Now, you know, Johnny was watching his team take apart LSU, and he forgot he had an appointment already scheduled. So he's going to be running a little late.
Starting point is 00:04:51 He'll be joining us shortly. But I'm sure he's very, very excited about the beat down the Texas A&M. And they look really, really impressive today. They took apart LSU. We're going to get into that game. But Brian Kelly, you're on bar time, bro. You're on bar time. So if I'm you, I'm telling my agent to go on put some feelings out there.
Starting point is 00:05:09 I'm interested in the Penn State job. I'm interested in every other job because LSU is not about to be interested in you at the end of the season. Go ahead, don't you. I got a question before you go. Is he really on borrow time understanding how great and how good the team is he actually played, one of the few teams that are undefeated in college football? So are they really basing them losing to Texas A&M as a reason to be fired? He lost other games.
Starting point is 00:05:33 He said he came to win a national championship. Okay, okay. Is he closer to winning a championship than when he got there or is he further away? He might be a little further away. Yeah, okay. So that explains. Please make sure you hit that subscribe button. Please make sure you hit the like button.

As I mentioned earlier, Johnny's running a few minutes late. He's going to join us. We got a very, very special guest joining us a little later in the show. Vanderbilt star quarterback Diego Pavia will be joining us. Big win today against Missouri. That was very, very impressive the way they battled back and found a way to win that ball game.
Starting point is 00:07:14 But the game we just watched, Texas A&M moved to 8-0 the first time since 19. 1992, they've been eight and Ocho, they got, they looked very good. And Marcel Reed, who had two turnovers coming into the game. So he had two turnovers in the first two games. He had two today. One, you know, the ball got tipped at the line of scrimmage. The guy made a heck of a play. The other one, he just stared the guy down and the safety, read his eyes and made a great,
Starting point is 00:07:38 did a great job of picking the ball off. I commend Reed for getting him down because if he don't make that tackle, the guy's probably going to have a hundred and three hundred and four yards. House call. House call. Yep. touchdown. But when they came out in the second half, the score was 18, 14 LSU, you saw what the final score was. They just systematically just took them down. Concepcion, you know, he caught
Starting point is 00:07:58 a touchdown early in the game and then he took a punt back. And that was a proverbial straw that broke the camel's back. But Texas A&M looked really good. They're one of the best teams that I've seen play college football this year. Them, Ohio State, Indiana looked really good. We're going to talk about the Alabama who had to fight back from an eight-point deficit in the fourth quarter on the road, found a way to get that done. But Ocho, watching this game, Texas A&M against LSU, what did you like about what you saw from LASU? Listen, from what I saw in the game in this entirety, not only Texas A&M, I thought it
Starting point is 00:08:28 would be a good game. I thought the game, the way it looked in the first half, would obviously creep into the second half and it would be more of an exciting game. But obviously, what I saw in the second half is one of the reasons why Texas A&M is one of the better teams in college football. The adjustments that they made in halftime, I'm not sure what coach told them. offensively, especially defensively, but they dominated the entire second half, almost as if LSU didn't even belong on the goddamn field.
Starting point is 00:08:53 That's how bad it looked. They dominated in all three phases of the games, including special teams as well. No, what he told them, say, just, if we, oh, just think about it, they turn the ball of, they're driving the ball. Yeah. They have a 72, a 72-yard drive. They ends in the, uh, ends up with an interception in the touchdown, uh, in the end zone. So they're about to score there.
Starting point is 00:09:14 At worst-case scenario, they're going to get, three points. Yeah. So they're about to score there. They're driving the ball again. And the guy tips it at the line of scrimmage and the linebacker picks it. So all they, I'm sure Coach Elko, all they told him is like, guys, if we take care of football, we can beat this team.
Starting point is 00:09:29 They don't even belong on the field with us because that defense was really getting after Nussma. They really didn't do anything. They got points off turnovers. If we take care of the football, we don't feel they can beat us. We don't feel, first of all, I don't feel they should be on the field with us. Right. Hey, I, I kind of feel bad.
Starting point is 00:09:44 watching the game honestly I felt bad for the quarterback I felt bad for Nussmeyer Nussmeyer yes I really felt bad because when you're in a situation like that where your officer line is getting dominated you continuously keep getting hit and you have to hold your composure you can't show any emotion as a quarterback especially your officer line is playing bad you can't fuss to anybody individually because I mean that that has to suck as a quarterback and it's funny how all quarterbacks with regards to what level you play at, that you have to keep your composure and contain,
Starting point is 00:10:18 you know, not getting angry when your old line is, is just allowing you to get obliterated, obliterated. How you say it? That's right. Obliterated. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's it. I never used that word before.
Starting point is 00:10:33 I've been working on my big words. Yeah, yeah. I mean, do you go look at it, Texas, and then we're right down the field, boom, score. Right down the field score. quick. And they just turned the ball over. And if you look at the second half,
Starting point is 00:10:47 they scored 35 straight points. They got 21 in the third quarter, and they got another 14 in the fourth. LSU taxed on a late touchdown with under a minute to go. But the game ball tends and purposes. Once they got, the score got to 2818,
Starting point is 00:11:00 I didn't feel because I really hadn't seen LSU consistently drive the football. I didn't think at that point in time unless Texas A&M turned the football over, I didn't feel LSU could do anything to keep up with it. So unless they got to, you know, force A&M to turn the ball over, they can get a scoop and score, you know, something like that.
Starting point is 00:11:19 But other than that, I didn't see, based on what I had saw up until that point. Right. I didn't see, I didn't see anything. I didn't see enough fighting LSU to make me think that they could come back and win this ball game. Texas A&M, Marcel Reed had another outstanding game. He threw the ball 12 of 21, 202, two touchdowns, two interceptions. He had 13 rushes for 108 yards, two touchdowns. They ran the ball, 40 attempts, 224 yards.
Starting point is 00:11:43 about five point six yards of carry and they had four rushing touchdowns and they had two touchdowns on the ground uh marcia rick marcia reed threw for two touchdowns they had four rushing touchdowns on the ground so they just they did a number on lSU and uh for me just looking at it right it's time for him to go i mean sometimes ocho your words just fall on deaf ears yes sir and i understand in college because of the turnover you see it more in um in pro football because the guys stay a little longer. Yes. But his words are not resonating.
Starting point is 00:12:15 Then, I mean, and this game is not indicative. Right. Of anything. So I'm not just basing it on this game, but what's LSU's record? LSU. I think they were five and two.
Starting point is 00:12:30 They lost the night. I think they five and three. They lost the previews week. No, they're five and three now. Yeah, so they were five and two coming into the game. Yeah, I was right. And it was the team that they were losing to, losing to this team, But it's how they lost.
Starting point is 00:12:42 Sometimes it's more important to how you lose than that you lose. And you see Penn State, it wasn't that they've lost. It's how they lost. Lost, yeah. It's how. You can't keep losing the team
Starting point is 00:12:56 that you're favored to beat by 20. And granted, they weren't favor to win this ball game. Right. In LSU and Death Valley, and at one point in time, you're down 49 to 18? Oh, no, no, no. You know, and think about the money that they're paying him and that staff. Yes.
Starting point is 00:13:16 We talked about this the other night, Ocho, is that college football is getting a lot like NFL because you're paying college coaches, and they're getting these premium DCs and OCs, and you're paying a big staff, and you're having to pay players now. So this long leash that you normally would have, you can get into more.
Starting point is 00:13:36 But also, this is the problem. At one point, I know we always point, we always point to the coaches we always point to the coaches the money they're making obviously you're paying players now but what happens when the players aren't playing with the par despite what the money that despite the money they are making at the college level hell when huh now i'm going to say what happens when the players aren't playing up the par despite the in-out n i'll money they are making and it's always the coach's fault did that mean that that's unfair if we don't have the players even though they're getting paid we don't have the players
Starting point is 00:14:07 to compete with the better teams well hell how do you It's my fault as a coach. I can only do so much. I can only teach and coach so much. At some point, the players got to execute the goddamn, I mean, you know what? I'm going to say curriculum. The goddamn curriculum, shit.
Starting point is 00:14:22 Who recruited those players? Ah. Okay, you're right. Those are the players that he said gave him the best chance to do. He the one that left Notre Dame. Normally coaches don't leave, you don't leave Michigan, you don't leave Ohio State, you don't leave Notre Dame,
Starting point is 00:14:39 you don't leave Alabama. You don't leave places like that. Now, if you're going to go to the NFL, I get it. But you don't normally leave those programs and go to another collegiate program. Right. Those are the best of the best. He left Notre Dame,
Starting point is 00:14:55 said he wanted to compete for a national championship because he didn't feel he could do it there. Although he had been in the national championship game with Notre Dame, and they got the brakes beat off of him by Alabama. So he had been in that before. just say you know what guys LSU offer me an ishton of money
Starting point is 00:15:12 and I'm going down there Wait a minute Now along with getting an itch ton of money Also understand the pedigree of athletes That come through LSU That come through the boot Huh? You're Justin Jefferson You Jamar Chase's
Starting point is 00:15:27 So I'm thinking that pipeline of great players Not only receivers but other skill positions as well I will always have an opportunity To get them coming through here Oh you'd be like Malik neighbors? Oh, you mean like Brian Thomas Jr.? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:41 Oh, and he didn't win no national championship with them guys. Okay, you got me. You got you. Okay, you got me. But also, hey, listen, having those type of players gives you a better chance of getting them. Now, do they have anything, anything close to that right now? Oh, I don't think.
Starting point is 00:15:58 If you don't mind me asking Ocho, who was throwing the ball to them? Not the Hizman trophy winner Jane Daniels. Yeah, that's him. Yeah, that's him. Oh. So what is the likelihood if you're not competing for a national championship and you got, what, three guys that go in the first? I mean, I think Brian Thomas Jr. was the first runner.
Starting point is 00:16:19 Yeah, he was. Jaydon Daniels the number two pick. The League Neighbors were the first round pick for the giant. Brian Thomas Jr. If you don't win a national championship with those guys, what makes you think? That was probably your best opportunity. Yeah. When Jaden was there, absolutely.
Starting point is 00:16:34 Yes. Absolutely. I just think it's time. I think, you know, LSU is probably like, look, man, we're not close. We're not close. We're not, because now you see A&M, they're moving up. Yeah. Ole Miss, they're moving up.
Starting point is 00:16:53 Look good. Look, I can live with. If Alabama's doing this does, I can live with that. That's Alabama. Right. If Georgia's doing this, I can live with that. Vanderbilt beat us. Vanderbilt beaters.
Starting point is 00:17:06 This ain't the same. Vanderbilt now. That should never be the same LSU. That should be the same LSU. That should be the LSU that produce all those first round, those high round draft picks and put player after player after player after player in the NFL. Yeah. So I get it.
Starting point is 00:17:23 You're right, dude, absolutely right. This is not the Vanderbilt that I, when I was in college and the last 10 years, the last 15 years, just say the last five years, the last two years, last year they got Alabama. We thought that was a fluke. This year they come back and they get LSU and they played. Alabama really close. The quarterback probably had a couple of
Starting point is 00:17:40 turnovers, uncharacteristic turnovers. But if you can't consistently, so now you losing the Alabama. You losing the Ole Miss. You losing it. I think Florida got him. I just don't know, I just don't know, Ocho,
Starting point is 00:17:56 if there's going to be a better scenario or there's a better situation than what he currently has and he can't win. It can't win. LSU is about, they're trying to win the national championship. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:06 You know it's really crazy though if you think about the landscape of college football and you're saying that he needs to be fired because he can't be the better teams in college football and a 5 and 3 LSU team the coach deserves to be fired when other coaches and other teams would be elated and happy to even be above 500 and winning and being 5 and 3. It's not your record. It's where you are and what's the expectations that comes along
Starting point is 00:18:41 with where you are. You know, A, yeah, you can be ecstatic about being 5'3, but how close is that getting you to play for an SEC championship? How close is that to getting you to play for a college football championship?
Starting point is 00:18:55 That ain't close. That is not going to happen. So here's another year that's going to go by to guess what? LSU is not complete competing for an SEC title and they're not going to be in the college football playoffs. And that's crazy how just having a winning season is not enough. Not in some program.
Starting point is 00:19:10 Not when you pay in that kind of money, Joe. Right. Think about the kind of money that they've invested in this program. Remember, Brian Kelly's probably making $10 million a year. Yeah. Okay, you're paying an offensive coordinator at least a million, a million and a half. Same thing with the D.C.
Starting point is 00:19:26 And then all your other staff. So you might got $15, $16, $17 million invested in a staff. Now I throw another $4, $5 million on top. of that for NIL so I got a 20 I got a 20 million I'm pumping out 20 million dollars who what at least get me to the FCC championship game right at least let me get let me see what it's like oh because I cut the college bowl money I mean the college football playoff money that's huge money oh yeah let me get some of that let me get at that yeah and listen you know what and you can blame all the players that came through LSU honey badger yeah Jumar Joe Burrow because
Starting point is 00:20:02 the expectation for them for when they're gone And Pat P. Yeah. Listen, the expectations are high. If you don't reach a certain college football playoffs or competing for a national championship, you know what, even if it's a winner season, it's a fucking failure.
Starting point is 00:20:18 Yes. He said he wanted to go somewhere to compete for a national championship. He opened his mouth. Ain't nobody asking why he was going down there. Right, right, right. Forget the fact that they paid you probably double the salary that you was making at a Notre Dame, but that's not the here and north there.
Starting point is 00:20:35 or at least money time, one of a half times, that would you make it? You said you want to compete for a national championship. Yeah. I believe right now they're further away than they were when he arrived. Yeah. So if I'm further away than when you arrive and we're paying you this kind of money, it doesn't make sense to me.
Starting point is 00:20:52 It doesn't make sense to me to keep paying for something when I don't know it doesn't work. At what point in time, Ocho, okay, I got this car. And one week is the radiator. The next week is the transmission. And the week after that is the catalytic converter. And the next week of that is the voltage record. At some point in time, it's just time to get me a new car.
Starting point is 00:21:13 Yeah. At some point in time, Ocho, it's just time to get me a new coach. Yeah. Damn. Hey, but Unk, can I tell you something? Yes. Sometimes you got to be careful what you wish for. And this is for LSU fans in general.
Starting point is 00:21:28 Getting a new coach and still having the same players, yeah. I mean, Doug. Does anything really change if you still changing the coach? It's like, it's like, hey, you got it, you got a car, right? Yeah. It ain't running good because of the engine you got, but you change the goddamn tires and expected to drive different because you put new tires on that off. My bad, on it.
Starting point is 00:21:52 You know what I mean? Yes. You're still going to need the players. You're still going to need the talent at certain positions. You need some dogs, maybe two or three of them. You got to be the whole team, just two or three. that can make a difference that can impact you on defense that can make an impact on offense if you didn't got that here if you didn't got no quarterback you might as well chalk up the whole
Starting point is 00:22:12 season well Bryce Underwood the quarterback that went to Michigan he was supposed to go to LSU and then the big donors at L Michigan stepped in yeah and you know 12 a half million dollars over four years they lose out now would he have helped the situation maybe, but we don't know. All we can do is go by what they currently have, and what they currently have is not enough to help them compete for an SEC title. Because at the end of the day, Ocho,
Starting point is 00:22:46 without competing for an SEC title, how do you get to go to the college football player? Because the teams are so good. I mean, you got Alabama with one loss. I think you got Ole Miss with one loss. You got A&N with no losses. You got Georgia with one loss. So where does that look?
Starting point is 00:23:03 leave you with three losses right yeah out the picture yeah hey inside the house in the window looking through the blinds yeah and everybody else what's vanderbilt's record the banderbilt and banderbils beat you so you can't leap frog them no you still got tennessee got a better record to you yeah i think texas has a better record to you Oklahoma has a better record to you bang you see how far you down there yeah they're like nah That is, that's not, that's not what we pay for. I mean, give A&M, A&M look really good. They got it after they hunted the quarterback.
Starting point is 00:23:40 That defense. Yeah, yeah, man. They got up to the quarterback. That offense is really efficient. You got Marcel Reed with those legs and he can throw the ball. They got guys that can make plays. I mean, the way he threw that overrop, just over the outset, stretched guy's hand, and the guy snagged it with one hand.
Starting point is 00:23:56 Yeah, yeah, and took off running. Oh, nice. Yeah, yeah. They got a, they got a very, very, very. very good squad. It's going to be interesting to see. I think they're on the same side as Alabama. I think they're on that same side as Bama.
Starting point is 00:24:13 Hey, speaking of quarterbacks, right? And speaking of Reese and Pavia, I'm not sure if Carson Beck is in the conversation. I still have yet. We in week eight. We're going into week eight. I ain't heard nothing about Heisman trophy,
Starting point is 00:24:27 who might be the front run. I haven't heard anything. No. The way Reed's played, I think he's in the continue. attention eight and old guys playing well star uh tie simpson to alabama mindozo i watched him today um um against ucela now whew i understand ucela went back-to-back games but they leave a lot to be desired they drop 50 50 on them one of the division was a common game by 50
Starting point is 00:24:50 ucala since they fired coast they won the last three now yeah until they met and let's they met in the end of the day yeah indiana's quarterback is looking good uh yeah but it's still wide open, no, Cho. It's wide open. It's going to come down. Hell, it might come down to a championship game. But I don't think anybody, anybody is running away with it. It's not like, oh, yeah, yeah, that's the
Starting point is 00:25:13 Heisman trophy winner right there. No, that is, that's not it. The fact that we're in the NIO money era in general, where players are able to be where players are able to get paid for their services, there has been no one to stand out this year
Starting point is 00:25:29 that is a Joe Burrow type. or Cam Newton or Jaden Daniels or C.J. Stroud, someone that just jumps out at you on tape and knowing that no matter what, we have a chance as long as this individual is on the field and has a ball in his hands all the time. We have a chance. There's nothing like that this year.
Starting point is 00:25:48 Yeah. Diego Pavia, who's going to join us a little later. Yeah, he's in the running. Yeah. Considering what Vanderbilt normally has been and the way he has them positioned right now, Yeah, they're definitely in the mix. Hey, you know what?
Starting point is 00:26:03 Excuse me, excuse my lack of knowledge which was just based on watching Pavia the past three, four weeks. Is it his comparison? Am I wrong to say Baker Mayfield typeish? Nah, no, yes. He kind of reminds you more of Johnny. But his runs are more designed than Johnny.
Starting point is 00:26:23 Johnny was like, Johnny would drop back to pass. I think they had every intention for Johnny to pass. He's like, nah, it ain't there. I'm mad at him. Yeah, and he was all over the place. Right. But, and I think that, you know, Johnny is, is mentoring him because he, Johnny probably sees himself a lot in here.
Starting point is 00:26:41 Right. Number four, Alabama rally to beat South Carolina 29, 22 at Williams-Bright Stadium for its seventh straight win. Jeremy Bernard scored two touchdowns in the final two and a half minutes. Ty Simpson threw for 253 yards. Two touchdowns, Deshaun Jones returned an interception 18 yards of the score. Look, South Carolina had them, had them on the ropes. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:04 They go get a touchdown. Okay. South Carolina can get the ball, run all the time off the clock, and get a field goal or a touchdown and win the game. Give loss an unbelievable credit because they have sellers locked up, and he rips the ball out. And I know people like, man, what the quarterback's doing, he probably was instructed if they get past, let him score.
Starting point is 00:27:27 Let him go. The one thing we don't want to do is to have them run time. clock and then kick a walk-off field goal. So the guy, Dave, he had a great call. And Bernard is their best receiver. Yeah. What's up, everybody?

Nine times out of ten, they called me a massacist, rolled their eyes, or just asked, why.
Starting point is 00:28:47 Benghazi, the truth became a web of lies. It's almost a dirty word, one that connotes conspiracy theory. Will we ever get the truth about the Benghazi massacre? Bad faith political warfare. and, frankly, bullshit. We kill the ambassador just to cover something up. You put two and two together. Was it an overblown distraction or a sinister conspiracy?
Starting point is 00:29:10 Benghazi is a rosetta stone for everything that's been going on for the last 20 years. I'm Leon Nefok from Prologue Projects and Pushkin Industries. Starting point is 00:31:28 Toyota, the official automotive partner of the NFL. Visit Toyota.com slash NFL now to learn more. Whoa, whoa. I know what Williams will be. Ocho, he drops too many passes. He drops entirely too many passes. Bernard is their best receiver. Okay.
Starting point is 00:31:43 Oh, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Stay with me real quick. Okay. Bernard is their most consistent receiver. He's not their best receiver. Their best receiver is Ryan Williams. Ryan Williams might be better in the pro? Not right now, Ocho.
Starting point is 00:31:57 Okay. So you're based on everything. And let me ask you a question. If you didn't see last year and you just watching this year, what would you say that? Okay, no, Bernard is actually their best receiver. Okay. I can't, look, we gave him $3 million on NIL money for last year. We're talking about this year.
Starting point is 00:32:13 Ocho, he dropped far too many passes, Ocho. Yeah. I mean, far too many. Oh, Joe, you can't, you come on now. Yeah. You, if you that guy and dropping passes like that. Yeah. I don't know if I've ever seen a receiver, like with the ability that he has and knowing what he's
Starting point is 00:32:28 capable of to drop as many passes as he does. I don't know if it's a lack of concentration. I don't know what it is. But he's dropping routine stuff. Oh, Joe, stuff that he's supposed to stick in his back pocket. Yeah, yeah. You got to go back to the basics, man.
Starting point is 00:32:46 You got to go back to the basis. Obviously, just like baseball, you know, you have sluggers. Sometimes sluggers go on the slump. Sometimes they go in a slump, and that slump can last for a few games. But once you come up out of that slump and get your confidence back, That's all it comes down to, not only your eyes and seeing the ball all the way in, but also that confidence in your head, oh, I'm going to get jiggy with this. I'm going to get jiggy with this, and most of the time that confidence comes with what?
Starting point is 00:33:11 With repetition of catching the ball. Not in goddamn practice. Forget doing it in the practice. Catch it in the game. Catching it early, feeling it early, feel like you're a part of the offense, and he'll get himself back into a groove. Once you get back in that groove, you'll be okay. Because even me, as much trash as I talk on, if I drop up, a ball, I got the jitters.
Starting point is 00:33:30 I'm not even going to lie to you. I got the jitters because the next ball that comes, I ain't used a nair hand. It's going to hit the eight and the five. It's going to hit the eight and the five and I'm going to cradle it and make sure I get it. Now, once I get that confidence and I'm feeling like, okay, I can relax now. Now I can get myself back in the room. Then I'm
Starting point is 00:33:46 snatching everything out there. Right. Yeah. Todd Simpson was 24, 43, 253, two touchdowns. They pressured him an unbelievable amount of times. Alabama really didn't run the football today so they weren't able to keep those rushers at bay barrett had an outstanding game the defensive lineman from south carolina they got a couple of guys over there
Starting point is 00:34:06 that's going to be playing on sunday we got some guys just going to be playing on sunday um and when you can't run the football and a team can just pin their ears back because they were able to stop you with their front four right and then come hunt i mean they had 23 rushes for 72 yards basically three yards of carry with a long of 25 and that was Bernard and you know it's funny if
Starting point is 00:34:31 if South Carolina was able to stop them the way they stopped the run if they were to stop with the backing was able to stop the pass or it would have been a different ball game
Starting point is 00:34:40 yeah it would have been a whole different ball game but when Alabama needed to make plays they made especially not the final drive but the drive before and they needed to go down
Starting point is 00:34:51 and get points out of it, they were able to do that. And that's how you measure a team. Okay, when you have to have it, you absolutely have to have it. Can you go get it? Can your offense stay on the field? Can you convert third downs? Can you stay in front of the sticks?
Starting point is 00:35:10 Instead of being second and ten, can you make it second and six, second and five? Instead of third and long, can you make it third in one to three, third and three to five? Things that are manageable. You're not going to keep picking up third and long. You're not going to keep picking up third and eight, third and ten, third and 13, second and 14.
Starting point is 00:35:29 You're not going to keep, you're not going to keep converting. The shorter the distance, the more apt you are to convert that. And give Alabama credit, give their defense credit because when they needed to, they needed to bow their backs, they did that as well because they took the ball from it. They took the ball from South Carolina and put their offense on a short field. But, uh, yeah, look, look. I thought I would get more from sellers this year.
Starting point is 00:35:53 I'm kind of disappointed in the way he's played this year. He hadn't been what I thought he was going to be. I thought because watching him last year and seeing how well he played last year, I thought this year he'd come in and just step pick right up where he left off and play even better. That was my expectation. And, you know, he might come out and he still might be a high round draft pick. But I definitely thought I would see more from him to more from him this year. One game he got knocked.
Starting point is 00:36:20 I forget what game. a Missouri game, he ended up getting knocked out of that game. And he just had, he hadn't played well this year. He hadn't played well this year. That, you threw an interception and he had, you know, that, the interception really wasn't his fault. His
Starting point is 00:36:35 guy tipped it, popped up in there and he got a pick six on that. But, Ocho, you cannot, you cannot fumble the ball. No. In negative territory and have it ripped out. You can't, you can't let them rip that ball out.
Starting point is 00:36:50 Give Alabama credit. And give lossing credit, the guy that poured it out. He saw the head him. He wasn't going nowhere. So now let me just attack the football. Yeah. Did a great job of popping it out. Alabama showed me something.
Starting point is 00:37:03 They're still not out of the wood. They still got Auburn. As put Alabama schedule up. Um, they, um, but Alabama, number, uh, number four, uh, Crimson Tide. They're playing well since that first game. I mean, think about where they're,
Starting point is 00:37:24 think about that after the first game. We saw Alabama and we thought Alabama was going to go here and Florida State was going to go there. Go there, yeah. Alabama is going here and Florida State's going there. Complete, complete opposite. It's, it's, it's, it's, a small sample size of where you at,
Starting point is 00:37:42 but it's not, it's not the true identity. It's too early in the season. It's too early in the season. They get LSU at home. That's a win. They get, oh, Oklahoma at home. That's going to be a good one.
Starting point is 00:37:54 Eastern Illinois at home. That's a win. And they're on the road at Auburn, Iron Bowl. That's going to be a good one. That's going to be a good one. That's going to be a good one. Because, you know, when you play a rival, it doesn't matter. Throw the records out of the window.
Starting point is 00:38:09 Because guess what? That might be for a chance to go to the SEC championship game. That might be for a chance to play for the college football playoff. So Auburn say, look, we ain't got no chance for none of that. so you know what misery loves company well if we ain't got no if we ain't got no lights you ain't been to have no gas so hey i want everybody hey we can't see and you cold so that works out there everybody miserable oh cho that's how that's i look at everybody miserable yeah i mean they go on the roll i mean think about it they beat georgia
Starting point is 00:38:46 i mean they got a very impressive resume think about it they got a very impressive resume think about it They beat number five, Georgia, number 16, Vandy, number 14, Missouri, number 11, Tennessee. Now, if they beat LSU, I don't know if LSU will be ranked at the time. They might fall out of the top 25. Right. Oklahoma lost today. They won't fall out of the top 25. But if you beat one, two, three, four, five, five ranked teams.
Starting point is 00:39:12 Yeah. That's going to, the committee is going to really, going to really find that impressive. Absolutely. And obviously, you know, the committee now only going to find an impressive, but you know, who moves a needle? Alabama moved the needle. Alabama travel, yeah, absolutely. Economically at that. And you know what it's about when it comes to the goddamn playoffs.
Starting point is 00:39:34 Yeah. We need to be able to make as much as possible the teams that we choose and have to be on this road. And who does that better than roll tag? Road tag on travel. And I think the thing is, I'm going to join the college. football playoff now, the first game is at home. So you know Alabama's going to sell out. You know, any of these teams in the SEC and for the most part, Ohio State teams like
Starting point is 00:40:00 that, come on, you know what they do. You know who they are. Absolutely. And their fan bases travel. Very well. They travel. So, you know, we're trying to get 80, $85, $90,000 in the stadiums every time we have a college football playoff game.
Starting point is 00:40:17 And it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter where you play. Alabama's going. Alabama's going to go. They're going to, hey, load up the RVs and they're going to go get the Airbnb's, and they're going to, they're coming. They're going to bring that economic boom.
Starting point is 00:40:32 Yeah. The Ohio states, the Georgia, those teams, they travel. Yeah. And that means a lot. Now, the resume speaks for itself. I mean, like I said, number 14, Missouri, number 11 of Tennessee, number 15 vanded, number five, Georgia.
Starting point is 00:40:48 big time yeah um on the road beat south carolina i and they beat georgia on the road and they beat missouri on the road and they yeah beat south carolina now south carolina is not what we thought they were going to be right um which is disappointing to me but hey i beat who on my schedule and they're on the schedule and we beat them um but i was very impressed with i was very impressed. You know, Ty Simpson didn't have his best game today. He had Bernard on the overrout and just overshot him because if he catches it, he's out the gate, he's gone.
Starting point is 00:41:25 He's gone, yeah. He gone. And he just overshot him, and he knew it. I mean, you see him on the side, like, my bad. But I like Bernard. I like Bernard. He's consistent. He twitchy. Now, I don't know how fast he is, oh, Joe, but he twitchy. Yeah, yeah, he is. Yeah, man. And
Starting point is 00:41:41 But Alabama, Alabama has to be pleased, Kalin DeBoar, because, you know, the lady wanted to win the lottery because you wanted him up out of there. She said the first thing I'm going to do, because I'm going to pay him Alabama 70B, whatever he take, and he'll go be gone. Yeah, a matter of fact, after they lost
Starting point is 00:41:57 that LSU game, that's all, the whole timeline. It's talking about him getting up out of there. Well, God damn. Oh, yeah, man, then no play. You got to understand the unprecedented level of success that they've had for the last 20,
Starting point is 00:42:13 oh, Cho, they've won six national championships, they played for two others, and they've been in the college football playoffs up to time. Times, yeah. So think about it. That's when the fan base gets spoiled. Right. Every three years we win the national championship.
Starting point is 00:42:36 Every other year we're playing for an SEC title. Yeah. Every other year we're in the college football playoffs. So when you, hey, I mean, Kellen DeBoer lost three games last year. Fire him, you got to go. Also, this is the 17 time in 18 years they've started at least seven or, what is it, 71? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:01 17 time in 18 years that they've started at least 71. Man, let me tell you. Babel fan, they're trying to hear no 10 and 3. If it's 10 and 3, you better have a national championship, to it. Right. 10 and 3 and you didn't play for an FCC title and you didn't go to the college football player, man, please. Yeah, he's got, he's got the rule. Yeah, they tried to hear that. None of that. So, uh, is he, is he ready? Okay.
Starting point is 00:43:44 We got our very special guest joining us tonight. Today, Vandy had his first appearance on college game day in 17 years, and the Campt Commodores beat Missouri to extend the program's best start in 80 years. Better yet, three wins have come against AP top 25 teams the first time in Vandy history, and here he is a large part of that, the reason why the Vanderbilt Commodores have had success, the quarterback Diego Pavia. Diego, what's going on, bro? You mute, you muted.
Starting point is 00:44:17 My bad, my bad. What's up, y'all? I appreciate y'all how to be. I got some people in the background, though, that want to say, what's up? All right, what's up? Hey, that's what's up? Hey, that's what's up, how you doing, man?
Starting point is 00:44:32 What's up, everybody? Daniel Jeremiah here. And I'm Bucky Brooks. On Move the Sticks, we take you inside the game from scouting reports and player development to team-building philosophies, coaching trends, and how front offices construct winning rosters.

Starting point is 00:48:27 Yeah, yeah, Chad. Hey, hey, Ted, hey, I need some feet. I need some feet drills, Chad. Yeah, yeah, O.D. Well, bro, we appreciate you up. After a big win like that, we know normally you'd be out probably celebrate with the boys. but we appreciate you giving us some of your time. Well, honey, you know the party don't start until after 12, so we're all.
Starting point is 00:48:49 Okay, that's what's up. That's what's up. So you can't be there when the party starts. You've got to walk in, let them know you there. Now we're thinking alike, huh? When this season, look, after last year what you were able to do, you beat Alabama for the first time and forever. And so now you set expectations.
Starting point is 00:49:08 Coming into this season, what were the expectations for you and this ball club? Well, we set out. in January that we want to win the national championship, we feel like we're the best team in college football still. Our defense is really good. Our offense is good. And our special team is good. So we just put those three together. Shoot. You know what it is.
Starting point is 00:49:29 And you, you, the way you've been playing, you kind of caught people by surprise last year, but the way you played last year. So you know the expectations coming in this year. You're supposed to improve on last year's production. How have you been able to stay level even keel? Don't get too high. Don't read the press, the internet, the press clip, and let everybody pat you on the back and tell you how great you are. You've stayed really level-headed, but you've played
Starting point is 00:49:55 exceptional well this year. Coming into this year, a lot of people were like, man, Diego's figured out. He's washed. He ain't got it. You know what I mean? Real shit. That's what they were saying. Yeah, yeah. Okay. You know, come show me. Come show me I ain't got it. Come show me you got me figure it out. But you, I think the most important thing, though, is we're a team, like, we all got each other six. That's how it is. I like that. Hey, you're confident. Where are you from originally? Albuquerque, New Mexico. They call it Albuquerque, New Mexico, though. Yeah, I like it. The confidence you have, not only the way you play, the way you speak, the way you carry yourself, the way you walk, you move, your aura, you move like you him.
Starting point is 00:50:38 Where is that confidence come from, especially at the quarterback position? Most of the time is frowned upon. They want to be buttoned up and say all the right things. But I like your style. I like your style. And do you think once you get to the next level, please tell me you will remain the same way you are now. I'm going to be the same killer. I've always been.
Starting point is 00:50:56 I've been doing this shit since Juko. You feel me? But no one believed in me. No. I like it. I was a negative star. You ever see one of those? I like it, I like it.
Starting point is 00:51:11 But your thing is, I'm looking at your numbers. I mean, 10 or 19 and 129, you didn't have the greatest day, but you found a way when the rubber needed to meet the road, when you need, hey, it's 1010. And it's four minutes in the ball game and we got to go down and get a touchdown because we're going to put pressure on you. We don't want you to kick no field goal. We want you to come down against our defense
Starting point is 00:51:33 and have to get a tub because I'm going to get this. in the end zone. Hey, hey, we're going to get this ball. When I throw it, you catch it. When I hand it to you,
Starting point is 00:51:42 just hold on to it because we're going to get this ball in the end zone. And we're going to put pressure on them to make them go down and get a touchdown against our defense. I was just in the huddle
Starting point is 00:51:53 and we came off the timeout and the first play was supposed to go to me and then they changed it up and gave it to SETI. SETI got it closer or whatever. And I knew that next play. I knew that.
Starting point is 00:52:04 I knew that bitch was going to me so I was like shit Hey so let me ask you this they throw the hell Mary and the guy catches it
Starting point is 00:52:16 because the officials at first said no good but they review it and then look he caught it but he was at the one I was like oh shit
Starting point is 00:52:26 we're going into overtime and the crazy thing is is that we went into overtime with them last year too but the score was 20 so it was like I was like oh shit that should come
Starting point is 00:52:34 my number. But it was going to swing our way this time, you know? Right, right. So now, look, you're 7 and 1. There's still a chance you guys can get to the SEC championship game. You go to the SEC championship game. Anything can happen. You know you win the SEC, you're going to the college football player. That's the one thing we know. Whoever, moving forward from now until perpetuity, if you win the SEC championship, you're going to be in the college football player. So now, how do you remain, how do you keep this team focused. They're like, look, guys, we really haven't accomplished anything yet. Yeah, we're seven and one and we're happy. And the words of young thug, whoop-de-do, whoop-de-do, we seven-and-one.
Starting point is 00:53:15 But now I'm trying to, how do I get to be eight and one? So what's your message? What's going to be your message to your team? Obviously, you're going to enjoy the win. You get 24 hours enjoy the win. Yes. What's going to be to your message to your team on Sunday? Well, I think a lot of guys broke up with their girlfriends, so they're hungry themselves. Real shit, real shit. Junior just broke up with his girlfriend, so he's hungry. He said feeding the ball, you know?
Starting point is 00:53:40 Okay, that's what's up. A lot of guys don't got girlfriends right now on the team, so I think that motivates us. But I think going into this next game, it's taking one game at his time. Texas is a good team. They won tonight in a critical time, and we'll see them at home.
Starting point is 00:53:55 Dude, we're really excited. Just to get another opportunity to play, though. Our defense is playing lights out. Our old line, were coming up to me after the game, and they're like, yo, bro, sorry, sorry, sorry. And I might, do we won, you know? But they just want to play better and just, like, become so dominant. Like, that's just the expectation of just being a Vanderbilt football player now.
Starting point is 00:54:15 It's just being dominant. Like, not these little margin wins. It's going out there and just lay it all in the line, you know. How have you been able to stay level-headed? Obviously, look, Vanderbilt, the program is not what, it's not Alabama. It's not one of these perennial powerhouses. but you're turning it into that because Johnny Mansell put
Starting point is 00:54:37 Texas A&M back on the map. Now when they think of Texas A&M and they've had good players come out of Texas A&M. But Texas A&M now is the house where they play Kyle Field is the house that Johnny Bill. Now you're that guy. You're the guy that's putting
Starting point is 00:54:53 Vanderbilt football back on the map. So how does Diego Pobbia stay level-headed? You know you to it. You know that. You know I'll be like, damn what's that smell? Oh, that's me because I'm the dokey. That's me. That's me. So how do you, how do you stay level-headed to make sure that you don't get too far in front of yourself? Well, one, I do yoga every Monday. They make you come and just like come back to Earth, you know?
Starting point is 00:55:23 And then on Tuesday after practice, I do a lot of grounding. I'll ground for like an hour. and that usually after that it's like our full reset I'm good to go ready for fucking Saturday yeah that's what you got to do so so what what a party what a party at tonight have you ever heard of the street called Broadway
Starting point is 00:55:44 yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah what are we talking about huh okay okay okay I like it hey quiet and kept Ocho Nashville Nashville like that you haven't been here I've been to Nashville once. I've been in Nashville one.
Starting point is 00:56:02 Hey, but listen, ADP, you must like black girls. Listen. Let's see. Hey, DP, this is the thing. I'm one that I don't party. I've never had alcohol before.
Starting point is 00:56:13 I don't drink. I don't do anything. I don't go to clubs. I like jazz. I like cigars. So I'm really not the fun guy you would like to hang with. And I play video game 24-7.
Starting point is 00:56:22 So I'm really boring. Hey, my boy, CB2. He don't drink. He don't do any of that either. And he still has a good time. time on Broadway is a place for everyone, I'll tell you that right now. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:36 Well, hold on, is that an invite? Is that an invite? That's an invite. That's an invite. We have two more home games. This is an invite for both of you guys to come out and show out. Hold on.
Starting point is 00:56:48 I come. Can I come on the field? Do dogs bark? Hey, I'll be here. And we might be able to put a helmet on you. Ask, ask, Ask Theo. You still got some,
Starting point is 00:57:01 how much time you got left available? Hey, Theo, what's up? What's good? What's up, bro? How are you being good? Hey, I always will. See this guy, you feel me?
Starting point is 00:57:18 Yes, you pull out. Hey, I got you. Make sure you there. You're going to have a fresh cigar right there on the sideline for you. Hey, ask Theo. So, Bandy over here, they even let you, like, blow the whistle for, like, the start of the third quarter or whatever, huh? Well, when I first, they got more recruits here now.
Starting point is 00:57:34 When I first came, the first game, they had probably six recruits on the sidelines. They had one dude in a wheelchair. He was a recruit. And I'm like, what is he going to do? But they said, we might need him. I said, the Lord need. Just give him some rest. But now, today they have, like, $150.
Starting point is 00:57:56 recruits, man. It's wild. It's different. Yeah, hey, man, Vanderbilt turning up. They turn it up. So, hey, Diego, I mean, you're going to have any more eligibility left after this year? Yeah, I think I got like 14 or 16 years in the league. Hey, hey, just sign me up. I'll win you a few of these, you feel me? That's what's up. Hey, man, Diego, man, that's unbelievable. man. So I get, see, now you with the guy, because Theo is in Nashville
Starting point is 00:58:30 so you just go with Theo so everything just open up. This is the guy. We might be going down to Nashville, man. Damn. Wait, but you're trying. I'm going. Nashville is an hour and 30 minute flight. Where you what? Damn. I live in Miami. No, no, no. We might have
Starting point is 00:58:46 to visit you. We might have to visit you. Oh, no. We need to come to drink some of them white girls with you. No. If y'all is fair and I know y'all like to keep him to y'allself you know he's selfish you know he's selfish tie him in the glasses and shit both of them no nah hey I was gonna come I was gonna come but I can't come now because y'all right yeah I yeah listen hey I'm on probation
Starting point is 00:59:12 a a DP uncle uncle uncle uncle's on probation and and I'm married I'm married I'm married oh shit yeah yeah you got a cook out at your home I might be able to come, but since you're going to be going out, unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to join you, Diego. I'm sorry. We can leave you guys at the jail cell with my brothers or whatever. Hey, Diego, appreciate your time, man. Best of luck.
Starting point is 00:59:42 Stay healthy. And, man, hey, we look. I love watching you every single week, watch you do your thing, man. Appreciate you, bro. I appreciate you guys. That's love, man. I'm going to catch you guys. Love show.
Starting point is 00:59:51 I'll see you here. Yeah, I see. Let's see it. We'll see both of y'all. All right. All right, bro. Appreciate you, man. Love you, love you.
Starting point is 01:00:00 Appreciate you. Hold on, Ocho. Hey. Is it 26 already? And he's live. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, you could tell him. Oh, yeah, he's all the way live.
Starting point is 01:00:11 He live. You know what it remind me of? This is my first time meeting him. Just the interaction and the way he carries himself. He's very, very confident. Hey, he remind me like Scatibo, but playing quarterback. Yeah. I like him.
Starting point is 01:00:25 Oh, yeah. Oh, he all the way live. I like him. Oh, yeah. Oh, he, no, no, he's live live. I like the Joker said in the first bat went. Oh, we got a live one here. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:00:39 He all the way one foul. Hey, listen, that, that is the kind of quarterback I want to play for. Oh, yeah. That's the type of dude you want to play for. Like that, man, that's good energy, boy. That's good energy. It's different, it's different than what a quarterback is supposed to be like. Yes, yes.
Starting point is 01:01:01 It's different. It's authentic. It's raw. Pause. I can see why, I can see why, I can see why Johnny gravitated towards him. Johnny sees, and I told you at the beginning, Johnny sees a lot of himself in him. Now I get it. And we're not talking just, we're not just talking about it on the field either.
Starting point is 01:01:19 Nope. I like, I like good energy. Yeah. Because Johnny, Johnny, you know, Johnny got an opportunity to know him out. outside of the football, outside of the field. Yeah, okay, their height and they kind of play similar, but their personalities and the confidence that they exude, that they instill in their teammates.
Starting point is 01:01:39 Yeah, I see why. I really see why now. That was dope. That was really dope. That was dope. Yeah, that was, uh, he got, he got Bill Bond. Ah, uh, they won, uh, they won. Charleston Southern, they'd be Virginia Tech, they'd be South Carolina,
Starting point is 01:01:58 they'd be Georgia State, they'd be Utah State, lost to Alabama, beat number 10, LSU at the time, beat number 15, Missouri at the time. They got Texas and Auburn, Kentucky. They got Texas on the road, Auburn at home, Kentucky at home, and then they finish up the season, in-state rival, Tennessee. Oh, man. It was
Starting point is 01:02:25 I said you got the eligibility and say yeah 14 to 16 years in the NFL That's what my eligibility Oh Oh man Hey Colorado That's the
Starting point is 01:02:42 That's Yeah they get the door Blowed off a mocho I look there was 33 nothing Hold on what conference is at? The big 12 isn't it? Okay Yeah
Starting point is 01:02:52 Oh, shit, they're playing Utah. It's 43, it's 43, zero. It's halftime. Half time. Haftime. Damn. Hey, Utah, Utah good, man. Man.
Starting point is 01:03:16 Yeah, Utah, Utah good. They, they not rank, they, they, they, they not rank, but they can play some ball. Yeah. I guess so. I guess the band. The band going to be playing a lot tonight. Yeah. Dang.
Starting point is 01:03:32 Number eight, Ole Miss Rebs beat Oklahoma, 3426. Trinidad Chambliff threw for 315 yards and a touchdown. Kewan Lacey ran for two scores. They were losing. They got out to a lead.
Starting point is 01:03:49 Oklahoma came back and then Ole Miss scored the final nine points in order to win the ball game. Trinidad Tap Chalbys was 24, 44, 315, one touchdown. He ran the ball 12 times for 53 yards. They had 41 rushes, 116 yards. John Mateer, Oklahoma, was 17 to 31, 2.23, one touchdown. Xavier Robinson had nine carriers for a buck, 16.
Starting point is 01:04:21 a buckle nine, 28 rushes, 136. Teams to that, see what happened. Ole Miss had, okay. 9 or 21, damn. You have 21 third downs, Ocho. Yeah. Look, that was a good bounceback win for, for Ole Miss.
Starting point is 01:04:46 Ole Miss, had a big lead last week, coughed that up against Georgia and had a lead had what you call them they flipped the script this week Lane Kipping coach now look there have been rumblings that he might go to Florida Florida's going to try to throw the bag
Starting point is 01:05:02 because they got look when you wanted these schools on Joe and you're trying to land a coach and you want to these prominent schools Florida Penn State you know Penn State is not what they once were but they still have a name you still need a name a name a name ain't going to cut it on
Starting point is 01:05:16 I mean we've come to realize that the name Penn State the name LSU it's not going to cut it because unless you get the certain players the players the players that you need the special the impact players it's not going to work you're just getting a bunch of guys and most of the time we get fascinated with four star five star you know I mean it's cute it's cute to be ranked like that but what are you what kind of star you're going to be once you on that field once you on that field because we hear we got all these four and five star rankings right and you look at the landscape of college football nobody's playing like for a five-star rank.
Starting point is 01:05:51 Yeah, you're right. You know, every week you're supposed to be popping out on tape. Every week, if you're five-star, I don't care who you're playing. You're absolutely right. I, I, 1,000% agree with you. I mean, that's why you were able to get that big. That's why you were able to get a million dollars. You were able to get $500,000 according to your position.
Starting point is 01:06:14 Was because you were supposed to be that due. Okay, now show me. Yeah. Listen, matter of fact. think about the NIL money one of the players that makes the most you know Jeremiah Smith yeah on every time he is on the field yeah you locked in because something happened you don't know what and you don't know when but you know it's going happen yeah I agree that's a five star that's someone that is worth every penny he's
Starting point is 01:06:43 being paid in NIL there are very few of him and then entirety of college football. Correct. You know what? Ohio State is playing. I have to watch them because I want to see what that individual is going to do. And the rest of the supporting cads as well, it's also good. Yeah. Mississippi, their, what's their record now? They're 7 and 1.
Starting point is 01:07:08 Yeah, they lost 1. They're going to have something. They're going to have something to say about the SEC Championship. I think they're on the side with Alabama. I think they're in the SEC West. But the Chambers threw the ball really well today. I was very impressed with the way he threw the ball. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:30 I thought they ran the ball well enough, you know, less than three yards of carry. But they had 85 plays, Ocho. And so the thing is that when you run the ball, look, I want to throw it because we're having success throwing it. But I got to give you something to think about. I just can't let you guys pin their ears back and come. hunt my quarterback. So I got to give you something else to think about other than this jumping off the, you know, jumping to snap and coming to hunt the quarterback. But
Starting point is 01:07:57 Chambliss, he had to throw the ball that well. And we know Alabama, excuse me, we know Oklahoma. Brent Venables is the coach. We know him from, from Clemson when he had those defense and we know he's a pressure guy. He loves to come hunt the quarterback. What are they done? They beat Georgia State. They beat Kentucky. This is Ole Miss. Be old, be Georgia. State of Kentucky, Arkansas, to Lane. They beat number four LSU at the time. They beat Washington State.
Starting point is 01:08:27 They had Georgia on the roads and they let Georgia come back and beat them. They held on and they beat Oklahoma. Now they get South Carolina at home. They get the Citadel at home. They get Florida at home who recently fired their coach. And they get the
Starting point is 01:08:46 Egg Bowl where they go play the Mississippi Mississippi State. So there's a good chance. They run the table here, Ocho, and finish 11 and 1. Absolutely. There's a great chance. A great chance that they run the table and then see what happens. Ah, that goddamn committee.
Starting point is 01:09:10 Committee's going to have their work cut out for them this year. They're going to be a lot of teams that with one loss or two losses. Well, listen, if you've got common sense and you already know who the committee going to pick, you already know who they're going to pick, regardless of you having one loss sometime, even you could be undefeated depending on who you are, depending on the school. Right. But this is all about, you know what at the end of the day, you know what it's about. Yeah, because I don't think, I don't think we have those schools.
Starting point is 01:09:37 I don't think we're going to have, we don't have a Boise State, Ocho, that was undefeated. Right. That's 13 and O, and although the conference wasn't the strongest, they were undefeated. We don't have that. this year. I don't know of the Big 12. As who's in leading the Big 12? Are we going, or was that the SMU of the SMU lost? What did it? But I don't know. I don't know if we're going to have a scenario like what we had last year. So with that being said, are, are we going to get three, four schools from the SEC? Are we going to get two, three schools from the Big Ten? Right.
Starting point is 01:10:15 are we? Because I don't see a boys that stayed out there. I don't see an undefeated team out there, Ocho. And you're like, okay, this team is undefeated. They won their conference championship. We can't leave them at home and take a two-loss team. Now, with that being said, you see a two-loss team in the college football playoffs. So it's going to be interesting, the committee,
Starting point is 01:10:44 they're going to have their work cut out for them because I think they're going to be a lot of teams that have one loss, you know, Ole Miss could have one loss, not get to the SEC title game. You get a Georgia, looks like Georgia and the SEC. The SEC East seems like they're going to be okay.
Starting point is 01:11:02 But, you know, you might have a vandy, a one-loss vandy, and don't get to the SEC title game. Yes, that's unfair. Yeah. That's unfair. But I understand, Listen, watching the committee, since they implemented the playoffs, watching the committee and what they do and the team that they pick, I know what the bottom line is the end of the day.
Starting point is 01:11:27 I need the team that are going to the playoffs. They're going to generate us the most money. What makes the most sense. That's it. That's what it comes down to. Yeah, I think there's a, isn't it 12 teams this year, Ash? It's 12 this year, so, oh, yeah. It was 12 teams, so it's going to be very interesting, oh, Joe.
Starting point is 01:12:00 I can see a scenario where the SEC and the Big Ten dominate the slots. I really can see a scenario where it looks like. But we knew eventually it was going to come down. that it's going to be basically two super conferences. If you had to take your pick, even though it's really early, we only eight games in, to not only get through the playoffs, but winning national championship,
Starting point is 01:12:29 who would be your pick? It's early. If you was a better man. I still think Ohio State is the best team that I've seen, but I really, really, really like Texas A&M. Okay. Watching Texas A&M, I think Bamah has an excellent chance. I think Bama, can you count, can you count Georgia out?
Starting point is 01:12:51 Man, like I said, I mean, think about it. Ole Miss, one lost, Vanderbilt, one loss, Bama, one loss. Georgia, one loss. Got four teams with one loss in that conference. Yeah. I think Oklahoma has one loss, maybe two now. Yeah. Oklahoma has two losses now.
Starting point is 01:13:18 And they still got, they still got Alabama on their schedule. So it's going to be very, very interesting. The Texas Longhorn had a stunning comeback Ocho over Mississippi State. They rallied for 17 points down in the fourth quarter. Send the game to overtime and win it in overtime. But however, Archmanning was knocked out of the game
Starting point is 01:13:36 after his helmet appeared to bounce off the ground at the end of the 13-yard run in the first play of overtime. They showed me a little something today. Yeah. Or show me something. Hey, he's getting better and better. He's getting better and better. A little bit more consistent.
Starting point is 01:13:57 Yep. I'm trying to find a score. Oh, Arch. Yep, Texas. In the heat of battle, your squad relies on you. Don't let them down. Unlock Elite Gaming Tech at Lenovo. Domainate every match with next level speed, seamless streaming, and performance that won't quit.
