And if you can find a way to curate and help the right person discover the right content, the term that we always hear from our audience is that they feel seen. Listen to Good Company on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:01:05 They look good. They look good. They look good. The Celtics, they gave one a lot. Go away. 45 missed threes. Jalen Brown, 7 of 20, 1 of 10 from three. Jason Tatum, 7 of 23, 4 of 15 from three. Derek White, 6 of 18, 5 of 16 from three.
Starting point is 00:01:23 Przingis played 13 minutes. He was dealing with some injuries. The 45 missed threes are more than the Knicks shot threes. The Knicks had been 0-10 versus top three teams this season. They are undefeated against them in the playoffs. I don't get the Celtics. I don't, me, if the Celtics is on, I don't like watching them play because all they do is go come down and jack up threes. Now, I watched last night Jason Tatum.
Starting point is 00:01:47 Jason Tatum shot a three. He got the rebound, shot another three. Somebody else got the rebound, kicked it to him. He shot another three. Guess what? They got the rebound again. I'll give you one more guess what you think he did, Ryan, when he got the ball back. Shot a three.
Starting point is 00:02:01 Shot a three. How about this here? How about this, Ocho? The Celtics shot the ball 20 times in the ball back. Shot a three. Shot a three. How about this here? How about this, Ocho? The Celtics shot the ball 20 times in the third quarter. 19 of them was threes. At what point in time do you say, Ryan,
Starting point is 00:02:13 you know, hey, hey, how about we run a Missoula? How about, come on, hey, ref, give me a full one. I want a full one. Yeah. But, Unc. Hey, guys, come on,
Starting point is 00:02:22 let's run a set. I have a question. Let's get something going to the basket. Right. I got a question, though, Unc and Ryan. Yeah. But Unc. Hey, guys, come on. Let's run a set. I have a question. Let's get something going to the basket. Right. I got a question, though. Unc and Ryan. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:28 They just won the NBA championship. Doing what last year? Shooting what? Yeah, that was last year. Okay, but this year they had a record. They had the best record
Starting point is 00:02:37 in the East, if I'm not correct, right? No. The Cavs had the best record. The Cavs had the second best record. They had the second best record in the East by doing what?
Starting point is 00:02:46 Shooting what? But here's the thing, Ocho. In the postseason, you pay for that. You see what happened? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. You blew the Knicks out. You had a 20-point lead. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:59 A 20-point lead. They struggled. And you keep shooting. At what point in time do you say, hey, man, man, we done missed 12 of these things in a row. They struggle. At what point in time do you say, hey, man, we done missed 12 of these things in a row. You don't want to get anything going to the basket? Everybody was missing. It wasn't just one person.
Starting point is 00:03:13 Nobody was hitting. Let's see, 25, 41. So Jason Tatum, Jalen Brown, and Derek White was 10 for 41 from the three. Let me challenge you right now. Go ahead.
Starting point is 00:03:32 You talked about Missoula, but the first person you talked about was who? Jay Tatum, right? Jay Tatum. Your best player has the green light to take the basketball, get on the elbow, call his own number, and go one-on-one and go make a play. Now, granted, Mikael Bridges is a dog. Okay, OG is a dog.
Starting point is 00:03:56 New York has two guys. Well, you can't be the face of the NBA if you can't beat Mikael Bridges. You can't be the face of the NBA. Mikael a dog, though. Mikael a dog. Hey, I don't care for your alibi. and mckay mckay the dog though hey i don't care if you're alibi one of the toughest dogs in the turkish region i don't care if he's a dogo i whatever dog what i don't what dog you want you want a south african bauble whatever dog you want you cannot be the face of the nba if you're telling me that because you tell me what face of the nba couldn't go get it regardless of who was guarding it.
Starting point is 00:04:29 But here's the thing. You're right. For JT, go get the ball and go make a play. Give McKell Bridges his love. And you're right when you're saying that. You got to go make a play. He's got to go get his shot off in that moment. Now, in terms of the series, I don't know where you guys
Starting point is 00:04:46 stand on this. Ocho? I don't know if you're jumping on Nick's. I don't know if you... Listen, hey, right? I don't have no horse in the race. Coming out of the East, I'm a Heat fan. So, I'm done. Okay, Chad.
Starting point is 00:05:02 Put your hat on because I want to read this to you. This jumped out to me the most when you talk about the Knicks. When the Knicks are good, Chad. Okay, Chad. Well, put your hat on because I want to read this to you. This jumped out to me the most when you talk about the Knicks. And I'm happy for you. When the Knicks are good, it's good for basketball. The Cal Bridges, 51 minutes. OG, 46 minutes.
Starting point is 00:05:15 Brunson, 44 minutes. Josh Hart, 45 minutes. You can't win like that against the Celtics because the Celtics, 44, 45, 44 for Jason Tatum, Derek White, and Jalen Brown. They're going to take a rest.
Starting point is 00:05:28 They're going to get breaks. They've been conditioned to have their breaks during the season, hence why their record wasn't like that. They were the second in the East. Were they talented enough to be the first? Come on, fellas. Absolutely. So these are the times they have to turn it on. Give New York some credit.
Starting point is 00:05:47 Give Jalen Brunson some credit. You talking about dogs? Don't go there, dog. Don't have it? That ain't no puppy dog. I know he little. Yeah, man. I love that dude.
Starting point is 00:05:58 I love his game. He can get it, boy. They're top five. New York's top five. And the Celtics' top five, they even out. But when you get down and you talk about rest, when you talk about how hard it was for you to get there, when you talk about minutes and wear and tear,
Starting point is 00:06:15 I'm going to give Boston that edge at the end of the day. But talent-wise, you can go like this. You go like this. 0-5 or 0-5. Because when you look at it, Mikael Bridges can play defense. OG can play defense. Josh Hart can play defense.
Starting point is 00:06:31 So if you look at the three offensive weapons, so if you go JT, JB, Derek White, we right there with you. We right there with you. And so now you got Cat. Now Cat is not known as a defensive, but he can pull their
Starting point is 00:06:46 big. Now it'll be interesting to see what Przingas brings back to the table because he only played 13 minutes. And they're a
Starting point is 00:06:54 different team when Przingas is healthy and when he's on the floor doing what he's doing because he can shoot the three, he can run the
Starting point is 00:06:59 floor, he can protect the rim. So now they don't really play him and they do some, him and Al Horford, but you know, Al gonna give you
Starting point is 00:07:07 great production on the defensive end. He can get big threes. I thought Holiday did a great job yesterday. And you see, just about every time down the floor,
Starting point is 00:07:15 Holiday would take him, then Derrick White would take him, then JB would get a little of him. So they tried to wear him down. They tried to wear him down. Go ahead, go ahead, Ryan. I want you to think about this, Go ahead, Ryan. What you think
Starting point is 00:07:25 about this, and Chad, tell me if I'm wrong with this. I've always felt like the key to the Celtics was Drew Holiday. And I feel like in those moments, obviously, I'm calling those two guys out. Drew Holiday's dead, and my apologies. He's good enough to have gone
Starting point is 00:07:42 and got the ball. And I feel like when he's on, he changes their team. He's the guy you can't match up with. Because when you go through the scouting report, you think about pressing Tatum off the three-point line, helping on the weak side. Not letting Denon Brown bully you to his right hand.
Starting point is 00:08:00 Those are the common sense plays. But Drew Holiday is the guy who can put you in jail. He's a big guard, Chad. He can take you underneath and you can't help. You know, when Golden State was good, Chad, he was like, you one-on-one, I got Curry, I can't leave. You one-on-one, I got Quay Thompson, I can't leave.
Starting point is 00:08:18 They shoot the three maybe not like Golden State. Obviously, statistically, they're better or they've hit more threes. But you can't help. So if I'm Drew Holiday, I'm going to put Brunson in jail. I don't want Brunson to go with me.
Starting point is 00:08:32 As a matter of fact, I love Josh Hart. Ain't no way Josh Hart loves me. Put him in jail. If the hell comes, you can move the basketball. So I think if there's more of a focus with Drew Holiday
Starting point is 00:08:43 and his minutes offensively, I think he's the guy that really gets them going. I think if there's more of a focus with Drew Holiday and his minutes offensively I think he's the guy that really gets them going I think the key last night for the Knicks was OG because he's 10 or 20 and he was center he got better he got better
Starting point is 00:08:59 he played unbelievable you know you look you better have a big lead in clutch time if you're going to beat the Knicks. Because that little left-handed joker, Brunson, oh, he going to get his points now. He going to hit a three. He going to get to his minute. Or you going to follow him. He going to go to the free throw line.
Starting point is 00:09:19 But you better have a substantial lead. Yeah. And I hate saying clutch because it wouldn't be clutch time if the game is more than five points in the last five minutes. But, boy, every shot. Hell, I thought he wanted a regulation because the ball did everything but go into hoop when he went to the basket. He went over Al's outstretched arm.
Starting point is 00:09:40 But I do think the Celtics make right tomorrow and win that game. Wait, wait, wait. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Oh, whoa. So you think— They was up 20, Ocho. Ocho, they was up 20, Ocho. They not going to go to that old school.
Starting point is 00:09:58 So you still think you got the Celtics to win the series? Yes, I do. Ryan, you got the Celtics to win the series? Yeah, yeah, yeah. For what I said, it's too many minutes for New York. Okay. They're going to run out of gas. Here's this, though, and this is my thing kind of with the Celtics,
Starting point is 00:10:15 and I think this was an ego-driven move with all due respect to Missoula and those guys. So, Chad, when you first got in the league and you saw one-on-one, and you had one-on-one, and you had one-on-one, what did you expect every single time? I expected the ball to come. Jalen Brunson came off a pick-and-roll,
Starting point is 00:10:35 coverage one through five switch off. He had Al Horford, barbecue chicken. He had their wife. Stop doing it. Stop. Barbecue chicken. What? Chad, at what point did they realize don't leave Ocho alone
Starting point is 00:10:50 use Chad Dawson then use Ocho King later don't leave Chad Dawson alone don't leave him alone don't leave him alone yeah
Starting point is 00:10:58 don't leave Jay LaBrunson alone no without Horford Blitz that's what that's what the great was gonna do
Starting point is 00:11:05 let me find out Ocho just like anything else you got the hook up at the store such and such a hook up at the store what you gonna do you gonna go down there get that hook up man look here you keep calling
Starting point is 00:11:20 what did Ant-Man do against the Lakers he kept calling give me Luka give me Luka. Give me Rui. No, no, no, no, no, no. I ain't trying to get Vanderbilt. I ain't trying to get Phoenix. Hey, give me one of them.
Starting point is 00:11:33 That's what you do. You find a weak link. You find a fish, and you don't let him off the hook. I got to bring you into it. I got to get you in the boat. And that's what they did. And you see what the Knicks did? They went to that pick and roll, and every time, I know Al
Starting point is 00:11:49 played great defense, but Al is not staying in front of Dre LaBruza. He's going to get to that step back, or he's going to do the handsy and get to the basket. So you got a choice. I got something you don't want to hear right now. What is it? So if I'm New York and I'm Tibbs, and I say, right now. What is it? So if I'm New York and I'm Tibbs and I say,
Starting point is 00:12:07 how do I win this series? How do I win this series? I'm going to say something you don't want to know. I mean, that too. That too. Carl Anthony Towns. Carl Anthony Towns is somebody that New York, excuse me, that Boston would struggle to match up with.
Starting point is 00:12:25 He had 14 points. He's a plus eight, 31 minutes, good, solid game. He's a foul trouble. Yeah, you can't be a foul trouble. Chad, am I wrong by saying it? Hold on, I'm going to ask you, which car Anthony Towns you talk about? You talk about the one that's going to be in the block
Starting point is 00:12:44 and in the post, or are you going to talk about... He ain't going to be in the block and in the post? Or you're going to talk about... He ain't going to be in the block and in the post because you don't want to play with the back to the basket. That's everybody's problem with him, right? Shooting the three. Which Carl Anthony Towns? If he gets his mind made up, I don't think Boston can...
Starting point is 00:12:59 Now, Porzingis has got size. They got some bodies they can throw at him. Right. But he's the guy that you go, like, I'm telling you, from the Celtics standpoint, they're going, we don't want to see him on the block. We don't want to see him drive. We got to get him a group.
Starting point is 00:13:17 You have to attack him and pick and roll. You got to spread the floor and get him off the floor and get him in foul trouble. But if you can go at him, I mean, he played 31 minutes. Yeah. That's an X factor. If I'm New York and that starts to take over, because I know I got Brunson. Right.
Starting point is 00:13:35 I know I got Brunson. I know OG is hooping on Josh Hart. Going to be there when you need him. Paul Anthony Towns is a guy who can sway this series. Now, unfortunately, we've been saying this for a long time. I think he's had a heck of a year. I think if we're going to be honest,
Starting point is 00:13:49 Minnesota will probably... If Minnesota had Paul Anthony Towns tonight, they'd win this game. Because you wouldn't have been guarding them the way they was guarding them. You wouldn't have been going small,
Starting point is 00:13:59 you know, hypothetically. But at the end of the day, if he takes over and takes a double team, if they have to double him, now you got action. I like it. Draymond Green was asked if Steph Curry was good when he walked off the floor. Steph told him, I'll be back.
Starting point is 00:14:15 Draymond said the Warriors played several minutes without knowing Steph was out with a hamstring injury. He says, Robin turned into Batman and Alfred turned into Robin. Who's Robin? Who's Alfred? I think Jimmy was Robin that turned to Batman and Draymond was
Starting point is 00:14:35 Alfred that turned into Robin. Hey, let me ask y'all this because this is such a unique thing that happened tonight and I want y'all to understand because this is such a unique thing that happened tonight. And I want y'all to understand this. As basketball players, unless we have something going from the summer or something, we don't get hamstring injuries. What do y'all expect out of a hamstring?
Starting point is 00:15:00 It didn't look like maybe just a grade one. I mean, I'm not medical expert, but low level. But how do y'all, because y'all always have hamstring injuries it was that was that that was a low level grade one grade one hamstring you know you you you make a certain movement on and it pull and to grab you and you and you and you catch it just in time where it doesn't pull bad but as bad as it's it's enough you know okay you know what i got to go sit this one out i got got to sit this down. I got to get me an MRI in the morning, which is why the injury that I think, based on what I saw from Steph, that's two weeks.
Starting point is 00:15:32 That's two weeks. They ain't got two weeks. Well, hopefully he's kind of dehydrated and it's just a cramp. And he get, you know, get rehydrated. It's going to be a little sore. Yeah. And hopefully, you know, like you said, he'll miss one game and then he can come back.
Starting point is 00:15:47 Now, they must run and get two games. Now, hey, I got an extra game I can play with. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I got an extra game I can play with. Look, I just like the way they play without their big guy, and that's why you go get a Jimmy Butler. I'm not so sure if you don't have a Jimmy. I'm not so sure if you don't have a jimmy i'm not so sure if you don't have jimmy butler you're even in this situation i don't know if
Starting point is 00:16:08 you get past houston without jimmy butler right so with that being said uh and when you know when jimmy goes down you know steph picks up you get a guy's filling in doing a little extra okay fine you can live with that but uh it's going to be interesting to see how Minnesota responds, how they defend, knowing they don't have to worry about all eyes on Steph Curry and worried about him running up and down the court, sideline, baseline to baseline, coming off picks, all those things. It's going to be interesting to see how they defend the Warriors
Starting point is 00:16:43 moving forward without Steph. I'm going to tell you one thing. They're going to run Buddy to see how they defend the Warriors moving forward without Steph. I'm going to tell you one thing. They're going to run Buddy Hield off the line. They're going to be able to keep size. They're going to keep size, and they're going to pack the paint on Jimmy Butler. And I think the physicality wraps up on the defensive end. And if I know anything about Chris Finch, defensively, he's a mastermind. He's an expert. So now
Starting point is 00:17:06 you don't have to expend your help. And now the confidence is not going to be there. Now, for Golden State, and I want to know how you guys feel about this, they're hard to play because they hold the ball. They take their time.
Starting point is 00:17:22 If they have a fast break, they'll throw it ahead. And it's similar to Denver. time. Yeah. Like, if they have a fast break, they'll throw it ahead. And it's similar to Denver. Denver will throw the ball ahead if they have a fast break. If not, they wait for Jokic. He gets up to court. And they kind of take their time. But Golden State holds the ball.
Starting point is 00:17:38 And if you're Anthony Edwards, what's Anthony Edwards? He walked the ball. He's excited. And now you take him out of rhythm. Right. Ant-Man was out of rhythm in the first half. He was rusty because they got done with their series early. They ran through the Lakers.
Starting point is 00:17:49 I don't know if you can take a heat, but they ran through the Lakers. But they keep you out of rhythm. So Golden State is dangerous and frustrated to a young team that doesn't want to grind like that. And those are problems that Minnesota has. So Minnesota is going to have to try to create
Starting point is 00:18:06 turnovers and pace in transition. Football is somebody holding the ball. You know y'all pro-Lyntical offense. We don't hold the ball. We're not going to let you get touches. Well, that's what you have to do. Remember Ocho, that first Super Bowl,
Starting point is 00:18:21 the first Super Bowl the Eagles played against Patrick Mahomes. Right. They were snapping the ball each time under five seconds. Because I want to minimize Patrick Mahomes' T.O.P., time of possession. I don't want him to have all this time. So I'm going to run as much time off the clock. Everything is snapped under five seconds.
Starting point is 00:18:41 So we score a touchdown. We want to eat nine, ten minutes off the clock. Right. But, you know, 10 minutes off the clock. Right. And, but you know, it worked the first time this, this, this last Super Bowl, they just, they just had the better team and I'm not surprised they won. I'm surprised by how much they won by not that they won. I'm Michael Kasson, founder and CEO of 3C Ventures and your guide on good company, the podcast where I sit down with the boldest innovators shaping what's next. In this episode, I'm joined by Anjali Sood, CEO of Tubi, for a conversation
Starting point is 00:19:10 that's anything but ordinary. We dive into the competitive world of streaming, how she's turning so-called niche into mainstream gold, connecting audiences with stories that truly make them feel seen. What others dismiss as niche, we embrace as core. It's this idea that there are so many stories out there, and if you can find a way to curate and help the right person discover the right content, the term that we always hear from our audience is that they feel seen. Get a front row seat to where media, marketing, technology, entertainment and sports collide and hear how leaders like Anjali are carving out space and shaking things up a bit in the most crowded of markets. Listen to Good Company on the iHeartRadio app, Apple podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. an eight-part audible original. Guided by his own words, this series explores Ali's life and legacy
Starting point is 00:20:26 through never-before-heard audio recordings and discussions with those who knew him best. Muhammad had this real sense of his own personal values and principles, things he believed in, his own sense of conviction. Those convictions never wavered. Hosted by Muhammad's wife, Lani Ali, and his close friend, award-winning broadcaster, John Ramsey, Ali and Me goes beyond the boxing ring to delve deeply into Ali's extraordinary life through conversations with Billy Crystal, Mike Tyson, Rosie Perez, Common, Will Smith, and Bob Costas. It created a North Star for me of how I want to be in the world, you know. As a child, as a young person, he gave credence to my audacity. There's no debate that this is the greatest global sports figure of our lifetime.
Starting point is 00:21:20 Listen to Ali and Me, now on Audible. Draymond Green calls out Dylan Brooks for not shaking anyone's hand after the game. Draymond labels him a sucker and says nobody respects him. Ryan, that's your guy. You call the Rockets game. You got to defend his action. Now, I love Dylan Brooks. Dylan's going to do what he wants to do.
Starting point is 00:21:49 And at the end of the day, when these two personalities collided, I don't think we would have expected anything less with Dylan Brooks and Draymond. And the unique part
Starting point is 00:22:01 about Draymond, shout out to Dray, by the way, I like you later. I didn't like you a couple of days ago. And I'm still sore over that game seven. He is able to play the game and then pop on his podcast the next day. It's talking his trash.
Starting point is 00:22:16 He don't got to wait for the media. He don't got to do it in the presser. You have to come to him. And he's not reliant on scoring. So he can back it up with his defense. He can back it up with scoring, so he can back it up with his defense. He can back it up with his defense. He can back it up with his IQ. Draymond, I played against you. I know
Starting point is 00:22:31 you, brother. All the flails and all the stuff, they're calculated. They're smart. When his team needs something, he brings it to the table. Tonight, he had three or four three-pointers as soon as Steph Curry stepped off the floor from a point total. Back to him and Dylan Brooks. Dylan has been unbelievable for Houston, Houston's culture,
Starting point is 00:22:50 what he brings to the table. It's a toughness and an energy. And he's the villain. He plays that role. And you know what? Draymond going to defend Steph. He said what he said about Steph and the presser. That's who Dylan Brooks is.
Starting point is 00:23:03 And we love him and embrace him. And again, with those two personalities, I expect nothing less. Oh, yeah. I agree. They're kind of alike, really. I mean, obviously, Draymond is more accomplished. He's asked to do more. And Draymond didn't play with Steph.
Starting point is 00:23:18 Steph is the most likable person on the planet. Yeah, everybody likes him. He's the most likable on the planet. It's hard to dislike him. Because you know why, right? I think everybody likes him. Because he's a common man. You can see, like, man, he ain't 6'9".
Starting point is 00:23:32 He ain't 7 foot. He ain't got shoulders like Dwight Howard. He's just like a common man. Most guys, LeBron is 6'9". Most of the guys are honking. And so I can't be him man i can steph kirk look like a guy walking down the street and he's so likable you see you saw him when you saw his daughter she was on his lap riley we fell in love with riley aisha they do a great job we got kids
Starting point is 00:23:59 you know everything so it's just hard to dislike him you're like man i don't like now i like golden state i just don't like draymond i'm saying that's how people look at it man i love golden state if they have draymond i really like him right but i'm not so sure if they didn't have draymond they could be golden state that we know of today ain't no way ain't no way oh he's so smart listen I think it was game two and it was game two and game one and our guys were going on the run all of a sudden
Starting point is 00:24:30 man he just somebody to the floor our guys were like doing something and you know we're building energy the game had a flow
Starting point is 00:24:40 he just messed the flow up dog like but he knows right he listen and they're they're baiting him on the internet because they realize this is the craziest thing I've ever seen He just has to flow up, dog. But he knows. Listen, they're baiting him on the internet because they realize this is the craziest thing I've ever seen in a contest.
Starting point is 00:24:51 Draymond does, forget what he does, he gets the technical foul, right? So now we're up there calling the game. We're going. He's just one more. He's gone. Tari Eason picks his pockets. Tari's about to go down
Starting point is 00:25:05 to score we start a fast break Draymond leg kicks Tari Eason Tari goes down and Draymond pretends like his feet
Starting point is 00:25:13 fall in the Tari's head and he loves Tari by the way so this is basketball and the refs look at him we're like
Starting point is 00:25:20 he's gone finally he's out it's over the referee came for the skiffle and said, that's a flagrant one. Two technicals and you're gone.
Starting point is 00:25:30 But if you have a flagrant and a technical you only Draymond would know that. So the first one was unsportsmanlike. The second one was excessive contact. But it wasn't the criteria to meet a flagrant two. And only Draymond was going to a game
Starting point is 00:25:46 knowing I've got two Mulligans to play with and I'm going to do whatever it takes for my team to win. And that's the type of guy you normally get that up and Chad from the European players. They grab you where they're not supposed to grab you. They elbow you. They do the dirty stuff. But Draymond had just figured
Starting point is 00:26:07 that out from the standpoint of what do I need to do to be on the floor? There was nothing sexy about it. Draymond was a center in college. When he came into the league, we had seven footers. Draymond got the worst name you can get from a draft report. A tweener. You remember
Starting point is 00:26:23 that name? A tweener. A tweener is a good name now because it said... You a tweener you remember that name yeah tweener tweener is a good name now because i was a tweener you're a tweener yeah they said i was too big i was too big to play wide receiver i was too small to play a tight end no position so draymond with this even between so that's a good thing now but we he won seven feet and he couldn't handle the ball per se well enough or shoot the ball to play on the wing. So he made a name for himself. You know what I'm saying? He made a name for himself, and he's done enough,
Starting point is 00:26:50 and it's unbelievable, honestly. Yeah, I was too big and too slow to play wide receiver, Ocho, but I was too small to play tight end. I did okay. I did put him at age back. You won a 6'2"? Huh? You won a 6'2"?
Starting point is 00:27:02 6'2", yeah. I played at like 228. Y'all football numbers be lying. Chad all about 5'11". I'm legit 6'2". Man, I'm 6'3", man. What you talking about? You ain't seen me in a while.
Starting point is 00:27:20 Chad, you get on the court with me again, I'm putting them elbows in your face. Let me say that, man. I went nice to you last time. Don't put it, Ryan. Hey, listen. Everybody that has played in the NBA, including current players right now,
Starting point is 00:27:33 everybody has tried to play me, and everybody has lost. Now, if you want me to add you to the hit list, I can add you to the hit list. He got Joe. Let me say something. We were on the set at ESPN, and he talked pretty easy to me. And I'm. Let me say something. We were on the set at ESPN
Starting point is 00:27:46 and he talked pretty easy to me. And I'm like, man, whatever we in the set. Next thing I know, they done cleared the desk out. And me and him
Starting point is 00:27:53 playing one-on-one. I turn it around. Chad just tackled me, bro. We came playing football players. He grabbed my arm and do... Chad,
Starting point is 00:28:02 next time don't give me your elbow so you ain't got no chance to talk. And then he don't talk. Next one couldn't beat me. LeBron couldn't beat us. And Shaq.
Starting point is 00:28:11 Hey, Shaq, come on. All of them. Nobody. None of them. None of them. He and Joe got a bad two. He said he want Joe one-on-one. Unbelievable.
Starting point is 00:28:20 Yeah? Unbelievable. I'm playing football rules. I'm playing. That's fine. I'm playing football rules for you next time... That's fine. I'm playing football rules for you next time. I've been in the gym.
Starting point is 00:28:28 Whatever you want to do. Elbow, elbows, you know, whatever. It don't matter. I'm good. Jalen Green takes blame for the Rockets' playoff loss to the Warriors.
Starting point is 00:28:37 Green said he played like ish in the playoffs. Beside that one game, ish, straight ish. I got to be better. Lowest field goal percentage. This playoffs minimum 75 field goal attempts. Jalen green,
Starting point is 00:28:50 37.2 Malik Beasley, 37.3. Shea Gilgis, Alexander 41.5. Jason Tatum, 41.7. He did with the exception of game two. When he had 38,
Starting point is 00:29:04 he was awful. And he probably going to be the exception of game 2 when he had 38 he was awful and he probably gonna be the part of that package that get KD into Houston and you know I love you asking me this right now you know I love you
Starting point is 00:29:16 asking me this right now you know I love you asking me this right now just do the Anthony Edwards man a dog no question man a dog now J Just do the Anthony Edwards. Man of dog. No question. Man of dog. Now, Jalen is behind
Starting point is 00:29:29 Anthony Edwards, but he's comparable as far as a two guard. And hopefully you can see the progression be there. Golden State is really good defensively. Now, make no mistake.
Starting point is 00:29:38 Jalen Green's got to get got to get stronger. He just saw what the playoffs look like. He's got to learn how to move without the ball in his hands. And these are things we got the greatest coaching staff in the NBA with E-Mayu Duncan, those
Starting point is 00:29:53 boys. So there's going to be no question that he's going to have a long summer. And Jalen Green takes the personal. The boy don't forget. So he's going to be in the lab working on the things. He got his first, guys, it's his first taste of playoff basketball. Let's not overreact at the end of the day. How old is James? 21? 22? 22, bro. 22
Starting point is 00:30:09 at most. 22 at most. And he played his grown man. It was the worst matchup because they weren't more talented with all due respect to Golden State, but they were smart and they were experienced. They got physical with him. They forced him to his left hand and they pressed him, okay? You saw what they got physical with him. They forced him to his left hand. And they pressed him.
Starting point is 00:30:26 Okay. You saw what they did with Anthony Edwards. But you know what it is? I think the thing is for Jalen is that, like you said, it was a terrible matchup. And he has to understand to whom much is given, much is required. Yeah, 100%. I think the thing is that he has to understand that's unacceptable.
Starting point is 00:30:47 That's unacceptable. Because if you want to be at that level, you got to be at that level. And I agree with you. I do believe he'll put that time in because you see the way, I mean, the jump that he made from one year to two year, two year to three year,
Starting point is 00:31:02 he's only going to improve. But that was a... If he plays like he plays in the regular season, two year to three year. He's only going to improve. Right. But that was a... If he plays like he plays in the regular season, y'all win that. You know y'all win that series, right? 100%. And you know what?
Starting point is 00:31:14 You know what? It's still sore right now. It was only Sunday. Our guys fought hard, and I didn't think they put their best foot forward. I thought we were much better. Even if we lost,
Starting point is 00:31:25 I didn't think we put our best foot forward. I thought we were much better. Even if we lost, I didn't think we put our best foot forward over here in Houston. But I wanted to sing. When you have that series that stings, you don't forget it. You go into an offseason
Starting point is 00:31:36 and you go to get better. And also, I don't know how y'all feel about this. For him, he's so athletic. Some guys got to dance to get there. Like, Brunson's small and he's, with all due respect, he's so athletic. Some guys got to dance to get there. Like, Brunson's small, and he's
Starting point is 00:31:47 not a great athlete. So he got to dance and shoulder fit. Jalen can dribble to his five and pull up, and there's nothing you're going to be able to do. And when he simplifies his game from the two-pointer, from the three, even
Starting point is 00:32:02 going to the hole, maybe it's not a dunk, it's a float, and he simplifies his game, that's going to be the difference. So you go, ain't no way Buddy Hill can guard me. It ain't no way Gary Payton is second because I'm going to get to a spot and I'm going to shoot right over him. That's Kobe, that was Jordan.
Starting point is 00:32:19 That's where Jalen Green takes the next step. Right. I like Jalen. And let me say this too real quick. And you guys know players like this, young guys like this in situations. What he has doesn't grow on trees. The way the boy moves and jumps and runs
Starting point is 00:32:36 and he got the it factor where when he gets hot, the boy's red hot. Oh yeah, he's streaky as hell. Yeah. But it don't grow on trees. When you have a guy who's that athletic, you're going to get
Starting point is 00:32:49 more opportunities. Right. You're going to see the value being there within him. And keep in mind, he did absolutely make strides, but the playoff's a whole different beast.
Starting point is 00:32:59 But if you get a chance to get Kevin Durant, you package him? I think the best thing with Houston right now, and this is above my pay grade, first off, as we said, you have options where you can go in and you can say, guys, we've got a whole foot
Starting point is 00:33:13 with what we have. We have enough to where let's challenge and let everybody get a year older while we're still young in our 20s. We just played a bunch of 30-somethings and we're 20-something. So I'd say they're not going to be there for that long.
Starting point is 00:33:29 Can y'all be OKC in a seven-game series? Because they're younger than you guys. OKC will be an excellent matchup. Did you see this year? Put them ass feet and paws on OKC. They play a different job about them. You said playoffs are different now. They're just as young as we are. You saw they don't
Starting point is 00:33:45 have the experience. It would have been a game. Even Minnesota would have been better for Houston because you try to out-athletic us. You're not going to out-athletic Houston that you might out-think, you might out-experience, you might go to antics like Gregmon did. But hopefully for
Starting point is 00:34:01 athletes, you got a man Thompson going a million miles per hour with Ant-Man sticking right where I'm like, he's different. He's different. But, in terms of Houston, you can hold Pat. Or, if you go to get a guy,
Starting point is 00:34:18 it's got to be the right piece. So, you have options in which you can play with. And for an organization, Rafael Stone done an unbelievable job because you don't want... Milwaukee's pressed. When they get down there pressed, they don't have moves they can make. Phoenix is pressed
Starting point is 00:34:33 right now. The only thing... They don't want to get rid of KD. You have to get rid of KD. Or if you get rid of Booker, you need the house to come back. Booker's not going anywhere. You could have everything else. You're not getting Book. But you know, no, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:34:48 Book has a price. It's just the whole house. I need full draft picks. I need this guy, this guy, this guy. So very likely, Book is not going anywhere. But the reason I say that is
Starting point is 00:34:58 the other organizations are pressed. Houston can sit back and chill. They don't have to make a move. They don't have to get Durant. They don't have to get the rank. They don't have to go after Giannis. You know what I'm saying? The asking price, they talk about Giannis on the block. It's going to be a high one.
Starting point is 00:35:11 You know what I'm saying? You don't need to do that. You don't want to come to y'all. Giannis is reportedly have a short list. I would bet Giannis wants to play in Los Angeles, New York, or Miami if he lives in Milwaukee. I told you. Now, the Los Angeles is not the Lakers.
Starting point is 00:35:29 He's not going to play with LeBron and Luka. So that means the Clippers. Do the Clippers have – I don't know if the Clippers have anything to give up. What can they give up to get him? Do the Clippers have any first-round draft picks? No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. It might not be draft picks. Zubac just had an unbelievable year.
Starting point is 00:35:45 He might be on the table. Norman Powell should have been an all-star. If LeBron hadn't pulled up lame, I think Norman would have been an all-star if he had reported that he wasn't going to play in that game before. They got pieces. Yeah, yeah. So maybe it's not in.
Starting point is 00:36:01 Hold on. You want me to give you a guy that's won two regular season MVPs, a finals MVP. He's about to be a first team All-NBA for about the seventh or eighth straight year. And you're talking about you got Norman Powell and Zubat?
Starting point is 00:36:17 No, you need some picks in there. You need some picks. They ain't got no picks. They got action. I already told you. They ain't got no picks. I mean, you're going to probably have to get like four or five teams involved, but you ain't got no picks. They got action. I already told you. They ain't got no picks. I mean, you're going to probably have to get like four or five teams involved, but you ain't got no picks.
Starting point is 00:36:28 Or let's say it's Harden, per se. I mean, it's Harden. Who's going to be your point guard? You figure it out. You got Giannis. You're going to figure it out. When they got Giannis in Milwaukee, they can't figure it out. You see what happened when you started giving up them pieces?
Starting point is 00:36:42 When you gave up two holiday? Think about the pieces. Look at Phoenix. The team that Phoenix went to the NBA Finals with, they broke that team up. And Chris Paul was old. Chris Paul was old now. You do something.
Starting point is 00:37:00 I like y'all hypotheticals. He still can do it. He can give seven, eight assists a game. That's all we need from Chris Paul. I understand the Clippers. I agree with you. It may possibly have to be a 3-14 deal if it is the Clippers. So it wouldn't just be straight up.
Starting point is 00:37:13 A lot of times those teams come with a lot. Because think about what you gave up to get. What you gave up to get. What you had to give up to get Paul George. What you had to give up to get Jay. I think was Jay Harden traded or he went there? I think they traded Jay Harden. I almost want to say he was traded. I think, was James Harden traded or he went there? I think they,
Starting point is 00:37:26 didn't they trade James Harden? I almost want to say he was traded. I almost want to say he was traded. I think he was traded to the Clippers. Yeah, I almost want to say
Starting point is 00:37:32 he was traded. I'm not 100%. Shout out big dog Eddie Curry, man. Eddie Curry saying we're doing a great job, man. Eddie the monster. Eddie,
Starting point is 00:37:41 get on the bat, man. Chad, you play soccer, I play batting. You play what? By the way. man Chad you play soccer I play Madden You play what? I play Madden I'm cold No you ain't
Starting point is 00:37:49 Nah you ain't cold What you got your AC on? You probably cold Cause you got the AC on You ain't cold In the game Chad FIFA is your game
Starting point is 00:37:57 You do realize You do realize I'm a part of Madden I'm a part of I'm a part of production Making the game Being made Developing
Starting point is 00:38:04 All that Chad you know I did Chad do you know I did The Madden broadcast this year? I'm a part of production, making the game, being made, developing, all that. Chad, do you know I did the Madden broadcast this year? I'm really... Because you did the broadcast. Hold on. If you want to say compared, I'm a G League player. You're not beating a G League. I could beat the average Joe.
Starting point is 00:38:19 I'm a professional player. I'm a streamer. You're great in FIFA. Play me. Let's make a bet.. You're great in FIFA. Unbelievable. Play me. Play me. Play me. Matter of fact, let's make a bet. Let's make a bet in Madden. Come on. Let's play for 5,200. Come on, Chad. 5,200 push-ups.
Starting point is 00:38:42 Come on. No, not push-ups. 5,200. Come on, Chad. I'm going to beat push up. Come on. No, not push up. Teach you how to. Come on, Chad. I'm going to beat you. All right. Thank you. Easy money. All right.

Jason Pierre-Paul had his luxury Richard Mille watch stolen
Starting point is 00:41:29 while attending F1 Formula One weekend party in Hollywood, Florida. JPP said he felt something fall off when a group of men boxed him while he tried to move through the packed club. Moments later, when a friend asked what time was it, he realized his 400 grand Richard Mille was gone. I'm both boys. JPP about 6'5", just 6'5", 270, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:58 It was easy to come up, because you know you're missing a couple of appendages, so they slid. Stop. Stop, dog. I wasn't going to. Stop. I wasnid it up. Stop. Stop, dog. I wasn't going to. Stop. I wasn't going to.
Starting point is 00:42:06 Stop. Stop. But you know what? But you know what? Oh, Chuck. But no, but you know what? But you know what, Ryan, in all seriousness,
Starting point is 00:42:23 that's a strap. That's a strap on watch. So it's easy to get off as opposed to, you know, one like but you know what? But you know what, Ryan, in all seriousness, that's a strap on watch. So it's easy to get off as opposed to, you know, one like, you know, you know what I'm saying, don't you? It depends on what you have. My RM6702 is the Velcro. Oh, that's easy to get off. Yeah, it's easy to get off.
Starting point is 00:42:40 Somebody touch you, and especially, but you would feel something like that coming off, though. He said he felt like something dropped off. Somebody touch you, and especially, but you would feel something like that coming off, though. He said he felt like something dropped off. So how could you not look? Oh, he felt something, okay, he's, okay. I know they ain't
Starting point is 00:42:52 taking off him. We know they, that's the big man right there. I know they ain't taking off him. So that's what they did, Ocho. Hey, Ocho, Ocho,
Starting point is 00:42:59 you know how you get, hey, you try to, excuse me, excuse me, excuse me, and them jokers done, got out of the box. Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah. You know, you remember the movie, what's the try to, excuse me, excuse me, excuse me, and them jokers done, got out of the box. Nah, nah,
Starting point is 00:43:06 nah, nah. You know, you remember the movie, what's the movie with, with Margaret, Margaret Robey and Will Smith, where they were stealing stuff? Margaret Robey.
Starting point is 00:43:12 Margaret Robey. What was the movie? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Where they were stealing, they were stealing stuff?
Starting point is 00:43:17 Focus. Yeah, focus. That, that's, that sound like something out of a movie. Hey, they touching right here,
Starting point is 00:43:22 and they stealing something from over there. you, you can, you can feel somebody taking something off your wrist. Oh, Joe. Man, hey, you go to some of them foreign countries, oh, but Joe, and them jokers have that cardboard, they become the eggs and you're the...
Starting point is 00:43:32 Oh, hey, back up. Now, what do you do that is stolen? Insurance. Talk it up? Yeah, insurance. That's all you can do. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. He got that good insurance. He got that good insurance. I hope. I hope he got insurance. Yeah. Yeah, he. That's all you can do. Yeah. He got that good insurance. I hope he got insurance. Yeah, he got to.
Starting point is 00:43:50 He got to. That's one of my favorite. But you know what? I don't care. Man, look. I've had stuff stolen. It ain't the same. It ain't. Even when you get your money back?
Starting point is 00:44:05 No, because here's the thing. For me, those watches, each watch that I bought, it symbolized something because I was at a place where I had to take two, three years in order to get it. Get it, yeah. Now, I can just go get it. It don't have the same meaning. You know what I'm saying, Ocho? When you save up and get that first Rolex, or you save up and you get your first Patek,
Starting point is 00:44:28 it is different. Right. And now, you know, you just go get it. I mean, watches, I mean, I like watches, but it doesn't have the same meaning I had 30 years ago when it was like, man, I saw that. And I got like, okay, in two years, I'm going to save me enough money,
Starting point is 00:44:43 do an autograph, do an appearance here, do an autograph signing there, Ojo. I'm going to get that. I'm going to get that Day-Date, blackface, diamond bezel. I'm going to get that. Now, I mean, you're just going to get a watch. I mean, because, you know, you make good money. It ain't the same to me. I mean, somebody like, hey, Patek, AP, Bacheron, you know, F.P. Jorn.
Starting point is 00:45:08 No. Marlon Humphrey had a wild take this week. He tweeted, breakfast food is so weak. I've been skipping it and waiting until what restaurants open earliest for lunch. Nah, I'm a breakfast guy. Yeah, I'm a breakfast guy, too. He tripping. Every morning, I got three places.
Starting point is 00:45:26 Either I'm going to McDonald's to get my usual, I'm going to IHOP to get my two for two, or I go to First Watch. Oh, I got another one. I got another one too, Uncle. If you ever come down here, Miami, you too, Ryan. Y'all got to try Just Spoons.
Starting point is 00:45:42 Just Spoons. Answer your phone when I hit you, Chad. Don't tell me you hit you. I got a new number. I got a new number. No, you don't. Answer your phone when I hit you, Chad. I got you.
Starting point is 00:45:53 I do have a new number. Hey, Chad. What's up, man? What you need? Oh, okay. Okay. Nah, I got you. I love breakfast, though.
Starting point is 00:46:01 All right, Chad. I love grits, eggs, bacon crispy. If it's going to be sausage, it's going to be sausage patties. Pancakes, I take pancakes over French toast. It'd be pancakes first, French toast second, a waffle third. I'm not a big waffle guy because they get soggy too quick. I mean, I can do eggs Benedict, but it's not a must-have. But scrambled eggs, grits, bacon, a sausage, I'm in.
Starting point is 00:46:40 Yeah, they're going to like me. I'm just fasting for breakfast. Hold on. I just thought about it. What? You been to Grist Cafe yet? Where is that at? Man, right where you at?
Starting point is 00:46:51 What you talk about? I'm going to have to go to it then. Grist Cafe, you heard of that? I guarantee you, let me take my glasses off so you know I ain't bullshitting. I guarantee you love Grist Cafe. I bet you that. Everything you just named they got
Starting point is 00:47:06 I mean I used to I used to go like like during the week in Atlanta the Ritz Carlton used to have breakfast buffet yeah
Starting point is 00:47:15 for them grits hold on I started I started hot I got one time to just make breakfast say look here bro I just need you to break breakfast
Starting point is 00:47:22 like four days a week Grits Cafe is us, though. It's us. You get what I'm trying to say? I'm going to check it out. What you saying, Chad? I'm going to check it out. I'm trying to say,
Starting point is 00:47:32 what you saying, Chad? Hey, I'm trying to say it's us. Like, it's... What's up? If they cooking grist, I'm pretty sure it is us. Okay, okay, yeah. There you go, there you go.
Starting point is 00:47:41 There you go. Yeah. Because everybody can't cook grits now, Ocho. Oh, no. Absolutely not. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Hey, they give you these croissants to go with before the breakfast come? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:57 Hold on. Is this in L.A.? Nah. Nah. I will tell y'all a fair. We don't want everybody inundating it alright alright Ocho
Starting point is 00:48:10 we had the hundred we had the hundred men versus the gorilla now they got another one a hundred Americans versus a hundred British people who's winning check out this video
Starting point is 00:48:26 I bet it's going to beat hell out of y'all who? Check out this video. I think the Americans are going to beat the hell out of y'all. Who? I think the Americans are going to win. I mean, you know what? It's going to be Roddy because you know a lot of them
Starting point is 00:48:36 from Birmingham and where he named, Ireland, they're soccer fans, man. They be on one of those. They don't play. They die about soccer. They are willing to die.
Starting point is 00:48:47 Anybody that's willing to die about a sport, they don't play. We are in a beat-up, Ocho. How you think we became America? Ta-da! I mean, damn! That's a good one. So we good. Hey, bro, we good.
Starting point is 00:49:09 We already one up. That's a good one. All right, guys, it's time for our last segment of the evening. It is time for Q&A. All right, Sheldon Pope wants to know, Ryan, who's a bigger figure in Boston? Paul Pierce or Tom Brady? Who asked that? Sheldon Pope.
Starting point is 00:49:38 That's a good question, though. I love Paul Pierce. What Paul did for Boston, you can question. But Thomas Edward Brady? Tom Brady is the goat of all goats. So even beyond Boston, his name is unquestionable. But Paul got his stripes, man.
Starting point is 00:49:59 You know what I'm saying? I need people to put respect on Paul's name now, man. Don't you think, Paul? Don't you think he comes behind, let's see, Larry Bird? Don't you think he comes behind Bobby Orr? Don't you think he comes behind Ted Williams? Don't you think he comes behind Bill Russell?
Starting point is 00:50:18 That's just four. 100%. Tom Brady, Tom Brady. Let me ask you a hair thing. If we do a Mount Rushmore because this is I think this is the way
Starting point is 00:50:27 you have to do it when you do if you do a Mount Rushmore who's going on Boston's Mount Rushmore Larry Bird
Starting point is 00:50:34 Red Auerbach Brady and shoot if you want to go coach you go Billisette this is what he's done
Starting point is 00:50:45 Big Bill right if we put names I'm not familiar with baseball maybe there's another name in there or boxing there you go Ted Williams so I mean there you go I mean are we sure
Starting point is 00:50:58 of all generation Paul takes the basketball but we can't compare with those other sports I don't believe because are we sure Paul is going to be in front of Big Papi?
Starting point is 00:51:11 You know they love Big Papi and Boston. That's a good one. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's a tough one. I love Paul. Shout out to you, former teammate. I'm going to put him on there. He's my teammate. I play with Paul. Black Lake 71. Hey, Uncle Nocho, I want to bet. Former teammate. I'm going to put him on there. He's my teammate. I'll play with Paul. See you, my guy. Black Lake 71.
Starting point is 00:51:30 Hey, Uncle Nocho, I want to bet y'all 5,200 that Boston make them threes in game two. Well, I hope they don't have back-to-back games where they miss 45 threes. But I don't know if they should take 60 threes. They won't. They won't. They won't have another game like that. Aaron Owen said the Cavs got me ready to crash out. They won't. They won't. They won't have another game like that. Aaron Owens said the Cavs got me ready to crash out. I'm sick. Bro, this thing.
Starting point is 00:51:50 It's hard for me to see a scenario. It's hard for me to see a scenario in which they win this series. I don't know what you're thinking. But I said it from the beginning because Indiana, their clutch, they're underrated. Miles Turner is a headache
Starting point is 00:52:05 because he can pop and shoot threes and he can dive and block shots. And then they injured. It's a mental thing right now with Cleveland. And when they get back to Indiana, they're going to be going crazy. And it's not like this is a team
Starting point is 00:52:21 with the Cavaliers that we're looking at. We know who Golden State was going to be in game seven. You know who Denver was going to be. You still
Starting point is 00:52:35 figuring out who the Cavs are. They're very talented. Unbelievable year, but the challenge is they got to know who they're going to be showing up, and we don't have that confidence yet. Devin Jett said, Cavs about to fold like Ryan Hollins and Madden. Miss Patrice said, Aunt, this, aunt, that.
Starting point is 00:52:58 They got that whoop on with no Steph in the second half. Hell, they have Steph from midway through the second quarter on. The six-foot Aquarius. Hey, before Sabonis, we had Bill Walton. True. Bill Walton was a great passing big man. Knees with, yeah, knee and feet problems. Normally, that's what happens with big guys.
Starting point is 00:53:20 Feet. Too injured. Yeah. Feet. Too injured. Yeah. Josh, R98, 45 threes. Ashley needs Chaz, don't sneeze. Warriors are fine. That concludes this episode of Nightcap. Thank you guys for tuning in.
Starting point is 00:53:44 As we saw the Golden State Warriors go on the road and win game one. First time in NBA history, all four road teams won game one. And to make it matters worse, Indy went up on the road and won both games. In dramatic fashion tonight, Tyrese Halliburton, game-winning three with 1.1 second. After being down by seven with 50 seconds left in the ballgame. They come all the way back, was down by as many as 20 points at one point in time, come all the way back to take a 2-0 lead, heading to ending. They can close out the series and don't
