We'll see if he's the captain, but hey, something very, very special is trying to get brewing in Dallas.

Anytime you get to play in your home state for one of the best franchises of all time, hell, maybe the best, you know, from a football standpoint, franchise of all time, riding your home, backyard, family could come, they ain't got to fly nowhere.

You know, go right, you right down there in Arlington. It's always a dope thing. And then for Vaugh, for Vaughn, having the success he had last year and having a nine-sack season, I think maybe a year or two, maybe three removed from ACL injury, and still being able to be productive like that at his said position,

where at one point he was top three at what he did. So I'm happy for Vaughn. I'm hoping he can bolster that defense and help them improve, especially when to come to putting pressure on quarterbacks when they do play, that's going to be tremendous for them, tremendous for the Cowboys. Very, very good pickup. And it's another thing, Uncle Joe. What's up?

But Jerry also has to understand is Jerry understand that window of opportunity is closing too. you understand the window of opportunity is closed. So you want to get pick up like this with impact players. Not just, not just bodies for camp, not just adding 53 to your roster, but somebody that can make an immediate impact right away for that window opportunity to try and win one after a 25 or 30 year hiatus is right now.

Yeah. I think this is really, this is no risk to the Cowboys. You're signing on a minimum salary. Anything that he gives you is a bonus. He can still rush the quarterback. And if the Cowboys offense is what we expect them to be, they should be ahead on a lot of these games.

So it should take the run element out of it, a lot of these games. Now, honestly, they're going to be some games. There's going to be nip and tuck, and they're going to have to come back. And the defense is going to have to make plays to get them the ball back. But I think with Vaughn, I like Sam Williams.

Before he tore his knee, he was a guy that could get pressure. Rajan Garry seems to get off to these fast starts. And then he tapers down towards the end of the season. Ocho, we had him on. And in the first seven games, he had like eight, nine, And then he didn't get another sack the rest of the season. So they got to figure out what's going on with him and why does he start so fast and taper off

and why can't he sustain the level of play that he's having? Now, Quentin Williams just signed a big time contract. They got Kenny Clark. They've got a lot of guys in there that they feel that can stuff the run, make a team one dimension because if you don't turn off their water with the run, you're not going to be able to stop them because they'll play action past you and use the entire playbook to defeat you. So I like this pickup for Vaughn.

I'm happy for Vaughn. I know he really wanted to go back to the Broncos, but they're so deep at that position. I wish he could have finished his career with the Broncos, but unfortunately that doesn't seem like it's going to happen. But he's found a home very close to his home in Dallas with the Cowboys, and I'm excited for him and see what, because he can still, he's still bending.

He ain't what he once was in Super Bowl 50. He is not what he was when he got to help get the Rams to the Super Bowl, but he still can pressure the quarterbacks. Could I see a scenario where he has seven, seven to eight sacks this year? Yep. Based on what they have offensively, I absolutely could see that. Yeah. Joe, I know you're extremely happy about that.

Well, listen, man, anytime we can get some help, especially defensively, okay, Ocho, y'all know, man, that's what we suffer the most. Offensively, we pretty good. But defensively getting out to their quarterback causing hell, like Auxa, get some hair raises down now. Man, listen, that man back home, he's going to show up and show out. Hey, hey, hey, Ocho. But Clarissa, she'll join us now. Clarissa, talk about the, uh-oh. Oh. She's going to join us to have some difficulties right now. Hey, man, I thought I've seen. I thought I seen a big towel, a face towel, and a baby white they threw in that last. You saw it, but they threw everything.

Talk about last night performance. Clarissa, I've watched all your fights, especially like the last five or six fights. This might be this is the best I've seen you I mean you sit down on punches Were you determined to get out of that? What was what was the mindset last night? Why was last night different compared to your other fights? I don't I don't think that it was different I mean I was fighting in Atlanta in front of 18,000 But I really just been working on perfecting my craft and getting better like I'm not like I know I'm the best woman fighter

But I want to be better at my at my craft so I've been working on sitting on my punches like and my jab, jab into the body, you know, putting the fork on my shots and being able to see the shots that I want to land. So that's just what I've been doing. Well, listen, I have a question. I have a question. Most of the time you think about it with you being the go-to-the-sport, being the best woman boxer of all time, and you look at performances like last night.

How do you go back and watch a performance like you had last night? We are dominated from the start of the fight, mid-range, at distance. You were able to do what you want to do, connect when you wanted to connect. How do you watch something like that and tell yourself. I want to get better. I want to get better when you look as good as you do. I look at the shots

that I got hit with that I shouldn't have got hit with. I look at when I misplaced my footing. I mean, even though I had a sprained knee, it's still like me, I still shouldn't have lost my footing. I mean, Kay Scott was not a slot. She was strong.

She was fast. She was conditioned. I just really pushed your pace. And I listen to my corner and they said, don't lose the momentum. Like, when you start getting her, step on the gas. And I think round five, I had her.

And then when the bell rang for round six, I went back out there and jumped right back on her, even though we had a minute rest. So I just like, don't lose more. Like a don't lose it. Go out there and keep on riding. And I broke her down to the body. I hit her to the body a lot.

Hey, hey, Clarissa, tell me something. Now, it's been reported that she had to lose like 35 to 38 pounds and like 14 weeks or something like that. Am I right? Yeah, I lost 38 pounds, 14 weeks. Uh, how did you feel? how was your energy levels? I mean, you still look strong,

you look quick, you look fast, and losing that amount of weight. How did you actually feel when you was in the ring? I felt good, and I'm trying to stay down on this side, so I have to lose that much weight no more.

You know what I'm saying? But I felt great. You know, well, one, one, 160, I have rained there and been understood

two times there. So it's not nothing to me to be understood about about 160, but it's been three years and I've been at 175. So my body felt good. I took the camp very serious.

I lost the weight the right way. So I lost a lot of body fat that I had. And really toned up something that probably wasn't toned like this fight. Last fight I had a six-packed. This fight had an eight-pack. So, you know, it was one of those camps where I really just doing strength of the conditioning four times a week, eating salads and boiled eggs and, you know, the 1% turkey burger. And it's really like locking in and training six days a week, you know, for boxing.

So it was a busy camp, but I enjoyed it. And I, and I feel like I'm 18 now. And I'm 31. Hey, hey, hey, look, look, I see you outside. You got your face beat. You just followed yesterday here. You look good, girl. Yeah, that's, it's part defense and hand movement, you understand?

And, and hold on. To answer Shannon, first question, you got to show out when you got Floyd, Mayweather, Terrence Crawford, and Shakor and the story. Come on now. Even Even 19 was there Usher was there

Ride was there Kevin Gates was there man who was there Juju Watkins was there Oh my god Oh of course You know Lotto

And man YG Who else like YFN Luce Who else like Kevin Gates? Two chains was there like Man

This is this was a star study event. Auntie Monique walked in in the back with me Her husband. Yeah. I'm talking about, man, this was a star studied event. We had Portia Williams from up front of real. Oh, yeah. Women up.

But I've heard every girl I've been in there, I've dominated them, but now, you know, with the opportunity, I'm like, man, this is the one where I just wasn't taking a 10-rounder for an answer. Like, I've been saying, oh, I can't, like, I'm knocking Kay Scott ass out. I've been saying it or camp. You said something very interesting. You say, I've heard other girls, but I heard you say, and when you was talking to Joe, that your camp says, like, when you get her in trouble, step on her neck. Do you feel that sometimes you've gotten other women in trouble and you pull back being a little bit cautious? You weren't conscious because you say you got hit

And you know when you go on attack mode When you're throwing punches you're gonna sometimes Somebody gonna land some shots on you as well But you was undeterred by that Clarissa last night No, I mean, K-Skow was strong But I just knew that I could get her Like I was breaking her down to the body I was taking the strength I was countering her

I had got up on a rope and she tried to beat me up And I started you know hitting her with the uppercuts And I mean I just was putting on the show I mean after the fight Floyd was like you were in looking like me, and that's the biggest compliment that a girl like me can get. Hey, hey, that's what's up.

I mean, from watching the fight, the way you were slipping them punches is then getting in there and bink, bink. Like, hey, hey, that was on the money. You did a hell of a job yesterday. I was a huge fan, so keep going, man. Keep going. I will thank you.

And hopefully, like, you know, next time y'all can be in attendance, I think that we're going to be the hard. When are the next time? Next time I'm going to be out is Jane January December, somewhere in there. Oh, I'm glad you just said it. I'm glad you just said that.

that somebody that you actually want to fight? Listen, MVP has a girl named Tim people who just got three belts, and they were saying that she was such a big threat to me and a girl only got five fights. Right. But then they're going to complain if I beat up another girl that got five fights, but they were saying just when she won these three belts that she can beat me in a fight. And I'm like, no, she can't. So it could possibly be her. It can be

McKinley and then Lauren Price, who was an Olympic champion. I like that. I like that. One thing I have a question, with all the naysairs, with everything you've accomplished in boxing, the belts, you know, in different weight classes. When people say the people that you're fighting at time, sometimes they're not that good, or they're old, or they're washed, or there really no competition. What do you say to the race there?

That's just hate her talk because I'm 19 and no, and I beat girls. I'd be at least seven, eight girls who are on a pound-pound list. I have beat. Most of the girls that I fought again has been undefeited fighters, girls with multiple championships. The girls that I beat go on to beat other girls

and knock them out when they said that they're not good. So it's like They just try to find anything You're just to try to discredit me But the truth is My skills, my power, my speed My experience cannot be messed with I am the best

It doesn't matter who they put me in there with You know And honestly What champion Can be champ in five different weight classes And you're telling me that nobody Ever came close to beating me All your never decisions

And y'all like oh This That is like No them, hey, them other bitches got losses. I'm undefeated. Them girls are running their mouth

and talking about that shit. You got your ass hands to see the world. Yeah. Walk down on. It's funny that you say that, Clarissa, because there's somebody been barking up your tree. Now, she's in a little smaller weight class.

But y'all used to be cool. I don't know what happened. You're not even about to play with me. That, man, that girl is a bum. Mm. Oh, Lord. She's a bum. She's a hater.

And then, look, you know you being these bitches' ass when they all start teaming up. Them, man, them all the teaming up with a fucking monster rapper her, Amanda, trying to fucking be down. Like, y'all can't beat me one-on-one, so you're going to go team up and make it something.

Like, you're going to go and knock bitches out. Go and win. Go and sell out an arena. At least she can't sell, she can't sell shoe out of a fucking shoebox. Damn. Damn. But I think, so, but

Chris, the thing is with you is that there are not very many fighters, male or female, that when you go back and look at your amateur background, you got two gold medals. Two Olympic medals. You got all these amateur championships, and you got all these belts. I mean, you started off at this weight. You moved up, wiped it out. Now you come back down, wiping it out. So at what point in time, what do you say?

You know what? I got pretty soon you're going to have all the damn belts. And it's going to be nobody for you to fight. Now, there's always somebody to fight because there's always somebody new. There's always somebody who's watching you, who's studying you. You know, when you're the best, it's always a targeting impact. There's always a girl who's smaller coming up or a girl that's bigger coming down. So I'll be watching all of them.

So you'll fight anybody, even if they don't have a belt, if they talk, they keep talking, they keep running their mouth. You say, okay, I'll get to ring with you, even if you don't have, you're not just a belt person. You're like, I take what I take all challenges. No, if you ain't got to make sense, though. It doesn't make sense. Like, that's my, that's what I'm saying.

If you wipe everybody out, If you take all the belts, you got by 20 bells now. Yeah, but a lot of those belts now, like when I go to, I have to decide within one or two weeks, do I want to stay, like, do I want to stay a heavyweight world champion or do I want to stay at middleways? So I have to decide that within two weeks. And I'm quite sure that all my team want me to go back to 75, but I got, I got business at 160 still. Okay. You can go back and get that 75 better anytime you want it.

So let me go and handle this down here. I'll come back up and get this. Absolutely. I like it. Go ahead, Ocho. Hey, you know, I want to be nosy, right? We've talked about your accomplishments. We know how great you are.

I'm excited, December, January, whenever it's going to be that you do fight again, you are a part of the camp in the general around Bud, that atmosphere and knowing the ends and out and out. So what's going on? Do you think Bud comes out of retirement at some point? Say it again. Do you think Bud comes out of retirement at some point? Oh, no. No.

Bud has always been like a man in his words. So I think that if he retired, like, I don't think he going to play with nobody. But do I think that we would see Bud like, take the Floyd route, do like some exhibitions? I think you may see him do fun stuff like that. But I don't think you're going to see him back, like, fighting for belts and stuff like that.

No. Right. You know what I'm saying? Help me understand your clue. Larissa, normally when a fighter goes down and weight, they lose some power. You lost no power. It almost seemed like you had more power at 60 than you had in 60. Say, 75.

How were you able to maintain that level of power, that puncher power, when you drop 30 plus pounds? Strength and conditioning. Continue my boxing workouts. Continuing my running. And honestly, it's the diet. So like I said, I wasn't just losing weight. I was like shedding fat and building muscles here and there.

man like I said I had an APEC and I haven't had an APEC since I was at 154 you know back in 2021 when it was COVID so yeah um to have an APEC like I mean I really worked for it but I really just like I like I locked in for real like I had a very very strict diet a gallon of water a day um no fried chicken no rice no mac like none of that good stuff I was on a very strict diet and I mean, I just really stepped up for this opportunity because it's like these little bitches getting out of hand. Like they be talking too much. They be like, bro. Like, so okay.

Only thing a girl can say by me is like, oh, yeah, she got all these belts and she undefeated, but she ain't got knockouts. But I can get knockouts just like them. Like, I punch better than now. I'm sharper than them. I'm faster than them. And these girls are way smaller. And I'm still throwing more points than them when I'm in my fight. So it's like for me, I'm like, you know what?

Fighting in Atlanta, a new territory where it's black excellence and it's black culture. I'm like, I have to really go out here and I want to make a statement. So I put myself through the ringer and I train very hard. Right. I have one more question too. I see it all the time. Obviously on Twitter, she's been trying to get your attention for a while. Cyborg.

Is there any chance that we see a fight with you in Cyborg? I've seen her constantly call you out all the time. It doesn't make sense. Is that something that even makes sense? That lady, that lady is the biggest cloud chaser I've ever experienced in my life. She's like a mom. She can't pay me $2 million, but can't even pay her damn stuff $2 million. I don't understand these girls.

Yes, ma'am. And they never made no. She, first of all, growth made more than $2 million. But she ain't never even paid herself $2 million. How are you going to pay me $2 million for a fight? And Chris Seibor can not box. Hey, hey, that 160 got you acting a little different too, girl. I see it.

So I'm like, it's very, it's not, what is it? It's very shocking to me, but it's like, dang, I'm really out here

selling tickets, putting butts and seats. The stars are coming out. And it's really like a toss-up. Do we go back to Atlanta? Or do we go back to Detroit and do Lion's Stadium with 40,000? That's dope. I don't know. I don't know.

I mean, I know Detroit's your home. home town but the way they showed up and showed out for you last night Clarissa Atlanta might be your new adopted home well I've been I've been living here for two years yeah mm-hmm they go support their own now I have adopted you they're oh now they're gonna support you they go show up and show out yeah absolutely it's just like people it's like the hospitality the like the honor like I wore the I wore the I wore the Elena Dream colors and I mean were really excited and I mean all I heard fight night was whooped that trick every round.

Carissa, now you did say, now hold on, you got to get this boxing stuff out of the way because you said you wanted to be, you wanted to be with child within the next six to eight months. Is that still on the horizon or are you going to postpone that to maybe 28? No, because I had postponed this year because I signed my $8,000 deal with winning. record so me and me and pap compromised and i said okay let me just go up two or three girls and then we can have our our baby together and he said okay hey hey hey hey tell papoos he got a chill

now he got that we're trying to get a couple more fights man come on now you got a chill my boy i think that's more for rissa the pap i think that's both i think you like look out of i don't I compromise. I don't got four girls out of the way. Let me go on to get, hey, let's go on and drop this baby. And I get about five more, and I can shut it down. Well, I think that that was my reason for coming down to 162. Like, I'd rather start my pregnant journey at being very, very small.

Instead of having to be, you know, 180 and 190 and then get to like 230. Instead, I could be 160 and get to 190. You don't have to touch 200 because me being 20 pounds is just not something I want to ever experience. What's a walk-around way for you, Carissa. So 75, 78, 80? Man, it really depends. So when I was fighting at 75, I had got big as 190. And then when I just kind of like, don't train

and I don't know what's next, I've been as big as 198. But usually a comfortable weight is 185. Yeah. Okay. Fought that 175 and a comfortable weight at 185, that means you only got dropped 10 pounds. That difference, you don't have to tax yourself,

you don't have to beat your body into the ground. I mean, to come down 38 pounds, that's asking an awful lot. And for you to do it in the fashion of which you did it. And the way you looked last night, anything is probably, hey, you come down 40. You come down 45 if you have to. But you look down with, Carissa, you look phenomenal last night. Thank you so much.

Thanks too. The way, the way you put that thing on Kay Scott, the way you sat down on punches, the way you, hey, follow the punches, jab to the body, left hook, right. I mean, you gave, you, hey, I would like, was there anything left in the refrigerator? You threw everything in the refrigerator out. He said, I knew she wasn't going to last art ten

because I just was like, I'm just going to keep stepping on the gas in it. And I think it was one round, I felt like she was getting like some confidence. Yeah. I said, let me go ahead and wrap this shit on up. I'm trying to go to the club. But you know what, Clarissa,

Well, listen, when I was in, when I was in camp, I was hurting all the girls I was sporned. So I knew that once it got to the fight, I'm like, yo, I know I'm cracking. I know I'm laying it. Like, I've been working so hard on turning my punches over, throwing my punches

straighter, laying in a body shots like seeing openings, countering. All this stuff that I do naturally good, but I've been working on making it better. And I just was like, man, I was just so sharp last night. And, man, I just knew I was going to get it done. When you caught it with the left, did you know that was that was the beginning of the end when you caught her with that left? I think before that I caught her with the right. And I just kept seeing, I don't know if y'all got noticed, but first round,

she went to the corner and had a big ass knot on her head. Yeah, I see her. She had a couple of them up there. Yeah. Yeah. Hey, we called, Clarissa, we call them may not. They may go down. They may not.

They may not. No, so after I caught her with that, freaking, freaking, she quirk going to say some, keep aiming for the knot. Keep me stupid. It's not. So I was really like them, but that's when I knew I'm like,

I just had to go out there and do it. it's a different type of attitude that you carry when you walk around. So I carry that now and it's like, yo, I know that

everybody wants me to have a close fight and they want a girl to drop me or they want to find somebody bigger or whatever they think to challenge me. I'm sorry, it's just not going to happen because I'm always getting better. I'm always getting stronger and faster and I know how to

win. That's it. Big skills going to always beat little skills. You say that. You're a skill. You're a larger woman that's skill. And so they might have somebody that skill, but at 45, at 50s, no, they can't see you.

I'm a boxer brawler, so I can box and I can brawl. Hey, it depends on what they want. So if you want to box, I go out there and box with you, but if the boxing ain't working, listen, coach said, I'd rather go down. He said it's best to go down swinging

than just to go down. So I'm one of them. And we got to go to. war and we got to get bloody in here and we got to break some bones. I'm all down for it long as I get the W. And past thing I'm crazy for that, but I'm telling them I ain't never bound down to no dude or to no damn girl when I'm in, when I'm inside the ring fighting. Like we can we can do this shit to the death.

I'm telling you I'm going to win. I like it. I like all this, of all you've come, you've got gold medal, you got 20, 25 bills. What's left, Clarissa? What, what, in the boxing sphere, obviously you want to start a family. We get that. We get that. But in the boxing sphere, what is left for Clarissa Shields?

I enjoy having my team with me. I enjoy, you know, one day. Like, I enjoy going to the gym at the beginning of camp. and can barely get 10 rounds out the way. And then when I'm ending camp, I'm hitting the bag, 15 rounds, and then I'm doing pads 10 rounds, and then I'm going outside the run. And I'm like, yo, when I first started camp,

I couldn't do none of this. So I remember we sat down, Carissa. Boxing is your therapy because you say you were an angry child. You just wanted you to fight. So you're like, you know what? This is my escape. I got something. I go to therapy.

I go to therapy every day. I want to these people, some people go to therapy once a week. or they go once every other week they go once a month i go to therapy every day this is your therapy no it is especially like when i'm in camp i feel like i'm closer to god i can think clearer i'm um i'm eating better i'm less bloated and honestly i love when i have fight camp because i don't because i don't take no bullshit like nobody gets bothered me anybody getting my way of training or getting or trying to mess with me mentally i just cut it off and usually sometimes in my life I have a hard time doing that when I'm not in camp.

But when I'm in camp, boxing come first. It's like God, boxing, everything else. Right. Wow. Well, Melissa, congratulations on the fight last night. You were sensational. We look forward to having you back on again. The next fight, we definitely go to that crap crew,

definitely going to try to get there and be in attendance. Hey, boo, one second. We might, hey, we might be, we might be broadcasting the fight live too at night, cat. There we go. There we go. going live. Oh, yeah.
