Ocho, Bobby Porter's suspended 25 games
after he mistakenly took painkiller Tramadol rather than Toradol.
Porter said in a statement, I was dealing with an elbow injury
and using an NBA approved medication
for pain and inflammation.
During that time, I made an honest mistake
and took a pain reducing anti
inflammatory pill that is not
approved. I feel terrible. I recognize
that I'm responsible for what I put in my body.
Porter took painkiller
unintentionally, said his agent.
Porter thought he was taking Toradol, which you can get it in a pill form or the injectable.
Because I know I got plenty of them shots in my butt.
He was taken.
Porter didn't realize that he was taking Tramadol, which was properly prescribed, but is on the NBA's banned substance list.
Doc Rivers said he believed the punishment
shouldn't be so severe given the circumstances.
I mean, given the circumstances,
obviously, as a player,
you got to know what you're putting in your body.
Obviously, don't you have people that you talk to
before you even get any type of prescriptions?
Or, you know, they got the resources the
you know the team could give you that yeah the team could give you that whatever it is you need
you have somebody if they if we had it when i was playing i know they i know good and well they got
it now hey go to the head trainer hey listen my elbow man is bothering me it's swelling upon me
can you get something for me can you give me something so i mean it's like it's bothering me. It's swelling up on me. Can you get something for me? Can you give me something?
So, I mean, it's like, it's kind of hard to believe.
Like, how do you not know?
How do you not know?
Because if you need anything, everything you need is right there in-house.
You ain't got to go outside for that.
Y'all, to talk about, yes, guys, when you take a Toradol,
and it's basically like it's a pain medication,
but, boy, you feel so good.
I mean, I ain't smoking a weed, and I don't know what it's like,
but you feel like, boy, you feel invincible.
Now, you feel like your ass got beat with a bat once you get done with that game.
Once it go down, yeah.
But you get an injection in your butt.
And so that's what, boy but y'all take everything.
Y'all try to make everything sexual.
I question a lot of you guys.
No, no, seriously, Ocho. A lot of these
guys, I really question them because
they so consumed with that kind of stuff.
I'm like, damn, this is the
way we talk. I mean, like I said, I don't know
what's in the locker room, Ocho. I've been removed
20 years from the locker room. So I don't know how it is.
Right, right. But when we talk like,
hey, man, hey,
you got that?
You got that shot? You got that
shot in the butt? I mean, Ocho used
to be a line.
It wasn't a one or two. It was
a line to get there. I ain't never
take the pill now, Ocho. Like I said,
I know there is a pill, but I didn't
take it. Give me that shot. I need that thing to work quick.
Yeah, I had the pill.
I had the pill.
Obviously, when I tore my labrum, I tore my labrum from 6 to 12,
but I didn't miss no time.
Put that harness on there so you couldn't raise it.
Yeah, so I couldn't raise it all the way.
So I wore the harness, and I took about maybe three weeks.
I took the toilet.
I took the pill.
Man, I wasn't playing with that needle.
Oh, no, sir. If it ain't a tattoo wasn't playing with that needle. Oh, no, sir.
If it ain't a tattoo, I'm not doing it. Oh, no, I'll give you that needle.
Because that pill,
that pill, it got to digest,
the liver got to break it down, it got to get processed.
No, baby, I need that thing
just like that roast farts.
I put it up under my tongue, and it
dissolves up under my tongue.
Count your boy in.
But it wasn't doing that. That shot, getting in that bloodstream. Count your boy in. Count your boy in. But it wasn't doing that.
That shot, that shot getting in that bloodstream, pow, pow.
Oh, yeah.
And so, look, no, Ocho.
I took shots in my butt.
I took them in my ribs.
I took them in my ankles.
I took them in my shoulders.
Oh, man, look, hey.
Hey, I had to get out there.
I had to get it.
Mary Porter had to eat.
Right.
He had to eat. So, like I to get it. Mary Porter had to eat. He had to eat.
Like I said, that's the thing
to Ocho. Like you said, they
do got. But see the thing
is, Ocho, the problem
with, we've heard it so much,
people lie. Oh, my massage
therapist rubbed me down with this cream,
and that's how that steroid got in my body.
Oh, you know what?
Somebody, my protein shake, and somebody put this in my body. Oh, you know what? Somebody, somebody, my protein shake and somebody put this in my body.
So, so now we've become so distrusted and it could have been an honest mistake, Coach O.
In actuality, it could have been an honest mistake.
Yes, sir.
But because people have lied so much and contaminated our thought process.
Nah, hell nah.
Just go, hey, 25, slap that 25 up on him.
Yeah. I mean, but
when you think about it,
I'm just saying, if there's something wrong
with you, the first place you go
to is your training room right there
in the facility.
They get you everything you want. You don't even have to
go outside. There's no point.
You have every resource
known to man right there.
It's the NBA, huh?
Get it.
This ain't high school.
This ain't your high school basketball team.
Remember, what do the pills look like?
Is it sugar in a salt situation that you don't know what it is
until you taste it?
And then by that far, it's too far down.
Now me, Ocho, when I got certain supplements, like, hey, Greek,
what you thinking? Hey, he's like, Sharpie, when I got, like, certain supplements, like, hey, Greek, what you thinking?
You know, hey, he's like, Sharpie, let me do some research.
Sharpie, it's not on the list, but if I was you, I wouldn't do it.
That's why I always, Steve Antonopoulos, we call him Greek.
And when I was in Baltimore, John Tessendorf, we call him Big Tess.
Like, hey, Tess, what you think?
Well, Sharpie, I think you're good to go.
Shoot me straight, because I i'm gonna tell you look
i went to my athletic trainer and i went to my athletic trainer and they said we're good to go
so if it's a lie you need to suspend them because i ain't going nowhere
because i remember when they started when they put dhea on that list guys were taking dhea
got popped yeah you know and they ended up
ephedra
when the guy you weren't in the league the time
when rest his soul Corey Stringer
he
oh the lineman
from the Vikings
you know guys used to take ephedra
it speeds your heart rate up
you sweat oh boy look here
you're talking about drop 7, eight pounds in a day?
Just like that.
Look at his split.
Yeah, man.
But, boy, you're talking about sweating.
Right.
Like Michael Jackson before the verdict was read.
You're sweating like that, Ocho.
You know what I'm saying, Ocho?
I'll be you.
Hey, but, no, like I said, it could have been an honest mistake but like you said with all the
resources and you got now don't even chance it guys don't don't even chance it don't even chance
it but i don't know that's what i'm saying you said man i'm scared of that needless tattoo
bro you get i like i said I don't have no tattoos.
So I don't know if it did it, but I hear did it.
Well, hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Wait, you got you got to understand.
Now I've seen what the needle look like when it's time to get that to it all.
And I've seen the needle when I'm getting this. I got 43 tattoos.
You can't see them, but I got them. Yeah, they hard to see, but I got them.
And it's a pain that is bearable to me.
It's weird.
It's weird.
I can sit there.
I can sit there for a four or five hour session,
but you're not sticking me with that Toradol needle.
That ain't happening.
Give me that needle.
Hey, I can't sit there and let you...
Now, look, obviously
you got fatty tissue in your butt,
got muscle, but think about, Ocho,
when they hit that bone in them ankles, or they go
in through your ribs, or they hit
that needle this long, and they go in
that shoulder, and they got to move it around
because they got to get as much medicine in there
and in many different areas.
Man, please.
Are you Claudia?
Yeah.
I came in to get like a refund or like what I'm doing
because my girl,
she came in earlier
and she got some $400 downloads.
And she was talking about
some Uber bullying or ostrich
and about to call the cops.
What?
I get, like she gets home
and bro, it's just some lines
at the top.
That's not,
that's not no $400.
Well, first off, I haven't done $400 nails today, so I, I just want to make that, I haven't done $400 nails today.
What's your, what's your girlfriend's name?
Her name's Stacy.
She had an 8 o'clock appointment in the morning today.
I'm going to show you hers, though, because I don't want, I don't want any drama, no BS. Cause this is something you're gonna have to figure out
with her, but her nails were only $80 today.
Look, here's her, here's her Zelle.
It was only $80.
I haven't done no $400 nails today dude.
So nobody was holding anybody hostage
or calling the police or anything like that so
you're gonna have to go figure it out with her but i haven't done no 400 nails oh i don't know
i think she likes me i'm gonna talk no she definitely lies to you oh she scammed you bro
but i'm not i'm not the scammer here it's your girlfriend so you better go figure it out. Thank you. Yep. All right. Hello. Hey, you know what? Oh,
hell.
That's his fault.
That's his fault.
Now,
listen,
listen,
as a,
as a boyfriend,
you supposed to know
how much maintenance costs
for the woman you're dealing with.
You got to have
some type of background,
some type of,
some type of knowledge
of nails,
hair,
lashes,
wigs, coloring,
you know, sew-ins. You got to know
all that stuff. So he's not
sharp and he's not detailed
in knowing what his women likes
and how much the things cost that she
needs for her upkeep.
$400? You know
better than that. You should know better than that.
Yeah, that's...
Like, I do nails. I do lashes.
You know?
No, I do eyebrows.
I thread.
You know, I do individuals. I do strips.
Like, I do my daughter's
makeup.
You hear me? So you got to
know that stuff, man. He tripping.
Like, he don't really need to have
no girlfriend.
I'm just being honest, because that's
stuff you're supposed to know.
If your girl asks you, I need $400 to get
my nails done, you're supposed to look at her,
are you okay?
Are you okay? Because you think
I don't know no better?
Man, most guys,
I mean, you take your woman, I mean,
if she tell you a certain number, you don your woman. If she
tell you a certain number, you don't believe her,
but you probably need to move on.
Yeah.
Or
what she can do is instead
of lying about it, because if she
lie about that, if she lie about something that small,
she lie about something big.
That's my point. If you don't trust her to tell you that the money
that was it cost for to get the nails nails what else you don't trust her about
you need to move on
it's really that simple
and matter of fact
what she did with the rest
of the money anyway
might have spent it
on her side dude
probably
I'm just saying
let me stop that
I don't know what she did
with it on her
I don't know
maybe she went and got
maybe she went and got
her makeup done
maybe she went and got
you know got another service provided for with that extra money.
I don't know.
If you tell me, Shannon, I need X amount of dollars for my hair,
hey, Shannon, I need this and this.
Okay, I'm going to give it to you.
Man, look here.
If every time you ask me for something and if I got to worry about it,
if I'm giving it to you and you doing what you say,
that ain't got nothing to do with me.
Right.
I can't worry.
I ain't going to lie to you.
I can't even worry about it.
Yeah, I understand what you mean, Unc.
But just the fact that I'm well versed and I have expertise in all those areas
when it comes to the upkeep and understanding the prices and how they range, know varied on what it is you're trying to get yeah that ain't gonna work
you ain't gonna pull you ain't gonna pull the wool over my ass i know what everything costs
everything from high end to low end so how you want to play the game
yeah and matter of fact you really can't get no money out of me anyway
because half your upkeep, I know how to
do it anyway.
I don't care. I don't care if a woman does
know how to do my upkeep. She ain't cutting no hair.
Hey, you want her.
Hey, I remember
I need my lashes done.
Well, come on over here and lay down. What you want?
Hybrid? Classic? Mega volume? What you need? Come on, come on over here and lay down. What you want? Hybrid? Classic?
Mega volume?
What you need?
Come on, come on, lay down.
What you want, strips?
If you in a hurry, I give you some strips real quick.
Hell, I give you individuals.
Play with me if you want to.
Talk about I need $300.
Man, get out my face.
No, I mean, that's how I am.
Look, I ain't got time. You say, hey, I need X amount for my hair.
I need X amount for this.
Okay, I need X amount to get my car fixed.
Okay, fine.
I'm going to take your word for it.
Just be careful now.
Yeah.
Because once you break my trust, I'm out.
Oh, yeah, it's a wrap, boy.
It's a wrap. And a wrap and matter of fact
you know what I'm going to leave it alone
where at
I'm going to leave it alone
I ain't going to say it
yeah I'm going to leave it alone
yeah it's
it is what it is man
like I said
sometimes I don't know
sometimes people
take it take advantage of your kindness or your generosity uh whatever the case may be and
you know it is what it is Ocho yeah man yeah um it's a situation where you know you're like damn just be honest
if the nails cost
400 they cost 400 if they cost 200
they cost 200 if they cost 100
they cost 100 I'm thinking Ocho
it's hard for me to see a scenario
because hell I get my nails done once a week
and I you know it's at least
110 I mean sometimes it's
like I mean some places it's
give or take when I go to Atlanta it's like, I mean, some places it's give or take. When I go to Atlanta, it's 140.
The lady I did, Tasha.
Hey, Tasha, I know you're watching.
Hers was 165.
Lady here in Vegas, they 110.
It is what it is.
Right.
So it's hard for me to see a scenario that especially women get
what they call them, gels?
Acrylics?
It's hard for me
to see a scenario where they're not going to be
at least
150? How much gel nail
cost, Chad?
You about right.
You're right up there.
It can get a little bit more expensive when you start adding you about right you right up there so I'm assuming
it can get a little bit more expensive
when you add the designs
now you're talking
yeah
I got a
friend of mine she does nails
I should have hit her up
if I knew we was just going to be talking
ask how much she charge
she probably be trying to break people out
she probably be charging $200, $300.
Because, you know, she's
like an artist, so she can draw
stuff on the nails and stuff like that. And I get that.
So, you know, you taking that kind of
time, I get it.
Somebody said $195.
$1,500 for what?
Ain't no
nails cost no $1,500. Y'all, if y'all man get y'all $1,500 for what? Ain't no deal that costs no $1,500.
Y'all, if y'all may have to give y'all $1,500.

In the fall of 1986, Ronald Reagan found himself at the center of a massive scandal
that looked like it might bring down his presidency.
Did you make a mistake in sending arms to Tehran, sir?
No.
It became known as the Iran-Contra affair.
And I'm not taking any more questions in just a second.
I'm going to ask Attorney General...
I'm Leon Nafok, co-creator of Slow Burn.
In my podcast, Fiasco, Iran Contra,
you'll hear all the unbelievable details of a scandal
that captivated the nation nearly 40 years ago,
but which few of us still remember today.
The things that happened were so bizarre and insane,
I can't begin to tell you.
Please do.
To hear the whole story,

You ever had your hair straight like that, Ocho?
No, I had dreads.
I had dreads, and they were locked up
so I could never take it out
and have my hair permed or have my hair
straight like that.
Ocho, your hair won't grow.
Your hair will just like mine Ocho, your hair won't grow. Your hair,
just like mine, low your whole
life. Now you bald.
I can grow a hair full of hair.
No, you can't.
I've showed that countless times.
I have a full hairline.
Everybody 15 years ago had hair.
I'm talking about just...
Okay, let's... Do you want me to grow
my hair out?
No.
I'm just saying. The only reason I
cut my hair consistently and I've been doing it
for so long is I don't like
the maintenance that comes with having hair.
I don't want to put grease on
my scalp. I don't want to
train my hair to lay down.
I don't want waves.
It's like a whole tedious process and i got sick of it when i'm ready to go i want to get out the shower and i want to dry my head and walk out the house i don't sound like a man that's like
a man that said i want to be broke man you think i won't have money in my pocket and in my bank
account it's just too hard to keep up with
I understand what you're saying but listen
that's apples and oranges them two different scenarios
no Ocho you can't grow hair
and if you grow it
it's minimal
I got a full set of hair right now
look at my hairline
you see my hairline coming in
you see my hairline coming in
no no you gotta go a little further back you started at 50 yards don't do that You see my hairline coming in? You see my hairline coming in? And listen.
No, no.
You got to go a little further back.
You started at 50 yards. Don't do that.
Don't do that.
Don't do that.
My hairline.
Started at 50.
Listen, my hair.
Matter of fact, I'm going to get a shave up just for you.
What?
Shave what up?
I'm going to let my hair grow and I'm going to get a shave up.
So I can show you I can grow a full set of hair.
And I got good hair and I got
good hair
I got good hair
what is that
huh
what is that
I just showed you
Ocho you pointed back
here bro you pointed back there
my hairline is right there.
It's right there.
You're looking right at it.
It's right there.
Ocho.
Look at my forehead.
Ocho, from your hairline to your forehead, that's at least a $20 Uber ride.
Listen, my head too small, so I know that's not true
But I'm just saying
My hairline is intact
I think
I don't
Ocho
You see how shiny that is
Ocho
Hair won't grow there
What do you mean how shiny
That's the light
That's the light
That's the light shining on my forehead
That's from my skin care routine
That's why
That's why I look like this
That's why I look like this That That's why I look like this.
That's why the ladies love me.
It's this.
The chocolate.
You're chocolate now.
They like that.
You get no debate.
Hey, no debate for me.
Hey, I swallow
this one.
Another mother choose to help you God.
I do. One thing about it. When tell the whole truth, another mother choose to help you, God. I do.
Yeah, one thing about it.
One thing, when it comes to chocolate,
one thing about women,
they ain't got no problem getting cavities.
You hear me?
Oh, Lord have mercy.
Talk to me now.
Lord have mercy, Josh.
Jesus.
What's wrong?
What happened?
You may hear. I'm just telling you? I'm just telling you
I'm just telling you
I'm not telling you what I heard
I'm telling you what I know
All I know is this
If you'd have been my age in the 80's
You'd have got no place
Because black wasn't in
They like Lasky, they like L to barge
Chico to barge
It don't matter what they like.
There's something I had that nobody else didn't.
And I still got it.
Huh?
It's called.
It wasn't until Michael Jordan.
Michael Jordan came in.
Wesley Snipes came in.
That's what put us on the map.
I've been on top of the charts since they came in.
So about mid 80s, like, like 80, Mike came in
in 84. So like 80,
my senior year, been top of the chart.
That ain't it.
40. 40 years I've been on top of the chart.
I had a special gift.
I had a special gift.
Al B. Shore.
That's a good one.
Chico DeBarge.
El DeBarge.
Them boys were nice now
but listen if i was if i was there during a time when the light-skinned dudes was in there was
something i had that they didn't i don't care about you making no music i don't care about
you singing to the women you hear me because i had to give a gab it was all about wordplay
huh huh no they wouldn't let you talk to them. Oh, they gonna
talk to this.
They gonna tell you.
The brother and dark skin brother, we ain't getting no play on you.
They gonna talk to Sugar, you hear me?
I'm telling you.
Hey, I'm gonna make you laugh.
I'm gonna laugh right out the draw.
Huh?
Hey.
Hey.
Boy, you ain't getting no play on
Joe
just like polyester
you can make a comeback
but uh
Chico and Al DeBart
now you got me thinking about the music
they made man music was
that's some good music
the music from the 80s. Music was different by the name. That's some good music, huh?
The music from the 80s, it was different. 80s and early...
Oh, my God.
But see,
I don't remember
hearing nothing about no garden tools.
It wasn't no 304s.
They ain't saying about that.
They sang about women. They sang about
ladies. They talking about love
now
now they're talking about
jumping up and down
and you need to
lock out those fools
you know
man I just
she
oh man that's crazy
they just don't make
they just don't make it
they don't
they don't make music
like they used to Ocho
and everybody I talk to
Ocho
they said
you know R&B ain't dead but bro they don't make music like they used to, Ocho. And everybody I talk to, Ocho, they said, you know, R&B ain't dead.
But, bro, they don't sing like they used to sing.
They don't beg.
Hold on.
They don't beg.
They don't beg.
I guess because, see, the women used to make you beg to get up out of it.
Hey, what song?
Now they begging you to get up.
Now they begging you. What song? Well, they begging you to get up. Nah, they begging you.
What song is it?
Well, they ain't begging me.
What song was it?
Huh?
I give you my credit card,
my keys in my house.
I can't think of...
I gave you my son,
the rain.
Yeah.
Who was that saying,
I'll pay your rent,
I'll buy your clothes?
Yeah, I know you're
talking about, yeah.
That was back in the...
I'll tell you,
that was back in the day. Now, see, if I'd have sung that song, if I played that song for somebody, they'd know you lying, about yeah that was back in the that was back in the day now see
if I'd have sung that song if I played that song for somebody
they'd know you lying this channel you broke we see where you
live at
hey chat what song is that chat
uh
oh
no what song is that
he was
baby face where it was the number one baby. Oh, what song is that? He was. About to be Babyface.
After 7,
Take 6,
all of them.
They were the days,
though, Chokes.
They were the days.
I don't know.
They print money in L.A.
It was the Dodgers.
They got Mookie hell
and just
and just
in two salaries
they got a billion dollars
Brady Freeman
Mookie
hey I got a question
I got a question
listen I don't
I don't want to sign
ignorant
I honestly I don't
we don't let money come in front of me we don't let money come in because. I honestly, I don't. Where all that money coming from, man?
Where all that money coming from?
Because when I watch games, the games don't never,
the stands don't never be full.
I'm not talking about the Dodgers.
Oh, they do with the Dodgers.
The Dodgers, the Dodgers every year have the most fans.
They have every year.
Boy, look here.
You ain't never been to Charmaine's with me.
Boy, you talk about a...
Yeah.
I wasn't specifically talking about the dollars. I'm just saying in general,
baseball games...
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't know.
I mean, they got two
$700 million players.
Two!
And they got
what you call them making $40 plus million.
They got making $ 40 a year.
Aaron Judge, he got nine years, 360.
Oh, they got, I don't know.
I don't know what they did.
Tell me so we both know.
Cause if they got a money tree, I'm gonna go chop it down.
Man, I'm telling you, man.
Listen, I was a highly sold out prospect coming out of high school, man.
I was a five-tooler.
And every time I look at them deals sometime, I always say, you know what?
I should have stuck with baseball.
I don't know if your tool was a lawnmower, a bag hold, a rake, a pick, a shovel.
I don't know what your tools were, but they damn sure wouldn't apply to baseball.
I'm talking about baseball.
Miami Beach Senior High.
Man, look me up.
Google me.
You can Google me.
You can Google.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Pitcher.
I was a slugger.
Played first, second, third, and outfield.
I did everything.
Yeah, you did.
I tell you no lie.
You know, the Marlins were trying to draft me out of high school
right before they won the world series in 1997
they did huh
but my grandma said no
my grandma ain't play that
well you need to focus on school
a woman tweeted
men get cheated on all the time in state
they just smart enough not to be telling anybody
I keep telling y'all this are women more allowed about being cheated on all the time and stay. They're just smart enough not to be telling anybody. I keep telling y'all this.
Are women more allowed
about being cheated on by men?
Most definitely. All the time.
All the time. It
happens all the time and most of the time
most men do stay and sometimes
some of the men that do stay
it is simply because
sometimes shelter. I don't have
anywhere else to go.
Sometimes, you know, listen, she is.
I'm not saying she's the breadwinner, but you're in a position where you're moving with her.
You're staying with her.
It's her place.
So, hell, if she does step out, you ain't got nowhere to go.
Sometimes you try to work things out.
And then you got some dudes that non-negotiable.
And he out.
But see, if you date privately, you can do this.
Because see, everybody ain't going to be in your, if you public, everybody in your business.
Because they're going to know.
So you see, the knight have a thousand eyes.
Or most knights have a thousand and two because somebody sees you.
I like that.
I like that.
So, with that. So,
with that being said,
you're right.
Some men,
that's a non-negotiable because,
hey,
that's,
all right,
that's my package.
I'm the only one that opens that.
And the thing is about,
now,
it used to be this way.
It's not this way in the middle.
Women have adopted a mindset
like a man.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
They figure anything.
Yeah, oh, they have.
They have.
Big time.
Big time. Oh, he doing it? They figure anything that a man can do. Oh, They figure anything. Yeah. Oh, they have, they have big time, big time.
Oh,
I could do it too.
Oh,
tip for that.
Oh,
that's what you.
Okay.
Bad.
And then,
you know,
Ocho,
here's the thing.
This is what gets you.
You know what she does.
You,
you know what she does for you.
And the phone.
Hey,
I'm sorry.
Don't throw up.
Don't throw up.
Don't throw up.
Remember, remember at one time,
what did I just tell you on the previous show
about being number one and being number two?
You've been.
Yeah, but hold off on some of that.
Don't give it.
You've been in that number two position.
Yeah, I've been in the pole position.
You know what time it is.
Hey, I've been the pace car, and I've also been the chase car.
I like that.
I've been pacing.
Yeah.
Hey, yeah.
And I've also tried to pull the swing shot move and do it.
He block it.
Hey,
hit that turn.
I bumped her.
Hey,
I bumped drafted.
Move on out the way.
I pull up in it.
Remember Grace Jones had a song.
They pull up to my bumper,
baby.
Hey,
it's a dirty game.
And a long black limousine.
It's a dirty game.
Yeah. So now, because women have adopted the mentality,
I shouldn't say all, but there was a situation.
You didn't find these women now?
Oh, they don't play?
They don't play.
They do not play.
And then tear you.
Yeah.
I did.
I see clips like that all the time. They do not play. And then tell you. Yeah. I did. And well, yeah.
I see clips like that all the time.
Oh, you slept with such and such?
And did.
Oh.
Hey.
Hey, that thing, hey.
Like, hey, man, look here. That's like, hey, man, look here.
That's why Ocho, man, look.
When you're young, you don't really know any better.
But as you start to get older, I don't play.
Hey, you got a man.
I'm good.
Don't worry.
You let me worry about him.
No, no, no.
It's different.
Your man might be doing something else,
but if Shannon sharp,
he found out Shannon sharp.
Oh no,
no,
it ain't. It's not that serious.
I'm sure I can find someone,
but my,
my grandfather used to say,
boy,
everybody has somebody.
It's just to what extent man or woman,
everybody has somebody. What is the to what extent. Man or woman. Everybody has somebody.
What is the extent?
Is that their wife?
That's their husband.
That's their significant other.
That's their girl.
Whatever the case may be.
Defying somebody, I'm talking about just stop ass free.
No such thing.
It's hard.
No such thing.
It's hard.
Women play a dangerous game, huh?
With that stepping out?
You never know.
You know how dudes feel about their women?
Yeah.
They feel about their women, man.
Girlfriends,
wives, or even somebody
that I'm investing my time
in.
And then people get, oh,
man, why you won't go to
No, bro.
I done got two strikes.
I got two strikes, Ocho.
And baseball, hey, I'm still
at the plate, but I ain't gonna get
no another strike.
You never catch me slipping again.
Bro, man, people don't
play by that.
So why would I even put myself back in that situation again and be how about i mean that's when you most vulnerable
ocho you sleep i would stop me from that's what stopped me from sleeping naked god i don't want
nobody to get to drop it man i can't tussle with nobody naked ocho yeah come let me put some clothes
on please let me put oh yo i can't wallow with nobody naked.
Hey, bro, let me put my shorts on.
Right, right, right.
But you already know, Ocho,
somebody come up and on.
I'm a shooter, bro, the size.
Ain't nobody trying to bump.
So just keep yourself out of that situation, bro.
That ain't even worth it.
She got somebody.
She tell you she got somebody.
Hey, what do you
got to do with me? That's between you and him.
Yeah, but when he find out, that's between
both of y'all. Well, hey, listen,
one thing about it,
when you do find out, I wish
fellas understand, you know,
we continue to be in relationships
or
unions with an individual
that we think they're one way you know especially
publicly and you you hope they respect you you know privately and when you find out do you see
signs all you have to do is pay attention to the signs huh hear me it's really easy when you've
been the other guy for long enough you understand what it looks like so you pay attention to the
signs and when things don't look right and your antenna's up,
you already know what time it is.
You know what time it is.
If all of a sudden she didn't like to work out
and all of a sudden she's working out,
she's working out for somebody else to see her naked.
Hey, it's easy.
Do what you want to do with it.
Now, y'all could, oh man, I'm telling you.
Hey.
Hey, what I tell you all the time,
manage your expectations.
Once you're able to manage them,
it's easy
to see
whoever it is
for who they are in general.
Okay,
that's what you want.
Okay,
bet.
You're going back,
going back to business.
Yeah.
So,
the game is the game.
Yeah, it is what it is
I mean but hey I don't know people
I know people that have hurt people
about a woman and I know
people that have been hurt
I done heard many stories
I done heard
many stories
I ain't correct
what they call it these days, like
crashing out? Oh yeah, crashing
out, yeah.
I'm not crashing out
about Nathaniel.
Zero.
No, no, no, hell no.
No, no, no, no, no, no, I can't do that.
Zero.
Like the kids say,
ball up top.
Who's next the fuck oh my god
dog it I've been doing good
goals in a row I'm sorry
hey
what the hell don't tell me
I think people understand
is that like for me it's just like it's just not
worth it I stand way more
to lose the game.
Say it again real quick for the people.
I stand way more to lose the game.
There we go.
Long as we're on the same page.
Nah, bro.
Yeah, for sure.
I'm like, oh, nah, I'm good.
Hey, and then quick to holler, oh, he doing his thing.
Okay, that ain't got nothing to do with me.
Let him do his thing and you find somebody else to do your thing. Okay, that ain't got nothing to do with me. Let him do his thing, and you find somebody else
to do your thing with. But it ain't going to be me.
It ain't.
I ain't
I don't got too old
to fight.
If it's yourself, I ain't got
no business fighting. I'm about to be a grandpa
for the second time.
Congrats.
Yeah, but hey, I'm going to see my grandkids.
I'm going to have about five or six of them.
Hey, I got two daughters.
Hopefully they get married soon and start a family.
But hey, nah, man, I can't do that.
I can't even.
It ain't even worth it.

A lot of times the big economic forces we hear about on the news show up in our lives in small ways.
Three or four days a week, I would buy two cups of banana pudding,
but the price has gone up, so now I only buy one.
The demand curve in action, and that's just one of the things we'll be covering on
Everybody's Business from Bloomberg Businessweek.
I'm Max Chavkin.
And I'm Stacey Vanek-Smith.
Every Friday, we will be diving into the biggest stories in business, taking a look at what's going on, why it matters, and consumer spending expert Amanda Mull will take you inside the boardrooms, the backrooms, even the signal chats that
make our economy tick.
Hey, I want to learn about VeChain.
I want to buy some blockchain or whatever it is that they're doing.
So listen to Everybody's Business on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your

I'm Michael Kassin, founder and CEO of 3C Ventures and your guide on Good Company,
the podcast where I sit down with the boldest innovators shaping what's next.
In this episode, I'm joined by Anjali Sood, CEO of Tubi, for a conversation that's anything
but ordinary. We dive into the competitive world of streaming, how she's turning so-called niche into mainstream gold,
connecting audiences with stories that truly make them feel seen. What others dismiss as niche,
we embrace as core. It's this idea that there are so many stories out there, and if you can find a
way to curate and help the right person discover the right content, the term that we always hear from our audience
is that they feel seen.
Get a front row seat to where media, marketing,
technology, entertainment, and sports collide.
And hear how leaders like Anjali are carving out space
and shaking things up a bit in the most crowded of markets.

In the fall of 1986,
Ronald Reagan found himself at the center of a massive scandal
that looked like it might bring down his presidency.
Did you make a mistake in sending arms to Tehran, sir?
No.
It became known as the Iran-Contra affair.
And I'm not taking any more questions in just a second.
I'm going to ask Attorney General.
I'm Leon Nafok, co-creator of Slow Burn.
In my podcast, Fiasco, Iran-Contra, you'll hear all the unbelievable details of a scandal
that captivated the nation nearly 40 years ago, but which few of us still remember today.
The things that happened were so bizarre and insane, I can't begin to tell you.
Please do. Let me ask you a question. How many times do you see Jordan give an interview without a suit on?
Okay, now that's different.
Now, off the court, he was straight bitten.
Ocho, that's what I'm talking about.
Your game, you can't even be the face of the NBA if your game doesn't speak on the court.
We're talking about off the court.
And see, I caught a lot of flack when I said they kind of want the guy to be a little bit more subtle okay okay jordan married kobe married braun married steph married everybody
oh oh oh he just go look at it you're correct you're correct you you are correct you are
correct you you are correct in that sense but for me you know how i am you know i i'm i like
the entertainment value i like the entertainment value i like the exciting
side i like the person and the people that are going to put butts in the seat i like a john
moran being the face of the league they would never let that happen i like anthony edwards
being the face of the league they would never let that happen you you get what i'm saying
i like i like i like the alan irison of the world to be the face of the league.
But it would never happen.
Not with him corn rolling in a big bag.
Would he buy it on 5X t-shirts?
I'm just saying.
I'm thinking about my way of playing the game of football.
I could never be the face of anything.
Ever.
Because of the way my style in which I played
I was the exact same way off the field
hell I'm still the same way now
so I stay in my lane
and I do what works for me
because I do it extremely
well
you look at the quarterback
oh but there's one quarterback
that has refused to change
and has remained his authentic self
he down there in Baltimore
he went number 8
he from Pompano
ain't changed one bit
right
who's facing the league
right now
Mahone
15
yeah
okay
and before
and before he
and before he left
who was that number 12 12 and then man yeah
it's it's it's see it's all about an image whether you live that life or not what do people
because here's the thing you remember tiger tiger was the face of golf he got married he had a
family he was wholesome it was was the all-American dream.
Why did people get upset?
Because that's not really who he was.
I'm so glad you just said that because I was just
ready to go there when we talk about Peyton Manning.
When we talk about Tom Brady.
And I talked to Tom when I was in New England.
After seeing him
interact and see how he is, when the
cameras are rolling
and I ask him,
are you truly happy not being able
to be exactly who you authentically are?
How are you? How?
You have to mask it for all these
years. This ain't even you.
Peyton Manning. I've
seen Peyton, the real Peyton Manning
at the Pro Bowl.
It didn't happen to him talking in the interview.
Dude,
his offense.
That ain't true.
But the thing is, Ocho,
is that they've done it for so long
because your quarterback
is like, when you're one of those guys, they've been quarterback
all their life. And so they
get to understand, you got to be
positive in all situations.
When you,
when somebody plays bad,
you take the blame.
I need to do better
of putting my guys
in position to make plays.
They say,
they get so,
and so it's,
like you said,
it's robotic.
It's methodical.
You're like, man,
why are we,
I understand why we got
to interview the quarterback,
but he ain't gonna
ever give you nothing.
Ever.
So what are we doing here?
Hey, 15 over there in Kansas City.
The same way.
It's like they went to training.
It's like they went to training for this.
Give me something different.
Matter of fact, we just talked about this the other night.
I mean, you got on me.
You got on me about people telling the truth.
Remember?
Yeah.
They just can't.
And I don't like that.
I don't like it.
I mean, it's just the way it's the nature
of the business is the way it will always be.
And look at the quarterbacks.
What is that? What is that getting
married? Jalen Hurst? What is he getting
married? Josh Allen? What is
he getting married?
Oh, you think it's a coincidence? No, not at all.
Okay.
Long as we hear we he getting married? Oh, you think it's a coincidence? No, not at all. Okay, then. Okay.
Long as we're here,
long as we're here, we... Well, listen, it's a funny thing about it,
too. As they are finding wives,
you know, because in the Bible, it says
when a man finds a good...
When a man finds a wife, he's finding
a good thing. You notice how things
after they get married, things continue to elevate?
Things continue to go great?
Things continue to... So guess
who else is going to get married?
Oh, joke.
Huh?
Yeah. Oh, hey.
Guess what? Oh, shit, too. I'm coming in out the way,
too. I'm about to get married, though.
Come on, man. You know what they say?
You know what they say now? When one out of the group
get married,
it causes a trickle effect and everybody start walking down the aisle.
I'm going to jump the broom.
Wait, what?
I'm going to jump the broom.
You ain't going to have no ceremony?
Hell, if I get married,
if that's the wrong one,
I jump that cross, we divorce.
Uh... yeah you gotta come in on that you gotta come in on that rattle joke
hey
hey
hey
hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey Yeah. Hey, I was just saying, if it's the wrong one,
you're going to jump right across the room?
I jump right across the room, jump right across
and we divorce.
Hey, all that money.
And another thing I want you to say,
the bigger diamond
that you buy, the more likely
it is to get you get divorced.
That's what
studies show. I was going to ask you get divorced. That's what studies show.
I was going to ask you where that came from.
Is that real?
Yes. Hey, because if you think
about our grandparents, they had no diamonds.
They had a gold band. Everybody had a band
back then. Yeah.
My grandma had a gold band.
Grandma Charlie had a gold band.
Granite had a gold band.
I guess these diamonds
came along in the 50s or 60s
or something. I don't know.
My grandma got married in the
40s.
Yeah, I think
Granny got married in like 42,
43. Grandma Charlie
got married in like 39,
38, something
like that.
But I get it.
I get it.
You know, you like any women like I won't be, you know, I won't at least six cats.
I want at least 10 carrots.
I want this.
I mean, what kind of carrots?
You talk about the kind of bugs bunny.
Must be.
Hey,
because,
hey,
the prices on diamonds are coming down.
The beers,
you see,
they got these lab-grown diamonds
and it's really,
really hard to tell.
And so everybody
started flocking to that.
But Ocho,
I look,
at some point in time,
Ocho,
you know,
I got to come in
and I just rain,
Ocho.
You got to come in.
See,
see,
now you start to listen to me,
now.
You hear me?
You start to listen to me, now. me? You start to listen to me.
Now, I know you got your team of people.
They keep everything together for you.
You hear me?
You know, you got a good squad over there.
You know, you got this one.
You got things running, you know, consistently in a good way.
But when you find a woman and she lay her hands on you,

If we ain't found nobody in our 20s, we ain't found nobody in our 30s.
You know, you ain't found nobody in your 40s.

If you pay attention
I got one quote
that will be signed
anytime you see me moving and acting different
and out of character
oh we saw it
well it's your fault
it's your fault
it's your fault
because I'd never do things like this were able to happen if I wasn't catching the football and scoring touchdowns.
Huh?
When they tell you God is good, boy, you ain't been nothing but a blessing.
You hear me?
I'm going to be the first one to thank you.
They're talking about Jesus got this wheel.
Shit, I don't got the wheel.
Nah, it we just,
it's,
man,

like,
oh man,

you know,
you and I had a conversation
offline.

Joe,

They got,
they got,
hey,
listen,
they coming.
They gotta come see us.
You saw the movie
Feel of Dreams,
right?
You know what they said
in the movie?
In the movie,
they said,
build it.
If you build it,
they will come now for us
people have to also understand when it comes to us state say look look look use your eyes now
when it comes to us things come a little bit more difficult and we got to work a little harder
to get we want to go well we we just we keep doing what we do it they a little harder to get where we want to go. We keep doing what we do
and they're going to have to come see us
because they see our fan base.
Look, we're going to have
doubters, mays, haters,
whatever you want to call them.
But all I know is that
25,000, 50,000,
80,000, 90,000
they watch, they listen,
and they like our content.
A lot of times people quote,
come back and they quote our content.
So advertisers,
sponsors see that.
Trust me.
I'm sitting in the meetings with them.
I'm talking to them.
I know what they're saying.
So all that other stuff that people be talking about,
oh,
they ain't talking about nothing.
Who ain't talking about nothing?
Who ain't?
Boy, you better tune in for two hours, especially on a night like
tonight where I'm feeling good. You can tell I'm feeling good
because I'm talking real goddamn fast. And I ain't
even cursed. I ain't even cursing tonight.
I'm feeling good. Why I'm feeling good?
Because I took me a nap. I slept for two,
I slept for three, four hours a day.
