Yeah.
The Chargers dominate the Jets.
How's that, Wilson, look tonight?
You know what?
I'm hurting.
I'm hurting.
I'm hurting for the Jets in its entirety,
not just Zach and his performance.
It's very difficult to perform at a very high level
when the supporting cast around you,
especially the most important part around you,
is the offensive line.
And you need the offensive line to be adequate
in order to be efficient at the quarterback
position. With that being said,
come again?
I was going to ask you, why do you ask
more from the offensive line than you ask from the quarterback?
You make every excuse.
I have a question.
I have a question. When you
run it, right, and you got to run
somewhere, and if your shoe is not
tied, you won't be able to run
because you're going to trip over yourself.
So the opposite line is the shoes
and the shoelaces.
Okay, you hear me?
The opposite line are the shoes
and the shoelaces.
And if the shoes ain't on
and ain't tied right,
your ass ain't going no goddamn where.
Ocho, you grew up kind of like I did.
Yes, sir.
What happened when your shoes
got too small for your feet
and you didn't have no money to get none
and you got to walk around in them two little-ass shoes?
You cut the toe out.
You cut the toe out.
Mm-hmm.
And you see, that's what Zach Wilson is.
The shoe that's too small.
Yeah.
They're just hurting all the rest of the...
The special teams hurting.
Yeah.
The defense hurting.
Yeah.
The fans hurting.
And you see, it starts to wear.
You see Robert Sala.
He's not saying much.
He's not really saying anything, but it's body language.
The defense body language.
Ocho, you know how hard it is to keep trotting out there.
You force the offense to go three and out,
and then by the time you turn around and get a drink of water,
you got to go back in because your offense went three and out.
You know what?
Just to be honest, I'm not going to make any excuses.
Zach Wilson didn't play well.
Obviously, they didn't play well as a whole offensively.
But the Jets were sloppy in the first half.
Two lost fumbles.
The first drives of the game, you know, you want to set the tone early when you go into
a game.
This is what I'm thinking about when I was playing.
And Marvin Lewis used to say, you want to set the tone of the game early at the beginning and get some type of momentum and a little confidence in yourself offensively, especially for a quarterback. You want to be able to get into a rhythm early, whether it be the run, whether it be short passes, fumble, punt, punt. You ain't finna get nothing done like that. You're
not going to get nothing done like that when you can't get yourself or your offense into a rhythm.
Joey Bosa, sack, forced to fumble in the first half. I mean, the Chargers ended the game with
eight sacks, man. This is the NFL. Two forced fumbles, bubbles yeah this is the nfl eight sacks in one game
obviously at some point on the back of your jersey forget you playing for the team forget
you playing for the jets the name on the back of your jersey is enough and having pride and being
able to have a good showing individually out there it should be ojo it should be more than enough
because that's what you're doing.
You're trying to represent yourself.
You're trying to represent your family.
I think sometimes guys don't have enough.
Look, I was an undersized tight end,
but I was damned if I was going to let the defensive lineman
just beat me every snap.
I just had too much pride.
Yeah, I was undersized.
I was 228 pounds.
Going up against 275, 280.
That's it. That's it, bro. That's what I weighed was 228 pounds. Going up against 275, 280. That's it.
That's it, bro. That's what I weighed.
228. I played at 220.
He was only eight
more pounds than me. I didn't know that.
So, the big receiver,
Megatron, weighed more than I did.
Yeah.
Julio, I probably was a couple of pounds heavier than Julio.
Julio probably 225,
230, but I played the
majority of my career.
When they moved me from
wide receiver to tight end,
Ocho, I finished the season, I weighed
about 207.
For real?
Wait, how you lose all that weight that
fast, though?
I couldn't. You know, the thing is, the weight that fast, though? Bro, I couldn't.
You know, the thing is, the thing that you have to understand how to do is how to get your nutrition in and how to lift during the season. Right.
Because at some point in time, your shoulders are going to get sore, your elbows are going to get sore, and you got to find a way to try to keep some of that weight on.
Right.
And, you know, I didn't know anything about nutrition, didn't really know how to train like that
because, you know, you're practicing
and the days are coming up real quick.
But once I figured it out, I was good to go.
But, yeah, and it's frustrating because the Jets defense
and their special teams are good enough.
They're more than good enough.
And I think they're good enough in every position right now.
Honestly, Ochoa, I think the Jets are good enough
in every position
except the most important position.
And that's the problem.
The quarterback position.
Yeah.
It's hard to overcome that, Ojo.
It is.
It's very hard to overcome it,
but you got to remember,
the Jets have won the last three.
Obviously, they fell short tonight
against a good team.
And then on the standpoint
of the Chargers,
the Chargers are below.500. And this is a game that they needed to win. This is a game that they needed to win if standpoint of the Chargers, the Chargers are below 500.
This is a game
that they needed to win.
This is a game
that they need to win
if they're thinking about
getting to the playoff.
They were a playoff team last year.
And obviously,
the expectations
coming into this year
were to obviously
be a playoff team as well.
But obviously,
they haven't been playing
up to par.
Neither has Herbert
been playing up to par.
But it was a sloppy game it was a
sloppy game for the all around oh Joe you know the thing is is that we we be at some point time
we're gonna have to start judging uh Justin Herbert by his ability to win game and not be
an odd this talent right because if you look at his record right he's 29 and 28. He's a slightly above 500 quarterback.
That's what he is.
You can be an off and six foot four, rocket arm, great ability, can make all the throws.
But what his resume says, what his record says, he's one game above 500.
It's as simple as that.
So we've got to hold these guys.
Just like we do Dak Prescott, we hold them to, hey, we've got to hold these guys is that just like we do Dak Prescott,
we hold them to, hey, we've got to ask and demand that Justin Herbert be that same guy.
He's a one game above 500 quarterback for all the physical tools that he has.
And he is as physically gifted of a quarterback as we have him to lead
because he can make every throw.
On the move, rolling to his left, rolling to his right,
can make tight window throws, can get out of harm's way with his legs.
But as I say all of that, he's a game over.500.
Do you take into account some of the injuries that he's had
to affect the offense in general?
Mike Williams going down, Palmer going down.
Do you think that in any way sways the difference in the record that they do have
and with them being three and four coming into this game and now being four and four and being
able to squeeze out a win against a jets team but what we ask the really good quarterbacks to do is
to overcome that yeah you're right you're right we've asked them to overcome is he in the elite
conversation of the type of quarterback that you can put the you can have you can have injuries
and he can overcome those injuries based
on his play. Is he in a league
conversation though? Has he ever been in a
league conversation?
He has elite physical
skills.
Okay. But we haven't
seen him do it enough with the
consistency. Like I said,
look at the talent that they got.
Oh yeah.
Third best receiver in the league
as far as I'm concerned.
I mean, they got Keenan.
They got a lot of guys. They got tight ends.
Eckler is
a solid guy. He's not
no 6'3",
6'1", 6'2", guy running 4-4,
but he can catch the ball tonight
notwithstanding. Had a couple of drops tonight. Runs
with Pac. He's going to get the ball in the end zone.
He'll win you a lot of games if he's on your
fantasy team because he's going to find a way
to squeeze his way into the end zone.
But there's no reason that
the Chargers, over the last
several years, should have
been the way they are outside of the playoffs
or having a 27-0 lead.
You know, Justin Herbert did have a 27-0 lead.
He had a 27-0 lead.
So does he have elite physical tools?
Yeah.
Yes.
But elite, we ask elite players
to do it on a consistent basis.
Right.
And that's when.
And he hasn't done it on a consistent enough basis for me.
Before the game, Aaron Rodgers was on the field doing three step drops
seven weeks after Nikili's tendon surgery.
Rodgers is trying to return this season.
The Jets are currently 4-4 outside the AFC playoff picture.
What are your thoughts on A-Rod dropping back, planning, not hard,
but he is doing some soft toss,
spinning the football.
I like it.
I like it.
It's a testament to his rehab.
It's a testament to the science that he believes in,
the doctors that he works with.
But Aaron Rodgers and the thoughts of him
actually coming back to play this year,
it's ridiculous.
It's ridiculous.
You know, if you prepare yourself,
you prepare yourself for next year
because if you come back
and think you're going to come out here
after such a short amount of time
with an Achilles,
you're going to rupture it again
because you're going to be running.
You're going to be running for your life.
It's a ridiculous story.
I do like the enthusiasm
to want to come back and play
and show that you can recover
in a very, very fast way.
But you do yourself
more harm than good
and hurt the team even more.
So you think he should probably
temper it down a little bit
and wait until next year
because you think he'll do
more harm than good.
Yeah, and I don't think honestly,
I don't think we'll be coming back
to play this year anyway.
I think just giving the fans
excitement and the hope
that he could or that he would
is,
and there's a possibility of it,
but him actually doing it,
I don't think so.
I don't think so
because in such a short amount of time,
there are three injuries.
There are a few injuries
you don't want to play with
that you don't want to play with.
That Achilles.
Right.
Anything got to do with the hamstring.
Anything to do with the groin.
True.
Them three.
Yeah.
Don't play with sugar like that.
Don't do that.
Don't play with sugar like that, man.
Don't do that.
Man, let your body heal all the way right, man.
Also, ACLs.
All that trying to come back early and you know it's not stable and you don't feel stable.
Nah, man. don't do that.
Don't do that.
Bro, I saw Jerry Rice tear his ACL in week one in 97.
Right.
And he played against us week 13.
What?
Called two touchdowns.
You think it was a full tear or was it maybe MCL?
What you think?
They say they replaced it with a cadaver.
Yeah, so the same thing.
Basically the same thing that Aaron Rodgers got, right?
Well, I think they did.
What do they call that surgery that they did on A-Rod?
They reinforced it with something.
They just don't, the tendon.
Dr. Eletron, my producer producer is looking it up right now
I'm looking it up also
it's called a speed
bridge
so it's supposed
to speed the healing up
from anywhere between 2 and 4
months so normally what would be
a 9 to 12
month injury now you might be talking
somewhere 5 to 8 months that's still too much what would be a, you know, nine to 12 month injury. Now you might be talking somewhere
five to eight months.
Yeah, but that's still too,
that's still too much.
That's still too much.
I know technology is very, very,
very far in advance in this day and age.
But to say you're going to come back from
an ACL,
say you're going to come back from
a torn Achilles
in such a short amount of time.
I know science is beautiful,
but it's one thing about human nature.
Human nature do not play.
Human nature do not play.
Yeah.
You said science.
Aaron Rodgers believe in science?
Oh, let's leave that alone.
Let's leave that alone.
I believe, oh.
Let's leave that alone.
We gonna move it along.
Yes, sir.
Okay, how about this here?
The AFC Power Rangers.
You like the Ravens or you like the Chiefs at the top of the pie chart?
That's tough.
That's a tough one.
That's a tough one.
Listen, let me see.
Both teams are 7-2.
Patrick Mahomes, obviously, 17 TDs to Lamar Jackson, what, 9 TDs.
Yes.
The Ravens offense averaging 26 points a game.
The Chiefs offense averaging 26 points a game. The Chiefs offense
averaging 23 points a game.
The Ravens defense,
obviously, you know,
the best in the league
only allowing 13 points a game.
I'm not sure what
the Chiefs defense allows,
but if I was leaning
towards a team
as far as the best
in the AFC right now,
I'm going to go,
and it pains me to say this,
and I'm just,
where they are right now,
what I consider the midway point in the NFL,
power ranking for the AFC at the top right now is the Ravens.
And that hurts.
That hurts me to have to admit that,
because you know my allegiance is to the Bengals,
but what the Ravens are doing, not only offensively,
but what they're doing defensively in this era,
in this era is unheard of, man.
We in a past happy era,
if you run 100 plays and you play 14, 80 of them goddamn plays is through the air. in this era is unheard of, man. We in a past happy era,
if you run 100 plays,
you play 14,
80 of them goddamn plays is through the air.
And you mean to tell me
you only allowing teams
13 goddamn points.
13?
Shit.
Listen, I love the Chiefs.
I love Patrick Mahomes.
I love what they've been able to do.
He's a two-time Super Bowl winner.
He's an MVP winner,
as is Lamar Jackson.
But what Lamar and those Ravens are doing over there, man, is special.
And I can't wait.
And I know I'm going off track here a little bit.
I can't wait two more weeks.
Two more weeks.
You know who they're playing, right?
The Bengals go to the Ravens.
Thursday night football.
November 16th, if I'm not mistaken
I hate that
what?
I don't want them on a short week
that day should be on a full week of rest
they should play Sunday to Sunday
or Sunday to Monday
I have a question, you would know better than I do
can they flex that?
can they flex that to Sunday and change?
no you can flex that to Sunday and change? No.
You can flex out of Sunday.
You can't flex out of Monday.
So whatever the Monday game is.
No, it's Thursday, though.
It's a Thursday night game.
I mean, yeah, I'm saying you can flex out of a Sunday night.
Right.
And I think you can flex.
Can you flex out of Monday?
I don't think you can flex out.
I think it's just Sunday.
I think it's the NBC game.
Okay, okay.
That you can flex out of.
But you can't do anything with Thursday and Monday night.
I agree with you, Ocho.
Ravens are 7-2, run four straight.
They have a plus 115 point differential,
which is the biggest in football by a wide margin.
And here's the thing.
Just imagine how good the Raiders are going to be
when they eliminate the weekly 1-2 turnovers game.
Just think about that now.
To play a clean game.
Because we talked about it, Ocho,
is that when you turn the ball over,
you either raise the team up to your level
or you stoop down to their level.
Because if you're better than a team,
the only way a team can get up to your level
is you come down to theirs.
It's kind of like you're in a fight.
That's why Ocho is that when people,
when you're up here and you reach a certain level
and people take shots at you.
Steve Harvey told me this.
He's like, the only way they can hit me
if I come down to their level,
I'm so high up, they throwing up.
Right, right, right. It's hard to be accurate throwing up here. Yeah. But the only time they can hit me if I come down to their level. I'm so high up, they throwing up. It's hard to be
accurate throwing up here.
But the only time they can get me is when I come
down to their level. They can crack me upside my head.
When you
turn the ball over, you're better than a team,
you come down to their level. Now they can
get you.
When you think about it, and I look at it from this standpoint as well,
based on where they are right now,
another testament to where they'll be after the midway point is I look at it from this standpoint as well based on where they are right now. Another testament to where
they'll be after the midway
point is I look at the remaining schedules.
Obviously, the Chiefs have the Eagles.
We don't know what's going to happen there.
They got the Eagles, Raiders,
Packers, Bills, Patriots.
That's their five coming up.
That's their next...
Yeah, that's their five coming up.
Boom. Looking at the Ravens
the Ravens remain in schedule
on teams
or teams that they're gonna play
that are possible wins
they got the Browns
Bengals
that's a loss
they got the Chargers
Rams
Jaguars
so out of that
that's four games
you can
the Ravens
the Ravens
the Ravens
got their mind
on the number one seed
yeah
most definitely
right now
based on
their next their next five games,
they're going four and one.
They're going four and one in the next five games.
So they're going to be sitting real nice and pretty.
But come November 16th, they're probably going to lose that one.
They ain't losing that one.
The Baltimore want the road to Las Vegas to go through
has to take a detour through Baltimore.
So in order to go west, you got to go.
You got to go.
You got to go.
Well, theoretically, Baltimore is the south because it falls below the Mason Dixon line.
Although they don't want to believe that they don't want to think they're in the south.
They are.
But they want instead of just going west, have it go through the Midwest,
Kansas,
Kansas city,
Cincinnati.
It's like,
nah,
come on to the side.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So,
uh,
it's going to be very interesting,
but that schedule,
they have a very favorable scary.
Although the Jags,
the Jags ain't nothing to be played with.
Jags ain't nothing to be played with,
but you know what it come down to?
If you,
if you play chess,
if you play a game of chess,
it's all about being able to make the best move with the pieces that you have.
You look at the chessboard,
I'm talking about the rosters of the teams.
You look at how they match up.
The Jaguars are good,
but it's one thing about the Ravens.
Defensively, across the board.
Offensively,
we can argue about the quarterbacks.
Two different playing styles.
We can argue about the receivers.
Obviously, I would give the edge
to Calvin Ridley
and what they have over there.
Offensively, but
the Ravens is special, man.
The Ravens is special.
They showed that since week one.
And I'm not taking anything away
from the Jaguars
and what they've done so far this season
because Trevor Lawrence
has been spectacular.
Travis Etienne has been spectacular. Travis Etienne has been spectacular.
Calvin Ridley has been good.
But the Ravens, man, it's just different.
It's not like they're going to come and play the Jaguars
and then the Ravens that are allowing only 13 points a game,
all of a sudden they're just going to fall apart.
That's not going to happen because as the season goes on,
you continue to get better.
The chemistry, you gel to get better. The chemistry,
you gel that much better
offensively,
I mean, defensively.
And all you got to do
is read and react.
Read and react.
It's extremely,
I don't want to say it's simple.
I'm not going to do that.
But you know what I mean.
Yeah.
Ocho, today,
I had a great time.
First take was on the road
at my alma mater,
Savannah State.
And they laid out the red carpet for me.
They had a big old welcome sign
as soon as I turned onto
the campus. They had all these
monitors and showing a lot
of my career, some of it at Denver,
some of it at Savannah State.
And when I got
to the arena, the student
body and all the
athletic teams and the band and the major
everything it was just it was just so great to know that my school um one of their homes they
could see because what that does is that it lets them know that he saw these classes that we saw.
Yeah.
And look where he got.
Yeah.
We can achieve anything.
We can,
we can get to anywhere because if he did it and that's what it was with my
brother,
I saw everything that my brother did.
He ate the same food.
Right.
He slept in the same raggedy house that I did.
If he got a college scholarship,
I could,
if he can go to the NFL, I can.
If he can make millions, I can.
That's how I thought about it.
And hopefully that was some,
the kids got an opportunity,
the student got an opportunity
and they get some kind of motivation,
some type of inspiration and say,
you know what?
One of our own from Savannah State.
Because if you look at it,
Ocho,
three of the most prominent
voices on morning television
attended HBCUs.
Yeah.
Myself,
Michael Strahan,
and Stephen A.
Yeah.
So,
if that's not,
if that's not
inspirational
or aspirational enough,
I don't really know what else.
But to have them there,
man,
it was,
man,
the building was electric. Yeah, I saw it. It was absolutely electric. But to have them there, man, the building was electric.
It was absolutely electric.
Especially when you came in.
They was hype.
They had me excited.
You boy was hype.
I just thought about something, too.
You had the opportunity
to have your brother on the show.
That was live. That was live. I haven't had the opportunity to see your brother on the show. That was live.
I haven't had the opportunity to see
or meet Sterling before.
That was
a great moment, man, to be able to see him, to have
him share that moment with you
was awesome.
My sister was there.
My high school coach was there.
One of the professors that taught me
developmental studies was there. high school coach was there one of the uh one of the professors that taught me um developmental studies was there uh dr green um some of my classmates some of the guys that
came in with me we call our class 86 because we all came in in 1986 and to see some of those guys
and to get back because i don't get an opportunity to get back much i don't see them much right
my homeboy uh bucket he was the first one.
Bucket was the one that had the club Shea Shea hoodie on. That's Bucket.
Big Daddy, Pastor Ford.
I told him, I said, you know what, Big Daddy,
I ain't going to call you. We ain't going to call you Big Daddy.
We're going to call you Pastor Ford out of respect.
But you know.
I know. I know.
But it was really great to get back
and see the student body and
they turned up. So SSU, I really thank you for the love and support that you've given me.
Since I attended Savannah State, went in in 1986, got my degree in 1991,
and all the love and support that you've given me ever since then.
So thank you, thank you, thank you.
Let's jump into this.
Chase Young said, it's a different vibe with the 49ers.
I'm in the building with winners.
And my only question, what does the 49ers want, Ocho?
Maybe I missed it.
I'm going to give a story to the game.
You have to understand what he's saying.
From a player standpoint, he's on a winning team,
a winning team of a team that is always in contention year in and year out.
They haven't won a Super Bowl.
It's been a very, very, very, very, very long time since they –
oh, sorry about that.
Hold on.
94.
Yeah, it's been a very long time since they, oh, sorry about that. Hold on. 94. Yeah. It's been a very long time since they won the Superbowl.
But what he, what he did go to is he went to a team come hell of high water.
They're going to be in contention year in and year out.
And I think being in that atmosphere, it's different.
It's a different feel when you walk into that locker room and know that, you know what?
We got a chance to do something special.
I'm a part of something that is consistent and aligned with winning.
And for that, I mean, that's why he said what he said.
And obviously, we know what the outcome was over in Washington.
They just haven't been aligned with those same principles and values
or opportunities to win in a very long time.
I think the thing is is the stuff with the
owner and all the black cloud that was hanging over that organization i i think it started to
wear on them this what transpired this summer with the sale of the team probably should have
happened a lot sooner um but it's it's tough, I've been in a situation I hadn't lost.
I mean, I did lose some, I didn't win every year.
We didn't make the playoffs, but I can just imagine, um, being in a situation where like
week four, week five, you're like, man, I see is no way.
Yeah.
We ain't got no chance.
Hey, you think, you think players tap out?
Well, I think it's hard. It's the hardest
thing to do
is to stay mentally focused
when your
quarterback is not at the park
because you know what a chance with
that guy. Even if you don't
have the greatest special teams or you don't have
a Devin Hester or Dante Hall
or you don't have the greatest defense, it doesn't have
to be 85 Bears, 2,000 Ravens,
or one of these historic great defenses.
But when you have that guy, he gives you – you don't hope to win.
You expect to win.
And that's the difference.
See, the Jets, they have hope.
If our defense don't give up X amount of points, they get pick six.
They get scooping scores
we get a return see you hoping right now kansas city don't hope right they expect joe burrow don't
hope they expect you see the difference yeah but when you when you look at it when you look at the
landscape of the nfl there are 32 teams how many how many nfl teams out of that 32 expect to win
based on the quarterback play there are very few quarterbacks in the NFL
where you know going into every game
we expect to win. Mahomes,
Burrow,
Josh Allen,
Lamar Jackson,
Jalen Hurts.
Okay, where we at after that?
Where we at after that? Think about it.
I mean, realistically,
let's think about it. It's a toss-up.
I mean, I think right under that,
based on what they've done,
under Dan Campbell,
we got the Lions.
Jared Goff.
We got Goff.
You expect to win.
It's based on what you're doing so far
and how that organization has turned around.
Right.
Yeah.
And it's always been like this.
People want to make it seem like, oh, no, there was always only a handful of quarterbacks in the NFL.
Yeah. There was always like the elite. You had five or six guys. You had your Elways, your Marinos, your Montanas.
You had those guys special. And then, you know, you had you had some guys that were on teams that were really good and they got elevated.
But right now, it's the same way.
There's only a handful of guys
that you go out there
and their team expect to win.
And like you said,
I think you ran off
a couple of the names.
I look at Ocho
and the thing is that I got,
I was a free agent in 2000
and I went to the Ravens
and I won my third Super Bowl
in four years.
Damn.
You're lucky, man. But the way I approached it,
the way I approached it, Ocho,
is that they didn't care that I won.
I mean, what did me having seven Pro Bowls,
you know, I went to seven Pro Bowls in eight years.
I was a four-time first-team All-Pro.
I ain't doing none of that for the Ravens.
Right.
I needed to go in there and
show them how and why i was there right how and why i was able to be one of the predominant voices
in the locker room and to win and so that's what you do you don't go in and thank you better than
anybody else because you at that point in time you had accomplished more than anybody else well
let me show you what i do i'm in the the weight room. On Tuesdays on my day off,
I'm over here getting it in. I'm
prepared. Watch the way I
eat. I bring my food because
that way, because see, when you go to
the cafeteria, that was before they had
everybody had these, they got chefs
now and they'll prepare your salmon and
they'll prepare whatever. I say
and they ask me, they say, well, Shannon, why do you bring your
food? I say, I bring my me, they say, well, Shannon, why do you bring your food?
I say, I bring my food because this food
is prepared for one.
They're preparing food
for 200.
So they're going to put salt,
they're going to put this,
they're going to put that.
I know exactly
to the amount
of how much carbs
is in there,
how much protein,
how much fat,
how much everything
to the umpteenth degree.
Yeah,
that was a little different.
I was a little different, but it worked for you.
I mean, you did what worked for you,
and I did what worked for me, but.
Ocho, I used to, Ocho, I was worse than you, Ocho.
What do you mean?
I mean, my rookie year, I ate fast food every single meal.
Okay, that was me.
I ate Burger King for breakfast.
It normally like Kentucky Fried,
or some bull jive for lunch.
And I grab Dairy Queen on the way home.
Why you stop though?
Because if it's not broke,
if it's not broke,
no need to fix it.
It was broke.
And then once I cleaned up my diet,
I went to seven straight,
I went to eight,
seven straight Pro Bowls
and four first team All-Pros.
Well, shoot,
I went to six Pro Bowls
and I went to four,
I had four first team All-Pros
on McDonald's.
You know, see, again, it will work
for you. It worked for you.
It's funny.
It's
hard. I mean, there's too much research
and science, but we're not going to get it.
That's another day.
That's another day.

In the fall of 1986, Ronald Reagan found himself at the center of a massive scandal that looked like it might bring down his presidency.
Did you make a mistake in sending arms to Tehran, sir?
No.
It became known as the Iran-Contra affair.
And I'm not taking any more questions in just a second. I'm going to ask...
I'm Leon Nafok, co-creator of Slow Burn.
In my podcast, Fiasco, Iran-Contra, you'll hear all the unbelievable details of a scandal that captivated the nation nearly 40 years ago, but which few of us still remember today.
The things that happened were so bizarre and insane, I can't begin to tell you.
Please do.
To hear the whole story, listen to Fiasco, Iran Contra on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Okay, let me ask you this.
Mid-season awards.
What's the scariest team right now in the NFL?
We're going to go AFC or the NFL?
NFL.
NFL.
NFL.
Scariest team.
Shoot, Ray Charles could see that.
Shit, the Ravens.
It hurts you to say that.
It hurt me to say that, but I'm going to be realistic.
I'm going to be realistic.
I'm not going to sit here and play around and try to make a joke.
It's the Ravens.
They are the scariest team in the NFL right now on both sides of the goddamn ball.
In two weeks, they're going gonna give y'all a death blow
that ain't gonna happen though i guarantee that ain't gonna happen listen the ravens are averaging
26 points points per game only allowing 13 i've already mentioned that mr lewis and nfl they are
their scariest team out there right now yeah most disappointing team i'm gonna say the chargers
i'm gonna say the chargers went to the playoffs last year. Obviously, they have high expectations. You said he looks like an elite quarterback, but he's not playing that way. He's, what, 29 and 28 as a starter for the Chargers. Obviously, losing Mike Williams and Josh Palmer, it was hurtful for them, you know, and impacting their offense. But again, when you have quarterbacks that look elite and you're expecting them to play to that level,
losing players at that magnitude, nothing should change
because we expect you to make up and overcome those injuries.
And they're 500 now, obviously, because of tonight's win.
But 4-4 at the midway point?
Or is it 5-4?
I think they're 5-4.
Yeah, they're 5-4?
What's the Chargers' record?
I thought they came in at 3-4. Am I tripping? 5-4. Yeah, they're 5-4? What's the Chargers' record? I thought they came in at 3-4.
Am I tripping?
They might be.
Because I don't think they've had their bye yet.
Okay, okay.
Because if they haven't had their bye, they played 8 games.
If they...
Huh?
They're 4-4.
So I was right.
I was right.
They were coming in 3-4, so now they're right at 500.
But I think it would be disappointing unless they just make this dramatic turnaround from here going forward and make the playoffs again.
But that would probably be my most disappointment because I expected them to be in the running the way I view and the standard that I hold, the eye test, the way Herbert looks and how I'm expecting him to play.
The team is just not looking like that.
For me, my most disappointing is Buffalo.
What?
And I know they got a winning record.
But I expect them to be better.
I mean, they've been selling us.
They've been selling us.
It's three quarterbacks in the league that
I mean basically
it's Josh Allen
it's Joe Burrow
and it's Patrick Mahomes
and Josh Allen
hasn't carried
hasn't carried
his weight
in that argument
and
and I said this today
on first take
we've got to stop
allowing Josh Allen
to live on those two games
that he played against
Patrick Mahomes
you remember that
divisional round
and they went back and forth and they went back and forth and he scored with that he played against Patrick Mahomes. You remember that divisional round?
Oh yeah.
And they went back and forth and it was back and forth that he scored with this many seconds and Patrick Mahomes come back and score.
And then he came back and score and Patrick Mahomes came back and score and
Patrick outdo it.
And it's like,
you know what?
We've got our next great,
great rivalry in the quarterback division and,
and the,
in the NFL.
And then the next year he he goes back to Kansas City
and he gets his revenge
because he take down Patrick Mahomes
in the Sunday night game.
And everybody says,
Josh Allen, Josh Allen.
But he allowed Cincinnati
to come in there and put a foot in it.
What you thought was going to happen?
I told you that.
I told you that weeks ago.
I said, when Joe Burrow gets back healthy,
it's going to be hell for the rest of the NFL.
No, no.
No, I'm talking about
last year in the playoffs.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Almost definitely.
That's what it's going to be. It's going to be like that from now on.
And Ocho,
he continuously
turns the effing ball over.
He's a turnover machine.
He got limited turnover because he's a gunslinger. He's a turnover machine. He got limited turnover
because obviously he's a gunslinger.
He's a gunslinger.
He has the arm strength
to be able to get away with it
like Brett Favre at times.
Sometimes you don't want to take
that willingness of a quarterback
of that magnitude
with the arm like that
because nine times out of ten,
most of the time,
he's going to make those throws
and create special plays
that are not textbook style plays. But right now, it's hurting to make those throws and create special plays that are not textbook-style plays.
But right now, it's hurting him.
And he is a turnover machine.
Some of the greatest quarterbacks
in the game were turnover machines
when they rely on their arm talent
to get them by.
You know what I'm saying?
I don't mind you.
Okay, go ahead.
No, you go first.
I was getting ready
to talk about another team
that would be an honorable mention
as the most disappointing.
But I'm going to let you finish yours.
But the thing is that there are risks and then there's unnecessary risks.
Right, right, right, right.
Why in the red zone will you take the unnecessary risk?
Why would you try to force a ball on first or second down when you don't have to?
That's the problem.
He's reckless with the football. And come playoff time, you start to play. As you go along, you play't have to. That's the problem. He's reckless with the football.
And come playoff time,
you start to play,
as you go along,
you play double for turnovers.
Yeah.
And it's so debilitating.
It so sucks the life out of you
because you're like,
oh, here we go,
and everybody's excited,
and the crowd's excited.
And then you're like,
ah, again, bro?
So he's going to,
but Milano going out,
Jadavious White going out,
has really done something to that defense.
Milano is the real deal, boy.
He was the real deal.
He was the real deal.
But what about this?
What about what you always say?
How you say field goals is not enough
and that'll get you beat.
No, no, no.
Kicking in the...
Turnovers
are even worse. Okay.
Because at least you get some points. Right.
Is that when you don't score, you get zero
points. And that's the
problem. And that's the thing with a turnover.
I mean, think about how many times last year
he turned the ball over in the red zone, in the end zone.
He was throwing picks in the end zone. Yeah.
He was fumbling the ball in the red zone.
So you're already in field goal position, and you turned the ball over.
That's very, very difficult to overcome.
Now, who are you going to say your honorable mention for most disappointed?
My honorable mention for teams that have been disappointing,
obviously, to the main point, I want to know your thoughts.
What about the Bears?
Obviously, they're last in NFC right now.
They're currently 2-7.
I'm not sure what their expectations were at the beginning of the season.
I mean, we're not condemning them
to have been a playoff team. Obviously,
Justin Fields going into his
third, it's his third year.
Fourth year. Fourth year. It's fourth
year already? God
damn, I'm getting old.
Third? It's third.
Okay, yeah. Well, don't scare me like that.
You adding years on my life.
Yeah, it's third year.
Obviously, your third year is your coming out year.
It's a year where you either arrive or you don't.
And I was expecting them, obviously, he's been hurt,
but I was expecting them to have a much better season
than what they're having.
Obviously, with Justin being injured,
it's kind of hard to make a fair assessment.
But again, they're still 2-7.
And for them, it's been very disappointing for me
because I'm waiting for them to have that turnaround game,
especially with their offseason acquisitions that they've had.
Well, I don't think it's going to try.
I mean, he broke his thumb or dislocated his thumb or something.
So, you know, and it's on his throwing hand.
It's hard to throw the football without the thumb.
I mean, first of all, you can't even play.
Yeah, I don't even know how throw the football without the thumb. I mean, first of all, you can't even play. Yeah.
I don't even know how you play football without a thumb.
And if it's broken, it's hard to do a whole lot of things without a thumb.
I mean, it can be done.
But probably playing sports at that level is probably not possible.
Let me ask you this.
Your most impressive coaching job.
Oh, this is easy.
The Michael Ryans.
Easy. Yeah, that's exactly where it goes. Yeah. Easy. Listen, he is easy. D'Amico Ryan's. Easy.
That's exactly where it goes. Easy.
He went to a Texan team.
A Texan team that are now 4-4, right?
Last year, defensively,
D'Amico Ryan's is a defensive-minded coach.
Defensively, they were ranked 27th. Now,
they're currently ranked 14th.
14th.
They already have four.
Obviously, they already have four wins, but nine remaining.
Man, C.J. Stroud.
C.J., whoever's responsible for drafting C.J. Stroud.
Man, may God bless you.
Man, that young fella, man, playing some goddamn ball, man.
Some goddamn ball as a rookie quarterback.
Acting like he been here before.
He been here before.
Like my grandma used to say.
I will agree with D'Amico Ryan being the most impressive coaching job.
Who's your most surprising player?
This one should be an easy one too, Ocho.
Most surprising player?
So rookie, veteran, it doesn't matter?
In general, throughout the whole league?
It doesn't matter.
Yep.
All right. You say it should be easy it should be easy you just spoke his name cj shroud yes okay okay okay yeah but what do you yeah i'm gonna say because what are you doing as as as a
quarterback as a rookie on a team that hasn't had any success at that position outside of my dog outside of Deshaun Watson.
And he is playing the most stupid 500 goddamn yards.
He had five touchdowns as a rookie.
As a rookie.
Yeah.
Who's your honorable mention?
Honorable mention?
And you love this guy too.
This your guy.
All you was doing for like the first five weeks of the season.
This all you talked about.
Puka.
Oh,
Puka Nakua.
Hey,
hey,
hey,
Puka,
Puka,
Puka been balling.
That's your guy.
Yeah,
that's my guy. And I have a great question. And I'm going to say what Puka has been doing has been balling. That's your guy. Yeah, that's my guy.
And I have a great question.
And I'm going to say what Puga's been doing has been fucking phenomenal.
But is Puga that good or is he a product of his system?
That's a great question that I'd like to ask you because you would know better than I.
When I think about the NFL in general, I look at your Gary Wilson's and your Calvin Ridley's
and
come on, slipping my mind, the tight end for the
Falcons.
Oh, Kyle Pitts.
Kyle Pitts. How is
the Rams and Puka Nakua
able to find success like that
and you have elite
talent like
Kyle Pitts that's not being used properly in Atlanta.
Calvert really is having an okay season,
but it's not jogging my memory right now.
I should have had this taken down.
I had no idea you were asking that question.
But there are many teams,
when you go throughout the NFL,
that have elite players
that aren't being utilized properly.
They're not being utilized properly.
But all of a sudden, we get to the Ramsams and puka nakua as a rookie is sitting atop almost in every category receiving
wise why why is that what what does what does puka have that that that garrett wilson does
quarterback you see calvin ridley has a quarterback also. Yeah.
You know.
Fingered ball.
You like the guy that Trevor Lawrence.
Yeah.
And you look at Gary Wilson
who he has throwing him the ball.
I mean,
it takes a really,
really special guy.
I mean,
the only guy that's off
the top of my head
that has some,
some,
some,
some average to below
average quarterbacks
and still go get
and still go eat
was D-Hawk
when he was at the Texans.
Oh, yeah.
Cause he had Brock Osweiler.
He had got case Keenum.
It didn't matter.
I don't care.
He was still going to go get four.
He still was going to go get 1400.
Everything catching everything.
Yeah.
And then when you saw when he got,
uh,
Deshaun.
Yeah.
So,
but I,
I think the thing is that the quarterback play,
um,
Sean McVay does a great job.
Think about it.
I mean, when you look at a guy, I mean, when you look at, what's the guy, Cooper Cup, he doesn't blow you away. I mean, but Sean McVay did a great job scheming him up for the Triple Crown.
Yeah.
And he was a cool cup man that that
triple crown yeah man that was that was art i believe i believe i believe i believe that's
he had the greatest single receiving season when you look at it in its totality yeah
with the amount of catches with the amount of yards and you look at the playoffs he was
offensive player of the year and he was super bowl Player of the Year and he was Super Bowl MVP.
I believe he had the greatest receiver
for a receiver.
Over 2,000 total yards receiving.
I mean, ain't no telling how many catches.
I think he had like 170,
maybe 170 catches.
An OPY and a Super Bowl MVP.
That's crazy.
Now,
I think Jerry, I think Jerry,
I think Jerry did the same thing
in,
nah,
what year?
No,
that was 85.
The 85 year.
I think you're talking about.
No.
85.
Jerry was a rookie in 85.
The Bears won in 85.
The Giants won in 86.
87
was Washington.
What year was the short year?
We had them crazy. The season was a little short. We had that crazy year. That was Washington. What year was the short year? We had them crazy.
The season was a little short.
He had that crazy year.
That was 87.
Okay, 87.
87.
That's when he had,
in 12 games,
he had 22 touchdowns.
Yeah, man.
And then he won
Offensive Player of the Year.
And then in 88,
the next year,
he won Super Bowl MVP
when he went crazy on Cincinnati.
You ain't had to throw that in there. You ain't had to throw that in there.
You ain't had to throw that in there.
Hey,
I don't know if you've heard this.
There's an insecure actress, comedian named
Yvonne Orji.
Has never been
say she a 39 year old virgin.
Say she went and say, you know,
she's been buried. You know, she's gonna
wait. But when her husband,
when she get all that,

aligned in the right places being unionized with on?
Because she would be perfect for you and what you have going on.
Not only is she walking the path of righteousness, but she has the vision that can open the door where you trying to get to.

And now you have a perfect opportunity.
You have the perfect opportunity to get you somebody that is aligned with your
core values in the way you was raised by your grandma.
You was raised in a church,

Yeah.
Well,

Y'all having prayer and
Bible study together before

Think about that.

Yeah, stay with me. I'm telling you, you need a you need a woman like that in your life.
Yeah. Give me Miss Nasty B. I have the Bible right there by my bed.
Lord, forgive me for what I'm about to do.
Man, let me play it, Lord.
I'm sorry.
I'm a real fool.
See, you always on some bull, John.
She appeared on Chance the Handler podcast.
Whether she's still a virgin to which she answered yes.
She jokingly asked her listeners to pray for her future partner
because
the weight has left her
with a great deal
of pent up energy
many fans commented
how hard it is to believe
that at 39
she's still a virgin
especially as many sex scenes
the actresses had on HBO
you got your working woman too
you got your working woman
she's been on HBO.
Huh?
And I ain't talking about
helping a brother out.
Can't you work her hips?
Can't you work her hips?
Yeah.
Yes, you can.
I make enough money
for the both of them.
You had to tell the God
at the gates, now.
You know, I to ask for forgiveness.
He said there ain't nothing he won't forgive you for.
Right.
All right.
I'm going to let you slide at night.
But listen, think about it.
Ain't nothing.
How do you feel about having a woman that's pure?
Do you have the patience for that?
No.
What?
No.
So when you say you want your woman seasoned
you have a problem with it being rare and unseasoned oh i'm gonna put it to you like
this and i'm not listeners don't please don't take this because i'm not comparing right a woman
to a car yeah but you know there's not a i've never woman to a car. Yeah. But you know,
there's not a car. I've never test driven
a car that I bought.
I see the car,
I was like,
I want that car.
Right.
Go pick it up.
Right.
Wait, you don't test drive?
I mean.
You don't test drive first?
Nope.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Come on.
I know what I want.
Come on.
Wait, wait, wait.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
You've been in a relationship before, right?
I have.
Do you initiate a relationship with a woman
before you even have horizontal activity with her?
How do you do that?
Because if the horizontal activity
is not up to par in what it should be,
that's really the deal breaker
for 95% of the people that are in relationships
if it ain't geared towards ain't money geared towards money
yeah yeah yeah money she can't make enough money to keep me that right if the nightly duties ain't
correct come on pastor hey those isn't wasting ain't no sense of wasting my time come on come
on pastor you could overlook you could overlook a lot of things right i don't know if bad sex is
one of them yeah yeah i mean you ain't gotta be able to cook right i don't know if bad sex is one of them yeah yeah i mean
you ain't got to be able to cook yeah i don't care about no cooking either i don't yeah you ain't got
to look if you choose to work that's on you you want your own little thing so you don't have to
come from me to everything that's cool too see you're a good dude yeah i like that ain't too
many it's ain't too many yeah i, I like that. That's dope.
So whoever you do date,
they don't have to work.
They can choose to work
if they want to.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Oh, that's live.
That's live.
But you're a catch boy
and I'm going to find
somebody for you.
Before we get to December,
I'm going to find you
a good woman.
To me, this is a good woman.
This is the type of woman
that like,
not saying you can mold her but anyone that walks in the feet of christ is what you need that's what that's what you need
well i tell you what i'm i'm gonna have i'm gonna have god on one side i'm holding his hand yeah
and miss nasty be on the other side, I'm in the middle.
We walking down the street.
Come on, man.
Come on, Unc, man.
Listen, man.
You're going to drown, man.
That ain't nothing to play with.
But you're going to drown.
You know you're here.
Let me stop because people are going to be thinking,
man, Unc done slid that woman down.
No, no.
We know, listen, if you did slide in a DM,
you wouldn't be mentioning her name right now.
So we know you didn't do that.
We know you didn't do that. We know you didn't do that.
But again, there's two sides of the spectrum.
You want the rain shower or you want the holy water?
Where you want to go?
You know what?
You want the rain shower or you want the holy water?
Which one you want?
You know what?
A little, well, ain't nothing like a little warm rain water, is it?
You know,
you from Florida.
I'm from South Georgia.
One of them old pop-ups
during the storm.
Right.
And that rain is nice and warm.
Yeah.
Woo!
You right.
I know what you're talking about.
I'm with you.
I'm with you when you're right.
I'm with you when you're right.
I like when you're going with that.
That show,
that show was nice.
Yeah.
You know,
you go to the shower,
you don't want it too hot.
I mean,
sometimes they have it in there
and it's so hot,
like they cook it last.
Nah,
nah,
I want it nice and warm.
Just warm as you stand there
and I just sit there like,
oh man,
it's so good.
It's so good.
See,
that,
you see,
you,
that right there,
when the rain,
the warm rain you talking about,
that ain't here for a long time.
That's here for a good time.
That holy water,
that's that long vision.
That's that long term,
you know,
depending on where you want to go,
what path you trying to walk,
huh?
Cause the,
do you know,
you know,
you end up with the devil.
I ain't gonna preach today though.
I ain't,
I ain't,
I ain't,
I ain't,
I ain't gonna preach today. No though. I ain't going to priest today.
You know, sometimes, you know,
God send people into your life.
Not only can they change you,
but you can change them.
Yeah, that might be the case, Ochoa.
Yeah, stay with me now.
I might be ordained.
Wait, hold on.
When you talk about being ordained
Most gracious and holy heavenly father
I come to thee in the most humble way
I know how bowed head
Humble heart on bent knee
Realizing that your lord of lords
King of kings
Sit high
Look slow
Forgive me
Son
Arjo Have you seen this forgive me, sir.
Arjo,
have you seen this?
There's a viral video going of a man punching a woman's seat.
She's sitting in front of him
and she reclined her seat
and he continuously punches.
Punches the seat, yeah.
Did you see that?
Yeah, on the plane.
And so are people allowed
to recline their seat?
Well, obviously, if people weren't allowed to recline their seat, they wouldn't have the goddamn budget.
It wouldn't recline.
It wouldn't recline.
But again, I think at different times, height, depending on how tall you are, maybe how short you are, maybe a little bit how wide you are.
I think planes might need to make adjustments based on people's size, you know,
because, you know, some of us are too tall, a little bit obese. And when people recline their
seats, it hits your knees and it may make you uncomfortable. So I think maybe airlines and
then the FDA need to work in, you know, making stuff a little bit more comfortable for people
of size. I don't know if that's going to help.
No, the seats are getting smaller because they're trying to get more people on the plane.
So I'm not trying to increase.
I'm not trying to make you comfortable.
I'm trying to pack more people on.
Okay, I see where you're going with this.
I see where you're going with this.
Bottom dollar at the end of the day.
Right, right, right.
That's why every time, what do they do?
They overbook the flight.
Well, somebody going to give up their seat. We'll give them a voucher but we want to make sure we we want to make sure
we have as many of these seats occupied as we possibly can but i i believe i believe
if he would have asked ma'am uh you're a little far back can you uh let your seat up some i'm not
saying you have to go all the way to the upright and fully locked position, but can you just
a little bit?
Sometimes, like you said, in a situation
like that, it's all about tone and how you ask
someone. Delivery.
But me,
now, well, first of all,
you're not going to do that to my seat. I'm going to lay it all the
way back. All the way.
I'm going to try to
break it so i'm laying in
your lap i mean imagine just being disrespectful i mean come on ocho bro i mean you i mean you you
know you know and i've been on a plane with someone and she was sitting next to me and the
guy reclined his seat now we hadn't taken off yet but he had reclined his seat and she's like
you can't recline the seat yeah And she's like, you can't recline the seat.
Yeah, especially before you take off. You can't.
Right.
Look here, man. You ain't no flight attendant.
Sit down.
So, he's
like, okay, he let it. So, once he got up
in the air, he let it back again.
All the way back.
She took both of her feet
and kicked that seat so hard for real and he went boom he
and it i said ma'am you could have just asked him i'm not in a quiet right right right you could
have just asked him i said you didn't have to do that right i said he paid for that seat i said
he's allowed to recline the seat just like if you wanted to recline yours, you could be reclining yours. She looked
at me. She ain't say anything.
By halfway through the flight,
she's giving me a
note. You're right. I'm sorry.
Thank you for having patience
with me.
I mean, that's what the note was reading.
I see you with a level head.
So I'm thinking
to myself,
she write me a note.
She can't talk.
Ten minutes later,
she touched me on the arm.
So what's your name?
Why the hell you give me a note?
You could have just told me
what you wrote in the note.
You could have just told me that.
Right, right, right, right.
I'm thinking the lady can't talk.
So now I'm feeling like, oh, man.
But I'm saying even though she can't talk,
she still didn't have a right to kick that man's ass.
Yeah, yeah, right, right.
She's lucky the bad day, having a bad day.
Because sometimes you catch the right person on the wrong day
and, oh, ain't going to help.
Yeah, sure ain't.
Sure ain't.
So why is this because we've seen these videos starting to go
more and more viral everybody why is this such a controversy i don't know everybody recording
everything so what's going on with the plane they're recording everything they're recording
everything and then every time we turn around there's something viral going on on the flight
it might be a fight argument with the flight attendant or the stewardess is
always something always something and everybody in this that's there we and everybody got their
phones out so nothing is missed nothing is missed for me ocho i don't want no problem i get on the
plane i buckle my seat belt soon as i sit down i I don't, you know, the only, you know,
if I'm asleep,
I tell them don't bother me,
don't ask me anything.
Damn.
The one time I got,
I got really upset, Ocho.
You rude.
I'm, you know,
Ocho, I'm, I'm, I'm,
you know, I'm asleep.
This is before 9-11.
I'm asleep.
I'm just...
The lady shakes me
and wake me up.
She shook you.
And woke me up.
Yeah.
And guess what she asked me?
You want something to drink? Would you like dinner? I said, ma'am, And woke me up. Yeah. And guess what she asked me? You want some to drink?
Would you like dinner? I said, ma'am,
you woke me up for this nasty ass food?
Oh, come on. Don't do that, man.
That's not nice.
Ocho. Ocho. I mean, I'm like
Ocho. I'm like this here.
You out of there.
Yeah.
Why you call the plane
food nasty? I enjoy it. I enjoy the food on the plane.
I said, ma'am,
in the future, if I'm asleep,
I don't know if you'll ever have me again,
but please don't wake me up.
Uncle, you mean, man.
Now bring me that plate.
You don't want me up now.
Then bring it to me.
Nah, but I
don't sleep on the plane now.
Well, you flying private,
so who going to bother you on there?
I sleep on the private plane,
but when I don't fly private,
I don't sleep.
Oh, you don't fly private.
I thought you did that all the time.
I don't.
Come on back.
Thank you.
Come on back down to earth with us.
What you need to do is
you need to try spirit with me.
You need to try spirit with me. I pray. Come on back down to earth with us. What you need to do is you need to try spirit with me. You need to try spirit with me.
Seat 18A.
I tried the spirit.
That's why I went to church.
The Holy Spirit get in me when I go to church.
That's the only spirit you better be talking about to me.
I'm trying to help you.
I'm trying to help you keep your money and keep it a little longer.
I know you got that train smoke money.
They go back.
But I'm trying to make sure you sustain that for a long period of time.
It ain't going nowhere.
I got you.
I know.
I know.
I got you.
I know it ain't.
I know it ain't.
It's all good.

In the fall of 1986,
Ronald Reagan found himself at the center of a massive scandal that looked like it might bring down his presidency.
Did you make a mistake in sending arms to Tehran, sir?
No.
It became known as the Iran-Contra affair.
And I'm not taking any more questions in just a second.
I'm going to ask...
I'm Leon Nafok, co-creator of Slow Burn.
In my podcast, Fiasco, Iran-Contra,
you'll hear all the unbelievable details of a scandal
that captivated the nation nearly 40 years ago, but which few of us still remember today.
The things that happened were so bizarre and insane, I can't begin to tell you.
Please do.
To hear the whole story, listen to Fiasco, Iran Contra on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
So, is that what you want? Let's go back to Yvonne Orji.
I mean, before you met Ray.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
A lady says, well, Ocho, I'm saving myself a marriage.
Oh, okay. Now, now, here's, I'm saving myself a marriage. Oh, okay.
Now, here's the thing.
You buy the car.
And the car don't drive like you thought it would.
The handling is terrible.
And now you stuck like a bass on the elevator.
Then what you do?
Well, you know, I wasn't i wasn't a
honor student i wasn't an academic scholar so therefore i really wouldn't have the patience
for teaching because that's not something that i i like to do even if she's willing to even if
she's willing to learn this man said he wasn't a Rhodes Scholar.
Bro, you can barely read a road map.
What you talking about?
Yeah, I can't read it all.
I can't read it all.
You can count?
Yeah.
Yeah.
But hold on.
I thought you said, but here's the thing, Ocho.
You're not willing to teach someone that's willing to learn?
I don't have the patience.
And are you really?
And what I know and what I've learned and the experience that i've had based on my experience and obviously you know at one point and i aren't we family and
i'm and i feel like i can share this with y'all and i can share this with the people that are
watching obviously when i was dancing in college you know to earn a living you know when i was you
know stripping at the right track and you know oh. Oh, you that old shake booty. Yeah, man.
Listen, I had to make a way.
I had to make a living.
And then, you know, obviously there was a year I was ineligible at Santa Monica Junior College.
I was ineligible that year.
You know, I dabbled in amateur porn a little bit.
You know, I wasn't a professional, but I was an amateur.
So can you think about me dating a virgin after having that type of lifestyle?
And I got to have pages?
You an F-class porn star, huh?
F?
No, C.
C-class.
C-class?
Yeah, C-class.
C-class.
C-class.
It's cool.
And it's amateur, so it's not like it don't really get out there.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It ain't amateur.
That was before the OnlyFans and the Pornhub and all those other sites. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It ain't happening. That was before the OnlyFans
and the Pornhub
and all those other sites.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I get what you're saying.
That's why I support
everybody that has OnlyFans
because at one point,
that used to be me.
You know,
you used to be able
to get my shit
at Blockbuster.
That's probably why
Blockbuster went out of business
instead of your porn tapes.
Nah, nah, nah, nah.
That's not wack.
That's not wack.
That was some good footage.
And probably after this air, I know that shit is going to leak.
It's going to peak back up?
Yeah, it's going to leak.
It's going to leak.
And you know what happened when that leaked?
Yeah.
The price is good.
Hey.
Ocho, man, you might get another stipend by the middle of the tune.
Yesterday's price is not today's price.
It's not today's price.
Man, you out your mind, Ocho.
I'm glad Real don't take you serious.
I really do.
You know what?
I think that's the problem.
That's the problem with life.
We take life too serious
and it's too goddamn short
to be angry.
It's too damn short
to not be having a good time
at all times.
It's too short to be arguing.
It's too short to be mad. It too short to be mad it just it just is and i i found that out i i'm happy every day huh every day every
day yeah there are issues we all go through stuff but anything that's not in my control
anything that i can't physically or mentally handle, more so physically, and change, I don't worry about it.
I let it go.
We let too much stuff on the outside bother us.
Stuff that is completely out of our control.
Handle what you can control and the things you can't.
Fuck it.
It's simple.
Simple lifestyle.
Yeah, man.
Every day, people ask me, man, why are you always happy on tour every morning
five in the morning you always talk about you love this you love that nigga is you ever angry
no not really because i don't really need anything get to me or bother me at this point in life
it's wasting energy what i'm getting mad for what's the point true what is the point what
am i solving by wasting that energy? Nothing.
And I think a lot of people, a lot of people can learn from that. If the things that you can't control, if you just don't let it bother you, people say, oh, and everybody had problems.
I don't understand anxiety.
Me personally, I don't understand it because I don't let anything bother me.
You know, so it's mental health is very,
very, very, very, very fucking important. Very important. Obviously the studies and some of the
things that have gone on, some of the stuff that I've learned about mental health is very important.
And to the point where I've asked people, can you help me figure out what I'm, what I, what I may
have going on? Well, mental health will be an issue because nothing bothers me.
Nothing.
Nothing.
To this day,
I'm trying to think of what it may be
because these are issues
that I don't have
that everyone seems to be fighting with.
Yeah.
I mean, everybody,
I mean, kudos to you
that you can wake up every morning
and have the same.
I mean, obviously,
I feel good.
I wake up and I got life, health and strength,
the blood running warm in my veins. I have use of my limbs. I'm in my right mind. But throughout
the course of the day, there are things that, you know, when you, you operate a business and you,
you try to do things that you possibly can and you're like, okay, why didn't this go well?
And especially because you got other people and everybody's not in your head and they don't see
things or, or, or do things exactly like you.
I think that was the biggest thing for me
was to let go.
Right.
And stop trying to control everything
because I like being in control.
So therefore, if it goes awry,
I blame me.
Yeah, I like that.
I turn it over to you, it go wrong.
Now, there's going to be hell to pay.
But I found a way to let things go.
Let them handle it.
I got it.
Okay.
Get it handled. But that was the biggest thing for me I found a way to let things go, let them handle it. I got it, okay.
Get it handled.
But that was the biggest thing for me was to give up control.
I like driving.
I don't like being, unless I'm being driven.
But to sit in a car with someone that, okay, we going,
nah, I need to drive.
Yeah, I can't remember the last time
I probably been in a car
and a young lady drove me somewhere.
No, let me drive your car.
Okay.
Okay.
All right.
I got you.
I'll show for you.
I'll play.
I'll show for you around.
What are you going to take
Miss Be Nasty?
Is she going to be able to order
Miss Be Nasty
when y'all go on a date?
Is she going to be able to can she order the'all go on a date? She going to be,
can she order the lobster?
You know,
I'm just asking,
can Miss be nasty?
Order the lobster.
Okay.
Let me,
let me say this.
Oh,
Joe,
you know,
I told that story.
I said it was 1990.
Yeah.
And you know,
women,
some women would jump in our car,
a timeline talking about,
you know,
you ain't like nobody ought to know women.
You know,
it's a queer poke. Whoa. I was like, I didn't have bread. I say, talking about, you know, you ain't let nobody order no women, you know, it's a quid po quo.
I was like, I didn't have bread.
I said, see, you looking at me
in today's terms,
30 plus years ago,
I tried to make
that abundantly clear.
That was a different time.
Now, hopefully,
everybody is smart enough.
We on a first date nobody's trying to
to like
okay
break the bank
I'm ordering the
yeah I'm ordering
the seafood tower
you know you go to
master or you go to
and they got these things
that's this high
and they got crab
and lobster
and scallop
and shrimps
and this and that
and nobody trying to play
yeah they cost
four five hundred dollars
whoa whoa
come on man
come on
come on with the bullshit there.
Yeah.
Where that's at?
Yeah.
They got them at
all the higher restaurants.
See, I got it.
You ain't never heard
of the seafood tower?
See, I got to get out
in the moment.
It's some bullshit, man.
Am I missing something?
Or should I just stick
to what I already do?
What the fuck is the
damn seafood tower?
Well, I mean,
they got lobster lobster tail they got
crab claws they got uh uh uh shrimp cocktail they got i mean if it's oysters on a tower
yeah it's yeah they call it it's like it's like three levels and so you know they got
probably lobster here they got crab uh crab, crab claws here. They got shrimp cocktail.
They got oysters.
Yeah.
I ain't never heard that.
The only place I've been, I've been to a nice place in Miami.
I've been to Poppy Steak.
I've been to Poppy Steak.
The presentation at Poppy Steak.
Listen, they had a little $1,000 steak they bring out in their presentation.
Oh, yeah.
They turn the lights off.
We went for real birthday.
They turn the lights off and that thing.
And then the music start coming,
then the whole group of people
come out with a briefcase,
and they open it up,
and they be chanting,
and they close it back,
and they be like,
and they open it back.
I'm like, oh, shit.
But it's shit live.
How many people that snake feed?
I think six, six or seven.
Yeah, big tomahawk steak
I might
it might be more than that
but that presentation
I've been there one time
obviously
I got the little
thousand dollar steak
and after that
that was it
that's the extent of my
of my experience with
nice restaurant
but I ain't never heard
no seafood tower man
god damn
yeah
oh
what I want to ask you.
Check this out.
Ocho, you ever seen
and I,
and people,
and women going,
somebody, you lie.
A lot of guys are going to say I'm lying.
You know what I've never done, Ocho?
What?
Don't lie to me.
I've,
I've never been to a place
and sent a girl a drink.
No.
See, this is, this is another one this is i get i guarantee you you will never find a woman
now i'm not saying that when for i i'm trying to think there's only been a handful of time
i'm talking about like in the last i think i might have only had in my first day,
like from the time I got to Denver
until the time I retired.
Yeah.
I think I only had one female
to buy a drink,
order a drink when she,
you know,
like I would like a drink
or look at the wine menu.
But outside,
okay,
I'm out with the boys.
And you see girls,
you don't go
send no drinks over?
Send them a drink.
No.
And this is,
again,
this is another area
just like last night's show,
obviously with the whole
Keithy thing,
this is another area for me
that is out of my realm.
It's just not my expertise
because, you know,
I don't drink alcohol.
So I can't even...
You ever send somebody a drink? I don't drink and I don't partake in the nightlife. You know know, I don't drink alcohol. So I can't even. You ever send somebody a drink?
I don't drink and I don't partake in the nightlife.
You know that.
I don't go nowhere.
I ain't saying now.
I'm talking about before.
You ain't never sent a girl a drink.
Hell not.
Why I'm saying?
If she thirsty, she got to.
What?
I ain't know my cheap ass ain't send nobody no goddamn drink.
Now, come on now.
I ain't never sent money either.
You know how much alcohol costs? I mean,up yeah inside a club i see i see him arguing about
that shit on twitter you think i'm finna hell no ain't for me but obviously that's not my lane i
mean i'm yeah yeah other people that are better suited to talk about, oh, yeah, I sent a girl a drink. I can't even talk about that.
Yeah.
And that's how I am.
And I'm not saying, oh, you sent a girl a drink.
No, I just never have.
I never have.
I mean, I've had women like, oh, you're not going to buy me a drink?
I'm like, no, I'm not.
Well, you know, women go to the club.
They don't need to take no money because they're all men.
If you're not going to do it, there's about 100 dudes that will.
You understand that?
First of all, how's she looking?
Everybody ain't getting no drinks bought for her.
Truth be told.
That's not true.
You think so?
No, you're bullshit.
I'm excuse me.
Bull jive.
Like that little boy say, bullshit.
I don't think it had nothing to do with looks.
Because women, women, women, Because women Women traveling groups, right?
And in every group that women have
There's always an alpha
And the alpha is the one
The guy attracted to the section
And you know the first thing they say
You got your girls with you?
Yeah, boom, right there
Everybody drinking for free
They ain't even got to take no money
To the club when they go out
Yeah, I had a young lady tell me one time
That this guy wanted to talk to her
And she said, well, if you want to talk to me, you got to take me and my eight friends out to eat.
Whoa.
Come back again?
Yeah.
She told me that she told a guy, if you want to talk to me, if you want to talk to me.
Yeah.
Not date, but just talk to.
You got to take her and her eight friends out?
Took them out to eat.
Did he take them?
Nope.
Yeah, he took him.
You can't leave
with money like that, man.
Because when you leave
with money like that,
you're going to always have to keep...
You're going to have to keep
leading with it.
Here's the thing.
I take you to a $500,
$600 dinner.
Where do I go from there?
You have to maintain that.
What you mean?
If you set the precedent at the beginning, you got to maintain that what you mean if you set the precedent at the beginning
you got to maintain it
and the minute you don't
what's going to happen
oh you cheat
that's why I just
I start
that's why I start off
with McDonald's
I mean
you going to do this or not
what you want to do
we ain't got to do McDonald's
but they don't
I ain't going to let you
head crack me on the first one either.
Wait, hold on.
He took eight of them out?
You know, it's...
But women,
you know what,
here's the thing though.
Women, and I get it.
Women, they try,
they don't normally,
women travel in packs
at least two,
sometimes three to four.
And it's like, well, you know,
if you buy me a drink you got
to buy my girls a drink well i mean i can't remember i can't remember last time i've been i
mean i've been to sporting events so i i know what alcohol costs so you buy let's just say the
average drink is somewhere between 10 and 16 you buy four of them now you have 40 to 64 dollars right
and well you got you got to think about times are different now, too, huh?
You know, I think the men have also set the precedent of leading with money and showing that they do have it.
They get what they do want.
So, it's different.
And if there's one dude that won't do it, you know, it's about 200 more waiting in line to do it.
Yeah.
I don't know well i'm reading the story gilbert arenas kenya martin and brandon jenny jenny boys boys had me laughing boy how they used to have rules with their teammates dealing with groupies
but see basketball is here the thing to Ocho because basketball and baseball players travel so much more than an NFL player does.
Because, you know, we fly in Saturday.
We normally get we probably land around three thirty four o'clock.
We get on a bus that drives up to the tarmac.
We go straight to the hotel.
They're normally going to have special teams.
I mean, they're going to have meetings within an hour.
So it's not like a basketball player. You
land, you touch down, you drop your bags off
and you're out. A baseball player, you're
in the city for five, six days because you got
three, four games.
It's not like that.
The level, I've been around NBA players,
I've been around LBL.
You think football players got the women,
they can't. It ain't even close.
It ain't even close at all ain't even close. At all.
Football players are construction workers.
And that's not a construction worker.
They're hard workers. But when it comes to NBA
and MLB,
different ball game, baby.
They got them.
Hey,
they got them.
Yeah, baby. And the story,
the stories Kenyon and Gibberdon was telling
why them boys had me in tears.
Back in the day, Ocho,
back before I got saved.
Yeah.
If she told me she talked
to a basketball.
Yeah.
Or MLB player.
Yeah.
I said, baby,
I ain't got nothing for you.
You out of there?
I can't afford you.
Rent too high.
Now you good, huh?
It wasn't that bad back then. I ain't got it. You ain't got it? I ain't got it, Ocho. I ain't got it, Ocho. I ain't got it. Ain too high. Now, you good, huh? It wasn't that bad back then.
I ain't got it.
You ain't got it?
I ain't got it, Ocho.
I ain't got it, Ocho.
I ain't got it.
Ain't no sense in me lying.
Ain't no sense in me trying to front on them.
I ain't going to lie, baby.
I ain't got it.
I can't do it.
I can't do it.
Hey, just go on back.
Hey, find you another baseball or NBA player.
Hey, Shay ain't got it.
I had three small kids. Right, right, right. You couldn't do it? I ain't got it but you i had three kids had three small kids right right right
you couldn't do it i ain't got it i couldn't do it you have so you have so did you warn your
teammates because no at some point in time you were a rookie yeah and then you know you became
the veteran the elder statesman you knew everybody you knew i don't know how much you hung out but
you know i would try to tell the guys but sometimes you know guys i mean man love is hey i said what i would do i was like hey bro let me tell you know she he's
she kind of been with a couple of guys i'm not gonna be disrespectful to somebody she
she'll garden too i'm gonna say hey bro she's been with a couple of guys hey so you know
tread lightly yeah okay okay sharp you, you're making your girl.
I ain't got nothing to do.
Hey, and once she your girl,
I'm going to treat her just like I would if that was your wife.
That's who you chose to be with.
Because, hey, you my teammate.
That's what you chose to be with.
That's who you chose to be with.
But, you know, you try to give them a little heads up
because, hey, guys gave me the head up.
Right.
I never interfered. I never interfered.
I never interfered in that manner.
Never.
Because no matter what you tell somebody, they're going to like and love who they love.
And I didn't want to be the one to come off as, I hate using the word hating because that's
something that I don't consider me doing, even if the intent is in a positive way, to
give you fair warning.
I think everyone has to experience those, those experiences with people and then to
see, see their true colors on the back end.
So you know the bridge, 10 miles down the road that I normally travel is out.
Yeah.
So you ain't going to tell me.
You're going to let me go this far?
Well, listen, that's not true because sometimes the bridge 10 miles down
the road is out and depending on
the person that you, what happens, you might get,
you might be the one. And before you get
to the end of that bridge, she might be the one
to fix that motherfucker so you can get the hell over.
But see, here's the thing.
I'm just being optimistic.
A wise man learns from others mistakes a fool will learn from his own yeah you the wise man you tell me so i don't make that mistake like
when you're going you're gonna let me be a fool or you're gonna let me be a fool i like where you're
going but sometime you know you could take you listen take... You're going to let me be a fool. Listen, no, I know. Listen to me. No, I ain't going to
let you be no fool, but you could take a horse
to water. You know that, huh? But you
can't make him drink. You could lead
that horse to water. You could tell...
You could say, I don't want you to be no fool, but I could lead you
to the water. But depending on how fine she
is, shit.
Well, you're going to cross that bridge where that
motherfucker fixed the knot.
Hey. You right, Ocho. I ain't going to cross that bridge with that motherfucker fixed or not. Hey.
You're right, Ocho.
I ain't going to lie to you, man.
One of God's greatest creations
is the woman.
And we as men
are willing to do
some of anything.
A motherfucker swim the seven seas
for the right one
based on visual.
A visual. that's it
the visuals
Ocho I told
I told a female one time she's like
well you know and I
just couldn't I just couldn't leave her alone she said
Shannon see
why can't you
leave me alone
she still is
what you mean was was means past She still is. What you mean was?
Was means past tense.
She is currently fine.
Hey.
You know what I told her?
You funny, man.
Ocho, you know what I told her?
I said the mind replays
what the heart can't delete.
Let me get my pen.
Stay right there.
Don't go nowhere.
Hold on.
Don't go nowhere. Hold on. Hold on.
Don't go nowhere.
Don't go nowhere.
Because if you think I ain't using that,
if you think I ain't using that.
Man, you can't use that on the radio.
Let me get my paper real quick.
Yes, sir.
Well, you think, well, listen,
because she's asleep right now, but I need that line, boy.
Well, bring that to me one more time now.
Bring that to me again.
The mind replays what the heart can't delete.
Replays.
Replays.
What the heart can't delete.
What the heart can't delete.
What the heart.
You know what?
That's going to be my morning text right there.
Yes, sir.
Yes, sir.
Normally, I leave my morning text with Grand Rising.
Grand Rising Queen.
Yeah.
Yeah, I'm going to change it up on her.
Yeah, she don't like this.
Like, oh, what the hell he would think about me.
You know what a twin flame is?
You ever heard of the term twin flame?
Twin flame? Oh, yeah., you know what a twin flame is? You ever heard of the term twin flame? Twin flame?
Oh, yeah, I smoke cigars.
The torch?
No, no, no, not a twin flame.
I'm talking about male to female.
It's like a kindred spirit.
Nah, I don't know about that.
That's some new shit?
Nah, have you ever had a situation where
you
had dealt with this person?
Okay.
Okay.
You no longer deal with that person.
Right.
But there's something,
there's a magnetic force
that keeps pulling you guys back
towards each other.
Damn, that's a good one.
And I'm thinking hard
and despite the current situation
that I'm in right now,
that wouldn't deter my answer
because this obviously
would be before her.
Damn, I ain't really guy i ain't had nothing like that because you know once i once i was a dad oh it's a rap man you know i'd be next next and i mean no disrespect next
yeah oh yeah i i get it man that's that's a good one and i think we all have that person in life too
i i i would i would think you know based on the stories i've heard there's always someone that
always have access no matter what because there's always someone that can get to you in a way that
nobody else has been able to despite you falling in love despite you having kids despite you being
married there was always somebody from someone's past that has access.
You know, it might not be physical, but it's here.
Or it's here.
Yeah, always, always.
And if you're married right now, and if you're in a relationship right now, ask your spouse.
Ask the person you're with who that special person is.
They probably ain't going to lie.
They ain't going to say, oh, it ain't nobody's issue.
But that's not true.
And that's not the case because if that was the case can you imagine if you ask your
partner if you could be with the person you really want right now or is the person you really want
right now is it really me i mean the honest truth is it's not if you think about it if you be honest
be honest with yourself all right am i really the one you really want to be with? You know, I ask, you know, there are a lot of times that I've asked myself,
I've never been foolish enough to think I'm the wealthiest or the best looking or the best dress
or the most muscular. I've never been foolish enough to think that. But, you know, when I was
younger, I always, I used to always ask myself am I good enough?
Do I really?
And I started to play tricks on myself and I was sabotaging my own relationship
because I didn't think I was good enough.
And so that was the hardest thing for me
is that I would mess it up
because here I am thinking that
man,
I ain't good enough
for her.
What she want with me?
You know,
I'm from the country.
I talk with a lisp.
You know,
I have a very
colloquial dialect.
I mean,
I'm not sharp.
You know,
it's just like,
and then I would
F it up.
I'll screw it up myself.
Yeah.
Sabotage.
You know,
sometimes women
do that as well.
Sometimes women
sabotage. Yeah, they do. Yeah, women sabotage, huh? You know, sometimes women do that as well. Sometimes women sabotage.
Yeah, they do.
Yeah, women sabotage great situations, overthinking.
You know what I hate, Ochoa?
You know what I hate?
Let me tell you what I hate about a woman.
Well, you got real passionate real quick just there now.
I brought back some memories.
Yeah, Ochoa, you know what I hate?
Shannon, you can have any woman you want.
Why you want to be with me?
Damn it, I don't now.
I changed my mind.
I did, but I don't now.
Why you ask me that?
Right.
Threw off everything.
Damn.
Damn.
Shannon, you can have any woman you want.
Why you want to be with me
that is a bad one huh
damn
well how you answer that
that's a good question though
when you
I mean when you think about it
it's really
it's really
a lot of times
whatever answer you give them
it's not going to be good enough
no it's never
it's never sufficient
never sufficient
but
damn it is what it is damn that's a good one damn good enough. It's never sufficient. Never sufficient.
It is what it is.
That's a good one.
Damn.
But
special. But you
right about that, what you said about
young guys coming into a league and it's not just
the NFL. It could be any league, MLB,
NBA.
I mean, so many women out here,
man, they got a look.
You know, that's all it take now.
That's all it take.
It's all about...
Because we're visual.
Men are visual.
Visual creatures.
I'm a visual learner.
You can't tell me something.
You got to show me.
Let me see it.
Right.
And see that...
Like, they literally had...
If they put it on the board,
it's like, okay, Shannon, you do this.
I say, can you show it to me? Let me put it on the board, it's like, okay, Shannon, you do this. I said,
can you show it to me?
Let me see,
let me see it on the board.
Right.
Let now I got it.
Yeah.
I'm never going to forget it.
And so that's how a lot of that's men are very visual.
Women like women like touch.
They like,
you know,
caressing.
They like the date by the fireplace and all that.
Man just need to see. And if, and the better you know, caressing. They like to date by the fireplace and all that. Men just need to see.
And the better you look,
the easier it is for you to have access
to whatever it is you want.
I mean, it used to be, you know,
hey, hair, nails.
Then it went from rent to car.
Yeah.
Now it's LLCs.
A business?
A whole business?
Yeah.
Why would a little $40?
Yeah, I'll come out of the pocket,
quit a little $40 for your dad,
a little another $60 for your hair,
a hundred dollars.
Yeah.
Take this C-note and get on up out of here.
That was back in the day.
Inflation, they're hitting that, man.
You know?
You got to pay rent.
You got to pay car note.
You got to get hair.
You got to buy wigs.
You know?
That's why I learned how to do all that stuff. So you don't have to pay car note. You got to get hair. You got to buy wigs. You know, that's why,
that's why I learned how to do all that stuff.
So you don't have to come and ask.
Yeah.
Men is 15 bands a month.
Men is a minimum
is 15 bands a month.
That's minimal.
I ain't got it.
I got it,
but I ain't got it.
That's why I learned
how to do all this,
all everything.
Upkeep.
The upkeep,
the upkeep to a woman
is very important.
The upkeep to a woman is very important. The upkeep to a woman is very important.
Just like having a building.
When you have a building, you got to continue to look after that building.
Because if you don't look after that building, you know what happens over time?
It starts to deteriorate.
Yeah.
That's why I learned how to do all the women's upkeep.
I know how to do.
I could do lashes.
I do brows.
Ocho, you know what happens? Yeah, what happens? What happens? If you get a woman and you don't keep the upkeep. I know how to do... I could do lashes. I do brows. Ocho, you know what happened?
Yeah, what happened?
What happened?
If you get a woman
and you don't keep the upkeep...
Yeah, what happened?
Another building manager
come in and keep it upkeep for you.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And he should...
You know what?
That will go out.
You know what happened?
At some time,
when you think about it,
in hindsight,
that ain't a bad thing
because that's one less expense for you.
You can look at it from that that that perspective you look at it
two different ways yeah you look at it two different ways oh you wanna yeah but i'm like
okay cool that's your responsibility i'm cool i get to save me some money i'm like upkeep like
that i'm so now i'm gonna i'm looking for me a woman like with halliburton here
oh yeah now you know them curls now shoot that that's a little expense too now that's I'm looking for me a woman like with Halle Berry hair. With no hair? I want to cut it. You know,
Halle Berry,
that thing like that
about the hair long.
Oh, yeah.
Now, you know them curls?
Now, shoot,
that's a little expense too.
Now, that's every three,
four days.
You can want some curls.
They ain't like the wig.
They ain't like the wig.
The wig because of the file.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Them wigs expensive.
And they have about four or five of them.
Yeah, them wigs expensive.
They expensive.
I'm getting my hair done.
I'm like,
you just got your hair done
the other day.
Oh, I got to get my hair done weekly?
Yeah, maybe two weeks, every two weeks.
They got to go to the real
deal. You go to the real deal
you go to Arrogantay and
Lonzo and Jonathan M.
They had you right for about two weeks.
I put them on.
You don't know about them, but I put them on
to doing that.
Other than that, man,
that shit is expensive.
About $1,500,
$2,000 wigs, huh?
Yes!
Yeah, man, I know.
I know.
And then, you know,
you got anywhere between
a $4,000 and $7,500 apartment.
Yeah.
And you got anywhere between
$600 and a $1,200 car payment.
Yeah, then you got your nails.
You got your nails, your feet.
Nails.
Then we ain't even talk about makeup. They're getting acrylic, your feet. Then we ain't even talk about makeup.
They're getting acrylics.
Makeup.
We ain't even talk about makeup yet.
Makeup expensive as hell.
And then clothes.
Even though women clothes,
you know, you can be fashionable
for very cheap.
You can be fashionable for very cheap.
But man, that hair.
Hair is where the money at.
Hair and makeup,
that's the most right there.
That's the most right.
I told you, that's why I learned how to That's the most right there. I told you,
that's why I learned
how to do everything.
You ain't going to ask me
for no money
because you know
I know how to do it.
What, you need a washing set?
Come on.
Bring me the blow dryer.
Bring me the curling iron.
Bring me the flat iron.
What you need?
You need your nails
and feet done?
I need to find me a hairdresser.
She can do her own damn hair.
Yeah.
Man, listen.
Or find me a nail tech.
She can do her own nails. I'm telling you,
I know fellas, I know fellas out there listening,
get on YouTube. Your girl always
asking for money for her hair and nails. Get on YouTube.
Learn how to do the stuff
to maintain and keep her happy.
You save you some money.
Drop out 12 bands
every month.
By the third.
It's going to come to a time and point in life
for them 12 mans that that play ain't going to hit every time.
It ain't going to hit every time.
Because here's the thing, Ocho.
Because you know every year they expect a 10 to 20% raise.
Yeah.
Yes, they do.
Yes, they do.
That's going to cut in the Ash compensation. That's going to cut in the ass compensation.
That's going to cut in the George's compensation.
Hey, guys, I got to cut you back.
I got to cut in the barber's compensation.
That cut into the kid.
I got two daughters that are going to want to get married.
But my oldest daughter already knows.
She's going to like,
that I take the money towards a house,
a down payment on the house, something
like that. She's like, I don't want a whole lot of people
at my wedding anyway.
I like it. I like it.
My baby, Poo,
if she get married, she probably take
daddy
pay off these student loans.
Yeah. Okay, cool.
My son already got married,
so he's straight.
But, uh,
yeah, man, it's
different, Ocho. I remember,
hey, bro, I remember $150
kept a lady happy.
What, $150? Man,
$150 kept her happy. What, $40? What?
What you talking about? $40?
Hey, Ocho, you know,
I break about, hey, girl, go get your
nail done every week.
Not no every two, every week.
Every week. You had
them on. You had them on, y'all.
Yes.
Look at you.
Nah, it's just, it's a part
of life. It's the way it is. It's called
inflation.
You got to evolve with the times.
You got to play the play.
You got to play. There's no way around
it. You can sit here and argue about it.
You can say what you want to say,
but as you continue to rise,
as those zeros
continue to grow.
And you know they got some free agents
out here. You know free agents going to the highest bill.
Oh, yeah.
They got some free agents out here. They buy the agents going to the highest bill. Oh yeah. They got some free agents out here. They bad to bad.
They get on the market man.
They like woo.
There ain't no dime.
They 12 pieces.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Long as they don't mind a little competition because you won't be the only 12 piece on
the roster.
Bro, I got the LA.
It's a different set of rules out here, bro.
Because you got two basketball teams. Yeah.
You got football teams.
Mm-hmm.
You got actors.
Mm-hmm.
Entertainers.
Mm-hmm.
Celebs.
You got producers.
You got directors.
Under one roof.
So what?
Under one roof.
What another man want, another one will.
Yeah.
And those are one of the places
where it will happen.
Expeditiously.
Now play if you want to.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And Atlanta done got the same way.
Better price got high.
Yeah.
Because if you don't want to guess who will
hey i gotta get my paper before i get back out there that's why that's why that's why i'm out
