Starting point is 00:05:56 Ash is, hey, pretty soon say you know what? Buy one get one free. Ash ain't know. I've got to take Ash a hundred digits. She can no longer over the company. She just give it to us away. She's giving it away 25% off.
Starting point is 00:06:13 Yeah, she's giving 25% off now. You got to understand. You got to understand the economy and where we are right now. With 25% off supply and demand, it rises. It raises exponentially and you have more buyers that way. That's what it is? Yeah,
Starting point is 00:06:28 I would think so. Well, if you buy, you don't get 25% off. I'm just letting you know that. I don't need no discount. I don't need no discount because I stole my hat and my hoodie. Yeah. What you going to do with Rhea? What you going to do with Rhea? Oh, she ain't getting none.
Starting point is 00:06:43 She ain't getting none. Listen, she's not a part of She ain't getting none. She ain't getting none. Listen, she's not a part of the show. We allow her to make an appearance every so often. Yes, the appearance. Yeah, that's it. That's it. That's it. And she got to stop coming on here, too, because, like, people are getting—
Starting point is 00:06:57 I don't think they mean to disrespect me in public, but it's disrespectful addressing me as ultra risotto. Again, that makes me feel uncomfortable. You say you'll stay at home, dad. So you got to take on the wife's last name. That's what women do all the time. So you got to take on Chad Ocho Cinco Rosado.
Starting point is 00:07:18 That has nothing to do with it. I think people are getting a little carried away with it because you say it and coming from you, it's okay. Now, y'all ain't going to be calling me this shit in public. Okay. Rosado.
Starting point is 00:07:31 Ocho, your team is on the elimination. They go down 3-0. The Dallas Mavericks beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 116-107 and it was because of Kyrie and Luka they were sensational. Both guys scored 33 points. Both guys were extremely efficient. Kyrie and Luka. They were sensational. Both guys scored 33 points. Both guys were extremely efficient.
Starting point is 00:07:50 Kyrie was 12 of 20 from the floor for 33. Luka was 10 of 20 from the floor, 5 of 11 from 3. Kyrie was 3 of 6 from 3, 33 points. But it's been Kyrie the last two fourth quarters. And the last two fourth quarters, he was 14 points on 5 of 7, plus 9. Tonight, he was 13 points, four or five plus eight. Missed the fourth quarter. He did it again. And the thing that I thought was going to cause Minnesota problem
Starting point is 00:08:12 was that dynamic duo. Because they can get any shot they want, anytime they want. They can shoot the three ball. They can put the ball on the floor and get to the mid-range. They can get all the way to the basket. Either hand, either guy, they're tremendous tremendous and i thought that would be a problem but i was thinking that you know cat and and and ant-man could offset that yeah play those guys to a standstill now mike connelly naz reed jane mcdaniels nikhil uh walker alexander uh alexander walker yeah those guys say you know
Starting point is 00:08:41 what okay we're gonna make it a we're to make it a three-on-three tournament. We're going to neutralize your big two, and then we're going to play basketball. But that's the difference in the ballgame, Ocho, and also the Dallas Mavericks was one of the best teams in the clutch. NBA-defined clutch, last five minutes of the game, game within five points. I think there were one or two,
Starting point is 00:09:05 them and the Lakers went back and forth. Team late in the ballgame, five, down five, five minutes in the ballgame. And you see execution after execution. The ball's going to be in one of those guys' hands. Right. It's going to be in Luka's hand, or it's going to be in Kyrie's.
Starting point is 00:09:20 Yeah, one or the other. And they're going to get a great shot, or they're going to find the perfect pass. Yeah. When you're watching this game, what did you see? I mean, listen, we didn't do enough. We didn't do enough and I'm breaking down a little bit emotionally
Starting point is 00:09:33 because I wanted to see something different. I wanted to see the Ant-Man magic. I wanted to see the face of the league rise to the occasion against Luka, against Kyrie. I wanted to see cat do what he does i wanted to see goddamn rudy gerber show up to the party every night we got naz reed i said the wolves are gonna win this game in seven the reason i said they were gonna win the game in seven
Starting point is 00:10:00 was because of the height and the length that the maavs had to deal with. And it seems like none of that is working. None of that is working. Even though in the post, by the rim, by the basket, where those seven-footers are, I'm thinking, okay, because of their size and length, they will cause problems for Kyrie and Luka. And it just hasn't come to that in three goddamn games. Not only that, on the offensive side of the ball, we are not matching wits with what they're doing.
Starting point is 00:10:29 They are putting on a show every goddamn night. Kyrie, like a goddamn light switch. He pick and choose when he want to turn it on. Luka, did you see Luka hit the fadeaway? The fadeaway, like, toward the end. Like, come on, man. He just, okay, he not just throwing it up. But, like, can't nobody
Starting point is 00:10:48 do nothing with him. So, like, I feel bad because I'm breaking down. I'm breaking down emotionally because I picked the Wolves to win in seven because I want to see the face of the league. I want to see a man do something that's never been done before, you know? And it's not panning out
Starting point is 00:11:03 the way I thought it would. I got money on the line, and that is really why my feelings are hurt. And I'm kind of emotional and I'm crying behind my shades because I don't really want nobody to make me a meme. I don't want people to laugh at me. And man, it's unfortunate, man. It's unfortunate. I don't know. I don't know how many times the team has come back down from 3-0 or 0-3. Never. Huh? Never. Normally, they don't even get an opportunity to force a game seven. Right. Okay. Well, you know what?
Starting point is 00:11:31 It might happen. It might happen. The Ant-Man magic and the Ant-Man that I know, they might come back from 0-3 and shock the world. I'm a believer. If you look at Ocho. Yes, sir. Do you realize that Ant and Cat
Starting point is 00:11:48 shot 16 of 44? Yeah. Now, just the other night, they were 9 of 33. Yeah. So 9 of 33, 16 of 44. How you going to win like that? I don't know, man.
Starting point is 00:12:02 And when you look at it here, the problem that they have is that when the bigs come to take Kyrie and Luka, once they get past their defender, all they're going to do is lob it up. And there's Lively dunking on your head. There's Gafford dunking on your head.
Starting point is 00:12:16 Derrick Jones going to dunk it on your head. So the thing is, is that because they can't, they don't really have anybody that can stay in front of Luka and Kyrie. And you got to send the bigs to help. You send the bigs to help, we lob it up. It's an easy two points.
Starting point is 00:12:30 Now, you hope that, but Kyrie and Luka can still finish. You see Kyrie with the and-ones? He's matching with the basketball and his and-ones. He can do whatever he wants. But at some point, they got to have an off-night shoot, man. I mean, they have been efficient from the field the past three games. At some point, they got to have an off-night shoot, man. I mean, they have been efficient from the field the past three games.
Starting point is 00:12:47 At some point, they have to have an off-night. And I think when they had that off-night, Ant, you got to come through for me. Cat, you got to come through for me, man.
Starting point is 00:12:55 You know? I got titles on the line. I got a lease on the line. Like, I need y'all. I know y'all going to see this clip. Like, somebody got to do something.
Starting point is 00:13:03 Rudy, even if you were a defensive player of the year, I need you not to be an offensive liability. I need 20. I need 20 and 10 from goddamn Rudy. That's what I need.
Starting point is 00:13:14 That's not what he is. Even that's not what he is, but I need you to do something different. That's what I need. It's the playoffs. We talk about going to the NBA championship.
Starting point is 00:13:22 Well, but here's the thing. If you look at it, they, but here's the thing. If you look at it, they shot 51% from the floor. They lost the three-point battle. But when you look at it, the bigs, the problem that even I underestimated a little bit was how active and good defensively the bigs for Dallas are. They don't have the name. You know, you look at Daniel Gafford. He was a trade, late trade. You look at Daniel Gafford. He was a late trade. You look at
Starting point is 00:13:47 P.J. Washington. He was a trade. You look at Lively. He was a rookie. They do a great job of protecting. You see Gafford get that block at the end? Lively, challenging everything. You come inside, he's going to challenge you. Even they got some minutes out of Jerome Powell tonight, who hadn't played a whole lot he came in he played eight minutes but you
Starting point is 00:14:09 had he's another big yeah and so they're getting great production from anybody that steps on the floor they're getting production from so you look at all the guys that everybody that stepped on the floor that played at least two minutes, they scored. So you're basically telling me the series is over? It ain't looking good. I ain't saying it's over, but
Starting point is 00:14:35 the chance of slimming none. And slim been eating. It ain't looking good for me on this end there man no it ain't looking good damn but what do you do Ocho see now you saying are you hoping they be off four games in a row because that's what you got to do you got to beat this team four games in a row
Starting point is 00:14:56 and you say what if they have an off game yeah well you guys haven't had an own game yeah look at Cat numbers what he shot Cat is probably shooting in the 30% time so that's see what you just said, I like that I like that, okay, at some point Maybe the next game, game 4 Let's say Kyrie and Luka have an off night
Starting point is 00:15:13 Then Obviously Ant-Man Emerges and does what we know it can do Cat has a spectacular game Rudy Gobert plays Lights out, Nas Reed From the perimeter has a game In the block has a game game. Rudy Gobert plays lights out. Nas Reid from the perimeter has a game. In the
Starting point is 00:15:28 block has a game. And then we match wit for wit from that point on because our back is against the wall. Our back's against the wall. And hope we can make this an interesting series and not get swept. I'm hoping. Because I'm
Starting point is 00:15:44 rarely, I'm very, very rarely wrong when it comes to guessing on who's going to win games, whether it be football, NBA, soccer. I'm really wrong. And I really, really, I'm talking about deep down inside, I really thought the Cavs, I really thought the Wolves were going to shock the world and win this series in seven.
Starting point is 00:16:02 Dwight Powell, not Jerome. Dwight Powell. Jerome Powell is the damn fan chair. Dwight Powell. Jerome Powell is the damn fan chair. Dwight Powell. He doesn't play much, so I mispronounced his name. I'm sorry. But he came in and gave some great minutes tonight. I don't think the game would have been this close had Derek Lively not taken
Starting point is 00:16:15 that knee to the back of the head. He's more active. He's a more active player. He understands he does a great job of rolling to the rim. He does a great job of offensive rebounding. And, you know, Gafford at the end of the half, there's one second
Starting point is 00:16:32 on the clock. Rudy Gobert got the ball. And he reaches in and commits a foul. Why? Why? I don't know, man. And so when you look at, when you look at, and you say okay, you hope they shoot bad. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:46 But if I get to my spot, the likelihood of you making me shoot bad, and I get to, every time I get, I go, just think about Ocho. Yeah. You get to run every route,
Starting point is 00:16:56 you win every route you run. You say, man, Ocho, he going to drop some sooner or later. Yeah. You mean to tell me you going to let me run the out? You going to let me run the bang?
Starting point is 00:17:04 You going to let me run the dig? You going to let me run the out? You're going to let me run the bang? You're going to let me run the dig? You're going to let me run the in? Bro, I'm getting whatever I want. And the best thing you can hope is not defense. Is that, man, I hope he drop it. That's what you hope. Listen, I have no other answer.
Starting point is 00:17:20 I have no other answer. That's the only thing I can hope for. People that are fans of the Wolves, That's the only thing I can hope for. People that are fans of the Wolves, that's the only thing they can hope for. Dallas fans, probably, they are already ready. They already, they celebrating. They ready. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:37 I mean, them two guys in the backcourt, we've never seen guys that can handle the ball in the backcourt that can score like these can't guys can't right i'm gonna let y'all debate who y'all think the back greatest backcourt of all time joe dumars but isaiah thomas they couldn't score like these two okay um isaiah was more of a prototypical point guard he could distribute isaiah led the league in assists right uh so have i think luca i don't know if luca's ever led the league in assists. Right. So has, I think, Luka. I don't know if Luka's ever led the league in assists.
Starting point is 00:18:06 We know he's led the league in scoring. And Kyrie, we know Kyrie can score. Joe D was more of a lockdown defender. He could score the basketball. He's finals MVP. So obviously he's a good player. He's in the basketball Hall of Fame. So I'm not trying to diminish him.
Starting point is 00:18:21 But I don't know if we've seen two guys at the guard position. Okay, you look at Klay and Steph. Right. Obviously, Steph is a two-time scoring champ, if I'm not mistaken, and he's an MVP. But Klay, yeah, Klay has had some outstanding shooting game, but he can't go get buckets like Klay. I mean, like Kyrie. Right.
Starting point is 00:18:38 Who did? Luka. Luka finished second in assists. So, yeah, this backcourt right here, because they put so much pressure on you, because they can shoot the ball from outside, because normally guys that shoot the ball outside, they don't finish at the rim.
Starting point is 00:18:50 Both of these guys can finish at the rim. And now they can go... Now Kyrie's got a little case of the year up to the free throw line. He's missed like... I think he's missed about five or six free throws in the past three games, which is very uncharacteristic of him because he's normally a 90, 91, 92% free throw shooter.
Starting point is 00:19:09 Right. So for him to miss the kind of free throws that he's missing, that's very uncharacteristic of him. But Minnesota is going to have, I don't really know what else Minnesota can do, Ocho, because you said Rudy, Rudy is going to give you what Rudy does. He is what he is. Yeah. But, you know, when it comes to times like this, you have to do more. You have to do something special that we haven't seen before.
Starting point is 00:19:31 You have to be extraordinary. You can't just go by based on what you did during the regular season. It come playoff time, you have to rise to the occasion. You have to. You have to. And listen, I'm hurt. You don't understand. you have to you have to and listen I just I'm hurt you don't understand like if they lose this series
Starting point is 00:19:49 well it's not looking good I'm not going to say they lose I'll tell you but I'm saying the old fat lady she humming she know she drinking salt water right now and lemon she warming up she getting her voice ready she warming up me me me me me me me, me, me, me, me. Tirely, man.
Starting point is 00:20:08 But you know what? Me, me, me, me, me, me, me. Damn, man. It's tough because you're so close. They took down the defending champs. Yeah. And everybody is supporting. I'm telling you, it's about telling,
Starting point is 00:20:25 I say, bro, if y'all watch the Mavericks this year and you see that Luca and Kyrie can take turns dancing on you, both guys, we saw Luca, Luca had a, a 60,
Starting point is 00:20:36 20 triple double. Do you understand how hard that is to score 60 points, grab 20 rebounds and dish out double digital assist. Yeah. And Kyrie, man, bro, we,
Starting point is 00:20:50 we seen Kyrie dance with the best of them. Yeah. Kyrie can go get 20, 25 points in a quarter. He can go get 50 at the drop of a hat. So, and, and when you got two guys that they can create their own,
Starting point is 00:21:04 I ain't got to get them get them i don't gotta have somebody give them the ball right like a big they can literally bring the ball up and dance on you and get whatever shot they want yeah anytime they want so unless you trap them blitz them get the ball out of their hands oh you at their mercy right you're at their mercy that's great like you said you hope they miss yeah Yeah. Can you imagine this? Now, I hate to be thinking ahead of time. So how well do the Cavs match up with the Celtics? And imagine, just imagine this. Imagine Kyrie winning the ring against the Celtics.
Starting point is 00:21:40 You mean the Mavs match up with the Celtics? I mean, I'm sorry. Yeah, the Mavs match up with the Celtics I'm sorry yeah the Mavs match up with the Celtics it'd be a good match up very good I mean Derek Derek White is a tremendous
Starting point is 00:21:51 on ball defender but he ain't doing he ain't doing anything with Kyrie Kyrie gonna get whatever he want yeah the question is
Starting point is 00:21:58 who did they put on Luka is it JT or JB because he gonna zap him he gonna take a lot of energy out of you. How tall is Jalen Brown?
Starting point is 00:22:08 Jalen Brown is like 6'8", 6'7", 6'8". What? Yeah, JT like 6'9", 6'10". They're a big team. They're a big team. The Mavericks match up with them well because, you know, they go lively at 7'1". They go gaffer at 6'10".
Starting point is 00:22:22 They go P.J. Washington probably 6-8, 6-9. Right. So they match up. They match up well. Yeah, Derrick Jones Jr. can defend. He's going to probably take I would assume. Harry? He takes, nah, he takes
Starting point is 00:22:39 he'll take JT. P.J. Washington will take JB. Okay. I'm Michael Kasson, founder and CEO of 3C Ventures and your guide on Good Company, the podcast where I sit down with the boldest innovators shaping what's next. In this episode, I'm joined by Anjali Sood, CEO of Tubi, for a conversation that's anything but ordinary. We dive into the competitive world of streaming, how she's turning so-called niche into mainstream gold, connecting audiences with stories that truly make them feel seen. What others
Starting point is 00:23:12 dismiss as niche, we embrace as core. It's this idea that there are so many stories out there, and if you can find a way to curate and help the right person discover the right content, the term that we always hear from our audience is that they feel seen. to curate and help the right person discover the right content. The term that we always hear from our audience is that they feel seen. Get a front row seat to where media, marketing, technology, entertainment, and sports collide. And hear how leaders like Anjali are carving out space and shaking things up a bit in the most crowded of markets. Listen to Good Company on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:23:56 In the fall of 1986, Ronald Reagan found himself at the center of a massive scandal that looked like it might bring down his presidency. Did you make a mistake in sending arms to Tehran, sir? No. It became known as the Iran-Contra affair. And I'm not taking any more questions in just a second. I'm going to ask... I'm Leon Nafak, co-creator of Slow Burn.
Starting point is 00:24:23 In my podcast, Fiasco, Iran Contra, you'll hear all the unbelievable details of a scandal that captivated the nation nearly 40 years ago, but which few of us still remember today. The things that happened were so bizarre and insane, I can't begin to tell you. Please do. To hear the whole story,
Starting point is 00:24:51 listen to Fiasco, Iran Contra on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Damn. And then you have Gafford, that'll match up with Al Horford. And then you have Gafford. They'll match up with Al Horford. And then, oh, Holiday. Holiday will take Luka. Okay.
Starting point is 00:25:13 Holiday will take Luka. No, Drew, he too damn small. He's strong, though. He got no choice. He got no choice. Holiday will take Luka. And Derek White will take Luka and Derek White will take Kyrie
Starting point is 00:25:27 and they'll play from there but it'll be a great series it'll be a great series who you got in that one I took I took the Celtics we had to pick and I took the Celtics to win the title but I picked the Mavs to come out of the West
Starting point is 00:25:44 but it's going to be a great series it's going to be a tremendous series I can see it going seven games excuse me I can see it going seven games but the Dallas Mavericks are one win both teams the Celtics and the Mavs
Starting point is 00:26:00 are one win away from advancing to the NBA finals the Celtics play tomorrow night with a chance to close out the Pacers. And the Mavericks play the Timberwolves on Tuesday night at home with a chance to close out the T-Wolves. So, might be sweeps
Starting point is 00:26:17 in the Eastern and Western Conference Finals after we had that great seven games. Had seven games, Pacers-Knicks. We had seven games Wolves-Nuggets. And now we might got a might have sweeps in both conferences.
Starting point is 00:26:39 Bang! Why are they? I don't think so because they already got them pegged. They already got them set. Game one will start winning. I think they got them set. Already?
Starting point is 00:26:53 Because you're messing up the TV schedule. Yeah. They might. Oh, my God. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Because June 6th, that's like two weeks. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:05 I'm sure they got a contingency plan for that. Okay. All right, Ocho. It's time for our first segment of the day, and it's called News Cap. Kyle Kuzma rejected a trade to the Dallas Mavericks at the deadline because they weren't true contenders. This is what Kuzma rejected a trade to the Dallas Mavericks at the deadline because they weren't true contenders. This is what Kuzma told the Athletics. In my career, I won a championship.
Starting point is 00:27:30 So I understand that when we play this game of basketball, it's not about contending for a playoff spot. It's about contending for an NBA championship. There are only three or four contenders, true contenders, and I just felt like our timelines didn't add up. Dallas ended the trade, ended up trading for P.J. Washington and Daniel Gafford instead. What was he looking at?
Starting point is 00:27:52 I'm just curious. Before Gafford and P.J. Washington got there, how could you not see Luka and Kyrie and think, you know what, we have a true opportunity to win an NBA championship? And he says, you know what, I don't want to go there. Because they weren't playing like this when they got PJ, when they got PJ and they got Gafford,
Starting point is 00:28:11 it changed everything around. Okay. They only ended up like, they ended up losing like two or three games once they got those guys. So they took off and went to a, but in the process you got to foresee because sometimes people only look at the position that they're in and they don't forecast and see the really great people yes can forecast because if you only look
Starting point is 00:28:34 at the situation if i only looked at where i was i would have never been where i am right if you only looked at where you were i'm in liberty city and that's all you saw well how do you go further than Liberty City? Kyle Kuzma could only see what he saw right then and there. But I mean my mindset listen I'm not Kyle Kuzma he's a great player obviously this season
Starting point is 00:28:56 he had 22 he averaged 22 a game he was 77% from the line 33% from three but I'm looking at it from the standpoint I don't care what you got
Starting point is 00:29:06 there, I'm getting ready to go play with greatness. Even if they weren't winning at the time, oh shoot, I got an opportunity to play with Kyrie, I have an opportunity to play with Luka, I understand how dynamic they are offensively, I could be the third head to that monster. I could be the third head to that monster.
Starting point is 00:29:22 Who turns that down? Even if they weren't winning. Let me go there. Let me go to Dallas and be a difference maker and turn things around. Let me do my let me do my due justice. That's just that's the way I would think. PJ is a better fit because you look at the numbers that Kuz is averaging. They would need him to average 22 and can, the thing is, you have to understand, look at the guys. Brandon Ingram needed to be out elsewhere because he couldn't be the B.I.
Starting point is 00:29:50 that went to the All-Star game playing with LeBron and AD. Kuzma, you see how Kuzma looked in Washington as opposed to how he looked in L.A.? So now, he didn't really want to be in that situation again. he liked being able to shoot as much as he want whenever you go okay i see what you're talking about i see where you're going truth be told i see where you're going because he knows it goes luca and kairi and
Starting point is 00:30:15 whatever's left it's got a you get to eat so pj is a better fit because P.J. doesn't need to try to score 22 points to show his value. Sometimes guys only see their value in scoring. P.J. say, you know what? I might just need to knock down a three late in the ballgame. I need to play defense. I need to play. I need to rebound. Right.
Starting point is 00:30:40 See, you see Ant-Man in game seven. He didn't score. But he says, you know what? I'm going to set screens. You know what? I'm going to set screens. You know what? I'm going to hound the hell out of Jamal Murray. And so you have to see value in other areas as opposed to just scoring. See, the team that does that the best, the 49ers.
Starting point is 00:30:57 They're wide receivers. They might not catch 400, but they're going to block their ass off. They're going to run hard and open up the screen, push the guy down the field so when McCaffrey catches it or the tight end catches the screen, instead of getting 10, 12 yards, he's getting 20, 30 yards, maybe even take it to the house. And so I think
Starting point is 00:31:13 P.J., I think it was a great move. Nothing happened by an accident. I think P.J. fits better. I think they are where they are because of P.J. and Daniel Gafford, the trade trade because it made them formidable on the defensive end. But hey, those
Starting point is 00:31:29 things happen. You look back like, damn, missed out on the opportunity. The Suns are hoping to pursue LeBron James this offseason, which is why Bronny James' very serious draft option at 22 overall are potentially l in him.
Starting point is 00:31:45 Phoenix appeared to believe that they could convince LeBron to join forces with Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal to create a historic super team. LeBron would be sacrificing 50 million next season. If he were legitimately considered joining the suns on a veteran minimum, veteran minimum. Oh, Joe. So he stands a chance to make about 58 million veteran minimum. Veteran minimum? Ocho.
Starting point is 00:32:05 So he stands a chance to make about $58 million. Right. Veteran minimum is what? $6 million? $8 million? Who gives Ocho? Yeah. Hey, listen.
Starting point is 00:32:18 Unless they pay him $40 plus under the goddamn table, I don't see that happening. Hell nah. Hey, the last time somebody tried to have something under the goddamn table. I don't see that happening. Hell nah. Hey, the last time some team, somebody tried to have something under the table, it was the Minnesota Timberwolves. And they did that with Joe Smith. And David Stern dropped the hammer
Starting point is 00:32:34 on him and they didn't recover. Took three first round draft. He took the first round draft pick every year for like three years. And who the hell snitched on Joe? Hey, I don't know who snitched on him but david stern found out so that under the table stuff right leave it alone don't even mess with me i was just i was just you already got no draft pick you better not have no draft picks to 2040
Starting point is 00:32:55 right right i mean listen i mean it's cute it's cute at this point in lebron's career uh money still does play a factor, but playing for veteran minimum as one of the greatest all-time, I don't see it happening. Now, is LeBron in a position to sacrifice the money to get another ring? Yes, he's in a position to do that because
Starting point is 00:33:17 he makes so much off the court, but him taking a pay cut of that magnitude, it ain't happening. I don't see it happening. So, again, I think everything's in limbo. All of us as analysts, all of us that enjoy the game of basketball are all guessing on what's going to happen. I think wherever Bronny Jr. goes, that is where LeBron will go. You said it's not going to happen now. You said maybe two or three years down the line. I don't think it's going to be that long. I think it happens now. So him being a free agent right now
Starting point is 00:33:46 is all contingent on where Bronny James goes, Bronny Jr. goes. I guarantee you I'm not wrong. I know I'm not wrong. And it's worth noting, James Jones and LeBron, they did play together in Miami in one championship. And when LeBron went back to Cleveland,
Starting point is 00:34:04 JJ went with him. So they have remained friends throughout that process. So it's worth noting, but I agree with you, Ochoa. I don't see anybody taking a $50 million haircut. Now, I might take a little bit off the side,
Starting point is 00:34:18 but you ain't finna skin fade me. You ain't finna ball me. I don't know. So there is no more money left to go around because of Beal. Yeah, because all those guys are on max contract.
Starting point is 00:34:29 So everybody you sign... But see, that's why it's hard for you to fill out a roster when you have three guys on max contract. Two guys, you can still get
Starting point is 00:34:38 two quality players at mid-level, but not the minimum. But when you put LeBron, LeBron's... Nah, I don't see LeBron playing on the mid-level. They ain't even gonna have no LeBron's... I don't see LeBron playing on the vet minimum. They ain't even going to have no goddamn bench.
Starting point is 00:34:47 They ain't even going to have no bench. Now you're going to be having G-League guys, guys on two-way contracts. I don't see it happening either, Ocho. I don't. All right, Ocho, check this out. The Chiefs offense is about to get even more scared, if you can believe it. A team
Starting point is 00:35:03 which already featured my homeboy Travis Kelsey and Rasheed Rice, should be even better in 2024. Brett Beach added, the Chiefs and Explosive Corps weapons, signing Hollywood Brown and the guy that ran the fastest 40 time in combine history, Xavier Worthy. Mahomes has already noticed the difference in the OTA. When asked what the Chiefs have been working on, Mahomes said, get back to the deep ball. I think we've done a great job of mastering the intermediate and short stuff, but we want to get back to having a part of the offense as well. Coach is really pushing for us to push the ball down the field.
Starting point is 00:35:41 And he got, remember, Hollywood Brown ran 4-2-7. He can go now. Xavier Worthy ran 4-2-7. Xavier Worthy ran 4-2-1. He can go now. And you remember, when they had Reek, they could go bombs over Baghdad. Are they getting back to that? Yeah, they can get back to that, but
Starting point is 00:35:57 we have to remember the comparison. This is Tyreek Hill we're talking about. This is Tyreek Hill. I love Hollywood Brown. I love Xavier Worthy. But they're not Tyreek Hill.reek hill we're talking about this is tyreek hill i love hollywood brown i love xavier worthy but they're not tyreek hill now we're just comparing the two because of the speed but there's so many other variables that go into play when it comes to playing the game and playing the game of receiver now do you have all the tools and the potential to be like tyreek yes you do but you have to be able to do it on the field. Tyreek, he can run short routes. He can run intermediate routes.
Starting point is 00:36:28 He can go deep. He can run the entire tree. Now, have these two proved that they can do the same thing consistently? And for Mahomes to be saying some of the stuff that he's doing? Probably so.
Starting point is 00:36:41 Probably so. Because they do all the small stuff so goddamn well. It's going to open up the offense because of the dynamic duel that they do have. Xavier Worthy was the real deal at Texas. He was the real deal. But will you be able to transition into the NFL and know how to use your speed, when to be deceptive, when to be running full tilt, how to run your digs, how to run your slams, how to use your speed, when to be deceptive, when to be running full tilt,
Starting point is 00:37:05 how to run your digs, how to run your slams, how to run your curls and be that threat like Tyreek is. There's nothing you can do with Tyreek. Nothing. There's no way to cover him. There's no defense to stop him. Can you be exactly like that outside of just running fast in a straight line?
Starting point is 00:37:21 There's so much other stuff you have to be able to do. But I understand where Mahomes is coming from. They've mastered all the intermediate stuff and the short stuff. If those two, if Hollywood Brown and goddamn Xavier figure it out, if they can figure out the short and intermediate stuff and be able to
Starting point is 00:37:38 take some of the short stuff and hit their head off the goalpost, man, the deep stuff is going to come. It's going to be like taking candy from a baby. Oh, Joe. Think about it. I got Trav. I got Rasheed Rice. They can do all that junk stuff. Yeah. I got two. Because normally,
Starting point is 00:37:53 they've never had two guys. That move like that. That can get down the field in a hurry. Yeah. So, where you going to roll coverage to? Hey, your joke was released outside. Good luck, safety. Good luck. You can't double everybody.
Starting point is 00:38:10 No, the question is, Ocho. The question is, can Xavier Worthy play through contact? Because, you know, he's a small frame guy. He's 165. 165? Yeah, he's 165. When I think about it,
Starting point is 00:38:25 he's so twitchy, though. He's so twitchy. Now, what DBs are going to want to do, they're going to be just as quick. They might not be as fast, but what they're going to try to do, they're going to try to stife you and throw off the timing
Starting point is 00:38:36 by catching you at the line of scrimmage. Yes, yes. So how good is Xavier Worthy in man-to-man and bump and run? Correct. That's all it's going to come down to. Once you show, you're going to be man to man.
Starting point is 00:38:48 Oh, you might. It's curtains. The show is over if he can be bump and run consistently like Tyree can. A Keenan Allen can. Or a Devontae Adams. But see, those guys don't have...
Starting point is 00:39:04 We've never seen a guy like... We've seen guys, and I've been in the league with guys that were track stars. Sam Braddy, he won the silver medal in the Olympics. He was on the 4x1 in the 88 Olympics and sold it. That won the gold. 84.
Starting point is 00:39:20 84 Olympics. All those guys. I've seen twitchy guys. James Jett. Yeah. He was on a 92 team. Yeah, I remember James. But they weren't.
Starting point is 00:39:32 He is a football. Tyreek is a football player with track speed. Yeah. I saw Willie Galt. Willie Galt from Georgia. So I knew Willie, you know, followed his career. He was twitchy. but nothing like Tyreek. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:47 If you look at the way Tyreek is built, you can say, oh, you would never think he ran track. You said that's a football player. Right. Because the way he's built from ways down, he's sturdy as fuck. Yeah. Oh, excuse me. Yeah. He's sturdy.
Starting point is 00:40:00 He ain't got no, he ain't narrow him. He's not thin limb. You know, you look at Xavier Worthy, he looks like he can run because he's like a track guy. Most track guys are built like him. If you ever see those professional track guys, you're like, damn, that's why you run so fast. Dude, you only a buck 50? You a buck 60? Tyreek 190, 195.
Starting point is 00:40:24 I'm talking about solid. He's bound tight. And if you look at him, you're like, yeah, he's explosive. You look at Tyreek or anybody that's ever been around him close, you can look at him and tell if you know athletes, you can tell he's
Starting point is 00:40:39 explosive. I can just look at him. The first time I saw him, I said, oh, he's explosive. Listen, I like my what Mahomes got to use this year, man, it's almost unfair, man. It's almost unfair. And I'm telling you, Hollywood Brown, I know what he can do. Oh, he can run. He can get off the jam.
Starting point is 00:41:00 Xavier Worthy, I'm telling you, boy, if young bull, if young bull, I don't know where he trained at during the offseason, but all he need to work on is man- man and getting off that goddamn ball get off that release it's over it's over it's over for everybody because that means well hell now we got to double team him well you can't now you can't double double team hollywood brian and xavier then you got kelsey gonna kill. Then you got Kelsey going to kill you underneath. You got Rasheed Rice when he comes back from suspension. Oh, hell. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:41:32 And that's the thing, though, Ocho. If I'm him, I'm just working on my release because you can run. Because everybody's going to be looking for you to go deep. But you can't be a one-trick pony. You're going to have to run the comeback. You're going to have to run the end cut. You're going to have to run the overs. You're going to have to run the end cut. You're going to have to run the overs. You're going to have to run the bang.
Starting point is 00:41:47 Shallow crosses. That's what made Tyreek, because they used to bring Tyreek in. Tyreek was just the gadget guy. Tyreek said, later for this, man, I want to play all the time. Just don't run me in here to run a trick or flea flick or some stuff like that. Hey, taught himself, now Tyreek
Starting point is 00:42:04 can run the route tree. And because he got so much feed, man, I got to back up off him. Now, he gonna run the stop on you, he gonna run the out, he gonna run the dig, the in, he gonna run it all, because I'm afraid of it. And if I don't quick jam him,
Starting point is 00:42:19 if he's in Miami, you can't quick jam him because he can hear the snap count. The only thing you can hope is he's on the road and he has to look in at the ball to see when it snaps. And then you can freeze it. Other than that, it's a wrap. Okay. You miss if you want.
Starting point is 00:42:37 He ain't a guy. You ain't got to miss by much. If you let him get even with you, it's over. It's a done deal. It's over. It's a done deal. It's over. It's a done deal. Just go A. Just go ahead and point A. Just go ahead and call the PAT team out. It's a
Starting point is 00:42:52 tough one, yo. Just go ahead and get your PAT. Hey, PAT! I like it, though. I like it. I mean, listen. Mahomes can talk. He can talk like that. He can talk like that because he understands what he's had or what he has in Xavier Worthy and Hollywood Brown. So, he can talk like that. He can talk like that because he understands what he's had or what he has in Xavier Worthy and Hollywood Brown. So
Starting point is 00:43:07 he can talk like that. I like it. But they ain't going to be the goddamn Bengals though, but go ahead. Man, if somebody would have told you, Ocho, think about it. If I took Chase from Cincinnati, you think they can win the Super Bowl?
Starting point is 00:43:23 Without Jamar? Yeah. No, because you need one dynamic superstar. You need one dynamic superstar. You need that. If I took CD from the Cowboys, if I took Tyreek from Miami,
Starting point is 00:43:41 so what one player could I take? They took Tyreek from my homeboy and he still won two champs and won an MVP. What one player, what player, what team could I take two best receivers from? And they steal a dynamic
Starting point is 00:43:55 like that? How many other teams in the NFL are like Patrick Mahomes? He ain't number one homeboy. He's making up for the loss of tyreek because he's just that great that's the difference he's just that great now we're gonna see what josh allen is really made of i like keaton coleman but now you lost you lost stefan diggs who is a phenomenal number one so we're gonna see how good josh allen really is He lost Stephon and Gabe.
Starting point is 00:44:25 And Gabe. So now you're going to see. There's a difference. Now, you always brought up in that upper echelon of quarterbacks. Now's the time to show it. In the fall of 1986, Ronald Reagan found himself at the center of a massive scandal that looked like it might bring down his presidency. Did you make a mistake in sending arms to Tehran, sir?
Starting point is 00:46:00 No. It became known as the Iran-Contra affair. And I'm not taking any more questions in just a second. I'm going to ask... I'm Leon Nafok, co-creator of Slow Burn. In my podcast, Fiasco, Iran-Contra, you'll hear all the unbelievable details of a scandal
Starting point is 00:46:21 that captivated the nation nearly 40 years ago, but which few of us still remember today. unbelievable details of a scandal that captivated the nation nearly 40 years ago, but which few of us still remember today. The things that happened were so bizarre and insane, I can't begin to tell you. Please do. To hear the whole story, listen to Fiasco, Iran Contra on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. PFF ranked Dak the top quarterback in the NFC. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:00 Dak was number one. Matthew Stafford was two. Jalen Hurst was three. Jordan Love was four. Brock Purdy, five. Cousins, six. Jared Goff, seven. Kyler Murray, eight.
Starting point is 00:47:12 Geno Smith, nine. And Caleb Williams, ten. I like that list. Ain't no way in hell I'm putting Kirk Cousins in front of Jared Goff. And if you ask me, Ocho, I would take Jordan Love over Dak Prescott. You would take Jordan Love over Dak Prescott? Hell yeah. Listen, that's a preference.
Starting point is 00:47:33 But I like Dak being number one. I don't like Geno Smith being at nine. I don't like Geno Smith being at nine. So I would probably move Kirk Cousins. Oh, that's tough. Jared Goff belongs at, I think, oh, that's tough. Why is Brock Purdy at five? Where you going to put him at?
Starting point is 00:48:05 Because like I said, I'm not putting, if you tell me, if all those guys those guys I would probably I would probably have Matthew Stafford one okay so then if you have Matthew Stafford one and you definitely got to have that too right I'm putting Jordan I put Jordan love too okay I put Brock Purdy three I me personally
Starting point is 00:48:21 yeah this is based off what they did last season I'm assuming Me personally? Yeah. This is based off what they did last season, I'm assuming. Or going into this season. Hell no. Hey, I'm looking at the body of work. Hell, I don't watch you for four or five seasons. Right.
Starting point is 00:48:38 Okay, I see you going with it. Yeah. I see you going with it. Ooh, that's tough. I don't like gino at nine and i would take who you gonna put him in front of now i'm just saying i don't like it i don't like him at nine kirk cousins coming off achilles i would i would have jared golf is is switch switch cousins switch cousin and golf and give me gino. Give me Gino before Kirk Cousins. So, yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:09 Yeah. I mean, that's what I would do. That's what I would do. Gino had a very, very, very good year last year. Very good year. It wasn't as good as the other year. I mean, he was okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:20 But you got to realize, I thought Gino would be better based on the weapons that he got. Yeah. Yeah. He got DK. He got Locker. He got Jackson Smith and Jigba. I mean, damn. He got to set a triplets over there.
Starting point is 00:49:34 That's legit. Yeah, he got some good boys over there. All these guys got really good receiving core. If you look at Dak with CeeDee, Cook, Michael Gallup is no longer there. You look at Matthew Stafford with Puka and Cooper Cupp. You look at Jalen Hurts with Smith
Starting point is 00:49:53 and AJ. You look at Jordan Love. He got four or five. He got four or five of them. Brock Purdy, he got Brandon Ayoub, he got Kittle, and he got Debo. We don't know what's going on over there in San Fran now. Right. Well, I mean, the issue is Brandon Ayuk.
Starting point is 00:50:10 He wants a long-term deal. If I'm not mistaken, they put the franchise tag on him. You look at Jared Goff. He got some weapons. Oh, yeah. Jamison Williams. Armand St. Brown. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:50:20 What's the other? But he got Kyler. They just signed, they just got Marvin Harrison Jr. We mentioned Geno's, we mentioned Geno's triplets. Yeah. Caleb Williams got some set of triplets. He got a set,
Starting point is 00:50:32 nice set of triplets. He got DJ, he got Keenan Allen, he got Roman Dunzay, Kirk Cousins, Kyle Pitts, he got, Drake London.
Starting point is 00:50:40 Drake London. Yeah. I don't know, I don't know who's the number two. Who was the number two receiver over in Atlanta? Didn't they just sign I don't know who's the number two. Who was the number two receiver over in Atlanta? Didn't they just sign the guy from Chicago? From Chicago?
Starting point is 00:50:53 I think they signed a receiver from Chicago. Didn't they sign a receiver from Chicago? I'm almost certain they did, Ocho. I can't think of him off the top of my head. Not Mooney. Yeah, Mooney. I think they signed Mooney. Oh, right. Darn that, darn that. I can't think of him off the top of my head. Not Mooney. Yeah, Mooney. I think they signed Mooney. He over there? I think so.
Starting point is 00:51:11 Okay. Yeah. Mooney nice now. Mooney nice. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Mooney going to get jiggy with it. All these guys, Ocho, these quarterbacks in the NFC, all of them got a receiving core.
Starting point is 00:51:27 I mean, all of them. And you know, the thing is, the question is, who has the best? Because Puka Nakua and Cooper Cuppa ain't got to take a backseat to nobody. Let me see, the best? Statistically? Duo. Who got the best duo? Duo?
Starting point is 00:51:45 Yeah. You like AJ and Smitty. You like Puka and Cooper. You like Ayuk and Debo. And Debo. You like DK and Lockett. Or DK and Jackson Smith and Jigba. You like Caleb Williams.
Starting point is 00:52:02 You like him. You like DJ Moore and Keenan Allen. You like Jared Goff. You like Jamison Williams and Armigba. You like Caleb Williams. You like him. You like DJ Moore and Keenan Allen. You like Jared Goff. You like Jamison Williams. That's a good one. I'm telling you, you like CD and Brandon Cook. I mean. If I if I if I had to pick.
Starting point is 00:52:22 Oh, that's a tough one. It is. I mean, yes, absolutely. You know what? I got to go with AJ. AJ and Smitty out there. You go AJ with Smitty? AJ and Smitty?
Starting point is 00:52:31 Yeah, man. Okay. Yeah, listen. And nothing is wrong with any of the other receivers that are up there, but AJ and Smitty going to give you what you want, boy. Every week. Every week, they're going to give you what you want. I mean, so will everybody else.
Starting point is 00:52:44 Amon St. Brown is unbelievable unbelievable that trio the trio over there with joy and love boy look that's a little four by one track team over there but something about smitty and aj brown boy you you can't you can't pass that up and puka you, you know they left Baker Mayfield. Oh, Mike Evans? Mike Evans and Chris Godwin? Chris Godwin, yeah. They left those guys off. Yeah. You can't go wrong with goddamn Cooper
Starting point is 00:53:16 Cup and Puka Nakua either. Damn. Puka, hey, you gotta realize Cooper Cup won the Triple crown just two years ago he had 1900 yards that's crazy
Starting point is 00:53:30 1900 yards like 140 like 145 catches and Puka just set the rookie record with catches and yards can you imagine catching 140 some passes? I don't think, I don't think, I barely
Starting point is 00:53:50 I barely got over 90. So I'm just trying to picture myself catching 140 some passes. So that means he had to have 140, that means he had somewhere by like 190, he had to have 180 to 190 targets. They means he had somewhere by like 190. He had to have 180 to 190
Starting point is 00:54:06 targets. They throwing the ball like crazy, man. Yes. Jesus. Yes. But it's a very interesting list. A very interesting list. That's a good one. I mean, but man, Jordan Love, man, that joke showed me something last year,
Starting point is 00:54:23 Ocho. He showed me something. All season long, especially when he got to the playoffs. And he gonna, he gonna be better. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:32 He's gonna be better. Mm-hmm. Um, Jalen Hurts need to have a bounce back year. Yeah. He didn't have a good year last year, Ocho.
Starting point is 00:54:43 Yeah. I mean, I don't know, I don't know if he was hurt because remember he had that big old knee brace his knee was bothering him so he coming back healthy he coming back healthy they gonna be alright
Starting point is 00:54:55 they won't have a they won't mess up like they did last year with starting 10-1 and then don't they got Kelly Moore I think Kelly Moore is their OC now isn't he isn't Kelly Moore in Philly like they did last year with starting 10-1 and then the guy... Don't they got Kelly Moore? I think Kelly Moore is their OC now, isn't he? Isn't Kelly Moore in Philly?
Starting point is 00:55:10 Yeah, Kelly Moore, the former Cowboy OC, Chargers OC, he's now in Philly. Oh, yeah, they're going to let that thing... They're going to let that thing fly now. They're going to let that thing fly if Kelly Moore is in there.
Starting point is 00:55:21 But I think what the Eagles need to do, their identity is on offense, but defensively, well, baby, we got to come to the party and tackle, please. Oh, but they were good and terrible last year. We got to come to the party and tackle, please. Yeah, they were bad. They were bad. That playoff game, dog, that was
Starting point is 00:55:38 embarrassing, man. It looked like they weren't trying to tackle on purpose. It looked like they was doing it on purpose. They've been doing it all year. Oh, and you still got the Minnesota, because they're a rookie quarterback. Oh, Addison. But you know Addison and JJ.
Starting point is 00:55:53 Addison and Justin Jefferson. What's the tight end name? They got a nice tight end too, don't? Hawkinson. Hawkinson, yeah. TJ Hawkinson. Yeah. Well, you know, Detroit got a tight end, Laporta.
Starting point is 00:56:04 Laporta, yeah, he nice. He from Iowa. He tore his ACL, so it's going to be interesting to see. How he get back. Does he start the season on the pup list and work his way back into it? Or is he going to be good to go at the start of camp? Because I think he tore his knee up in the playoff game, I think. I hate seeing people get injured, man.
Starting point is 00:56:25 Would you rather have Dak or Love? Dak got 29% of Love. The Vote, the Love. The Vote, during Love, got 71%. Hey, Ocho, you got to admit, he impressed you. What he did on the road at Dallas. That was very impressive.
Starting point is 00:56:44 And he made one mistake in the 49ers game that ended up, you know, rolling one way and threw it back across his body and Greenlaw picked it. But he was playing great that game. Yeah, he was. He was. He was. We got 23,000 people in the chat right now. Guys, thank you for watching.

Starting point is 00:57:50 We have it on 84.com. Check this out, Ocho. Zach Orr, in his first year as defensive coordinator for the Ravens and safety, Kyle Hamilton is one of the players that he relies on to lead the unit. Hamilton was a first round pick in 2022 and he turned into his stellar second season.
Starting point is 00:58:05 He had 81 tackles, four interceptions, three sacks, 13 pass defense, forced fumble on his way to being named first-team All-Pro. Orr said, Kyle Hamilton is an ultimate chess piece. I think he's one of the top players in the league. My goal for him is to one day win Defensive Player of the Year. Well, join Ed Reed, Dale Suggs, and Ray Lewis, who did it twice. Here at one of the leagues, I think he has
Starting point is 00:58:27 that kind of talent. He has that type of work ethic, and he's that type of person. Yeah, he is. Hell, hell. Oh, yeah, for sure. Listen, I've watched him. When I think of Kyle Hamilton, even though he's had a short career, you can tell he is the centerpiece for that defense.
Starting point is 00:58:44 Yeah, for sure. You can tell. Every week, he for that defense yeah you can tell you that every week he jumps out on film every week he jumps out on film he makes a spectacular play every time you know with the ravens you remember in two well after after uh that 2000 team it was ed and ray yeah you got roquan smith yeah kyle hamilton yeah yeah and so, yeah. That's what you need. It's going to be hard, Ocho, for a defensive back to win the defensive player of the year because of those pass rushes. You got to be spectacular.
Starting point is 00:59:13 You got to be spectacular. I'm talking about picking balls off and going to the house. Especially for safety. It's only been a handful of safeties to win that award. You got, I think, like Ed Reed. Ed Reed won it. Troy won it. Troy won ed reed won it yeah uh troy won it troy won one one one yeah ronnie won it uh kenny easily won i think kenny won it like 85 ronnie won
Starting point is 00:59:34 in the 80s i can only think of like four off the top of my head now a few corners and like if you have a season like gil, you remember Gilmore had that season? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Did, uh, hold on. Did what you call a defensive player? I don't think he ever won, Revis. I don't think Revis won defensive player of the year, did he?
Starting point is 00:59:54 Wait, 2009, he had to win in 2009. If he didn't, who did? If it was a year for Revis to win defensive player of the year, it would have been that 2009 season. I don't think we were ever, ever. You could play Madden for a season. You'll never be able to have a season like Revis had that 2009 season. Unbelievable.
Starting point is 01:00:13 So I'm not sure who won defensive player of the year. Oh, yeah. Bob Sanders won. Remember Bob Sanders? Bullet Bob. What you talking about? Bob had no regulation for his body at all. He didn't care.
Starting point is 01:00:26 No, that's what broke his body. He coming downhill. Listen, Bob Sanders don't care nothing about his body. Charles Woodson wanted a green bank. Remember Don Medarius? Didn't care nothing about his body. John Lynch hit like that too.
Starting point is 01:00:45 You know, you got safeties. They come up to hit you and they gather. You know how you gather yourself, then you make contact? Right. Oh, no, they running right through you, baby. They running right through you. Huh? Charles Woodson won in 09.
Starting point is 01:01:02 What? Yeah. So he had that grade of a year? Revis never won. So Charles must have had a good year that year. I mean, I know it wasn't anything like what Revis did, but I mean, listen, Charles Wilson is always deserving, so you really, really can't take anything away from him.
Starting point is 01:01:22 Yeah, those guys, I mean, those... But now with the age of the pass rusher, guys getting 17, 18, 20 sacks. Yeah. So here are the last 10 winners. You got Miles Garrett, Nick Bosa, TJ Watt, Aaron Donald, Stephon Gilmore, Aaron Donald, Aaron Donald, Khalil Mack, J.J. Watt, J.J. Watt, Luke Keekly,
Starting point is 01:01:47 J.J. Watt, Terrell Suggs, Troy Palomaro, Charles Wilson, James Harrison, Bob Sanders, Jason Tatum, Brian Urlacher, Jason Taylor, excuse me, Tatum, Jason Taylor, Brian Urlacher, Ed Reed, Ray Lewis, Derrick Brooks,
Starting point is 01:02:03 and Michael Strahan, Ray Lewis won in 2000. Hey, but you know, Kyle Hamilton, if they use him the right way and put him in places to make plays, he can. Well, they do a great job of moving around, don't you? If he's what we think he is, like in that same type
Starting point is 01:02:19 of hybrid safety come down in the box, being able to cover tight ends, he can win that award now. He's more of a Troy Palomaro. They line him up at a different place. You see, he got sack totals. He got pass defending. He got batted balls.
Starting point is 01:02:36 He got sacks. Right. You put Ed in center field and he can't grip it, Jr. He's going to track it down. Every time. He's going to track it down. Every time. You know. He gonna track it down. Ed was so funny. Ed is one of the few safeties. You know
Starting point is 01:02:50 how normally you read your keys when the ball snap, you backpedal? Yeah. I swear for God, we play Ed sometimes. He'll start back so far like Dan Punt return and come forward. It was weird. Yeah. It was weird. Palomalo, when you
Starting point is 01:03:05 watch defense, when you watch film, you see cover four, cover three, two man, 55, cover three, whatever it may be. They would always be in a place they're not supposed to be, and then when the ball snaps, and then go where they're supposed to be.
Starting point is 01:03:22 You never know what the hell they're doing. I'm like, bro, how you in the A-gap, and you supposed to be in the hole, and he just take off running. And he end up in the hole, or he end up in the two-high shell. I'm like, bro. Listen, there are only so many safeties that are that special,
Starting point is 01:03:40 that are that special, where they can be completely out of position, but make sure they get where they need to be when the ball snaps and never miss a beat them dudes special man talk about having range like having like range sideline to sideline the volume i'm michael casson founder and ceo of 3C Ventures and your guide on good company.
