Starting point is 00:04:24 You know what? I didn't get a chance to see it I saw a few clips on Twitter I'm sure you probably saw More than I did I just have one question I'm sure you're very familiar With the roast that I talked about earlier When we talked about roast as far as Everything being a green light especially
Starting point is 00:04:40 Back in those days where nothing was really Frowned upon and everything And when I say everything was a green light even the jokes that had a little bit of racist undertone the watermelon joke the chicken jokes was it anything like that or was it a PC roast
Starting point is 00:04:55 no it wasn't a PC they tore his ass up and I could and Midway and probably from the very beginning he realized what the hell was that sign up for because you have to understand look a roast in and of itself like even though we don't have cameras and all that when we roast one another we had the barbershop we had to get together with the boys we roasted we bring you had to sometimes roast what do the roast lead to? A fight because you're making it too personal. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:26 Yeah, see, now. So in that situation, man, they bringing up stuff, man. Hey, they brought up something about Mr. Craft. He didn't seem too, I think some comedian said, hey, I thought I was going to get a massage. Make a reference to Mr. Craft. And Tom like, hey, don't say that. You can't do that.
Starting point is 00:05:45 Rule number one, when it comes to roasting, you do not interrupt the person roasting at all. You cannot interrupt the roast. That is the whole point of a roast, especially one of this magnitude with a polarizing figure
Starting point is 00:05:57 like Tom Brady. You got to sit there and take it. Did they roast the relationship between Giselle and her trainer? anybody oh they went there bro that's a rose okay i'm telling you that's when you've been around situation with guys just start joking we call it joning call it roasting whatever you call the beat and it gets too it gets out of hand it starts to get personal it starts to trade into a situation oh your girl or your wife or your kid
Starting point is 00:06:26 and not walk but in this situation this is what you signed up for so again you have to be careful me could i roast somebody absolutely can you take it could i get roasted oh no oh absolutely not i could never oh you can't You can't take no roasting? No, because here's the thing. The guys that you're going to need to roast me, they know everything. That's the point. You get Bucket, you get Burns,
Starting point is 00:06:57 you get some of the guys that's been around me for 30 years, they know all the bodies of Mary. Right, right, right. Nah. But call O'Shea Dyle to tell somebody else that. Let him have it. Am I? The whole
Starting point is 00:07:14 night. I like it. I think, obviously, because of my personality, because I am, I'm pretty easygoing. I could probably sit through a roast because I'm so used to jonesing or ranking, whatever you call it wherever you're from i i wouldn't i would i would enjoy that i would enjoy that if there's anything that you've done that you're not proud about oh that's a part of roasting i understand that that's a part of no you say you see it's
Starting point is 00:07:41 easy to say that until you under and it's like it's like being in that chair in that interrogating room man i ain't gonna tell them nothing and then they come in and they start throwing pictures and they start talking about such and such but hold on how do you know about that and they talk about what this is uh this is a murder this is a death sentence case this is a capital murder you've seen the first 48 when they in Memphis this is first 48 when they lived in Liberty City oh yes I remember clear as day
Starting point is 00:08:07 now they all of a sudden they talking about that's a hey they're going to put that needle in your arm oh yeah I know mama not going to be able
Starting point is 00:08:16 to hug you granny ain't going to be able to see you no more you know what when it comes to me obviously I think your life has been a little bit more private
Starting point is 00:08:23 as opposed to mine everything I've done I've always lived I've always lived I've always lived publicly always me obviously i think your life has been a little bit more private as as opposed to mine everything i've done i've always lived i've always lived i've always lived publicly always so so my good my my goods were public and my lows were public you you understand where i'm going so i was never one to hide behind uh social media or or a tuck my tail when i made my when i made my mistakes i made it with my head high. I took responsibility and went on about my day
Starting point is 00:08:49 trying to recover and do all the right things to right my wrongs, if I might say. So that's why I say someone like myself, if it came to a roast, I can take that
Starting point is 00:08:58 because I've had the brunt of the bad in front of the world. In front of the world. So, I mean, it wouldn't be no issue. Yeah, see, for me, like when my boys be joining,
Starting point is 00:09:12 I don't even... That's a small crowd, though. That's a small crowd. But see, now you're talking about people that you don't know and you don't have a relationship with you. Joining or roasting. That's what, you know, you and I, we have a relationship with you yeah joning or roasting that's what you know hey you and i we go back and forth with each other but you and i have a personal relationship
Starting point is 00:09:31 i wouldn't dare let somebody say some of the things that what you be talking how you be oh no but that's but see that's the whole point of having a roast because now you're getting people but in a roast a lot of times they start off that's what they do these are comedians like the first 10 15 guys that roast your ass they've been doing this 10 15 30 years you had the caribou you had the darn rickles you had the rodney danger fields you had the will wil Dangerfields. You had the Will Wilson, the Richard Pryor. All those would let you have it. What's up, girl? Esther from Stampin' the Sun. What's her regular
Starting point is 00:10:12 name? Oh, my goodness, boy. Hey, but she was so funny on that goddamn roast with Dean Martin, man. Dean Martin, oh. They got tapes with Dean Martin. You could get like, they got tapes. They got tapes with Dean Martin. You could get like 20 tapes of celebrity roasts where they lighting people up.
Starting point is 00:10:31 Everybody. Yeah. Now, like I said, going to an HBCU, if you can't Joan, you can't roast, I don't know how you make it. I don't know how you make it. And we used to have the roses. Like, we just go to each other's room and we just zone each other. I'm talking about
Starting point is 00:10:49 zoning. I'm talking about, oh, yeah. As a matter of fact, my old teammate, Red Grant. Wait. Comedian Red Grant? Yeah, he's on the team at Savannah State. What position Red played? Pullback. Wait, he must have been team at Savannah State. What position Red played? Pullback.
Starting point is 00:11:05 Wait, he must have been fat back then. Red's small. Yeah, he was a pullback. Oh, God damn. Hell, everybody was small 35 years ago. Hey, man, I see. Listen, I hate to change the subject.
Starting point is 00:11:17 I used to watch Red Grant at the Laugh Factory way back when I was in L.A., way back then when D. Ray Davis used to host some time. That's how long I've been watching Red Grant. Damn! That's dope.
Starting point is 00:11:29 We used to have talent shows. Red, another dude named, his name was Bernard Mack. And they would do comedy. This other dude named Eugene Brantley, they would have wrestling matches. Wrestling?
Starting point is 00:11:46 The ladies would come up. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, oh, oh. We had real live talent. The girls, I mean, they could really, really sing. Oh, man. It was unbelievable.
Starting point is 00:11:56 But when it came to that, Joni... Different ballgame. You know, O'Shea. You know, O'Shea kept the faith in the chain. Oh, yeah. But like you said, things that you could get away with back then
Starting point is 00:12:09 oh you getting cancelled today oh you getting cancelled today cause we were ripping them but that's where we are now and you adapt I still can get them off though you know I can still get the jokes off that's my thing so Giselle I still could get them off, though. You know I can still get the jokes off. That's my thing.
Starting point is 00:12:28 So, Gisele, Bob Craft, Nikki Glaser with some crazy Aaron Hernandez jokes. Who knew Drew Bledsoe was funny? They booed Kim Kardashian. Even Coach Belichick. Wait, he was up there? So that... Yeah, Coach Belichick came on that thing. Was he funny?
Starting point is 00:12:44 Dressed like an encyclopedia salesman. But he was... But he was there. He was there. Oh, that's funny. Oh, man, yeah. But the roast, hey, everybody, like I said, like comedians do really well in roasts
Starting point is 00:13:02 because they know how to take it. That's their environment. That's their environment. They're used to it. That's it environment. That's their environment. They're used to it. That's it. It's just like a football player. He knows how to take a hit. A wide receiver, a running back, they know how to take a hit.
Starting point is 00:13:13 The average person, you put them out there in some pads and say, okay, take this hit. You're breaking something. Something's getting broke because you don't know how to give. You don't know how to fall. So, but everybody, nah, them roles ain't for everybody. Yeah, I gotta watch that one. Obviously, I'm not watching it tonight.
Starting point is 00:13:30 As a matter of fact, I still think they're tearing his ass up. Wait, it's still going on? Yeah. Okay. I'm gonna watch it in the morning. The night ain't happening. Yeah. It's gonna be going on, but it was good. Like I said, I think Tom,
Starting point is 00:13:49 he probably like, once that initial burn got over, he like, okay. But you know, he was sitting there like, that sounded like a good idea at the time. Not while you're in it. And it's too late now. Once it's gone, it's too late, then you can't back out.
Starting point is 00:14:05 Yeah. You have, you have an owner show. I want y'all. Somebody asked you to do something and you like, yeah, yeah. And then when it comes time for you to do it,
Starting point is 00:14:12 you're like, man, why the hell I say, yeah, I know damn well. I want to do this. It happens all the time. I was,
Starting point is 00:14:19 ah, and then you get stuck, but it is what it is. But, uh, he, he, he, it's, uh, he's doing the best he can with it. I know that Giselle stuff, it stinks.
Starting point is 00:14:31 You think so? To hear about your old lady was seeing... Bro, you Tom Brady. The greater the person, the greater ego. You know how that works. And to know somebody potentially was with her while you... Man, stop it, Ocho. Listen.
Starting point is 00:14:47 You listen. You've always said it before. What did you say about expectations? If you learn to manage your expectations, you won't be... Ain't no managing
Starting point is 00:14:58 no expectations when I've been in a marriage for 10 years and two kids. Ain't no managing no expectations. You done been around long enough expectations. You done been around long enough, now. You done been around long enough. You understand that you know women.
Starting point is 00:15:11 You done been around... Come on, now. Ring on the finger, relationship, title. Come on, now. So, let me ask you a question. Let's just say for the sake of argument, you married. Have a baby. You have a baby. Let's just say for the sake of argument, you married. Have a baby. You have a baby.
Starting point is 00:15:26 And then, you know, baby need blood or something. You ain't a match. Are you managing expectations? You're under the assumption that's your kid. Ain't no managing no expectations and no marriage. Maybe in a relationship. Maybe we dating. I should manage my expectations.
Starting point is 00:15:46 Ocho, I've been through all my expectations out the window. I've all been with your ass. Hey, that little Maury analogy you just gave right there? Yeah. We done seen it happen over the years. In this episode, I'm joined by Anjali Sood, CEO of Tubi, for a conversation that's anything but ordinary. We dive into the competitive world of streaming, how she's turning so-called niche
Starting point is 00:17:21 into mainstream gold, connecting audiences with stories that truly make them feel seen. What others dismiss as niche, we embrace as core. Starting point is 00:18:04 podcasts. In the fall of 1986, Ronald Reagan found himself at the center of a massive scandal that looked like it might bring down his presidency. Did you make a mistake in sending arms to Tehran, sir? No. It became known as the Iran-Contra affair. And I'm not taking any more questions in just a second. I'm going to ask Attorney General... I'm Leon Nafok, co-creator of Slow Burn.
Starting point is 00:18:39 In my podcast, Fiasco, Iran-Contra, you'll hear all the unbelievable details of a scandal that captivated the nation nearly 40 years ago, but which few of us still remember today. The things that happened were so bizarre and insane, I can't begin to tell you. Please do. To hear the whole story, listen to Fiasco Iran Contra on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. To four-month-old Marquise, you are not the father. Man, I'm going to tear up that hospital. I ain't going to even lie. Man, I'm going to when you're right.
Starting point is 00:19:26 I'm with you when you're right. But there's just been so many, so many situations. And I always think to myself is I try to be realistic. Even in all situations and put things into logical terms, you know,
Starting point is 00:19:42 and understanding that human error is inevitable. We all try to strive for perfection in all that we do. And many of us continue to always fall at times by the wayside, no matter how perfect we try to be. And I
Starting point is 00:19:56 always keep that way, way, way, way in the back of my head. All the way in the back. Way back. Just with understanding that as as great as individuals try to be as partners at times they make mistakes at times they do so even with that ojo even with that minor the fact that you've been in this relationship so long yeah thinking and right and you like how could it be because she's with me or she's at working but she's found a way to deceive me for it appeared even if it even if it's only for 30
Starting point is 00:20:34 minutes even if it's only for an hour let alone and here's the thing that gets a man when the woman steps out on him in the relationship because in in order for that woman to step out of that man, she feels something. Yeah. You see, unless a woman is a prostitute, she can't distinguish fuck from feeling. No, no, no. So there is an attachment to that guy.
Starting point is 00:20:56 Emotional attachment. Yes. A guy, when they say a guy will hit a snake, if you hold a head, he'll hit the wood pile that the snake in if he thought he was in there. That's how disaffected they are with that situation. But for a woman
Starting point is 00:21:12 to have a sexual relationship with a man and she's in a relationship or she's married Yeah. And that's what get it. Because you know, you know, you've been there. Yeah. Think about it.
Starting point is 00:21:27 Think about this. And obviously you've been a part of that circle, the elite, part of the 1%. You've heard the stories. You've heard the countless stories of these situations happening over and over and over. And one thing, I mean, retaining one thing I've never done throughout the years and anyone I was dealing with, I never thought I was that big of a person where it can't happen to me. Ever. Ever.
Starting point is 00:21:52 Ever. Ever. Ever. And one thing I've never done is I never put anything past anyone, no matter who it was. No matter how much I loved them. Never put anything past anyone. Human error is inevitable. Inevitable.
Starting point is 00:22:07 Yeah. And that's just the way I've always lived. And that mindset has always saved me from being hurt. Disappointed, yes. Disappointment, yes. Being hurt, no. Because here's the thing. See, women are not the thing. See,
Starting point is 00:22:27 women are not impulsive. Men are impulsive. See, a woman... Oh, yeah, strategic. She's going to call her girlfriends, hey, we're at the mall, go buy me something from Victoria's Secret. Now, she's going to buy you what? She's going to meet up with her girlfriend, get it, put that on for you with old dude to knock the hoops off.
Starting point is 00:22:43 Come on now, talk now. Now you found that out because she planned it. girlfriend, get it, put that on for you when old dude done knocked the poop off. Come on now, talk now. Now you found that out because she planned it. Call it meditation. See, women are not impulsive. Women are not impulsive. Three steps ahead. Always.
Starting point is 00:22:58 Because women are like cats. See, a cat can sneak up on you and rub on your lips. You go hear a dog, a dog will come, you go hear a dog a dog will come you hear his feet on the floor or you hear him pant can't sneak up on you rub on your leg where you come from so he done planned it yeah but you but you know all that and then when you find out then you find out yeah but but you listen one thing about it is and I can be honest we family chat
Starting point is 00:23:26 when you've been on the other end of the spectrum when you've been on the other end of the spectrum for so many years and you were a part of the planning you get where I'm going? stay with me
Starting point is 00:23:37 when you were a part of the planning that's being done then you're a little bit more seasoned you're a little bit more seasoned to understand when something ain't right yeah i'm trying i'm trying to take you there without really going there okay yeah are you are you picking up what i'm putting down okay i picked it up with me now
Starting point is 00:23:56 but but the chat understands i mean uh i'm sure uh the people in the chat i mean sometimes you know how guys are ain't nobody ever did this to me. I ain't never did. You the one. Yeah. Somebody probably got on right now. All right. Swinging from the chandelier
Starting point is 00:24:13 while you talking about it ain't happening. You up here talking to Ocho and I and somebody got him. Hey. Hip deep. But hey, that's the thing with a roast, Ocho, so if people know that, all your indiscretions.
Starting point is 00:24:30 Yeah, man. So, Tom Brady, a better man than me. Like I said, hey, one-on-one in the locker room, we with the boys. I'm the roast champ. Man, alive. Oh, that thing gonna be aired? Oh, dude. Ocho, the Cleveland Cavaliers won their first playoff series
Starting point is 00:24:50 without LeBron James since 1993, 106-94, and it wasn't easy. They came from 18 points down, the largest come-from-behind win in a Game 7 in NBA history. Excuse me. Donovan Mitchell, after following his 50 points in the game six loss, would not be denied. He had 24 of his 39 points in the second half.
Starting point is 00:25:11 Cleveland trailed by as many as 18 in the first half and by 10 at the half. The comeback was the largest in the game seven at least since 1998. Not ever since 1998. The Cavaliers will face the top seeded Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Semifinals, game one in Boston,
Starting point is 00:25:26 TD Garden on Tuesday. You know, I have a question. Again, your basketball knowledge is eons above mine. So when I think about the Cavs having to face the Celtics, for one, congratulations to the Cavs on winning
Starting point is 00:25:37 and what they were able to accomplish. Yeah. But do they match up well? Like when it comes to boxing, styles wins fights. Style of fighters wins fight depending on who's fighting. Obviously, it's the playoffs.
Starting point is 00:25:51 Do the Cavs even stand a chance? Even with what Donovan Mitchell was able to do, Wagner, Carter, some of those fellas. I mean, not too bad. Wagner, Franz Wagner did not play well. He was one for 15, 0 for 5. Suggs was 2 of 13, 2 of 10 from 3. Really, no one really played
Starting point is 00:26:11 well. Pablo Banqueiro, he was what? He wasn't efficient, but he got to the foul line. 35 and 16. He's the second youngest player to have a 35-15 game since Magic Johnson. Wendell Carter Jr.
Starting point is 00:26:28 But, dude, to answer your question... They only have a two-headed monster. They only got Garland and Mitchell. Yeah, and Garland hadn't played particularly well the last... He didn't play particularly well this series. It'll be interesting. Now, they're going to need more than Donald and Mitchell to go off. It would help
Starting point is 00:26:43 if they had Jared Allen. I don't know if he's coming back the next series. But him being out, that's the Twin Towers. He and Evelyn Mobley, they can block shots. They can alter shots. But without him being there, I don't know if they have – could they win a game? Yes.
Starting point is 00:27:00 Yes. Do I expect them to win the series? Absolutely not. Even with Chris Stafford Zingers being out, I just think Boston is too much. So they're going to shoot him out the gym then, basically. Basically. Basically. Look,
Starting point is 00:27:21 Strews will probably take, Okuru will probably take Tatum. Strews will probably take Okuru will probably take Tatum Strews probably will deal with Jalen Brown and then Garland will probably take I'm assuming he'll probably go take
Starting point is 00:27:38 Derek White because you want to save Donovan Mitchell he's your best offensive weapon if you don't want him expending a whole lot of energy on the defensive end. Right. So, I'm thinking who's going to start? Probably Big Al
Starting point is 00:27:51 will start in front of... Since Przingis is out, inevitably they'll deal with him. But I just don't see Cleveland having enough to deal with Boston. Damn. Well, hell, you might as well just...
Starting point is 00:28:08 Boston going to the... Might as well chalk this series up then, basically. But here's the thing, though. Everybody, you remember what happened last year? First play of the game. Jason Tatum shoots the ball in the game, seven against Miami. Tweaked that ankle, knee,
Starting point is 00:28:27 he wasn't the same, boom. So everybody, you're a superstar. Rolled ankle, tweak knee, something, and now it changes the entirety of the series. But I like Boston in the series, but give the Cavaliers and Donovan Mitchell, we know Donovan is big time. We've seen him go have 50-point games before.
Starting point is 00:28:49 I think he had 57 against the Nuggets. I think both of those 57-point games, he lost. Those 50-point games, he lost. Did he lose to the Nuggets when he dropped 57 on them in the bubble? Because I know he lost the other day, game six. But I think both of his 50-point playoff games, he's lost. I like it. I like it.
Starting point is 00:29:09 But they are moving on, and they will face the Boston Celtics. Tuesday, right? Game one, Tuesday. Okay. Hip off at TD Garden. I'm waiting on tomorrow. I mean, since we're on the topic of basketball, like, I'm locked in.
Starting point is 00:29:23 I'm waiting on tomorrow. I'm trying to see that young fella, man, down there in Minnesota, man. Man. Wait, they do play tomorrow, right? I'm not tripping. Oh, my goodness, man. Matter of fact, I like young bull.
Starting point is 00:29:39 I like young bull games so much. I'm probably going, and you know how I am about money. I'm probably going to and you know how I am about money, I'm probably going to take a trip to Minnesota. I'm probably going to take a trip to Minnesota and sit courtside just to watch Young Bull play. I got to see that in person at least once. And I hope it's one of those
Starting point is 00:29:56 four. I hope it's one of those 31, 43 point games. 43 point games. Yeah. Dang. So, Magic had a great season. They're a very, 43-point games. Yeah. So, Magic had a great season. They're a very, very young team. Van Carrow is going to be something special.
Starting point is 00:30:14 He's unbelievable. You see why Orlando took him number one overall. A 38-point effort. Second youngest guy to do a 38-15 game since Magic Johnson. That's saying something. Anytime it's you and Magic, you're in pre-elite company. Cavaliers move on. They face the Celtics on Tuesday
Starting point is 00:30:34 in game one. Now it's time for News Cap. We got graphics. There we go. I'll be panicking. We missed graphics one time, but we got the graphics. Willie Colon says Mike Tomlin is on the hot seat. The Steelers are 0-4 in the postseason dating back to 2017.
Starting point is 00:30:57 And the team's former offensive lineman, Willie Colon, thinks Mike Tomlin should be on the hot seat given those recent playoff struggles. The issue with Tomlin right now is he wins games he's supposed to win, but he loses games he shouldn't lose. And now Steelers Nation is frustrated because they're looking at the organization right now that is well above average, and then they lose bonehead games. I'm saying to myself, well, who are the Pittsburgh Steelers?
Starting point is 00:31:22 Are they the bullies or are they the dweebs right now? If you lost to the Patriots and the Cardinals, you look like dweebs. You like what Colon had to say? You agree with what he had to say? The only Willie Colon I know is a Spanish singer. Let's start there. So I'm trying to understand, Mr. Willie Colon, why his words and how he feels and what he's saying holds any weight.
Starting point is 00:31:47 Why it holds any weight. Now, Mike Tomlin, the whole point of everything you want to do as a head coach coming in is your end goal at the end of the day is a Lombardi trophy. Right? Correct. He hasn't had a quarterback. For one, let's start there. Ben Roethlisberger
Starting point is 00:32:07 was on the tail end. On the tail end, you got Mason Rudolph. You have Kenny Pickett. Things haven't worked out. So until you get a quarterback in-house, you understand how difficult it is to win games and get back to that historic winning franchise that you're used to unless you have a quarterback in place. So let's say they do fire Mike Tomlin. What happens next? If you still don't have your quarterback situation figured out, you're right back at square one. Going through the same shit, the same rigmarole as you were before mike town has been very good for the organization his resume and what he's done for them has it
Starting point is 00:32:53 speaks for itself so why willie cologne wants to come out and say some of the things he's saying now it matters not it matters not i think i think the is, Ocho, when prominent players play for an organization and they speak negative about the organization, it carries a little bit more weight than some casual. If you were to say something,
Starting point is 00:33:13 if you were to say something negative about Cincinnati, people are going to listen. Yeah, but I would never. I would never. But I'm just saying. Can I ask you a question? How did you just say that?
Starting point is 00:33:23 Just real quick. Yes. Now, I would be critical in certain aspects when things aren't going well. Have you ever been critical of the Ravens in general or the Broncos? I'm just curious. Mm-hmm. Absolutely. So, when you say someone spoke out against the Steelers, who are you referring to?
Starting point is 00:33:43 I'm talking about Willie Colon. I don't even know who that is. You see what I mean? What does that tell you? He's an offensive lineman. He played when you played. Yeah, man, I don't got no man. Tell Willie to go sit down somewhere, man.
Starting point is 00:33:54 Tell Willie to go sit down. I know Willie Parker. I know Willie Parker. I don't know no goddamn Willie Colon. Listen, he name don't hold no goddamn weight. No disrespect. Listen, I'm a Bengal fan at heart
Starting point is 00:34:07 taking up for the goddamn Steeler organization because I don't know who the hell Willie Colon is with this bullshit he talking about. You don't think Mike Tomlin should be on the hot seat? You know what? Okay. You know what? Putting him on the hot seat is okay. Let's put him on the hot seat. Okay, let's put him on a hot seat we have two
Starting point is 00:34:25 quarterbacks in in question we have justin fields and we have russell wilson we have a great supporting cast offensively nijay harris two receivers am i i don't you got you got to excuse me real quick is deontay johnson still there or is he gone? No, he's gone. He's in Carolina. He's in Carolina. So we got brother George Pickens. Who's on the other side of George? Don't start me a line.
Starting point is 00:34:53 I don't know. I didn't follow the draft, so I don't know if they drafted somebody or not. I really don't. I don't like that. Because if I can't ring off the receivers and supporting cast that Russell Wilson and Justin Fields have to work with, that's not a good thing. This is a passing league, so you're going to need catchers of the ball. Catchers of the ball that I actually have knowledge about and know about because it makes the quarterback job that much easier.
Starting point is 00:35:18 Whoever the offensive coordinator is with the Steelers, it makes his job easier. The better catchers of the pass, oh my easier. The better catchers of the past, oh my God, the better catchers of the ball that you have. I'm going to say receivers. I don't know why I keep saying that. Mm-hmm. Damn, man. Willie Colon. Come on, man.
Starting point is 00:35:38 Willie Colon, he making headlines. That's what happens. Look, me personally, Ocho, I try to stay away in the offseason because there's nothing happening. They just had the draft. You got OTAs.
Starting point is 00:35:52 You got training camp. Once the season starts, because a lot of times, Ocho, a lot of times, look, in this business, what we're in, a lot of time, people, analysts, prognosticators, whatever you want to call them, they want to be first.
Starting point is 00:36:09 Them being right, they want to be first. And so I'm going to base it on what I see over a period of time. Now, the standard is the standard for the Steelers. They expect to compete from Lombardi's. And they haven't been able to do that in a very long time. Now, Mike Tomlin is not the only coach that's been dealing with quarterback issues. And we hold those coaches accountable. So that's all I'm saying
Starting point is 00:36:40 is that we hold other coaches accountable for the play of the team. And I think, look willie can have his opinion and i don't want to speak for willie but i'm just saying like when i evaluate and you know cow bowler and when we had t-boy and we had some of the other quarterback i'm like bro and yeah it it probably hurt more because it came from me. It came from me. And so I know it probably, but they know at the end of the day, there's no malicious intent.
Starting point is 00:37:11 I'm just basically, because I got to do that, Ocho. I can't just criticize everybody else and then let the Ravens and the Broncos skate. See, but coming from you, it means something. It holds weight. Okay?
Starting point is 00:37:23 Based on your resume and what you've done. You have a gold jacket. So coming from you, it hits home. It stings a little bit, especially for those players that are there that play for the Ravens. Especially those players that are there that play for the Broncos. Now, that's no disrespect to Willie Colon. I played the game for a very long time. I played against the Steelers twice a year for a decade straight.
Starting point is 00:37:44 This individual that has said what he said about Mike Tomlin against the Steelers twice a year for a decade straight. This individual that has said what he said about Mike Tomlin and the Steelers organization, I have no clue or idea who the hell that is. And I mean that with all due respect. But with him with great understanding of knowing that you played the game and you understand the situations that are lacking in Pittsburgh, why say Mike Tomlin's on the hot seat when he doesn't have the adequate parts that are needed to compete for those Super Bowl titles like they have?
Starting point is 00:38:12 Which, if I'm not mistaken, they have six of them. Yes. The Steelers organization is unlike any other. They normally let the head coach leave on his own free will. That's why they've only had three in the last almost 60 years. They had
Starting point is 00:38:28 Chuck Nall, who left on his own, 92. They had Coach Cowher, who left on his own, and the heck of Mike Tomlin. So here is the situation. Normally the coaches leave on their own. The Steelers, they're not moved by fans booing and saying
Starting point is 00:38:43 fire this. They're not moved by. No. They're not going to let the fans bully them. A friend of mine in Pittsburgh, Ed Bouchette, people writing stuff into me. That's not how the Roonies, that's not how they move. They understand. See, they're football lifers. All they've ever done is football.
Starting point is 00:39:02 With the exception of a year since 1933, they've owned the team, had a year off, got it back. But for the most part, this is what they do. This is who they are. Now, they've had some brothers branch off and do the casino and the horse, things like that. But this branches of the Roonies, this is what they do. So they understand that it's not like a normal business that you have ebbs and flows
Starting point is 00:39:26 and then, you know, hey, get a new CEO. That's not how the Roonies. So the Roonies are not going to react say like a lot of other owners would when the fans become restless or they print negative or negative things are being written
Starting point is 00:39:42 or said about them in the paper. So. Starting point is 00:40:47 I'm Michael Kassin, founder and CEO of 3C Ventures and your guide on good company, the podcast where I sit down with the boldest innovators shaping what's next. In this episode, I'm joined by Anjali Sood, CEO of Tubi, for a conversation that's anything but ordinary. We dive into the competitive world of streaming, how she's turning so-called niche into mainstream gold, connecting audiences with stories that truly make them feel seen. What others dismiss as niche, we embrace as core. It's this idea that there are so many stories out there, and if you can find a way to curate and help the right person discover the right content, the term that we always hear from our audience is that they feel seen.
Starting point is 00:41:31 Get a front row seat to where media, marketing, technology, entertainment and sports collide. And hear how leaders like Anjali are carving out space and shaking things up a bit in the most crowded of markets. I'm going to ask... I'm Leon Nafok, co-creator of Slow Burn. In my podcast, Fiasco, Iran Contra,
Starting point is 00:42:31 you'll hear all the unbelievable details of a scandal that captivated the nation nearly 40 years ago, but which few of us still remember today. The things that happened were so bizarre and insane, I can't begin to tell you. Please do. To hear the whole story, listen to Fiasco, Iran Contra, on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Old joke, check this out. Touchdown Wire ranks the NFL top 36 quarterbacks.
Starting point is 00:43:14 We already know who number one was, so... Joe Burrow! Josh Allen was two. What? Joe Burrow was three. Yeah. Okay. Josh was two. Burrow was three. Herbert was two. What? Joe Burrow was three. Yeah. Okay. Josh was two.
Starting point is 00:43:26 Burrow was three. Herbert was four. C.J. Stroud, five. Stafford, six. Lamar, seven. Jordan Love, eight. Aaron Rodgers, nine. Trevor Lawrence is ten.
Starting point is 00:43:38 Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. Let me look at my notes. Let me look at my notes and rework. Chat, y'all stay with me, chat, and tell me if I'm wrong about reordering this list of quarterbacks. Now, number one is Patrick Mahomes. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. I didn't even read his name. Number one is Patrick Mahomes. Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder can see that.
Starting point is 00:44:01 Number two, to me, chat, despite the injuries number two and joe burrow okay then we can go josh allen yeah okay number four should be lamar jackson what are we doing what i mean all things being said i'm not so sure Lamar should be past two or three. Okay. Lamar Jackson should be next. Now, Justin Herbert, I love him to death. He's been in L.A. for, is this year four or year five coming up? Five. Five. I think it's five.
Starting point is 00:44:37 C.J. Stroud in one season has outplayed Justin Herbert. Chat, do you agree with me? Chat, let me know if you agree with me. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. So, C. agree with me? Chat, let me know if you agree with me. Yeah. Okay. So CJ Stroud should be four. Now, wherever you want to take it from there with everybody else,
Starting point is 00:44:55 that's on you. That's just my four picks based on what I've seen the past couple of seasons, and especially CJ Stroud's rookie season. Historic. I'll try. Yes, sir. Ocho, they got Justin Fields ranked in front of Russell Wilson.
Starting point is 00:45:11 You see what I'm talking about? You see what I'm talking about? Hold on. They got Deshaun Watson ranked behind J.J. McCarthy, behind Gardner Minshew, behind Will Levis, behind Jacoby Brissett, behind Drake May, behind Caleb Williams. Really? What are we doing? you behind Will Levis, behind Jacoby Brissett, behind Drake May, behind
Starting point is 00:45:25 Caleb Williams. Really? What are we doing? Why is Tua all the way at fucking... Oh, shit. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Why is Tua all the way at 18? So, what are they basing? What are they basing? What is touchdown? I'm not sure who touchdown... That's their list. They put a list together, Ocho, so don't start
Starting point is 00:45:42 me lying. Okay, I'm not going to start you lying, but let's, like, come on now. Like, this is how touchdown wire, you can lack credibility. When you have a list like this, that is all out of sorts. Chat, I know y'all agree with me, especially with my first four. As far as everybody else, after
Starting point is 00:45:57 four, I'm assuming it's based on preference, but you would want to use it based on stats and what those quarterbacks have done for their team. I want to know what they're basing it on because to have Trevor Lawrence in front of
Starting point is 00:46:13 Brock Purdy. Wait a minute. How is Brock Purdy and Jalen Hurts all the way... They got Kirk Cousins, who hasn't won a playoff game. I think he won one. He's won one. Okay who hasn't won a playoff game. I think he won one. He's won one. Okay, he's won one playoff game in front of Jalen Hurts, in front of Tua.
Starting point is 00:46:35 Dad, Kirk Cousins, Jared Goff. I think Goff is a little too high. He should be a little lower. Tyler Murray. Listen, come on now. Come on, touchdown wire. Come on, man. We got to do better now.
Starting point is 00:46:49 We got to do better. I'm not sure. I'm sure you have a great knowledge of the game of football, but this is ridiculous. This is ridiculous. I'm going to create my own goddamn chart. Go ahead.
Starting point is 00:47:03 We'll put it up. Houston, Texas revival has caught the j has caught jj was attention the three-time nfl defensive player of the year hasn't played since 2022 but if the texans head coach demico ryan gives him a call he's willing to consider coming out of retirement i told demico last year i said don't call unless you absolutely need it. But if you ever do call, I'll be there. And he knows not to call unless it's absolutely necessary. I like that. Matter of fact, I'm going to try that too.
Starting point is 00:47:35 I'm going to try that too. Since D'Amico, Ryan, and J.J. Watt have that type of relationship where if you really need me and you make that call, but make sure you really, really do need me, I'm going to try that with Zach Taylor. I'm going to try it with Zach Taylor. First of all, it ain't going to work. If you need some fresh legs in training camp,
Starting point is 00:47:55 you want to give T, you want to give Brother Burton, you want to give Chase a little rest, bring me in there. You want to give Tyler Borden? Yo ass O, ain't nothing on you French. to give Tyler Borden your plus? Your ass O. Ain't nothing on you, French. Who O? I have no wear and tear.
Starting point is 00:48:09 I have no wear and tear and I played it. You got age. Age is nothing but a number. Number. Yeah, and your number is higher than hell. I ain't number 56. I ain't number 56. You can't tell me I can't go play right now on third down. You mean to tell me I can't go on third and three? You put me in the slot. You think I can't number 56. You can't tell me I can't go play right now on third downs. You mean to tell me I can't go on
Starting point is 00:48:25 third and three? You put me in the slot. You think I can't toss somebody up right now? Aren't you playing Madden? Aren't you playing Madden? I'm talking about real life. No, I'm talking about real life. You play Madden on real life. What you don't even understand about me is what you don't get
Starting point is 00:48:41 to see in the offseason is I train with these fellas every year in the offseason as a DB with Jamar Chase, with Stephon. I cover them boys. So I know I'm still able and willing to move and cover, transition, stop, start right along with them. So if the opportunity presented itself because I'm in such great shape, even at 56, I know I can go out there and compete on special occasions, third downs. And I'd be an animal right now
Starting point is 00:49:13 for the Bengals right now. The only special occasion you competing for is Mother's Day, Father's Day, all the holidays. Those are the special occasions that you're going to be at. I don't like the fact that you don't believe in me. You know what you sound like?
Starting point is 00:49:27 You sound like my teacher in elementary school. She didn't believe in me either. She told me I would never amount to anything. Matter of fact, Mike Brown, Katie, Troy, twins, if you see this, please, if the opportunity presents itself, please just bring me into training camp. Just bring me into training
Starting point is 00:49:43 camp so you can see what I look like and you will notice even though a decade plus removed from the game of football I still look the same. I'm just as fast. Just give me a chance.
Starting point is 00:49:56 Give me a chance. Listen. Mike Brown. Bring your man and let him talk to the team. You saw the movie Rudy? They gave Rudy a chance? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:03 Give Ocho a chance. I won't let you down. Bring Ocho in. He's great. He can talk to the young man. Let him know what to expect in the NFL. Talk while I'm competing? Get them how to manage the money
Starting point is 00:50:16 and things of that nature. Do not bring Ocho in because Ocho cannot play in the NFL. That's a lie. When preparation meets opportunity, guess who shows up? Huh? When opportunity comes knocking,
Starting point is 00:50:29 guess who's going to answer the door? Me. Ha ha. You ain't. Listen, we can still do nightcap. We can still do nightcap. Because the Bengals play at 1 o'clock. I'll be able to get on after the game.
Starting point is 00:50:41 Ocho. Ocho. You can't play. I don't like thatcho You can't play I don't like that you I don't like that you saying that I don't like that you saying that It's okay You have Hey man you were up with
Starting point is 00:50:51 Hey You was here I'm still well That's what I'm talking about I'm still well I'm still well Hey I'm not Nah you pissing me off man
Starting point is 00:50:58 Real shit I can play man Bengals organization Zach Taylor Please Just bring me into training camp I just want to show up You can cut me Cut me after week one I just want to show up you can cut me
Starting point is 00:51:05 cut me after week one I just want to I just want to put some film together ain't nobody ain't nobody taking 10 years off from a sport
Starting point is 00:51:13 that's as physical as the game of football ain't going to go back out there you're not doing it you call that shit they doing out there right now physical
Starting point is 00:51:21 do you know who I play I played against the Steelers and the Ravens twice a year. That's physical. You can't even hit nobody today. You know what I had to do with no injuries.
Starting point is 00:51:35 And you can't go out there today. So that's evil. Look at this. Imagine this again on Sunday out there right now. What you talking about, baby? Let's go. Man, I thought that was all about... I thought that was all about...
Starting point is 00:51:48 Let's go. Now, you know what? They're going to bring me in just because of this. Just because you said I can't do it, they're going to bring me in just to prove you wrong. Ocho. Maybe, you know what? If you was like a year removed,
Starting point is 00:52:02 two years back, I'd say, you know what, Ocho? You're right. I've been hyping you up. I'd say, man, you need to give Ocho a chance. You talk about a year removed. I never removed myself from the NFL. I never stopped training. I've been training the past decade just in
Starting point is 00:52:15 case that call comes because you never know. I'm always prepared. I'm always ready. Let me ask you a question. How'd it come? That's because the opportunity to present itself because I didn't put myself out there.
Starting point is 00:52:27 It ain't going to present itself. It ain't presenting itself. It is. For the last decade, you've been waiting on a call. No, I didn't say it. I didn't say I was waiting on the call. I said I didn't put myself out there
Starting point is 00:52:39 to let them know that, you know what, my services are available like J.J. Watt. You know what I'm saying? I made the call. You ain't put yourself out there but I made the call. I'm making the call right now because they're
Starting point is 00:52:52 going to see this. They're going to see this. No, we're going to edit this out. What the fuck? Hey, that's funny. They're not going to see this. I bet the chat i bet no chat don't believe in you no no chat chat don't believe you no uh mclaren driver add his name to list the formula one race winners uh with a sensational breakthrough
Starting point is 00:53:22 victory sundays at miami grand prix overhauling red bulls robber max that was nice um my experience obviously i went to f1 uh with the missus it was it was awesome uh i thought i didn't go saturday i thought sunday would be the best the best best thing for me to get there and watch the race being my second time going to f1 i was able to attend it last year. This year, on behalf of Heineken, everyone at Heineken, I thank you for the opportunity. I thank you for the hospitality. Nick Christ, who's the head of Global Partnerships at Crypto.com. Paul Horgan, who's a partner at Ryan Sports. I appreciate you guys for the hospitality and taking the time out to talk to me.
Starting point is 00:54:07 I enjoyed it. I enjoyed it. When I saw it, I think it might have been lap 47, when I saw Brother Norris had almost a four or five second lead. I knew at that point he was winning because there were only 11, 12 laps to go.
Starting point is 00:54:21 The atmosphere, I'm not sure if you ever attended F1 before. The energy, the atmosphere is energetic. The fans are engaged throughout the entire time, especially when someone makes a good pass. And the excitement from the fans and the clapping and the cheering
Starting point is 00:54:37 is phenomenal. So if you haven't attended F1, you have to do it. That was my third time. Obviously, I went to F1 in Miami last year. I was able to go in Vegas. Who? Thank you again. Also to Las Vegas, the Las Vegas, Las Vegas tourism. I can't remember the name exactly, but I thank you all for that for that opportunity and that experience. But F1 was phenomenal oh it was phenomenal man i it yeah i think they call it a rich man sport and when you're in that atmosphere
Starting point is 00:55:11 and you win it and you're in that environment i i feel a little uh uncomfortable you know because i you can see you can you can smell the money if if you know what i mean you got i'm not sure how many cars on the track 20 $20 million a car. I had someone explaining to me the prices of the cars. Unc, the engine by itself is like by 100 grand. Come on, man, what are we doing? Somebody wrecked out there, Unc. And the first thing I said,
Starting point is 00:55:38 that's $20 million down the drain. That's what it takes about a year to run those cars, about $20 million. The steering wheel is $100,000. What are we doing? And the tires, you think about
Starting point is 00:55:52 how many sets of tires they go through in the course of a year and how you build those cars to dissipate. So they basically disintegrate, take all that energy
Starting point is 00:56:04 away from the driver yeah I was going to go Ocho but I got I'm I'm all over the place the next 10 days so I was like ain't no way I can do Miami because I already got to do Philly Indy Atlanta New York Houston all in the next 10 days
Starting point is 00:56:20 if you need me to come with you man I have no problem I you know keep you company and you know I could be right there on your side as your biggest support and biggest cheerleader. So if you need me, let me know. I got Miles, Spirit, Flyers, all the places that you just mentioned. And I won't hesitate. Well, I think next week you're going to be in New York with me. What are we doing in New York?
Starting point is 00:56:43 Well, that's news to me. You're breaking the news to me. What are we doing in New York? That's news to me. You're breaking the news to me. What are we doing in New York? Well, I guess they've been talking to Rail. Rail? I'm sure Rail will fill you in. Wait, this is Nightcap, Unc and Ocho. How you just adding a third party?
Starting point is 00:56:58 Featuring Rail. Look at this one here. She was in the streets. She's just coming in the streets with her girls. We're going to New York. Hey. Yeah. Well, Larelle, how you doing?
Starting point is 00:57:12 How was F1 today? I had to bring him along, but it was a hit. Yeah.
