Yeah, man, he hit me right there on that spot, right above my knee, right in my patella, and he ruptured it. Oh, man, I just thought you had a few vibes.
Starting point is 00:07:26 Man, I'm down bad over here, man. Yeah. Listen, I got some, I got some really, you got some really- Come on over to the Old Man Club, Joe. Sit your ass down. Hey, you heard me, Joe? Joe, you can hear me?
Starting point is 00:07:41 Joe done froze up. What you got, Joe? Yeah. That's me and y'all. Hey, you froze up. What you got on Joe? Yeah. That's me and y'all. Hey, you froze up. Using that dial-up over there. Hey, you gotta chill, chill, chill, chill. What's going on?
Starting point is 00:07:51 What's up, man? What, hey, like Drake say, what did I miss? What did I miss? Just a lot of fun, just a lot of fun. Listen, I got some home remedies for you to speed up. Expert like that, recovery if you need. What you got? You told me about the onion.
Starting point is 00:08:04 Yeah, I got onions, garlic. you got some big, big oil? Got all that. Okay, you got some witch hazel? Got that too. And got some peroxide. Okay, I'm gonna text you what to do is you gotta mix it, you gotta mix it all together and you gotta drink it. You gotta put some lemon in it.
Starting point is 00:08:21 Whoa, whoa, whoa, you gotta do what? You gotta drink it. You gotta put some limit in it. Whoa, whoa, whoa, you gotta do what? You gotta drink it. Joe, you'll meet an untimely demise if you drink witch hazel and Brock's. You're not putting that in my, you only, hey listen, Joe, listen to me, Joe. Listen to me. Listen, stay with me real quick, Joe.
Starting point is 00:08:39 There's a reason I've never been injured. 57 years of life and I've always been active, playing a barbaric sport and still very active. Have yet to be injured. 57 years of life and I've always been active playing a barbaric sport and still very active have yet to be be injured. Joe I'm telling you I know what I'm talking about. What you talking about? They table, table, tablespoon, table, tablespoon each. We're talking about it off the show. I get you right. A lot of times a lot of times, Joe people don't be into it never get into a car accident until they get into
Starting point is 00:09:04 that one and they go and they go home. Don't you fool with Ocho. I'm here to help you baby, that's it. Okay. Yeah, okay. So how's the summer been Joe? Other than that, dang Joe, I'm so sorry to hear that because man, as we start to, Joe, I said, man, I'm so, I'm, I'm, I'm so sorry to hear that because man, as we start to age, Joe, man,
Starting point is 00:09:28 we ain't really trying to have no surgeries unless it's absolutely positively an emergency. And man, you're like, man, I'm out here doing something I love. Yeah, I'm, I, hey, I'm finna hang this thing on up, guys. I'm gonna let y'all have this moving forward. Now you can't, you can't end up, you gotta come back strong next year,
Starting point is 00:09:44 you gotta come back strong next year. You gotta come back strong next year. Hey, man. That's a long rehab. Man, I don't know what's going on. Like my bad, y'all. Yeah, I'll be right. Yeah, we ain't trying to do all that, man, listen. I'm like, boy, look, every time I replay it in my head, I get pissed out.
Starting point is 00:10:06 Yeah. I've never heard of it. I've never heard of getting need, eruption of patella is normally a sudden, you know, a hard plant or sudden, you know, one way or another, but you got need for an eruption. That's what the docs said. It don't never happen. Like they said, normally your legs just kind of give out.
Starting point is 00:10:26 And when you rupture your patella, I'm like, oh man, this was contact. Yeah. He said that though. He said it normally don't happen like that. Oh, but no. Gotta keep moving. I've seen some guys rupture.
Starting point is 00:10:40 You gotta keep moving, Joe. Gotta keep your head up. It's tough, baby Joe, it's tough because you're an active person. You like doing Pilates, I mean, yoga, Pilates, you like shooting basketball, and now you're athletic. Now you non-mobile for about six months. Yeah, yeah, you right.
Starting point is 00:10:58 So it's not weight-bearing. It's a slow process. Six months? It's a slow process. Oh yeah, that's not weight-bearing. Yeah, they say it's eight to 10 months to get back to feeling confident, It's a slow process. Oh yeah, that's not weight bearing. Yeah, they say it's eight to 10 months to get back to feeling confident.
Starting point is 00:11:09 But yeah, I'm gonna be laid up for a little minute. Man. Yeah. I come on down to Atlanta, man. You can prop your leg up. We hit Magic City, man. Get some wings. Come on, man.
Starting point is 00:11:25 Come on, Ojo. Y'all can let y'all have that. Don't call me. We hit Magic City, man. Get you get some wings. Come on, man. Come on. Y'all gonna let y'all have that. Don't call me. I'm blocking everybody. I'm blocking. Hey, as a matter of fact, I'm about I'm about to block both of y'all now. Hold on. Let me get on my phone
Starting point is 00:11:37 right quick. Hold on. I will make sure y'all can't get in touch with me. Hey, hey, hey. I ain't going to do that now. Oh, come on. Hey, hey, you gotta stop making like that now. Oh, come on, hey, listen, listen, listen, listen. We listen, listen. We got to live. We got to live. We got to live.
Starting point is 00:11:52 All right, now what we can't do, what we can't do is we can't go in no, we can't go in no turtle shell now. Come on now. No, I don't wanna live. Come on now. Yeah, but, but y'all know how it is man. Like I said, Joe, I am sorry to hear that man. Um Ocho is Ocho is
Starting point is 00:12:09 being Ocho. He everybody he want to fight Andre Ward. No, he want to he want to rap against this one. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He want to do all that. Hey, Joe. Hey, Joe. So, uh Clarissa, Clarissa said if she fights Layla Ali, uh depending on where that they got they got some venues in place. She said she gonna put me on the undercard and I get the, me and Andre Ward get to go at it. We get the thump.
Starting point is 00:12:33 What'd you think about that? Man, I'm gonna come check you out, old Joe. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, my dog. Hey, I'm gonna come see you. I'm gonna come check you out. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Hey, hey, hey, hey, Joe, you gonna be shocked, Joe. You gonna be shocked.
Starting point is 00:12:49 You know, Joe, I'm gonna show you the world, man. You gonna tighten them things up a little bit? Hey, yo, hey, Joe, boy, I look good, but Joe, I'm smooth, you hear me? Joe, I'm smooth, man, like butter. Like butter, I'm telling you, like Parquet. Hey, you gonna be surprised. I'm gonna surprise on too,
Starting point is 00:13:04 because everybody so focused on what I look like four or five years ago when I fought. Not understanding, I done been in the ring trying to perfect that craft for the sweet science for the longest. Once you get in the groove or something, and you understand how to take that chaos and control it in that structuring environment
Starting point is 00:13:20 and just stay relaxed, when it's done right, it's a beautiful thing, Joe. Chad, do me a favor. Go watch Andre Ward when he interviewed Roy Jones and he's saying how he fought and things like that. Just go watch him. Watch him. Hold on. Why I been watching Andre Ward since he was a shorty? I know. Boxing is my love, my sport. What you talking about? That don't mean he can't get lumped up by me. No, no, no, no, no. A professional probably could have lumped him up. Right, right, right. The likelihood, the likelihood of a guy coming off the street,
Starting point is 00:13:55 lumping Andre Ward up even at his right age and he hadn't fallen. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Hey, I like, hey, I like, hey, Joe, I like that. Unc is doubting me. Unc reminded me of my teachers in high school when they told me. And you gotta realize, Ocho, he your size. Who? He walks around at your size. I'm like two-two right now, he's not my size. I'm gonna have to cut weight, I'm gonna have to cut weight.
Starting point is 00:14:18 Yeah, the only thing gonna get cut is your ass if you get in the room with Andre Ward. Hey, Joe, check this out. Let's check this video of Ocho in the gym this morning. Take a look at this. Yeah, good 220 right there, boy. Okay. Got them slugs, you know?
Starting point is 00:14:36 Yeah. Give him a trap, right? Give him a trap. Give him a trap. Look like a praying mantis with a tank top on. Hey, hey, hey, Joe. You got, oh look, I'm just trying to figure out why you got a beater on with sweatpants,
Starting point is 00:14:55 a bag ass sweatpants. Cause my legs was cold. My leg, cause that gym, the gym I was in, it got AC on, but today was upper body. So I was working my upper extremity. So I just want to make sure my legs was comfortable. Ocho, keep going, bro. You're supposed to stay covered up, Ocho.
Starting point is 00:15:14 I wanted to show it off a little bit, because I wanted to tease D-Bo. I wanted to tease D-Bo. I sent him a little message. Hey, Joe, I sent D-Bo a little message, and I played the Steelers theme song that they always play in the middle of the game. It's called Renegade by Styx.
Starting point is 00:15:26 You know, so I just want to let Devo know is I'm working. I'm working and he laughed at me on Instagrams. He laughed. I'm like, he laughed and he think it's funny. And I told him it's really going to be funny when my fist gets stuck to your frontal lobe like a magnet. That's what's going to be funny. Yeah, I'm going to fuck his ass up.
Starting point is 00:15:44 What's up, boy. Yeah, I'ma fuck his ass up. What's up, boy? Hey! What's happening? That was your- Welcome in Pro Bowl tight end, Kyle Pitt. Kyle, how you doing, bro? Doing good, how you doing?

Starting point is 00:17:15 We go behind the scenes and explore the stories of those involved. San Diego coming to MLS is going to be a game changer because this region has been hungry for a men's professional soccer team. We need veteran players and we need young players. Like, you're building a team from scratch, and so the succession plan of long-term success needs to be defined. We need to embrace this community. When I was 13, my uncle took me to a qualifier,
Starting point is 00:17:41 and we watched Paraguay against Chile, pouring rain, just watching the fans jumping up and down. I think that was definitely a watershed moment for me. Not only was that going to be my game, but it was going to be my life. Listen to San Diego FC Behind the Flow. Now on the iHeartRadio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Get fired up y'all. Season two of Good Game with Sarah Spain is underway. We just welcomed one of my favorite people and an incomparable soccer icon, Megan Rapinoe to the show and we had a blast. We talked about her recent 40th birthday celebrations, co-hosting a podcast
Starting point is 00:18:22 with her fiance Sue Bird, watching former teammates retire and more. Never a dull moment with Pino. Take a listen. What do you miss the most about being a pro athlete? The final. The final. And the locker room. I really, really, like you just, you can't replicate, you can't get back. Showing up to the locker room every morning just to sh** talk. We've got more incredible guests like the legendary Candace Parker and college superstar A.Z.
Starting point is 00:18:50 Fudd. I mean, seriously, y'all, the guest list is absolutely stacked for season two. And you know, we're always going to keep you up to speed on all the news and happenings around the women's sports world as well. So make sure you listen to Good Game with Sarah Spain on the iHeartRadio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Presented by Capital One, founding partner of iHeart Women's Sports. It's Ocho and Joe, Iso Joe joining us tonight, man.
Starting point is 00:19:15 Okay, appreciate y'all having me. How y'all doing? We're doing amazing. I'm gonna get right into it. Michael Pinnix Jr. Unprompted, not from the reporters, not by anybody encouraging. The first thing out of his mouth,
Starting point is 00:19:29 hey man, y'all saw KP? There'll be a lot more of that today. What happened today for people that weren't at camp, that didn't get an opportunity to see, what has Michael Pinnix Jr. so excited that he started off his press conference, mentioning Kyle Pitt. Obviously it's day one, first day camp, you know, the emotions is high. We had a pretty good day as an offense, just juggling and moving the ball down
Starting point is 00:19:58 the field and you know, as a tight end, it's always great to be a safety blanket for these quarterbacks to be somebody he relies on. So for him to have that confidence in me is amazing. Go ahead. I was going to say, I hope Zach Robinson, right? That is officer coordinator. Yes. Yes, sir. Listen, I'm hoping Zach Robinson can get back to put you well, obviously, I don't think he was there. He was there your rookie year, but get you back to doing what you do best. Understanding what you did at Florida that you can still do in NFL.
Starting point is 00:20:29 There are so many mismatches that you can create based on what you can do and your unique skillset. When we talk about the tight ends in NFL, top five, you were supposed to be in that conversation based on what you could do. After rookie season, you had a thousand yards, obviously due to injury, there have been some minor setbacks, but this is a year for you to get back
Starting point is 00:20:48 to what you're known for. And that's being a stellar playmaker, regardless of what's around you, regardless of who's in front of you. And I'm hoping brother Robinson does everything he can to put you back in position and make the plays that I know you can make. Because not only is it gonna help you
Starting point is 00:21:02 and build your confidence, but it's gonna make brother Michael Penning Jr. Also his confidence and be that quarterback number one that the Falcons have been in search of since Mike Ryan has been gone. Sure, sure. Well, how difficult is it? You have the outstanding rookie year as Ocho mentioned over 1000 yards. There hadn't been very many tight ends to come in as a rookie and get 1000 yards. Now you get that so the
Starting point is 00:21:28 expectations are through the roof because you know you're high draft pick and you come out like gangbusters and then injuries then quarterback turnover how difficult is it to take stay positive when your quarterback there's a quarterback carousel and the injuries starting them out? I mean obviously everybody has a different path and I think mine is pretty unique just obviously it being my fifth year and it being my fifth quarterback but I've learned something from everyone from Matt to Marcus to Desmond to Taylor from Kirk I mean everybody brings something special to the table and just to learn a lot. And now this be my first year of having someone from the previous year as a quarterback and
Starting point is 00:22:09 you know, growing the continuity over the summer, working out together, getting those routes in. It's amazing to see it and you know, just to grow that relationship with him just to, you know, work in this time during camp on the way to game one. K.P. What's up, bruh? You know it. It's Joe, man. Go ahead, Joe. Go ahead. What's up, Rush? You know what? It's Joe, man. Go ahead, Joe. Go ahead.
Starting point is 00:22:27 What's up, Big Duller? How you doing? Man, chillin', chillin'. Man, what's your expectations on the Falcons this year, on the season, this upcoming season? First, I won't go as far as expectations because we taking it in, we're about progression. Just first, healthy camp.
Starting point is 00:22:44 Everybody get out of this healthy, and then getting ready for week one and just trying to stack as many wins as we can the first year that we were we were by progression. You know, just first, right? You can't everybody get out of this healthy and then, you know, getting ready for week one and just trying to stack as many wins as we can because obviously Atlanta is a hard fan base. It's a it's a city
Starting point is 00:22:55 that is very passionate about their sports. So, it's a for sure and just to be able to we want to get back to, you know, having my city has been rocking which we have there but you know, we have some different things up in the road, but you hear that, you know, we're coming together and we all bought in a second year system. So now, you know, we got the opportunity to take it to the next step.
Starting point is 00:23:13 Hey, you would it be in a second year in the system? How comfortable are you with the offense where you don't have to think anymore? You can hear the play call, you go out there and you can just line up based on what that means in front think anymore. You can hear the play call, you go out there, and you can just line up. Based on what that means to be in front of me, you can just go without having to think. Yeah, very confident. Like I said, it's year two. We've been working in the summer just mentally and physically.
Starting point is 00:23:36 So it's just, you know, so now we're here in camp, we're not taking a step back. We just, now we're just going against the defense and there'll be pads on next week and going into joint practice and, you know, into the preseason. So things like that is big for us. Kyle, having played the position that you played,
Starting point is 00:23:54 and I don't know if people understand this, but when you injured, you are a move tight end. Line you up outside the numbers, they'll put you in motion, they'll put you in the slot, you'll line up top, they'll put you in the backfield. But when you're injured, it's hard. Man, I just wanna get, hey, I just wanna get somewhere and just go.
Starting point is 00:24:12 All this, I can't, cause I can't do it. And it's, and you know, you know what, like, my body just, it's not giving me what I want. But because the fans have seen what you're capable of, they don't understand that body the mind is willing but the body just ain't able right now. Yeah I mean obviously but everyone goes through injuries some people don't but in my specification of having the knee and just different small small gains is it's just a testament of what's going to happen this year
Starting point is 00:24:41 and I'm excited for what's going to happen gonna happen and how we're growing as an offense and how we're gonna take the next step. So we got some games, we're gonna start week one with Tampa, divisional game. And go out there and try and get first win and just keep building them and hopefully win our division and then taking it step by step from there. I have one question. How much, I don't wanna call it it, I don't want to say power, but most of the time it's called power to me.
Starting point is 00:25:07 When a player can go to an officer coordinator, can go to a head coach and ask to do more. Are you healthy enough or is your body back in a state where you can ask Coach Robinson, listen, I need you to put me in different positions to be able to make plays because if you put me out here at receiver, it's a mismatch.
Starting point is 00:25:24 If you put me in motion, it's a mismatch. Is your body, is the knee at a point now where you can do a multitude of things offensively to open up the playbook and also for you? 100% and just mentally being able to play faster. That's a big thing. When you hear the plays, be able to break the huddle and play fast.
Starting point is 00:25:41 So definitely being the best asset to this offense is the goal. Cause there's a bunch of playmakers on this offense from, you know, Drake, Bijan, Mooney, Ray Ray, I mean, everybody, you know, we can spread everybody out and then, you know, you go nickel and then we're running it. You know, Tyler, so we got the one, two punches and just we're able to definitely take that take that load for sure. I like it. Did you hear, I like it. Did you hear because of the injury, because of some lack of production, there was rumor swirling possibly cow pits might be on the move. How did you stay in the moment? How did you like, I'm here right now. If and when that were to arise that I'm somewhere else, I'll deal with that then. But how did you stay present in the moment? Because people say, oh, I don't think, it's hard.
Starting point is 00:26:26 Bro, you talking about me. You know, unless there's another cow pits I don't know about. But in the meantime, you talking about me, I'm cow pits and I hear all of this going on. How were you able to stay focused, stay present and says, you know what, if it happens, it happens. But in the meantime, I'm here.
Starting point is 00:26:43 I mean, I'm very much deep in my faith. So I know what God has planned for me, but most important is like, it happens, but in the meantime, I'm here. I mean, I'm very much deep in my face. So I know what God has planned for me. But most important is like, those people have a job and fans are fans for a reason. They can't do what we do. So they don't really know me. I know the player I am and I know the bumps and the bruises and the different things we've had to go through in these past couple years. But it's, everybody has their time, and, you know, I feel like my moments coming.
Starting point is 00:27:05 Oh, yeah. Hey, Kari, y'all. Y'all open up here in Atlanta against Tampa? Yes, sir. Man, I got to come check out. Hey, Joe, let me go to the game with you. Say less. Oh, what's up? What you trying to do? All right, all right, all right. We just got back on track. you. Say less., man. Okay, y'all heard it, y'all heard it. I'll make sure y'all good, y'all in the house.
Starting point is 00:27:45 Y'all got everything set up. Bet I heard that thing be rocking, though, KP. I ain't gonna lie to you now, PNB. I heard it be rocking, the food be banging. I mean, and they got this, you get, what is it? A hot dog, I don't need no glizzies, though. I gotta come up with something else. But you get a pretzel, a big large soda, fries,
Starting point is 00:28:03 and all the food is like, except accept alcohol is like all you could eat for like a certain price. We got one of the best owners in the business, Mr. Blank is great. Oh yeah, Mr. Blank, yes. He's a great man, and he makes it affordable for everybody, and you know, it's a great time. It's only one way to, you know, taste for yourself.
Starting point is 00:28:18 You gotta come see it. Yeah. You know, so I'm gonna, yeah. We gonna have to get him to the bed. We gotta get him to the bed. Hey, hey, hey, hey, let me ask you this though. Does preseason count? Can I come to a preseason game?
Starting point is 00:28:28 Nah, nah, uh, nah. Nah, you don't even, you don't even like sitting there watching preseason. Hey, hey. Nah, I would be. Hey Kyle, I got a question, right? Do you understand the seriousness, which I've just learned, and I would, this is long after I'm done playing. You understand the seriousness, which I've just learned. And I would, this is long after I'm done playing.
Starting point is 00:28:46 You understand the seriousness between the Falcons and the Sears rivalry? At first I didn't really, if I'm being honest. You didn't, see me too. At first I did and I didn't really understand that, the hatred. It's not like a dislike. Right.
Starting point is 00:29:00 It's a hatred. And it's like, that's kind of like Georgia Rose Florida. You know, that game, it don't matter if you dinged up, you find a way to get in that field. You know, that's a robbery game. It's gonna be down to the last, you know? And thanks to the great team, and I feel like, you know, each year it's a fight.
Starting point is 00:29:19 So to be able to go down, and Caesars Dome is loud too. They're fast, especially when we come into town. So it's like vice versa when they come up here and they're fan-based, travels heavy, and it's a very competitive game. Yeah. Kyle, let me ask you this. When you look at it, the way you started,
Starting point is 00:29:41 and now you see all these guys, they got to make brides that come in, and they got the Hockensons, and they got the Laportas, now you see all these guys they got to make brides that come in and they got the Hockensons and they got the Laportas and they got all these guys and don't seemingly that whoa whoa what happened to what happened to Pete? Y'all ain't talking about me no more. Y'all know I've been that boy I've been him I just been Nick Dug so y'all just go look over me. That's okay that's all right. It's not too many people who have perfect careers, you know, so when I get back on the map,
Starting point is 00:30:11 other things are doing the thing, I gotta do what I need to do first though. Right. Right. You said today that you're not paying attention to any outside noise. I don't read that rap poison. I don't get on Twitter and I don't listen to the bots
Starting point is 00:30:22 who can't come out here in 90 degree weather and come and do what I do Expand on the rap poison because that was coach Sabres one of his favorite say I like that for that part you get a little praise or you get some negativity and It festers. Yeah, okay Yeah, even though I didn't go to Alabama that was something that just watching him and I had a couple buddies go to Alabama That was something that you know, they would say that he's big one and I had a couple buddies go to Alabama. That was something that they would say that he's big on. So I never really, like I said, I don't read it
Starting point is 00:30:47 because they can't come out there in the heat of the moment and hear a play call and game on the line, people screaming, you can't hear the snap count and go out there and perform. So it's like, I don't really value that at all. And you guys know those athletes, they're on the sidelines for a reason. They just, you know, they're invested
Starting point is 00:31:03 because they bet now. You know, so it's like, we know what it is to go out there, run across that middle for a quarter, catch that ball and move the sticks. Right, right. The reports, now I don't know if this is true, but this is what's being reported, that you're being used, they see you more
Starting point is 00:31:18 with the receiver group than with the tight end group. It's a plan. That's what being reported. I don't know, I ain't there. Like you said, I can't do what you do, Pierce, no more. I can't come out there at 90 degrees. Not even with an umbrella and some Gatorade. I can't be out there in that heat.
Starting point is 00:31:38 Me and heat don't get along anymore. Not no more, not no more. But you had your day when it was your day. You had your tour days, you know. Luckily, we won't have those no more. We won't have those no more. Not no more. But you had your day when it was your day. You had your tour days. You know? Luckily, we won't have those no more. We won't have those no more. But yeah, it's going to be, it's a plan. Follow behind Coach Morrison, you know, what Raheem and, you know, of course, Z-Rob has
Starting point is 00:31:58 definitely put together for me for this camp and just entering this year. It's big on just, you know, like I said, buying in and, you know, trusting what they have. And, you know, it's, it's, I would say hybrid won't, won't, won't say, you know, specific position. Definitely. The more you can do it, the better you are. I love it. I love it. I, I, listen, I'm predicting, I can do this. You ain't got to say none. I'm predicting 13 hundred and ninety-eighties. I'm telling you. I'm telling you, I'm telling you what it's gonna look like this year. So what's the, so what's the, what's the prize? We'll talk about it. Yeah, yeah, we'll talk about it. Just call me. I got you. I got you.
Starting point is 00:32:37 Hey, Pizz, I'm gonna put you on the spot. I'm gonna put you on the spot. Give me your top five tight ends of all time. You study position, you played the position. And keep it a stack, keep it a stack. If I ain't in the top five, I'm cool with that, I'm cool. Like you said, I'd have my time. There was a time I was in the top five, if I'm not now, but I wasn't. Well, 100%, no, I never get into specific numbers
Starting point is 00:33:01 because everybody be like, oh, you missing this person. It's really just who you kind of model your game after. So my final, no specific order would be definitely you, Tony G, Mike Dick, who was the start. Before, I would say Jason Wayne is someone who I feel like in high school, when I really started to learn about the tight end position. And he wasn't maybe the fastest, but he knew how to beat you mentally
Starting point is 00:33:28 So cuz I learned him from a guy named Lee Smith who you know, he may be older but they're they're beached to the spot but uh Mmm. Yeah, Tony G you like they could Jason and I'm gonna have to go. I'm gonna have to go give Travis his followers. He the best doing it right now. He the best doing it. It was between him and him and George, the one they, like one A1B runner. They definitely setting the precedent
Starting point is 00:33:51 for how to play the position and how to win at that position. I was definitely, you know, love watching them on film. Yeah, watching you play, you kind of remind me of myself. The speed guy, we did a lot of our damage outside and in the slot. I ain't really trying to bang like that, but I had to block a little bit more than you had.
Starting point is 00:34:09 You had to block. But I think Gates, you move, Gates wasn't that fast, but man, Gates knew how to get open his catch touchdown. I'm like, how does Mo'Fo get any touchdowns like this? That's what I couldn't understand. It's smart, and that's what I'm saying. Like, you know, me putting the win in in my top five,
Starting point is 00:34:24 I really had Gates see in my top five, cause that's who really, saying like, you know me putting the wind in him a top five I really had gatesy in my top five because that's who really you know him in LA when he's playing with You know Dane Thompson. So that was watching when I was getting into a watching, you know different tight ends Like man, how do you score all these? How this man got a hundred and seventeen hundred eighteens for a tight end. That's unheard of. Y'all gonna have to get on the ball. Cause that break is gonna be that long time if somebody don't get on the ball. You don't think nobody gonna get there
Starting point is 00:34:51 on the way they throwing that ball now? Tight ends don't score like that, man. That's what they would do. Yeah, seven teams in an anomaly, I feel like. That's- Yes! You had you some games in the red zone where you was hot. You had you you had you some games in the red zone where you get you was hot You had you some string of games where you 10 plus
Starting point is 00:35:09 short But here's the thing think about he had LT. I Mean he went to three LT went three years LT has 69 touchdowns in three years. Do you know they get yes It's so for a tight end, there've only been two tight ends that have over a hundred TDs in a career. That's a gonzo engaged. So in a hundred and hundred plus year history,
Starting point is 00:35:35 105, 106 year history, they're only two tight ends to put up those kinds of numbers. And Les Hawkinson and La Porta and McBride and Kittle, you get on the ball, man, it's hard to score down there because like you said, he could score. I was a guy that get yards. I lead the game with 150, 160 yards with no touchdown. Man, that joke have like 88 yards with three touchdowns. Right.
Starting point is 00:36:05 Right. Sometimes it go that way. Yeah, you got to think. You got to remember Antonio Gay's skill set too now. They get down to that goal line. They get him out there wide. That basketball background coming
Starting point is 00:36:16 to play. Yep. Man, listen, his lateral movement, he move in short areas. His releases is like a damn receiver. Hey, how long? What was his career length? How long did he play, y'all? Yeah, I think he played 16. the short areas. His releases when I was coming out. Yeah. That was somebody about three weeks ago. I think Rooster was in Denver too.
Starting point is 00:36:45 Mm-hmm, yep. Okay, yeah. 100%. Yeah. Was Wade Harmon there when you got there? Who was your position coach when you first got there? His name was Justin Peele. Okay.
Starting point is 00:36:57 Justin Peele? Mm-hmm. That name sound familiar, I think he played. Yeah, he played here in Atlanta. Okay, okay, okay, yeah. I thought that name sound familiar. I think he played. Yeah he played here in Atlanta. Okay okay okay yeah I thought that name sound familiar. You're 100% healthy, you're raring to go. Ocho tried to put some numbers on you. What is health the precursor? Because I know you look I don't want to put you on the spot and say okay give us a stat total where you say 100 and 1200 yards and this. Health is the precursor
Starting point is 00:37:24 and then everything else will fall into place after that. Is that how you approaching it? Not at all. Well, you know, one, once I got back to, you know, last year and in, in this off season feeling great, that's the last thing in my mind. Now it's just, like I say, playing fast mentally, physically, being able to get to my spot and you know, being the best asset for Mike. So when I do, when I do get my opportunities and first, you know, first, second down, third down ball, come my way, we moving the chain.
Starting point is 00:37:46 We getting yanked, that's the big thing. Yank and putting that shoulder down, get across that goal line, move the chains, be more valuable for this offense. Yeah, yeah, Unc you heard that, rise up. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, we got this. We got this.
Starting point is 00:38:00 We talking about it. It's an experience in that thing, man. You gotta go check them Falcons out, baby. Yeah, so week one, we there in Tampa, and we're meeting at Atlanta. Do you understand how hard it is, Joe? Like when you're trying to evaluate like what we do, we gonna have to talk about the game.
Starting point is 00:38:17 So how are we gonna talk about the game that we don't watch on television if we had the Falcons game? Use the phone. You got Twitter. NFL Reds on, with all the games on your phone. Bro. See that's the thing though. See we so how you
Starting point is 00:38:30 how you watching the Falcons game if you looking at your phone we can just look at the tidbits look at the tidbits. I see where he come from. Nah nah he just trying to get out of going to the game with us. What are you doing?
Starting point is 00:38:44 You know he goes sneaking in one of these games. Nah, nah, he just trying to get out of going to the game with us, what he doing? He gonna sneak in on one of these games. One of these games. Yeah, I'm gonna have to figure that out. I'm gonna have to call Mr. Blank. I'm gonna have to go through the private to the secret tunnel. They gonna take good care of you. We'll make it work.
Starting point is 00:38:57 We'll make it work. Yeah. I'm pretty sure he'll accommodate you. Kyle, man, thanks for joining us, man. We appreciate it. Stay healthy. This is the year you gotta stay healthy because you know what, this is your fifth year.
Starting point is 00:39:09 You know what the fifth year means. What comes after the fifth year. Mm. Mm. Mm. They playing. Hey, Kittle got 19 million. Hello.
Starting point is 00:39:18 Hey, you could be the first $20 million guy. Shit, Mega 22. Hello, I like that, I like that. Hey, I'm just saying, the first guy, hey, the first, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $20, and congratulations man. Continue success. Stay healthy man and come back and join us.
Starting point is 00:39:45 After that first 200 yard game, come back and join us and talk to us, tell us about it. I got you, I'm gonna hold you to that. All right, bet. All right. Kyle Pence. Appreciate it, dog. Right in for the Atlanta Falcons, guys.

Presented by Capital One, founding partner of iHeart Women's Sports. There were some football injuries today, guys. Justin Fields was carted off the field during Jets training camp. The official Jets account put an update saying, after a medical evaluation, Justin Fields sustained a dislocated toe in his right foot and will be day to day fields avoid a serious injury and significant missed times. Dislocated toe, how much time is that? About two weeks? It all depends. You know that's on his right foot. That's the plant you throw off of. Yeah, that's the one that you stop and's on his right foot. That's the plant you throw off of. That's the plant you throw off of too. Yeah, that's the one that you stop and it big head way. You don't know how much you need that big toe
Starting point is 00:44:10 one till you hurt it. Until you hurt it, right? Oh, stub it. Hey, in the middle of that, when you going to the bathroom, you kick that bed post on Joe, or you stub that thing going to the bathroom. No, that pinky toe, you hit the corner of the wall or the corner of the bed. Man, listen, hold on, hold on. I got turf toe, when I was playing in Brooklyn,
Starting point is 00:44:32 we played against Toronto, it was a game seven. We ended up winning the game seven, but I got it, I caught the turf toe in like third quarter. So the next series, man, I had to get shot in my big toe before every game, man. I'm talking about the worst pain ever. Oh my God. My brother had that same injury, Joe.
Starting point is 00:44:52 He had to get shot up. He didn't practice. All he did, he hurt it in the pre-season. He shot it up and then he ended up having to have surgery after the season. Yeah. Yep. So that toe ain't nothing to play with.
Starting point is 00:45:06 I had an uncle and he pulled wood and he ended up cutting his big toe off, man. That joker walk, he actually cut like three of his toes off. He went through, he was cutting the wood on Joe and went through and went right, toes on the floor and and I think he had a bow blade. You know what a bow blade is, right? I don't know what that is.
Starting point is 00:45:49 Okay, you got a straight blade and then you have the bow blade. So he had a big bow blade. The round one. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's called a bow blade. And so I don't know if they still do it because now I see all the, when I watch IG and I see they got these machines,
Starting point is 00:46:10 they got the machine that'll cut down the tree. But they didn't have that when I was growing up as a kid. They had seven, eight, nine guys out there with the moon blazing, the bow blaze cutting down the trees. So it was big difference back then, Ocho, than what it is now. But yeah, man, you be, hey, you gotta be careful.
Starting point is 00:46:29 You gotta watch guy cutting down the tree and the tree fall on your head. Hey, man, you get hurt out there. Hey, that's some dangerous work out there. But yeah, Sam Donald, Zach Wilson, Aaron Rodgers, not Justin Fields. It seemed like damn, they can't catch him. Right, yeah. And listen, at least the extent of the injury
Starting point is 00:46:47 is not that drastic where he's gonna miss the whole season. Obviously, I'm not sure what the length of time is for a dislocated toe. The backup is... It all depends, what you call them? Tyron Taylor, yeah, yeah, yeah. So I don't think they're gonna miss a beat offensively, but having Justin Fields there to get those reps in
Starting point is 00:47:08 with the start. Yeah, he need reps. And with that type of injury, I know it lingers. It ain't just gonna go away. Yeah. And it all depends on what toe it is. What toe is dislocated? Is it a big toe?
Starting point is 00:47:22 Is it one of the middle toes? Because a lot of times when you have turf toe Ocho, they put that steel plate because they don't want it to bend. So, you know, cause they don't want you to get that, that flexion up and on on the toe. So it's going to be very, very interesting. I wish him a speed of recovery.
Starting point is 00:47:37 I just want, I just want a young fellow to, to be able to stay, play, play fast, stay healthy, be somewhere they believe in him. I don't know how good offensive line that they're gonna have at the Jets, but I know that he relished this opportunity because now he thought he was going to Pittsburgh and then they ended up signing Russell Wilson
Starting point is 00:47:56 and he gets off into a four-two start and then they insert Russell. And so he's like, well damn, what do I gotta do? What do I gotta do? But go ahead. I'm just saying that that sucks. It sucks for the Jets fan. It sucks for the Jets organization
Starting point is 00:48:10 as they continue to try and find and hit that stride at the quarterback position. Like it's always something. It's always something. Yeah. AG said he suspected Fields was hurt when his foot was stepped on by a teammate, but that he needed to see the film and a lot of times
Starting point is 00:48:26 Don't show you know, you get stepped on the quarterback get stepped on trying to get out there a guard or the center step back He gets pushed back. He's trying to brace himself He steps on the quarterback foot and then you know things like that happen but The Jets fans will be very very very very very very disappointed. It, very disappointed if like, bro, he got hurt by his own teammate and we ain't even get to the game yet. Practice. But it happens.
Starting point is 00:48:52 Practice at that. Yes. I mean, I broke my eye socket. My teammate did that. I'm like, damn. Friendly Friar get you, Ocho. You know, you blocking, you get rolled up. Gotta keep them feet moving, boy. You gotta stay moving, Ocho. You know you blocking, you get rolled up. Hey.
Starting point is 00:49:05 You gotta keep the feet moving, boy. You gotta stay moving, Ocho. Stay moving. Hey, Joe, that was a thing. Hey, I tell the running back, okay. Since you wanna run up my back, hey, okay. Don't worry about it. It seems like every play in football risky.
Starting point is 00:49:21 Oh, it absolutely is. Every single one. And absolutely. You know what, that's probably some of the worst that I see when I be seeing guys blocking and people be falling on them and they don't know. Yep. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:32 I mean the best thing you do, especially for linemen, linemen is hard for them to keep their feet moving, but when people fall on top of you, just let your body go. Don't fight it. Just let your body go and fall with everything. But a lot of times you see guys that they can't because they getting held up, Ocho,
Starting point is 00:49:49 sometimes you blocking and then somebody roll, roll and they holding you up. Yeah, yeah, yeah, you're right, you're right. And you could do, but you're right. That's the thing is to try to let your body go limp and to take some of that energy out of it. But bam, but I sure hope Justin Fields get healthy soon. Ocho, you're not gonna believe this one.
Starting point is 00:50:10 Raiders are releasing DT Kristen Wilkins with the designation of terminated bested veteran. The Raiders reportedly voided the remaining 35.2 million guaranteed money left on Wilkins' contract last month due to how he treated the rehab from the foot injury he suffered last season. Raiders released a statement and it reads as such, to move on from Kristen Wilkins, and he has been informed of his relief from the team. This franchise has a commitment to excellence on and off the field with no clear path or plan for the future return to play from Kristen.
Starting point is 00:50:55 This transaction is necessary for the entire organization to move forward and prepare for a new season. Well, you know what? That lets me know there's language in the contract somewhere because they just say they bought it. Key word, guaranteed. forward and prepare for a new season. Well, you know, that lets me know there's language in the contract somewhere because they just say they bought it keyword guaranteed. The fact that they can get void guaranteed money means there's language in the contract somewhere that says if you do not do X, Y and Z, then legally we can take your
Starting point is 00:51:19 money back to you even though it's said guaranteed. money back to you even though it's said guaranteed. Check this out. The NFL PA has 50 days to file a grievance on Kristen Wilkins. Right house after the Raiders boarded 35.25 million worth of guaranteed money in his contract on June 4th 8 million for this year 27.25 for the next year. The grievance was filed this morning, a legal battle. Yeah, what'd he do wrong though? What'd you think he did wrong?
Starting point is 00:51:51 The same thing, I guess he wasn't there rehabbing or they said he wasn't taking the rehab. Hold on, let me go back and see what they said. He's been in, hold on. It said, uh, last month due to how he treated the rehab from the foot injury, he suffered. Remember the Cowboys took 500,000 from Trayvon digs. Why? Because of how he treated the rehab. They said he wasn't there enough. They didn't feel he was taking it serious enough. Remember Ocho also,
Starting point is 00:52:26 the Milwaukee bucks, what did Dane want to do? He wanted to train in Portland to be close to his family. They didn't wanna jive with that and they didn't wanna get into it. They said the best thing for us to do is to just move forward. Now it seems like the Raiders are trying to extract, get that, hey, we don't wanna pay that. We ain't trying to pay 35 million. I see what the teamiders are trying to extract, get that A. We don't wanna pay that, we ain't trying to pay 35 million.
Starting point is 00:52:46 I see what the teams are doing and I understand. I see their side is, okay, you're hurt, you're injured. We wanna be able to track how far along you are. We wanna see where you are. To make sure you're. Make sure, now listen, they rehabbing no matter what. They gonna do that, cause they wanna play football,
Starting point is 00:53:03 but they just wanna be on top of how it was going, who's doing it, what's being done to make sure that you're doing everything you can to get yourself back on the field in a timely manner. That's the only reason they're doing that. It's the only reason Treyvon Diggs was fine because we can't see it. We don't know exactly what you're doing. You can say you're doing it, which we know you are, but it's not to our satisfaction because it ain't coming from us. I don't know how y'all do it, but Joe, but you know this. Okay. I invest some money. So I got stock in this, this and this, you know what? No people do. Oh Joe, this is okay. Here's your tracker. You can track it also. If you just track it and I don't track it, you could tell me anything, but I can see, hold on.
Starting point is 00:53:47 Why you buy some more of that? Who told you to sell that? If you're not there because you got to realize it, these guys are investments to these teams, Ocho, like you think about it. And what was this? So guaranteed he got like 80 something million guaranteed, oh Joe? You don't think these people are going to watch out for their investment to make sure they're trying to get a return on their money? That's the whole purpose of an investment, is that
Starting point is 00:54:15 I'm trying to get a return on that investment. Bro, look, like I said, I don't really know. I mean, look, this is what, I don't really know. I mean, look, this is what the Raiders are saying. I'm sure if you were to talk to Kristen Wilkins and his representative, they'll tell you something different. But I do understand, but these teams, these teams for, I remember in the Super Bowl,
Starting point is 00:54:39 I tore my MCL and it was a grade two, grade three strain. Ocho, I stayed I wish we got back I stayed there for like five weeks after the season. You don't think I wanted to go home? I could have made but I stayed there got that thing like 80 90 percent. Greek says hey the athletic trainer Steve Antonopoulos we call him Greek he's a sharper can go home, but I'm gonna need to see you in a month to make sure this thing is fully healthy. No problem. No problem. And I damn sure, boy look here.
Starting point is 00:55:13 Y'all guarantee me how much? 84 million? I'm staying there, Ocho. I'm gonna get that thing 1,000% on they dime. Oh absolutely. You know how them young boys are on. You got them young boys on. He said, yo, I'm getting all that money.
Starting point is 00:55:23 When the season over, them boys trying to get by their own. They trying to get up out of there. I think in Dame's case though, with him knowing he gonna miss the whole season, Uncle Ocho, I think, you know, probably just put him in a better head space being around his family, which I kind of understood. I don't feel like he's a guy who's gonna to shortchange you, but you know, I get it. Maybe they want to already get rid of him anyway, because if he, you know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:55:50 So they did because, cause you know what, Joe? Dame never wanted to be there in the first place. Dame wanted to Dame see, first of all, Dame let the fans and his ring culture force him out of Portland. He never wanted to leave Portland, but he felt in order to appease a lot of people that kept putting pressure on him, he needed to go somewhere.
Starting point is 00:56:11 Man, Stepp done played for a championship. Luca done played for a championship. This one done played for a championship. Dane ain't ever been close to playing for a championship. They got him up out of there, but he went to a place, that ain't where he wanted to go. He said he wanted to go to Miami. Well Miami didn't offer the package that Minnesota offered.
Starting point is 00:56:30 Excuse me, Milwaukee offered. So they ended up, I'm trying to get the best deal Ocho. I understand you my boy Ocho, hey, I'm going to do everything I possibly can. But you know Ocho, where you want to go ain't all for me. What this place over here? So you might have to do a Kawhi, you might have to do a detour. You might have to go somewhere for a year and let them prove you.
Starting point is 00:56:52 But I gotta take the highest price. And for them, Joe, let me know what you think. It seems to me, when somebody take the steps that Milwaukee took, it seems like to me, now maybe I'm exaggerating, but I think they were overdain. They realized that this thing wasn't gonna work. Oh Joe, that's $111 million.
Starting point is 00:57:12 It's just for me, I think they were thinking like the injuries, I mean, he's pretty much been injured over there every year, so they could never get full potential into what they could be. I'm gonna be honest with y'all, I was excited about him going to Milwaukee. I know he didn't wanna go there, but I just thought him and Yannis
Starting point is 00:57:26 will bring a different element to the Eastern Conference that a lot of these teams wouldn't be able to match. And the fact that he had to deal with these injuries the past two years, man, I just feel like they was like, well, our time is up on that. You know what I mean? Yeah. Yannis was injured his first year,
Starting point is 00:57:44 then he got, then he, you know, kind of nicked, he was l, Yonis was injured his first year. Then he got, then he, you know, kind of nicked, he was licked early then now, and they say, you know what, let, instead of trying to let this thing play out, let's go ahead and cut the cord. Cause sometimes Ocho people like, well, well maybe we can salvage it. Nah bro, you burnt this.
Starting point is 00:57:59 Let's don't, let's not peel this burnt edges away and try to eat the insides. Nah bro, just go ahead and throw this whole ish in the trash and move on and let's try peel this burnt edges away and try to eat the insides. Nah bro, just go ahead and throw this whole issue in the trash and move on and let's try to get another dish going. Because that's what happened. They were like, we're not trying to salvage this. We already know what it is.
Starting point is 00:58:15 And it's a situation where I'm sure Yannis is frustrated because Yannis said like, these superstars, they keep their foot on these teams neck because I want to compete for a championship every single year. It's unfortunate. It's funny how they do it. They don't see value in you anymore once you get hurt. Once you get injured.
Starting point is 00:58:35 That's it, that's it. You been there. Well, I don't know if you've ever been there, but Joe, you've been there. I've been injured. They don't even talk to you. You get hurt and they don't even talk to you. Hey, hey, hey, hey. Okay,'t even talk to you. You get hurt, man they don't even talk to you.
Starting point is 00:58:48 Hey, hey, hey, hey. You getting close to getting back. How you feeling, dude? You ready? You ain't scared, are you? Bro, the last time we with you, you said a damn word to me. Now, I'm a couple days away from returning, now you asking me how I'm feeling. You shouldn't have asked me that three weeks ago.
Starting point is 00:59:01 Hey, it's lonely being hurt, I ain't gonna lie to you. It's lonely being hurt, I ain't gonna lie to you. It's lonely being hurt, boy, damn. Man, that's the worst. Man, I broke my collarbone, man. I shoulda had this thing replaced. I mean, it almost broke out of the skin. And so it's like, it's gonna be like, it's gonna be like, that was weak,
Starting point is 00:59:22 that was weak before I broke it. So they say it's gonna be like eight to 10 weeks. So, Oh Joe, you know what I'm saying? I go and like week six, I'm running on the treadmill. Man, I try to open up. What? Crack up. What?
Starting point is 00:59:43 To all the scar tissue loose. Now I'm going for the rest of the year. You got it on there, way then y'all. I tried to rush back out there, uh-uh, guys. Bae, you know I had a thing. I said, Bae, you know I feel, oh Joe, you know I feel really good. You know I'm standing up there, ah.
Starting point is 00:59:59 I said, let me open this bag, let me open it up. Joe, I got geeked, Joe. I was feeling good, too. I got geeked Joe. I was feeling good too. I was running like, crack. Damn. I hit that button. Then I got down on that A. As a matter of fact, they knew it was bad
Starting point is 01:00:22 cause they sent me to New York and saw the Giants team doctor. He said, yeah, you tore the scar tissue, the cartilage loose through from there. He said, that's a six week injury. That's Raph O'Shaven. Yeah, I let them gas me up. They gas me up.
Starting point is 01:00:44 I'm gonna come on back. Trying to get back too fast. Check this out, Ojo. There's a video that has surfaced today of Wilkins dancing in the Raiders facility to Backstreet Boys just a few days ago. Check out this video, guys. Oh, he already knew what was going on.
Starting point is 01:01:08 A lot of times all they wanna do is get your video, Joe. Oh Joe, I don't know if y'all did this, but I can explain something. A lot of times guys are like, man, I'm hurt, I'm hurt. I mean, I can't go out there. And they say, look, we just want you to go out there, just do a couple of walkthroughs. They put them pads on,'t go out there and they say, look, we just want you to go out there, just do a couple of walkthroughs. They put them pads on, they go out there
Starting point is 01:01:28 and they do the walkthrough. And when they come back in there, they get that little tap on the shoulder. They wanna see you upstairs. They already got your own film. Okay, okay. They got your own film. Now I ain't telling you what somebody told you,
Starting point is 01:01:40 I'm telling you what I know. Hey, that's all they want to see. Hey, you going through the A. We'll see you upstairs. Hey, so hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. Hold on, camp now started, right? His homie unknowingly incriminated him by posting it on Instagram,
Starting point is 01:02:00 not knowing that they going through something already and they used that video against him and they got him out of there Their reports this is reports We don't know if it's true or not saying that Wilkins refused surgery when the team recommended Ocho you remember the Michael Thomas situation. He had all offseason and this man had surgery in June off season and this man had surgery in June. The situation with Wilkins in Vegas has been simmering for months as both sides disagreed
Starting point is 01:02:30 on how the foot injury and recovery should be handled. Kristen Wilkins made 29 million last year and had already 25.5 million already this year. That's $50 million, $49.7 million. Hold on, he trying to get out of there. He trying to get out of there, Ocho? So he was gonna make seven million, Ocho, he was gonna make seven million,
Starting point is 01:02:58 which would have pushed the total to 50, basically about 57 million, with another 27.5 due. Therefore, it lies 84.5 million guaranteed. Hey, y'all want me to have surgery? Okay, now when I can't come back and play, remember, y'all recommended me to play. What surgery you supposed to have on? Some more.
Starting point is 01:03:26 He had, I think he had a leg sprain. I think he had a foot, he had a foot injury. Hey, if you have a leg sprain, do you actually need, do you need surgery or is it optional? Sometimes they recommend it, but at the end, look, Ocho, you remember how I told you, if I'm gonna get hurt, I'm gonna get hurt on team's time. If I'm gonna have surgery, I'm gonna have it on your time.
Starting point is 01:03:48 So when it goes around, remember what you said, right? Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay. Damn. I mean, he could go, okay, I got a doctor, your doctor says this, okay, let's go get an independent doctor. Somebody that doesn't, because my doctor's gonna look out for the best interest of me.
Starting point is 01:04:09 Your doctor's gonna look out for the best interest of the team. Let's go get somebody that ain't got no dog in the fight. Let's go to Anderson up in Charlotte. Let's go to get somebody at the Curlin-Jobe Clinic out here. Let's go see the Andrew, ay. Ain't no, ay, hey, I got another time. I'm gonna go see James Andrews,
Starting point is 01:04:27 I'm gonna go see Stedman Hawkins, I'm gonna go see Dr. Anderson up in Charlotte. I'll go see Watkins, I don't care, I'll go see five or six doctors. What is the best treatment for this? Okay, y'all, here's the x-rays. This is what's going on. What is the best course of action?
Starting point is 01:04:45 Do I let this heal on its own? Will it heal on its own? Or do I need to have surgery and have this thing fixed? What do you guys recommend? Okay, I got seven, eight different opinions. Six of them says, have surgery. Nah, six of them says, let it heal. Two has surgery. Nah, six of them says let it heal. Two has surgery.
Starting point is 01:05:07 Man, listen, you know your body. You know your body than everybody else. He felt he didn't need surgery, obviously, but with training camp starting. He has a Jones fracture. Let me take that back. I said, Liv Franks, he has a Jones fracture. Oh, well, that ain't young.
Starting point is 01:05:18 That needs surgery there, baby. You heard me? I think he had already had surgery. All right, hold on. What's the Jones? what's the Jones? What is that? Oh Joe, y'all gotta break that down for you boy. Hey, but listen, don't get me to lying, boy.
Starting point is 01:05:34 I ain't never been hurt, so I know Jones. Only Jones. A Jones fracture also known as the fifth metatarsal fracture is a break in the bone that connects the pinky toe to the foot base. So the pinky toe, the little bone is right here. You need that boy. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:53 Hold on. Hey, I would've got. There it is right there. Yeah. Oh, can y'all see that? Yeah, yeah. Yeah, hey, hey. I would've got that done right away, boy.
Starting point is 01:06:06 Oh Joe, and that's not a small man. Oh no. That's a large man. Yeah, yeah. You gotta think about it, that's a large man on that. And he's quick, he's agile. His whole thing is playing with quickness. I wonder why he want.
Starting point is 01:06:23 He had surgery last October, but the rehab didn't work and he needed surgery again per team. Yeah. I don't even got it. I don't even got that. Play no game. I got that surgery, Ocho.
Starting point is 01:06:34 Ocho, I got info. Ocho, Ocho, this is not like I'm in a contract here. I got 84 million guaranteed. And I'm in Las Vegas with no state income tax. I guarantee you get picked up. I can tell you where you gonna go to. Where you going, Ocho? Over there with the star on their helmet.
Starting point is 01:06:54 Cause it's not a bonus, it's a need. But here's the thing though, Ocho, if he's not healthy, can he pass a physical? I understand the game he playing. He trying to pull the wool out on their eyes, Ocho. And listen, man listen, he might never know how a player feels. If you saying one thing and they trying to force you to do something else and it basically got the player feeling
Starting point is 01:07:19 like well damn you really don't care about me. You just want me to get out there on the field. Ocho, no. Ochocho they telling him to have surgery No, but he's trying to do it his way without it without having to have the surgery already one I'm not going back under the knife again. I'm away till he'll own his own then when I feel I'm healthy enough I'm gonna get on the field They got that's that's the only that's the only only only thing it could be But you can't be dancing in locker room. Okay, you can't be dancing That's the only thing it could be.
Starting point is 01:07:48 But you can't be dancing in the locker room, you can't be dancing in the training room. That's hard. You know they can't, oh Joe, I don't know how Cincinnati do it. Joe, I don't know how they do it. But in Denver, we had cameras everywhere. The meeting room, big meeting room, small meeting room, training room.
Starting point is 01:08:04 Yeah, that was- Locker room. Yeah, that was- Locker room. Somebody posted that though. That was a- But, oh, they got cameras in there too. But, and I'm being Ocho, why? Why are you dancing? It's like, if you injured, Ocho, you know this.
Starting point is 01:08:21 Joe, you know this. If you injured, if they found, if you injured and you out, boy, they gonna ask for food. That's like you injured and you out? Man, you know, hey, bro, you can't, there's certain things you have to do. And people that's not in this profession don't understand. When I got a life outside of this, bro.
Starting point is 01:08:43 No, you don't. They paying this man $84 million, fully guaranteed. They pay you X amount of dollars. Bro, if you injured, you can't be going out to the club. Not in get caught. It's really that simple. It's hard to go out in a city and with a sports franchise.
Starting point is 01:09:01 Oh Dave, it's hard, yeah. They don't do any damn thing. Yes! They used, it used to be, before I got there, like a couple of years before I got there, the Broncos used to stay at home the night before the game. But after a couple of DUIs,
Starting point is 01:09:21 a couple of, you know, people getting their bikes, they said, nah, take y'all ass to the hotel. And so, and now, Ocho, you know, if somebody is out before the night before the game. Before the game? The night before the game. Or if you injured. Ocho, let's just say for the sake of argument, Ocho,
Starting point is 01:09:42 you Ocho, you ain't played in three weeks, cause you injured, but you out. You know somebody posted that Ocho. Joe, you know somebody gonna post that. This is why the Bengals can't win no game. This is why Ocho can't get back on the field. Look at anybody here at the club. Now, Mike Brown go field.
Starting point is 01:10:02 Hey, hold on though. Ocho, so on game days, even if you at home, they still make you actually stay at a hotel? Yeah, you stay at a hotel night before the game. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, absolutely, absolutely. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:17 Yeah, I used to go to the hotel. Man, if you didn't, Joe, them juggles gonna be, man, them juggles gonna get, we had guys go get drunk. Yeah. Hey. Hey, okay, I dig it. Ah, hey, Joe Bad, look here, man. We had some guys coming on Saturday morning. Bro, hit the shower, man.
Starting point is 01:10:40 Just go on and get in the shower, man. You gotta sweat some of that. You gotta get that up out you, man. Cause I mean, you smell like a liquor still. I mean, did you like take a bath in vodka, gin? Or, I mean, damn. Hey, hey, hey, we used to check out hotels. They used to take some of them cast mini bars.
Starting point is 01:10:57 Where they couldn't, they wouldn't even have liquor in their mini bars. I'm serious. Yeah, man, hey. Hey, people don't get it. Yeah, I know. Cause my teammates be coming to my room. Hey, let me get something about your mini bar.
Starting point is 01:11:10 Let me get something about your mini bar. No, because people gonna think, I'm drinking out the mini bar. No, hell no. And you know they got the mini bars, not your. Pick it up. If you touch it, if you don't put that thing back in like 30 seconds, they charge, they charge you.
Starting point is 01:11:27 Hey. They gonna get there. Get out of here. Hey, hey, hey, I put that little thing on my door. I over the door right there. Hey, what you want? You know, you know they going in there. Nope, no, no, no, come on Sharp.
Starting point is 01:11:40 Ain't no come on Sharp man. Yeah. Oh man. Yeah. But I look, I hate this situation. I really do. Cause I mean, Wilkins is a phenomenal player. He's gone to the pro bowl quick. He's agile. He could rush the passer.
Starting point is 01:11:59 He can stop the run. I mean, he's a very, very good defensive lineman. And for it to come like this, and see this, you see what I'm saying, Ocho? This is why they hate to get guaranteed money, you see? Cause now you get, cause now they'll take one situation like this and try to put it on the other four. And use that as the poster reason on why we don't do it.
Starting point is 01:12:26 Yeah, but listen, there's more to the story. Obviously we hear- Oh yeah, for sure. We only know one side. We don't know his side. I'm sure his side is valid. He has a reason for doing what he was doing. And it's unfortunate it's come to this.
Starting point is 01:12:40 He's gonna land somewhere because there's too much of a talent at the position and the defensive tackle that can be used and use his service somewhere. I'm getting healthy, but I'm gonna get my money back. I'm gonna get my money back. You think you know my name, Reivans? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:12:57 He might not get it. I mean, he might, look, without, I mean, the guarantee is a guarantee. And see, that's the problem that you run into, Ocho. You see? Now they ain't just trying to take the guarantee back this year. They're taking, trying to take back all the things.
Starting point is 01:13:11 But why he wouldn't just had a surgery though? And they still was gonna pay him? I, yeah, absolutely. He done made 50, he had made just a little less than $50 million for five games. There's a good chance that he has the surgery again. He gonna miss this year. So he had another 27 million this year. So basically like 30, 37, 34 and a half million dollars on top of the money that he got.
Starting point is 01:13:42 Matter of fact, not because if you only played five games, right? And they done paid him that much already. And you ain't had surgery in the whole off season and now be going into camp and you might miss this season again too, if you don't get surgery. Shit, they're probably man, man to hell with this shit. Right, cause they looked at he had surgeon october so they probably saw this thing around what say like march april and it wasn't healing
Starting point is 01:14:12 properly so they say hey let's go ahead and get that and he's like nah because remember michael thomas had that injury and i and that was my question okay the show. Bro, you had the whole off season, so you got done. So you had end of January, February, March, April, May, you don't get the surgery till June and you go into camp in July and you don't understand why the Saints are upset. Yeah. Damn.
Starting point is 01:14:43 I'm confused. But hey, hopefully they get it resolved. Ugh, come on, why is this taking so long? This thing is ancient. Still using yesterday's tech?
