He's a golf aficionado he loves his wine he's trying to become a simile uh we'll see how that's going down the route that's going down the road but hey make sure you check out swish on all of his platforms par three podcast well let's get right into it guys the heat beat the brakes off the lakers 134 what you thought was gonna happen which They were down by as many as 43 points at one point in time. Swish,
Starting point is 00:07:10 what the hell going on with the Lakers? They played the heat. Ain't nothing you can do. Ain't nothing you can do. No, it ain't just the heat, dog. It ain't just the heat, man. I got to give my boys some help. They got to give my boys some help, man.
Starting point is 00:07:27 I don't know what, I don't know what's the situation. I don't know what the trading move is, but you already got a new coach. You got a new system. You got a new everything. Y'all love the coach. Everybody ramping and raiding.
Starting point is 00:07:38 So it's got to be the players at this point, right? I mean, obviously you playing the best team in the East. What you expect was going to happen? You playing the best team in the East. Y'all not even the best three, four teams in the East. Then you said the best team in the East. What you expect was going to happen? Y'all not even the best three, four teams in the East. They said the best team in the East? Y'all better than the Celtics.
Starting point is 00:07:50 Hold on, hold on, hold on. Who the best team in the East? The Cavaliers and the Celtics. Man, y'all some front runners, man. Nobody care about no Cavaliers or Celtics. Y'all not better than the Knicks, to be all the way honest. They're not. You're not. Y'all don't want to bet the way honest. They're not. You're not.
Starting point is 00:08:06 Y'all don't want to bet none. Y'all don't want to bet none who come out the East this year. Y'all ain't coming out the East. I ain't going to lie, man. As a matter of fact, y'all not even coming out of the state of Florida. Because Orlando better than y'all while you bumping up. I was going to say Orlando. You know what?
Starting point is 00:08:18 Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Listen, what the Lakers got with a small step aside is what's going to happen to the rest of the goddamn league the rest of the season. But go ahead. I'm going to let y'all finish. Nah, Lakers
Starting point is 00:08:29 ain't, Lakers in bad shape right now, man. They're just in bad shape right now, bro. You got to figure out for one, you got to figure out Bron situation. Like, granted, he's Bron and he is. Granted, he's Braun
Starting point is 00:08:45 and he is who he is. At this point in time, we've never seen it before so it looks different. But you got to, unfortunately, he's going to have bad games. It's going to happen. Not bad games, but it's just not going to happen.
Starting point is 00:09:01 It's not going to be games where we're accustomed to seeing him have. So the supporting cast needs to be a strong number one and let him play two and three, four got to figure it out. But they got to play better.
Starting point is 00:09:18 They got to play better. They do. But you know, simple philosophy. If you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always gotten. The only thing they changed was the coach, where the results after 21 games are the same, 12-9. What have you changed player-wise?
Starting point is 00:09:30 Nothing. So what did you expect? We see Anthony Davis playing at an MVP level. Yeah, LeBron is not as efficient. Yeah, he's gone 0 for 24 from the three. Yes, he's averaging like 16 points in his last six, seven games. I get all of that. But he's still averaging 22, 9, and 8, which is good stats.
Starting point is 00:09:52 But you're comparing him to a younger LeBron. You're comparing him to a 25, a 30, a 35-year-old LeBron James. So if you look at those, you look at his numbers now at 40, damn near 40, a couple of days away from 40, compared to what you're used to seeing, no, they look bad. He's not playing good. There's no way around that, JR.
Starting point is 00:10:09 And he's turning the, what makes it worse is that he's playing bad and he's turning the ball over at an alarming rate on top of it. So it compounds the problem. Now, there's a lot of things that I think could possibly be going on, JR. You let me know what you think.
Starting point is 00:10:23 I think maybe the Olympics, maybe he was a little tired. But also, he had five triple doubles in, say, 68, 70 games last year. He has six in 21. You know what it takes. It takes a lot of effort. You can say what you want to say about Russ,
Starting point is 00:10:39 but to get a triple double, ain't like the rebound that come in directly to you. You got to chase some rebounds. No. And you got to put the ball on the floor. You got to steal some rebounds, though. You got to steal some rebounds. Ain't no way around it. You got to steal some
Starting point is 00:10:53 stats. You got to be somewhere you're not supposed to be on purpose. That's a lot of energy. And I don't know, like I said, I don't know if he's hurt. I don't like to speculate on what's going on with LeBron, because like I said, I don't know if he's hurt i don't like to speculate uh uh what's going on with lebron because like i said i don't know i'm just thinking i mean at 39 years of age and you play in olympics you didn't take that time off it was very important to him to play in the olympics
Starting point is 00:11:15 because he knew that was going to be the last time that he got an opportunity to play on the international stage with steph and kd now he had played on the international stage with kd but he had never played with Steph. And I don't think that was an opportunity that he was willing to pass up, even if it meant probably at some point early in the season compromising his play during the season. Another thing, and then I'm going to let you have it. I don't know what he gets out of playing 82 games.
Starting point is 00:11:39 I understand that as you get older, you value games more because you realize you have less of them, Swish. But playing 82 games at the age of 39, almost 40, that doesn't benefit him. And because I don't think it's going to change anybody's mind because, oh, man, he played 82 games at 40. Nobody's going to look at LeBron and think any more or any less of him because he didn't play 82 games. And so I think at some point in time, he's going to have to probably sit down for a game or two. And that's okay. That's okay.
Starting point is 00:12:09 I don't know. I know he wants to play because the one thing that we can honestly say is that Swish, as we start to get, Ocho, you go through this. As we start to get closer to the end, hey, you love the game even more because pretty soon it ain't going to be no more. Yeah. It's over. I know what I don't like, though. Go ahead, O soon. It ain't going to be no more. Yeah. So I know,
Starting point is 00:12:26 I know. I don't like though. I know what I don't like tonight. Well, I respect, I respect both of your, your basketball knowledge. I respect both of your basketball prowess and understanding of the game,
Starting point is 00:12:36 but I don't appreciate y'all saying, making these excuses for LeBron. I don't, I don't like that. I don't like the fact that y'all are not giving the Heat credit for putting belt-to-ass to the Lakers. And that's what happened tonight. Had they not been struggling...
Starting point is 00:12:51 Hold on, hold on. All these different excuses and Olympics and being tired and playing 82 games and who they need to bring in and he need help. No.
Starting point is 00:13:00 The Heat put belt-to-ass tonight. Simple as that. Okay. Can you explain the other family games they lost in eight? Did you see Tyler Harrell tonight? Yes. He had 31.
Starting point is 00:13:10 Yes. He had 31. But when we're trying, what Swish and I are trying to explain, it's not just the game. We're trying to explain what's going on with LeBron because tonight he played great. He was 12 of 18. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:24 If he'd been playing like this, we wouldn't have this discussion. Listen, that's how you know ain't nothing wrong with him. LeBron is human. LeBron is going to have bad games. You know? Sometimes, like playing baseball,
Starting point is 00:13:34 sometimes you go in the slump. Sometimes you ain't seeing the ball like you always do. It happens. Sometimes the receiver, sometimes you drop the ball. Sometimes you drop the ball and you have a bad game.
Starting point is 00:13:44 That's it. LeBron is human. That's it. Bond is human. That's all he's showing us. Let me ask you a question. If you have six, eight games and you drop five passes a game, you don't think anybody's going to ask what's wrong with Ocho? I thought so. Nah.
Starting point is 00:14:00 If you drop two passes. You and I both know. If you drop one pass for two, three games in a row, they're going to ask. Now, imagine dropping four to five pass. Imagine you had in a game like in Joku on Monday night, but you had three or four of those in a row. What do you think people are asking, Ocho? Yeah. Hey, I'm going to have to put me aside and talk to me in the office.
Starting point is 00:14:21 Exactly. But you don't think it's a little different for basketball though, for basketball. So they touch the ball so many times going up and down the floor and transition. You think it's a little different, even though he's having the turnovers, the nice,
Starting point is 00:14:33 he's not shooting. Well, the fact that they got the ball in the hand so much, it's kind of hard to make that kind of comparison or am I true? No, it's the inefficiency. It's the vast inefficiency. Right.
Starting point is 00:14:44 You got to talk about a guy that no matter how he shoots the ball, he's normally shooting 50%. Ocho, he's shooting less than 40%. That's what's the alarming part. Yeah, we know he's a streaky shooter from the three-point line. So we're not expecting him to be Clay or Dame Lillard or Steph Curry because he can get hot and make seven, eight, or nine, but he can be cold.
Starting point is 00:15:09 But Ocho, he went 0 for 24 from the three. Hey, you know what? You see, this is what I like. This is a testament to LeBron's greatness. Yes. That we finally see him be human, shoot under 50%, and all of a sudden we're questioning that same greatness because he's been great for so goddamn
Starting point is 00:15:26 long. But Father Time is undefeated. We saw that with Tom. Did Tom last year did he look like he looked the previous year? No. No, he didn't. It happens quick. And the greatness. I don't know, man.
Starting point is 00:15:42 I don't know. I don't think it's that with Bron. I think I find him a lot of the times when I look at the games and I do watch him play. And honestly, I don't watch as much as I used to. It just seems like he's disinterested. It's early in the season. He knows he's got to have an opportunity to be there in a certain time.
Starting point is 00:16:04 I don't think he's got the true pieces to be in the right position. There's so many different factors that go into it. It's just like you find yourself disinterested. Sweet, do you think it's a situation where he like, man, he looks around. Man, we ain't really got no chance to compete for a title. Who are we kidding? Nah. You might.
Starting point is 00:16:26 100%. I think he 100% think that at times. Because you look around the league and you look at teams who got better, who's already better than them. OKC. And they got better. OKC. But you still got a team like a Boston who one chip kept everybody.
Starting point is 00:16:44 Then you got a team like Golden State who one chip kept everybody. Then you got a team like Golden State who's in your conference who's arguably in the situation every year. They playing really good ball. And you,
Starting point is 00:16:55 like, you got teams around you that's like continuously the Clippers waiting on Kawhi to get back.
Starting point is 00:17:01 Kawhi coming back. Minnesota's still looking good. Like, he coming back eventually, but it's just so many instances in L.A. Y'all the Lakers, but y'all still, now it's like, if Kawhi come back and the Clippers get rolling, rolling, y'all going to be the B team in L.A.? I think the thing, James Worth is sounding off against the Lakers. This is what he had to say.
Starting point is 00:17:26 They need to get on the bus tonight and get some White Castle burgers and drive to Atlanta. And they need to think about who they are and what they need to do because what they're doing right now ain't even close to Laker basketball. Not even close.
Starting point is 00:17:42 I mean, look, guys, I mean, who we kidding they put D-Lo on the bench and he gave a little spark but your bench was a problem last year but you brought everybody from last year's team back Rui has been inconsistent
Starting point is 00:17:57 that's who he is D-Lo has been inconsistent that's who he is Jared Vanderbilt has been nicked that's who he is Gabe Benson hadnbilt has been nicked. That's who he is. Gabe Benson hadn't shot the ball since he left Miami. I'm not breaking news.
Starting point is 00:18:14 Now, that's not to... I mean, AD can't go 3-14. AD didn't play well last night. Was it last night? Yeah, I think last night. The night was a back-to-back. And LeBron and AD, they played well, but LeBron has had a bad stretch, the worst stretch of Was it last night? Yeah, I think last night. The night was a back-to-back. LeBron and AD, they played well, but LeBron has had a bad stretch,
Starting point is 00:18:30 the worst stretch of his career, and we're trying to piece together what it is. I don't think he'll play that way. Do I think LeBron's going to average 20 points for the season? No. He might not average 25, but I think he'll be somewhere 23, 24. I'm going to be honest with you. To average 20, it's not easy.
Starting point is 00:18:51 So if he averages 20, if Brian comes out of this season and he just averages 27 and 7 or 26 and – No, he's going to average more than that. That's a great number, though. average more than that. That's a great number, though. Think about it. You're talking about a guy that has 21 straight years of averaging at least 25 points.
Starting point is 00:19:15 21 straight seasons. The only person that's ever averaged 15 straight seasons of 25 is he and KD. So that just... That's crazy. Just to give you better context for both of y'all obviously you both know the game
Starting point is 00:19:30 of basketball. You know I hoot. You know I hoot when I was in high school. And to give you an example I played football when I was in high school too. Now I'm talking about I hoot that beach out and I average even as a freshman. My freshman my freshman year to my senior year
Starting point is 00:19:45 I averaged 35 a game right so it's a testament to how good LeBron was his longevity and being able to do what he's done
Starting point is 00:19:53 like 21 years that's like a that's like a little comparison between me and LeBron a little bit no ain't no comparison hey Ocho
Starting point is 00:20:00 I ain't gonna lie if I said I had 35 touchdowns my junior year that would be equivalent to what you just told me. That's doable. I only had eight, and I felt like that was a lot.
Starting point is 00:20:12 That ain't a lot. You talking about average of 35? Yeah, average of 35, you gotta understand. I was supposed to go to the NBA. No. Ocho, who was you playing? 6A, the best in the business down here in Miami nah
Starting point is 00:20:28 you weren't playing in your year he was supposed to go to prison but he changed his life he turned his life around that's the only place he was supposed to go
Starting point is 00:20:34 listen I'm a true athlete man I got footage even though the footage don't get cast I can show you I can show you the film it was grainy
Starting point is 00:20:42 yeah it don't look good it don't look good but It don't look good. But it's there. I ain't going to lie. One thing I can say, you got some hell of a fire athlete. I ain't going to lie. For me, I feel like athletic ability,
Starting point is 00:20:59 I can do any and everything. I can bowl. I can throw a baseball. I can box. I can kick a soccer ball. Ocho? I feel like Ocho is literally one of those people who I feel like can do the same. You know what?
Starting point is 00:21:14 That's why you my... Boy, if you ever got a problem with anybody, nigga, I'm going to beat their ass, nigga. I appreciate that support. Hey, you worry about Keith Lee. Hey, Keith Lee is going to eat some oxtail. He's going to eat some fufu and knock Ocho out. Hey, let me tell you something. Keith Lee better stop playing with me, all right?
Starting point is 00:21:28 He better stop playing because he ain't going to be doing no food critic. He's going to be eating everything through a straw. This ain't what you want. I'm telling you that. Hey, listen. Hey. Hey, Keith. As a matter of fact, I'm going to fight you for letting him get on there and think he
Starting point is 00:21:41 can beat me in anything competitive. So we're going to go ahead. After I beat his ass, then we're going to go after I beat his ass. Then we're going to fight too. Hey, I will. Hey, J.R.
Starting point is 00:21:50 Listen to me, J. I don't care if it's Bruce Lee, Spike Lee, Keith Lee, anybody with the last name Lee going to get their ass whooped. Matter of fact, hey,
Starting point is 00:21:58 Lee from Rush Hour. She's going to get it too. Got me fucked. Why you got me hot? I was on a plane and I saw the thing I was like well damn they just okay that's what we on and I don't do
Starting point is 00:22:12 MMA I do boxing come on this is an MMA fighter he used to be an MMA fighter oh no no no I don't mess with them just because somebody was an MMA fighter. Oh, no, no, no. I don't mess with them. Hold on, hold on. That's a gesture. Somebody was an MMA fighter.
Starting point is 00:22:27 Don't mean they was good. Hey. Don't mean they was good. Don't mean they was good. If he tell me he do MMA, I'm not rocking with him. Hey, he good enough. Listen, man. How I let your boy in that?
Starting point is 00:22:37 I see the cauliflower ears and all that, but you got it. My bad. You want another job? What you need? I'm trying to figure out. I ain't do nothing. Anything he do to me after that, I got to put the hand on. Hey, I done got too big to tussle now.
Starting point is 00:22:53 Oh, that's too bad. That's too bad. That's too bad. That's too bad. Because we going to tussle for the simple fact that you even let him say Chad. You let him say Ocho. The word Ocho even came out as now. You should have. Hey, you ain't goingna talk about my co-host like that.
Starting point is 00:23:08 I take Ocho. You grab me. You gonna say ow. You gonna say to Ocho. You gonna say ah, oh. What I done now? Hey, tell Keith Lee set that shit up, man. Set that shit up. Boxing. I don't use my feet to kick. I don't kick with my feet.
Starting point is 00:23:27 You don't activate your feet, huh? Hey, that man, he said his hand's updated. Who? Yeah, he said it registered in 13 states. I hope so. Mine registered, too.
Starting point is 00:23:38 Mine registered, too. Only one of us been on pay-per-view. I can take that. Hey, man, leave that man alone, Ocho. Nah, hell nah. You all got me fucked up, nigga. We finna fight now. Matter of fact,
Starting point is 00:23:49 if I catch you at a restaurant in Miami, I'm gonna swing on you. LeBron 3 with 855 left in the third quarter was his 2,451st career 3, breaking the tie with Kyle Corbin for number seven all time. You talk about the guy that's number one in points,
Starting point is 00:24:08 top five in assists, up there in steals, up there in the top 10 in three-point shots, and three-point field goals made. I mean, what do we say? And it's like, we expect the man to play like LeBron to play until he's 50.
Starting point is 00:24:24 They still expect him to put up the numbers like he did when he was 30. That's just know how to let you know how great he is. When you have the same level of expectation for someone, you don't have the same level of expectation. Think about it. Switch, we don't have the same level of expectation for our parents, for our grandparents as they start to age because we know physically it's just impossible to do but because
Starting point is 00:24:47 lebron we still expect him to go out there and sometimes give us a virtuoso performance where he gives us 50 or he gives us a 30 point triple double or he gives us a 40 10 type of a ball game and he might can do that but as we get older and i just believe this as we get older, and I just believe this, as we get older, it just gets difficult, even as an athlete, to do it with the ease that we once did. And to rep and repeat said act. Yeah. For me, it's like, honestly, because it's different when you have the God-given ability to do it, which he does have, but also the mind to know how to do it,
Starting point is 00:25:30 which he also has. So then once one starts, because your mind is going, especially for him, his mind is going to stay sharp. It's going to keep getting sharper and seeing defenses and seeing stuff that he's been seeing over the years, but at the end of the day, you ain't going
Starting point is 00:25:46 to be able to get to that spot like you used to get to that spot. So then you got to come up with more counters and everything else or rely on your teammates. And being able to rely on my teammates when I got to go out there and get 20 instead of getting 27 or
Starting point is 00:26:02 trying to push it to go get 30 every night, that's what it was going to have to be. Because, again, when you see that spot and I can get to that spot, that's how you... You know what I mean? Like, look at Kobe. When Kobe went in the wall and he pulled out and thought somebody kicked him from behind.
Starting point is 00:26:18 That's when you start getting hurt. You start to kick. You're trying to get somewhere where you think you can physically get to. You need that afterbirth to try to get somewhere where you think you can physically get to. You need that afterbirth to try to get there. Yeah, sir. And I don't want to put that on him. I'm not going to go with it, but
Starting point is 00:26:35 that's just how it is. And on the body, he obviously takes amazing care of his body. He's probably the most, he's definitely the most best fit athlete I've ever been around consistently. And even like, no, no, no, you ain't got no chance, dog.
Starting point is 00:26:52 I ain't gonna lie to you. I ain't gonna lie. I ain't gonna lie to you. Ultra. It's not even close. Let me take this off real quick, man. Stop playing. Hey, dude, you gotta do it.
Starting point is 00:27:04 The most fit athlete is sitting right here. Everybody keeps disrespecting me. Now you're telling me LeBron in better shape than me? Nobody look like this, B. But, hey, listen, listen. That ain't Pop-Tarts, Ochoa. That ain't no Pop-Tarts. You see this?
Starting point is 00:27:22 You talk about, man. That ain't even even salad. That ain't even donuts. This is what I do, man that ain't even even salad that ain't even donuts this is what I do man this is what I do I'm in the best shape of my life at 56 Swish
Starting point is 00:27:29 Swish he went to Swish he well buck 80 hey hey I'm hey JR I'm in better shape than every athlete
Starting point is 00:27:37 on earth right now at 56 nobody wanna see me B real shit son you in New York right now you in New York hell no bro you about beautiful no I was born shit, son. You in New York right now? You in New York? Oh, no, bro.
Starting point is 00:27:48 You know, I was born in 68. Hey, are you in New York right now? 78. He born in 78. I'm in New York. I put that on every bodega in the Bronx. Nobody be son. I'm telling you, see, nigga, word to my mother.
Starting point is 00:28:01 Nobody's in better shape than me. Don't worry about it. Don't worry about it. Don't worry about it, sweetie. Starting point is 00:30:22 Muhammad Ali was never afraid to express himself loudly and boldly and stays true to form in Ali and Me, an eight-part Audible original. Guided by his own words, this series explores Ali's life and legacy through never-before-heard audio recordings and discussions with those who knew him best. Muhammad had this real sense of his own personal values and principles, things he believed in, his own sense of conviction. Those convictions never wavered.
Starting point is 00:30:53 Hosted by Muhammad's wife, Lani Ali, and his close friend, award-winning broadcaster, John Ramsey, Ali and Me goes beyond the boxing ring to delve deeply into Ali's extraordinary life through conversations with Billy Crystal, Mike Tyson, Rosie Perez, Common, Will Smith, and Bob Costas. It created a North Star for me of how I want to be in the world, you know. As a child, as a young person, he gave credence to my audacity. There's no debate that this
Starting point is 00:31:26 is the greatest global sports figure of our lifetime. Listen to Ali and Me, now on Audible. In the fall of 1986, Ronald Reagan found himself at the center of a massive scandal that looked like it might bring down his presidency.
Starting point is 00:31:41 Did you make a mistake in sending arms to Tehran, sir? No. It became known as the Iran-Contra affair. And I'm not taking any more questions in just a second. I'm going to ask Attorney General... I'm Leon Nafok, co-creator of Slow Burn. In my podcast, Fiasco, Iran-Contra, you'll hear all the unbelievable details of a scandal that captivated the nation nearly 40 years ago, but which few of us still remember today.
Starting point is 00:32:12 The things that happened were so bizarre and insane, I can't begin to tell you. Please do. To hear the whole story, listen to Fiasco, Iran Contra on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Brandon Ingram denied a trade to the Jazz. The Lakers are the favorite to acquire Ingram in a trade. Ingram wants to be part of a winning competitive environment. What's going on down in New Orleans, Swish? He's trying to get up out of there. Ah, man, it's in the water.
Starting point is 00:32:55 They're trying to get up out of there. They're trying to get up out of there from O'Brien, man. Big alligator, man. You got to get him out that water, bro. He over there eating up everything. I didn't realize. I didn't know he was that big. Like, I ain't going to lie. I seen him in person, and like, we
Starting point is 00:33:12 low-key, like, damn, they're the same height. But then, like, around? I'm like, damn, dog. Like, yo, like, you're supposed to be a two-guard. They finally playing the four but see the thing is we can't have healthy conversation
Starting point is 00:33:28 because the first thing they say you trying to fat shame the man no ain't nobody trying to fat shame you we're having a healthy conversation about why this man stays injured and the man is undisciplined he's undisciplined okay you know you have weight fat kid become fat adults
Starting point is 00:33:43 and people and people try Okay, you know you have weight. Fat kid become fat adults. And people try, oh, give him some time to figure it out. You said that when he was 20. You said it when he was 21. You said it when he was 22. You said it when he was 23. Now he's 24. What excuses are you going to make for him now?
Starting point is 00:34:02 I don't care anything about nothing off the field. I don't care nothing about that woman, whatever her name is. I don't care if you got a child. I could care less about that. That ain't got nothing to do with him. I'm talking about his weight, him being undisciplined, and he staying hurt. Oh, but when he plays. But when is that?
Starting point is 00:34:24 He's missed 211 of a possible 401 games. That's crazy! And he got the money. Yes! And I'm here, I don't know if it's true, but what we reported is that he fired CAA because they got him a contract and it had those weight clauses in there. Right. And he said he deserved more. Bro!
Starting point is 00:34:42 They gave you that contract when you missed your whole rookie year. I'm confused, Swish. Yeah, I don't know how you argue with that. I don't know how you argue about that. And you hurt now. To me, it's like there's somebody in your ear at that point.
Starting point is 00:35:02 There's no way. You must got a homie or somebody sitting there telling you some shit that is not fathomably true and you believe in that shit you gotta understand
Starting point is 00:35:11 the people around you especially at that level you know those are all yes men ain't nobody trying to get their wall to cut off so they gonna tell you what you want here they not gonna tell you
Starting point is 00:35:19 what you need to hear especially bringing in that kind of money shit I'm not gonna say nothing he's 20 21 20 to hear. Especially bringing in that kind of money. I'm not going to say nothing. He's already 21, 20. He's 24 now. But what's
Starting point is 00:35:34 the likelihood? It's about time. It's about time to start figuring it out. 24, you've been in there. You were there one day in college. So you was, what, 18, 19? So five years. Yeah, 24 now.
Starting point is 00:35:48 Has he played a full season yet, Unc? I think he might have played one. No. Ain't nobody playing a full season. First of all, let me get back to that. Ain't nobody playing no 82 games no more. That's out. Like, all that, I'm going to play an 82,
Starting point is 00:36:02 and I'm going to be in this shape, and this is going to go down as my career. There ain't nobody doing that no more. That shit don't. That was caveman shit. There ain't nobody doing that no more. You'll be 25 in July. Playing 80, 82 games is nuts.
Starting point is 00:36:18 And especially if you're playing for a contender. If you're not a rookie and you're trying to learn and literally get your bearings in the league in your first couple of years, there's no way you're playing 80 to 82 games. 78, 75, they're not doing it. Ain't no way. Not no top dog.
Starting point is 00:36:36 Yeah. He's played six games this year. He played 24 games his rookie season. He played 61. Then he went to 29. Then he went to 70. So he played 70 games last year. But here's the thing. He spent more time on the tattoo table
Starting point is 00:36:51 than he has on the court this year. He played six games out of what? 22? And they say he's two weeks away. Now, two weeks away what? So what you think? How long is it going to take him to get back in condition? That's 30 right there. Hey, you know what's funny?
Starting point is 00:37:10 I mean, if you think about the NBA, NFL, I mean, all of this. He should be getting in condition now. The highest level, right? Shouldn't it be easy for him to not only get in shape, but to stay in shape when they have all the resources? You got the money. Money's not an issue at that point.
Starting point is 00:37:24 You can get the best doctors, the best nutritionists, the best dieticians. What is the actual problem on why someone... What is it that you don't get about discipline? Doing what you need to do
Starting point is 00:37:35 as opposed to what you want to do. So you mean the discipline when you're in the off season, not the discipline in season because when you're in a structured environment, it should be easy to do it. No, it's discipline in your lifestyle, dog.
Starting point is 00:37:49 This ain't no, there's no off season, there's no on season, there's no end season, none of that. This is your life. You get paid millions of your life, dog. Now watch how many people jump in the comment and say, let that man live his life, even though he's harming his professional
Starting point is 00:38:06 career. But see, people that doesn't get it, let the man live his life. Because I remember what I said. I said, the man needs to get in shape. I said, he's too heavy. He's too heavy to do what he needs to do. Let that man live. Okay, now they let him live. Now look at him. Hmm.
Starting point is 00:38:23 You know the people who say, don't let him live, the same people would be over there damn dog yes yes same people that but see that's what i say when people tell me they're on a diet see i do lifestyle because see like diets have end dates they They have a start date. They have an end date. What did I say, Ocho? Oh, the next 30 days. Okay, the next 15 days. I'm doing a fast. I'm doing a cleanse.
Starting point is 00:38:52 It don't mean a thing if your lifestyle, because all you're going to do is once you start back eating regular, like you do, and start drinking water, you're going to put it right back on there. And it's going to look worse. As a matter of fact, I'm so glad you just used that. That's why I don't understand why women say, you know what, I'm going through a matter of fact i'm so glad you just use that that's why i don't understand why women say you know what i'm going through a journey of celibacy i don't know what for because
Starting point is 00:39:10 the same way you just explained it the same bullshit you're leaving behind ain't gonna be there when you start back yeah okay i don't know about no celibacy i'm sorry i didn't mean i didn't mean i didn't mean to drift off topic my bad bad. No, but, you know, look. That was a great analogy, dog. I appreciate that. See, that's why he's a dog. I was hoping he's... That was a great analogy, dog. I was hoping he said, you know, like women say,
Starting point is 00:39:34 they're going on a fast or they're going on a cleanse and they do a 15-day or a 30-day or a 60-day. So what happens when you start back eating regular? It's just like a bodybuilder. You see how bodybuilders how they deplete themselves? What happens when they start back eating again? Blow them like the Hindenburg.
Starting point is 00:39:55 Do women the same thing? You could, hey, you could deny yourself water. You could deny yourself carbohydrates, but I'm going to tell you what happens when you put it back in there. You're going to rehydrate. You're going to, hey, and then you're going to carb up and then you're going to tell you what happens when you put it back in there. You're going to rehydrate. And then you're going to carb up and then you're going to spill over. There it is.
Starting point is 00:40:10 Yep. I ain't telling you what somebody told me. I'm telling you what I know. So, I just don't get it. Everybody seems to be wanting to get out of... I see they got rid of Alfred Payton.
Starting point is 00:40:26 The guy just had 21 assists like a week ago. I'm like, well, damn. Y'all that good down there? Y'all could get him cut, ladies? Y'all let Ballard Jr. go. A B.I. wants out. He injured. Zion is always injured.
Starting point is 00:40:41 I mean, well, damn. And you're not going to get back equal value on Zion. You're not. You're not. Ain't too many superstars you're getting equal value on now. You're not. You're not. What if we trade him early?
Starting point is 00:40:57 What if they just funneled early? They know the history. And plus, they know he won't out. I'm not going to lie. I'm a fan of trading lie. I'm a fan of trading early. I'm a fan of trading early in the season, though. Even like y'all's situation, right,
Starting point is 00:41:11 with Jimmy. I like Jimmy. I like Jimmy in Miami. But him and Pat butt in his. So if y'all butt in his, I'd rather y'all butt his and trade him now, opposed to trying to wait until the trade deadline. Then you're trying to make something happen. And then, okay, we're going to be competitive and be in the playoffs to trying to wait until the trade deadline and then you're trying to make something happen and then,
Starting point is 00:41:26 okay, we're going to be competitive and be in the playoffs and try to make this in that shape. Bro, by the time you trade somebody at that trade deadline,
Starting point is 00:41:36 you don't have enough time to get the chemistry together to really go deep and strong in the playoffs unless you actually have the team for it. If you got a team for it and you can like
Starting point is 00:41:46 throw a Drew Holiday in Boston after going from Milwaukee, you'd be like, yo, bro, oh, for sure, let's go. But if you got to throw a Melo in Houston, like, bro, you're looking like...
Starting point is 00:42:03 I see what you're saying, Swish, but you're throwing a third or a fourth piece as opposed to a first or a second piece. Right. That's a big difference. Because the offense is going to initiate through JB and JT first and foremost. As opposed to Jimmy. Jimmy's going to be one or two. He ain't being no three or four. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:42:23 I think Jimmy can be a three or four. I don't know. I think Jimmy can be a three or four, depending on the right situation. If he go to the Lakers, he can be a three. Yeah. Okay. Yes. Yes. Hold on. I don't even like that hyper.
Starting point is 00:42:40 Jimmy's technically not a scorer. He's a basketball player. That's what people forget. No. He's a basketball player. That's what people forget about Jimmy. He's a basketball player. He's not a scorer. He can score 100%. He can defend, too.
Starting point is 00:42:54 He can make plays and make assists and make rebounds. He can do all of that. But he doesn't do anything, one thing great to where he'd be like, that's what he do. That's him. He don't do that. Hold on. You say Jimmy doesn't do one thing great to where he'd be like, that's what he do. That's him. He don't do it. You say Jimmy doesn't do one thing great, but he does everything good. Can we say that?
Starting point is 00:43:11 Everything really good. Not good, really good. But that got some issues. The Pelicans, this is what Shams is reporting, the Pelicans still want to build around Zion. Right now, the Pelicans have no intentions build around Zion. Right now, the Pelicans have no
Starting point is 00:43:26 intentions of waiving Zion Williamson. Their number one objective is to get him back on the court and build the right support around him. But what is Zion going to do for them? What about him building the right support system around himself? I can't, Ocho, I can't help
Starting point is 00:43:42 you more than you want to help yourself. I can't Ocho I can't help you more than you want to help yourself I can help him I can help him for one get the people that's around you how you start there you know your foundation that shit started at the roots the root of the problem probably ain't even him it's the motherfuckers surrounding him that yes sir
Starting point is 00:44:01 yes sir that's okay don't worry about it nah I agree that yes sir yes sir yes sir that's okay don't worry about it no i agree you need somebody you need somebody with a goddamn iron fist to come in there and get that get that i almost said damn word get young bull together wrong people around and that's all it is if you don't have the discipline somebody in your circle got to be the one with it. Let me ask you this. If you let yourself get to a situation, right, O'Shea, like say you with the bankers, right? Yeah, that's me. That's me.
Starting point is 00:44:34 You too, huh? Nah, nah. I'm getting with us. Just me. Just me. I'm getting with us. Well, okay. You there, right?
Starting point is 00:44:42 And you're playing weight. And you got a heyday. How much was you weighing? My heyday how much was you my heyday I was about 215 he was like 185 190 switch
Starting point is 00:44:50 let's just say 185 190 okay okay and you showed up after a couple weeks
Starting point is 00:45:03 at 215, 220. That's what I look like right now, but go ahead. But you can't move like you did when you was at 185. Absolutely not. You can't get off the ground. You can't get... Uh-uh. And on top of that, your availability is gone.
Starting point is 00:45:23 Yeah, you're right. So when you do play five plays here, six plays here, we got to sit you out down there the whole second half. And you open yourself up for injury. You're injury prone at that weight because your body is not used to handling it. Your body isn't used to moving that weight. That's why you see guys get nicked. What do they do? Hamstring.
Starting point is 00:45:46 It's always a soft tissue because you're asking your body to torque that weight. That's why you see guys get nicked. What do they do? Hamstring. It's always a soft tissue because you're asking your body to torque a weight that it's not used to. Your body knows what it's used to moving around. That's why people say I feel comfortable at 200. I feel comfortable at my sweet spot is somewhere between 195 and 200. Not 210
Starting point is 00:46:01 to 212 because now that extra weight your body is not used to carrying that and see here's the thing this is what you know you know it gets harder to maintain that weight if you get nicked because you can't condition
Starting point is 00:46:20 you can't get up and down the court, you can't ride the bike you can't do the elliptical you can't jog on the treadmill so guess what but you don't change your eating habits but your workout habits have changed so guess what happened though joe now you gain a pound yeah you gain three now you gain four they're like bro you've been out how you gain weight because i'm still eating but i'm not working out the same that's why you see guys when they retire when you see guys i see dbs that look like offensive linemen hey you've been with me i played against you what what number were you 65
Starting point is 00:46:58 or 77 because you dad you damn sure you have no 20 or 30. No. 22. Because when you retire, if you maintain the same eating habits, but not the same training schedule, Ocho, you don't have no choice but to gain weight. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:17 That's how I got like this. But yeah. So I just don't get it. I just hope Zion, I hope he figures it out. I just hope he figures it out. That's Griff, man. Because it's going to be a situation where we're going to be talking about this years from now. Like, what could have been?
Starting point is 00:47:38 Josh Hart on his $51,000 bonus from winning the NBA Cup. I really don't care about the young guys. All I care about is me and what I'm going to spend. Jalen Brunson, you effing a-hole. Josh, I want a new watch. Hey, them dudes funny, man. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:58 Swish, do you like the in-season tournament? I hate it. Tell me why. You don't like nothing about it. It's just... So, to me, it's a reason for God. Like, you're trying to give people a reason to play the game
Starting point is 00:48:16 that they're supposed to love. It's not for the fans. It's not for the fans. So, it's like, and it goes back to the 82 games, playing the 82 games season. Like, that was like, that's like a badge of honor. When I came there,
Starting point is 00:48:34 that's a badge of honor. If you can play 82 games, or play 80 games, 81 games, that's like being like an Iron Man. Especially if you're like an Iron Man. Like, especially if you wanted those dudes. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:48:48 like, I was wallowing with that, bro. I played 82 games once, played 80 games once,
Starting point is 00:48:53 and played, like, 78 or 79 games twice. And when I tell you, bro, like, that shit really,
Starting point is 00:48:59 I wore that shit like a badge because when I was a kid, like, this was my dream. I was, like, I'm not one of these kids who got good out of nowhere when I was a kid, like this was my dream. I was like, I'm not one of these kids who got good and out of nowhere. And it just so happened like,
Starting point is 00:49:09 Oh, cause I'm good. Let me just go do this. I know I grew up with that thirst of playing the game and being great at the game. I've been playing the game since I was three years old. So for me to be really good or great or like that shit meant the world to me. So when I see guys who like
Starting point is 00:49:26 quote on quote say they love it as much as I love it and then I hear them or listen to how they talk about the game or what shit they do I'm just like alright like it don't like it sound like you more you gotta say that
Starting point is 00:49:44 more for you than it is for the actual genuine love of the sport. I agree. You know what I'm saying? When you love something, Swish, Ocho, when you love something, what wouldn't you do to keep it? What wouldn't you do to maintain being there? If you love something,
Starting point is 00:50:06 you love your mom, you love your dad, because when I love something, I love it wholeheartedly. I'm all in. I ain't halfway in. I'm all in. And I'm going to do everything I possibly can because I know there's going to come a time in which I can't
Starting point is 00:50:22 do it. So I'm going to go 100 miles an hour to try to maintain it time in which I can't do it. So I'm going to go 100 miles an hour to try to maintain it as long as I can. But... Boy, bring that to me one more time. The beginning of that. When you love someone, what? What wouldn't you do?
Starting point is 00:50:37 If you love something, tell me what you wouldn't do to keep it. That's all I need right there. That's all I need right there. Boy, when you, ooh, I got cheese. People tell you a lot of things, Swish. I see better than I hear.
Starting point is 00:50:53 Oh, I love that. Show me. You love it? Straight like that. You really love it. But that's not what I see your work ethic that don't say love
Starting point is 00:51:09 that don't even say that's your mistress at all nah bro you gotta be devoted to this thing I see better than I hear I like that yes yeah like that
Starting point is 00:51:23 guys what you think about this? John Moran explained why he's toned down his dunking this season. I'm not trying to dunk at all. Y'all think I'm lying. I'm dead serious. Sometimes I get knocked out of the air, a foul, don't get called, and now I'm out longer than I'm supposed to be. Sometimes the foul might get called. I still hit the floor, but after the game, you might feel a little fall.
Starting point is 00:51:43 So just pick and choose, man. Hey, two points is two points. I get it done. That's all that matters. Yeah, I like John, but John's nice, boy. Young Bull, explosive as hell, man. Golly. Swish, what you think? I think he definitely the most
Starting point is 00:52:01 explosive since D. Rose, dog. He killer. Honestly, I feel him, though. explosive since D-Roast. Like, he killer. I think, honestly, I feel him, though. I feel what he's saying, but I don't think he can play that way. I don't think so, either. That's him. I feel like, yeah, like, that's you, bro. Like, don't let that pull you back.
Starting point is 00:52:19 You better do that shit as long as you can, because once it's done, that shit is done. Oh, hey. You ain't like all that jumping over seven-footers and all that shit shit is gone. Oh, hey. You ain't just like all that jumping over seven-footers and all that shit. That shit was fire, bro. I used to do it. Trust me.
Starting point is 00:52:30 Bro, I'm a groundhog. I'll tell you, I be under the golf hole so low, bro, I can't get lower than the snake's belly fat. That's enough. But here's the thing, though, Switch.
Starting point is 00:52:39 Ain't no way. Is that you don't buy a Ferrari to drive it like a Cadillac. You get it to go fast. God gave you those fast twitch to you. That's what made you who you are. You not Luca.
Starting point is 00:52:54 You not Luca. You got fast twitch muscle fibers. You're explosive. You're made to elevate. You have a slender frame. Hey, bro. Hey, it's going to be what it's going to be. You have a slender frame and bro, hey, it's going to be what it's going to be. But he says that. It's easy to say that
Starting point is 00:53:11 until you get in the moment and people start talking trash and you're like, I'm going to get you. I'm going to catch you in the lane. I got something for you. But for me, I think Ja is one of those like, you don't even got to talk trash to him. He already played with such an edge.
Starting point is 00:53:28 Like, it ain't even, like, it's personal without it being personal. Like, with everything. And I like that about him. So I don't really, like, it's great to hear. And, you know, I mean, like, it's probably more of a sell to get
Starting point is 00:53:44 people back on his side, but I don't see that I don't see you not going out there and trying to boof on somebody who coming over on the weak side late at the block I'm going to try and jump over him every time. I tell you what Swish we'll see when he plays the Lakers because we know how
Starting point is 00:53:59 the disdain he has for the Lakers I'm going to see if that holds true I'm going to see how many times he lay it up how many times he just used the going to see how many times he lay it up, how many times he just used the float game, or how many times he actually tried to poke on folks. Right. But look at him in the first break. Watch how many times he just lay it up opposed to guard that John Wendell.
Starting point is 00:54:18 Yeah. We're going to see. Charles Barkley says the Thunder are the best team in the NBA. Chuck says he's seen enough to declare them the best. No, I don't think they're better than Cleveland, and I don't think they're better than Boston. Better than the Celtics? Shit, hell, they ain't even better than the Heat, but go ahead.
Starting point is 00:54:32 Oh, they're better than the Heat, but they damn sure ain't. For me and what I've seen, and I've seen them all play, they're not better than the Cavaliers, and they're definitely not better than the Celtics. What about the Thunder better than the Warriors? I think they beat the Warriors. Did they beat the Warriors? Honestly, I think they beat the Warriors. I don't think they beat the Nuggets.
Starting point is 00:54:55 No. No, they beat the Nuggets. I think they beat the Nuggets by one. In the seven games? Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. No, but they got it. Nah, I don't think so either. I don't see them beating the Nuggets in seven games. They're not beating the Cavaliers, and they damn sure not beating the Celtics in seven.
Starting point is 00:55:15 Hell, I tell you what. I think when a dog fight will go to seven. Guess what? I don't believe they beat the Lakers in seven. Because this is the first time they beat the Lakers in a long time. The Lakers got their number. I'll beat the Lakers in seven. Because this is the first time they beat the Lakers in a long time. The Lakers got their number. I'll take the Lakers over them right now in a seven-game series.
Starting point is 00:55:31 Even though LeBron playing as bad as he is, I'll still take the Lakers. I damn sure ain't taking them over Cleveland. I'm with you on that. I'm with you on that. I'm not taking them over Cleveland and Boston. Absolutely not. No, sir. No chance.
Starting point is 00:55:46 No. Zero chance that's happening. I definitely, I'm taking them over Miami for sure. I ain't going to lie, Ocho. I'm sorry. Ocho? Listen, I don't know what's wrong. It's cool.
Starting point is 00:55:58 It's cool. Y'all don't support. Y'all don't support. It's cool. All right, what came love, though? Yeah, that's my dude. I rock. What can't love, though? That's my dude. Muhammad Ali was never afraid to express himself loudly and boldly and stays true to form in Ali and Me, an eight-part Audible original. Guided by his own words, this series explores Ali's life and legacy through never-before-heard audio recordings and discussions with those who knew him best.
Starting point is 00:58:45 Muhammad had this real sense of his own personal values and principles, things he believed in, his own sense of conviction. Those convictions never wavered. Hosted by Muhammad's wife, Lani Ali, and his close friend, award-winning broadcaster, John Ramsey, Ali and Me goes beyond the boxing ring to delve deeply into Ali's extraordinary life through conversations with Billy Crystal, Mike Tyson, Rosie Perez, Common, Will Smith, and Bob Costas. It created a North Star for me of how I want to be in the world, you know. As a child, as a young person, he gave credence to my audacity. There's no debate that this is the greatest global sports figure of our lifetime.
Starting point is 00:59:34 Listen to Ali and Me, now on Audible. In the fall of 1986, Ronald Reagan found himself at the center of a massive scandal that looked like it might bring down his presidency. Did you make a mistake in sending arms to Tehran, sir? No. It became known as the Iran-Contra affair. And I'm not taking any more questions in just a second. I'm going to ask Attorney General...
Starting point is 00:59:58 I'm Leon Nafok, co-creator of Slow Burn. In my podcast, Fiasco, Iran Contra, you'll hear all the unbelievable details of a scandal that captivated the nation nearly 40 years ago, but which few of us still remember today. The things that happened were so bizarre and insane, I can't begin to tell you. Please do.
Starting point is 01:00:28 To hear the whole story, listen to Fiasco, Iran Contra on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Joe, check this out. Joe Burrell says he bought a tumbler batmobile from the dark knight trilogy each were priced at about three million dollars and are fully functional but not street legal burrow told t higgins and jamar chase during practice last week have i told you i bought a batmobile i don't get it for like a year, but I bought one.
Starting point is 01:01:05 I mean, it ain't street legal. That's a fucking flirt. I mean, listen, you collect cars, don't you? You love cars, huh? Yeah, but they need to be street legal. I got to be able to drive them on the street. I know, but something like that would be a collector's item. Something like, you know, Jay Leno, Rick Ross, some of those dudes that collect things
Starting point is 01:01:22 where it's not street legal. You put it up and you save it and lay it on down the road. You know, you pay three million for it. Think about it. Maybe 10 years, 20 years from now, who knows what it might cost or what it might be worth for that matter. What do you want to say,
Starting point is 01:01:38 Sweet? How much? Three bills. Three bills. Three tickets. Three million. Three tickets. Man, listen. Y'all better get I don't know how listen y'all better get I don't know how much y'all making y'all killing it that's a $250 million he make $55 a year
Starting point is 01:01:54 in football salary plus another $3 to $5 off the field so he probably doing $60 a year that's fantastic $30, $28 yeah I ain't spending that three bill that's fantastic 30 28 yeah I ain't spending that 3 million 3 million
Starting point is 01:02:10 on one car if I spend 3 million it ain't moving nowhere cause that's a house and I ain't talking about no RV and no mobile home yeah
Starting point is 01:02:18 no I'm I'm going down there to Cabo with my boys and then I'm gonna go buy a villa next to them that's what I'm going to do.
Starting point is 01:02:26 I'm not nothing. A Batmobile in that Cape Jarvis? He must be a huge fan of Batman or something. I am too. I watch the movies. I don't give a damn if he was Batman. I'm not buying that. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:38 I mean, listen. We all have a vice and certain things that we would splurge on. What $3 million vice you got? You know my chief bass ain't got no goddamn vice. That's what I was trying to figure out. He probably does, obviously, for a reason, to spend $3 million on that. And I think the value of
Starting point is 01:02:58 whatever it is he purchased, the Batmobile, Tumblr, whatever the hell it might be, years from now, it's going to be worth 10, 15 times what he paid for it. That shit better be a Babe Ruth car type value or something. Hold his Wagner. It better give me something crazy. Hold his Wagner got the chocolate.
Starting point is 01:03:16 Will you give me that or something? $3 million for a car? Listen, I can't even talk trash, y'all. I think it was the 2009 to 2009 season. Hell, I leased a goddamn Bugatti for the season. For the year. Like a damn idiot. You're a damn fool.
Starting point is 01:03:33 Yeah, but you gotta understand, I was making so much money off the fee. I was making so much off the fee. I don't care. It's still your money. Your people say they go to the... What was that payment? $25,000 a month. Oh, hell no a month yeah yeah yeah you know i know how much you know how i remember how much it was matter of fact people in the chat if you could do me a favor you know how uncle not jr you know how people get in trouble
Starting point is 01:03:59 with their old tweets like when they become famous or something, people go search up their old tweets. We were playing Philly in the preseason and I tweeted in the middle of the game on the sideline after I got hit. I literally, literally on the sideline, I got hit, came to the sideline and tweeted, I'm okay, y'all.
Starting point is 01:04:20 The NFL fined me 25 grand for tweeting in the middle of the game and that's how I remember what my Bugatti payments was. Cause when, once they took it out of my check, that was the tweet. That's not the next day. Hey,
Starting point is 01:04:33 Chad, if y'all know how to get on Twitter and go back to, I think I was still playing. It was probably 2009 to that. I guarantee the tweet is still up. Damn. They didn't have to fine me. Go,
Starting point is 01:04:44 go search your shit leave my shit alone that was so funny 25,000 they found me what 50,000 that was funny I remember that too that was funny I mean
Starting point is 01:04:57 I gotta be making some serious bread I gotta be having some serious bread but I don't really like like I said like a car like that man and now you got a tie toss 22,000
Starting point is 01:05:11 an oil change nah hell nah the upkeep cause it's really not the car it's the upkeep you know that it's just like anything
Starting point is 01:05:19 you buy a big ass house right go in stuff like that you don't drive every day now you don't you don't drive every day now. You don't drive stuff like that because of the upkeep.
Starting point is 01:05:28 Ain't no way. Ain't no way. Mm-mm. F that. Them special occasions. No, you got to have a, first of all, you got to have a,
Starting point is 01:05:35 what my boy got? He got a car manager. Yeah, oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. He got a car manager that manages cars and all that. So whenever he want to drive, he pull him up to the front of the house. If you do cars,
Starting point is 01:05:48 you got to have that. Like a Jay Leno, like a Seinfeld, Ralph Lauren is in the cars, Ron is in the cars, Jordan, Jordan.
Starting point is 01:06:03 This motherfucker got a hanger, dog. Let me tell you, we got a car selection that you better not sleep on. I don't know if y'all know him. That's called Rick Hendricks. Oh, Rick. Yeah. Old school? Yes.
Starting point is 01:06:17 Yes. I'm talking about Corvette split windows. I'm talking about old stuff. He's a Chevy guy. So you know all that Chevy stuff. Like a Nova, like a Chevelle. Stuff like that. Richard Petty.
Starting point is 01:06:31 Richard Petty is a Mopar guy, Dodge guy. So he got the Cuda, the Super B's and stuff like that. Stuff that, you know, they make one or nine that you go to Mecham or you go to Barry Jackson. You're talking about $2 million, $3 million, $4 million.
Starting point is 01:06:48 Woo! Yeah. That's what I got to do. Hey, Mecham, I'm coming to an auto show. Ocho and I are coming to an auto show. Yeah. You in the car like that, Swish? I'm going to drive.
Starting point is 01:07:05 We go down there and buy something. Let's go down there and we buy something. Yeah, yeah. Hey, we going to buy something like Randy Moss. Straight cash, homie. Straight cash, homie. I want my seats with ostrich in that junk. Man, see, y'all going to be...
Starting point is 01:07:22 You know what I'm saying? You got to keep the car original unless you gonna get a rest of mine I can do that though if you gonna keep it original I ain't gonna lie I need a 68 Camaro straight up big block
Starting point is 01:07:39 I need that my pops got one he restore him and all that. I need to match up with pops. I need to go for a ride with pops. I would like to have a Chevelle. A GTO. Nice.
Starting point is 01:07:56 God take over. Eleanor. That's the Mustang. That's the Eleanor the Mustang. I've never been a Mustang. Okay. the Mustang. The Eleanor, the Mustang. Yeah. I've never been a... Okay, that's what I thought that you told me. The Eleanor.
Starting point is 01:08:08 That was going to 60 Seconds, right? Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Eleanor was that Mustang. Mm-hmm. Ooh. Mm-hmm. Ooh.
Starting point is 01:08:17 That's cool. I do like old cars. I want to get... I'd like to get a resto mod. You know, it has that, but it's modern. It's a resto. It's old cars. I want to get, I want to get, I want to get, I'd like to get a resto mod. You know, it has that, but it's, it's modern.
Starting point is 01:08:28 It's a resto, it's old school, but it got modern features. Okay. So that way I can drive it, I can drive it as opposed to getting something that's a 1960
Starting point is 01:08:36 and you can't drive it or that thing going to be spitting oil and leaking all in your driveway. So, I want to say. That's how I feel about them boys with the Broncos
Starting point is 01:08:44 that they're doing now. You seen them Broncos that they're doing? Yeah, yeah, yeah. The vintage Broncos? Yeah, them drums is fire. They got the new inside, but still, they're kind of old school. Them drums is tough. Check this out. Slash Sylvester Stallone says he once mailed his long-time
Starting point is 01:08:59 wife, Jennifer Flavin, a breakup letter via FedEx. Stallone expressed regret about the decision to send the note back to Flavin, a breakup letter via FedEx. Stallone expressed regret about the decision to send the note back to Flavin back in 1994 when the couple had been dated for six years. But a year later, they patched things up and the two got married in 1997
Starting point is 01:09:15 and they stayed together ever since. What's the worst way you've ever broke up with someone? Ooh, hey, I'm so glad y'all see. Here we go. Hold on. Ooh, Hey, I'm so glad y'all see here. Here we go. Hold on. Hey, I'd never forget.
Starting point is 01:09:30 I don't remember the year, but let me tell you my history. When it comes to women, everybody leave me. Jay, JR, when I tell you everybody leave me, I never stood a chance.
Starting point is 01:09:41 So, so many people have left me to the point where I'm numb to it when somebody leaves. Like, that's how long it's been happening. They always... Bro, I'll leave. I'll never get left. Listen, I'm so numb to it.
Starting point is 01:09:54 I'll never forget a chick left a voicemail. She broke up with me and she left a voicemail on my phone. Who breaks up with somebody and not have the decency to do it to their face? Or at least at least text it to me.
Starting point is 01:10:08 I happen not to answer the phone. Without any answer to the phone, she left Jasmine Sullivan. I'd never forget this. She left Jasmine Sullivan in love with another man. I'm not scared. Oh, in love with another man on my voicemail. And I'm like, what? That's when I tried to, you know, get in contact with her to see, you know, what's going on,
Starting point is 01:10:29 I couldn't, like, I don't know if she had blocked my number or what had happened. And then, like, two weeks later, she was with another dude. So it made sense. I'm thinking you got to talk about, I'm not scared of lying to Todd, you're embarrassed, Jasmine Sullivan. I'm for another dude? Yeah, yeah. She left me for another dude
Starting point is 01:10:45 and then, boom, he did it wrong and then she tried to spin the block. You gotta let her spin the block. You gotta get your lick back. No, no, no, no, no. I don't do no lick back. I don't do no lick back. Once you depart, once you get off the plane, you know how you try to get back home
Starting point is 01:11:01 and the people, they take you and you can't come back? No, we ain't doing that once you once you walk off the plane i'm good because everything i do oh you know you know how i am everything i do is it come from a good place yes it come i'm genuine you know and i'm not perfect you know i'm the first i'm not perfect but you know for the mistakes that i do make you know god god forgive me you know listen i'm a make, you know, God, God forgive me, you know. Listen, I'm a backslider sometimes, you know. I try to follow the Ten Commandments, but sometimes I fall short, you know.
Starting point is 01:11:31 Here's the thing, though, Sweet. Ocho probably is hard to right play. It's the ding-a-ling that's in the wrong place. That's the problem. I don't know. You can't make it all the way to Paris with no ticket and then expect to fly back. I ain't got no problem.
Starting point is 01:11:49 When you was young, we all had that problem. Also, we all had that problem when you was young. You had your meat under control. I'm a good dude. I'm a good dude. I feel you, though.
Starting point is 01:12:00 I feel you, brother. It was like that for a minute. He's a good man, Savannah. He's a good man, Savannah. He's a good man. Yeah. That's what got me in trouble when I was younger. A lot of them told me I was good. That was the problem. I was too good.
Starting point is 01:12:17 I just stayed with my hands at home. But as you get older, you're like, well, damn. You know what? Yeah. Forget that. Come on, man, damn. You know what? Yeah. Get that. Come on, man. Yeah, you know what?
Starting point is 01:12:30 I mean, they just, like, the thing is, you know when somebody's serious. Like, when somebody say, don't call me no more, all that. I mean, they don't really say anything. They're like, Shannon, I'm over it. I'm done. Boom. That's it. And you call.
Starting point is 01:12:45 I think they'll be all ready to, like, change how to call the people and say, look, I'm going to call my ex. I'm going to call. He's soon to be my ex. Because soon as they hang up, you call right back. The number you called is no longer in service. If you feel you reached this number in error, please hang up and try this call again. Damn. Hey,
Starting point is 01:13:10 it is what it is. When it runs its course, it runs its course. Ain't nothing you can do. I'm not finna blow you up and do all that stuff, because you're not finna hit me with no harassment charge. Oh. I told him, tell me not to call. I'm going to say, hey, are you sure? I'm going to say, hey, I'm going to say hey are you sure
Starting point is 01:13:26 I'm going to call one more time Shannon don't call me okay yeah that's it that's it with that A&E scaring straight oh yeah hey I ain't going to lie man I got my heart a little broke
Starting point is 01:13:43 when I was in high school bro there's the only girl who broke up with me. And she told me, yeah, straight up, bro. I was, I was, she got me when I was 16, dog. So look, right?
Starting point is 01:13:54 So I'm gonna tell, I'm gonna keep it all the way to 1,000. Like, I didn't want to go to this, I didn't want to go to this tournament, right? I was playing in the AU
Starting point is 01:14:00 basketball. My mom told me, you gotta go to this tournament and all that. But it was like a little party situation. I had my little Puerto Rican girlfriend. Oh, she's got a little mommy.
Starting point is 01:14:09 Okay, yeah, a little mommy. Yeah, a little mommy. But I'm a sophomore. I'm a sophomore starting varsity, football and basketball. I'm thinking, I'm the man. Everybody over here looking like, all right, cool.
Starting point is 01:14:22 So my pops ended up making me go to this tournament. So I was supposed to call her at a certain time, and I did end up calling her. I had a game. Because, you know, we played six games a day back then. But I had a game.
Starting point is 01:14:36 And it just so happened, I get the scholarship that I always wanted, the Carolina. Roy Williams came to my game, everything. I ended up getting that shit like that shit happened literally the same weekend bro I get back I get back to school everybody hearing about it she gave me my letterman jacket back my little chain and like nah I'm good like straight like I wasn't gonna give her a hug and all that she hand hand on the chest like, nah, I'm good.
Starting point is 01:15:06 Wait a minute, wait a minute. I'm like, oh. Wait, she gave you the Letterman jacket back and the chain? The Letterman jacket back and the chain. Nah, I'm good, beloved. On that, I'm like, oh,
Starting point is 01:15:21 damn. And when I hit me, bro, I ain't go a lot. I was like the first girl I like really cried over. I was hurt. I was broke. Were you like in the fetal position in the bed? Like that kind of cry where your stomach hurt? Oh, so you've been there?
Starting point is 01:15:39 Oh, yeah. You've been in the fetal position before? I was that young, yo. Fine, no? So y'all been there. Yes, sir. That's why I'm glad we could be vulnerable and tell, yo. So y'all been there. That's why I'm glad we could be vulnerable and tell the truth. Because we done all been there. Some dudes be acting like, oh, I ain't crying over.
Starting point is 01:15:51 Yeah, I done been there. Like that's a- You ain't never been a son. I don't wish that kind of pain on nobody, boy. Nope. Hey, that shit hurt, boy. Whatever. Ever.
Starting point is 01:16:02 Have you ever, and if you ever able to make it right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. If you can't, let it be. But if you can, man. Oh, yeah. Best that I ever did.
Starting point is 01:16:13 I swear to God. Oh, you have to. It's one thing about it. Stuff like that scar you too, Jay. Like with that story you just told. Yeah, on facts.
Starting point is 01:16:20 That story you just told, obviously I was scarred years ago. I was scarred years ago. And one thing I always tell Uncle all the time, anytime we talk about things like this, Unk, you know, and you get on me too about saying it, where I say when dealing with people, you know, I always manage my expectations. You hear me? You see where I'm coming from? So understanding not only how you get them is how you lose them, you know?
Starting point is 01:16:42 And understanding history always repeats itself so therefore i'm able to i'm able to compartmentalize and understand you know i'm trying i'm trying to go just just just by example so it's it's easy when things don't work out i always remember and just and trace back well hell well this is what happened back then so i'm not going to be delusional and think, well, hell, it wouldn't happen to me. So it makes it easy because of that heartbreak I done been through 20 years ago.
Starting point is 01:17:13 It sounds dumb, but it's been a protector for me because, hell, when I think about it, everybody left me since 1983.
