A team like Seattle that has really good leadership. has a really good coach, has a really good defense, is being able to bring in a first round talented player. If he gets all of his stuff cleared for a veteran minimum that can be maybe a starting cornerback in this league, these are the teams that could take it to where they're like,

okay, if the NFL figures out the stuff that's going on legally, if he's able to legally play, we can get this first round pick from Alabama, which Nick Saban has stood up for, vouched for him, and being a good person, all this stuff. Let's see what happens legally what the NFL is going to do with it. But for Seattle, we're trying to win a Super Bowl, and he's not, he's a piece,

but we don't need him to come and be our starting corner like that. We're, our team is good with or without him. But if we can get a first round talent at a rookie, at a vet minimum contract, let's see what's going on over here. So I think there's certain teams that could do this with the leadership, with the coaching staff, which is the way that they run their stuff.

And he's not like a, oh, we need him to come here now and start and do all of this. No, no, no, we can get us. Joe, I understand what you're saying, Joe, but you're not realizing the whole robbery and kidnapping thing. This man got a whole trial to go through. And they still haven't said if he is going to be on the commissioner's exempt list, like, this is very, very situational on a lot of things.

Like, why would you even go in and put that in there? Like, I ain't go lie, bro. It's starting to make me think that all the stuff they're talking about with the robbery and kidnapping, you know, maybe it ain't as crazy. I mean, field and locked as they're trying to believe it is. Maybe Seattle got some information or maybe the lawyer might, I mean, it could be a common lawyer. Like, yeah, this ain't this, this ain't that, da, da, da, it could be a combination of both. But I don't see a team coming in here talking about, hey, we're going to bring you in here.

And on top of that, they're saying that they believe he'll be allowed to practice and play through the preseason. You know, I know, I know they got the. the Witherspoon situation over there, you know, contract talks and all that other other stuff, you know, but this is not something that you can use as a threat. Like, you got a guy that could possibly be getting locked up, locked up. You know what I'm saying? And his next, a court appearance ain't until October 5th. So if they say, hey, we're not allowing this until you get cleared up.

And then if they say we are allowing this and then they go and he go down. due to a court appearance, he'd go through the process. And he actually did do it. They go look crazy. So they're going to have to air. I'm believing if I'm the commissioner. I'm going to have to error on the side of, hey, you got to sit down, man. They got a whole little thing over here.

Like, we can't make like we just turn the blind ears to that. Yeah. No, I'm with you, Debo. But I was just saying this with the Seahawks, if the NFL got to do something. So he's going to, I think, like you said, too, it may not be as wild as it looks, because if you're saying the same thing if Seattle's going to go in there and they probably they've done their due diligence, I would think. You know what I'm saying?

So we're just going to see what the NFL does with it. But if you're a mob like this and they think that he can get out there and play for the league minimum, I could see how Seattle did it. Okay. Well, we'll see how that situation pans out in his next appearance here, I guess, October. Time will tell. Time will tell. Jerry Jones said he is very happy with the Cowboys post Micah Parsons trade.

As the one-year anniversary of the Cowboys trading Micah Parsons approaches, Jerry Jones said he couldn't be happier. Even though Micah's an outstanding talent, anybody would like to have, the bottom line is that I like the result of the trade has ended up as I stand here today. Jones compared the trading Micah to trading Herschel Walker back in 1989. He said you could say those picks got us key players, but the main thing that the Herschel Walker trade did is cause me to be more aggressive and caused us to, if you will, make more risk, take more risk because we had more picks. He said, I don't understand this one, but he said it's like, going to Vegas with some extra money in your pocket or going out there with the baby's new pair of shoes and formula money in your pocket.

You can't be as good a crapshooter as you are when you've got the baby's new pair of shoes throwing out there with it. So he's saying you can't, I don't know what he's saying. But anyway, in that, I don't know. But in that. In that process, bro, that's some old stuff right there. That's older than me. I know, like, the baby's new shoes. Your baby needs some new shoes.

You know how they're old heads. Hey, bro, listen, look, looking back now, you think the Parsons trade has paid off of them. I think it made them get some, like you said, more depth. Quentin Williams is going to be a baller. Michael Parsons at the end of the day, he's hurt. You know what I'm saying? So you would have had a player on your team that you were paying $43, $44 million a year

that isn't able to give you that star those 16 sacks per season. So him being hurt and then Quinn Williams being healthy being able to be out there to play, him being able to have draft capital that can play. It's not, yeah, it doesn't not make sense. You know what I'm saying? And especially if you did make the trade and you're seeing what's going on, I think Jerry Jones is speaking a little. He's speaking facts.

I'm going to say, I think he got great value in the trade. But to say it paid off, I think that's still yet to be determined because he did get Quinn Williams. He got Coon Williams. He used one of his first and a second that they had of their own. And then they drafted, what, is it Lawrence,

what's his first name? Anything of his name right now? They drafted him with the 23rd pick and this year's draft that they're extremely high on. So if Lawrence pays out and, you know, they're hoping it does

and Williams continues to do what he's been doing the last couple years, then I think the defense will be better as a whole with the addition of these two guys that they got in that trade

than they were with just Parsons there. And, you know, that's what you're trying to do anytime you make a trade. You know, whether it's offense, defense, you're trying to make your offense or defense better as a whole unit, you know, and make your team better. And the better your team is, better offenses, better defenses, the more wins you get, the more games you get, you know, and you advance in that process. And a lot of these trades, too, is not just the instantly you can tell who won or who lost. Like, it's going to have to play out for a couple of years to see how

Micah Parsons does with the Green Bay, how their team ends up jelling. With the picks that you got, what do you end up getting? How do they end up playing? So it's not just an instant. One year happened, okay, we traded Micah because you got picks. Dallas is going to have to develop to see what comes out of that Micah Parsons trade. And then Green Bay still, you got him for a while. He did get hurt this year.

Let's see when he comes back. You still got a couple more. You still got time to see actually who won. So just off the rip, when somebody's down and the other people are healthy with draft picks, like, okay, right now, it looks like you may be up. But like, let's see. Let it keep playing for the next, like, this year, next season.

If we're sitting as it is right now with Micah getting hurt and you picking up the guys that you got, yes, I would have to say that you are, it's paid off so far as we sit here today. Because if the situation stayed the same, you pay him and then he ended up getting hurt with you, then you shouldn't. traded them, then you would. Well, if they had that opportunity and left it on a table with the two, yes, definitely they would be sitting there looking like a mule toothed glue.

And get missing. You know, on defense, I'm giving you three series. I want to see y'all go out there. And, you know, I would love for it to be three, three and outs, but then I got to put you out.

You get an understanding of their constant. They get an understanding of our concepts, and we go against theirs. They go against ours, and you execute what you do the best you can.

That's why I like it because we went out there as an offense and we executed the best we could. And I feel like it could have got better.
