Starting point is 00:00:58 Here's something that should not be as complicated as it is, getting a racist statue removed. And here's something that should be a whole lot easier than it is, getting a new one put up in its place. I'm Akela Hughes, and Rebel Spirit Season 2 is about both of those things. As I was watching these statues come down, I was thinking about what it meant that I grew up in a majority black city, in which there were more homages to enslavers than there were to enslave people. Starting point is 00:06:53 Head over to Loportecaquette.com. is currently unavailable in the city of state near you. It is a premium VSOP cognate. The smoothest, best-tasting V-E-S-O-P cognac. On the market, drinks like an ex-o. Super smooth. Trust me. I've had a couple of waters myself.
Starting point is 00:07:12 You can compare it to these other cognates all you want to, the best-tasting cognac on the market. Y'all know. Pared up with a nice cigar or even some Zah. The choice is yours. fellas. Hey, Joe, you seem kind of, hey, hey, hey, oh, but Joe's kind of sad, huh? You see it kind of sad tonight, Ocho?
Starting point is 00:07:35 Hey, hey, hey, you feel it kind of sad. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, okay, I feel a little sad, huh, Joe? Huh? Hold on, hold on, hold on, let me flip my, let me flip my. Well, God damn, Dwayne Wayne. Hey, what sitcom is that off of Ocho? A different world. Okay, okay.
Starting point is 00:07:51 I just make sure you, I just make sure. I just call you Dwayne Wayne. I know, I'm just making sure you, I'm just making sure you know what's going on. You know what's going on? He's locked in. Hey, oh, hey, hey, I'm definitely locked in. Here he go. Go ahead, get out of your chest home, boy.
Starting point is 00:08:07 Hey, hey, Uncle Joe, listen, I told y'all, listen, this isn't just about this series. This is about since the end of the end of you. The NBA playoff started. All y'all told me, when it was March Madness, oh, I'm picking mascots. I beat y'all in that. It came to the NBA playoffs. NBA playoffs started, I told you exactly who I'm going to win, each series, all the way to ever to the finals.
Starting point is 00:08:31 At some point, both of y'all, I don't want to hear you say basket or ball, no more. I don't want to hear nothing about how good y'all know and how good your knowledge of basketball is because I put both of y'all to shame. The entire of this series. You hear me? I told you what the Spurs are going to do. Both of y'all had the Thunder winning. Matter of fact, oh, no, don't worry about it.
Starting point is 00:08:53 It's going to Game 7. They plan on OKC. OKC going to win, you know, home court advantage, all that jibba-jabble. Man, nonsense. Huh? You're right, Ocho, you had it. But I think everybody, we all had it to go seven.
Starting point is 00:09:07 You took the Spurs. Joe and I took the Thunder. But it was Victor Wimbingyama, Victor Wimbingyama, and Champini. And those guys came to play tonight. 111 to 103. They are the Western Conference champs.
Starting point is 00:09:22 Wemby will be the Magic Johnson Award. They're getting the celebration going now. But we went ahead and got started. And they played a well-of-a-ball game. Everybody played unbelievable. You see what they did? The bench came in. Kelton Johnson was huge tonight.
Starting point is 00:09:38 Dylan Harper did Dylan Harper things. He did a great job of taking care of the basketball. Carter Bryant. He only played three minutes, but he came in there with a big time. And finished at the rim, but it was champagne with those threes in the fourth quarter. He cut third and fourth. And then Deerrin Fox is still quick as a cat of a cell. Stefan Castle, those guys, they dug deep.
Starting point is 00:10:02 And Joe, I tweeted, Shay's legs are gone. Because if you notice, Joe, he didn't get that rest to start the second quarter. They knew the very first five minutes of that second quarter was going to be very important. He played 43 minutes. And I tweeted, I say, you know what? He's going to be looking to draw contact. Them legs gone. So look, what are he going to do, Joe?
Starting point is 00:10:22 Yeah, yeah. And try to jump into somebody. Yeah. Just hold down. Look at the last shots that he took. Yeah. Way, way off. But I always felt the key to the series, Joe.
Starting point is 00:10:33 And Joe, we're going to turn it over to you. I said if Wimby outplays both of their bigs, they can't win this series. The last two games, he's did a number on him. I don't know what, Chad took two shots, Joe. I would get rid of ask you that. He took two shots.
Starting point is 00:10:52 I don't know what he thought he was going to do with him. I guess he thought there were like seven-point shots. Hey, he was nervous. He was scared. The moment was too much for him, Joe. Yeah. We've been talking about this the entirety of the playoffs and why Shet is...
Starting point is 00:11:04 Wimby was too much for him. Yeah. The play of the night, this is the best defensive play in Spurs' history. Luke Cornett's block on Hartnstein on a breakaway because that crowd was about to erupt
Starting point is 00:11:19 and they was about to be down too but guess what happened he blocks it they go back the other way and if I'm not mistaken they go up seven that was the play of the game that's the block that is the block of the Spurs and look Tim Duncan has had some great ones
Starting point is 00:11:35 so is the Admiral but there's never been a block in Spurs history that's going to be comparable for that one They're going to be talking about this for years and years to come. Joe, how did a team, the youngest team in the NBA, go on the road, be the two-time MVP, a defending finals champ, how did they go on the road in a game seven and get it done?
Starting point is 00:11:59 Fellas, San Antonio has always believed they were a better team. There's no, I'm talking about even before this series started, I feel like San Antonio felt they was better than OKC. and they came out and proved it in this series, especially in this game seven. I thought Shay came ready to play Uncle Ocho. You know, he got off to a great start. He was attacking.
Starting point is 00:12:21 He was making them tough tools. He was getting to his midi. You know, he's virtually getting what he won't. This probably was his best game statistically, you know, probably since game two. But the other guys outside of Kaysen Wallace in that fourth quarter who kept him in arms reach, Man, the starting five was nonexistent.
Starting point is 00:12:43 Lou Dort, Chek Holmbridge, Hardinstein. He played hard. He was physical. He your muscle. You know, he did what he could to slow wimby down. But, bro, if you can't get no scoring out of these dudes, how in the hell you think you're going to be San Antonio? But I think what we have to do is I have to give San Antonio a lot of credit
Starting point is 00:13:02 because they're a hell of a defensive team. And they were able to keep all those guys at bay. I thought OKC bench came in. gave him great minutes, Caruso, McCain, Big Jalen Williams. I thought they all came in and competed. Yeah, but San Antonio, when you got all these guys hitting on all cylinders shooting at a high field goal percentage, bro, they were just in tune. They were in sync.
Starting point is 00:13:27 They understood the message. They knew they had to come into OKC and get one to make it to the finals. It was a hell of a performance by the Spurs. I give them that, bro. They showed me something that I didn't think, you know, I didn't think they was going to win this game. thought okayc guys will play a lot better it was just it's just unfortunate like you say uh shay was so tired down the stretch bro you see when he shot that three it was an air boss
Starting point is 00:13:51 oh yeah wasn't you close in the one before that one yeah wasn't much better hey joe we don't need you to think no more joe we need you to listen to me huh we're now on anytime we do basketball segments especially doing this this spurs and nick series y'all listen to me unc i need you to listen to me what you got Listen, I'm not going to stay your wrong. I'm not the one Jesus got the wheel, but I'm in the passenger seat. When it comes to talking basketball, I have elite ball knowledge. I don't watch the game, but I understand the game.
Starting point is 00:14:23 So this is because of y'all. Because of y'all, y'all got me watching basketball now. So it's easy for me to get a better understanding who's going to win based on style and matchups. I told you what was going to happen. And that's exactly what happened. Okay. Hey, hey, this man, lucky the shit house rat. So I've been, see, see what I'm talking about, see you're hard-headed, what?
Starting point is 00:14:44 Hey, hey, you got some good picks. I give you credit, bro. You made some good picks. Hey, Joe, I've been right the whole entirety of the playoffs. That ain't good. That ain't luck. That's not luck. Help me understand.
Starting point is 00:14:59 I need somebody to help me understand. What do you need to understand, man? You know, you know, you've been challenged scoring. With the exception of maybe one game that you're really. got out, the scoring has been there. Why wouldn't you start McCain or Caruso instead of Dorr? I don't know
Starting point is 00:15:19 because Dorrka, he been, he, he been struggling. He ain't been giving you nothing. Nothing or offensive, but you need him defensively, huh? But Caruso is just as good, but he's a better offensive guy, because now I can help off Dort. Because, see, you see,
Starting point is 00:15:35 the thing is, is that they would shift Chet, I mean, Wimby on him, him. Wimbe got to work. Wemme can help off him because he ain't going to do nothing. Right. I'll let him take his two, three rainbow threes.
Starting point is 00:15:49 I'll let him take that. He ain't no threat to put the ball on the floor. He's not going to attack me. Right. So I didn't get that. But I was very, very impressed. I think, you know what? I think Ms. Johnson has to say,
Starting point is 00:16:04 hey, man, I need y'all to play attention to Sheldon Sharp's tweet. Because I say, man, y'all don't get Harrison Barnes' ass out of there and let Kelton Johnson, the brine get those minutes as they right on how many corner threes joe is he going to gag i mean they leave him wide open he ain't even close he's not even close to making a basket he don't do nothing look at oh he had a quadruple zero's zero points zero field goals zero threes zero free throws zero rebounds zero turnover zero steals zero blocks minus five in three minute.
Starting point is 00:16:43 Boy, he was good and terrible. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Hey, look, I think the, what helps San Antonio win this game, obviously collectively as a team, they were hitting on all cylinders. But when you got Champ Penny and Vassia, you know, playing the way they played,
Starting point is 00:16:59 Champany making shots six for ten from three, 20 points, six rebounds, bro, that's a plus. On the road, like I didn't, I didn't, I didn't count. I didn't count him in as playing this great in this game seven the way he did. Yeah, he played unbelievable. And just the physicality of the game, fellas.
Starting point is 00:17:22 I mean, just like, even from bringing the ball up, they let them be real handsy today. They let him play today, Joe. Ocho, they let him play. Hey, they let them be handsy today. Okay, Ocho. I'm talking about, hey, they were putting their hands on each other today. And the rest won't call a lot of it. I can appreciate that.
Starting point is 00:17:40 You know what I mean? A great physical battle guys fighting through picks. I mean, as soon as you cross half court, somebody had their hands on you. You know what I mean? I thought it was a great game. I love what Miss Johnson, what Miss Johnson has done with this young San Antonio Spurs team.
Starting point is 00:17:57 He's put belief in those guys. Amen. And they follow in Wemby, bro. They're going to be scary. They're going to be scary. Oh, but I look at, let me see who the referee is going to be. I see Mark Jones. Yeah, I see Tivins.
Starting point is 00:18:11 Yeah. I see Goebel. I see my guy Mitch Urban. I said, okay, they're going to let him play. Yeah. They're going to let them play tonight. Hey, they're going to let a play. Hold on.
Starting point is 00:18:19 Hey, they were looking for, they're looking for files. Mark, Charlie, John, what you want me to do? Hey, hey, aunt. You got to get your ass up and go back there and get on defense. They're going to get away up. Hey, hey, Joe and Uncle, they let them play in game six. They let them play in game six. But that, but that's the thing.
Starting point is 00:18:37 Are they going to let them play? Remember, in game five, they shot 38, 38 free throws. Yeah. Last game, I think they shot 12. This game, they shot 22. They was 32 of 38. Man, 17 or 22.
Starting point is 00:18:56 So you shoot 16 fewer. Guess what? And that's 16 fewer points. I love the pace, Joe, because remember we talked about it, Joe? I said, Joe, as long as they keep him below 60, Do they keep on near to that, that 40, high 40s, maybe low to mid-50s? I like that pace that favors San Antonio. You let OKC, you let them jump to touch that 60, 65, 70.
Starting point is 00:19:21 You're not beating them. You not beat. This May, IHeart Radio celebrates Asian Heritage Month. Discover powerful stories, vibrant cultures, and unforgettable music. Starting point is 00:20:10 You know, Steve Carell is a great singer. Can you tell you not to audition at the office or something? I told him. Whoa. We were filming Anchor Man. Clearly, I was the idiot. Thank God he didn't listen to me, right? Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

Starting point is 00:20:51 on the I-Hard Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Last night, a blown call changed a game. This morning, the internet lost its mind. It's the enhanced games. Some call it grotesque. Others say it's unleashing human potential. Either way, the podcast's superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Starting point is 00:22:05 Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds. I was having trouble stopping them. muscle grace. Listen to Superhuman on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. And I know everybody was thinking like, man, shake. Look, give him that.
Starting point is 00:22:21 He's going to make those tough threes. I don't believe he can get 50 points making those tough twos. Absolutely. I don't believe it. I believe his legs will go first. I say, look what, give him that. And when the trap, hey, when presented, an opportunity to trap him, get it.
Starting point is 00:22:38 man. Hey, Miss Johnson, San Antonio. Yeah, about, yeah. Well deserved victory. They are. Hey.
Starting point is 00:22:50 This was unbelievable game. I mean, Shelf, but you look at the way they came out, Joe. The only, listen, watching this game, and I'm watching it intently. Joe, if they don't let, man,
Starting point is 00:23:03 OKC was killing them on the glass. They were up, they were at, they were, at, they were, plus 10, plus 11. At one point, there was plus 14. Yeah. It flipped around, all of a sudden, guess what?
Starting point is 00:23:17 The Spurs winning a rebound battle by two. Listen, at the rate they were going, they were going to lose this game just on second chance points alone. Yeah. Yeah. I'm like, Cornette, you got one job, and you're failing the assignment, son. But all is forgiven.
Starting point is 00:23:31 After what you did, the Hardinstein, he made up. All is forgiven. Hey, that was big time. That was big time. Listen, anytime your damn second best player take the least amount of shots on the team. Check took two shots. Everybody else who played took at least four damn shots.
Starting point is 00:23:51 Okay, Ocho, can you please tell me how in the hell you're going to win a game like that, man? You not. That man, you got, hold on. OK, C, got the Williams kid. That man played four minutes, bro. He took four shots. He took double wimby and shot attempts. How in the hell, check, I mean, uh, check.
Starting point is 00:24:10 How in the hell, check, hungry, play 33 minutes, bro. You mean to tell me he only get two attempts? And Williams had two fewer points. Come on, man. Come on, man. I don't know. And what am I doing that, Joe? What I'm going to do with him?
Starting point is 00:24:26 Joe, what I'm going to tell me? I need you and Joe to tell me what I'm going to do with them down four rebounds that check got. Nah, damn thing. You can't do nothing with them, ma. Can't do nothing. I have a question. What's a question? Uncle, Uncle Joe, we continue to talk about shit
Starting point is 00:24:39 not taking advantage for the offense opportunities, being scared to shoot the ball. Obviously, the moment is too big for him. What if he's not the second best player on the team? What if he's not? What if we've made him the second best player, but he's really not because he's scared of the big moments. No, but I mean, you're an all-N-B-A player on both ends
Starting point is 00:24:58 on offense and defense. You get a max contract. Yeah, you got to be. They paid you to be the second-best player. Hey, it ain't looking like it. It didn't. And I don't know, and I don't know why they brought Jalen Williams' ass back in game six. Joe, can you imagine if you leave it? At least give me something game. Because here's what's going to happen. If you lose game six, guess what? He ain't going to be ready to go game seven.
Starting point is 00:25:23 He couldn't, I'm going to be honest. He couldn't have played in this game no damn way. No. Now, now with them, they play. You see how hard them dudes out there playing and touching and grabbing on each other, man? I do. I saw it. Hey, I saw it. Bro, this was, hey, man, you had to have some willpower. You know what I mean? Like, I, I sensed it from the start because I was thinking like, damn, hold on.
Starting point is 00:25:46 San Antonio going to blow these boys out at home. I know they ain't feeling good going to go out like that. If they could have got kept them off the glass, they would. That's what, if you think about it, Joe, when they, it changed because it look at when Wimby goes out. Yeah. Wimby goes out. They brought Cornett in.
Starting point is 00:26:01 Then they flipped it. They brought Jalen Williams in. not Jay Louie. That man had nine rebounds at the half. Nine rebounds. Yeah. Giving them second pants,
Starting point is 00:26:13 because here's the thing, Joe, they was up, hey, they was up 11. Yeah. And all of a sudden, you get a second chance point,
Starting point is 00:26:18 it's down to a three. You're down to eight. And now you get another three. It's down to five. As opposed to one shot, one kill, hey, you get one crack at it. If you don't put the ball
Starting point is 00:26:27 in the damn basket, guess what? We're going down to the other end. Yeah. And I don't know what Ms. Johnson told him at the half. He'd say, look here, everything damn fast breaks i need everything to get on the glass yeah yeah everybody hey get you
Starting point is 00:26:43 squeegee get your wind decks and i need you to get on the glass hey and you seen how wimby started the damn game his first play was to the bucket gave you that shoulder create some space off the glass i said oh damn i'll be weird okay okay it's gonna be a long night yeah i love the closeness of this team. You see Wimby? Bryant was down there. His coach chewed his ass out. You see him he goes over and he's talking and he's leading on
Starting point is 00:27:17 Bismarck Bionbo. Yeah. Mike Bionbo ain't played and given him anything but leadership. Yeah. And working with Wemby pushing on this is what you do. This is what you're going to need to expect in this game. This is how what you should do. He's been a, he's been the mentor
Starting point is 00:27:33 that he's needed Look, I understand that Duncan, what Duncan is. I understand what Robinson, but they're not going to be there every day. They're not going to be on, hey, put me, put, uh, beyond Bo's room right next to whimby. As a matter of fact, get them joining room. Get him a presidential suite with a joining door. So he can go in there check on it.
Starting point is 00:27:55 Hey, that's, that's invaluable. He won't, he, I, I think he knows it now, Joe, but he's going to look back down the road. And you know, you hear how guys talk about, you talk about how Antoine and Paul Pierce. And those guys, what they gave you. He will look back five, 10 years down the road from now and says, man, what Bismarck Biombo gave me, that was some of the best NBA advice I could have ever received.
Starting point is 00:28:22 Yeah. He is a natural born leader. Yeah. He is a natural born leader. Now, yeah, he'd get fiery at time. But the compassion that he shows, because he knows everybody is not on his talent level. And so he can't be hard on that.
Starting point is 00:28:36 them like he would can himself. Yeah. But the way he put his arms around the young man the other night, the way he, the man sitting down the floor and he says, I'm proud of you. Yeah. Big time. He came in there. He didn't play what he played three minutes tonight.
Starting point is 00:28:52 He played three minutes, three minutes, gave you a rebound, gave you a tough bucket. The only spurs player, I tell you what, chat. Tell me the only player that played for the spurs that was minus and plus. plus minus. I give you one guess. Oh, man. Come on, man. Do do, do, do, do, do, do, do. Give you one gas. You got Champini, plus 16. You got Wimby, plus seven.
Starting point is 00:29:30 You got Deerrin Fawkes, plus three. Bacelle, no, not plus, but he wasn't minus. Stefan Castle, plus one. Plus six by Johnson, plus two by Brian, plus one by Harper, plus one by Cornett, plus nine by Harper. Give me the guy that got minus. Who got the minor? Boy, look at him.
Starting point is 00:29:55 Boy, that Harris, boy, boy, look at it. That joke ain't what the elephant left on the showground. And anybody that's ever been to the circus, y'all know what the elephant will leave on the showground. Hey, the man only played three and a half minutes. That was too many. Hey, hey, hey. Hey, however many minutes he played, that was three, too many.
Starting point is 00:30:19 And guess what? You see that, you see coach got his ass about it, didn't he? Yeah. And went to them young boys. You're talking about the guy that's been on an NBA championship team. He was a starter on an NBA championship team. A starter on another team, on another team that finished run up. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:37 And in a moment like this, with all these young ass guys, the coach trusted guys in the first, second or third year more than he trusted a seven, eight, nine year veteran. That should tell you everything you need to know. Everybody else, everybody else, hey, he ain't got to get no workout. Hey, San Antonio having seven guys
Starting point is 00:30:58 and double figures, fellas. Hey, look, you talk about Bismack Bianbo having that leadership for Wemby, showing them the ropes. I like Kelly Olinick, too. I think this is what a lot of these young teams are missing, that veteran presence. Yes.
Starting point is 00:31:16 But guys who, if you need them to play, hell, they can step in and play, give you a few hard files or whatever the case may be, like they did the other night. But for the most part, helping these young guys along the way, showing them the ropes, you know, keeping them level-headed
Starting point is 00:31:31 and helping them understand the moment that they're in, bro, you, every team needs this. But you take the veteran guys, out because, you know, the veteran minimum may be three-four me. They don't want to pay that. So they rather go with a two-way guy.
Starting point is 00:31:49 So that's why you have a lot of these teams, bro, that don't have a veteran presence and you have to deal with a lot of BS. You know what I mean? So I'm happy for San Antonio, bro. I'm happy for San Antonio. I'll be honest with y'all. I think they have a great upside, and I think they have a great chance, obviously, to win a title this year.
Starting point is 00:32:10 Yeah, they played unbelievable. For this team to be as young as they are and to go on the road and to beat the defending champs in their building with a two-time league MVP. I don't know. Look, I'm trying to think when something of this magnitude has happened
Starting point is 00:32:28 to lose a game seven as a defending champ in the Western Conference Final on your home court. Chad, y'all help me out. When's the last time it's been done? I don't know, man. I'm going to be honest. I don't know. Hey, it's the first time for everything, I don't know, Joe.
Starting point is 00:32:44 Hey, hey, and Chet, and excuse me. And Shay, he's going to get some criticism. Wait. Just like all, just like all other two-time MVP's, lose a home game in Game 7, just like we ripped, you remember last year when we ripped Yolkich? Yeah. For losing.
Starting point is 00:33:03 Y'all remember that, right? Joe, you remember you? I don't know, Joe, I think you was on here. You remember that? Yeah. The same way we ripped LeBron, because we hold guys with MVP's, to a higher standard. The same way
Starting point is 00:33:14 they criticize Lamar more harsh than they criticize a Josh Allen or a Joe Burrow or or a Trevor Lawrence or what's the guy at the charges, Ocho? Herbert, Justin Herbert. Justin Herbert.
Starting point is 00:33:30 And hell, he's gone away for two weeks. But that's another thing. We'll talk about that at some point time. That's unacceptable in my book. But go ahead. Death in the family, I get it. Wife having a child, I get it. But your wife on a press, Duncan and you, but anyway, we don't get back down normally scheduled programming. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, we don't
Starting point is 00:33:50 like that's like that's life. I got, I got a question. I got a question. What's the question? Talk about, when you talk about criticizing, she said, you still criticize him as well as he played the night. He didn't play well. I mean, if you think about it, as Joe said, in five, six, he was, hasn't been very good.
Starting point is 00:34:09 They were better with, you go back and look at them, Joe? Look at what they plucked when he was off the court, what they did. I'm not saying, and chat, because y'all know how y'all have tried to clip it. I'm not saying they're a better team without him. I'm saying when he went to the bench, look at, okay, when Wimby go to the bench, what happens? With other superstars go to the bench, what happens? He did not play well enough. He shot 40.
Starting point is 00:34:43 A guy that shot 53% in the regular season, shot 40%. Damn. I understand what you're saying. I got to get you a little pushback on that door. Go ahead. I'm here. I mean, game seven, when I need the damn have it, I'm talking about I need to have it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:04 I thought he brought it, bro. Now, I thought it's a supporting cast, the guys off the bench who's been consistent, the Caruso's, the McCain's, Williams, But damn, first of all, we got J. Dub out. That's another all-star Max Gass. You got A.J. Mitchell out. I mean, two guys who are bucket getters. Yes.
Starting point is 00:35:26 In that starting lineup outside of Wallace, like I said, in that four-quarter making a lot. He ain't got it. Damn, what are he supposed to do? But that's what I asked, Joe, why not start a guy that can give you more production offensively? Because your problem is scoring. your problem is allowing wimby to be ed reed your problem is a guy that you're allowing them to play
Starting point is 00:35:48 five on four right that was your problem that look that that is your problem but we also hadn't lost what they lost game one they had been playing pretty well at home you know what i mean yes because they are the defending champs what were they they they weren't going to take lou lu dork out the starting line of fellows they weren't going to do that call for desperate measures i understand not in the game seven on he he does they think they they believe a drastic move like that this team from the very beginning every time they beat them they said you go back and listen to wimby's comments it says it gives us confidence we know we can compete with this team we're not in awe of this team and when they beat you in once the problem that you have is that they beat you
Starting point is 00:36:36 You know if you beat somebody one time, guess what you believe? You can beat them again. Yeah, yeah. You can beat, and guess where they beat them at game one? The only difference, there was six games in between me. Yeah. That's the only difference is still in Oklahoma City. They still got the two-time defending, they still got the two-time MVP.
Starting point is 00:36:56 They still the reigning champs. Nothing changed in my mind. Ms. Johnson probably told them, guys, the only difference is we beat them in game one. this is game seven. Who is to say we're not supposed to beat them in game seven? Right. Just because, just because it's there?
Starting point is 00:37:14 We've already been there. We've already done that. But there are some games, Joe, when he's scored 19, when he's going, when he's, hey, the mere fact that they're in this position. Yeah, the starters ain't give them much.
Starting point is 00:37:28 Their bench was sensational. You can't say anything about that. Think about it. Hold on a lot tonight. 23, 35, you got 37 points from your business. bench. Finally, finally, it was close. You got Dylan Harper. Dylan Harper hits some big threes tonight. Big threes tonight.
Starting point is 00:37:47 Kel and Johnson got on the glass. You see him getting that rebody, put that put back, and started barking. Hoo, hoo, whoo, who, this dog's at the house. In the dog's in the house, roo, roo, roo, roo, roo. I think, come on, Kel, got on that glass on him. Yeah, and he said he's the biggest dog in this yard. He did. He absolutely did. I love what Harper brings to the game, bro, a 20-year-old rookie who looks like he's been in the league for seven or eight years, bro.
Starting point is 00:38:15 I'm talking about fellas, it's hard to come by. You know, they had San Antonio had the number two pick this year, bro, and they drafted Dylan Harper. So to be in this position to where you got Harper, Castle, Wimby, Fox. For the future is so bright for these dudes. Joe? And Fox, Hey, Fox played his ass off tonight. Game five and six, he played better.
Starting point is 00:38:42 He got more points in game five, in game seven than he had in five and six combined. He looked good. He looked like, I'm like, man, get up all the Fox and let it work on these foods. Couldn't nobody stay in front of it. Man, not Dorrk, not Caruso, not Wallace, none of them. You see how all of them on the slipping slide.
Starting point is 00:38:59 You see how fast that boy is out there, man. You too quick. Quick of the cat on a marble table. Too quick and too exposed. You know what I like about the young rookie harbour two? What's that? What else? The moment ain't too big for him, Joe.
Starting point is 00:39:11 Nope. It ain't too big for him. Hitting those big threes like that. Yeah. Beautiful. Now, I wish, he's playing with confidence. That goddamn shit. Bad, bad.
Starting point is 00:39:23 Come on. I don't mean to butcher's first name. Shit. You said, shit. Those are the shots he's supposed to be making a night. At his height. Ocho. He ain't take but two.
Starting point is 00:39:35 You got a. You can't make no shots if you don't take any. You got to give yourself a damn chance. You're not playing with confidence. That's why you're not taking the shots. Man, listen. But when they put that, you're right, Ocho, because you look at who they had the,
Starting point is 00:39:49 they had Vaseel guarding that man. Oh, man. They got Vaseel gardening. No, no. The Vassell is a hell of a defender. But at some foot, I ain't hovered up. And maybe that's how they got him playing, Joe,
Starting point is 00:40:02 because they don't really use him in the post-up game because that's not his game. He close around because you won't, you won't Shay to have access to the paint. I'm sorry. I wish I could agree with you on that, but I can't because I'm going to tell y'all why. They write that pick and roll numerous of times tonight,
Starting point is 00:40:20 and Fox was on switched on him a couple of times. His ass didn't duck in, didn't make yourself big or nothing. He just circam to the switch and then goes out to the corner three. I'm like, bro, stand right. Get a day. them three seconds, make their ass throw you the damn ball. Ain't no way in hell Fox supposed to be guarding that.
Starting point is 00:40:40 Guess who's on the weak side? I don't care who are. But he's going to have to come over here. You go care. Listen, he's going to have to come over and help and let me spray to the corner. But listen, if we just going to let Shay play in isolation the whole game, yeah, I know he kind of got it going in this game. But the damn fourth quarter, he ain't got nothing in the tank.
Starting point is 00:41:02 But that's, Joe, what did you say? Let's say Let She get his And shut the water off For everybody else That's what you've been preaching But the only reason they want to shut out Because hell
Starting point is 00:41:15 You ain't giving yourself a fighting chair On the man I didn't know rhythm I didn't even watch them fall I just been clapping all night Now all of a sudden Joe He wants me to go get a basket And I've been using these hands to clap
Starting point is 00:41:28 Oh The man played 33 minutes Bro took two shots Come on man And there's only Only one answer behind that. Hey, Ocho. You only take two shots.
Starting point is 00:41:39 I'm nervous. The moment is too big for me. I'm not confident in a shot. I mean, I'm not in rhythm. I agree, because I'm not going to even lie. There was a few times, especially the times, Wimby Gardner, he don't even look at the damn room. I told you.
Starting point is 00:41:54 He don't even look at the rim. Get this ball, man. Like, he don't even make himself a threat. But not only that, I think when San Antonio was making shots like how here, bro, they're going to be impossible. to beat. Yeah. Like, you know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:42:07 Like, when they get off the starts like that, and they three after three. I mean, hell, they were 17 for 40 from the three, fellas at 42%. Bro, that's pretty damn good. On the road, game seven? In the game seven, Joe, it would think about it.
Starting point is 00:42:23 Because every time Wallace hit one, Champany come right back behind them, hit one. And then they hit somebody, or somebody else hit another one, here comes Champany right behind them. Yeah. Or Fox, right behind them.
Starting point is 00:42:35 him, Dylan Harper right behind him. So it was every time, every time you do something, okay. They had an answer. They had an answer. And see, that is where OKC normally gets their opponent. Because when they go on their run, normally teams don't have an answer. Go back and look at them in the first round. Phoenix might have a lead, but then when they go on the run, they can't suppress it.
Starting point is 00:43:03 You look at the Lakers. Every time they couldn't, nobody could answer it. And so now all of a sudden, you got somebody that's just as young, just as athletic, and they got a guy that's seven, four and a half, seven, five, that can make shots. That's not afraid to take a shot. Joe, did you see that man pull up from the three? Yeah, yeah, I did. That man put a step back.
Starting point is 00:43:27 He was about to drive on Jail William. He said, no, he said, come here. He said, can I have this dance? He said you've been a wallflower all night. Nobody asked to dance with you. Shall I? Bop! Hey, hey.
Starting point is 00:43:41 Hey, man, look here. This is unbelievable, man. It is crazy. You know, it's 22 corn from champagne. Hold on. Hold on. It's unbelievable to y'all. Oh, here he goes with his.
Starting point is 00:43:53 I'm going to tell you, it's unbelievable. Huh? We got to sit here and listen to this all night, man. No, Joe, I'm just telling you. Damn. Respect. Joe, I mean no disrespect. What you saw tonight, what you
Starting point is 00:44:06 wits tonight, it's unbelievable to y'all. I told you what was going to happen. And you know what? Who you got in the final, Joe? I got the Spurs there. If we go again with the bullshit. Uncle, you got the final. We got another game between before they play again.
Starting point is 00:44:22 So we got, we got tomorrow night. We got Monday night. We're good. What you mean? Right now, Joe, you ain't got a pick. Let's just, let's focus on this game. No, no, no, no, no. Don't do that.
Starting point is 00:44:32 Don't do it. Yeah, we got Monday. What you're scared of? We're going to pick all the, we're going to pick the games on Monday. Okay, we'll wait. I mean, listen, your answer ain't going to change from now to Monday.
Starting point is 00:44:41 You don't know my answer. Hey, he's feeling good tonight. Hey, the boy early as I don't know what. Time out. I've been feeling good since the NBA playoff started because I knew it was going to happen. I got every playoff series right.
Starting point is 00:44:55 Everyone, that's not luck. That's ball knowledge, which y'all don't have. You jank his hair. Hey, respect, respect. Today, Ocho, hey, Joe and Ocho, you know today was Harrison Barnes' birthday?
Starting point is 00:45:08 Yeah. And the man went awful on his birthday. What a hell of a deal. Hey, you got a chill. Hey, you got a chill. Hey, you got a chill. Hey, they got a win for him on his birthday. Hey.
Starting point is 00:45:23 Who. Man, listen, I've been running the people. That's all they've been talking about how they thought the Spurs was going to win. And this, I'll be down. on. And the boys did that, man. They did that. That's the thing, though, Joe, you know this.
Starting point is 00:45:36 In a game seven, it ain't promised. It ain't, bro. People just think, were they at home? Okay, and? Because in order, if you're the home team, in order for it to get the game seven, the team, the visiting team had to have won one game in your place.
Starting point is 00:45:52 If you win one, why can't you win two? Hey, see. The prop, the thing that the spurs can do, that not very many teams, if any, can do, they can match up with them, talent for talent, athlete for athlete. I don't know if any other team
Starting point is 00:46:09 can match up with them like that, Joe. When you look at, you look at Champini and Vasile and Castle and Kelden Johnson and Dylan Harper, oh, we can go with Jalen Williams. We can go with Caruso. We can go with McCain. Yeah, we can, Asale, Joe,
Starting point is 00:46:24 we can match up with him. Player for player. But we got something, y'all don't. He's seven five. Hey. Hey. Hey, I'm glad. Hey, I love that little soliloquy.
Starting point is 00:46:39 You know, you just gave on the Spurs. But for some reason, knowing everything you know, for some reason, y'all still picked a thundum. You pick Miami to make the playoffs. Who? Ocho. When? This shit.

Starting point is 00:49:30 Here. Me? Come on, man. Come on, man. Stop it. Damn. What a minute. When did I say that?
Starting point is 00:49:41 You said the heat was going to make the playoffs. They got the playing. Oh, we got these boys here. Oh, I was just playing. No, no, no. He's playing. Hold on. Were you playing when you picked the spurs?
Starting point is 00:49:54 When it mattered, when it mattered most, when it was time to get serious, when the playoffs started, when the when the when the when it not playing when the playoff started i told you every series and how it was going to go and it played out exactly how i said and the same thing going to happen for the finals i tell you what i'm not even going to tell you who won't win the finals but i know one thing new york city going to be flipped upside down wimby is the 2026 western conference most valuable player the urban johnson trophy that's what is named after urban magic johnson the eastern conference
Starting point is 00:50:27 have the Larry Bird trophy. Here's video of Wimby receiving the trophy. Boy, I show him when that joke to have kids to hold something over his head and the kids try to get it. Hey, hey. The kid's going to have to be on top of the house and he has to come in the kitchen.
Starting point is 00:50:59 Hey, man, let me tell you y'all something. Real talk. They make, their young man there is determined. He's determined to win this year, bro. Yep. He has an attitude and it's infectious because it runs through the rest of those guys who compete on their team with him
Starting point is 00:51:15 and they love him, bro. You can see it. It's oozing out of them. And he's leading right. You know, he comes in, he plays hard, he plays the right way, he plays winning basketball. And he is a human cheat code.
Starting point is 00:51:28 He is a human cheat code. He is. That's it. I think sometimes the greatest, uh, leader's greatest attributes is, is how he treats his teammates. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:40 How he gets them ready to play. Not only does he lead by example, they see how hard he works. They see he's in early, probably out late. They see how hard he plays on the court. It's,
Starting point is 00:51:52 oh, you gotta realize there ain't very many people. They ain't ever been that many people that's ever been alive that's been that tall. He ain't, he's not clumbersome. He gets up and down.
Starting point is 00:52:07 I mean, most guys, they can't, they can't move. Slow. He can't move. move. I'm like, no, he ain't, no, he ain't shak.
Starting point is 00:52:16 He can't get up and down the court like a shack. But to be seven, five and a half, seven, four and a half, seven, five with shoes. And it's as hard as he plays. Bro, he's trying to get back on defense. Yeah, it's taking, I'm watching him. He's playing so hard, Joe, about two minutes into the game, he already got his hands on his shorts. It takes a lot to fuel that big body.
Starting point is 00:52:38 Hey, you got to get through that second win. You got to get, because, You got to blow through that first. Oh, because the pressure is so high, it's game seven. So as soon as a tip go, you, you're in full throttle. Like, yeah, you didn't even take the damn breath and you don't even know it. So by the time you figure out, you're grabbing your shorts. But I agree.
Starting point is 00:53:00 The intensity is so thick, Joe. Oh, my. That's why you can't breathe. It's because the intensity is sucking up all the oxygen. You understand the gravity of this game. Yeah. Man, it was unbelievable that the way they came. came out, you can tell the way they came out, Joe.
Starting point is 00:53:15 The first two minutes of the ball game, I was like, boy, OK, see, y'all got your hands full tonight. Yeah, yeah, it ain't taking nothing but the first play for me, okay, Ocho, seriously. When he caught it at the three and he drove on Hardinstein, and he gave him that bump and he shot it off the glass, I said, oh, shit, it's going to be a long night. It's going to be a long, because that's the last thing you want, bro,
Starting point is 00:53:36 is for your day best player to get an easy bugger to start the game. And now look how he's, get back on defense. He's pointing. He ready. Yep. Hey, you let him get going, bro. It's hard to cool. And they see you know it's a ripple effect. Everybody's knocking down shots now. Everybody's
Starting point is 00:53:54 playing hard. They then built the league up to about 13, 14. I said, man, listen. Damn. Players with 175 plus points and 15 blocks in a conference finals. There have only been three.
Starting point is 00:54:12 Prior to this series, there had only been two. One, Shaquille O'Neal, the other, Hakeem Elijah won, and now Wembe joined this elite, illustrious group to this list. Players with 175 plus points, 15 plus blocks, and a conference finals. Wemby responds to the criticism for crying on the court. Personally, I refuse to carry the burden of hiding my emotions. I love it. Yeah, because you know what they do.
Starting point is 00:54:42 They tried to, well, such and such didn't try it. That's him. Well, such and such didn't do that. That's him. Yeah. Bro, look here. I got some, I got clean eggs. You're going to play like that?
Starting point is 00:54:57 This dude is unbelievable, man. How can you, he might be, when it's all saying done. Yeah. He might be one of the most liked NBA players in the history of the game. And we've had some beloved players. Yes. But it's hard to find someone, even if you don't root for the spurs, to dislike this young man.
Starting point is 00:55:17 It is, bro. He's doing everything right, huh? He's doing everything right. Some players, just the way they carry themselves, they're just likable. Yeah. Just likable. But then you're always going to have,
Starting point is 00:55:28 you're always going to have your select few who won't find a reason to hate for no reason. Yeah. Even though there isn't. There's really nothing you could find to say really bad about it. Nothing. They being critical of someone showing emotion.
Starting point is 00:55:41 At what point? At what emotion bad? Joe? Every player, there's only one player that had a positive plus minus. That was Jalen William. He came off the bench from 26 minutes, gave you a double double. He gave you 11 points, 10 rebounds, four assists. He was plus 10.
Starting point is 00:56:01 Big home. Minus 14. Chet, minus three. Shea, minus seven. Lou Dort, minus nine. Cason Wallace, minus three. Caruso, minus five. Kendrick Williams, minus one.
Starting point is 00:56:15 Jerry McCain minus eight those boys young men they balled ass out tonight Cardio Chet All NBA All NBA
Starting point is 00:56:30 Gave you four point four rebounds Hey Dylan Harper came off the bench He was a rookie Gave you seven rebounds Yeah Chet had four
Starting point is 00:56:41 Listen the spurs have grown throughout this whole postseason fellas starting with the blazers to Minnesota yes the okayC I felt the Minnesota series prepared them for this series because of the physicality and wimby knew how he had to respond knew how he had to play knew how he had to play through the physicality I thought he was terrific you know pretty much throughout every game this series man. And he... That one, Joe.
Starting point is 00:57:16 Which one? You're about Wimby? Yeah. Which one? Game 5, Joe. And there was a couple of games. He had one game. He had one rebound at the half.
Starting point is 00:57:24 I said, come on with me now. Yeah. Yeah. But since then, since that talk Pop had with him? Oh, yeah. Game six and seven? He was on fire. Hey, hey, he had it on his mind, man, and you can tell from the start of the game.
Starting point is 00:57:38 You look at game six in San Antonio, how he got off to that great start, you know, determined. to put his stamp on the game. And there's game seven, the way he started the game, bro, just being aggressive, putting his head down, getting to the basket. Hey, man, it ran through those other guys. I think it oozes confidence into those other guys. I love what Castle has done.
Starting point is 00:58:03 I think he'll probably make a few defensive teams. Oh, Joe Castle. Who that? Castle. Oh, yeah, he should. Yeah. I mean, you look at what. what he done to Shea, the way he competed against Shea
Starting point is 00:58:17 throughout this whole series. I ain't talking about just defense. I'm talking offensively going at his damn man too. Plus the thing is, Joe, okay, you're like, well, Shee average this, what he didn't get his, he didn't get his regular season average, and he damn show didn't shoot the percentage that he shot in the regular season. No. So that's because, and I thought all those guys, they didn't have no problem.
Starting point is 00:58:38 Bassel, Bessel would take him, Champany would take him, Deer and Fox would take him. sometimes you can't be afraid of the moment. I think sometimes when they see these big time players come up and they're like, oh, Lord, have mercy. Oh, what, what did I? No, hell now. I'll be in awe of you tomorrow.
Starting point is 00:58:57 Right. Today I'm going at your throat. You hear me? You got to work. You got to work for every bucket. I'm not saying that you're not going to score. Yeah. You're going to work.
Starting point is 00:59:06 But you best damn believe, I'm going to make it as difficult as possible I can on your ass. And you know what? For San Antonio, bro, they don't have no live. on defense. Even when you look at Fox, hell, he can guard his butt out. You know what I mean? Would he want to? Yes. Yeah, he can guard when he want to. But listen, when you put harp in there, man, it just seemed like it's just a different ball game because he plays like a big guard, a real big guard. You know what I mean? He's always going to be under control. He's a young player, so he may give you a couple turnovers here and then. You have to live with them.
Starting point is 00:59:40 Live with it. Bro, for a 20-year-old to be out there handling that pressure, the way he's handled their pressure, man, he's such a key component to what they do. The key is that having a team early on your career and have a team surround you. Man. See, you know,
Starting point is 01:00:00 Wembe is not going to have to wait four years, five years, six years. This team is already built to his liking. You look at Ladd Bird. They go to a situation. He already got Michao. He already got Parrish. Now, guess what they bring in? They bring in Nate Archibault, Tiny Archibault.
Starting point is 01:00:20 They get rid of Tiny Archibald, and guess what? They bring in Dennis Johnson. Yeah. And they already had cornbread. So think about that. Yeah. Magic. He goes to a team.
Starting point is 01:00:29 They got Karene. They got Jamal Wilkes. They got Storm and Norman Nixon. No. So he's not going to have to wait. Well, you know, they need a few more pieces. They got every damn thing they need right now. to win a championship.
Starting point is 01:00:47 Forget competing. They got everything they need to win a championship. I agree. Because look, your bench is going to play a big role, and they got some great guys coming off their bench. And Harper and Kelton, Johnson, even coordinated times.
Starting point is 01:01:03 I'm sure Harrison Barnes will be a little better in the finals. Unk. Are you sure? I'm sorry? Hey, but, I got a question. A, R. What's a little bit of, Joe?
Starting point is 01:01:15 Listen, when we talk about the Spurs, right, think about this. What are you expecting from Harrison Barnes when he does get the two or three minutes that he does? Because all he's doing is he's coming in to give someone else a rest. Ocho, why you think he only getting two or three minutes and not five, ten minutes? Tell me why you think he only getting two to three minutes. Tell me what you think. In your best, in your basketball, you watch basketball. Your knowledge is not like Joe's and eyes.
Starting point is 01:01:42 But when you watch, why is he only getting two and three minutes and not eight to ten minutes? You got to come in making a difference. Oh, that's why. Hey, listen, come in, come in. Don't make any mistakes. Play defense. If you got a shot in you open, take your shot. If you miss, so be it.
Starting point is 01:02:01 But we need to give your start or whoever you're coming in for. We need to give them two, three minutes. Let them catch their breath before they come in. That's all. Just don't make no mistake. Minimize your errors. If you are, if you are 10-year vet, 10-year vet, 12-year vet. Talk to me.
Starting point is 01:02:16 And they, you're the third, you the third receiver. You go in there and the next day you know, next, next drive, they got the rookies playing in front of you. That's gonna tell you something ain't it? Hey, the rookie playing in front of them, them boys, them boys and dogs now. I don't care who the, I don't, I don't, guess what? I don't play it in front of rookies drafting in the first round.
Starting point is 01:02:42 Until I leave, you're not gonna play unless I get, raise my hand and I'm tired, you can come in. But you're not going to fit me out for this job. Hey. So where's your turn? Hey, think about what you just said. The rookies that's playing in front of them is much better than he is. And they add their, they add a little bit more value.
Starting point is 01:02:57 They brought Carter Bryant in. They bring it Shelton in. They're bringing everybody in besides you. Bro. Bro. You were on a championship winning team as a key member. Hey, hey. He's there for another great veteran presence.
Starting point is 01:03:16 Yeah, we'll throw you in. We'll throw you in eight nine then. You know what I mean? If you're making shots, hell, we'll keep you in. They ain't making no shots. You got to come over here and coach him. Oh, you know what? I know why he there.
Starting point is 01:03:28 I know exactly why he there. Why he's the interpreter? Because when they kick, when they kick Wimby out, he explained to him. He didn't nobody else know what to do. He could understand he could interpret for women. That's why you there. Wimby say what they mean. When Wimby say what they mean.
Starting point is 01:03:45 You got to. He rejected. Who got me? They threw me out. Oh, okay. He explained to him in French, huh? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:54 So that what he there for? That what he there for? Boy, look at this. Hey, that extension kicks in for Chet this season. Now in 26, 27, he'll make 41.3, 44.6, 47, 47.9, 51.2, and 54.5 for a grand total of 239.3.3. million dollars and he didn't get the escalators for making all NBA had he made it that would have an extra 45 on top of that you can't be scared at a moment on that's all it is
Starting point is 01:04:28 you can't be scared at the moment you got to take a shot shooters shooters keep shooting at your height nobody should be able to do anything with you at there impose your will on whoever it is what joe oh cho if i go to the party man this party boy man these girls ain't Well, how many you talked to? I ain't talked to another. That's why the party, what nothing? So you thought they was just gonna come up and you would just get you their number
Starting point is 01:04:53 or ask you out? Who did you talk to? Did you ask any of them to dance? Did you ask any of them, you know, what's your name? Where you're from? What you do? Yeah. Oh, man, I was just, yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:04 I was just, okay. Yeah. Well, let me tell you, I had me a great old time. Yeah, you got to assert yourself in there, man. Hey, and as a matter of fact, before they got the phone, Hey, you know at the end of the night, everybody on pocketful or no drinked out on top of hell? Hey, hey, you heard what Joe just said, right?
Starting point is 01:05:24 What's that? You got to assert yourself. Unk, you know what you got? Joe, you know what you had when you played? What? You know what you had when you played? Yeah, confidence. Confidence.
Starting point is 01:05:34 Confidence is all it takes in anything that you do. If you got that, you're good. He was not playing with confidence, which is why he only had two shots. Nah, he played like, but guess what? He played like comedy if we did guard by DeAndre Aiton. He's playing with a comedy if we did guard by guard by Rui. But then all of a sudden, that set, that alien.
Starting point is 01:05:57 No. Bro, when he had, I'm telling you, it was way too many times where he had a smaller guy switched on him. And he just, and he did nothing. He didn't, he didn't try to duck in. He didn't try to get the mismatch. Okay, boom. gonna get the double team on baby to swing swing we're gonna have a wide number three on the on the
Starting point is 01:06:20 weak side bro it was just like he was just out there hold on joke when he did get the ball when he did get the ball on the picks on the switches he gave the ball up oh cho the man he didn't even look at the guy excuse me i've been doing good without saying god damn he didn't even look at the rim he didn't bro he's looking to pass and they didn't need they didn't need another damn pass they needed somebody to assert themselves go with go with go with shape to go with shape yeah yeah it's like that pace with that intensity joe you thought shape was going to be able to keep that up no i thought somebody they can they can run they can run castle at it they can run champagne at it they can run they can run they can put kelton johnson on him they can put they can put carter bryon
Starting point is 01:07:10 on him. They can go Deerrin Fox. So they said got six guys. Now maybe all don't defend them the same or equally as well, but I got six guys I can throw at one. Yeah. Yeah. And and. So he needed somebody to come up. Hey, bro. Hey, you know how it is. Hey, man, I'm getting ready to take a trip. I'm going over here, man. Such as such. You want to roll with your boy? She, man, I ain't got nothing else to do. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Hey, man, this is a game seven, man. You know, I'm a ball out. Anybody else want to roll out with me? Chair said, well, hey, let me find somebody that they want to go.
Starting point is 01:07:43 Hey. Hey. She said he went there and ball a lot. Hey, you got a cheer. You got a cheer. You got a cheer. Hey. Hey, he's going to.
Starting point is 01:07:56 Hey. Joe, once that confidence is shot, boy. Well, it is hell getting it back, man. Man, Ocho. Back. I know, I know what he looked when he played against the Lakers. Man, damn, man. This game seven, these guys are proven winners.
Starting point is 01:08:13 They've been in these situations before. They played a game seven. Hell, in the finals last year. You know what I mean? I think. He didn't have to deal with the alien. I get that. But once She got it going tonight and San Antonio started to switch up their defense,
Starting point is 01:08:29 they started trapping them on the pick and rolls, making them get a ball up. Yeah. They were getting nothing when he was giving the ball up, bro. It's like he would get a ball up. up some way somehow they'll find this way right back to him when damn y'all playing on y'all playing on three we gotta be able to get something out of that bro they weren't getting nothing out of those when they started when san antonio started putting that double team on shay they was not getting no easy buck it seemed
Starting point is 01:08:54 like every point that o kc had to come by they had to work extra hard and then you come down boom champ penny for three harper for three fox for three they were scoring at will hey uh That's embarrassing. I told that about, you know, about Shay looking with somebody to come along with me and Chet say, let me go find somebody because that actually happened. We was in the game one time.
Starting point is 01:09:22 And we needed a defensive lineman to go in there on PAT. Yeah. And the D-Lyman was standing right next to him. Coach said, God, we need a D-Li-Lama. He said, hey, we need a D-Limer. He'll D-Liamer standing right next to coach. Cause he, God.
Starting point is 01:09:42 we need a D-Liman to get in there. He's like, hey, Coles, we need a D-Lyman. He said, damn, then, I ain't going in now. Man, it's stuff like that, Joe, that you know what?
Starting point is 01:09:58 If you weren't there, you wouldn't believe somebody like you, hey, get it, nah, nah, that that is for me. He missed somebody other than me. Right, right.
Starting point is 01:10:08 Julian Champini, game seven, 20. 6 rebound. He was 6 to 10 for the 3. from the three-pointer. That's the most threes by Spurs in a game seven. Damn.
Starting point is 01:10:17 A spur, excuse me, in a game seven. Players to make over five threes in a conference final game, Splash Bros. Steph and Clay. Now, Champini joins that list. Every big three bro, he answered every bell, every call that the thunder put out. He answered it with a three of his own.
Starting point is 01:10:40 He did. You see, hey, and Shay hit a tough. Man, Shay hit one three. He was falling to his left. Hey, doing whatever. Jason Wallace. Hey, and the time running out. Jalen Williams let one go, a Joe and no, Joe.
Starting point is 01:10:55 He'd make it. Yeah. Champaign and says, and. Yeah. Right back at you. And I ain't scared. Yeah. Hey, San Antonio showed me some, fellas.
Starting point is 01:11:07 I'm going to be honest with you. I did not have them winning this game seven. okay C. Players with at least 125 points, 50 assists in the Western Conference Finals this century. Kobe, Russ,
Starting point is 01:11:22 Shea, Stefan Castle. Mm. Again, Kobe, Russ, Shea, Stefan Castle. Hey, Stefan Castle is nice, fellas.
