After head coach Chris Finch pulled Wolf starter, and left the bench, went to the locker room with a little under eight minutes left in the game. The Hawks led at the time 109 to 80. Finch called time out after the call him out after the game.

said, obviously, frustrated with the performance and rightfully so, but he needs to stay on the floor and root for his team. Today's game continued a frustrating stretch for the Wolves, who have lost three of their four games, despite Ant Man averaging 31.3. During that stretch, Minnesota, sitting 21 and 13 this year, in sixth place in the West. According to ESP and Ant Man and Atlanta Native,

who played college ball at Georgia, had a number of old friends and family at tonight's game, including his grandfather. I get all that. Bro, you're down 30? Joe, you ain't coming back with eight minutes to go down party? You ain't coming back,

Like, they couldn't stop him. But nobody else was giving him anything on his team. Plus, the Hawks were, man, they was hitting on all cylinders. Okay, Ocho. They weren't missing. They moving their back. basketball, everybody touching it. Didn't they have like 20-something-3, Joe?

Here's the thing, because I've been hearing a lot of the rummless about Trey Young when he came back. You know how the Hawks haven't been playing great. You can't game plan for the guys who's out there. Now, when Trey is not out there, it's hard to game playing for those guys. You know what I mean? Like when Trey is out there, he's such a focal point of the offense that, you know, you put so much attention on him that, you know, I think he can.

kind of creates a little havoc or whatnot throughout the team. But I think when Trey doesn't play, everybody just kind of plays freely. Nobody's really getting double team, triple team. Jalen Johnson has been spectacular throughout this. Yeah, what the hell of he come from, Joe? He got hurt last year. He would have been an all-star last year, but he got hurt. This year, they got him in places on the court to where he's so effective,

but he's the prototypical forward in today's game of basketball. I mean, he could do everything. He can shoot the three. He rebound, block shots, play defense. He can playmate. He has no weakness. And you can tell, look, if you look at the month of, I think December, you average a triple-double

in this whole month of December. He's been bawling. He's been bawling. He had 34 to 9 on 15 to 22, three or six from the three-point line, one-on-one from the free-throw line, 10 rebounds, six assists, two steals, and a block.

He's bowling, man. But Edman, you said, Joe, Edman, had 30. He 10 of 18, 3 of 8 from 3, 7 of 8 from the free throw line. He played 33 minutes. Man, listen. Can you imagine, Uncle, if you was playing, if you was playing, and y'all came out here and you playing against the Falcons,

uncle, you got, you know, you're out here doing your thing, but y'all getting blew out, and you got your whole family and friends out. Like, man, I totally und. So I cut up on the Falcons. The Hawks, Joe, the Hawks may look to trade, Trey Young this season before he makes the decision on his 2026 player option, but that's if there's a trade market for him.

An anonymous exec, it's hard to think that a team trying to win this season, that Trey would help, especially when you factor in what the team would be losing from players you would have to send back as matching salaries. He doesn't defend, he doesn't rebound, and guys hate playing with him. Damn.

NBA inside of Mark Stein also reported they're the growing belief league-wide that the Hawks are more open to trading trade away than they've ever been. But it doesn't seem like there's interest that's being met with a bidding war. Joe, you're in Atlanta, you know this team, you play with this team for a number of years.

Can you see a scenario in which the Hawks do and do in fact trade, trade yo? I don't see, I don't see them trading them. I think that I can see them playing it out. I think me personally, yeah, we got guys on the squad. When Trey's not playing, we can win some game. But man, if you're talking about winning a playoff series or advancing, trying to get to a finals, just to even get close,

you're going to need a game changer like Trey. I know we got Jalen Johnson, but you're going to need two guys, man, y'all know in this game, bro, you need at least two or three guys to be able to get you over the hump. So I think with him spraying in his MCL, you know, early in this season, you know, obviously it's taking him a little while to kind of get back in red form. I think offensively he's been playing pretty great. The winters just hasn't been there when he's been playing as of late.

But if you ask me, I don't think they should trade him right now. I think they got a fine tune of what they have. The East isn't that tough. It is a few teams that's pretty good, but I think the Hawks still have a pretty good chance. You have to be clicking at the right time, man. You got to hope when March and April come around, you know, you're playing high-level basketball. You know the worst thing that can happen, Joe, and you know this firsthand, Ocho, is that getting hurt and the team get an opportunity to look at other guys.

If Jalen Johnson, because Trey's going to demand the ball, going to command the ball. If Jalen Johnson this, are we going to see Nikiel Alexander Walker do what he does? So now him being removed, Joe, other guys got an opportunity. Jalen Johnson is going to be an all-star. They're like, uh, uh, and he's six, seven, six, eight. You, it's hard to win with a six foot to, unless you, Jeff Curry, who's transcended, Isaiah, but more times than not, you got to be a big guard.

You got to be Kobe. You got to be Michael Jordan. If great as Alan Arborson was, he couldn't get them over. You got to be a big guard. He's not. I don't know if he's six foot. So, and the thing is, like, they said, well, he doesn't rebound.

He doesn't play defense. And we're seeing that happen to Luca. Luca's 6-7, but it's like his feet now to the floor. Yeah. So why he might light you up on what happens, see, the problem is is that when Luca has an off night,

his guy is never going to have an off night because he can always get to the ball, get to the rim on Luca. Same thing with Trey. Trey is so small and he doesn't play defense. He's not a pesky, you know, sometimes guys are small joke, they're pesky defenders. Like Caruso.

You're right. And yeah, Caruso like 6'5. He is? Yeah. Why he looks so small on TV? Cover everybody on 6-8, 6-9, 6-foot. Hey, but it goes back to what I was saying, Uncle Ocho. When Tray's on the floor, you know, he's game playing for. He's in the scowron report. People are going to try to go at him.

when he's not in the lineup it's hard of the game playing for the Atlanta Hawks because you really don't know who's going to beat you outside of Jalen Johnson. Yeah, he's going to do his thing, but outside of him, you really don't know who's going to beat him. So they have a multitude of dudes who's stepping up, man, and just playing high-level basketball at this point.

Right. So, yeah, it's tough. It's unfortunate, man. Man. Hey, Joe. I don't like the part what they say, and players don't want to play with him. Where they come up with that?

Nicola Yolkic is second in the west. Steph Curry is third. Shea Gildjus is fourth. Victor Wimmi, Ant Man. Wow. The Portland guys in front of LeBron and Katie. I do think LeBron. The second vote, I think LeBron will probably be in the top five.

I'm thinking. And in the east is Janus, Tyrese, Jalen Brumson, Kay Cunningham, Donovan Mitchell, Jalen Brown, Carl Anthony Tows, Jalen Johnson, Pascal C. Alcomb, Michael Porter, Jr. They round out the top 10. I don't think Brian, I'm going to be honest with you.

I don't think Brown really cared about playing an awesome game. If y'all just want me to be 100. I think he wants to do whatever he can for the Lakers to make a nice playoff run. Yeah. Not with that defense. They ain't making nothing. Well, I mean, they probably got to make a few changes on. but I'm sure he much rather go deep into the playoffs

versus I don't think he really cares about playing an all-star game but you know from a fan's perspective I can I can understand to see why you know people would want to see him in the all-star game he's done so much for the game man he's he's been yeah I mean he's been unbelievable well good luck to the guy I mean look he's been 21 straight times 21 times starting so good luck to somebody breaking that

record. Wemby got hurt tonight. We'll see the extent of that injury. Nicola Yokic is injured. He's going to miss. They say they'll re-evaluate him in a month. We'll see how that plays out. So he could rise.

He could easily rise up the rankings and we'll see how that goes. Probably if this was his last year, if he told Adam Silver this was his last year, oh, he's going to be an all-star game. It'd be just like the D-Way situation. Oh, yeah, for sure. So that's what

we are on that uh i i don't look he's averaging what's he averaging now what he's average about i think he's about i think he's about 19 20 i think he's about like 22 i think he about like 20 point 3 okay man listen it for this to be his what 21st season 23rd he's gonna turn 41 that's yep he turned 41 yesterday that's impressive bro that's impressive Very. Luca got to have the ball in his hand in order to be effective. And I think, but I think instead of just sticking LeBron in the corner,

I think he and Lucas should play more picky role. sticking LeBron in the corner. That ain't, that ain't what you could. I think what happened when he came back, because, you know, he missed the start of the season, and Luca, AR was so hot. It was hot as fish, Gris and start to see it. Yes.

He didn't want to mess that up. So that's why he came out. You can see he had the one game where he didn't score 10 points before the most part. He came out as a facilitator. He was just trying to keep everything copacetic. I'm going to keep letting y'all be the superstars that y'all been this whole season.

And I'm going to just fit in with the guys. I enjoy watching that part, but I think what has happened is it got him out of rhythm. You know, he's a rhythm of the timing guy. So if I'm out here facilitating him. He is, absolutely. If I'm out of facilitating for three straight quarters, then when the four quarter get here,

it's kind of, you know, it's a little hard for me to kind of get into my bad. You know what I mean? And I think that's kind of what he's dealt with. Just kind of start the season anyway when he first came back because he was facilitating so much, he wasn't in no rhythm offensively. I agree.

I agree. So it's going to be end of the season. resting. The only way he'll get in, he'll get a special invite through Adam Silver. I don't know if he'll be because it's the top. They just take the top five guys now. So it might be five. So right now, as it says, it'll be Luca, Nicola, Nicola,

Steph Curry, Shee Gilgist, and Victor William Yama. That would be your starter. And in the East, it'd be Yonis, Tyrese, Max, Jalen Brunson, K. Coddyham, and Donald McNale. So one team would have three guards and two bigs and the other team would have one big and four and four guards. Yeah, it'll be. So it would be Janice, Tyrese, and Jalen Brunswick, Cunningham, and Donovan Mitchell against Luca. But remember this year, Ocho and Joe, they split it up.

Yeah. So it's going to be three divided up and like the European, the world take on the American. And so I don't know how this thing will go, but it's not going to be a typical East West All-Star game, which I think they should probably go back and start doing a typical East West All-Star game. Yeah. Following the Lakers lost to the Pistons yesterday,

LeBron was asked, what advice would he give an 18-year-old self? It's a lot. A lot of advice I would give him. I would just say keep the main thing, the main thing. Work hard. There's no substitute for hard work. I think hard work and dedication,

if you want to be great, going to pay off. find his own. As much as they praise you, even, uh, it's even triple quadruple people trying to bring you down, which is absolutely true. And they want to tear you down every single day. Protect your family, protect your mental space. It's a lot more, but that just goes to have fun and enjoy the ride because you never know when it comes to an end. It goes fast. Very fast. He's the most, he's the most love player. He's the most

talked about, but he's also the most vilified. And he understands that. He understands that. No matter what he does, LeBron could have won 10 championships and he's never going to be loved like Jordan. He was never going to be loved like Kobe. It is what it is. Dead man.

Ain't nothing you can do about that. Just play your best. I don't know if you actually came into the game to be loved. You came to be the best you could possibly be and then you were willing to let the chips fall where you may. But Jordan just got such a head start and he had the shoes. He had all those commercials.

Yeah. Kobe, the same thing. He was 17-year-old. And he grew up. They watched a kid become a man, become a father, become a husband, right before their eyes. Maybe if he could have accomplished everything he accomplished.

In Cleveland, maybe. Because all the Jordan accolades came from Chicago. All the Kobe accolades came from the Lakers. LeBron, some came from Cleveland, some came from Miami, some came from Cleveland again, some came from the lake. You're saying that's why some people,

but some people give him a little knock because he had, he traveled around. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yep. But if he'd have a Jerry Krauss or if he had a Jerry West

that could put a team together, he wouldn't have left. But, and plus now they've made ring culture. And it used to be like that, though, Joe. Yeah. Joe. So guys were willing to stay.

But now, you called me a bum. If I ain't got no ring, I'm going to get that ring. And then what y'all say? And then y'all poop on me when I get a ring. Like Kevin Durant. Kevin the Rand says,

I do not want to be the best player without a ring. Because that was a title of y'all bestowed Carl Malone. That's the title of y'all bestowed upon Charles Barclay. I don't want that moniker. And then they beat him up. They said he didn't have a ring. He'd go get a ring, but you took the cheap way out.

Can't win. He can't win for losing. Can't win. Kobe had Jerry West. Michael Jordan had Jerry Krauss. So LeBron says if I'd had somebody as competent to those guys, guys that are in the Hall of Fame, Jerry West is in the Hall of Fame as a player

and a general manager. Well, I'll probably would stay. I would stay. If I could have got somebody to come to Cleveland, it's hard to get somebody come to Cleveland. That's not New York. That's not Miami. That's not L.A.

Yonison's finding out that to harm. way. Remember Yonanin said, oh, I don't want to go join nobody. And then the thing that I don't like about Yonis, he's talking about that's between my agent. The agent works at the behest of the player. You see how he's trying to absolve himself, Joe? Yeah. But my agent, whatever conversation my agent is having, that's the conversation he's having. Really, Yonis? You really expect us to believe that that agent is not working at the behest of you. Everybody don't want that. LeBron took LeBron did what he did

so everybody else could run. Kevin Durant could run to run the Golden State. Everybody else could do what they did. He took all those arrows. He was the first big, big name to move. Nah, it ain't nothing, no.

Ring coach. Because you tell me I'm a bum if I ain't got no ring. I can average 30. I'm a first team all the NBA selection for seven, eight, nine years, Joe. I've gone to the All-Star game 12, 13 times, but I'm a bum because I ain't got no ring.

Some guy that just happened to be on a team, he's the fourth guy on a team. He starts, but he's the fourth guy. He got a ring, and you say he's better than me. Yeah. That's how I go, man. That's how it is, bro. Good news, first fans, Victor Winniama lived up the court

in the fourth quarter of tonight's 134-12 win over the next. after his left knee buckled as he tried to secure a rebound under the basket. Wemby said after he suffered a hyper extension, and the initial test did not reveal any other issues. He said he would not have more testing done. He said he would have more testing done on Thursday. I'm very confident. I was this close to coming back in the game.

They had to hold me back. It was just one of a hyper extension, so it should be minimal. We've got to do everything tomorrow to check that everything's okay. Hey, when we added, I expect to be back next game. He did. Ocho, Joe, he's always, oh, Joe, because he's so tall, he's going to have issues. Yeah.

You're going to have issues. I mean, he's 7'4. His quads are only so big. They're going to only be able to take those shock absorbers. It's only going to be able to take so much pressure off of his joints. You know, hyper extension, it ain't that bad. I know when you do hypers thing you need, I hate that spaghetti feeling.

It feels like it's not together, and you're really cautious. You know, but give them a few days, maybe a week or so. Yeah, it'd be. Man, listen, Ocho, Ocho, the man, 7,5, man, all legs. Like, all legs.

I think this is something that you definitely got to wear about. I mean, this ain't no normal person like you at 6162. Hey, Joe, I'm 6-3, Joe. Don't do that. All right. You say, my bad. You're 6-3? Yeah, okay, more bad, my bad.

So, you know, your bounce back is a lot different for somebody who's 7-5. You feel, them bad? So, yeah, I think the Spurs need to take, you know, precautionary with this, man. Don't rush, big fella because, see, what's been happening, our stars in the NBA, bro, getting hurt, and it's killing the game. It's killing our game, bro. We, you know, we want to see the best out there competing on a night-to-night basis. And, you know, when your best players get hurt, look, Yokers are going to be out for a month. I love watching Yokish play out there killing them, boy.

Boy, can't jump over a phone book. You hear me? Man, I'm talking about it. He's the MVP right now. I know. He's the MVP, but he's not going to be able to win it because he's not going to be able to make the game the quote of the game. That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying.

It's hurting. It's killing the game. It's killing the game. I hate that for Yoke. Because it didn't even. even looked like nothing really happened to him. He got somebody stepped on me like he hyper extended as me. He dodged the bullet for sure.

He dodged the bullet for sure. But I'm glad to see Wemby's okay. Everything checks a look like he's going to check out and he's going to be fine. He's going to be able to go the next game or at least a six-hills. Oh, Joe. Joe Burrow discussed the mindset when facing Miles Garrett and Wheat 18 as Garrett closed in on the NFL sack record. Burrow said, I'm certainly not.

they're going to overcompensate either way. I'm not going to go out of my way to not let him get the record, and I'm not going to go out of my way to let him get the record. Either way, I'm going to play football. There's going to be a situation that a sack is the best of the bad outcome of that play,

and maybe I take one. There's going to be other situations that I'm about to get sacked, and I need to throw it away in that situation. I love his mindset. I like it too, I like it too, but obviously the person that need to be asking that question,

is the officer line. That's what they should have been asked to. Obviously, reporters don't want to go there. They probably don't want to ask that to them. But listen, I was very hesitant in saying, I don't want Miles Garrett to get the sack record, you know, against the Bengals. But the fact that I'm going to be at the game, and I asked him for the jersey that he gets a sack record with,

I'm going to allow him to get one sack. I'm going to allow him to get one sack but now I'll be in the building, Joe, to be able to collect that jersey I asked for. So you know what? Congratulations. You do realize the Hall of Fame are going to be on the hand too often, right?

I can tell you what. I'll tell you what. There's one thing is it. Listen, Miles Garrett could do two things. He can get the sack record on Sunday and he can get that jersey to the Hall of Fame after he already promised me or he can get that sack record

Every playoff game should be played every single weekend until you finish the season. The season needs to end January the 1st. We've given up some of our days to the NFL. Saturday should be sacred for college football. through the month of December should belong to college football. In my opinion, Lennon also said earlier this week that he believes all games leading up to the night should be played at the higher seed stadium,

effectively calling for the end of bowl games. Man, since the college football playoff, I would be honest, Joe, Ocho. Yeah. I don't even watch the bowl games no more. No? No. Ocho, we used to look forward to the bowl.

The bowl games meant something. The orange bowl. sugar bowl, the peach bowl, the blue bonnet bowl, all these balls, they mince up. Also, may, don't know about the character they ain't playing for nothing, but some headphones and a swag bag. Right.

I'm being honest, Chad. I ain't trying to be disrespectful. Congratulations to all the teams. Excuse me, that made a bowl game. But now with the college football playoff, that's all people care about. Yeah. And if your team is not in the playoffs,

the only people that are watching the bowl game are fans of that specific team. I get you, I get you. I'm with you, I'm with you when you're right again. Yeah. I mean, you look at the game like, bro, I'm like, and this is what you happen. And so, and they're talking about what increase the 16.

Ocho and Joe, if you increase in 16, you might have would just do away with the ball game because you ain't got a 42 people. The only people in the bowl game watching now are family members. Right, right, right. Basically. I'm just, I,

I don't know what college is going to do. They got all this money. They got to do something. Because these bowl games. And kids, if you, and the thing is, Joe and Ocho, if you're a college kid and you got a high grade on you, are you really playing in a bowl game that's not going to lead to a national championship? Really?

Absolutely not. Oh. Especially you have an opportunity going to the draft. Nah, you're not taking that chance. Well, it depends on what the type of money. are you making? These professional athletes now. These ain't,

these ain't just regular college students no more, man. These dudes make money. Absolutely. But I agree. They need to go ahead and get, because if you complete with NFL, you're not going to win.

Nobody that competes with the NFL, not NCAA, not NBA basketball. If you go look at the college game, the NFL did three, four times the ratings that NBA did. Mm-hmm. Oh, ain't no competing.

And I get Charles Barklin, everybody's saying, Who won, who won Christmas, though? With the NFL. It didn't even close. Okay. Three to four to one. And I get it. The NBA used to be, Christmas used to belong to the NBA.

Yes. But not no more. Y'all know how the NFL, the NFL by that dollar, wasn't it, because the thing is the same thing to NBA. Everybody at home, Joe. Ain't nobody working on Christmas. Uh-uh. part. I mean, obviously you got convenience stored

in certain situations of people open, but for the most part, people at home watching. Yeah. It was a, hmm, I wonder if they'll watch us, let we sprinkle a game here. Oh, they really watched us to the 220 plus million. Let's add another one. Let's see if they watch. To the 220-something million.

We'll add a third one. So if you think about, if you combine all the games that play basketball games that will play them, they might beat one NFL game. Yeah. See, they started playing at 12 o'clock noon. Hey, and that all depends on the scheduling too

and who's actually playing. And think about it. And look at the games that we had. We had Dallas and the commanders. And neither team going anywhere. Mm-hmm. 20-something million. Then we got the Lions and the Vites.

27 million. We got Kansas City with no Mahomes. No starting corners. 20-something million. Yeah. You got Luca, you got KD, you got LeBron. Five million. That's it?
