22, boom.
And now, yep.
Now you to the.
ball out or?
No, that's only two years.
No, no, he's signed four, right?
That's what I'm saying, Odebo.
It's ball out.
He had one left on there, so it's really five, as you said.
Yes.
So he got three left.
When I'm saying ball out, when I'm saying ball out with Herbic, it means now you don't have any
guaranteed money.
So you're getting paid $20 million a year to continue to continue to
continue to ball because there's no guarantee left there.
You know what I'm saying?
So they can come.
You start not playing well.
They can always, no, we're going to let you go.
You got to re-restructure.
Right.
But also you can go in there and ball, ball, ball.
Now you're at the top of your game.
I'm ready to go.
And you still got three left.
Yeah.
And like you said, he did it for what, a 20, 25 piece in the top is 50.
By time, that time, come around the top might be 60.
And he had a 25 piece.
Yeah.
And he could be the top.
But yeah.
Yeah.
We're going to see.
Behind every night spent making the kids' lunches, there's a lot of suspense.
Will they finally eat the veggies?
Will the pastos survive the first bite?
Will the lunchbox come home empty, half full, or come home at all?
And will you finish episode 8 before you're done slicing the cucumbers?

You know the feeling.
You make a pick in your fantasy draft in the entire room groans
because they wanted that player.
Or you grab a small school rookie off waivers
and you start him right before he goes off in primetime.
There's no better feeling than crushing your fantasy football league.

The U.S. Open is back.
That's right.
Two weeks of incredible, exciting tennis.
Some outrageous overreactions from players
and some hot takes from people who have, let's face it,
no idea what they're talking about,
but it's okay because I'm here for them and you.
I'm Renee Stubbs, and on the Renee Stubbs Tennis podcast,
I'll be breaking down everything that happens after big matches,
who's playing the best tennis,
who looks like they could possibly win this tournament,
the surprise runs, the heartbreaking exits,
and all the drama that only the US Open can deliver.
Coco looking real good.
Her serve looks so much smoother than it has in the past.
I was really happy to see Eager back to what she looked like a couple of years ago when she was winning dominantly.
Listen, I'm going to let Venus decide when she wants to retire.
I'm going to let the tournaments decide when they don't want to give her a wild card
because she still puts bums in seats.
She still sells and people love to see her play.
You always say on this show that this is the best predictor of who will do well at the O'S Open.

Yeah, we're going to see, man.
Coving the Life back again.
Fitted dollars.
Oh, love it.
Appreciate you.
Appreciate you.
She said, Joe, with that outfit, I'm convinced you're not just a sports fan anymore.
What?
You're the commissioner of all sports.
Go ahead.
Tank, purple hat, shades and chain.
You came dressed like Game 7 and Super Bowl.
Sunday at the same time.
Come on, coveted.
That's what I'm saying.
I'm here for all sports.
Basketball, football, college, football, golf.
I'm here for it all.
You know what I'm saying?
That's why I'm a representation of a sports fan.
When I see me, you see me where the Lakers?
Where's the golf at?
Where's the golf at?
Got my golf hat right here.
But you ain't, you ain't have it on, Joe.
Because I can't just be rocking all sports every time.
I switch it up.
Dude, it's been golf.
summer. You ain't never put it on.
I have golf. I've wore this golf hat.
There you go. It's all good, Debo. You wasn't paying it to a coveted life as
recognized that I've been wearing some golf hats. This is not a golf hat. Basketball,
snapback, Lakers. So I switched the vibes up.
Oh, yeah. That's right. That's right. You're right. You're right. You might be right.
Mike you, Debo. I'm saying it might be. I'm not really just saying like you are.
It's all good. Man. I appreciate the love, Debo.
Mike. Mike, $105.
He said, what up, Debo and Joe?
Joe, did your league have your fantasy draft yet?
Which Stiller and Browns player did you get?
Which Stilers and Browns players did you get?
Oh, well, speaking, did you have your draft yet?
Yeah, I did.
Yes, I did.
And I ended up getting, on my receivers, I ended up getting Concepcion and I got Denzel
Boston.
Mm.
Mm-hmm.
Boston and Concessionian.
Mm-hmm.
And then in my other-
Who throwing the ball?
Who throwing the ball?
I got Josh Allen as my quarterback.
Oh, love.
Yep.
But your guys still got to get numbers
where they're really at, though, right?
No, no, no.
I mean, yeah, yeah, yes, yes.
Okay, so like I said,
who's throwing them the ball
so that you can get the numbers for
Austin and Concepcion?
That might have been a mistake.
Right now, right now, they're not my starting receivers, though.
That's what I'm saying.
I got them on the squad, but they haven't starting yet.
So who are your starters, Joe?
Who am I starting receivers?
Yeah.
Jackson Smith and Jigba.
Can you just take whoever you want?
Oh, yeah, yeah, for sure, because it's a draft.
It's 12 teams.
So you get to go through, it's literally like the draft.
You go 1 through 12, and then it goes back 11 to 1.
Then it goes like that like a snake draft.
So you get the pick.
All the wide receivers, all the running back,
Bejohn Robinson is number one,
when number two,
Gibbs went number one,
then Jamar Chase,
went number three, then Puka.
So you want to get running backs, receivers.
Those go first.
The best ones, they go.
So you got to kind of figure out
then when you want to get your quarterback.
Quarterback kind of goes maybe third round.
Josh Allen was the first quarterback taken.
I went and got him because he gets rushing yards,
brushing touchdowns, and passing yard.
Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Why would you draft the receiver first instead of the quarterback?
Because quarterbacks, there's a lot of quarterbacks, and quarterbacks all get yards.
So no matter what, if you pick Matthew Stafford, he's going to go a little bit later in the draft
because all quarterbacks still can throw for 300 yards, three touchdowns.
But when you get a receiver that's going to snap a number one receiver, he's getting the ball
basically every week and it's going to ball for you.
And that's what I don't know.
It's running backs and receivers.
are the best people to get for fantasy,
you can get your quarterback a little bit later.
That's just what people have taught me.
Okay.
I don't know.
Because you don't understand.
I'm going to check that out, man,
because I don't understand that.
I think the chat will understand
that if they play fantasy,
if they play fantasy.
Okay.
Jackson Smith and Jigba.
What still those players you got?
I got, uh,
see, look, this is,
because look,
the thing is sometimes when the players that you want
are going to,
he ain't got no Steelers.
He ain't got no Steelers.
I do.
I do.
I do. I got D.K. I got D.K. McHath on one of my leagues, and I got the Steelers defense.
Okay.
Yep. So my receivers are Jackson Smith and Jigba. I got J. Dub from the, from the Lions.
Okay.
You know what I'm saying? Boom. And Higgins, T. Higgins.
You going with enemies?
Listen, D.bo.
What is you doing?
Sometimes I just, look, not, but I got to go with the best players.
He was the least left.
Heings is nice.
You ain't got, you.
You ain't got, you.
I do have loyalty.
No, you don't.
But I need you.
No, you know, man.
Man, I got a little bit.
Only thing you got to do, Joe, is stay black and die.
That's it.
I hear you.
That's it, Joe.
I told you what my mama said.
Huh?
I told you what my mama said.
That's what my mama said.
Blacks.
My mama said.
My mama said, you got.
Mama said, mama say, kamakusa.
Hey, hell.
Heckelsane, $5.
He said, four-year deal at $220 million plus $220,000.
Huh?
120 million.
He said a four-year deal at $120 million plus $20K performance based incentives.
We're going to have to go more than that.
Oh, he's saying $20 million, I guess.
Yeah, yeah.
$20 million.
Ain't nobody going to do no $20 million.
No.
make base incentives to make the deal.
$35 million deal.
Joe, well, Joey Porter, Jr., J.P.J.
has to earn the extra five, it would be five mil.
I think he's saying five mil a year.
100 million guarantee 30 base.
Hey, listen, I like it.
I love the deal.
We, we don't know where around.
saying the same
man
yes what you're saying
if that was after we already
know he would have signed that because
we know where he wanted to be
we're taking that for sure
right 30 60 90-90
20 yes 4 for 120
is unbelievable they would have him
for five year
124 million good to go
easy signing that
goodness
we got
I think it's too L-K
Cal, $5.00.
Said, yo,
what's good?
Been watching y'all since day one.
Yep.
Don't always make the lie,
but I be watching.
But where do you think
the Steelers defense will rank
with 18?
By week 18.
By week 18.
Mm-hmm.
I can't give you,
I can tell you where I want them to rank.
One.
I can give you a better hypothesis
because I'm going to get some education in the process
watching them for four weeks
where I feel like they'll be ranked.
Right now, I feel like minimum as a stiller,
as a organization, as the Pittsburgh Steelers,
as what the Steelers
have been known for, and that's good deal, minimum is your top 10.
That's a prerequisite for me.
Yep.
Same for me too.
I feel like top five, top 10 is done, but top five, when we talk about the other two
defenses, I'm looking at Houston and I'm looking at Denver, and I think that we should
be able to, as far as talent-wise, name base, we should be able to stand up right there with
them.
Nobody should be able to take advantage of us.
They have to earn everything they get.
If there's no bust, if there's nobody running Scott-free through our defense,
then you're going to have to earn everything you get.
And I don't know how with T.J., with Cam, with Highsmith, with Herbic,
with that D-line, and with Houston's defensive line,
I don't see, like when we go name-for-name ball for ball.
I like to see us out there consistently playing at a high level.
So I see us in top five when the dudes are out there, name-wise, balling.
secondary, Jalen Ramsey,
Sean,
the new corner we got,
Sean Dean,
and then Jalen Ramsey,
and then we got my boy
that's playing.
Asante Samuel Jr.,
he's still first round pick
balling and playing to his
level that he's capable of playing at.
It could get ugly,
but we still got to make sure
they still got to go out there
and play the game.
The same way with the Rams,
talking all of this,
who, on paper, on paper,
you want to have a good on paper
because obviously you know,
you've seen them do it before.
You know they have potential to be great.
So you obviously need
have it on paper, but they got to show it to you, like, do it throughout the season.
So on paper, five, top five, for show, but you got to come, you got to show it.
I would, on a realistic tip, I guess I would say just from what I've seen, as long as we can
calm down or be more consistent on not letting big plays get through.
Rather it be runs or passes, I'm feeling,
I'm feeling our worst case should be maybe a seven.
I'm feeling best case, three.
Yeah.
Three.
You make a good point.
It's run defense and big explosive plays on offense,
I mean, in the past game.
Like, just don't let burst.
Don't we having those wide-up in gaps.
It's some, just, just,
win like every single play.
It's no like, oh, because the thing is,
sometimes we can't tell it's not bad.
It's one person getting beat on this play.
Then the next play, somebody else gets beat.
It's the consistency of just doing your job,
staying in your gap.
You know what I'm saying?
Then it'd be two-yard gains, one-yard gains.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, just that is what it is.
Don't let some gap be busting wide open.
Everybody gaps being in control of your stuff.
Yeah, you can't, you can't get pushed off the ball.
you can't get pushed around.
You can't get stuck on blocks.
You have to be able to work off your block, make the play.
If you're doubled, you got to hold that double.
You can't get pushed back.
You can't let them rub double up to stuff.
And then if they do double, we got to get them linebackers coming down
and get off that double as fast as they can so he can get singled up.
You get singled up and y'all both get gapped out.
Yep.
Yeah, I'm...
We know we're hopeful.
But Debo, you know, that's, we know, we know you got to see it.
We know what we're hopeful.
We know what we want to see.
But then now you've got to go do it.
So we can't just be like, okay, yeah, I know we're looking for it.
Can't be letting people do this.
But that's the thing.
When we're watching these games, we're looking for what's going on, not just, what
the hell going on?
It's like, no, no, no.
We got to watch and see who the hell is getting beat.
Why is this going on?
Do you know what I'm saying?
Right.
Right.
Right.
Yeah, you got to sit.
Well, see, we got a better.
understanding of what's going on.
You're like, yo, that's either this or that.
I don't know.
It's one, but it's this or that.
Yes.
And I think that's being able to be a critique and it's not like we're just bashing.
When you know, because you played the position, you know where you should be on certain
spots.
Is this your, are you peeking?
Are you doing the wrong things?
Like, those are individual things where it's discipline, where you can just literally say,
you're not talking trash.
You're like this.
I've been where you are at.
You need to not be in here peeking and letting them.
man, get on the outside.
That's what he ran for 20 fucking yards.
I'm not talking trash.
I'm just telling you what it is.
Like, that's not okay.
Do your job and then help your partner.
Don't sit there being nose.
He's trying to make a play that ain't yours before it's time for you to try and make
that play after he has already got past where he can get back to you.
You out here piccabooing.
No, ain't no peekaboo, man.
That's the worst thing in the world.
Come on.
When you peekable as a delineman, you're killing your linebacker.
You're killing.
Whichever way you go, go decisive.
Go some way so I know I can make you right.
Yes, even if you go wrong, go wrong 100%.
So then I know I got to correct you here instantly.
So you got you shuffling.
Now I'm shuffling.
Now both of us looking crazy.
Yeah, yeah, facts.
Facts, bro.
Look here, baby.
We got football tomorrow.
We got football Thursday.
Yeah.
Okay.
Look here.
We got Debo and Joe Friday.
Yes.
And and listen, you better be here.
You better be here.
You better do what you need to do.
Because Friday.
Friday going to be given away two sets of two tickets to the Pittsburgh Steelers home opener.
Yes.
Atlanta.
Get high.

Yes, sir, yes, sir, yes, sir.
Had them in the building.
