Starting point is 00:01:07 Speaking of Steph Curry, Steph Curry will miss at least one week after being diagnosed with a grade one left hamstring. Curry went under with an MIR today, and he'll say he'll be re-evaluated in one week. The Warrior said this is the first muscle strain injury of his career. Curry said, I think you literally just take it game at a time and we can't. I know there's a three day break between games five and six and everyone's saying maybe those three days perhaps Steph returns then. We can't
Starting point is 00:01:32 afford to think about that. I mean, Steph will be back when he's back. We just focus on tomorrow's game and then we go from there. That's the thing, man. As you get older, I never had a hamstring injury until, man, my first year I was going to Baltimore.
Starting point is 00:01:49 Got a little heavy in the offseason. Got me a little money, Joe. You know what I'm saying? I'm in Houston. I beat that cheese toast. Back then, you remember they had the chicken tender with the honey mustard, Joe? So you know your boy. I got a little money, Ocho.
Starting point is 00:02:02 I don't know what that's like every day. I get that spinach dip. Hey day. I get that spinach dip. Hey, let me get that spinach dip. That cheese toast. Yeah, let me get that. I get that Biltmore. Joe, you remember that Biltmore, that chicken salad with the cheese on it? Or I get them chicken tittles with that honey mustard.
Starting point is 00:02:17 So, you know, Joe, Ocho, I don't kind of let myself go a little bit. Ocho, you know, my playing weight, my playing weight, 228. Right. I stepped on the scale. I looked down, I'm 266. God damn. Oh, yeah, yeah. You see, that's what I said, too.
Starting point is 00:02:35 You were two what? 266. Jesus Christ. Hey, look. Hey, you were fluffy, boy. Hey, boy. You was a little belt. I know, because I got to 262 one time.
Starting point is 00:02:47 That's when I first got to Utah. You know, it was a little culture shock for me coming from Miami. And I was coming off the bench, and I wasn't playing that much, but I was playing. And I just let it go, bro. Look, I got on the scale that thing and said 262. I went into immediate starvation. I said, hold on.
Starting point is 00:03:05 I got to get this weight up off me. I can't. Man, you can't play like that. All right, man. Ocho, but you don't see. Ocho, I'm talking about strong with the house, Ocho. Ocho, I take that 405. I hit that thing like six, seven times.
Starting point is 00:03:19 I'm taking them 160, 170 pound dumbbells. I'm playing with them, Ocho. Yeah, yeah, Ocho. I'm playing with them. Oh, yeah. I messed around out there, tried to run, tried-pound dumbbell. I'm playing with them, Ocho. Yeah, yeah, Ocho. I'm playing with them. Oh, yeah. I messed around out there, tried to run, tried to do them. Ah! That thing grabbed.
Starting point is 00:03:34 Oh, yeah, that thing grabbed, Ocho. Yeah. Hey, look. I strain mine. I strain mine playing flag football. That's right. I strain mine playing flag football. Look, 2005, I can't make this up. Playing flag football. I straight up mind playing flag football.
Starting point is 00:03:47 Look, 2005, I can't make this up. I had just signed with the Hawks. So, this is my first year here. So, that summer before I even played my first game, you know, I'm back home in Little Rock and me and a few of the guys, we playing flag football every Sunday. Man, it's one particular Sunday. I'm feeling good. I'm thinking I'm out there
Starting point is 00:04:05 trying to mouse cast it. I didn't know somebody shot me, man. I took off running and I feel it. I hit the dirt so fast. Hey, hey, listen.
Starting point is 00:04:15 It was three weeks before camp was about to start. Man, I came into camp hurting, limping and everything. My first year here, yeah, it was tough. So,
Starting point is 00:04:23 when you have a hamstring strain, that's what I know about them. Yeah. But see, remember I told you, but I kind of tweeted, so it was, I was good to go
Starting point is 00:04:32 by the time I got, by the time I got to be more. So, Ocho, we had that conditioning test that's on the treadmill.
Starting point is 00:04:40 Right. So, every minute, they bump it up, bump it up a notch. So, eventually, you will probably get up to about 15 miles an hour. We to run for a minute so we don't go every minute so you
Starting point is 00:04:49 go start up with six and you go a minute you go seven eight nine ten eleven twelve man hey man i got hey i got the self i could because i started six i got the seven you felt it started like like grabbing us oh no yeah yeah i hopped up on that thing i like... Like grabbing? Oh, no. Oh, yeah, yeah. I hopped up on that thing. I said, oh, no, no, Friday. I'm done with this. He said, you're going to have to go talk to Brian. I said, I would have said... Brian Billy with the head car.
Starting point is 00:05:13 I said, Brian. No, I said, bro, I'm done with that. I said, man, that thing hurt my hamstring. And listen, hey, the thing... Listen, the funny... He said, hey, he said, as long as you're ready, as long as you're ready for the season,
Starting point is 00:05:24 we good to go. But, Ocho, that was, hold on, that camp was like in May. I was 266. I came back for training camp in July. I was 232. You got it all down, huh? Yeah, just straight up to fly right. Hey, like a Trump tax return.
Starting point is 00:05:46 I was straight. Yeah. Hey, the funny thing also about Steph, about Steph injury chat, for those that are listening, is the fact that it's grade one and he was able to catch it and not strain it that much.
Starting point is 00:05:59 For me, I had a little, just a little twit, you know, pull in practice. And I caught it real quick. After that, I still ain't missed no game. All I did was dry needling, right? You know the dry needling? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:12 I did the cupping, and they had some type of laser. I can't remember what the laser was. Yeah, I know that red dot. Yeah. I chilled. I did it on Wednesday's practice. I chilled Thursday. I chilled Friday. I did it on Wednesday's practice. I chilled Thursday. I chilled Friday.
Starting point is 00:06:26 I did a Saturday walkthrough. And then the game Sunday, I just wrapped it up. Obviously, I did a treatment each day. I just wrapped it up Sunday. It was out there. It was out there, able to go full speed. And I'm sure the same thing will probably happen with Steph. That's why I said he'd be here, miss one week.
Starting point is 00:06:41 And the following game, he'll probably play. I'm ham-shing. I tweaked my groin, too, on the diving board. Hey, wait, how? In training camp, Ocho. Oh, playing around? You know, we get in the pool. We at UNC, University of Northern Colorado.
Starting point is 00:06:58 So that's where our training camp was. That's where our training camp was in Greeley. And so, man, you know, Ocho, I'm on that thing, hit that thing like Luganus. Ocho, Ocho, I hit that thing. I hit that tuck on Ocho. I'm doing everything, Ocho.
Starting point is 00:07:18 I'm like a man from Atlantis. I'm doing everything. I'm doing all that stuff, Ocho. I'm doing the jackknife. I'm twisting. That last one. I was like getting a jungle fever. Remember I gave the kid that thing?
Starting point is 00:07:37 Mama, this last dance for you. Joe, one last time, Joe. And I came with that thing and hit that thing. Boom. Fuck. Hey, I had to make up a good lie. Man, hey, Wade, man, I think I tweaked my groin yesterday at practice. Hey, yo, Joe, I was killing that diving board, man.
Starting point is 00:08:12 I'm talking about the high dive. I'm talking about the 10-meter way up there. Yeah. Hey, them the worst. Whoa. Groin, hamstring. Hey, anything soft tissue, Joe? Anything soft tissue?
Starting point is 00:08:24 Yeah. You got to sit down. You got to sit down down I don't care what you talking about doing them injuries ain't nothing to play with I broke my collarbone man you talking about the worst injury to have you can't get comfortable if you sleep on
Starting point is 00:08:40 you definitely ain't sleeping on the side that you broke man I try to sleep on this side and that pressure I'm like oh lord I try to sleep on this side, and that pressure, I'm like, oh, Lord. I try to lay flat on my back, oh, Lord. Man, I'm sitting up like this here. Man, that thing hurt me so bad. Oh, man. Man, listen.
Starting point is 00:08:59 When I was in Phoenix, my last year in Phoenix playing with Nash, and I broke my orbital bone. I did that too, Joe. Broke my orbital bone in the playoffs. Went up for a dunk, and Shaq House tried to block it, but he kind of bodied me a little bit. So when I grabbed the rim, I tried to hang on it, and I slipped off and came down and hit my face first on the floor.
Starting point is 00:09:20 Look, this bone right here, it was sticking out of my skin, but it was sticking like this. Like, I could touch it. I could tell it was something. You know what I mean? Yeah. Okay, Ocho, look, they telling me I'm disoriented and everything. They're like, man, you got to shoot the two free throws.
Starting point is 00:09:34 If you don't shoot the two free throws, then you can't come back in the game. Damn the free throws. I'm saying, man, listen, do you see my eye, bro? Like, I can't even, like, there's something coming out of here. Like, listen, long story short, I still shot a two free throw. I made one miss one that I went to the back. And I remember when I got in the back, they asked me all these questions, like my birthday, where I'm from.
Starting point is 00:09:55 I couldn't tell them people nothing. I couldn't tell. I went to surgery the next morning. I did the same thing. I was playing. I was playing. I was blocking down on a combo block. It was 16 power. I'll never forget. And Mark's the ref. I was playing. I was playing. I was blocking down on a combo block. It was 16 power.
Starting point is 00:10:07 I'll never forget. And Mark's the ref. He was pulling. And, you know, as a tight end, Ochoa, I was a wide receiver at first, but I kept my wide receiver face mask at tight end. Yeah. Man, he pulling around there. Hands.
Starting point is 00:10:20 Fingers go right through my face mask. Hit me dead in my eye. Bam. Bop. So I go to the doctor. The doctor knew who I was. He said, son, I'm going to explain it to you like this. It was like you have a complete blowout.
Starting point is 00:10:33 He says, it's like you got into a bar fight and somebody kicked you directly in the eye with a boob. Damn. He said, your wall, because your eye, this is your eye right here. It sits on the floor. The floor, so it's a bone. This was gone. Damn. My eye had dropped like 3.5 millimeters.
Starting point is 00:10:54 So, babe, my eye was, my eye was sitting down. Yeah, yeah. Hey, look, I got 18 screws and three plates in my face still to this day from there. Really? I got a mesh. I can't blow my nose because if I blow an infection, I done had to have the whole plate taken out and put a new one in. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:13 It got infected, and I couldn't get that infection out of there because it had the mesh. It done got in that mesh. Yeah. Yeah. Hey, look. Hey. And when it get cold, I catch them little headaches right there on that bb
Starting point is 00:11:26 yeah man on your back i'll be close hey and have that farce would have gone on so i feel for stephanie thank you joe man like as you get older it just gets hard i mean like when you're young you get an injury man you can bounce back like that as you get older, it just gets hard. I mean, like, when you young, you get an injury, man, you can bounce back like that. As you get older, man, the things take longer and longer to come back from. Yeah. Man, listen, let me tell y'all something. I was just playing in a lifetime league here in Atlanta. You know, I still enjoy playing.
Starting point is 00:12:00 So I played a couple games. And after the second game, man game man listen my ankle swole up because i'm playing 40 minutes i'm playing the whole game so my ankle swole up i'm like all right i'll take a couple days off man it took me a whole month for my ankle to go down from hey look i ain't tweaking i ain't do nothing just regular playing i probably overdid it as far as playing you know playing back-to-back games 40-plus minutes. Man, it took a whole month for me to get
Starting point is 00:12:30 this thing together over here. Yeah, so it is. It's a lot tougher as you age. Hey, same what happened to me, Ocho. I was coaching in the celebrity NBA All-Star game. Yeah. Two years ago in Indy. You know, just standing up, walking, you know, I'm just standing up, walking. I'm like a real coach.
Starting point is 00:12:46 You know, I'm walking up and I'm struggling out of instructions and I'm walking down the bench. Yeah. Man, my knee hurts so bad.
Starting point is 00:12:56 They asked me, did I want to do it again? I said, no, thank you. Absolutely. Absolutely not. Man,
Starting point is 00:13:03 George, George, George said, boss, you okay? He say, you livid. I say, hell no, I ain't okay. Man, by the way, man, oh, oh, Joe. I ain't gonna lie, I walk, I be parking as close as I possibly can. It used to, when I was younger, I parked way away because I walk, get some exercise.
Starting point is 00:13:22 If I could park at the grocery store, I would. Hey, pretty soon I'm going to have me one of them motorized cars. Don't look at me. Don't judge. We talk, but we don't judge here, okay? Just so we know. We're going to keep you moving. Don't worry about that. Oh, God, we're going to keep you moving.
Starting point is 00:13:39 Man, that knee. Hey, it used to be them here. Hey, Joe, before I got them hip surgeries, I knew my hips were bad. Oh, this is how you have to get in the car. I used to get in the car like this. I sit down and then put my legs in. You know, everybody else get in. Oh, and just sit down.
Starting point is 00:13:55 Oh, no. Hey, I sit down there like, you okay? I ain't okay. My hip is killing me. Oh, it was. I'm afraid you don My hip's killing me. Oh, it... I'm afraid you don't have to get those things done, but hey, my homeboy Bucky just had his second knee replaced.
Starting point is 00:14:14 And that word knees are worse than hips. I told y'all, man, y'all gotta come see me, bro. I'm gonna keep y'all right now. You couldn't keep it. My sister ain't played no sport. My sister just got both of hers replaced. Damn. My brother got his hip replaced.
Starting point is 00:14:30 I got both of mine replaced. My brother about to get his knee replaced. Damn. Yeah. I told my mom, I said, you know what? You and daddy, y'all built some athletes, but y'all made a paper mache. You couldn't find somebody with better bone density. Y'all
Starting point is 00:14:46 got us effed up. Oh, man. Oh, man, but yeah. I think the thing is, look, they bought a little time by winning this first game. Now, if you go steal the second game, you're like,
Starting point is 00:15:03 hey, Steph, we'll see you gain five. We'll see you gain six, something like that. Oh, if you go steal the second game, you're like, hey, Steph, we'll see you game five. We'll see you game six, something like that. Oh, yeah, you're getting plenty of rest. If Golden State win game two, you ain't forcing them to come back no time soon. You know, take your time. But I don't see that happening. They ain't getting out of Minnesota tomorrow without one.
Starting point is 00:15:18 They ain't getting out of Minnesota without one. It's going to be one-one. Chris Finch said his team submitted clips to the league office that showed what he believes is an egregious contact made against Rudy Gobert, none of which was called by the officials. On defensive rebounding, they do a lot of filing, shoving, pushing, holding, tackling Rudy. That's clear.
Starting point is 00:15:38 We sent a bunch of those clips to the league. In fact, I'm not sure I know another player in the league with Rudy's pedigree that is allowed to be physically beaten on the way he is. And so we've got to address it one way or another. Minnesota got dominated on the glass 51-41 with Robert grabbing 11 rebounds. A steep drop off from the 21 boards he had in game five against the Lakers. Yeah, they do that to LeBron. They've been beating LeBron.
Starting point is 00:16:02 They beat hell out of Shaq. Yeah. I mean, listen, it's the playoffs. Rudy Gobert is very tall. He's absolutely much bigger than everybody else. So the fouls are going to be a little egregious at times. They got to play him a little aggressive at times.
Starting point is 00:16:18 They have to do that. What is the coach fussing about? They did not expect that man to come out there and get no 23, 24 rebounds. That was a nominee. That's everything with a playoff high for him. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. He's not going to duplicate that back-to-back like that. You know, he might have a game in the series
Starting point is 00:16:40 where he probably could get you 20 boards, but to be able to come out night in and night out and do that, that's a lot, man, bro. Well, if he could, he'd be MVP. Hell, Will's the only man that I know that can average 24 rebounds in a season. Yeah. Boy, you got to be.
Starting point is 00:17:00 He averaged 27 one year. I mean, Will had a 50-25, and they said it was a fluke. So he came back next year and had 44-27. Man, them numbers don't even be sounding real when we be talking about Will. The man averaged 24. All I know is the man averaged 24 rebounds for a career. Where the footage at? Where the footage at?
Starting point is 00:17:19 I want to see. Bro, they had tape delayed in the 80s. You think they got a whole lot of footage of games in the 60s? I mean, man. They got to have something that we can see, man. They got to have something. I wasn't watching ball. I wasn't even around then when Will was playing.
Starting point is 00:17:33 But the numbers that man was putting up don't even sound real. You can't do that in a video game. Quadruple doubles. Think about it. But you know he had to have quadruple doubles because think about it but you know he had to have quadruple doubles because the blocked shot didn't come on official stat until the 80s yeah so think about all the shots
Starting point is 00:17:52 that they blocked he said one and some of these guys 6-4-6-5 so you know we'll have some games he had 20 blocks 20 blocks assists wasn't a stat steals wasn't a stat. Steals wasn't a stat. Think about that.
Starting point is 00:18:11 That's crazy. Like I said, you just might as well just do away. The man got 150 50-point games. You might as well just some of his stats just say, you know what? We just going to start over. To give everybody a fair chance, Joe,
Starting point is 00:18:26 to have, to get some. You're not going to break those records. You're not going to do it. Nah, bro. He's going to forever hold on to them
Starting point is 00:18:32 just like LeBron and these records that he done accumulated over the years. Ain't nobody breaking none of them records, man. Nah. Nah.
Starting point is 00:18:40 I'm Michael Kasson, founder and CEO of 3C Ventures and your guide on Good company, the podcast where I sit down with the boldest innovators shaping what's next. In this episode, I'm joined by Anjali Sood, CEO of Tubi, for a conversation that's anything but ordinary. We dive into the competitive world of streaming, how she's turning so-called niche
Starting point is 00:19:01 into mainstream gold, connecting audiences with stories that truly make them feel seen. What others dismiss as niche, we embrace as core. It's this idea that there are so many stories out there. And if you can find a way to curate and help the right person discover the right content, the term that we always hear from our audience is that they feel seen. Get a front row seat to where media, marketing, technology, entertainment and sports collide and hear how leaders like Anjali are carving out space and shaking things up a bit in the most crowded of markets. Listen to Good Company on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. In the fall of 1986, Ronald Reagan found himself at the center of a massive scandal that looked like it might bring down his presidency. Did you make a mistake in sending arms to Tehran, sir?
Starting point is 00:20:04 No. It became known as the Iran-Contra affair. And I'm not taking any more questions in just a second. I'm going to ask Attorney General... I'm Leon Nafok, co-creator of Slow Burn. In my podcast, Fiasco, Iran-Contra, you'll hear all the unbelievable details of a scandal Thank you. To hear the whole story, listen to Fiasco, Iran Contra on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee, your hands can't hit what your eyes can't see. Muhammad Ali was never afraid to express himself loudly and boldly and stays true to form in Ali and Me, an eight-part Audible original.
Starting point is 00:21:06 Guided by his own words, this series explores Ali's life and legacy through never-before-heard audio recordings and discussions with those who knew him best. Muhammad had this real sense of his own personal values and principles, things he believed in, his own sense of conviction. Those convictions never wavered. Hosted by Muhammad's wife, Lani Ali, and his close friend, award-winning broadcaster, John Ramsey, Ali and Me goes beyond the boxing ring to delve deeply into Ali's extraordinary life through conversations with Billy Crystal, Mike Tyson, Rosie Perez, Common, Will Smith, and Bob Costas. It created a North Star for me of how I want to be in the world, you know. As a child, as a young person, he gave credence to my audacity.
Starting point is 00:21:59 There's no debate that this is the greatest global sports figure of our lifetime. Listen to Ali and Me, now on Audible. Last night, Jimmy Butler was asked about the jeers he got from fans inside Target Center. Remember, Jimmy played with Minnesota 2017 through 2018. He said, the noise doesn't bother me, but he said there's a limit to what fans can say to the players. That doesn't bother me, but people do have to watch their mouth. It's cool to boo and all that stuff,
Starting point is 00:22:32 but calling people out of their names and all stuff which I can hear, the boos, I get it. I understand. Let's just keep it at that. Joe, do sometimes the fans get slick with it? Yeah, man. Go overboard with the boos? Oh, man. The booing, you get the players, do the fans get, you know, slick with it? Yeah, man. Go overboard with the boos? Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:22:47 The booing, you get the booing. But I'm talking about the mama and saying all that other stuff. Yeah, I think as athletes, we can all take the booing, even if you're talking about us to some degree. But when you bring in your family members and you just, you go below the belt, bro, it just, it's only so it's only, it's only so much you can turn a blind eye to and act like you don't see it.
Starting point is 00:23:07 You know what I mean? Until you fade up and now you have to react in a way that, you know, you hope that you don't have to, but sometimes, man, you,
Starting point is 00:23:16 you gotta check the situation. Yeah. All that, all that your mama be and all that stuff, we not finna do that. Yeah, can y'all hear that in football? Y'all can hear all that in football? They're all that stuff. We not finna do that. Yeah, can y'all hear that in football?
Starting point is 00:23:25 Y'all can hear all that in football? They're not that close. Right. They're not that close where we could like, we hear it. Right. Yeah, I like,
Starting point is 00:23:36 Joe, I like the antagonizer fans, especially when they talking trash. But I just talk trash back, but it has never gotten to the point. I think there's still a level of respect that they have, even though they talking, talking shit to me. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:48 And family has never been, ever been mentioned. It's always, you know, it's always me and just, just going back and forth. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:56 Look, you're going to boo. Yeah. I'm not that good. I get it. Right. The mere fact that you're talking to me, let me know that I'm good.
Starting point is 00:24:01 Right. Because if I wasn't good, you wouldn't even be talking to me. Right. So we can, so, so, so we've established, we have established that you're a liar me lets me know that I'm good. Because if I wasn't good, you wouldn't even be talking to me. So we can, so, so, so we've established, we have established that you're a liar because if I wasn't that good, why are you talking to me? Period. Period. You ain't talking to anybody else. You talking to me. I get that. But yeah,
Starting point is 00:24:17 I do think sometimes the fans can go overboard and call people out of their names and all that stuff and everybody look somehow we we've lost the fact that like money makes you not human yeah man if somebody paid me 30 million dollars put my pay me this they can say what up no they can't right everybody got a breaking point yeah yeah every everybody has a breaking point in which they say okay bro that's enough because you're still human at the end of the day. You're human at the end of the day. Yeah. Money don't make you,
Starting point is 00:24:47 it gives you ability, you know, you could throw money at problems. Right. Yeah. It helps you solve some things. You get better medical attention and certain things like that, Ocho.
Starting point is 00:24:58 But you're still human. Yeah. Listen, I mean, everybody's different. The more money, I'm just saying I would make depending on the situation well the less I could hear the more money I make the less I can hear
Starting point is 00:25:15 I can't even hear you from down there what you said if I was like Joe and somebody asked me where my dog at and I said, he on the property. You got to chill. You got to chill.
Starting point is 00:25:28 He got to chill. You got to chill. Hey, his dog not in the yard. His dog on the property. Hey, you got to chill, bro.
Starting point is 00:25:35 Hey, I'm just saying. I'm just, you got to chill. I'm just going to come over there. I just want to go, you know, we can walk to,
Starting point is 00:25:41 we can walk to Chastain Park and hear Earth, Wind and Fire, Ohio. Man, that's two men from Bonhoeff. Come on, man. I know it is. I know exactly, you know, we can walk to Chastain Park and hear Earth, Wind & Fire, Ohio Flames or something. Man, that's two men from about how? Come on, man. I know it is. I know exactly where you stay, Joe.
Starting point is 00:25:50 Yeah. Yeah. We can take the coolers. Hey, take the food. Get going right on up in there. They probably perform over here just about every summer almost. They do. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:01 I've seen them twice. I've seen Hall & Oates about four or five times. NDR, Seal. Oh, man, it be live over here. It do. It do. I mean, I'm a... But I like to come so I can just sit down.
Starting point is 00:26:15 I'll be chilling. You know, some of the people be having wine. I ain't, you know... Hey, let me have my, you know, my ginger ale. You know, sandwiches. You know, hey, I'm good. You don't bring no alcohol with you? you don't have no alcohol in your cooler? Nah.
Starting point is 00:26:28 Nah. You know, the people that I come with, they normally, they like wine. Yeah. But, you know, I'll bring that shade for you. I mean, we get on that shade of ginger ale. I got some friends, you know, they probably going to come on and hang out a little bit all day. Okay, we good then. Hey, look, I got to look at the Chastain way, I got to look at the Chastain series.
Starting point is 00:26:46 I got to look at the Chastain series and see who coming. Yeah, we got to check that out. But while we're talking about Le Portier and the cigars, yes, I do have a company. I have friends. They like to smoke cigars, Ocho. They like to drink. They yack. They better ask about that Le Portier.
Starting point is 00:27:00 Okay, we're just putting them over there. I'm going to give that to you. That's all I'm saying. That's all I'm saying. I'm going to give that to you. Yeah. I got you. I see y'all talking about doing. That's all I'm saying. That's all I'm saying. I'm going to give that to you. Yeah. I got you. I see y'all talking about doing something.
Starting point is 00:27:07 Ain't none of y'all invited me yet. Y'all just, y'all going on and on. You know, I'm just sitting here listening. I'm just waiting on somebody to be like, hey, you know you, Ocho, you want to come? Oh, okay. God damn. Ocho, Ocho, you want to come? No, I don't even want to listen.
Starting point is 00:27:24 I had to say something. I don't even want to. Listen, I had to say something. I don't even want to go no more. Come on, cheer. You don't want to come to get fitted, man. We got plenty of room for you, partner. No, I ain't worried about that. Okay. I didn't want to see.
Starting point is 00:27:31 I just want to see what the property look like. Oh, man. Here this man go. Hey, Joe. We go ahead and get a table. We go ahead and get a table, Ocho. Yeah. We got you.
Starting point is 00:27:41 Don't even split it. Joe, what do you think the worst fans are? What's the fans that get on you the most? The fans? Man, them boys in Philly, bro. Oh, my God. Philly got played. Them fans in Philly don't play, bro.
Starting point is 00:27:55 They be right behind your bench, and they be personal. You don't be just no, oh, you trash. You can't. Bro, they doing their homework in Philly. You hear me? Yeah. Yeah. Talk about everybody. Your relatives they doing their homework in Philly. You hear me? Yeah. Yeah. Talk about everybody,
Starting point is 00:28:06 your relatives, your grandma, and all that. Hey, by name, huh? Yeah. They have a whole sign holding it up
Starting point is 00:28:14 with everything on it. You're going to be able to read it. Yeah. Oakland. Oakland. Oakland had the worst fans.
Starting point is 00:28:21 Oh, yeah. The black hole, huh? Yeah, man. Oh, hey. It was like they let Sam quit not for a day. So you look at y'all
Starting point is 00:28:28 going to the Raiders. Y'all going to the Raiders game. They're both full of cash. Hey. How did you get in here? Ojo, what's the worst fans for you? Ooh, probably that black hole but you know
Starting point is 00:28:48 yeah probably the black hole but I mean the Browns it was a respect it was still respect they be throwing batters and pennies they be doing too much not to win no games yeah yeah they throwing all type of stuff and pennies. They be doing too much not to win no games. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:07 They throwing all type of stuff. Y'all need to keep the batter in charge of your sorry ass team up. Who you talking about? The Raiders? No, the Browns. They the one that be throwing the batters and the pennies and hitting you upside your head. I ain't never had that issue. Remember when I jumped in the dog round?
Starting point is 00:29:22 Yeah, they shoved your ass right back up out of there. Hey, Joe, I jumped in the dog pound. I'll never forget. In pregame warm-up, I went to the dog pound. They have an individual who was somewhat the lead in that area. His name was Big Dog. Big Dog. I asked Big Dog permission.
Starting point is 00:29:45 Hey, if I happen to score on this end of the end zone, can I please jump to you? You know, with no disrespect. He was like, yeah, yeah, go ahead and do it. Man, I happened to score
Starting point is 00:29:53 on that end and I jumped right in his arms and everybody around him, they must not have known what I was doing. Man, they took all their beer and they poured it all on me. Man, I smelled like beer
Starting point is 00:30:04 the rest of the game, man. I'll never forget that. Oh, Joe, the Cowboys made a big splash. Jerry Jones said he had some brewing. He traded for George Pickens. They will send a 2026 third-round pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick to the Steelers for Pickens and a 2027 sixth round pick. The Cowboys had been searching for a legit wide receiver alongside CD.
Starting point is 00:30:30 But is Pickens the answer for Dallas? You got Dan right. He's the answer. Jadon Blue, CD Lamb, George Pickens, and Jake Ferguson, along with Dak Prescott at the quarterback.
Starting point is 00:30:43 Ocho, did the Steelers get enough for Pickens? Yeah. I think they have. I'm not worried about what the Steelers got. I ain't really thinking about them. The fact that you let one of the better players in the NFL go, despite the issues and the problems that he's had.
Starting point is 00:30:59 Forget that. You just made Dallas better. You just made Dallas better. A lot of people in the chat, they might not understand how good George Pickens actually is. He needs this. He needed to change the scenery. Not only did he get to change the scenery, he went to America's team. This is perfect for Dak. This is very, very good for Dak. Because not only is CeeDee Lamb a number one, you got you another number one in there, too. You got you another number one that can hit his head off the goalpost from anywhere.
Starting point is 00:31:24 Slants, hitches, deep balls, whatever it may be. Dak Prescott has to be thanking the football gods for this addition to his offense. It makes him better, especially in NFC East. The Eagles, they got Devontae Smith, they got A.J. Brown. The Commanders, they got Debo Samuel, they got Terry McLaurin. The Giants, well, the Giants only have Malik neighbors. I'm not sure. The quarterback situation is still questionable. They have Jameis. They have Russell Wilson. But the Dallas Cowboys should make some noise this year despite their defensive roles that have been issues
Starting point is 00:31:53 for them, especially stopping the run. They should score 35-40 a game. They should score 35-40 a game. It shouldn't be no issues. I don't care nothing about your running game. To me, I'm not saying it's equivalent to getting Saquon Barkley. I'm just saying the addition of George Pickens will make them offensively that much better, especially if whoever the offensive coordinator is.
Starting point is 00:32:18 I can't remember his name. Brian Schottenheimer. Oh, Schottenheimer there? Yeah. He's the head coach coach so he's the coordinator hey man they gonna be straight man they gonna be straight
Starting point is 00:32:29 now don't be surprised now I'm gonna say it here first and there's no disrespect to my Eagles Eagles you know I love you all my Eagles fans you know I love you no disrespect to the commanders either
Starting point is 00:32:36 I love y'all but don't be shocked if the goddamn Cowboys win the NFC East yeah I'm gonna be shocked simply because of that one addition I'm telling you
Starting point is 00:32:44 I'm gonna be shocked I'm telling you it makes a quarterback to be shocked. I'm telling you. It makes a quarterback job easy when you have that kind of talent around you. I've been telling Ocho this since we had Nightcap. I said, it's called production and tolerance. And as long as production
Starting point is 00:32:58 is here, tolerance will be here. Tolerance will never supersede production. I told Ocho then. I said, Ocho, I'm telling you. I said, their team will tolerate you until they can replace you. Yeah. Remember we had that talk, right?
Starting point is 00:33:12 Remember I told you I'll talk with Pick? Yeah. Remember after I told you I'll talk to him? Have you noticed you haven't had any issues from Pickens after that point? I think it was on the Kansas City game, Christmas. Yeah. The Kansas City game, Christmas. Yeah. Kansas City game. What happened? Remember he didn't run?
Starting point is 00:33:30 They read cover two, and the safety was over the split, and he didn't run. That's how he picked up the tight end. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But again, he needed to change his scenery. I agree. This is a good thing for him. He's an immense talent. His name needs to be in the conversation of the top 10 receivers
Starting point is 00:33:49 when it comes to not only production, because he has the talent to do it, all Schottenheimer has to do is use him the right way to his strengths. He's going to be tremendous for the Cowboys. Hey, look, I'm just trying to figure out what it is that's going on in Pittsburgh that all these receivers keep getting up out of there. I don't know. But, Uncle Ocho, I got a trying to figure out what it is that's going on in Pittsburgh that all these receivers keep getting up out of there. I don't know. But, Uncle Ocho, I got a confession. What's that?
Starting point is 00:34:10 Man, I've been a longtime Cowboy fan, man. You know, Jerry Jones. You from Arkansas. Yeah, I know. You ain't got no choice. Jerry Jones alumni, listen. Yeah. I'm happy for us as Cowboys fans.
Starting point is 00:34:20 And I'm looking forward to us having a pretty solid season, man. That's all I'm saying. I know I had to get to know y'all before I told y'all that because I know how y'all be. But you know what? I figured as much. Being from Arkansas and how Arkansas is close to Dallas, I didn't think – me, I wasn't going to say anything.
Starting point is 00:34:38 I was like, you'll probably – Because a lot of people that I know from Arkansas, they do root for the Cowboys. Yeah, yeah, yeah. They root for the Cowboys. So I'm not surprised by this. But I agree with you, Ocho. I do think this significantly helps their offense.
Starting point is 00:34:58 Now, the question is, who the hell are they going to have blocking for that? The whole line? They got a little makeshift whole line right now, huh? Yeah, they do. Yeah? I think they going to be all right, though. They going to be all right.
Starting point is 00:35:11 And you know, what can the Eagles do, Ocho? Ooh, they can run the ball, boy. And they can throw it. And they can block. They can go get your quarterback. They got their best. Oh, yeah. Oh, my goodness.
Starting point is 00:35:19 They can go get your quarterback. They can go get your quarterback. I forgot about that damn D-line. Yeah. And listen, this is important. This is an important year for Pick, too, huh? Yeah. In the contract year.
Starting point is 00:35:30 Man, there you go right there. He needs to get the—I know he's seen Jamal Chase. He's seen Justin Jefferson. He's seen T. Higgins. And everybody else is getting paid. He deserves to be paid in that upper echelon of one of the top receivers in the league. And this is his year. This is his year.
Starting point is 00:35:47 No problems, no issues, no attitudes, no playing around. This is the money year for you. Go out there and handle your business. I'm trying to be in that $30 million receiver range. We're going to throw him the ball. Yeah? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:00 Oh, he's going to get it now. Yes, sir. Who do you think run the trade, Ocho? The Cowboys run the trade. The goddamn Steelers ain't even got no quarterback situation yet. I don't care how many picks you got. Third round, two, second round, first round. Man, you have no quarterback.
Starting point is 00:36:28 So I see them finishing fourth in the division this year. Someone tweeted, Ocho, Dallas just broke the golden rule. Never buy a wide receiver. Mike Tomlin is selling. Do you agree? No, I'm not sure how that's the golden rule. I don't understand. Okay, let's see. Antonio Brown.
Starting point is 00:36:47 Antonio Brown. Hold on. Okay, hold on. Martavius Bryant. How did that work out, Ocho? I'm not sure. I can't remember where he went. Okay, Antonio Brown. How did that work out, Ocho? It worked out well when he left. For who? Everywhere he went. Raiders.
Starting point is 00:37:04 Oh, you're talking about what they did personally. Now, I can't touch on that. I'm dead. Okay, I see what you mean. So it worked out well. Okay, how about Chase Claypool? Okay, okay. Go ahead.
Starting point is 00:37:15 Deontay Johnson. He hasn't been able to get his foot in the mud yet. Three teams. Three teams in six months. He's in Cleveland right now, right? Yeah. Yeah, him and Jerry Judah, they going to do damage. Where did he get traded to?
Starting point is 00:37:31 He went to Carolina first. Yeah, and went to Carolina to win. And then he went somewhere else, right? He went to three teams. Baltimore, Baltimore, Baltimore. Yeah. And what did Baltimore do, Ocho? I don't know. Baltimore duo, Joe. Joe, what you laughing at, Joe?
Starting point is 00:37:51 Yeah, I'm just asking. Hey, we're going to be all right, though. We're going to be all right. So I can understand what the tweet is saying. Never buy a receiver. San Antonio Holmes, Plax had that great, had that one season that he played with the Giants.
Starting point is 00:38:13 They won the Super Bowl. Mike Wallace, he kind of didn't have, I mean, he kind of bounced around. He had a pretty good year in Baltimore, but I think he went to, where'd he go first? He went to Miami, didn't he?
Starting point is 00:38:27 Didn't he go to Miami also? I thought he was in Miami first. I think Mike Wallace went to Miami first. I can't remember. I can't remember. And then he ended up going to Baltimore, right? I don't remember. I don't remember.
Starting point is 00:38:42 That Mike was fast. Hold on. What you trying to say? You saying the wide receivers, they come from the Steelers? They don't do nothing when they leave? I don't know why they have these issues when they're in Pittsburgh. That's what I don't get. Because they're immensely talented.
Starting point is 00:38:59 Santorio Holmes was Super Bowl MVP, Ocho. And they let him walk. Yeah. Yeah. A.B ab and he's still my because he's a hall of fame talent yeah i just think he's gonna have to wait a lot longer than what he should have based on the numbers that he put up ocho that's all i'm saying um claypool i don't know what had happened to him martavius b Bryant, we know he had some issues. But you look at the receiver, the one thing Steelers can do, Ocho, they can draft receivers. I don't know how.
Starting point is 00:39:29 Hey, they're going to always, always. The Steelers, listen, the Steelers, the Bengals. Who else always have a receiver? The Cowboys. They had Emmanuel Sanders. Emmanuel Sanders was great in Denver. Yeah. But they just couldn't pay everybody.
Starting point is 00:39:45 Yeah. So, I mean't pay everybody. Yeah. So, I mean, some of them, but some of the guys that they kept, they ended up having issues and ended up leaving. Is Claypool still in the league? I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I'm not sure either, Ocho. Yeah, I know one thing.
Starting point is 00:40:02 This is a do-or-die season for George Pickens. His back is against the wall. He deserves to be paid. I understand the talent. You know the talent. People in the chat that actually watch the game of football, despite whatever issues he may have on field sometimes, some of the antics, he is immensely talented when used the right way. I think the Steelers kind of didn't do him due justice and obviously he didn't help his... Well, I mean, the Steelers didn't have no quarterback to do him justice. Yeah, that too. So, what he did
Starting point is 00:40:40 with what he had to work with, he did the best he could. Now, going where he's going now with another elite partner on the other side of you, well, he going to eat. I'm telling you, he going to eat. He going to eat. You mentioned, Ocho, the NFC East.
Starting point is 00:40:54 You got CD, Pickens, Neighbors, Debo, McLaurin, Devontae, and A.J. Brown. Well, they loaded over that one. Is that the best division for receivers? Absolutely. Absolutely. Absolutely. From top to bottom. Now, there are other good receivers in the other divisions,
Starting point is 00:41:11 but they take the cake, boy. They take the cake. Yeah. I mean, most teams, like, yeah, they don't have, I mean, I think the NFC North with Detroit, Chicago, Minnesota, Green Bay. They got a nice look, but not like this. No, not like that. They got some good ones.
Starting point is 00:41:35 NFC, let's see. NFC West? Nope. NFC South? Nope. NFC North? We just mentioned the North. AFC South? Nope. NFC North. We just mentioned the North. AFC South.
Starting point is 00:41:47 Nope. AFC West. Now, AFC South got some good ones. They got Travis Hunter. They got Brian Thomas Jr. They got Tank. They got Nico. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:04 Tennessee got no Tennessee got Tennessee got Calvin Ridley Ridley he by he by himself huh cause um I think he is by himself
Starting point is 00:42:12 cause Traylon Brooks ain't ain't ain't ain't working he ain't working and then you got the ones in Indy
Starting point is 00:42:19 and he got nice little squad with Pippen, Juman but still it's not like the NFC East not yet cause AJ's been to the NFC East though. Yeah. Because AJ's been to the Pro Bowl, McLaurin,
Starting point is 00:42:28 Debo, neighbors, CD. I think Pickett's been to the Pro Bowl once. Devontae, yeah, so all these guys are Pro Bowl players. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:42:38 NFC East got the best receivers. A photo of Kenny Pickett from today's practice has gone viral, particularly his hand size. Yeah. Yeah, his hand is small. His hand is small. You saw the comparison.
Starting point is 00:42:53 You saw the side-by-side with him and Flacco holding the ball the same way. Nah, I didn't see that. Yeah, yeah. They got a side-by-side. Same pitch, the same pose
Starting point is 00:43:02 with both of them dropping back. And the difference in hand size is crazy. He must be, Miss Rudolph must put that curse on him. You know where Richard Pryor told how Miss Rudolph, the little monkey hands. Where that
Starting point is 00:43:22 monkey go, Miss Rudolph? Say, if you don't blame me by goose or by turkey, you will see him again. In the fall of 1986, Ronald Reagan found himself at the center of a massive scandal that looked like it might bring down his presidency. Did you make a mistake in sending arms to Tehran, sir? No.
Starting point is 00:44:55 It became known as the Iran-Contra affair. And I'm not taking any more questions in just a second. I'm going to ask Attorney General. I'm Leon Nafok, co-creator of Slow Burn. Starting point is 00:46:36 It created a North Star for me of how I want to be in the world, you know. As a child, as a young person, he gave credence to my audacity. There's no debate that this is the greatest global sports figure of our lifetime. Listen to Ali and Me, now on Audible. Falcons fans are upset that the first-round draft pick, Jalen Walker, will wear number 11. Julio Jones is the fastest player in history to 10,000, 11,000, 12,000, and 13,000 yards.
Starting point is 00:47:17 He most seasons averaging 100 yards a game, most seasons with 250 yards, but the Falcons gave away his number 11 with the quickness and didn't retire should that falcons have given away a number 11 no yes they should they should not have given it away absolutely not yeah i mean he's the best wide receiver in falcons history yeah this bad book and you know they look i know drape uh uh. Dre. And what's the other one? White. Roddy White.
Starting point is 00:47:47 Yeah. 84. Yeah. They had, you know, Billy White, Shue Johnson. They had Alfred Jenkins. Nah. Julio. Different.
Starting point is 00:47:56 Different. But, you know, owners. I don't think that, yeah, they didn't leave on the best of terms. Right. Owners don't see it the same way we see it, you know, in understanding what they meant for the franchise, the way fans see Julio. I mean, one of the best, not actually one of, one of the best all time, not only that,
Starting point is 00:48:16 but one of the best receiver to come out of the organization. And they just don't see the value in that, especially the retired jersey. Yeah, I guess they don't seem to think nobody should get their jury retired. Well, let's see if they give that number eight away. What number is Michael Penney Jr.? Because Matt Ryan was eight, right? Two.
Starting point is 00:48:37 Matt Ryan was two. Yeah. Let's see if somebody give that two. You think they're going to give that two away, Ocho? Yeah. Yeah. Listen. to get that two you think they're gonna get that two away on joe uh yeah yeah i listen i mean they there was there was also a little a little not turmoil just a little incident uh somebody with the brown took two from um shador yeah he already had it or he took what you mean i mean so another player i'm not sure who the player is uh i don't quote me. I don't want to butcher anybody's name, but he chose two, and
Starting point is 00:49:07 Shador have to wear 12. I'm saying he new to the Browns, or he already been there, Ochoa. That's what I'm asking. Yeah, I'm not sure. I'm not sure. Yeah, but I definitely think Julio. They should not have given that number 11 to anybody. That's Julio Jones' number.
Starting point is 00:49:23 I wouldn't even want to wear it. I wouldn't either. I wouldn't even want to wear it. I wouldn't either. That's why I'd be wondering when some of these kids be coming out and they be wanting some of these legends' numbers, I'd be like, man, why would you want to even do that? Yeah. You see Abdul Carter wanted to wear 56 for the Giants.
Starting point is 00:49:39 56 and a number 11. Because Phil Simms wore number 11. It's retired. Yeah. Phil Simms said no.. It's retired. Yeah, Phil. Phil Simms said no. Stray's number is retired. I think... Is Don Meredith's number retired? Maybe Y.A. Tittle.
Starting point is 00:49:59 I don't know. Y.A. Tittle. I think Jazz don't have many numbers retired, but they got a few. Yeah. I think Stray... I know Stray... I think St don't have many numbers retired but they got a few yeah I think Stray I think Stray LT Sims
Starting point is 00:50:12 damn damn oh yeah oh well yeah but they definitely should have Julio Jones number should be nobody should wear that number he was too good and I get it
Starting point is 00:50:38 see sometimes I think Ocho people allow the last year to ruin 10 or 11 really great years. And although it didn't end on the best of terms, he's still Julio. He still did a great job for that organization. He was a model citizen in the community. And that should, you know, yeah, I mean, for him to be what he was
Starting point is 00:51:05 for that organization, the numbers that he put up, I definitely think he was more than deserving to have that number retired. Yeah. But it happened at age. I remember when I left, I left Denver
Starting point is 00:51:18 and went to Baltimore. They gave my number to Chris. What's Chris' last name? I forget now. Damn. Yeah, you won Super Bowls over there, didn't you? Yeah. What was Chris?
Starting point is 00:51:35 Damn, I forget the guy's name now. In 2000. Who wore number 84 in 2000? But when I came back, it was in my locker. Bro, I was like, you actually thought I was going to come back here and you was going to be 84 and I was going to be another number?
Starting point is 00:51:57 You thought that? Man, please. Chris Cole. Yeah, Chris Cole yeah Chris Cole where's he from Texas A&M yeah I seen well you know
Starting point is 00:52:09 playmaker he like he like for the wide receivers the way his numbers though Michael oh yeah cause cause he said
Starting point is 00:52:15 they talk about him when they talk about who wore that number yeah they got their own little club going over there yeah
Starting point is 00:52:21 they don't really I mean like they don't really retire a whole lot of numbers. Like, the Steelers, I mean, it's only a handful of people that had that,
Starting point is 00:52:30 like, Joe Green, I think, I think Joe Green, 75, Terry Bradshaw, 12, Ernie Stotner, I think Ernie wore 72. But they had a whole lot. Right.
Starting point is 00:52:46 Oh, DeAndre Carter. I mean, if they retired all them Steelers great, man, you ain't gonna have no numbers. Yeah, you ain't gonna have no numbers. I mean, you think about Swann, 88, 82, 32, 12, 47.
Starting point is 00:53:01 I think Mel Blunt's number might be retired. Blunt. I mean, look at all those Hall of Famers. They had like five or six on defense at one time. Two receivers, the center, running back, quarterback. So that's five on offense. Joe Green, Mel Blunt, Jack Hamm, Lambert, Donnie Shell. Five on defense
Starting point is 00:53:25 so you got 10 Hall of Famers out of your 22 how you like that Ocho? you're coaching the Hall of Fame and your owner boy the real deal yeah and
Starting point is 00:53:39 you can make a case LC Greenwood should be in the Hall of Fame but I definitely think Julio they uh L.C. Greenwood should be in the Hall of Fame. But I definitely think Julio. They did. Huh? Yes.
Starting point is 00:53:54 Officially, it's like Joe Green. Okay. Okay. Officially retired is number 70, Ernie Stotner. Ernie Stotner was, he was our D-line coach when I was in Denver.
Starting point is 00:54:09 Joe Green and Franco Harris, those numbers are officially retired. Unofficially retired, Terry Bradshaw, Jerome Bettis, Troy Palamalu, Mel Blunt, 47, and Mike Webster. I don't want none of those numbers. Mel Blunt made him change the game, made him change the rules. Mike Webster, I believe, is probably the greatest center to ever play.
Starting point is 00:54:31 You know, you can make a case, you know, Dwight Stevens, Jim Otto, but hey, he's on the short list. Troy, hey, he won the two or three best receivers. Me, I think, is the greatest safety. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:49 But, hey, you ain't going to get no – there are some people that say, hey, Troy was every bit the equal, but I just thought Ed took the ball away more, turned it into points. Mm-hmm. All right. Time for our final segment of the evening. Now it's time for Q&A. Adab Smith said, ain't nobody worried about them Cowboys.
Starting point is 00:55:14 Same team that had nine Pro Bowlers and got smacked by the Packers. See that, Ocho? Fine. Sean Camp said, number 21 ain't retired. Prime went to the Hall of Fame as a Falcon. No, it's not like baseball where they put the cap on there. They'll list all the teams
Starting point is 00:55:32 that you played for in football. So the Falcons are on there. The 49ers are on there. The Cowboys are on there. The Washington football team is on there. And the Ravens are on there. It's not like baseball where you get to choose a cap to go into the Hall of Fame.
Starting point is 00:55:49 Russell 843 Ocho, do you mind if someone were the number for the Bengals? Well, Isaac Curtis made that number famous. Ocho took somebody's number. Y'all don't see y'all. You talk about Ocho. Ocho was not the first 85. I know. What?
Starting point is 00:56:05 I made 85 known globally. Oh, Lord. Not just here in the States. You have to understand who you're talking to, huh? This is different. When people see the number 85, it resonates with Ocho. They do. It does.
Starting point is 00:56:19 It does. Yeah, there's no disrespect to the greats that have won 85. But also, they gave it to Tyler Eifert at 85. I'm sure somebody's going to have 85 this year. I'm sure at some point. But shit, I ain't do nothing worthy of getting my damn number retired no damn way, shit. Yeah, but hold on.
Starting point is 00:56:36 I think if Prime would have had his career that he had, now see, here's the thing. He ain't going to win no Super Bowls at the Falcons. He's probably not going to win Defensive Player of the Year with the Falcons. So he had to go elsewhere because he saved the band. They tried to get him. And the thing was, Ocho, they let him walk. They didn't even put no tag on time.
Starting point is 00:57:01 Damn. Casey Taylor said, as Ocho would say don't cheat dunk on yo which two teams have the most retired jerseys
Starting point is 00:57:12 hell probably the Packers and the Bears probably cause they been playing the longest yeah Braves and Giants
Starting point is 00:57:23 okay I do Packers Packers was sorry for stretch Because they've been playing the longest. Yeah. Braves and Giants. Okay. I do this. Packers, Packers was sorry there for a stretch. Once they got out the 60s, they were good and terrible. Deuce File Code donated $50 and said, if the Knicks win game three, man. Yeah, boy. What's it called?
Starting point is 00:57:44 It's going to be on one. Brea Carter said, it's time to have that combo about Jason Tatum. Hey, they better win this series. They got an uphill climb. Yeah. They got a tough one. Op 30, Jason Tatum. I left my wife because she gave me an ultimatum.
Starting point is 00:58:02 The Celtics repeated game one verbatim. Knicks in five. Chris Flores, Jason Tatum, Channing Tatum, Jason Tatum. Knicks in five, Ocho, they said. Yeah, I told you. The Sixwood Aquarius. We need old school Knicks Pacers conference finals with a final appearance on the line. All the OGs from the past should come out for this one.
Starting point is 00:58:27 Oh, they would. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Except I don't know if Dolan going to let Oak back in the arena. He might have to go to Indy and see that. But I definitely could see Xavier McDaniels and Charles Smith, Starks, Ewing. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:45 See those guys coming back. And then the Davis boys. I don't know if Rick Smith's still in the States. Reggie, well, yeah, Reggie would. Now, I don't know. Reggie might be calling the game. He'll be calling the game. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:58 So he'll be there. Yeah, yeah. Casey Taylor, ISO in the NFL always wanted AP, Laffitt, Gerald, Calvin, Jay to win rings
Starting point is 00:59:09 in the NBA, you and Vince and Tracy. Man. I had a chance to. Look, so look, when I was in Brooklyn,
Starting point is 00:59:20 I took a buyout and I signed with the Miami Heat. Yeah. When I took my buyout, I was talking to LeBron and D-Wade. So those were my two choices on the teams I was going to go to. That year, Cleveland, they came back from their 3-1 deficit in Ocho, and they won.
Starting point is 00:59:41 Yeah, 2016. Yeah, that's the year. I signed with Miami, though. I signed with Miami, though. I signed with Miami because a number, a couple things. First off, they only had one ball handler,
Starting point is 00:59:50 which was D. Wade. And I'm like, I want to be able to handle that thing. I want to be able to dribble that thing. You go play in Cleveland, you got Kyrie,
Starting point is 00:59:57 Bruin, and Kev. There's only two other spots. Me, J.R., Shump, Richard Jefferson. We're going to be fighting for them two spots.
Starting point is 01:00:06 I'm like, man, listen, I'm going to go over here to Miami. I'm going to go over here and help D. Wade. They were last in three-point shooting. It was a fun deal. White side got hurt in the playoffs, which is why we came up short, but it was fun playing in Miami, bro.
Starting point is 01:00:21 My question is, after LeBron retires, who you going to root for player-wise? SGA Ant-Man or Luka? You know where you're going? Ooh. Damn. It's out of
Starting point is 01:00:38 Ant-Man or Luka. Man, Trowell, stop playing, man. That's my only two choices I don't know why you playing around cause Luca man you know growing up my favorite player was Larry Bird and Luca remind me of Bird
Starting point is 01:00:53 he a bad boy unless he could Uncle Nocho I still see you guys stream on my platform what is it Rubler I still hope to see you guys stream on my platform. What is it, Rubler? I still hope to see you guys stream on my platform. Rubler. Is that it?
Starting point is 01:01:11 Okay, sure. Dr. Frankie L. Bellamy, dog, what it do? Hey, fam, Ocho, congrats on your pilot's license. Since you're looking for more jobs, have you ever thought about bull riding? I think you would kill it. I have the perfect stage name for you. Rodeo Ocho. Rodeo Ocho. Yeah, I should. Listen, I'm already bull riding once. I might as well do it again. I've been looking to be a content
Starting point is 01:01:35 creator, man. I see everybody creating content, but I want to do content where I want to push the envelope a little bit, Joe. I'm going to push the envelope a little bit where it's almost dangerous, where I could actually get hurt. I want people to almost cringe right before I do something. Like, okay, this is almost life or death. I wonder what's going to happen. But I just don't know where to start. Do the vert on a skateboard like Tony Hawk. That's easy. I know the skateboard Hawk. All right, that's easy.
Starting point is 01:02:05 I know a skateboard already. No, you don't. No, go on that vert. Oh, you're talking about the high,
Starting point is 01:02:10 the high vert? Yeah, yeah, that. Oh, okay, okay, okay,
Starting point is 01:02:13 okay, okay. I like that. That's a good one. Tay, say, you think baseball is wrong for not letting certain players
Starting point is 01:02:19 in the Hall of Fame, not even the PD guys, but it's hard to make it to the MLB Hall of Fame. NBA is easy as hell, and the NFL does pretty good. Well, the thing is with basketball, they take everything. They take college. They take international.
Starting point is 01:02:34 They take NBA. And football, they only take what you did in the NFL. And I think in baseball, they only take what you did in MLB. Everybody that says the greatest player that they've ever seen with their own two eyes is Barry Bonds. Seven MVPs. Even if you strip away, even if you take away everything that he did in San Francisco, he's still got three MVPs in Philly.
Starting point is 01:03:02 I mean, in Pittsburgh. He's still the only guy with 400 home runs and 400 stolen bases. That's before he even set foot in San Francisco. So strip San Francisco does not happen. Is he not a Hall of Famer? Yep. Red Bull underscore 675. Hey, Unc, don't worry, because next year it can be Steph Curry, In A Hurry,
Starting point is 01:03:29 Edie McFlurry, next to Eddie Murray, Lakers in five. We're going to get us a big man. We need a big. We can't do anything. Real Carter, she in the chat again. It's time to have the conversation about Jason Tatum. You know what, Brie? We're going to have the conversation. When Joe come back next week, It's time to have the conversation about Jason Tatum. You know what, Bree?
Starting point is 01:03:46 We're going to have the conversation. When Joe come back next week, we're going to have the conversation about Jason Tatum. Now, hopefully it's a good conversation. If they down 3-0, they get swept, we're going to have a very uncomfortable conversation. A very, very, very, very, very uncomfortable conversation. Oh, yeah. That concludes this episode of Nightcap.
