Hey guys, it's us
The Jonas Brothers.
I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Just listen.
We don't care where you hear it.
Another podcast from.
some SNL late-night comedy guy, not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and Friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman
help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.
Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and Friends
on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Hey, it's Edwin Castro, also known as Castro 1021.
And I'm Kunky, his best friend and business manager.
And we've got a new show called The 1021 podcast.
I'm taking you behind the scenes on how I became one of Twitch's most popular streamers.
We also love sports.
And with the World Cup right around the corner, we'll be breaking down the biggest
storylines ahead of the big tournament here in the USA.
Listen to the 1021 podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple,
podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts.
And on my new podcast, Hope from a Hypocrite, I'll be changing lives, helping people in need
with thoughtful solutions.
Sike, I'm a comedian.
I'm not qualified to give good advice.
Join me and my comedian friends as we riff, rant, recommend some of the most legally
dubious advice known to me.
This is Help from a Hypocrite, the worst advice from the dumbest people you know.
Listen to Help from a Hypocrite Wednesdays on the Iheart radio app.
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Will Ferrell's Big Money Players and IHeart Podcasts presents soccer moms.
So I'm Leanne.
Yeah.
This is my best friend, Janet.
Hey.
And we have been joined at the hips since high school.
Absolutely.
A redacted amount of years later, we're still joined at the hip.
Just a little bit bigger hips.
This is a podcast.
We're recording it as we tailgate our youth soccer games in the back of my Honda Odyssey.
With all the snacks and drinks.
Why did you get hard seltzer instead of beer?
Oh, they had a bogo.
Well, then you got it.
Listen to Soccer Moms on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
NBA Ride Diamond Peters tweeted,
The noise around Chet offensive impact will continue to grow louder as years go on.
To me, he had a lot of grace because the Thunder have been successful and his defense is extraordinary.
But at times like this, when J. Dub is not out there,
theoretically, Hungren should be in position to carry heavy offensive load.
Eventually questioned whether he isn't enough to be the number two pick to be an
elite defender, but largely a play
finisher will become a
conversation, especially
when he's individually capable
of so much more.
Joe, do you agree?
Go ahead. Go ahead.
You want to take it?
Yes, he's capable of doing much more
when he's playing against other teams.
Now, all that changes when you're playing
against the alien.
Because you're not able to do what you want to do
defensively. You're not able to do what you want
to do offensively.
because he changes everything because of his length and his height.
Now everything he just said, he's standing now in the postseason
because of who he's playing against.
You would have never written anything like that during the regular season
because he gets to do what he wants because he's at an advantage
most of the time when he plays night by night because of his height.
I understand what the guy is saying.
He said with J. Dub out, you should be their second best player.
He's looked anything but that.
I don't give a damn, bro.
I'm paying you $239 million.
Who you plan to get should not matter.
So just imagine, I'm paying you that kind of money, Ocho.
So if you go against the number one corner,
I should expect you to get me four for like 36, huh?
And he'd make $2.39, $5 for $2.39.
Yeah, we got to have a conversation.
Exactly.
Hey, hey.
Hey, you ain't say y'all last, I need better context.
You ain't telling you a nigga, 239.
Hey, hey.
My thing is, y'all know me.
I've been random raving about chicks since last season.
You know, I always felt, you know, if his productivity gets higher,
it can make them a dynasty,
it can make them a lot tougher team to beat.
Because I do think defensively he's pretty solid.
Yes.
But he has to lighten the load up for shade, though.
And I'm going to be honest with y'all, man.
I'm not sure his game is capable of that.
You know, I think when J-Dub is out there,
is so much pressure taking off him that he's able to kind of fly under the radar and, you know, be great sometimes.
You know, he ain't not so great other times.
I mean, hell, look at the finals last year, bro.
Outside of the last game, game seven, I think he had like 17 and 12 or 19 and 12 last game.
Hell, he were averaging 10 points a game, Ocho, in the finals last year.
You know what I mean?
So I think he has to find a way, bro.
to try to put his stamp on this series
because they're going to need him.
Coach,
we've seen that number two receiver
that long as he plays out that number one,
he eaten the minute he goes somewhere else
and now he's getting Revers,
he's getting the number one DB to cover his ass.
He don't look nothing like he did
when he was the number two
and the number one was getting the number one DB.
Yeah, it's a difference.
So now as being the number three,
he gets thrust in the number three.
number two spot because J.
Dove isn't there.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So now when you got Chad, when you got Shea and they're doing an outstanding job
job on Shay, you're like, okay, this is my time to shine.
But like you say, Joe, if you watch him, he's really, he's really robotic.
He's very, very methodical.
Ain't nothing, ain't nothing like who just fluid like, ah, ah, like Jill Scott's
and say everything is free and easy like to breathe.
That ain't him.
Yeah.
It's all, you know, when I watch him, and I watched him,
and I've seen him several times,
it looks like he's thinking about what he's going to do.
Yeah.
Yeah, he's very indecisive on a lot of things that he's trying to do.
And I think for me, when I watch a lot of these cats play, bro,
is how comfortable can you be under pressure?
And he just don't look that comfortable to me, fellas.
I'm just, you know, I got to be honest.
I mean, they whole team looked a little out of whack tonight, you know.
I don't know if it was because Pop came in the locker room and said something,
but I don't, they, damn it, they took it personal, whatever it was.
Guys, if you're in television, I don't know how many guys
have ever been around television.
These are called oil blocks.
So what they do is they take the oil out of your skin,
so they use these first, and then they put makeup on you.
So I don't really do a whole lot of makeup since that debacle that I had.
You know, I had it my first year at year being.
They have to be looking like Randy Jackson or crossed between Randy.
the jacket and little richard but uh yeah i normally just use anti shine but uh but these what they
use to take the oil out of the skin first then they'll apply and then they'll put a little makeup on
over the top of those so that's what that is hey i'll get you get you one of these tiles like i do
man you know every so all that just ain't just white the face yeah how much have cost a little
pack of there i'm a try to him man i don't even know joe
Oh, Joe, you can go get them at a,
Sephora.
What's the name of?
Alta got them and Sephora.
Sephora.
You know, you can just steal a hotel town.
He's free.
Hey, hold on, what they call?
Oil blocks.
What are they on?
Oil control film.
So they just take the oil out of your skin.
Hey, Joe, I look oily.
No, no, no, no, no.
First of all, if black blacks secrete,
That's why we don't wrinkle because we have a lot of oil in our skin.
And that's why we are less likely to have wrinkles.
But in the tea formation, if you go to a specialist right here, the tea is that where you secrete a lot of the oil.
So that's why, you know, if you notice, I do a lot of this, I do this, which is the tea area.
So why y'all don't never tell me, why are you going to tell me by me being oily if I look oily?
You calling me shiny?
Hey, Joe, I look shiny, Joe?
Nah, nah, you look like a little milk, duh.
You good, bro.
Okay, hey, draw like that.
Hey, okay.
I like that.
Okay, okay.
Yeah.
But normally, like, what I do,
club, sheesh, especially on LA,
I have a makeup, my girl, Brett,
Brett, I know you watching, probably, maybe,
comes in and, you know, do me or do the, uh, the guests.
In a lot of, like, when I travel, like when we travel,
she normally travels with us and do that also.
So I'm probably going to find somebody here to,
but come in if I'm back on TV
and I get an opportunity, so I have somebody to do that
so everything looks the same.
So it doesn't look like, damn, he's professionally done
and then go out here like, well, damn,
he just crawled out of bed.
So before we move on,
we've got some footage of Ocho
in the participation of T. Higgins Celebrity Game, Joe.
Let's take a look.
Hey, man.

We have some big news.
What's the news, name?
Huge news.
We created our own podcast.
Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to a...
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there.
But this one's extra special.
So how did we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
Oh, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band.
Before Jonas Brothers was...
This is how you guys remember it going down.
Yes. I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast,
people could call in and say, hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad,
Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

Here's something that should not be as complicated as it is.
Getting a racist statue removed.
And here's something that should be a whole lot easier than it is.
Getting a new one put up in its place.
As long as there's a politics of race in America, there's going to be a politics of remembering the civil war.
To get to school, I had to go down Robert Ely Boulevard.
Get to the grocery store, I had to go down Jefferson Davis Parkway.
If you're an historian and you leave out half of what the history is, you're not doing your job.
I'm Akela Hughes.
In Rebel Spirit, Season 2 goes deep on both of those things.
The fights, the politics, the people who won, and my personal.
campaign to add something to the Kentucky State House that's actually worth the wall space.
We are more than our bodies. We contain essence. We contain spirit. How do you represent that?
They are just fueling a fire that is really catching. You'll see what I mean. Listen to Rebel Spirit

Hey, I'm Jared Adano. You might know me as that loud guy who yells out, help on the internet.
Help! But there's so much.
much more to me than me. I'm an actor. I'm a comedian, and recently I've become quite the helper
myself. And on my new podcast, hope from a hypocrite I'll be changing lives, helping people in

Hit that thing.
He'd that thing, boy.
Stop playing.
Man, what the defense said?
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, that's two turnovers, Ocho.
I only had two.
Ocho, you didn't play for five minutes.
What defense?
I played the whole game.
What are you talking about?
I ain't come out.
I'm in shape.
With the rest of it.
Hey, hey, hey.
Hey, I've seen a lot of stuff,
a little suspect just in that little video.
You can take advantage of the time, time, my time, time,
where's the rest of the points?
That's all we got.
Hey, not, come on.
Hey, who edited that, man?
You ain't got nothing to do with us?
The hell.
Hey, hey, hey, hey, y'all, hey.
Oh, Cho.
Who edited that?
Ocho, Ocho.
Them handles look so suspect, bro.
Yo, no, no, it came off my shoe.
Yeah, come off your shoe with my ass.
Listen, they tell youself.
Them handles look so, bro, you're not going to score a bucket.
Joe.
Joe, hey, let me.
Joe, we watched the game tonight, right?
You watch the Spurs.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Who's the Spurs and Thunder, right?
Yeah.
You know what they had the night, Joe?
What they had?
What they had?
What's the head?
What you're trying to say?
You act like people don't turn the ball over, Joe.
I went to cross over to my left.
I went to cross over to my left and it hit my foot.
They didn't steal the ball.
It's still a turnover?
It's still a turnover.
Okay, okay.
Well, hell.
I ain't Darren Fox.
Huh?
Hey, but I had eight points out there on them boys.
Hey, Joe, are you seeing the shot?
You seen the shot?
I see that.
I see it.
Hey, Joe, hold on.
Hold on, Joe.
You ain't seen the fluidity
and the follow through right.
I've seen it.
Hey, Joe, I break my wrist so good, I look gay.
Hey, hey, Joe, they got to talk about Ocho
look like that Carfax Fox.
Hey, what's that?
What's the Carfax?
In that commercial.
Hey, he don't know anything about it.
I've seen you had them Carreys on.
How them Carreys felt?
Oh, but they had me.
feeling good. I think that's probably why I got eight, Joe.
Hey, Joe, them boy,
I know I'd be on here playing around,
talk about what I can do.
Boy, once you're on that coat with them boys,
that's six, five, and up, it's a different
ball game, but. So now I get
a better understanding of what the people in the NBA
got to deal with when Wimby out there.
Hey, it's very uncomfortable for me.
Hey, so imagine the hell you're going to have
with me. I'm just trying to figure out
how you told me. Yo, we're just
about the same height. I'm, I'm sorry. I'm
Six-four, me and Joe the same height.
Joe, he told her last night, he had eight, nine, and three.
That's what I had, eight, nine, and three.
No, I told my real stat line.
That's why I asked you where the rest of the damn footage.
I don't know.
That looked like it right there.
Yeah, y'all, y'all cheated me, man.
Y'all trying to make me look bad because I'm black.
The six-night, the six-nine you're talking about.
Y'all trying to make me look black because I'm black.
Hey, Joe, they're talking about the six-night.
He's talking about it's in the bedroom.
That's the only six-nine he got going on.
Hey, hey, hey.
And they know he free you too.
Yeah, they know that.
Yeah, hey, I like, I like,
hey, matter of fact,
now that y'all mentioned that too,
you should try and standing up.
You hit me off?
Oh, you're just, oh, hold up.
So hold up.
Yeah, yeah,
yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Try that, Joe.
I'm just saying I might have,
but I was to the side.
You know what I said, don't you?
I was to the side like you.
I'm just saying,
I ain't saying I may or may not have experienced something like that.
I'm just saying I was like I was talking to somebody.
Hey, I got you, I got you.
I got you.
Hold on, hold on.
I don't like how y'all ain't post all my footage, huh?
That was all that was sent to us with Joe.
That's it.
Oh, they see, they, they, hey, hey, hey, forget all that, Joe.
Well, you seen that shot, though, huh?
I see, I seen it. I see it. I see it, bro.
Hey, Joe, you ain't see the reds, huh?
Yeah, I see. I see. I see.
I see.
Hey, Joe.
Hey, oh.
Hey, please be there when I play Joe.
Oh, I'll be there.
I'm gonna make sure that.
Hey, hey, Joe, I'm telling you,
boy, you have your ass on skates, boy, you hear me?
Hey, uh, it's, hey, you,
all gonna have to pull the rain.
Hey, Joe, that's enough.
That's enough.
Don't do them like that.
Hey, I'm gonna have Joe so frustrated, unk.
He's gonna hit me how Wemby hit dude in the neck with the elbow.
Hey, Joe, I'm gonna get you rejected, boy.
I'm gonna make you fight me, one or the other.
Either way, both of them gonna be a loss.
Either way, you're gonna get your ass, boy.
Either way, you're going to get your ass what?
Hey, hey, you see how Lance Stevenson, body slam, uh, B's Lans.
Hey, I ain't know all these fights what happened.
Johnny Man Zaire fault.
Ray J got caught with a smooth right.
Man.
Hey, what was that?
We were watching last night, right?
What was that?
Hey, hey, they don't boy were going.
Hey, they're going.
May you see that dude hit Ray J?
Hey, it made that.
Hey.
And they knocked my dog.
It knocked Ray J out, man.
It didn't go talk about the fight was fixed.
Yeah.
That right hand fixed it right on the door for you.
Right.
Some of them dudes, they had no business
have their ass and no damn ring.
All the NBA teams were announced.
Shea and Yokic were unanimous MVP.
They got 100 votes.
Wimby got 99.
I don't know who in the hell left Wimby
out their ballot.
But hey.
Wow.
Luca and Cade Cunningham round out the first team,
all-N-B-A selections.
The second team was Jalen Brown,
Kauai Leonard,
Donovan Mitchell,
Kevin Durant,
Jalen Brunson.
The third team was Tyrese,
Jamarie,
Jalyn Johnson,
Jalen Duren,
and Chet Hongren.
Hey,
Jaylon,
and your boy,
May 1st team, huh?
Your boy, Jalen Duren,
your favorite player.
No, he made 13,
but he was a team.
an all-NBA selection.
That's going to be on his resume.
And you see the way that man played?
Well, this is from the regular season, no.
Regularly.
Hold on.
After Jalen Duren made the third team all-NBA selection,
he's now eligible for the Supermax,
which is 287.1 million extension.
He averaged 10 points in the postseason.
As a restricted phrase in this off-season,
the max he could receive from another team
is for years,
$177 million.
So he can get an extra year
and an extra $110 million from Detroit.
Damn.
We're probably going to stay in Detroit,
what you're saying?
Yes, it did.
I think the only issue for him is,
you think he averaged, what,
20 in the regular season, something like that?
Yeah, he was like 19 and 10.
So 19 to 10,
so obviously what he needs to work on
is being able to do that in the postseason.
I'm not sure if it's the pressure,
if it's a little different,
be scared to have that green light to be as free to shoot at will as opposed to the regular season.
That's all it is.
Being able to transition and doing what you're doing the regular season and just do it in the postseason.
And give Katie a little help.
Give Katie a little help so he ain't got to be sure.
You know, he don't have to shoulder to the load every guy there.
The problem you had, Uncle Ocho, he's really not an offensive guy.
You know, he is a blue-collar, hard-working.
Brother.
Getting 19, Joe?
Yeah, here, yeah.
Yes.
Yes.
Like, he ain't no guy, for real that you just throw the ball to him.
They go work.
Go get us a bucket or a file.
That ain't, they ain't.
He done a hell of a job in the regular season, average of 19 and 10,
and being an all-star.
And obviously, you know, getting to a point to where he's able, you know,
to make a bunch of money this summer.
I guess, you know.
$5 for $287.
Detroit can't let it.
Huh?
Five for $287.
That's what he's in line to get.
Detroit can't let him go, though.
Oh, sure, they got a pen.
And, hey, hold on, Joe.
When it comes to situations like this where he's eligible for five, five years, 287, right?
What if they don't want to pay him?
What if they want to use that money and, in a lot of it elsewhere?
What do you mean if you don't want to pay him?
Hell, you got to pay him.
What do you mean?
He's going to want a max contract.
So no matter what?
Yeah, he's going to want to, he third team all NBA.
That may he's going to make a, NBA teams, you make a, you get the risk.
player of the year, you win an MVP.
Right.
That's what you get.
And Chad doesn't have that escalator
his contract, Joe.
You don't?
But he just signed the deal, though.
But if he'd had the escalator in there, he'd have
an additional probably 40, 50 million.
Ooh.
Yeah. I mean, he's young enough.
He's going to be up for another deal.
I think J.B. probably pissed off that he
made second team here.
Oh, for sure.
But I think the NBA is going to run into it.
They're going to, they create, they open Pandora's box.
Because when they gave these waivers to Cade and they gave these waivers to Luca,
you know what's coming, Joe.
You know what's coming.
Guys are going to say, I had an extenuating circumstances.
That's why I missed.
Hold on.
Wait, but you have to be an extenuating player to be able to get the privilege.
If I'm an extenuating player, I can say I had an extenuating player.
I can say I had an extenuating circumstances.
That's the slippery slope that they've opened with Pandora's box in this situation.
Go ahead.
This is the thing.
The situation is too, uncle, when you think about, though, it's only so many players like that.
It's only so many players that are going to have that advantage to be able to say this.
But Ocho?
Only so many.
It's only a handful of them, now, out of a lot of players.
Here's the thing.
If I'm in line, okay, why did you make this rule for Ant Man?
Ant Man want to play more than anybody.
Yeah.
Yes.
See, that's the, you have to be careful with a certain rule,
with certain rules and how they are applicable because I'm telling,
you, I'm telling what's going to happen.
You already know what's going to happen.
I don't need to bring it up.
But guess what?
You're going to see a situation because there's too much money involved, Ocho.
You see the difference?
Yep.
Now I'm an all-N-Bs selection.
I add 100 million dollars to my contract, Ocho.
Oh.
Woo.
It's only going up.
I did an interview with Mark Cuban, and he said, he's like, Shannon, he's saying the next
five to seven years, somebody's going to make $100 million a year.
Oh, that's going to be us.
A hundred million in a year.
And he's right.
That's going to be us, Joe.
And when you dealing with that kind of money, hey, bereavement, my girl got pregnant.
We had complicated.
I'm too.
You just opened up.
up Pandora's box, that's all you did.
Yeah.
I've got to figure out.
Who to F. voted Wimby, second team.
I want to know who put Wimby.
I get it.
Yokic should be a first,
Yolkish should be unanimous.
I thought there were three guys
that should have been unanimous.
Wemby, Yokic, and Shea.
Who put Shay on the second team?
You mean, who put what?
Shee.
I'm not, Shea.
Wimby.
Wimby got 99, so you get 100 votes.
That means you're unanimous.
Women got 99 votes.
Yeah, I wonder who done that too.
Yeah, he's going to be here.
From here on out here, he's going to be first team.
Jalen Brown said on Twitch tonight, I'm grateful.
God is the greatest.
I'm not the most like.
Sometimes I use my platform a little controversially.
I'm surprised I win awards at all sometimes.
J.B. like damn this.
You know what it is?
J.B.
feel like, you know, he has so much control into, you know, his own self
and what he got going, meaning his shoe endorsements and things of that sort.
He's the only one capitalized enough of that.
So understanding that he's not a Nike guy, Adidas guy, none of that,
that a lot of these fights, he's going to have to fight.
He's going to have to fight him on his damn own.
But you got to understand that.
Muhammad Ali understood when he took the stance that he took,
he understood what came along with.
it. Yeah. Yeah. When John Smith and and Carlos, when they did what they did in 1968,
they understood. So you can't be, if you're willing to take that stance, and I commend it,
because he's done, he's a, he's a brilliant brother. He understands. He's very socially conscious.
But here's the thing that you got to understand. No matter what you stand up for, Ocho and
Joe, somebody is directly opposed to it.
Mm-hmm.
You want to save the whale, you want to save a dog,
you want to save a hyena.
Somebody's going to say, well, what about the ninja?
Save him.
Yeah, yeah.
I'm just, I'm just being 1,000%.
If you understand how history works,
go back and study even the greatest,
our greatest philosophers, our greatest leaders,
somebody was opposed to something they did or something they said.
So J.B. just needs to understand that.
He's a phenomenal player.
He's very socially conscious, and I understand that.
He really sincerely wants to make the world,
he wants to make America a better place.
But somebody, someone, really likes the status quo.

Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers, and guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news, new?
Huge news.
We created our own podcast called...
Hey Jonas. We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it. We just contributed to a...
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
Well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band.
Before Jonas Brothers was...
This is how you guys remember it going down.
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast,
people could call in and say, hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas,
and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

Here's something that should not be as complicated as it is.
Getting a racist statue removed.
And here's something that should be
a whole lot easier than it is.
Getting a new one put up in its place.
As long as there's a politics of race in America,
there's going to be a politics of remembering the Civil War.
To get to school, I had to go down Robert Lee Boulevard.
Get to the grocery store.
I had to go down Jefferson Davis Parkway.

In Rebel Spirit, season two goes deep on both of those things,
the fights, the politics, the people who won,
and my personal campaign to add something to the
Kentucky State House that's actually worth the wall space.
We are more than our bodies.
We contain essence. We contain spirit.
How do you represent that?
They are just fueling a fire that is really catching.
You'll see what I mean.

Hey, I'm Jared Adano.
You might know me as that loud guy who yells out,
help on the internet.
Help!
But there's so much more to me than that.
I'm an actor. I'm a comedian, and recently I've become quite the helper myself.
And on my new podcast, Hope from a Hypocrite, I'll be changing lives, helping people in need with my sage advice and thoughtful solutions.
Sike, I'm a comedian. I'm not qualified to give good advice.

And they don't want you to upset it.
Hmm.
No, sir.
Damn.
Hey, Joe.
What's that?
I just did. I just did 60 push-up real quick, bro.
What you got going, man? You're all right?
I'm just saying, you see how big I am?
Hey, when he thing, get a hold of you, boy, and I play through contact and you,
and I get that shot off?
Hey, Joe, I'm going to get to my MIDI by any means necessary.
You hear me?
What did you? What did that?
You're too damn little.
Joe, I'm 205 right now, Joe.
You're too damn little.
Joe, I'm too old.
We're way about the same.
We ain't no damn same man.
I weighed 250 pounds.
Excuse me.
What that's supposed to mean to me?
Huh?
What that's supposed to mean to me, Joe?
I dealt with people 300, 250, 205, too.
Joe, everybody got the same work every Sunday, Joe.
You're gonna get your bell rang home over here.
I'm just letting you know.
I'm just saying, hey, hey, you know, I'm cool.
I'm laid back chill, but I'm telling you, when I sit my ass up,
Ocho, you're in trouble.
Hey, all that cool to me that don't mean nothing to me.
All right.
Okay.
Hey, Joe, even if you're hostile, that'll mean none to me.
Okay.
Regardless to how you're coming, you're going to get the same work.
Okay.
You're going to be the same result.
But guys, let me ask you question.
I don't think J.B. is as dislike as he thinks because you know people got to vote for you to win finals MVP.
People have to vote for you to win Larry Bird Award.
People have to vote.
Right.
See, it wasn't like this.
until 1980, players voted.
Yeah.
So it didn't matter what the media thought of you.
So in order for you to even get second team,
somebody that you thought maybe didn't like you voted for you.
And guess what?
To win the finals MVP,
somebody had to vote for you to win the Larry Bird Award.
Somebody had to vote for you.
Now, I know it was a, you know,
he felt that he was, he should have been on the Olympic team.
but when you think about it,
if you're taking
LeBron, KD,
you take three forwards.
Bam, Bam, could also play
he can play the power forward
and he can play LeBron, but
they need the guys. When you put together an Olympic team, Joe,
you know you got your guys, but you got to
have some guys that all they do is play
defense. Devin Booker, all he did was play defense.
Derek White, all he did was play defense.
or Holiday, all we played defense.
Ant was playing defense.
He got a few shots here and there.
I understand what you are in the NBA.
You're a phenomenal player.
But in that situation, that's not what they need.
You need role players.
Yeah.
Well, I think when you play on the USA team,
you know, you got to sacrifice any damn way.
You got to know and understand.
It may be nice.
It may be games.
You get four shots.
It may be games.
You may get 14 damn shots.
But I don't know.
I have to kind of disagree with you on.
this one because I think J.B. is a better defensive player than all those guys you just talked about.
When you talk about, I think in the Olympics, he could, he could pick up full court.
He can play off Brund. He can play off KD because he can make a shot wide open. He can catch a
shoot. You know what I mean? I think he would have brought a great element for Team USA because you look at
his bill, how strong is, how he took Luca out of the finals that year by picking him on full court
and wearing him down. I think he would have played great.
in that. And I think he'll never, he'll probably never come out and say it, but I think he'll never forget the NBA for leaving him off their team.
Oh, no, no, no. Because how in the hell, you take three of my damn teammates and I ain't one of them.
It just don't make sense, bro. All of them Nike guys and he got his own shoe. They're not, hey, hey, when we talk about, we talk about business and everything is about money, they ain't going to let him come over there and make his shoe global.
No, no, no, no. Just keeping it 100.
You're right.
I went you when you're right.
They're not doing that.
Like you ain't a Nike athlete.
Yeah, yeah.
You're going to get left up.
Because you remember in 92 when Reebok was the official outfit of the Olympics.
What those guys do, those Nike guys do?
They put tape over that Reebok sign.
George said, no, absolutely not.
You'll get no pub off me.
Right.
You absolutely will not.
Yeah, he did the whole ceremony with something over his.
Oh, he had a towel.
He had a towel over.
Yeah, a towel.
Those guys had towers over the Reebok logo.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Hey man.
All this, everything is about money.
Absolutely.
Money, endorsement.
So we can look at it however we want to look at it.
But they all got a plan now.
It's a plan.
It's corporations that feel a certain type of way and feel that he's bad for business.
But I'm talking about the people to actually vote.
Because look, Grant Hill and whoever else putting this team together,
Grant Hill, T, Lou, Spow, Steve Kerr.
Like I said, being able to do it and said, okay, who do we believe that?
Because a lot of times, Ocho, Joe, you know, hey, I tell you one thing until I get there.
Then I'm going to do something totally different.
Yeah.
David Booger, hey, hey.
Devin Booger say, take me, I ain't got to take a shot.
Hey, hey, we know what book is.
Book is an all-star, all-N-BAA selection.
Like, hey, I ain't got to take a shot.
I'll play what y'all do.
Whatever y'all need me to do, I'll do.
But look,
Tabby's a phenomenal player.
I mean, you don't win finals MVP.
You don't win the Labrard Award.
He's a, this is not his first,
how many times all-NBA selections have you been?
I think he made it last year.
So he's been a two or three-time all-NBA selection.
Yeah.
He's phenomenal.
He's phenomenal.
And I, no, I'm not saying that he shouldn't have been on there.
He should have.
Yeah.
He should have.
I ain't going to lie, because if that was me, I'd have been pissed out too.
He made the last year, didn't he?
This is his first one?
This came.
Is this the first?
All-NBA selection.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
So he's a two-time All-NBA selection.
Looks good on his resume.
He's a finals MVP because when they come to vote for the Hall of Payne, they're going to look at that.
How many All-Star games did you make?
How many All-MBA selections did you make?
Were you a MVP, a league MVP,
where you're a finals MVP,
where you're at Eastern or Western Conference MVP?
Definitely would have a help.
You know, have a gold medal.
He's a one time or two time or three time
or four time gold medal winning.
I mean, but first of all,
I mean, some guys, you ain't even looking at,
hey, LeBron, KD,
Steph Curry, what are we talking about?
Yeah.
What are we talking about?
But it's, you know,
some of the other guys that you know,
you're going to have to have a serious discussion.
But they do, Joe, they taking college into account.
They take it a lot of other things into account.
But you know, certain guys, even with no gold medals,
Steph Curry is a first ballot, LeBron James 100%,
Kevin Rand, 100%, even with no,
and KD probably going to get an opportunity
to go for five gold medals in 28.
But based on what he's done in the NBA,
what are we talking about?
Absolutely.
Tom Kreen,
said this is just an absolute joke.
Anthony Edwards did not get the waiver
to be eligible for the NBA honors this year.
Anthony, epitomizing, wanting to play,
doing whatever it takes to play.
He doesn't take personal days.
He shows up, he brings it, he missed him
for injuries.
He didn't miss for convenience.
I agree.
Hold on.
Oh, how many games did he have,
how many did he miss?
How many was he away from him?
He played in 61 games, so he missed 20.
Yeah, that hurt, bro.
Going to get that thing next, you're at, man,
and get on back there, and so you'll be eligible for that contract.
Going to get that $345, $350, $400,000.
Shit, on top of what he getting from Adidas already.
Exactly.
Yeah.
Azzie Fudd.
Third quarter surge.
Is it AZ or Aze?
Azy Fud.
Page Beckers.
But Fud had 17 of her 24 in the third.
quarter page buckets page beckers had 24 and a dallas mavericks made seven three
points in the quarter to go up 71 61 leading into final 10 minutes ricka umgumwale had 19
that three guard line up was it was crazy the problem that you're going to have joe is that they
don't really have any rebounding or in uh interior defense but if they're knocking down shots because
ain't nobody who stay in front of them they're we already know reek is a big shot taker big shot maker
Two-time all-star game MVP.
We remember her hitting the big shots in the NCAA tournament
with you that know the name.
She's a big shot, take a big shot maker.
We know what Paige Beckers is.
Now, if Fudd, who was coming off the bench
and the coach left her end, he started it in the second half.
If they're going to play like this, they can be an issue.
The problem you're going to have is rebounding.
Stewart didn't have the best game.
I thought John Quill Jones is playing well,
considered she missed substantial amount of time last year.
Anescu is just getting back, but boy, they look good.
Man, I wouldn't watch, I wouldn't watch the Dallas,
the Dallas team play against the dream the other day.
And the dream, Dream took them out the game, Uncle Ocho,
meaning they guards was non-effective.
Like you say, with Andrew Reach down there,
battling, rebound in the way she does,
the Dallas wings,
They couldn't do nothing, man.
They got ruined up out of the building.
So for them to turn around and have a performance like this,
I mean, this is kind of what everybody has seen.
Maybe you start to start these three guards
who can take pressure off one another.
Yeah.
Because they all, hey, they all can get buckets.
For sure.
But, man, reek and handle that rock.
Man, I watched her in the All-Star game a couple years ago in Phoenix.
Yeah.
She got to it.
She got right to it.
Hey, hey, she can play.
I played in a, when the All-Star game was in Utah,
some of our years back probably about three, four years ago.
We played in this celebrity little game together.
It was like a two-on-two.
So I played against her.
And she can really play, bro.
She can really, really play.
Yeah, she can play with the dudes, what I'm saying.
Oh, yeah.
She got to have a, no, no, Joe.
She's for real.
Yeah.
She can get to get to it.
She probably would.
Huh?
I think people will understand, especially when you say that, you know, they always have pushback and say, oh, she can't play with no dudes.
She can't, the fact that she can create space, the fact that she can create space, let alone, just based off skill set alone, means she can play with the men.
Yeah.
I beat them, I said play with.
Yeah.
And I think there's a lot of, well, I ain't going to say a lot, but there's a few girls who are capable of playing pick up ball with guys.
And she is one of them.
Like, when I tell you, she held her own and it was a two on two on two.
It was a two-on-two tournament.
It was probably about eight to ten teams.
Like, she would get money out there, boy.
Yeah.
You ain't going to tell me?
I've seen it up close and personal.
I'm good.
I'm convinced.
I'm convinced.
But just watching them play today, I mean, the way Fudd was coming off that pick
and knocking down that three, and then Paige got going to the fourth quarter,
RIC is going to be RIC.
The problem is that the Liberty got in foul trouble.
And so every time they're going to the free throw line and they was knocking
a page was knocking them down, Rieke was knocking them down.
and that really, you know.
Yeah, they open it up on the girl.
But if you tell me they're going to, you know,
they're going to do that.
Odyssey Sims on the team too.
Yeah, you ain't seen?
But I didn't see, she only played a little bit.
But she's another, that left is she can get the bucket.
She can get at it too now.
You know, she was at Baylor.
She can get at it.
But, you know,
And the Liberty got a big team.
You know, they go Stewie, they go Situ, Zabali,
John Quill Jones.
But Anescu's going to take a little while to get a rhythm back.
Jean-Quil's going to take a little ride together
because you missed basically all the last year.
Satu came over.
But look, when it's all said done, you know,
I think Minnesota will be there.
I think the Liberty will be there.
Obviously, the Aces will be there.
I like Atlanta.
Atlanta's going to be, you know, Ryan Howard is money.
Gray, Angel Reese.
Angel Reese is a double-double machine.
So.
The WNBA is in good hands, man.
I like, I like how the women's game is growing.
The Atlanta Dream used the late surge to beat the Phoenix Mercury, 8280.
The Dream used the 9-0 run in the span of 85 seconds to tie the game at 73
with just over a minute remaining.
Ryan Howard had 21 points.
Alicia Gray had 17.
and Angel Reese recorded her third double double of the season,
17 points and 10 rebounds.
Jordan Canada had 11 points and 14 rebounds
for her first double double of the season.
Hey, Angel Reese out there getting them FGAs up, man.
Look, she's going to rebound the ball.
Doesn't have the most aesthetically pleasing shot.
It seems like it has a hitch.
But boy.
Yeah.
On the glass?
She's robbing on the glass.
Hold on.
Hey, but just watching Ryan Howard the other night, the way she moved, the way she played, the way she can score the ball.
Okay, Ojo.
The dream got a really nice team.
I like, I like, I like Gray, too.
They got a very, very good team, bro.
They can really make some noise in the WNBA.
They're exciting to watch.
They're exciting to watch.
Hey, man, don't y'all know how?
Man, listen, the tickets, they probably sold out.
They probably sell out every game now.
Wow.
Yeah.
And they got some nice.
I talk to.
You know, they got a Pow Pow from Carolina.
They got O'Cott.
You know, Ryan Howard was the number of overall pick from Kentucky.
You're right, Joe.
They got a nice of Twat.
I'm surprised that considering how well they played the first game, the Mercury,
they blew out the aces.
They had won the game since, Joe.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Hey, you know, the Dream played at the State Farm Arena a couple of times.
You know, they outgrew this facility.
that they got out there by the airport.
That's where they played.
I forgot the name of the arena.
But it's a small arena.
I had a chance to talk to the owner.
And then the general manager,
when I went to the game another day,
he was like, it's so chaotic.
Going to the games,
he's like, we've outgrown this facility.
So they're trying to figure out what's next.
Play a state farm.
Hey, guys, it's us.
