But first,
Ocho,
I know you had
something you wanted
to get off your chance.
Yeah,
yeah,
most definitely,
most definitely.
Brother Cam Newton,
brother Cam Newton,
you left a very long soliloquy,
a dissertation,
if you'd say,
on Instagram
on your show on fourth and one,
you know?
It was taking a shot at me
complaining about
the Madden ratings
and you wanted to play me
and Madden.
So obviously,
you know,
I took somewhat kind of offense to it, but I'm a challenger.
I'm a competitor.
And you had all these big words and these nouns and verbs,
and you was rhyming and having nice bars to it and talking real spicy like you really
like that.
They call you thumbs.
And, you know, you had a chance.
They just revealed the new Madden 26 and you was playing the game against somebody.
And long behold, all this trash talking, you coming at the king,
talking about how good you are and what you're going to do to me.
and you got trashed chat can y'all see that chat you got trash who beat him
man 35 to six 35 to eight who beat him on your who is that he playing again
i'm not i'm not even sure it don't even matter her it don't even matter
listen the fact that you talking trash to me someone that is a known game he said oh i don't
know you to play i know you to play fifah i don't know you to play mad well obviously from
looks at it you don't know how to play mad neither
Damn, Cam.
Hey, hey, Cam,
and, hey, um,
let me tell you how bold he was
and how confident he was,
you know,
in a sense of arrogance almost.
Talk about the winner of the Madden game,
we can swap shows.
Like, if I beat him,
I can go,
he can go on fourth and one,
and if he beat me,
he'd come on Nike.
I'm like,
man, listen to your partner,
this ain't what you do.
You talk like you him,
but you're not him.
Don't ever challenge me
at anything regarding video games.
You play video games for recreational purposes.
I play video games as a way of life
to pay my bills and take care of child support.
We are not to stop.
All right?
He puts up on, he puts up on, Cam.
Huh?
I said, that man puts something on Cam, man.
And listen, listen, Toy Manu, you know what?
Manu, you know what?
Hey, Ted Cam, man telling me,
Man, listen, don't you shoot at the king, you bet not miss, boy.
And just from looking at that, that's embarrassing.
Like, why would I, aunt tell me, why would I waste my time?
Huh?
Why would I waste my time?
Chat, what y'all think?
Chat, make sure y'all, y'all tell Cam, man.
Don't play at me like that no more, man.
Don't play at me like that, man.
Listen, not only am I'm a true gamer.
I'm a gaming enthusiast.
I've been playing Madden since 1988, Sega Genesis, John Madden on the cover.
like they play for fun man they play for game they play for shits and giggles man
this life and death over here with me man when they come to mad man who yeah cam got the
look on his face like man what the hell happened yeah what i got myself into and got the nerd
to be you know coming at me man yeah yeah yeah he was slick with it on cho he was sling with you
putting his words together real good yeah yeah yeah yeah they were well burst yeah night all them
All nouns and pronouns.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
He had a mess together.
Listen, hey, Cam, why don't you do me a favor?
Open the Bible.
Open the Bible.
Hey, hold on.
Hey, what's up, Joe?
Hey, chat.
Y'all do me a favor, chat.
Y'all tell Cam to open the Bible and go to Leviticus.
Chapter 8, verse 5.
Thou shall now tryeth.
Man.
Don't play at me, Cam.
That's what I do, what?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, that man put some on.
Hey, hey, um, I should have sent Ash,
I forgot to see a screenshot of my game.
You know, I won my game, huh?
I won my game.
You know, I did what I had to do.
I gave Young Bull a small symbol size
of what I can do.
You know, I didn't want to show too much, you know.
Man, I'm a developer.
I'm a developer.
I'm a developer.
I don't just play.
They come to me for insight, you know?
And stop playing with me, man.
Yeah, you, I don't know who the old boy is,
but he puts him on Cam.
And listen, man, matter of fact,
I tweeted a kid in the day.
Cam, Pam ain't sweet all day.
Cam, I have to take two weeks off
after this one.
Oh, no, well, listen, whenever he,
whenever he resurfaced,
we're going to let him know.
We ain't going to forget this one.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, boy.
Oh, boy, put puts in him.
He put push in it with this with this score here.
I did not anticipate this with three minutes left in the ball game, 35 to 8.
I don't know what made him go for two.
Okay.
I mean, what?
I mean, what, I mean, what, I mean, what was it, 27 and a half?
I mean, I'm confused.
Maybe that's a thing, oh, is that a thing, Ocho?
But you go for two?
I mean, I don't know, Ocho.
Help me out, Ocho.
Help me out.
the game was over
why you go for two
I think he went for two trying to make the score
look like
357 358 it's the same
yeah yeah
unless the old one it was 27 and a half
that's the only way is
bad please
oh man
The fact that he had a five-minute video
talking about how good he was.
That's the only reason I'm really answering back,
you know, because you, you're firing at me like you,
like you, I'm like, I'm like, okay.
But I started to believe it.
He was so-
Oh, he was talking good because he said he was like rank.
Like, rank, rank what?
Rank last?
That's the only rank.
That's the only rank you're going to be based off that.
Boy, that one.
Hey, I, p.
Oh, my goodness.
Oh, my goodness.
But he was doing all that talking.
Chat, chat, y'all saw the video he made five minutes long.
Five minutes long.
I'm like, what are we talking about?
And, like, I was starting to believe it.
I'm like, well, maybe he is that good.
Well, maybe he does know how to play.
And long below.
Long below.
When they, eh, um, when them lights on, when them lights on, you know, you can't have that.
Can't have gone.
Yeah, you can't have it.
When them lights on, everybody watching.
the pressure on? Can you still perform after talking that trash? See, that's what I'm used to
doing. I'm used to talking trash. You talk Cam about his game? And then going out there and
backing it up. That ain't what Cam do. He ain't me. You can't beat me. You can't. There's nothing
you can beat me in. Nothing. Respectably. Cam, you got 24 hours to respond. No, he didn't
did enough talking. He didn't do enough talking. That's the problem. He doing too much talking. Yeah,
He's doing too much talking and no stick work.
Too much talking and no stick work.
But I ain't a lie, Ocho.
I thought, but the way he was talking,
I said, man, damn, oh, I was scared.
I'm like, Ocho, please, don't challenge this.
Hey, listen, I'll tell you what my grandma used to told me.
The loudest one in the room is the weakest one in the room.
That's what my grandma told me.
And then you got some, like, I don't really,
that analogy doesn't work with me because I'm the loud one.
But I really mean what I say,
and I back up everything I say from A to Z.
You understand?
I wouldn't put on no performance like that
because that's embarrassing
because that's my last name.
Yeah.
I don't know.
Joe must be in a halfway house or something.
Wi-Fi.
Can y'all hear me?
I guess he's talking to me.
Can you all hear me?
What's on, Joe?
Yeah.
Oh, my bad, man.
We have technical difficulties over here.
I'm getting the right, man.
Y'all know, I'd normally be out here locked like the quiet's going, man.
I'll be ready.
Right, right.
Is the weather bad?
Because normally the last couple of days, the weather been really,
it's been raining really hard in Atlanta.
So I'm, is the weather bad?
No, I don't think the weather bad right now, man.
We're getting it right over here.
We're getting it right.
Joe, where you at?
It'll be a mad, Tona.
I'm at the career.
What happened?
Yeah, I keep breaking up.
I'll be used to by you don't think the weather bad.
hell just look out the window unless you're in a bunker it ain't it ain't it ain't crazy nothing like
that you know what's going on man man we good we're good glad you glad you could join us
as we just had to talk about cam newton man cam newton either made a whole video talking trash right
you saw it i sit there man trying your gangster bro try my gangster joke he just played he just
played somebody two days ago right
you know, they had a mad release
and everybody had a chance to play somebody
another gamer. You know, I won my game.
Yeah. Man, Joe,
ask me what the score was when he played, when he played.
Can't play somebody?
He played somebody. Ask me what the score was.
What was the goal, Ocho?
And the score with 35-8, man. He lost, man.
A whole lot to a few.
Oh.
35-8.
Hey, hey.
Hey. Don't let your guard down,
Ocho, Joe, because the man lost nothing.
I ain't a fish.
Hey, Joe.
it's at a point right now, Joe.
It's like me challenging you
to a game of basketball and you know
you're going to whip me. That's how you can now
after seeing that, man.
Ocho, say, no, you got, after you get beat that bad,
Ocho, he got to build back up. He just can't
challenge you. He got to be a hundred
he got to be the hundred gamers
consecutive before he can challenge Ocho again.
You know what he got to do? He has to work his way. He got to
play Michael Parsons. He got to play Des, Brian.
He got to play, who else is good?
Derwin James. He got to pay
and tank Dale before you come at the king.
You got to play, you know, those
that are underneath me. You know when it comes to this
game and stuff, Joe. You don't just
get on the game and say, hey, Ocho, play me.
You got to earn this, man.
After you don't got beat like that, that, yeah, he
can't play you, Ocho.
Especially after that long video. It was a nice video.
He was putting his words against a nice, Joe.
He sounded like a photographer. He sounded like a battle.
He ain't going to give him no game. You ain't going to plan?
You're not going to play?
Child, please.
Hey, listen, I play him. I play him.
I play him, but it has to be in a
construction environment. I want the lights real
bright. I want the world to watch
because that lets me know based off
what I just saw, that means he folds
under pressure. Oh, you want to stay set.
Huh?
You want the stage set.
Yeah, because I like
it. I like Joe, I like him in the lights bright. That's
why I wear shades. Okay. I like him in
the light's bright. Yeah. All right.
I want to see this, man. I want to see this. I want to see y'all boys get out
man. That way we can cut up all the
riff wrap, all that talking, jibble, jibble, bumping your gun.
We can see, who got that thumbwork?
Who can do something?
You know who got that thumbwork, Joe.
I won my game, Joe.
I won my game.
Like, it's on YouTube right now.
You can go back and look at my thumbwork,
and you look at Cam and his presentation,
the way he was talking,
and then you look at the end result.
It doesn't matter.
And Joe, Cam must have been playing with index fingers.
He might be playing like he had a tight rider.
Hey, Cam, say he'd do this now.
I couldn't tell.
He's, yeah, he's, he's, that's what he's, news.
He's news.
But, okay, we can go with it.
That's enough.
That's enough.
Nah, Nell said he's coming back, Coacho.
Check out Behind the Flow, a podcast documentary series following the launch of San Diego

We go behind the scenes and explore the stories of those involved.
San Diego coming to MLS is going to be a game changer

We need veteran players and we need young players.
Like you're building a team from scratch
and so the succession plan of long-term success needs to be defined.
We need to embrace this community.
When I was 13, my uncle took me to a qualifier
and we watched Ottawa against Chile, pouring rain,
just watching the fans jumping up and down.
I think that was definitely a watershed moment for me.
Not only was that going to be my game, but it was going to be my life.

The final.
The final.
And the locker room.
I really, really, like, you just,
you can't replicate,
you can't get back.
Showing up to locker room every morning
just to shit talk.
We've got more incredible guests
like the legendary Candace Parker and college superstar AZ Fudd.
I mean, seriously, y'all.
The guest list is absolutely stacked for season two.

Hey, check this out.
Shoulder Sanders will start Cleveland's Friday preseason open.
Kevin Stefanski confirmed this today
and added that Tyler Snoop Huntley
will be the only other quarterback
to play in the game
with Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett,
and Dylan Gabriel slated to rest.
Won't he do it? Won't he do it on?
Hey, look, look.
Your opportunity is presented itself.
It's kind of like divine order
if y'all asks me, Arkansas.
You know what I mean? Like,
it's like God working mysterious ways, man.
I know we don't want nobody to get hurt,
but to see them two dudes have, you know,
somewhere hamstring injuries and flacko,
obviously probably who is not going to play.
Man, I'm looking forward to him just coming out, you know, relaxing
and just having fun, bro.
I think it's going to be a good time for the young fellow.
My mind, you know, my mindset is,
Kenny Pickett and Dylan Gabriel about to get some permanent risk.
I'm going to play so good, they're going to be gone.
When it was going to be gone, it's old for them.
It's old for them.
Yeah.
Just go, hey, just enjoy the moment.
You don't have to do anything.
Man, that's it.
Just be you.
Titus, stop.
Hey, but look, can y'all imagine, like, the jitters or the butterflies that he may have,
like he's actually about to get ready to live out of the American dream, you know,
which is making it to the NFL.
That's probably one of his main goals.
And to be able to, you know, start in his first preseason game,
man, I remember when I was a rookie, okay, Ocho,
listen, boy, I took the preseason
like it was the playoffs.
Like, you know, because as a young
fellow, you know, you gotta, you gotta prove yourself.
You don't know no better.
You don't know about it.
You got to prove yourself. So the only thing you know
is going out there playing hard and showing
that you belong.
Yeah.
What's that?
Wait, yeah, it's the party over there, huh?
What's that, Titan?
Man, Phanos don't got a haircut.
Where he at?
He right here.
Oh, I thought that was Teddy.
What?
Oh, you're gonna go.
Oh.
Get him, get him, Thanos.
Titus.
You need to hush, bro.
You got some killers over there, boy.
I agree with you, Joe.
And I was talking to telling Ocho this.
I said, look how this thing was now.
Yeah.
Hamstring.
Four string and going to start.
Yeah.
I told you, listen.
I told you.
He's fourth on the death chart.
Yeah.
I don't know.
Because what I've been, I mean, I read and it says, man, Shador is out playing
Dylan Gabriel.
And then some people keep saying, well, he ain't, he ain't.
I don't really know.
I mean, I was.
I wish I could be there to actually see it for myself.
But I've read more articles.
It says it reads that Shadour
is outland-Gil and Gabriel.
I agree. I've been seeing some of that.
I've been seeing a lot of it, too.
You know, my eyes in the ears, my eyes
in the ears, they're in Miami.
What do you mean?
But when I want to know about what's going on
and how so... He got eyes in Miami, he got ears in Cleveland.
Oh, okay. Okay.
You hear me? So I just asked,
I go straight to the source.
I go to the source that's actually on the field.
I go to the source that's not a media person,
that's not an analyst, that can give it to me straight.
Boy, what them boys out there looking like, man?
Okay, boom.
That last time I said a name, this time I'm not saying no names,
which is why I'm so confident
and when we talk about Chador and the Cleveland Browns.
That's all.
Because I also mean no disrespect.
I told you we were going to get this opportunity.
you. I didn't know it become this fast and in this way. I've said it. I said it before.
Okay, Joe Flacko, I'm going to be the start of. And I say, if things aren't going well for Joe Flacko,
because he plays well in spurts, he'll get on a four or five game stretch and things somewhat fall apart or come off the hinges and then get his opportunities.
Now you get your opportunity early. You see how God work? Remember the Wally Pip story? You know about the Wally Pip story? You know about the Wally Pips story?
Hey, Chad, if you don't know about the Wally Pipp story,
look at the Wally Pipp story, you know.
I don't want nobody injured,
but I just want the opportunities given to players
that are drafted to a team to be fair,
and everybody giving the team.
Well, you see how God work.
Wally Pipp wasn't injured.
You just had a headache that day.
It never got his job back.
But you look, we'll find out.
We'll see everybody.
Like I said, it's only three preseason games.
So, I mean, the mere fact that he's playing,
because normally when guys, they're not expecting guys to make a ticket.
Oh, Joe, they don't let, normally they don't let them guys play.
Because you know why?
Because I don't want you to get hurt and I got to keep you.
Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm.
Hey, but listen, he prepared for this, huh?
Joe, he's prepared for this moment.
Yeah.
If there's anything and all you've been through, the doubters, the naysay,
the naysayers, the haters, your enemies
right there in your own backyard that drafted you
if what the owner said last week
is not motivation to go out there
and cut a plumb fool
in an organized way.
In an organized way,
in a structure environment,
it's still the game of football,
show that you can be a leader.
Calm, quiet, collected, and reserved.
Martha, I guarantee, watch what happened.
for guarantee he marched the ass right down and got first drive Friday first drive
I guarantee you that's how I play out marching right down the field
listen if you don't play well I'm holding him accountable if you don't play well I'm
holding him accountable just like we supposed to hold everybody accountable I mean
you see how they fix it up no Joe huh oh they're talking about oh Joe Flackle Cicin and
Dylan Gabriel or slated the rest nah they hurt
Two of the three hurt.
Ain't no resting.
They ain't got enough credential.
They ain't got enough time under their belt to get rest in a preseason game.
They ain't done enough.
Only one got time.
The rest is Joe Flacco.
Exactly.
He got 18.
Okay.
I get that.
But them other two?
They fight for jobs now.
Yeah.
I'm excited.
I'm excited.
You know who play tomorrow?
Who play tomorrow?
The Bengals.
That's who?
Who they play?
Who they play, Ocho?
They play the Eagles, well?
We play the Eagles, you know.
Okay.
We play the Eagles.
You know, we're going to put belt the ass.
That's what it's going to be.
First of all, y'all don't play in the preseason and guess what?
Same thing.
Hey, we can't, listen, we're not pulling that.
We're not pulling that this year.
Y'all put that every year.
No, no, no.
I'm saying they've been relaxing in the preseason, right?
Yeah.
And then going to week one, trying to go from zero to a hundred.
Oh, too.
No, Joe, Jamar, T, I need y'all boys.
Get one or two series.
Get one or two series.
Just get the juices flowing.
Get acclimated to the speed of the game.
I know y'all, your veterans, now.
Come on now.
We can't start.
We can't start the season, 0 and 2, 0 and 3 out the gate again.
We can't afford that.
I get y'all a quarter.
I give them a quarter, Ocho.
They ain't going to play.
No, not a court.
No.
They ain't playing no quarter.
They ain't playing the first prez either game.
One series.
One or two series.
Damn, they don't get, they ain't give us a half.
Not to the third game.
Well, it's only, it's only,
it's only, it's only three games now, huh?
Three, yeah.
Yeah, so the third game.
Hey, Joe, we play the half, damn they,
uh, the whole first half.
Yeah.
Or play, uh, play the first series of third quarter.
Mm-hmm.
All right.
See what you try to guys.
See what I'm working with.
Hey, Joe.
Hey, Joe, I love the practice so much.
I love the practice so much.
I love the preseason so much because I wanted to get my body as acclimated to game speed as fast as possible.
Joe, we can practice for 100 days straight, full pads against yourself, and you get in the game.
It's nothing like that.
Nothing like that.
It's fast as no matter what you do.
There's no way to duplicate and replicate the speed of an actual NFL game.
I don't care about to practice.
That's why I love them.
I agree.
I had coached.
Hey, I told this before, Joe, I would not come out the game in preseason.
I made Coach Lewis call a timeout.
You wanted to get your reps in.
What?
It's about one series.
Man, we came out and the tools went in.
I told the receiver to stay back, and I went back in the game again.
Hey, Ocho.
I understand what you're saying.
Rhythm and timing is everything, brother, especially in basketball.
So I can understand in football, you know, just, you know,
route running, being sharp on your plays.
to understand that part, just like basketball.
If you don't play, bro, you lose that rhythm and time
and it throw you all. Right.
Yeah. Yeah.
It definitely takes time.
And look, I needed to get reps, too. That's how I was on show.
I wanted to look. I understand, okay, we're going to go a series,
the first game, maybe two series or the quarter of the third,
the second game, and then we go into the half.
We go at bare minimum, we go into the half,
and normally we take the first series because, and sometimes we're like,
okay, we're going to use the first series.
in the third quarter, we're going to go two minutes.
So we're going to go hurry up just to get that in one time.
But, yeah, I needed a preseason.
Like, I don't know how they do it.
I take my hat off to these guys that come out there.
And I guess right now what they do it, Ocho, these are scripted practices against each other.
I guess that's their preseason game.
That ain't, that ain't foot.
That ain't pre.
No, no, it ain't the same.
Not even close.
But I'm anxious to see.
I'm anxious to see how I should do it.
Look, I don't care what anybody said.
You're going to be nervous.
I don't care how long you've been playing football.
This is every, every, every, every, every, I got nervous every game I played.
So it wasn't just a preseason.
I mean, I got butterflies and I got goosebumps every game that I played.
Same.
And you've been playing, I've been playing tackle football since I was nine.
And I still got nervous.
Hey, uh, when they, a, a Joe.
They play that field collins.
In the air of the night.
Oh, man.
When that thing played and you out there stretching.
Oh.
Hey, Joe.
Joe, right before kickoff and that welcome to the couple start playing.
I know what you're talking about.
But I'd be Joe, I'd be so nervous.
I'd be so nervous.
And for one, and I made it even worse on myself, Joe,
because I don't talk trash all week.
Oh, Joe.
It's saying Burrow and the starters will play the first quarter.
See?
I told me, I told me how that.
Hey, well, we go on the Super Bowl, boy.
Listen, I know, I know, hey, Zach,
hey, Zach Taylor, hey, Zach, I know you're going to see this.
I love you.
Hey, Joe Burrow, I love you.
T. Higgins, Chase, the rest of the receivers, the old line.
Now, this, this is what they doing, what they doing today?
What they doing tomorrow is going to be the reason why we're going to be in San Francisco.
I said it here first
I said it here first
Now watch how we come out week one in September
Who y'all got week one?
Rhythm
It don't even matter
Cleveland
I think we got Cleveland
No I'm serious
I think hey Chad
Chad who we got on week one
The Bengals we got Cleveland right
You know what me Ocho
I ain't like open up with division opponents
Let me get let me get my rhythm
Let me get some time
And let me get like two or three games in
Before I tell y'all look
That first game Ocho
you ain't got your time and your foot at,
you know, you ain't got your feet right yet, you know what I'm saying?
Let me get like three or four games.
Let me get your, let me see y'all week four, week five.
Okay, okay.
But y'all do open up,
y'all do open up with Cleveland.
Yeah, I knew.
I know I want you.
At Cleveland.
At Cleveland.
Oh, I got the schedule of my head.
I got the schedule of my head.
Hey, look, look.
It ain't nothing like getting off to a good star or neither, boy,
winning that first game.
Hey.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
You always want to get off to a good star, boy.
Yeah, you got to win that first game.
It ain't nothing like the A.
So the brother gives you should do one day of reps with the ones
for the very first time at the joint practice two days before start.
Let's see here for a second, chat.
So all this time, he ain't got no work with the one.
Not one, not one snap, not one rep.
He'll want to do it.
boy for the ball out man
a mysterious way
I'm telling you gonna go out there
take them boy right down the field
I'm just trying to figure out
if you're really trying to do an evaluation
Ocho how can I say I'm trying to evaluate
you when I don't give you the same
opportunities that I'm giving everybody else
that I'm evaluating
now Ocho I'm going to see if you can do this job
now the job requires a computer
but I ain't going to give you no computer
to, Ocho. But this is what I'm going to do. Oh, damn.
Them other guys ain't come to work today. Okay, Ocho, you up.
Here's the computer. Now, you ain't let me work the computer the whole damn time for two weeks.
But you know the funny thing about that on? Even though I wasn't able to work the computer for them two weeks,
when you put the computer in my hands, I'm a step better than those that's had it at their disposal
before me anyway. Hello. Hello.
I'm going to be better than those they had the computer
than other two weeks before me anyway
and I'm going to put it on display
under the lights at that
well I just thought like if you're evaluating
you evaluate under the same sort of circumstances
you can't say well you can't say well I'm going to see these two
if I got two pans and I'm going to see which one can stand
the temperature I got to put them under the same temperature
in order to do a proper value
I can't let one guy get no reps with the ones.
Only get a few reps with the threes and fours.
And now I get two days before, okay,
okay, you up son.
Yeah.
That's not an evaluation.
Evaluation is you put things
under the same set of circumstances
over the same amount of time.
I like it.
That's how you get boiling or you're
boiling or you get freezing temperatures
because guess what? It's going to
at 212, it's
going to boil. He's either going to bust pipes or make
diamonds, baby.
I'm ready.
This is an opportunity.
This is what he waited for.
This is what a lot of people
cheered for like, man, I sure hope he gets an
opportunity. I sure hope he gets
a chance to show what he can do.
And this is how
opportunity came about. I don't feel bad.
I know you saw this chat. I know y'all saw that. Joe, I'm not sure how often you
on Twitter, but, you know, I'm on there all day having fun, making a joke. But did you see
the meme, right? The mean, but I think it might have been the end of Kobe's career.
Kobe might have hit 60 at a game and all the celebrities there. And they used that, that clip
of Snoop Dog and Kanye, everybody was caught side. And they was here. They was hype, right?
I guess Kobe might have hit 60 or something.
Yeah, he is 60 that, yeah, gives you talk.
That's what it was?
Yeah.
And the caption was, this is, this is black Twitter.
When you do her throw his first eight-yard slant,
everybody goes to celebrate.
No, it is so funny.
Even Prime had to comment on it.
Eight-yard slat, his first completion.
Yeah, her completion.
His first completion, that people are going to be,
hey, man, that's the game winning the Super Bowl.
Hey, no, that was so funny.
Hey, what I think the race is going to be on this game,
Friday when they play?
Oh, it's going to be crazy.
Yeah, rating will be crazy because everybody tuning in the Cibor 12 and it do.
Yeah, for sure.
For sure.
It'll be the one.
Hell, this game might do a bigger rating than the real Brown's game.
Why, you boo?
No, no, real talk.
Yeah, you're right.
You're right.
You're right.
You're right.
When was the last time, the last time they had a player that was this talked about?
You probably got to go back to Baker Mayfield.
Yeah, probably, probably Baker
And the same thing happened to Baker
Remember?
You put Baker as the backup
And everybody was talking about Baker the backup
Yeah
Damn
I'm trying to make a thing that was talking about
Hey, this is how the big it is, oh Joe, Joe
It's a national televised name
Yeah
Cleveland in the preseason
The stage set, man
It's the A said time
Yeah
Oh, let me add a
little plot twist for yocho Cleveland Carolina Panthers national televised game
that's crazy ain't that's that's that's crazy ain't it it's crazy the power that last name
even though they try and to humble it let that sink in yeah go out there and pull the ball
out your door check out behind the flow a podcast document
series following the launch of San Diego Football Club.
We go behind the scenes and explore the stories of those involved.
San Diego coming to MLS is going to be a game changer because this region has been hungry
for a men's professional soccer team.
We need veteran players and we need young players.
Like you're building a team from scratch and so the succession plan of long-term success
needs to be defined.
We need to embrace this community.
When I was 13, my uncle took me to a
qualifier. And we watched
Ottawa against Chile, pouring
rain, just watching the fans
jumping up and down. I think that
was definitely a watershed moment for me.
Not only was that going to be my game,
but it was going to be my life.

I'm Jake Hofer, and this is Back 40, a limited series show on Wire to Hunt, part of Meat Eat Eaters Podcast Network.
Each episode, I'll be asking eight wide-tail hunting pros, a focused, thought-provoking question about hunting and land management.
How do I hunt the best part of the farm with less than ideal access?
Should you, that's what the real question is.
Stand without good access is not a good stand.

Devonte Adams doubts Travis Hunter can play both offense and defense.
He told the pivot, I don't even think it's possible to do for real, not at a high level.
Now, once you get out there playing both sides,
now you got to tackle Derek Henry with that frame.
Ocho, you and I have been saying this.
We're not saying, but when you play, you got to play at the level at the number two pick.
So you got to play at the number two pick at the Y receiver, the number two pick at the DB.
It ain't just going out there.
Well, he on both sides of the balls.
No, it don't work like that.
Right.
Doesn't.
So you tackle Derek, so let that sink in for a second.
You tackle Derek Henry.
Now you got to go over there and you got to try to get open against Alexander,
Marlon Humphrey, Nate Wiggins.
Yeah.
That's what you, that's what you up against.
Okay, you guard Cutler Sutton.
Now you get over against Pat Sartan.
bro these grown bro you're not playing they're no longer playing with study hall in mind they're not
playing for books they're not playing for tuition these are grown-ass men that have families
kids in private school wife that want to go on vacation for 12 to 14 days i got mom i got my
My wife's parents that I, it's a different game.
Yeah.
And so I get, I get exactly what Devante's saying.
Devante said, I ain't saying he can't do it.
I'm saying, can you do it at a high level?
Right.
That's all we're saying.
There's a reason why it used to be like that.
Chuck McNerrick was the last guy.
He was the middle line back in the center.
He was the last guy to play both ways.
There's a reason why they stopped the, Ocho.
Yeah.
There's a reason why.
There's a reason why
pitching and hitting.
Shohei started pitching again.
The hitting suffered.
You stop pitching, hitting went back up again.
It's not that complicated.
I know being the first,
but there's going to be an expectation level
that the level is here.
For DB and for a wide receiver.
And I'm telling you, they come.
coming. Ocho, you know when guys get drafted high at a position, they are coming.
Yeah.
Mm.
I think you're ready for it, though, Joe.
Hey, I think you're ready for it, you know?
So you think he's going to play at all pro, a pro bowl level on both positions?
I don't know about that.
No, maybe one position because he's going to be better at one, he's going to be better at one than the other.
I'm not sure which one that may be.
I'm not sure.
I mean, as of yet.
And I understand also with Devante hasn't.
with him not only playing at a high level,
playing on both sides as a ball at a high level
and making the risk of injury double.
You know, and it just, for one,
if you could sustain healthy
against grown men, you know,
having to feed their families,
I think he can do once he gets.
I want to see it.
Because I'm going to be playing.
I'm going to be,
I think people are going to be tuned in
a lot more to Jacksonville games this year
than in the previous.
previous but jacksonville all eight games probably sold out this year right yeah because because you
know you do got you got uh uh collins you got nico collins not go get them against stingley
hey hey hey uh that's what you got that's what you up again okay now you got to now you got
ward now you got to go guard those guys up in and and and and ending those three guys peers
and mitchell and and pitman junior Josh downs
Yeah, that's what you got.
Man.
That's what you got.
It's going to be like that every week, though.
Every week, there's no, in college, you know, it's an off week.
Absolutely.
The level of talent and the competition you're playing.
Boy, all 17, you're going to see them boys.
I think he's going to, every week.
All 17.
I think he's going to be better at receiver, you ask me.
I think playing that, playing that.
See, I thought, I think, I thought his skills were better at DB.
Man, that boy.
I think he had just, because the way he can just track the ball,
his instincts, oh, Cho, how he could, like,
he can be like watching, he fooled, he'll fool the quarterback like I'm thinking.
And then they throw it just flat and he jaded.
Yeah.
He got tremendous instincts now.
Now, right now, I think he's playing the receiver position
with a lot of athleticism.
Right.
He electric.
The really good ones, yeah, the really good ones,
you got to get technically sound.
You get sloppy with rows.
You start rounding these rows and you start.
getting lazy man they pick the a they rob you a hey you like a you like a tourist in a foreign
country they'll pick your pockets you know the funny thing about it is when he was at
colorado he can get away with it you know oh yeah you're going to have to be more technically
savvy at the NFL level because everyone in just as fast some people will be faster to you
everyone in just as quick some people may be quicker to you understanding what you
got across from you what you can get away with what you can and that's going to take time so
i think right now when he does win whether it's offensively and defensively it'll be based on
athleticism alone and those probably across some of them oh shoot is trabb maybe being scared
sometimes i mean i'm not scared you know what i'm trying to say because i think i think coen says
he's trying to get him under like 80% of the snaps on offense okay well you know he was playing
damn there 100% of the snaps on offense and and 98% of the snaps of the snaps
on defense.
Defense, yeah.
That was in college.
She didn't.
And I know he.
But like I'm saying, that's a lot of reps.
Because, you know, let's just say,
130 plays in the NFL.
Yeah.
That's a lot.
That's a lot.
That's a lot of plays.
I mean, I think the most plays I've ever played in an actual game,
I think I played like 92 snaps on offense.
That's the most I played in an NFL game.
That's a lot of plays.
Remember how you.
felt the day the day after morning after that game yeah imagine what trap going to feel like the
morning after that game both sides of the ball now he 20 20 21 so he might not be now i'll check
back with him when he 25 i'll check back with him when he 26 27 right right right because you know
when you're young old show me hey you play on sunday i can play again on tuesday but as a
Man, and you started getting older,
man, I ain't started feeling good until Friday.
Man, that's talking about it, man, please.
And like these guys having these Thursday games, Ocho, man, I'm glad they had.
I played one, I think I played Thanksgiving, my rookie year.
Right.
I was 22.
I'm glad, man, now can you imagine,
Ocho, you being 33, 34 years of age?
And you play Sunday, and you play Sunday.
and you got to turn right around again and play Thursday?
Hey, hold on, no.
Okay, Ojo, y'all play on a Sunday.
Y'all probably practice probably, what, Monday, I mean, Tuesday?
Nah, you're going to run.
You're going to run and lift in.
On Monday?
Yeah, Monday, yeah.
You go into watch film, get your lift in.
Tuesday, you got Tuesday off.
Then Wednesday is back at it.
Yeah.
Okay.
Now, in college, you're right, Joe.
You play on Saturday, you out there to pass on Monday.
They're going to work you in college, boy.
I don't care what nobody's saying.
Oh, what?
But you 18, 19.
That's the harder that worked in life.
I don't, I don't, I'll be honest with Jocho.
I don't remember, it's a long time ago, damn than 40 years.
But I don't remember being soaring college.
You remember being sore in college?
I remember after the NFL games.
I was never really sore, even though I played reckless.
I wasn't, obviously, you know, I wasn't physical.
But the only thing sore on me at the NFL games was my ankles.
Yeah, all that's starting to stop it.
I'm not trying to be funny.
Even when I was younger, I would have to turn to the side of the bed.
Yeah.
And then putting my feet on the floor and warm my ankles up just, just because the way I would
just start and stop.
It's about start and stop.
And Joe, I can run.
full speed, Joe, and stop on a dime.
Your feet be hurting the next day, though.
And, Joe, that next morning, oh, man.
I'm surprised.
I'm surprised.
I'm still able to hold up this long, Joe, at 57.
Like, I don't have no issues.
Damn.
Yeah, you're definitely blessed.
You definitely blessed.
Not to have no hip, no knee.
I mean, you know, seeing all those guys, you know,
going back to the hall this past weekend, on Joe,
and seeing all them guys that gotten hip replaced and knee
replaced and shoulder replaced and ankle
replaced. Hell, I didn't even know you can replace
ankles.
It's like you got to take care of yourself, man.
I try to.
Well, ain't no taking care of the health now. They ain't going to never
give me no more problem.
The doctor said, if long
you don't run, they'll last you the rest of your life. I said, you ain't got
worried about that, Doc. I say, even if somebody
get after me, I ain't be able to get away from it.
I ain't going to be able to get away.
from it, doc, you got me.
But I got, I mean, you got to, you got to listen to the interview because I know there
are a lot of people saying, man, Devante hate, Devante hate.
No, no, no, no. They got to hear it. They got a hit in its, in its entirety to understand
the context. Yes, yes. He's saying they can do it. I'm saying, do it at a high level.
Yeah.
Because, you know, like I said, I saw time do it a couple of times. Roy Green was the person,
the first person that I saw do it and did it at a high level. And then they say,
nah, you're just too valuable.
Do I receive?
We just go leave you over here.
Because if I'm not mistaken,
I think he started off like a D-beat.
And, you know, we saw time do it.
But, you know, I think Troy,
what's play for the Patriots?
Troy Brown.
Brown.
You know, he do.
But he, I mean, he's not going to play.
He wasn't.
Yeah.
He was mainly in the slot.
Yeah, yeah.
He wasn't as good a DB.
as he was a receiver because I think he went to the Pro Bowl a year or two at the at the at the wire receiver position but the expectation for Trav is like he's one of the favorites to not only win defensive rookie of the year but the offensive rookie of the year so that just goes to show you that the level that they're expecting him to play at hey a young what happened boy what joke what happened would have Traab do win both awards offensive rookie of the year and defensive rookie of the year and defensive rookie
everybody going to be shot it'd be the greatest it'll be the greatest look there've only been a
handful of guys uh jim brown um won MVP as a rookie right uh i think uh fred lind i think he won
MVP and baseball as a rookie i think west unsell won MVP as a rookie to win office and
defensive player the year that'll be the that'll be the that'll be the first he'd be the first to do
that it it i'll put it up there what magic did oh magic led a team
to the NBA Finals and won finals MVP.
I'd have to put it up there with that.
Think about it.
You the best player on the offense
and the best play on the defense as a rookie?
Right, right.
Man, that's possible, though.
I think it's possible.
Oh, my goodness.
Candace Parker did it?
And we'll, yeah, well, okay.
Will did it also, but we'll average like 100 points.
I mean, also, we talk about football now.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's different.
Yeah, I mean, there's no quillard because we don't have anything.
to like base it on Ocho.
We've never seen anybody play the kind of snaps
or kind of reps that he wants to play.
Right.
So it's hard for us to base.
Only, like I said, I saw time.
I was in the league when time was doing it
in Dallas in 95.
You know, what's called got hurt
and he was catching, catching pass.
And we know what he was on the defensive side of football.
I saw Troy Bryant.
I think I would, I had already retired by the time
Troy would do it.
But we've never seen a player
play at this.
I mean, like I said,
if you go back to the 50s and 40, 50th and when they were doing it,
oh, that's what I'm talking about in modern football.
Okay, let's go since the merger.
Let's do it like that.
Or the Super Bowl era, Ocho, because, you know,
man, we used to play both ways, bro,
but y'all had 12 players.
You had no choice but to play both ways.
But that being said, yeah, I mean,
a high level, that's the expectation.
It's like you, Ocho.
they expect Ocho to play at a high level.
Yeah.
Okay, whoever the DB is,
they expect him to play at a high level.
Now you're the same person.
They still expect that high level of play
whatever side of the ball that you're on
at that given time.
So I'm definitely going to be watching.
I'm going to be room for him.
I'm going to get him a couple of picks.
I'm going to get him a couple touchdown.
And often you see a guy get a pick out of touchdown now.
Yeah, he's going to be special, man.
I'm looking forward to that too.
I'm looking forward to the season, man.
This weekend ain't going to be fun
from here on now.
So it's going to be, it's going to be interesting.
Y'all season might not be going well
if y'all don't get Michael Parsons aside.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, chill.
Come on, now.
Come on now.
Are you heard what Jerry said today?
What he said?
I ain't see that one.
I ain't see it.
Oh, you missed it.
He just compared a deal when he bought the Cowboys.
All it was, it was based on a handshake.
A handshake?
Okay, okay, yeah, yeah, yeah.
And eye contact.
I'm like, hey, well, Jerry is 2025, man.
There's a reason why we have written contracts
because you know why, Ocho, that, Jerry's absolutely right.
A contract, before we had written contracts,
was a meeting of the minds.
Right.
I shake your head.
Ocho, you will give me a 20 bushel of grain.
Okay, I'm going to give you some cattle.
Oh, I'm going to give, I will give you something of equal value.
We have a handshake.
That was a meeting of the minds.
but guess what happened along the way somebody got what they were supposed to get and in return
didn't return what they were supposed to give right so they say you know what we got stopped this
here so you know and judge judy say hey that's 60 this right here that that 60 if you don't hear
that's what i need to know because we know people to say one thing and do something else
now an oral contract is it mean some states
that's enforceable.
But Jerry, no.
That man was talking about being leadership.
He's going to get him signed, man.
But you know, Ocho, if a guy has an agent,
you're not supposed to do a deal with a player.
You're not supposed to talk to the player,
especially concerning, concerning anything
you're having to do contract and numbers.
Because the first thing the only going to do is,
hey, let's be buddy, buddy,
and they're going to try to undermine you.
They definitely not going to give you.
what your value is, what your worth is.
No, absolutely not.
They're trying to save money, you know.
And the one thing you have to understand,
Joe and Chad, this is for y'all as well,
is when you are a billionaire,
in order to get to that point,
you have to be very shrewd when it comes to business.
You got to step on a lot of people, Joe,
along the way to get to that kind of wealth.
Yeah.
I don't think people understand that.
No, you got to be cut.
You got to be ruthless.
The owners are not on art.
they're not on our side and never have been.
Especially if you build it.
Now, if somebody leave it to you, Ocho, your dad was worth $15 billion and he leaves you
and Chauncey, that's one thing.
But for him to climb to that ladder and to get that money, oh, yeah, he stepped on a lot
of people, stepped on, stepped over, stepped around, all that.
Yeah.
And you know, you know what I wish?
You know what I wish?
What you wish?
This is no disrespect, chat.
This is for y'all too, Joe.
And for people that have attained and amassed an extreme amount of wealth,
there's always a way they got there.
There's always a loophole that give you one huge jump to get to a certain degree of it
and it continue to build it off like you did it all the right way.
I'm going to leave it at that.
I don't want to get too far into it.
I don't want to get too far into it.
But y'all, y'all, y'all can catch a, you can.
catch what you catch. If you can't catch it, get your hands right.
All right. We got a special guest joining us.
He's logging in as we speak.
Juve is our baby?
One of the members of the hot boys, 400 degrees.
Here he is. Louisiana on.
Juvie. What do, Jew?
Oh, man, cool, man.
I'm in the studio right now
doing some shit.
Cooking it up.
Working on my album.
Yeah, trying to finish up.
Oh, you got out on something.
You know what?
We ain't going to talk about anything else.
Go ahead and tell us about what you got coming out.
Oh, my album is called a boiling point, bro.
It's shit is crazy.
There's some grown-man music.
I recognize this is a lane for me right now
because everybody's doing it, you know, doing their thing.
So I feel like it's a gap right there for us.
and I'm trying to fill that gap.
Oh, see, Juby, you're thinking like I'm thinking.
You thinking like I'm thinking.
There's a gap, there's a lane that you're standing right,
that nobody's in right now.
Right.
So since we on the same page,
I really think I should be on the aisle.
I put pylons up, so he can't get in that lane, Juv,
that's why I put pylons up because I know where he was going.
Listen, I got it.
I could shoot a quick 16 to you right now real quick
in case you want to use me for, you know,
I don't know.
You got bars,
nigga?
I got bars,
what?
No.
16 canals.
The only thing
he's going to shoot,
blow.
Hey.
This is crazy.
I'm from Miami.
What you want to do?
Okay,
that's enough.
That's enough.
That's enough.
That's too much.
That's too much.
That's too much.
Hey.
The cash money is
30th anniversary.
I might have to hook some shit up for you.
Let me know.
Let me know.
Listen,
I could always use another.
the job, right?
God, damn, he got all the jobs.
Shit.
Doobie, 30 years?
Yeah, man.
30 years. 30 years, bro.
Damn.
Does it seem that long to you?
Say that again?
Does it seem that long to you?
No, it really seems long when somebody tell it to me.
You know, you know what I'm saying.
Like you, you're in the NFL when somebody bring up the NFL and stuff like that.
You're playing and feel like, damn, damn, it's been at home, damn.
I try not to harp on it, but when people said, I look back out.
I'd be like, damn, I can't believe this shit, 30 years.
I'm like, uh, James Brown right now.
Joe, we don't know if this is true, but what's being reported is that Turk left.
He exited early, um, with tensions with BG.
Is there anything you can shed light on?
Is that true or towards over or what's going on?
Well, from what, it came from the higher up.
So I really don't know.
what the paperwork said,
they sent him some paperwork I heard.
So I don't really know what the reason was.
So it got to kind of like let us know
but they got us in the blind on what really happened.
I don't know if that was their reaction
because of what was, you know,
what he was saying on the internet or something like that.
Right, Julie.
But I truthfully don't know what the real,
you know, what the real reason was.
He said it was money.
He said it was money, right?
So maybe it was that.
I really don't know, bro.
you know niggas ain't taking no shard a bag once you commit to having a bag a certain way
you know you you're expecting to come back and change the deal and yeah yeah yeah but i really
don't know bro because i ain't see his paperwork but i really know man on connection man go ahead joe oh man
oh man hey juvie man check this out back in 98 98 high boys came to little rock
arkansas man bar in colisell that was my first concert ever bro
Y'all came and towed that thing down.
You hear me?
Little Rock.
Yeah, yeah.
We called Little Rock.
Hey, Little Rock.
Yeah, I came and told that time.
Y'all ain't get to finish, though, because then boys won't stop.
Hey, man.
Every time we was going there, man, to the Little Rock, man.
It was like that.
Kind of like Oakland.
That's like a third world country, bro.
You ride to ride up these highways and these.
Get there, it's like, damn, bro.
And they're different out there, though.
They're thugging.
Hey, can y'all just let us one time finish the concert?
Let us get out.
We try to get y'all, y'all, y'all two hours, but damn.
Telly.
Man, man, we was banned from Oakland like that for like 10 years, man.
He wouldn't let us get down at Oakland because of that.
Damn.
Yeah.
Hey, hey, Jew, when it comes to making an album, right, you know,
I think as fans of hip-hop in general, we don't know the ends
announce on how things work, but I think it's just
interesting, and I'm sure the chat will probably know, how
long does it actually take to finish an album?
You know, we're used to just getting the finished
product, but we don't know much about what goes
into production and studio
time and all that other good stuff. How long does
normally take an album?
Man, everybody has their own different
way of doing things. Like for me,
for me, my time, you know, it's when
I got some free time. So with me, man,
I can knock out three or four songs in the night.
So, because I'm, I'm,
and I'm doing everything by myself.
I really don't have nobody in the studio.
And then I got full access to studio time all the time,
so I'm not paying for it.
So for me, man, it's however long I want it to be.
But I can get an album done right.
Like I would say, if I'm focused, like, a month's time,
something like that.
Hey, let me, in order to be a rapper,
do you have to be a night out?
Do anybody work normal business hours?
Or do everybody else?
Yeah, I'm all day with it.
I don't have, like, I really don't have a time.
Whenever I feel it, I'm going.
But a lot of them cats don't go in the studio like,
Wayne, man, Wayne being, going in at 3 o'clock in the morning.
I'm like, how you do that?
But, you know, I guess it's them going to the clubs,
leaving out of the clubs, going straight to the studio,
having that just keep that vibe that you had.
Because a lot of us get our ideas while we're out and about.
Hey, look, when you're in the studio,
what kind of vibe you got to know?
You like to be dolo?
or you kind of, you know, you have some people in there just, just vibe.
This is right here.
Look, look, look, look, look.
I'm giving you a 360.
Damn, you, you, you ain't got nothing on it now.
Hey, you know how to work?
It's just me, buddy.
Well, I used to hang with digit design when they first started Pro Tools in Nashville
and stuff like that.
So I've been touching the stuff since the beginning.
So, yeah, I'm so low.
You know how to work everything in there?
I know how to work everything, put the studio together, wiring.
I understand all of it, bro.
You got to remember, I make lamps.
I'm an electronic guy, so I make all kinds of, I can build all kinds of stuff.
So, wires, you know, wires and stuff like that.
That's my thing.
Well, maybe you can help Joe.
I tell Joe his, his, come on there with some trash.
And you can wide out of time and age, Joe.
It's okay.
Hey, the devil working, baby.
We fight.
We fight.
I see you was blitching, bro.
You all right, though.
Yeah.
What kind of service you got?
Uh, I think we got, uh, $1.
Come on. Come on, come on, cheer.
Ocho, they didn't that funny thing, bro.
They ain't that funny. Come on, now.
You, let me, Jovey, when you made back that ass up,
did you have any idea that you was going to be making a song
that will stand the test of time?
When that song comes on, they're hitting the floor.
I was just trying to get the women to shake some ass,
but I was, you know, I was trying to keep it real.
I figured if I said something
to make the women shake their ass
I would get them because I came from that
right out. I was making that kind of music
from the start. So it was kind of like
back to that stuff was easy for me to make.
The other songs was kind of hard for me to make
but songs like that, booty shaking
records, that's simple for me.
I'm in there right now
making a booty shaking record.
Hey, when that beat drop was a rap.
Yeah, all day.
All day, man.
Man, Enfrette's a bad, motherfucker, dog.
You're a bad motherfucker, bro.
Bad.
Dude different, bro.
And when he make, when Man and Fresh make a beat,
it's more like you're competing with him
because he's trying to beat you out.
Like, he's not trying to just make a beat to compliment you.
He's like, look, niggas, you better do your fucking thing
and I'm about to shine on this bitch.
And don't let him have a verse.
Watch how many bricks he going to have on this verse.
That bitch is going to break down.
You hear him on back that ass or, man.
Yeah.
Who will you come in?
I say, damn, nigga, you got everything playing on your part, nigga.
Hey, listen.
So when you hear the beat, you kind of go into whatever thought process you have,
or do you already go in with a preconceived or what you want to talk about?
I listen to the beat, the beat.
I follow the music, man.
The music most of the time give me ideas and directions to go.
You feel me?
But the fact that out on right, I just sit here and just think of my thoughts and put them down.
So I got to be one of them cats.
That's why I got to be hands-on.
That's why I don't like engineers
because engineers don't really understand
when I want them to hit record
and when I want them to stop.
They don't understand your instincts.
That's why I tell all the artists, all the young cats,
man, learn how to record yourself.
You're going to hear you, you're going to make your best songs
when you learn how to record yourself.
I know.
That's dope.
That's live.
Did you, let me ask you question.
What way did you decide to get back in the studio
is it like man
I ain't really happy
with both being out there today
it's just my time to get back in the studio
what made you decide to go back into the studio
man that tiny that's performance
spark my fire bro
okay you know just letting people
when people realize that
nah this nigga really can rap these songs
fuck the music this nigga can sing this shit
that shit sparked my fire
you know what I'm saying that shit like got me back
on the road got me back got me back
gone you always it's always
something it's always that little
something that gets you
going. You know what I'm saying? And that shit,
you're like, you know what? Fuckin, I'm about to run.
Fuck that. I'm about to take this shit
and running. And that's what that was for me.
You know, and I don't
deny it. You know, I always tell people like,
man, shit, everybody needs something.
You know, everybody needs something.
Everybody needs somewhere to start.
You know what I'm saying? You, for instance,
bro, you're a fucking interview with Cad Williams. You took
that shit in, you know what I'm saying?
Yep. And that's with that, that's the same
it had the same effect that Tiny Desk did for me
because not only that,
a lot of audits had to go after me
and now that standard is up there.
Now they got to like top me.
Not saying that motherfuckers ain't can't outperform me and shit,
but it's a standard now.
And everybody who go on Tiny Desk now,
they know like, man, we gotta fuck that.
I got to outdo you.
But you know what, Juvie?
Going on the Tiny Desk,
you have to perform a different way that you normally would.
And people got to see you on a different light.
They're like, okay.
He really, I mean, yeah.
I mean, it wasn't the, the beat wasn't overpowering.
The music wasn't so loud.
It's distorted.
You can hear, you can hear every single thing that you're saying.
He's like, oh, that's what he was saying.
I've been saying it wrong all the year for 25 years.
I've been saying it wrong.
I had a cheat code, though, bro.
You know, I had John Battis and Trumbon started with Manning Fresh and a 40-degree band.
So I kind of had a cheat cold.
I bought all the guns out.
I bought everybody with me like,
that I'm going to make this shit something big
if I can, you know?
Well, you definitely turned it out.
That was a hell of a performance.
Thank you, dog.
Thank you.
Yeah.
Being from Louisiana,
you know a thing or two about food.
See how you said it?
You said it like us.
Because we say Louisiana.
Louisiana.
We don't lost so fucking much, man.
We need some wins, nigga.
Yeah, anybody tried to go to Louisiana.
Ain't nobody.
Louisiana.
Louisiana, nigga.
Outside of your home state.
where you've had some of the best cooking at
man you know
I lived in Atlanta for like
for like seven years so I had some good
cooking in Atlanta bro
yeah yeah I would say Miami
I had some Cuban food that was fucking off the
chain
man it varies bro but
I would I would definitely
give Atlanta their props man
because they cover a lot of ground with food
yeah yeah if they
if they stop tried you 700
now you're gonna pay for it
You're going to pay for it.
You don't pay for it.
And Beck, you wait.
There's two people in there.
Oh, we got an hour to wait a time.
And there ain't but two people in here.
What do you mean they got to wait an hour?
But you know the truth, man.
I'm from the cooking capital.
Us in the Orleans boys, we don't really like to eat too much food out of New Orleans.
We like our shit.
Man, y'all be putting too much hot sauce to y'all food.
No, man.
Man, I'm putting too hot.
You probably talk to the wrong people, man.
You can't go to the restaurant.
And no, it's not good.
I can't taste nothing.
You eating that fucking restaurant shit, man.
I'm not not shitting on the restaurants in the city,
but it's some old ladies and shit like that,
some family members down here that's going to give you that real.
You got to get that real, bro.
Matter of fact, hey, speaking of real, Judy,
I got something for you.
I know you like food.
You like restaurants.
Obviously, New Zealand being one of the capitals
when it comes of cooking and restaurants.
I think Chicago is up there as well, obviously, New York.
But next time you come to Miami, I need you to try two places for me.
I need to try two places for me.
There's a place called Acrebe.
My young bull owned Acrebe, really good food, breakfast, lunch.
I'm not sure if they do have dinner.
But if they don't have dinner, then you got to try another restaurant called Smith and Webster.
One of my young bulls on Smith and Webster.
Man, superb, superb.
You need to add that to you.
You know what I like in Miami?
They got just a little breakfast spot, man.
Everybody go to.
It's a small little spot
It's like a little spot
It's like a little family spot
It closed at 2 o'clock
I don't even remember the name of it
But they got fishing grits
That'd be
MLK?
MLK or Jackson's
I think that's an MLK
I think that's it
I'll be fucking a name up man
But the fish is off the fucking chain
Fishing grish is up the chain
Is it in the hood
It's in the hood
Yeah it's probably
That's probably MLK
Yeah it's in the hood
Everybody fuck
They know me
I'm in that bitch so much
Oh Joe what's
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, it's some food.
Like, I think it's right off, right off 20 seconds by Drew,
Drew Middle School.
Drew, you're eating, you eat nutrient down now?
You eat that little rodent?
Fuck no.
I don't eat that weird shit, bro.
I don't fuck with none of that weird shit, bro.
Man, y'all be eating pork.
I don't eat pork.
I don't eat potato.
I don't eat no gator or none of that shit, bro.
You don't eat no gator?
I go out there with my, man.
out there with my people and try to catch one of them
motherfuckers, but I ain't eating that shit.
Nah, not me.
I don't do none of the strange shit.
You know, hey, you know y'all be,
y'all be whipping it up to my, oh, this good,
y'all don't add it to something.
No, man, my family cook all that, man.
Chittling's everything.
I just, I don't eat it, bro.
I never ate it.
I can't do it.
I'm out of the house once they start cooking.
I'm gone.
Yeah, see, and the size, you know,
they cook, that pot look.
They put everything in the pot.
You look, you don't key you.
You got to get some stuffed bell peppers, man.
Man, I'm surprised.
The first time I ever had Gator was in New Orleans, man.
Yeah, I'm not.
But you got to cook it, and it got to be hot because it's gaming.
And you can't eat it.
I'm talking about you got to get it right out to grease.
I can't eat that shit, bro.
I go to thinking about this motherfucker crawling through the swabby shit.
I can't fucking.
And ketchup.
You need to eat.
They put ketchup all over everything.
I can't do it.
that either. I ain't no catching a hit either.
So, Julie, when the album is, so do you have any idea
of when the album's going to drop? We're looking at September, man, but that day can
easily be moved because I'm so meticulous on how I want this album
and sound, and I just feel like I need to do, like, one or two more songs
right now, and that's what I'm in here doing right now.
The tour.
The tour? Hold on. The tour is still going on?
Yeah, the tour still going on. I think they moved some of the dates back,
though. But I know I'm about to go on a promo run.
So they got to figure this.
They got to figure the logistics out of that.
Okay. All right.
You know, I'm a show guy. Me, I'm a show. I'm one of
them guys that, uh, my calendar
stay full, man. You know, I've been blessed to always be able
to do a lot, you know, get booked.
Man, I do a lot of shows, bro. So
I never been short in that department at all.
I got you.
So shoot, why are you finishing up that studio? I mean,
while you finished up that album, just let me know how I can
sing that verse.
You know, you don't have to use it, but if you want to put it in there,
you know, it's getting you something to work with.
You got to do some Luke Skywalker's shit, man.
You got to get some booty shaking, bro.
You got to, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Your verse can't be spitting bars, bro.
You got to get the ladies, right?
I got you.
I got you.
I get it.
The ladies don't understand bars.
What they do, but then some of the majority of the women, they don't want to hear that.
They want to get their dance on.
Okay, we could do that too.
I used to be the DJ
and the man on the mic
back in the day at King of Diamond.
That was me.
Man, he could go.
Here he can go.
You putting something on that one, nigga.
I'd have been in there a few times.
I ain't never seen you back there.
That was me.
That was me on the mic.
That was me.
I was there when you came.
Yeah, I ain't seen that.
Was it Chad or Ocho?
Which one was it?
I was Chad back then.
Okay.
Hey, listen, you got to think I had,
listen, even when I had like 27 jobs,
back then.
Damn, my
nigga.
Damn.
Hey, Juv.
I missed it,
Nick.
I missed it.
I missed it.
Hey,
Juvvah,
you got any features
on this new album
coming up, bro?
Yeah,
I got features,
man.
I got some features on here.
Some cash
supposed to be
featured on here.
They ain't showed up for me.
You give us one.
Just give them one feature.
Who you got on there?
They're going to be talking about something.
Cash money.
All right.
Say,
say let.
Say,
say,
everybody.
I don't.
I know we've got to be on that thing.
Cash money.
We've got to be a baby.
Hey, Juvie.
Hey, congratulations on everything.
Outstanding career.
Good luck on the tour.
Man, we can't wait for this album to drop in September.
Come, hey, the day before, a couple of days before, come back and tell us.
Come back to talk to it.
I got you.
I'm going to let you all hear something, man.
You got to check out some of these music, but before it come out.

Yeah, all I got to do, give me 10 minutes, Joe.
You know that notepad, the notepad I got filled up with all your quotes the past year?
Yeah, yeah.
You give me 10 minutes, give me a beat, let me think of situations and variations that I've been to in life.
I can put it down on paper, and man, listen, when it's done right, the artistry of my pen is magnificent.
You hear me?
Like, Joe, I really do that, Joe.
All right.
Joe, he can't eat right in cursing.
Hey.
I don't understand.
Hey, Joe, you don't understand.
Joe, I was a drama and theater major, Joe.
Like, I can go to all.
Oh, you guys are drama.
Huh?
This is somebody's a drama and theater major.
Now, you just told us, you know,
the four jukeles and you're going to tell about you
a drama and theater major.
Right.
See, that was the easiest classes for me to get credit
to be able to play football.
That's why I was, you know,
you understand.
You see what I'm going with that?
No, drama and theater ain't easy.
So what you, Shakespeare is?
Wait, hold on.
For me, drama and theater is very easy.
I can get into character quick.
Right now, I can recite, I can recite Shakespeare.
Yeah, I know we, we, we watching one.
We're looking at it.
Okay, okay, okay.
We don't.
What's wrong with this dude?

Okay, listen. Hey, Joe, I was a drama major. I was a theater major. Watch how I, watch how I, watch how I
Take your time.
Take your time.
Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind.
Therefore, a winged cupid painted blind.
Thank you.
Hey, boy, you're hell-o-wil, boy.
You're so bad.
Hey, no.
No, when they say you're special, bro,
you, hey, you're a special dude, bro.
So what wrong with you.
Hey, listen, man.
Listen, hey, listen.
When I was in high school,
I was in a little cubicle in the back, man.
But it's all good.
Way in the back.
Little classroom, little cubicle.
Yeah, I know my baby saw that.
I know you watching.
That was for you.
I wrote that.
I wrote that.
That came from here.
So you said you had the hard rock on Tuesday night?
Yeah, I do, yeah, oh, Joe, I do, um, spoken word.
Yeah, man.
I want me to give you another, I can give you another one right now,
off the top of the head.
You want one, you want one?
Go ahead, give it one more, why not, why not, go ahead.
Yeah, you do one more thing, one more, one more.
Okay, snap with me, snap with me then.
Come on, honk, snap with me, Joe, come on.
Many nights, rainfalls,
or umbrella calls.
Dog walks, cat screams, nails a crock of chalkboard, oven, stove, refrigerator, silver, Wentworth.
Not many days do they have like this.
Today's Wednesday, they call it hum.
Why would it be a day?
