Raiders are releasing DT Kristen Wilkins with the designation of terminated bested veteran. The reporters, the Raiders reportedly voided the remaining 35.2 million guaranteed money left on Wilkins' contract last month due to how he treated the rehab

from the foot injury he suffered last season. Raiders released a statement and it reads as such, we have decided that it is in the best interest of the organization to move on from Christian Wilkins and he has been informed of his relief from the team. This franchise has a commitment to excellence on and off the field with no clear path or plan for the future return to play from Christian. This transaction is necessary for the entire organization to move forward and prepare for a new season. Well, you know what?

That lets me know there's language in the contract somewhere because they just said they voided keyword guaranteed. The fact that they can get void guaranteed money means there's language in the contract somewhere that says, if you do not do X, Y, and Z, then legally we can take your money back to you, even though it's said guaranteed. Check this out. The NFLPA has 50 days to file a grievance on Christian Wilkins behalf after the Raiders boarded 35.25 million worth of guaranteed money in his contract on June 4th,

8 million for this year, 27.25 for the next year. The grievance was filed this morning. A legal battle awaits. Yeah. They retired him. Yeah, what'd he do wrong though, huh? What'd you think he did wrong? The same thing.

I guess he wasn't there rehabbing or they said he wasn't taking the rehab. Hold on, let me go back and see what they said. He's been in, hold on. It said, last month due to how he treated the rehab from the foot injury he suffered, remember the Cowboys took 500,000 from Trayvon Diggs. Why?

Because of how he treated the rehab. They said he wasn't there enough. They didn't feel he was taking it serious enough. Remember, Ocho also, the Milwaukee Bucks, what did Dane want to do? He wanted to train in Portland to be close to his family. They didn't want to jive with that and they didn't want to get into it.

They said the best thing for us to do is to just move forward. Now it seems like the Raiders are trying to extract, get that, hey, we don't want to pay that. We ain't trying to pay 35 million. I see what the teams are doing. And I understand, I see their side is, okay, you're hurt, you're injured.

We want to be able to track how far along you are. We want to see where you are. To make sure, yep. Make sure, now listen, they rehabbing no matter what. They gonna do that because we want to see where you make sure you make make sure not listen They rehab and no matter what they don't do that because they do they want to play football But they just want to be on top of how it was going Who's doing it what's being done to make sure that you're doing everything you can to get yourself back on the field in a timely manner That's the only reason they're doing this only reason Trey bond digs was fine because we can't see it

We don't know exactly what you're doing. You can say you're doing it, which we know you are, but it's not to our satisfaction because it ain't coming from us. I'm sure if you were to talk to Kristen Wilkins and his representative, they'll tell you something different. But I do understand, but these teams, these teams for, I remember in the Super Bowl,

Hey, y'all, I'll get all that. I'll get all that money. When the season over, them boys trying to get up out of there.

And the fact that he had to deal with these injuries the past two years, man, I just feel like they was like, well, our time is up on that, you know what I mean? He was injured, Yonis was injured his first year. Then he got, then he, you know, kind of nicked, he was licked early, then now, and they say, you know what, let, instead of trying to let this thing play out, let's go ahead and cut the cord.

Cause sometimes, Ocho, people like, well, well, maybe we can salvage it. Nah, bro, you burnt this. Let's not peel this burnt edges away and try to eat the insides now bro Just go ahead throw this whole issue in the trash and move on and let's try to get another dish going Because that's what happened. that was week before I broke it. So they say it's gonna be like eight to 10 weeks. Yeah. So, oh Joe, you know what I'm saying? I go and like week six, I'm, you know, I'm running on the treadmill. Man, I try to open up, crack, tore all the scar tissue loose. Now I'm going for the rest of the year.

You got it on there anyway, didn't you? I tried to rush back out there. I already know. Hey, you know I had a thing. I said, man, you know I feel, oh Joe, you know I feel pretty good. You know I'm feeling like that. I said, let me open this thing. Let me open it up. Joe, I got ge man, you know, I feel, oh Joe, you know, I feel pretty good. You know, I'm feeling like that. I said, let me open this thing.

when the team recommended. Ocho, you remember the Michael Thomas situation? He had all off season and this man had surgery in June. Right. The situation with Wilkins and Vegas has been simmering for months as both sides disagreed on how the foot injury and recovery should be handled. Kristen Wilkins made 29 million last year and had already 25.5 million already this year. That's $50 million, $49.7 million for five games. Don't know, he trying to get out of there.

He trying to get out of there, Ocho? He was gonna make seven million, Ocho, he was gonna make seven million, which, he was gonna make seven million, which would have pushed the total to 50, basically about 57 million, with another 27.5 due. Therefore, it lies 84.5 million guaranteed. Hey, y'all want me to have surgery? Okay.

Now when I can't come back and play, remember y'all recommended this surgery. Right. What surgery you supposed to have? He had, I think he had a leg strength. I think he had a foot, he had a foot injury. Oh, okay. Hey, if you have a leg strength,

do you actually need, do you need surgery or is it optional? Sometimes they recommend it, but at the end of the look, Ocho, remember how I told you, if I'm gonna get hurt, I'm gonna get hurt on team's time. If I'm gonna have surgery, I'm gonna have it on your time. So when it goes awry, remember what you said, right? Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay. Damn.

I mean, he could go, okay, I got a doctor. Your doctor says this, okay, let's go get an independent doctor. Somebody that doesn't, because my doctor is gonna look out for the best interest of me. Your doctor is gonna look out for the best interest of the team.

Let's go get somebody that ain't got no dog in the fight. Let's go to Anderson up in Charlotte. Let's go to get somebody at the Curling Joe Clinic out here. Let's go see the Andrew, hey, ain't no, hey, I got time, I ain't got no time. I'm gonna go see James Andrews. I'm gonna go see Stedman Hawkins.

I'm gonna go see Dr. Anderson up in Charlotte. I'll go see Watkins. I don't care, I'm gonna go see five or six doctors. What is the best treatment for this? Okay, y'all here's the x-rays. This is what's going on. What is the best course of action? Do I let this heal on its own?

Will it heal on its own? Or do I need to have surgeon have this thing fixed? What do you guys recommend? Okay. I got seven, eight different opinions. Six of them says have surgery. Nah, six of them says let it heal to have surgery. Man, listen, you know, your body, you know, your body and everybody else.

He felt he didn't need surgery obviously, but with training camp start, let me take that back. I said, Liz Franks, he has a Jones fracture. Oh, well that, hey, that needs surgery there, baby. I think he had already had surgery. Maybe he needed another surgery. Hey, hold on, what's the Jones? What is that?

It's like, hold on. I'm finna- Oh, tell you, I gotta break that down for you, boy. Hey, but listen, don't get me to lying, boy. I ain't never been hurt, so I know Jones. A Jones fracture, also known as the fifth metatarsal fracture, is a break in the bone that connects the pinky toe to the foot base.

So the pinky toe, the little bone that's right here. Yeah. You need that, boy. Yeah. Hey, I would, I would, I would, I would. There it is right there. Oh, can y'all see that? Yeah, I can see it. Yeah. Hold on. Hey, I would, I would, I would, I would. There it is right there. Oh, can y'all see that? Yeah, I can see it.

He got that surgery, Ocho. I'm gonna play no game. Ocho, I got info. Ocho, Ocho, this is not like I'm in a contract year. I got 84 million guaranteed. Yeah. And I'm in Las Vegas with no state income tax. Right.

I guarantee you get picked up. I can tell you where you gonna go to. Where you going, Ocho? Over there with the star in the heaven. Cause it's not a want, it's a need. Uh-oh. But here's the thing though, Ocho. If he's not on a helmet. Cause it's not, it's not a bonus. A need. Oh, but here's the thing though. Ocho, if he's not healthy, can he pass a physical? If you, if you saying one thing and they trying to force you to do something else and it basically got the player feeling like, well, damn, you really don't care about me. You just want me to get out there on the field.

Ocho, no, Ocho, they telling him to have surgery. No, but he's trying to do it his way without having to have the surgery. I already, one, I'm not going back under the knife again. I'm gonna wait till he heal on his own. Then when I feel I'm healthy enough, I'm gonna get on the surgery. I already, one, I'm not going back under the knife again. Joe, I don't know how they do it. But in Denver, we had cameras everywhere. The meeting room, big meeting room, small meeting rooms, training room, locker room. Somebody posted that though.

That's a- But, oh, they got cameras in there too. But, and again, Ocho, why? Why are you dancing? It's like, if you injured, Oh Joe, you know this, Joe, you know this. If you injured, if they find, if you injured and you out, boy, they gonna act like a fool.

They're like, you injured and you out? Man, you know, hey, bro, you can't, there's certain things you have to do. And people that's not in this profession don't understand. When I got a life outside of this, bro, they're paying this man $84 million, fully guaranteed. They pay you X amount of dollars. Bro, if you injured, you can't be going out to the club.

It's really that simple. Not in get caught. It's hard to go out in a city and with a sports franchise, they gonna know. Nowadays it's hard to do any damn thing. Yes. It used to be, before I got there, like a couple of years before I got there,

the Broncos used to stay at home the night before the game. But after a couple of years before I got there, the Broncos used to stay at home the night before the game. But after a couple of DUIs, a couple of, you know, people getting in fights, I said, no, I'll take y'all ass to the hotel. Yeah. I hate this situation. I really do. Cause I mean, Wilkins is a phenomenal player. He's gone to the pro bowl quick. He's agile. He could rush the player. He's gone to the Pro Bowl quick. He's agile He could rush the passer. He can stop the run. I mean, he's a very very good defensive lineman Yeah, and for it to cut for it to come like this

But it's hard and see this you see what I'm saying. Oh Joe. This is why they hate to get guaranteed money. You see Cuz you cut now you get cuz cause now they'll take one situation like this and try to put it on the other four. Yeah. And use that as, as, as, as the poster, poster reason on why we don't do it. Yeah. But listen, there's more to the story. Obviously we only, you know, one side, we don't know his side.

I'm sure his side is, is valid. He has a reason for doing what he was doing. And it's unfortunate it's come to this. He's gonna land somewhere because there's too much of a, too much of a talent at the position. And the defensive tackles that can be used and use his service somewhere. I'm getting healthy, but I'm gonna get my money back.

I'm gonna get my money back. You think you're gonna win that grievance? I don't know. He might not get it. I mean, he might, look, without, I mean, the guarantee is a guarantee. Right. And see, that's the problem that you run into, Ocho,

you see? Now, they ain't just trying to take the guarantee back this year. They're trying to take back all the remaining guarantee. But why he wouldn't just had a surgery though? And they still was on pain? Yeah, absolutely. I don't get it.

He had made just a little less than $50 million for five games. So the good chance that he has the surgery again, he gonna miss this year. So he had another 27 million this year. So basically like 30, 37, 34 and a half million dollars on top of the money that he got. Matter of fact, not because if you only played five games,

right, and they didn't pay them that much already. And you ain't had surgery in the whole off season and now be going in the camp. This season again too, if you don't get surgery. Yeah. Man the hell with this shit. Right, cause they looked at he had surgery in October. So they probably saw this thing around,

what say like March, April, and it wasn't healing properly. Right. So they say, hey, let's go ahead and get that. And he like, nah. Cause remember Michael Thomas had that injury. And that was my question on Joe. Bro, you had the whole off season. So you got done.

So you had in the January, February, March, April, May. You don't get the surgery till June and you go into camp in July. Right. And you don't understand why the Saints are upset Yeah and I'm confused But hey Hopefully they get it resolved Jayler Hurst was asked if he will open up his play style more now that he's won a Super Bowl

He said no, I went a very long time being told I got to do it a certain type of way. That didn't get me the win when I did how everyone told me to. When you put so much energy into personal performance, you kind of lose sight of the main thing of winning. Since the loss in 2022, it's been my main motivation to find ways to win. Regardless of how it looks, I just want to find ways to win regardless of how it looks. I just want to find ways

Thinking so far ahead, one game at a time. Every player ahead, in one game at a time. Every player should be thinking one game at a time. We already know at the end of the day. They only ask guys that haven't won the Super Bowl. You think they asked, did they ever ask Tom Brady about the Super Bowl? No. Did they ask Patrick Mahone about the Super Bowl?

Well, he should, because y' start, y'all start slow. So something has to change, change something up for Joe.
