The Cowboys, Joe, we're going to start with you first, this is your team. Cowboys finally hitting Jim and Camden Brown? Man, hey, Ocho, don't act like y'all ain't see that. Camden Brown looked good tonight, especially the little one-hand catch he had.

Hey, hey, I thought he was impressive. I thought Joe Milton was impressive. You know, I like what I've seen. Obviously, you know, we're still at a stage to where we're kind of, you know, just evaluating guys. Because, you know, you don't get your big guns, probably to the second and the last game of the preseason.

But it was fun to watch them boys get up and down. I honestly was impressed, bro. I was impressed. I mean, what you think are, Joe? Hey, I honestly, Joe, listen, the young bulls are makers and plays. Obviously, you want to evaluate some of the talent that's going to be backups, maybe third stringers, some of the players you want to bring back for your practice squad. But again, Joe, I know it's just, I just want you to remember.

Yeah. Caustion to the win. That's just the preseason. Okay. I'm with you. I'm with you. You got a little too excited for me, Joe. You got a little too excited.

What, damn. Man, don't I see it. Hey, ain't no thing. But this is a good thing. This is a good thing. Being able to evaluate players and seeing those players that can make plays on the big stage in certain pressure moments. Even though people will say, oh, it's not a pressure moment. It's just an NFL game.

No, it's more than just an NFL game. It's more than that because there's a lot of pressure on these players that are trying to make the team. And one of the things that you, most of the time that you do is in situations where you can make mistakes because you're trying to make a team. you make mistakes because of the pressure that's on you. And I mean, listen, I'm excited. I'm excited for the Cowboys, Joe. You know how I feel about the Cowboys.

Offensively. Yeah, well, I'm just saying. My only worry is defensively. Right, right. And I thought, hey, look, and you speak in the defense, Seattle looked good on their first drive, Uncle Ocho, Jolok, took them down, scored right away. I'm like, damn, you know, that was fairly easy if you ask me.

You know what I mean? But after that, we slowed them down. They ain't really. No, no, you didn't slow him down. They slowed themselves down by putting Jaila Miro in the game. That's not nice. Because he's thinking seven on seven that he got all day, Ocho, to throw the damn football. He refused, he refused to throw the football on timing.

And if he's not there on timing, throw the ball out of bounds, throw the ball away. But he constantly think he can pat the ball. Ah, ah, I come up down. Ah, ah, down. Bro, get rid of the damn football. And Drew Lark had the guy on the sluggo, Ocho. He had him for an 80-yard touchdown. He overshot him.

That's not the time to show off your arm. Even if you underthrow him, at least give him a chance to catch the football because you know if you overthrow him, he's not going to catch it. Maybe if you underthrow him, you get a PI. It's a spot foul. It's plays like that.

And Drew Locke has been in the league far too long. He's been a starter in Denver. He's been around far too long to make that kind of mistake. But I thought Jalen Milroy, after guy that was in the league, going into his second season, I didn't think he played well, Locho. Given who he is,

Right. Being in the second year, that's, those are mistakes that a rookie make, not a second year player. Right. Yeah. Hey, oh, man. Hey, look, look, look. When you think about it, though, Seattle came out super sharp, though. They did. They looked good.

Yeah. Yeah, I thought they came. They were hitting on all cylinders. But I do like they Camden Brown kid because think about this. Yeah. You got lamb and pickings out there, man. If you can come up, you know, and I know we got other receivers too, but to have a hidden gym like this, you know, is. Illinois.

Oh, man. It's perfect. They like, they really, I was surprised, hell. I didn't expect CD to play because, because Dak didn't play guys. I didn't expect CD and picked C.D. and PIC to play. But damn, they rested their third and fourth guys.

The fourth, third, fourth, and fifth. I'm like, well, damn. Hold on. You know what that means, especially Joe, when you rest your third and fourth, guys, that means that's just how good they look. Yeah. There's no question.

There's no concerns when it comes to the third and fourth guys and who they are. That's why they had them resting. If they, if they look good in camp on these past six, seven, eight days, oh, they would have been playing. Yeah, I think for the most part, you know, Joe, Ocho, you said something very important, like about not making too much of a big deal out of this game.

But who says, who goes into a job interview, say, man, this ain't a little job interview. Every job interview is important. That's what this is. If you're not CD Lamb or a pick, it's a big time job interview for you. If you're not one of the starters, on one of the level on offense,

one of the level on defense, this is a big time job interview for you, not only for the team that you're on, but for the other 30 teams that's going to get tape of this ball game. So you're constantly, you're always in a situation where you're trying to impress. Even if you want to impress yourself because you want to make sure that you, what you've been practicing and everything that you, that you've undertaken and all the off season work that you put in, you want to make sure that you know what is paying off. If it doesn't pay off here, there's 30 other team. Maybe it pays off somewhere else.

So you always want to put your best foot forward because you never know. Right. And sometimes guys like, well, man, man, man, I'm, man. Oh, yeah, you might be struggling with that team, but you might need to go somewhere else. And if you go land somewhere else, that's your opportunity. Yeah. But I agree with you guys. I thought Seattle came out looked really good.

They looked really sharp. One, two, three ball was out. One, two, three balls out. One, guys made plays. I like the Drew Locke stepped up in the pocket, scrambled. picked up a first down. I like that. Made a big time throw.

A guy got held still made a big time throw to go, caught the football. But I think Dallas response, I was really impressed with Dallas response to go right back down the field, even though they didn't score a touchdown. But the first, I mean, think about it. Seattle had the ball for like over almost eight minutes.

Then Dallas get the ball and then give the ball back to them to the 12 minutes left in the second quarter. I was like, well, damn. This guy, I say, hey, we might be on it by, by 930 to 2 o'clock at the pace. At the pace, they're going down. Yeah. It was like, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick.

But I like, you know, in a situation like that, the ball is moving. The clock steadily moves. You like games like this here. You can get into a rhythm, not a whole lot of stoppage. It wasn't a whole lot of injuries, guys going down. I was, I was impressed. I thought both teams played extremely well, considering this is the first preseason game. And I'm not, I'm not saying, oh, oh, my God.

Seattle's going to be back to back soon. football champs on the Dallas Cowboys. I'm not saying that, but I thought the floor of the ball game and the way they played, I thought they looked really crisp tonight. Yeah. I agree. So, hey, the way they like, the way they, the way they, uh, the way, uh, the way, uh, the way, uh, Cam the Brown looked, they might not even pay pick.

No, no, don't do that. Don't do that. I'm just saying, Joe, you say you say you like me. But it's, it's good to have a reliable, uh, four, fifth, third option, you know, that you feel like it's comfortable that can. step up in some of these games, man. Damn, take some pressure out pick and lamb. Come on now.

Hey, but they already got one, Joe. Uh, uh, uh, Illinois. He's nice, Joe. Illinois number 19, yeah, yeah, he's really good. But Joe, also, Joe, I know how much you love picking. I know you want to play for your Cowboys, but in a sense, when you think about it, you have to take the emotion out of it. You have to take your heart out of it.

You got to want, you, you got to want the best for pick. You got to want you pick, and you understand the best for pickings to get what his true value and what he deserves, it wouldn't be there. They franchise tag him for a reason. You know why they did that? Why's that? Because they didn't want to ruffling any feathers, paying him more than what he's worth because it would be more than what Cid Lam is making.

Allow him to flourish his season with you guys. This is a small window of opportunity if you guys to do the most you can and capitalize on having all the talent you do. Maybe you can have a long playoff run and maybe go to the Super Bowl. But don't, don't try to hog the man's presence. You're undervalue him. It ain't that they don't value him, Ocho. It was he just been with us for one year.

Damn, can we see something else? You're going to see it this year. Okay. Hold on. Listen to me. Listen to me. George Piggins is a $40 million dollar wide receiver. He has that kind of skill set.

He brings that to a team. That's what his value is, right? He's being underpaid this year, even though he's making 27. Chad, I mean, no disrespect. I'm speaking in the NFL turns of the top receivers in the NFL on he's making that's all that's all Joe so listen hey let pick have this fun this year he's even to go bananas this year okay hey hey hey I hope so we're not going to be able to afford it because you still got to pay that hold on hold up don't tell me what Jerry can't

for don't tell me that don't tell me what he came for he each man man pockets run deep huh they deep Joe there's a salary cap Joe damn that salary cap huh we gonna make hey hey hey hey hey hey give people wasn't an old old Kauai deals. Jerry got a bunch of things going on in Dallas. He ain't just a football guy. Jerry worth a lot of money, so he got a lot of things going on. They find way, hey, CD, I got this old abandoned house over there. Really nice. Go shake the mattress. A couple of million fall up out of there.

I got a question too, huh? No, not the, not the, not the, not the, not the, not the, not the, not the, not the, not the, not the, not the, not the, not the, turn over, turn over a ruffling the feather. Do you think stuff like that happened for elite players and there's a salary cap issue and they, and they, they think they do that sometime? They probably put stuff, they're probably like, most of the time on to what they do is like, okay, I want a suite in my, in my contract, you know what I'm saying, the big, the, the quarterbacks. Right. What, what, all, I bet you all the quarterbacks got, got a sweet in their contract. Right. But they don't have to pay for it.

But to that extent, the risk isn't worth the reward. Okay. That's what I mean. But Roger Goodell would hammer you. If you circumvented the salary cap, all the other owners would want the, would want Roger to come down so hard on him. Ever had done that. Right. Okay.

Because remember what they did now when Washington, when they had that uncapped year and Washington lost, you know, $30 million, 30 million. I think the Cowboys lost 20 something. million in cap space. So they'd whittled your cap space down. Let's just say for the sake of argument, something of this magnitude. Right. Well, you circumvented the cap in which they did.

Man, man, I can see now in today's term, they might take $50 million worth the cap space from you. What? Yeah. That would cripple your team and your chances to even come here. That's the whole objective because you won't punishment to be swift and harsh. It's not only for the team that did the act is to deter others from doing said acts.

That's what punishment is meant to do. Yeah. Punishment should be swift and harsh, and it should be of a deterrent because what you want to do, you want it to be so harsh and so brutal that nobody else would even think about such. Yeah. Because you know once you get away with something, Ocho, like you open the floodgates, you say it's a copycat league. Oh, yeah. Well, copy this punishment I'm going to put on your head. Yeah.

I just think the thing is Joe Milton, 12 or 15, 107 yards, a touchdown. He looked really good. He did. Using them legs, getting outside the pocket, making plays. I thought he looked good, man. I just think the thing is, Melrose has to understand. The likelihood of you just,

you're not going to run your way to a chance. You're not going to run your way into a starting quarterback in the NFL. You've got to be able to throw the football. Because what the rules have allowed you to do, Ocho. Yes. You can't attack the quarterback like you once could. You can't talk the receiver like you once could.

They encourage you to throw the football. football, but a clock has to go off, bro. You're not in practice. This is not seven-on-seven where you can just pat the ball and think you could just like, oh, it's going to be. I'm like, bro, what are you doing? Hey, take off. Take off.

But he packed the ball, man. I was like, bro, that's too long. I don't know what kind of clock they got to go in your head. Hey. And he's thinking his last result, hell, if he ain't got nobody open Uncle Ocho, he can use them legs and go on and get free. Yes, yes, yes. It wouldn't happen.

You know, the funny thing about it, too, also Joe, when you have someone like that that has the arm talent that he does have, he has to understand his value and being the asset for that team is being able to throw first. Yeah. Being able to throw first and having legs on the back end if necessary is a great thing. And not running first. Lamar Jackson has gotten really good at this. Obviously, he has one read early in his career and take off if it's not there.

Now he's going to the point, listen, I'm going to extend the play. I'm going to make something out of nothing. That makes him that much more valuable. And he's improved as a passer. Yeah. Look at Caleb. Same thing. His ability to throw the,

it's a nice, it's a nice asset to have to know I got that in my back pocket. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? It's a nice. If I'm playing spades and no, we already got three books. We only supposed to get four.

And I got that big joke in my back pocket. It's always a great feeling to have. Everybody talking, oh, we're about to set y'all. But they don't know what I do. I know. I got that big joker. I got that one that's on that bicycle, Joe. You know, he's sitting on that on big wheel bicycle. I'm good. I'm just letting them talk, let them talk, letting them talk.

Yeah, boy, we're pulling teeth. Yeah, give me that. Give me that. Then all of a sudden, I go and flip him on the day. Man, man, why did you play the big, whoa, whoa, why you need to worry about when I play the big joker? You play your hand. Let me play mine. That quick to tell you, Joe, man, why you play that earlier? Whoa, whoa, whoa, you not my partner? I have to offer you no explanations. But I thought both teams made some good plays.

Guys stepped up, made some big time catches. It's going to be really interesting to see. The Cowboys, like I said, if the Cowboys moving the ball like that on offense with those third and fourth, fifth guys, the offense should be really, really sharp with what's Dack, that starting offensive line get in there. Those other receivers, those top two. three receivers get in there.

It's going to be interested. Cavante Turpin, he didn't play as your returner or your slot receiver. Yeah. They can be really, really explosive? The question is, can they protect that and DAC avoid the big mistake at the most inopportune time? If they do that, that thing, they have the potential to be special because they can put so much pressure on your defense, your offense with their offense. Remember, that's how Peyton Manning them used to do.

Peyton Manning put so much pressure on your office because you got to match, you, Mocho. Yeah. Mahomes, it is first couple of your first years. You had to match them. You already know, they're getting 30. Hey, off rip. So if you think you're going to win a game scoring 21 points, 17 points, and beat those teams, that ain't happening. Go ahead, Ocho.

You know, another thing I do like to also, Uncle, you brought up the Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes, will they ever get back to that level of creativity when they were so exciting in Patchamom's early years? You know, when they win the Super Bowls back to back, obviously they're still in the playoffs every year, but there was a time they was running plays. Hey, Joe. I think there's old. That we ran in optimist and it was working. I think it's over with,

Joe. You think so? Yeah, the rest of the NFL don't quote up, uh-uh. Yeah, I think the thing is they miss Tyreek because even though they got guys that got speed. No,

that's all they have. Right. You know, Xavier Worth, they can run. They've had Taekuan Thornton. And I thought you and I, we were like, hold on,

why do they go away from using Taquan Thornton? Thornton because when Rashid Rice was out, he could have been, you could make a case that he was their best receiver. So I didn't understand the lack of targets he got after Rashid Rice got back. I'm not saying you shouldn't involve Rice because he's supposedly you're number one receiver. So I'm not saying go away from him. But I'm not saying all of a sudden, you see a Thornton getting one target of a game. Sometimes he was, I don't even know if he was even even dressed. Right. Yeah. Which caught me by, but Tyreek, Tyree, losing Tyreek. It forced them to be, if you think about Ocho, they was more methodical.

It was all of a sudden, instead of three, five plays down the field, it was taking of nine, 11, 17. They was looking like a conventional offense. Yeah. First, second, down, get the third, pick it up. There was none of those plays, first down, second down, touchdown. There were no more of those type plays. And it's going to be interesting to see how that knee holds up

because he had a very serious knee injury. And plus a lot of their key guys got older. Trave is not the same guy. He's not the same. He's still a top five tight end. But those days of him just taking the game completely over. I don't think we'll see that from him anymore. Hey, he ain't got that wiggle like he used to have.

Hey, as you get older, it gets harder, Joe. It gets harder to stay like that. Yeah, yeah. I know. But I like the running game. I like the running game. They didn't have K-9 tonight, but I thought those guys of Smith and the other guy,

number 10, I thought they played red really well. Yeah, Johnson ran real well. Yeah, yeah, I can live with that. I can live with it because they got to get their running game. Even though they've really never had a running game except that first Super Bowl that they won, the one that they won, they had a running game. But outside of that, it's been my home,

scrambling, picking up yards with his legs. You know, they got a lot of gadgets. They do a lot of different things. They'll formation you to death. They'll run some gadgets. They run shovel paths. They run reverses. They do a lot of different things to complement their run game.

Which is the run game? The short, you see the smoke screens. We should call them jail breaks. But they call them smoke screens or whatever they call them now. That is their run game, Mocho. Yeah. That is their run game. But they got to get some resemblance.

They can't go, they can't leave a game with 50 yards. starts rushing. In fact, they're going to win a lion share of those games. That ain't happening. That's not happening. Yeah, I want to see Andy Reid, Andy Reid get back in his bag, you know, with that creativity. Those fun plays. Hey, Joe, I know you remember when the Chiefs would run all the tricks games and when they did the merry-go-round, the merry-go-round in the huddle,

the club-dug-goose, and they go to the line, and all those plays worked because it was different. You know, team didn't know how to, how to game plan for it because they had never seen it before. I hope they can get back to that, especially with Mahomes coming off of ACL injury. The onus can't be just beyond him to do everything. No. It can't be on him. So everyone else has to show up.

And obviously the play calling has to be a little bit more creative based on what they haven't seen before. So they always have an edge. They always had an edge when everybody else. But it seems like everyone that's caught up to what they like to do. Yeah, but don't you, if you, Joe, if, uh, if you, if you, uh, if you, if you, look at it, if you look at, they're like a tick off. Mahomes is not quite as sharp as he once was. Yeah.

Because he didn't miss deep throws. Yeah. If you go back and look now, he keeps kind of missing those throws, throws that he was hitting Tyreek on, that he was hitting Sammy Walkins on, that he was hitting Valdea Scanling on. He misses those throws now. And that third down, they were the number one team on third down,

which keeps you on the field, or keeps you on the field and give you an opportunity to get three more down three four more downs they're just they're just a little off and that is the difference because it don't take much just a little here and there where instead of being instead of being six of six of 10 on third down your six of 12 yeah now all of a sudden those two that you miss when did you miss those third down conversions, Ocho. That's a big difference in the ball game because now that could have kept me on the field,

got me in field goal range or led me to a situation where I get a touchdown out of it. I think it's going to be interesting to see. I want to see what you want to see, Ocho. I want to see they got E.B. back. Yeah. E.B. was the guy that held everybody accountable. Yeah. He ain't on him play.

EB held everybody accountable. And people say, well, he couldn't do that. But no, no, no, his voice. Coming in, his voice is different in Kansas City than it was anywhere else. Yeah. So I expect them to be, and everybody was so excited to have him back.

Deshawn did not throw a single pass that traveled 10 plus yards. He got sacked. Fummeled the ball. The Bears recovered. Offensive line didn't seem very improved to me. Before we go to your door, let's talk about Deshaun. I don't know how much you saw this game, Ocho. Yeah, Deshawn, I mean, he was 11 of 15,

but everything seemed like it was a damn checkdown. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. He didn't push the ball down the field. No. Hey, hold, hold on. Y'all got to get the show on a little credit though for a guy who hadn't played in some quite time. Okay, Ocho. He didn't look that bad.

I thought he had a few mis-kews in the pocket to where he was unsure if he wanted to run or throw. Which is kind of got tripped up. But outside of that, I thought he made some good throws, bro. I thought he used his legs well. He didn't look that bad to me. I thought you do look good outside that moonbally through that was in. Yeah, it sailed on him. He got to drive that one.

It seemed like he was trying to throw it with anticipation, and it kind of got away from him, but he needed to put some little oomph behind it so the ball don't sell. You're worrying soldier field, so I don't know what type of win it had. But like I said, I thought to show you 11 or 15, and I think people look at 11 or 15, but not a single ball traveled over 10 yards, Joe. Yeah.

So that means everything is close to the line of scrimmage. Yeah. So you should have a nice completion percentage. Now, maybe that was what the game playing called for. Maybe they did a job and said, know what? We want to get the ball out of Deshawn's hand. Our offensive line is not where it needs to be. So what we're going to do is we're going to try to get the ball out of his hand.

Go ahead, don't you? I'm going to say also defensively, knowing Deshaun is in there, defensively, makes sure y'all keep everything in front of you. Make sure you keep everything in front of you. So it was forcing me anything that may have been deep for over 12 or 15 yards, you know, defensive they made sure, hey, it's not happening. Do you can go check it down or you can go hit something short? Well, consider the offensive line that he got,

They ain't got to wait long. Hey, don't worry about anything. We're going to get there before they, because they can't block. Hey, hey, but hold up, though. Concepcion, he looked good out there, bro. Yeah. Hey, that boy making some play. I think he's going to be really special.

I think he has an opportunity to be really, really good, Joe. I do. Hey, he looked good. I'm talking about out the back field and catching the ball. I'm saying, like, he's a Swiss Army knife that I think the Brown's going to be able to use, man. He's going to help them out a lot. And he tough. Yeah.

He tough. I like, I like it. Look, like I say, we'll see. We'll see. We'll see. Was this what the offense? Because it seemed to me like, the one thing we know about Shador,

Shador is going to try to push the ball down the field. Because that's where the big plays come from. The likelihood of you dumping the ball down on a five-yard route and the guy shaking the whole defense and getting to the house, that ain't very likely. No. Deshaun, so basically maybe he just took what the defense gave him.

He didn't want to do anything spectacular. There was no throws to be made down the field. He got the ball. out of his hand, the offensive line, they're going to have to improve greatly. Because if you think you can nickel and dime your way down the field consistently, down in and down out, game in and game out, you're fooling yourself. The game has never been one like that, and it's never going to be one like that. Man, I think, I think Deshaun, I think his problem was he didn't have a lot of patience

in the pocket. Okay, Holtra versus Shador. He'll sit back there. You know what I mean? He'll wait for something to kind of open up a little bit. You know what I mean? I think that was the biggest difference because when Shaduah, he'll sit. got back to hell his first two passes

were deep. You know, they were nice. He's looking to push it down the field. Yeah, you know what I mean? A deep ass over route. Huh? I say that first pad, that deep overrout. Oh, man. He looked good them first couple passes, bro. Then he had did one that just kind of sailed and got away from it. By outside of that, I don't think

neither one of them really separated themselves from each other. I don't either. The competition going to continue and they just got to keep going out there proving that they're worthy of that number one, that starting job. You know, yeah. You know, you know, on people got to take it and especially people in the chat that are listening you know what you have to take into account that the play calling might change based on the quarterback that's under

center um so i and the play calling might change based on you know the what they do well you know the you know the coach knows that whoever's called plays knows that now these plays in practice you know throughout this week the sean look good with these and the coaches sit down with the you know with the quarterback to tell them look what you like yeah you like you know first 10 15 plays script and I'm sure they still do that in the preseason too. You know, what you like is stuff that they're comfortable with that they know that they look good, you know, in practice. And I only say that to say because when we sit there with Tom, you know, and the receivers

before, before, before the night before every game and I was on Saturday, him and him and coach, they would go over eight. Give me your first 15 that you like that you come through with. And that's what we're going to stick with. Well, you know Deshaun is more athletic, more mobile than you're doing. Yes. So you call plays knowing that even if they're just dropped back, he has the ability to get out of harm's way.

Right. So I can see you call it an offense where Deshaun is probably a little bit more in the move because of his athleticism. Shoulder is a drop-back quarterback. I don't look. I understand. He's black and you think it's like all black people can dance. No, they can't.

All black people can cook. No, they can't. All black quarterback's athletic. No, they're not. He's a pure pocket passer. He's a pure, pure pocket passer. He's, he's, he's more Byron Leftwich. Yes.

Than Lamar Jackson. Yeah. Caleb Williams. He, that's not what he, that's not what he is. He's not, uh, Dante Coe. No, he's, he's, he's a prototypical dropback quarterback. He runs absolutely positively, positively. positivity. You have no choice.

But, meanwhile, uh, uh, Dylan Gay, where he need to go get his CDL. It's old wit. Yeah. It's old. I'm going to be he didn't look hey I'm sorry man he didn't he didn't show me now I'm saying he was hitting the dirt quick you know he didn't want to get touched out there he's he's about a man I either either left-handed either they have big arms or them things yeah whack whack whack whack whack whack bam you know you know I'm glad I'm glad

you said that because if you look at left-handed quarterbacks you look at Michael Vic and then you look at everybody else Man, come on, man. It's completely different. Man, Vic, he, Michael Vic, looks so, I'm just chilling and the ball come off his fingers like a ball jumps out of his hand.

Yeah, like a shot out of cannon. Yeah. Yeah. Shadour Sadr played the third quarter. He had an interception. He was six of 11, 79 yards. One interception. Watson played the entire first half.

Shadour played only one quarter. let's take a listen to what should doer had to say about the interception what i see the right read just a little just slip you know it's the right read it just slipped so that that's that's what makes me that's what makes me be mad a little bit because of it but you know i i don't any decision i make i know it's the right decision i just didn't execute the decision but the right decision was made so every day i look and and i see about decisions making like how's my decisions I'm making and that's how I grade myself off of you know obviously turn the ball over and all that stuff is is not great you know and it won't survive

a long time in the league doing that but um as long as my eyes and my feet and everything was in the right place being able to execute it and it just may happen so I look at the positive of things you know I'm alive I'm breathing I'm able to come up here to talk to y'all so You know, I can't beat that down. he's tried not to make the, you know, the same mistake over and over. I just enjoy watching them go out there and compete, but I thought it was a great battle between him and Deshaun today. I thought Deshaun looked great. She still had some great flashes. outside of that interception. I thought he was right. Yeah.

I mean, you don't think about it. This is Deshaun's first game back off of injury. He missed all the last year. He missed, what, probably 10 games the year before, played sparingly the year before that, missed the first 11 games the year before that. So he hadn't played a whole lot of football. I'm not so sure he's played a whole season in the last five years.

If you combine all the games that he's played, I'm not so sure, Ocho. He's played 17 games since he's been in Cleveland. And he definitely haven't played 17 games a continuous. Yeah. They've been kind of chopping up. Five here, seven here, eight there. Yeah.

With that being said, hey, but I think in order for them, the offensive line is going to have to get a lot better than what they've shown today. And you're going to have to push the ball down the field. Deshaun is going to probably be more apt to lose, use his legs. Shador is going to be more apt to try to get the ball out as quick as he possibly can, knowing that athleticism of being able to,

he's a pocket mover. I stepped to the side of his child. He got, he got what they call phone boot quickness. Yeah. There's a very limited area in which he's quick. Yeah. He ain't trying to go side to side and do all that other stuff.

That ain't what he is. Understand who you are, understand what you are, and get on. But we're going to find out, Adam Schetter reported, that the next game Shadour was supposed to start with the ones. We'll see how that is. There was a situation where Shadour was supposed to go with the ones,

and that didn't happen. So we'll find out next week what they, what Shepter reported, if that's true. Dylan Gabriel, who, first drive that included a pick, five of eight, 22 yards, one interception, two sacks.

He's just trying to, he just tried to do long handoffs. That man got eight of 10s for 22 yards Joe Joe I mean what what hell is that Hey that mean he ain't waiting for nothing To open up here he's trying to get it thing out his hands Yeah, no

Hey, hey, you got to give him, you got to look at who he was out there with too now. He wasn't out there with no first, second string here. He probably was out there with the third and fourth string guy. Guys who's going to be working at Home Depot here, you know, after the preseason. He keep playing like that. He'll be their manager. Hey, hey, hey, he'll be having a UPS or FedEx truck. If he ain't careful.

I mean, the man had 22 yards on five completions. Think about it. That's four yards of completion. There ain't nothing to checkdowns. You can't win no game like that. That ain't, that ain't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I didn't get it. Nothing, nothing. I get Dylan Gabriel, and he played with Oregon, but it's hard for me to see a scenario.

If I had put him at Colorado, he'd have been built with the same weapons. No way. He'd have been better at Colorado than Shadour. And if I put Shadour, if I push Shado, if I put Shado, if I put Shado, with Oregon and that talent, it's hard for me to see that he wouldn't have been as good, as good, if not better than Dylan Gabriel. Come on.

We, I think, I think we all can see that considering the fact that Shadoor still led to the NCAA and, completion. Yeah. So the fact that he's dropped, like damn to what, 35, 36, 30-something touchdowns?

Come on, man. Y'all know that man one of them fifth round pick. So I'm just, that was, that was not, that left a lot that left a lot to be desired that left a lot to be desired for Dylan Gabriel I mean he could be the third quarterback

but I can see a situation where they release him and then try to bring him back on the practice squad Dylan well they still they still got the they got the Arkansas kid yeah Tailing Green yeah he more he more of a project and I can see them put try to try to stash him and see if they can make because he has supreme athleticism.

Yeah. For me, that kind of athleticism, it doesn't really equate to play in that position. If he's that wide receiver, Joe, to be able to run that fast, to jump that high, I say,

hey, if I don't do nobody to ask, Oh, Joe, but put his ass on the goal line and make him do a jump ball. Hop on it. Drop, broke had like 42-inch vertical.

Oh, yeah. No, he's six, six. Hey, oh, you got to be careful now. You know, those boys, especially them starting corners. Once they get... Oh, they're going to press his ass now. They're going to press and they take a...

And the sideline is your friend. Now, all that vertical is real easy when ain't nobody in front of you. Yeah. Yeah. But, oh, all I'm trying to do is say, look here, sir. All I'm going to do is, hey, just get to the ends on them and I'm going to throw it until you jump up. That's it. That's all.

Now, I ain't fit to put it by there in the field of play. Because you're right. He's a big-ass target. And big target, you press. Now, unless you Megatron or you T.O. Julio that have played that position and know how to play through contact. Everybody doesn't know.

He's going to have to learn. He would have to learn. I get a prime example of Terrell Pryor. Yeah. Terrell Pryor. They moved Torel Pryor from a quarterback to wide receiver. And he went out of thousand yards. Yeah.

Good example. Good example. So, hey, I understand. I want to play me. They're like, man, I always dream to play a quarterback. I ain't dreamed to play in the NFL. So if it was a wide receiver, tied in, a linebacker,

I don't care, I don't give a damn what it was. That's what my dream. I didn't have a specific dream about a specific position. My dream was to play in the NFL. Joe, I know you say, hey, man, I want to play in the NBA. You didn't care if you were the point guard, a two guard, a three, four, or five, or six, whatever, whatever they need. Hey, hey, I'm a hoopper, it don't matter what damn position you put me at.

You know what I'm saying? I'm going to make something happen. You want me to play the point. You want me to facilitate, get guys involved. Oh, you want me to do. You want me to score this thing, huh, put some pressure on the defense? Yeah. I can do a little bit of everything.

Hey, I'm a hoopper, man. You put me in the game, coach. I promise, I'm going to make some play. That's it. That's it. So we'll see how this thing play out. They got two more game before they have to make some decisions. But they're going to make some decision.

I know it didn't end the way he wanted it to because Texas A&M kind of got manhandled and that uh uh but he was he was phenomenal he was phenomenal all year he looked good out of the day man he's gonna be nice we're gonna be nice now now the only issue is too especially is as comfortable as comfortable and as good as he looks so far i want to make sure you understand how difficult it's going to be week to week when you're facing those that one and that two yeah yeah it's a

One of two, yeah. And I think the hardest thing is that, because each corner is different. Each corner brings something different. Some people like to be handsy. Some like to play off. They like the clue. Some people, they'll freeze you.

Some people, they, hey, so it all depends. So you got to constantly, even during the course of the game, whether you're going against one, two, three, or four, it doesn't matter. You have to like, okay, this is what this guy likes to do, especially in this area of the field.

This down in distance, this is how he likes to play. This guy likes to play like this. And you got to constantly think all the while thinking, man, I got to get the 10, I got to get the 10 and get my damn head around. I got to get the 12 and get my head around. All that, there's a, there's a chest match going on.

I don't think people sometimes realize they think we're just going out of the Ocho just getting open. No, you, You got to think, Joe, you know this. Hey, different guys, Sean Marion might play you one way. TA might play you another way. Pat Bev might play you another way. All the while, what quarter is it?

Is it the first quarter, second quarter, third quarter? Okay, how much time is on the clock? Right. What's the ball game? How close are we in the one point game? Is it a two point game? Is it a ten point game? All that factors in.

All that you're thinking about all the things that I got to do, but the most important thing I got to do is get my black ass open. All that other stuff. So you think, son, what you're doing? Get, hey, Ocho, they quit. Get going. Go, go, go. I'm going, coach.

But I'm thinking about how to set this dude up. Hey, I call it quick but not in the hurry. Quick but not. Yes. And Joe chat as well, you got to think. We always talk about the it factor. You look at players, everybody's fast, big, strong, tall, whatever it may be, whatever it may be.

But the thing that separates you is up here because the game is 90% mental. 90% mental and 10% for all your attributes or whatever makes you special, you know, it comes into play. But the smarter you are up here and you're able to process things really, really fast and having a plan and being able to read and react. Because sometimes whatever your plan is, it might change when the ball snap. It might be when a dude, you know, he's playing head up. He's slide inside.

So to be able to still move at a fast pace and be able to read and react on the fly, man, that's what makes some of the greatest, the best of what they do. Yeah, and all the while, you knowing that he's inside and you've got an end-breaking route. I've got to, what kills me,

if a guy jumps inside, then all of a sudden you give up and the quarterback throws the ball and you hit the DB right in the chance and everybody looking at the quarterback. No, this mophole gave up on the route. Yeah, yeah. You never, if you got to cross,

every damn route, they're going to pick that up. Yeah, any of the world. Hell now. Ben Johnson said wide receivers coach Antoine Randallel L, called plays in the second half versus the Browns today. Chicago scored 24 points and put up 235 yards of offense.

This is his opportunity to be an offensive. and eventually move up to be a head coach. I like that by Ben Johnson. I like, because a lot of times, sometimes they don't get your chances. Yes. Sometimes they don't get your chances. Somebody had to give Ben Johnson a chance.

Roll it forward. Now, he's giving somebody else a chance. I can rock. Excuse me. I can rock with this. I can rock with this. Because he's paid his dude that's wide receiver coach.

It's time to move up now. I ain't trying. I mean, there's some coaches, Ocho and Joe. They okay with being a lifetime linebacker coach. or a lifetime D-Line or O-line coach. But I don't think Antoine, I don't think that's what he has, he aspires to be.

I think he says, I can be much more than this. Yes, I can still offer insight at the Y receiver position, but I can be an O-C. I can be a head coach. He's put his time in. I like this.

He was a really good receiver. He was a jack receiver when he was at Pittsburgh. He'd catch the ball, he'd run the ball, he threw that touchdown in the Heinz in the Super Bowl. He was a quarterback at Indiana. I was going to say that. He was the quarterback in Indiana.

Yeah. But he said, this is what Ben Johnson said. I think he has a chance to be an OC in this league. And I think he has a good chance to be a head coach in this league. Ben Johnson, I would agree. Yeah. I would agree. The question is, you believe in that.

Unfortunately, you're not a general manager with another team. Somebody going to give him an opportunity to do that. Right. You got to think, how many opportunities have they had to be off? No. The thing is because you say they say they, we know who they are. Owners, general managers say they want somebody that has called plays before. But we see them time and time again, take people from Shanahan staff and they don't call plays.

Kyle Shanahan called plays. They'll take guys from a McVey's staff. McVeigh call plays. They'll take guys from LaFleur. He calls the plays. O'Connell calls the plays. Taylor calls the plays. I got no problem. I don't have a problem. Say, you know what, Ocho, I want some, if you say I want somebody that had previous experience and then you go

get somebody that does not have experience, you don't understand why I might be looking at you sideways. I mean, if we're hiring people, say, you know what, we're looking for EP's, we're looking for producers, we're looking for editors, we're looking for graphic designers, but we're looking for somebody to have previous experience. Okay, all these people apply. And they're previous experience and then we hire somebody that didn't have experience you could understand that why somebody like well I thought you say you wanted with somebody that has done this before right all talk that's it's all that's it that's it you know I was about you know I was a bad experience before

you know drop it you don't see a little previous experience with that that's all that don't that don't make me no bad brother no it don't know you know you know maybe oh Joe don't have me no bad brother, you go somebody who know what they're doing. Yeah. I ain't said you got a twerking public, but you know, behind closed doors, let me see you. Let me see that thing hydrotic.
