The New York Jets locker room might have a problem with Aaron Rodgers, whether it's going on darkness retreat, going on trip to self-medication, or taking controversial political rants, Rodgers has shown to be more player goal-minded than helping his team win.
Starting point is 00:03:50 Remember Ocho, when he played for the Packers, he said that he enjoys winning Super Bowl MVP, winning league MVP, more than competing for a Super Bowl. On the Jets' TikTok post two weeks ago where players were asked, what is the most overrated things? Roger said, training camp. This attitude certainly caught the attention of his teammates.
Starting point is 00:04:09 An agent for one of the players has raised awareness of Roger's bad mentality in the locker room with Rogers in the middle. There's a completely, there's this, there's complete disarray over there. Look at how they've handled Aaron Rogers. Has one player had more power than him? He skipped minicamp and they have been able to convert into a team player. The vibe inside the building is terrible. While other players are looking to buy in and get the team to the postseason,
Starting point is 00:04:37 Rodgers has shown, once again, he doesn't care. I mean, God damn. Hey, you know what on every team um whether whether you like it or not in chat i'm just telling you it's the way it is on all 32 teams there are certain players that are treated differently than everybody else you don't treat them all the same we get it you don't treat everybody the same now at times you know there are certain players that really don't take advantage of that situation and having special treatment i think aaron rogers is one of those who takes advantage of that special treatment because of who he is and the understanding that they do need him because of what he has accomplished during this league being being a Super Bowl champion for that matter,
Starting point is 00:05:25 and the situation that they're in dire need of a quarterback. I think he goes overboard a little bit with taking advantage of the fact that they need him so much. But what are you going to do to me? I miss training camp. What you going to do to me?
Starting point is 00:05:39 I miss mandatory mini camp. My bad, mandatory mini camp. Well, what you going to do to me? I had other obligations at that time. I think he's one that feels he doesn't need it because he's been playing so goddamn long but again to me team leader new team new quarterback you missed the season last year i'm thinking about continuity building chemistry with your players with your teammates and getting them to understand that you are the leader. With you being a leader and the quarterback, you have to lead by example.
Starting point is 00:06:09 And leading by example is actually being there and showing up when it matters most, even though it is mandatory minicamp. Because what's going to happen in those games when it matters most? You're going to want those players around you showing up when it matters most. Listen, Aaron Rodgers has been playing this game for a very long time he knows how to play it at a very very high level and he's damn good at it he's damn good at it so the leash for him i think is a little bit longer than most a lot longer a little bit longer than most because you ain't getting quarterbacks like that just falling off the goddamn tree. I've always felt that Aaron Rodgers felt he was beyond reproach.
Starting point is 00:06:51 Aaron Rodgers felt because he's so accomplished slow, unless you were Tom Brady as coach, or if you were going to be Peyton Manning, you couldn't talk to him. And he had this holier-than-thou attitude. And what happens if you feel that way in the beginning when you've accomplished nothing? And then you start to accomplish everything. How are you going to be, O'John?
Starting point is 00:07:17 If I gave you my ass to kiss and I ain't got a pot to pee in, I'm willing to open it up and throw it out of. Let me get some money. Yeah. Let me get some power. I'll show you my character. I'll show you who I am that's all he's doing Aaron Rodgers has not changed
Starting point is 00:07:32 this is who Aaron Rodgers has always been y'all think money changed him y'all thought MVP changed him, no this is who you are you are who you are at your core a person that's benevolent magnanimous, philanthropic they didn't just get that way when they had got money. That's always been that way.
Starting point is 00:07:51 Who you are, it ain't on you. It's in you. Yeah. And all money does is magnify your true culture. Amplify it. That's what it does. It makes you more of what you already are. If you a jerk before you got money, you become an asshole once you get it.
Starting point is 00:08:13 Listen, before I had money, I was cheap. When I got money, I became a cheap bitch. When I got a little bit more money, I became a cheap motherfucker. But as long as that cheap word come first, that's all that matter. It don't matter how much I get. I'm going to stay the same and I'm not changing. I've always been benevolent.
Starting point is 00:08:35 I've always given. I got something. Me and my brother was always like that. He got $10. He would go work. He'd come home. He might make $10. He'd give me $250. He got $10. He go work. He come home. He might make $10. He give me $250. He give me something. I got money. He got money. My sister got money. I've always been
Starting point is 00:08:53 that way. I've always been that way. I've always been generous with my friends. That's just who I am. Everybody ain't like that. If you notice, a lot of times when I gave speeches that I was dressing team or my former teammates, I always end with this.
Starting point is 00:09:12 I hope you enjoy playing with me as much as I enjoy playing with you. I always ended with that because I had a ball. I tried to be the best teammate I possibly could. Did I push people? Absolutely. Because I was there to win. I wasn't there to be your friend. I was there to win. Now, we became friendly or we became friends.
Starting point is 00:09:30 As a byproduct of that, I welcomed that with open arms. But Shannon Sharp went to Savannah State to win. He went to Denver to win. He went to Baltimore to win. And in the process, I made some great friends, lifelong friends. But all I cared about was winning.
Starting point is 00:09:46 That was it. That's what I was there for. But look, he is who he is. He's as good a girl of the football that we've ever had in the NFL. There's no question about his talent. We're not debating that. That's not what the debate is.
Starting point is 00:10:09 But I just believe that there are things that he's done that's not conducive. There's no way you have that kind of talent. And you've only been to one Super Bowl? With the teams that you've had around you?
Starting point is 00:10:24 What? That's not an accident, Ocho. Yeah. I hope he has a good season. Because one thing, everything, everything going on, you know, the retreats, the missing camps and the things that he says, you know, politically that rub people the wrong way.
Starting point is 00:10:44 One thing can erase and cure all that. Win, you know, politically that rub people the wrong way, one thing can erase and cure all that. Winning. That's winning. Ocho, CBS Sports ranked the top 10 quarterback with the most approved entering the season. Number 10, Tua. Number 9, Trevor Lawrence. Number 8, Daniel Jones. Number 7, Sam Darnold.
Starting point is 00:11:01 Number 6, Will Levis. Number 5, Anthony Richardson. Number 4, Bryce Young. Number 3, Russell Wilson. Number six, Will Levis. Number five, Anthony Richardson. Number four, Bryce Young. Number three, Russell Wilson. Number two, Aaron Rodgers. Number one, Sean Watson. Okay. You know
Starting point is 00:11:18 what? I like the list. I don't like the numerical order of the list. Where you rearranged? Now, number one, Deshaun is okay. Now, I'm going to agree with that simply because of the contract situation and the amount of money that he was paid. And I'm sure he's going to get back to Deshaun.
Starting point is 00:11:44 We're used to seeing... This is definitely a proven year for him, won't you? Yeah, this is a proven year for him. I think Aaron Rodgers at number two is good. Love it. Is rich, really good, especially him after coming off an injury season. Him at number two is good.
Starting point is 00:12:07 And I think Russell at three is good. I want to put the three veterans first as opposed to all the young bulls that we have left. Sam Darnold.
Starting point is 00:12:21 Obviously, I don't think Sam Darnold. I get it. He's in Minnesota. I was going to say he had nothing to prove. J.J. McCarthy is going to be the starter for the Minnesota Vikings. No, J.J. is out for the season. That's why they got Sam Darnold. I know. That's why I said. I'm saying moving forward.
Starting point is 00:12:36 That's why he really had nothing to prove. But again, this would be good tape for Sam Darnold to put up in case he gets picked up somewhere else. Now, you've already had three stops. Maybe you can do something with a fresh start at a new place and put film out that says, you know what? Maybe he's gotten better
Starting point is 00:12:55 because he has another full season under his belt. Again, you got Justin Jefferson at the helm, too. This is his fourth stop, Ocho. He's at the Jets, he's at Carolina San Fran, now Minnesota yeah I would put Daniel Jones
Starting point is 00:13:12 I would put Daniel Jones for yeah definitely not Bryce Young he should be way at the top you got Bryce Young in front of Daniel Jones yeah Daniel Jones well damn Will Levis only played he only had one season Daniel Jones? Yeah, Daniel Jones. Well, damn.
Starting point is 00:13:29 Will Levis only played, he only had one season. Yeah, I don't get to hear this. Anthony Richardson is coming off a, I don't like this list. I don't like this list. Now, the only thing that I can agree on is the first three. Deshaun, Aaron, Russell. This is, for Russell Wilson, this is the make it or break it year. This is the make it or break it year for Russell Wilson.
Starting point is 00:13:49 Yeah. My problem is, Ocho, is that a lot of times you look at the guys, look at the contract Deshaun got, look at what Russell was paid, and Daniel Jones, they gave Daniel Jones money and they ended up losing Saquon because of
Starting point is 00:14:06 it. And he had basically an eight game stretch and parlayed that into $40 million a year. So he has a... So you got Daniel Jones as your number four. Yeah, I put him up.
Starting point is 00:14:21 And NFL quarterback to prove. Now, Trevor Lawrence and Tua, excuse me, they just got these big contracts. Yeah. So let's see. Obviously, you have something to prove. You have to prove that I'm deserving because I didn't
Starting point is 00:14:37 pay you for what you did. I'm paying you for what I believe you can do moving forward. You can do, yeah. So I would have them at five and six. Trevor Lawrence, Tua, five and six. Trevor Lawrence, who are five and six. I'm not putting no guy that just got the lead up there. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:55 Yeah. So Deshaun, Aaron, Russell Wilson, Trevor Lawrence, and Tua. And then after that, I mean, it's based on who you want to put up there. I'd probably have Sam Donner with 10. Since the Browns guaranteed Watson a $230 billion contract, this is what they got.
Starting point is 00:15:13 Barely 12 games, healthy and available, 59% completion rate, nearly as many turnovers, 11, as touchdown throws, 14. Yeah. That's why he's number one on the list. I saw him at the Super Bowl. Said he's healthy. Said he looked good. I mean, he had surgery.
Starting point is 00:15:34 Said he looked good. I want him to do well. Because I think people, because Ocho, because of what transpired off the field in Houston, I think people forgot just how great he was and the trajectory that he was on. And because of what transpired, people, obviously, it's just natural.
Starting point is 00:15:53 People are going to look at you a different way. And he hasn't, I mean, he got suspended and he didn't play well. And then he wasn't playing well. He got injured again. And so this is, just make make a break, Ochoa. I'm not saying make a break because the contract's still guaranteed. I'm just saying as far as how we perceive him and what we expect of him.
Starting point is 00:16:15 Because at some point in time, Ochoa, we can't keep saying, well, man, you know he missed a year because he did. Remember his last year in Houston, he didn't play. The next year, he was suspended, what, 10, 11 games? So he only played five. The following year after that, don't joke, he got hurt early. He got hurt. He got hurt. So...
Starting point is 00:16:36 You know who else can go on that list too? Who I think this might also be a make or break a season? Maybe, maybe not. Kyler Murray. I can see that. I can see that. Kyler Murray. I can see that. I can see that. Kyler Murray. I just think the thing is, Ocho,
Starting point is 00:16:51 that contract and the way it was written, I think it made people look at him differently. Because nobody, we had never seen a contract written like that. That we ask a guy to do
Starting point is 00:17:03 away from, away. Let that sink in ocho we need you to study x amount away from the facility so we had never seen a contract written like that right right right and i don't know girl how you think how you think these these insiders work you thought that agent you thought that was going to be able to sneak by and nobody with the adam shepard or the jay glazers or all these insiders wasn't gonna get up mike florio's and all these guys they won't get a hold of that oh joe yeah a contract written like hey listen it made me it made me mad it made me mad the fact that they even had to put that in there for one because if he's a gamer, you have to think about this.
Starting point is 00:17:46 Kyler Murray didn't just start gaming. He didn't just start gaming. He's been good at his craft all his life. Once you get to the NFL, you understand what it took to get there. You understand the work and the time that it takes. And it's needed to be able to compete at the highest level and be a good quarterback. I think he understood that. And the fact that they even had to put it in there because it's a hobby of his that he enjoys doing and it's off time. There has to be some type of off time. But let me ask you a question.
Starting point is 00:18:15 Something you do outside of the game of football. Is it interfering with what you do, what we're paying you to do? Clearly they believed it was, Ocho, or they wouldn't have put it in there. If your weight is an issue, you ever had a weight clause in your contract? Yeah, I did. I did. I never had a weight clause in my contract either. Why?
Starting point is 00:18:36 Because I was too big. I was 230, and they said I was too big. I had to come on down. That's why. Think about it. They never put a clause, okay, Shannon, if you do off-season workouts, we're going to pay you half a million dollars because they knew I liked the workout. They're not going to put
Starting point is 00:18:50 things in your contract. They don't necessarily. So that tells me something was going. You do realize, Ocho, they can see how much film you watch. Yeah. They can tell when you watch it, how much you watch, how long you watch. Yeah. Yeah. They can tell when you watch it,
Starting point is 00:19:05 how much you watch, how long you watch for. I think, I think they caught on to that. I didn't think, I don't think the players realized that at first. Oh, cause you know,
Starting point is 00:19:16 you watch, you watch it on the iPad and they keep track of everything. Yeah. That's what I thought. We dive into the competitive world of streaming, how she's turning so-called niche into mainstream gold, connecting audiences with stories that truly make them feel seen.
Starting point is 00:21:52 What others dismiss as niche, we embrace as core. The term that we always hear from our audience is that they feel seen. Get a front row seat to where media, marketing, technology, entertainment, and sports collide. No. It became known as the Iran-Contra affair. And I'm not taking any more questions in just a second. I'm going to ask Attorney General. I'm Leon Nafok, co-creator of Slow Burn. In my podcast, Fiasco, Iran Contra,
Starting point is 00:23:07 you'll hear all the unbelievable details of a scandal that captivated the nation nearly 40 years ago, but which few of us still remember today. Muhammad Ali was never afraid to express himself loudly and boldly and stays true to form in Ali and Me, an eight-part Audible original. Guided by his own words, this series explores Ali's life and legacy through never-before-heard audio recordings and discussions with those who knew him best.
Starting point is 00:24:01 Muhammad had this real sense of his own personal values and principles, things he believed in, his own sense of conviction. Those convictions never wavered. Hosted by Muhammad's wife, Lani Ali, and his close friend, award-winning broadcaster, John Ramsey, Ali and Me goes beyond the boxing ring to delve deeply into Ali's extraordinary life through conversations with Billy Crystal, Mike Tyson, Rosie Perez, Common, Will Smith, and Bob Costas.
Starting point is 00:24:32 It created a North Star for me of how I want to be in the world, you know. As a child, as a young person, he gave credence to my audacity. There's no debate that this is the greatest global sports figure of our lifetime. Listen to Ali and me now on Audible. He could have been one of those quarterbacks that be out partying, turning up, having a good time, out on the weekends, doing everything, doing everything else. But hell, gaming? That's where they draw the line. We got to put some contract.
Starting point is 00:25:12 We can't have them gaming like this. They're asking him to watch film away from the stadium. Think about that, Ocho. They don't game. But what about, can you watch film as much as you gain? How much you making?
Starting point is 00:25:27 How much they paying you? Are you Ninja? Are you Booger? Are you Casanat? I'm just trying to figure out what's going on. I mean, you asking us to pay you $250 million. You know what's funny? You see how you just said that? See how they put that thing in Kyler Murray's contract
Starting point is 00:25:44 about him gaming? Now look at the landscape. Look at the lay of the land. Now you got players with podcasts. Yeah. Away from the stadium. Now you got players like my dog Sauce playing Call of Duty. Jamar Chase playing goddamn GTA.
Starting point is 00:26:01 These dudes are making big bucks but still able to be able to balance okay when it's time to work i'm ready to work and i get the job done but when i'm home you know that oh okay my bad oh oh joe you know it's a whole different animal playing that position. Yeah, different ballgame. You're right, you're right. I mean, you can do it. You know how that be.
Starting point is 00:26:30 Once you leave, you know how that be. You're already in there, 7 in the morning. Once you get 5 o'clock and you're done for the day, well, you want to clock out. And when you clock out, you want to clock out. Let me ask you a question. You think Peyton Manning clocked out? You think Tom Brady clocked out? You think Patrick Mahomes clocked out?
Starting point is 00:26:53 Oh, Mahomes be on the game too now. I ain't say he don't be on the game. I ain't say you couldn't be on the game. Okay, okay. Yeah, I know what you mean though. How much time is he on the game? Okay, that's a good one. See, when you left the huddle,
Starting point is 00:27:07 you didn't care if the line ripped the leads. You didn't care if they duel or molly. You don't care nothing about that. Right. That guy dang on quarterback better know. He better know if they're going to rip or lose or they're going to molly that. Right.
Starting point is 00:27:20 He better know. Okay, where am I hot at? You're like, hey, you outside of number. You're not hot. That's the slot receiver responsibility. Oh,
Starting point is 00:27:31 that's the back responsibility. There's so much on his plate. So much. Man, look here, bro. Man, this money.
Starting point is 00:27:43 I didn't even think about, man, what you're going to do when you... Man, I ain't thinking about retiring. I'm thinking about this. I'm trying to be the best football player I can be right now. But I ain't thinking about that. Bro, like I said, I just had a different mentality.
Starting point is 00:28:03 And I make no apologies. Hey, you be who you are. But, bro, I ain't going to lie to you, Ocho. It would have been hard for me to play in today's game because I don't think guys are serious about winning. Shit, boy, I'd be out here cutting a fool. I ain't wasting my time. My time is important, bro.
Starting point is 00:28:21 I put too much into it, Ocho. All this foolishness and that dilly-dally. Bro, I'm trying to win. I want to win. These guys don't want Ocho. The money has gotten so great, I don't believe guys want to win. I don't believe it's a burning desire and passion
Starting point is 00:28:38 because they let too much bull jive go. You see your teammate bull jive and you cool with it. Hell no. I ain't gonna never I was never cool with it. Especially if you a guy. Look if you one of these guys that ain't gonna play
Starting point is 00:28:52 hey but guys if you playing if I'm counting on you and you horse jiving around yeah all I'm gonna say when they ask me this is All I'm going to say, when they ask me, this is what I'm going to do. I ain't
Starting point is 00:29:10 going to say nothing. Yeah, you wouldn't work in today's game, Unc. You're too goddamn serious, bro. I want to win, Ocho. I know you want to win. You could win, but you ain't got to be too serious. You're supposed to be running for election or some shit. You can't be playing today's game.
Starting point is 00:29:25 I know that about me. I know that about me. I do. I do. I know that about me. Because winning, that's all I cared about. That's all. The only thing I cared about was winning.
Starting point is 00:29:37 You can still enjoy yourself, Uncle. You can still enjoy yourself. It lets you head out and have fun and win at the same time. I enjoyed winning. I enjoyed preparing to win. And I was miserable when I lost. I was miserable to be around when I lost. A lot of times
Starting point is 00:29:54 my girlfriend would go home when I lost. Okay, babe, I know you don't want to be bothered tonight. I'm sorry. I'll see you tomorrow. God damn, huh? I put too much time into those jokes because you know why?
Starting point is 00:30:10 The more time you invest in something, the more it hurts. That's why people, you see people when they invested a lot in a relationship, 10, 15 years, and it hurts. I'm sending flowers. I'm writing. I'm not saying me, but I'm saying they're sending flowers they're writing they're buying
Starting point is 00:30:26 gifts because they don't want it to end because they're invested and then you see people they go on like I wouldn't even with that person because they didn't give a damn from the beginning they weren't investing when you invest in something it hurts
Starting point is 00:30:41 I don't care what it is when you put time in it, when you invest it, man, please. No, everything ain't for everybody. Everything's not for everybody, Ocho. Broncos offensive lineman
Starting point is 00:30:59 Mike McGlitchy was asked about Bo Nix being named starting quarterback. Bo has come in and been authentically himself. And I think that's all you can ask for him. He doesn't have to be somebody that he's not just because he's a superstar quarterback of an NFL franchise. What'd you take from that, Ocho? Man, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:31:19 I don't know what motherfucking McGlinchey talking about. I only, I don't like the subliminal. What you saying you don't know what he's talking about. Listen. He doesn't have to be somebody that he's not just because he's a superstar quarterback of an NFL franchise. You just told me you didn't know what he was talking about.
Starting point is 00:31:37 What is the point of saying all that? You do know what he's talking about. So you do know what he was talking about. Yeah, but listen. So what are's talking about. So you do know what he was talking about. Yeah, but listen. So what are you talking about, Ocho? Hold on. I don't know. But you just said sublimity.
Starting point is 00:31:52 Yeah, that's what it sounds like to me. Okay, what is subliminal? So a subliminal message is a message that you understand, but he gave it to you subliminally. So what is he saying? He ain't putting no name on it. Okay, no, no, no. So you can't use subliminal, B,
Starting point is 00:32:05 because you don't know what he's talking about. Okay. Yeah, I don't know what he's talking about, but I don't like what he said. I got it. I don't like the way he said it because the person...
Starting point is 00:32:13 What did he say? Hold on, the person he talked... But listen, he said... He tried... He acting like my dog, Russell Wilson, wasn't being his other fucking self. You said you didn't know
Starting point is 00:32:23 what he was talking about. I'm putting words in the goddamn context. You said you couldn't say that because you didn't mention no name. Officer lineman Mike McGlinchey. Russell Wilson been Russell Wilson since day one. Russell Wilson been Russell Wilson a God-fearing man
Starting point is 00:32:39 since he was at Wisconsin. So he's always been his way. He's always carried himself the same way. So I'm confused. When this way. He's always carried himself the same way. So I'm confused. When he was in Seattle, he carried himself the same way. And what was the problem the Seahawks teammates had with him?
Starting point is 00:32:55 You do know. You do know. I wasn't in love with him. What I was saying, Ocho, you've heard, sir. You've heard my show list. You've heard others. Don't do that, Ocho.
Starting point is 00:33:04 Don't do that don't do that what they said we ain't gonna go by this you don't know but you know what we're saying so why you keep saying he was himself they had the same thing to say about it in Seattle that they said about him in Denver so you're absolutely right
Starting point is 00:33:19 he was himself but how many people believe that was who he was? Well, obviously, you can listen. I like that. I like where you went right there. I like where you went there. So if you only show one side of yourself, right?
Starting point is 00:33:37 I've only seen one side of him. No. I've only seen one side of him. From what I heard and from the players that I talked to what he was when he got there and what he became was two different people. Ah, now see, I wasn't around there for that. See, I wasn't around there for that. I was I was I was with Russell Wilson at Bible study. That's the Russell Wilson.
Starting point is 00:34:00 I don't know what he was at Bible study. I don't know what it was school. I don't know what it was. Right. I'm just saying what was relayed to me that people that played there. Right. What people that played with him in Denver
Starting point is 00:34:14 and people that were close. I don't need to get look. Everybody. I know. That's the beauty of life. That's the beauty of life. At some point, at time, as we grow, as we mature, we evolve. Sometimes we evolve for the better.
Starting point is 00:34:35 Sometimes we evolve for the worse. Some people aren't going to be okay with your growth. And they might speak on that in a negative tone or in a positive tone. Sometime who you are, you know what? I don't like the way he is. There's nothing you can do about that because your change, your growth, and your willingness to evolve might rub other people the wrong way. But it's about what you want to do.
Starting point is 00:35:01 Mike Zimmer is back in Dallas, Ochoa, where he first began his NFL career. The former Vikings head coach reflected on his fine, but rather than sharing some lessons learned from his mistakes, he seemed to blame his players. They asked me if I wanted to address the team. I said, hell no. They got me fired. Zimmer, who admitted he hold grudges, says
Starting point is 00:35:20 he's not watched one Minnesota game since. They'll say, They asked me if I wanted to address the team. I said, no, hell no. They got me fired. Hey, listen, you know, there is a saying. There is a saying in the NFL and coaches notice behind closed doors. Players can get you hired,
Starting point is 00:35:48 players can get you fired. For sure. Players can get you paid. Players can get you paid too now. You know, so I understand where Zim is coming from, but normally you don't hear that coming from a coach.
Starting point is 00:35:58 If you know Zim, you do. Normally you won't say, hey, hey, yeah, hey, boy, Zim coach. You know, Zim was the defensive coordinator in Cincinnati now I know I know I know how he is
Starting point is 00:36:07 but that's funny that's funny to hear you know coming from coach being truthful being authentically himself and really not biting his tongue or changing
Starting point is 00:36:15 you know what he wanted to say hell that motherfucking got me fired and standing on business about that I love accountability Ocho
Starting point is 00:36:22 you know I'm big on accountability and it's easy a lot of times to blame the coaches, but at some point in time, players got to go play. Yeah, they got to. There's only so much coaching you can do. There's only
Starting point is 00:36:33 so much coaching you can do. There are only so many X's and O's that you can do. It better be them damn Jims and Joes. Damn them X's and O's. It's them Jims and Joes. Jims and Joes. Hey, you draw that up there, anytime you draw X's and O's on the
Starting point is 00:36:49 blackboard, they don't move. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. It's up to the players to go out there and execute it. Coach asked me all the time, hey, 84, why'd you do that? I said, because when you drew it up on the board, that X didn't move.
Starting point is 00:37:05 I got on the field, he was moving all over the damn plate. So I think I had to adjust. Yeah. Yeah. Man, he's crazy about his mom. Hell no. Hell no. They got me fired.
Starting point is 00:37:19 But Zim's funny, man. Man. The Eagles are entering a new era without Jason Kelsey. Not only was Kelsey the primary leader in the locker room, but also someone who had handled duties on the offense. In fact, he handled some things Jalen Hurst didn't have to. But that all changes this year. Hurst said the eagerness to learn was halted due to Kelsey's expertise.
Starting point is 00:37:42 So, you know, a lot of times, you know, we saw a couple of times Kelsey and Hurts disagreeing. Kelsey wanted his protection to go one way. Hurts thought it should go another way. Now, you know, Kelsey being who he was, being the leader, being in the locker room, being a very senior guy, Hurts felt he needed to fall back, but no longer.
Starting point is 00:38:06 We had a great player, Jason Kelsey, who took a lot of responsibility as a result of that. I was told not to worry about a lot of things. And so my eagerness to learn over the years
Starting point is 00:38:15 kind of was halted. But now times are different. Ocho, what are you expecting from Hertz? Hertz? I like it. I like it. I like it.
Starting point is 00:38:24 I like the fact that he wants to know. But you know, it's a lot to learn when it comes to the center position. The center position is the goddamn glue that holds that line together. It all goes and starts with the center position.
Starting point is 00:38:40 So now the fact that Hurts will also know the calls that are made. A lot of he's going to be making it because they turned it. That was Kelsey. Remember what he said? He said, hey, don't you? But they turned it over to Hurst. That was Kelsey.
Starting point is 00:38:53 Don't worry about it. Let Jason handle it. So he's ripping Liz. He's making it so, okay, we're going to molly. We're going to duel it. How, you know, what are we going to do here? Yeah. Now he's the senior guy. They got a a new center he says it's on my show yeah and i'm eager yeah to learn
Starting point is 00:39:12 yeah i'm sure he's going to be fine listen his plate has become just that much more full now you have to take on a much bigger load you already you already have enough to worry about as a quarterback when you come to the line of scrimmage, obviously, you know, pointing out the mic, watching the safety, pointing at the safety, being able to understand the hot reads, knowing what's going on. So he has a lot to learn and a lot on his plate.
Starting point is 00:39:36 But I think Hurst is going to be fine. It comes with the territory of playing the quarterback position. It just does. That's why it commands the kind of money it does as well because you have so much to worry about. But I think he's going to be fine, especially the game of football hadn't changed.
Starting point is 00:39:51 He'd been playing the game of football for a very long time. Defenses haven't changed. It's just a lot of them you have to know. A lot of them you have to learn about. I think it'd be okay. If you go back and look
Starting point is 00:40:03 at some of the NFL films, you saw one of the arguments that Peyton and Jeff Saturday got into it about, about who's going to call it. And Peyton was like, hey, shut the bleep up. I'm going to call it. They're going back and forth. Because a lot of times with guys like Peyton, they're like,
Starting point is 00:40:18 no, no, no, no, no. I got this. Because if you miss this call, I get hit in the back of my head. If I get hit in the back of my head and I make a call, I can live with that. If I get hit in the back of my head and you make a call, I'm going to put my foot in your ass. Your ass, yeah. So I'm not surprised by this.
Starting point is 00:40:35 Jalen Hurts lost 60 of his last seven starts after starting 29-4 in his previous 33, including the playoffs. Hurts still has a very good, no, including the playoffs. Hurst still has an important and a very good, no, great supporting cast, A.J. Brown, Devontae Smith, and now Saquon Barkley. And they just traded for Johan Dawson. Johan, yes go, boy. Ocho, check this out.
Starting point is 00:40:58 They got a nice three-headed muster over there. Another day, another non-basketball play on Kaitlyn Clark. The Sky have committed more than their sharebasketball play on Kaitlyn Clark. The Sky have committed more than their share of hard fouls on Kaitlyn Clark. Diamond DeShields got into the action on Friday. She fouled Clark twice in a span of 40 seconds in the fourth quarter of the Fever's 181
Starting point is 00:41:16 victory and later knocking her down. The play was ruled flagrant one. DeShields giving Clark two free throws. Clark made both free throws, reached a career high 31 points for the game 30 points 12 assists also hold on
Starting point is 00:41:32 for the first game and also the record for the first 30 point 12 assists game in WNBA history Ocho 17% of the WNBA's flagrant fouls this season have been committed against Kaitlyn Clark. Ocho,
Starting point is 00:41:48 17% of the WNBA flagrant fouls have been committed against Clark. The Chicago Sky were responsible for 80% of the flagrant fouls committed against Clark. But you know what, Ocho? It's the
Starting point is 00:42:04 great white high. There's nothing, Shannon. You just want to support that white girl. She busts in y'all ass. Hey, there's the women. I ain't gonna call y'all name. Y'all had a lot to say. Y'all even tagged me. Why y'all tagging me? Somebody say something to y'all.
Starting point is 00:42:20 Y'all tagged me. I ain't calling names. I don't get into it. I ain't petty like that. But, hey, ladies, when people say things to you guys, I don't think you should be what they say, call you all kind of names. I don't believe nobody should be called out of their names. But I don't know why when somebody addressed y'all, y'all feel y'all need to tag me.
Starting point is 00:42:46 They're addressing y'all. If theyall need to tag me they're addressing y'all if they want to address me they would address me y'all keep me out of this y'all keep me out of this y'all said what y'all said but I'm just trying to figure why y'all lump me in the no no they talking to y'all they talking to me y'all try to make me y'all
Starting point is 00:43:04 if you like Kaylaaitlyn clark you gotta hate angel and if you hate if you love angel you can't say anything good about caitlyn clark y'all can't tell me what the f to say i'm gonna say what i want to say yeah now back to my originally scheduled program caitlyn clark doing the thing on the whole show. She had that cutting up now. She had that cutting up. Listen, you notice how the season, as the season has gone on, how she got a little bit more comfortable. She got a little bit more better. What about these women
Starting point is 00:43:35 that followed their coach? I thought they would know that. I thought they would know. The way they talk about it, one of them coach, they cover the game, they got podcasts, and they cover all these sports. Now all of a sudden, I stand. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:43:54 She's sharp on both sides. Cutting ass left and right. Yeah. She playing good ball. She playing good basketball. I hate to see if she playing great. She playing good basketball. I hate to see if she playing great. She playing good basketball. Listen,
Starting point is 00:44:08 hands head off to Kaitlyn Clark. She playing some damn good basketball. But she's a good player, Ojo. And if you set aside the fact that, look, people giving her credit
Starting point is 00:44:23 and I get it, situation, and situation and hey well what about all these old heads they did bro what about all the old heads that never got the love and admiration that michael jordan got when he came in the league right that happens as time goes on guess what 20 years from now somebody's gonna get credit credit that LeBron James didn't get. It happens. Don't be resentful of it. Embrace it. I get it.
Starting point is 00:44:54 But I'm just trying to figure out how 17% of the flagrant... Ocho, if unnecessary roughness happened to one player 17% of the time, that's not an anomaly. That's not an outlier. Yeah, that's not... That ain't no coincidence, huh?
Starting point is 00:45:10 No? Hmm. I don't know. The coincidence is not a coincidence. Right. Ocho, if you get five speeding tickets in a year, they ain't picking on you. You just drive fast.
Starting point is 00:45:30 That's what that is. That's what that is. That's what that is. Starting point is 00:52:26 Cozy on beating South Carolina State today. I'm so happy, man. I'm so happy. You ever had any beaver? You ever ate any beaver? Nah, you don't eat beavers. Yeah, you do. What you be
Starting point is 00:52:41 talking about? You be trying to get me to do it. You do eat beaver. You can't eat no be Nah, you can't. You can't eat no beaver. Yeah, you can. Yeah, yeah, think about it. Now, when you drive to your coffee, yeah, I eat a mean beaver. No, no, I don't eat no beaver.
Starting point is 00:53:00 Yeah, you eat beavers. I don't eat no beavers. You done ate plenty of beavers. Nah, not them kind of beavers. Nah, not them kind of beavers. Nah, not them kind of beavers. Yeah, I'm retired. I'm retired from that. I'm retired from that.

Starting point is 00:53:29 It's the damn... That's what they do. Hey, yo, what was the conversation like between you and John Cena off camera? He used to be my favorite wrestler growing up in Ocho. Want to know his comment session and undisputed, LOL.
Starting point is 00:53:44 He was great. He came in. I think he had some water. He got water to drink. He didn't eat anything, did he? Did John eat anything? Just had water. He got some water, sat down, got made up.
Starting point is 00:53:58 He had a hard out time. So that lets me know that, okay, they tell me he got a hard out time. I got to make sure I'm tight. Try to ask the questions that I think the viewing and listening audience want to hear John Cena. And so, but he was great. He was really gay, really engaged. Complimented, said, man, you really do a great job. I've watched your show. I can tell you do. You and your team do a great job of doing your homework and knowing the guests that means a lot for for cj and his team and myself the kind of work that we go in and prep to make sure we try
Starting point is 00:54:30 to make the guests feel as comfortably as we possibly can we try to have hair and makeup if they need it a lot of times they bring their own hair and makeup people we try to have food there for them to eat uh water whatever they ask they you know they give us a writer which lets us know okay they write down, okay, what do you want? You want orange juice? You want apple juice, pineapple juice, grapefruit juice? You want sparkling?
Starting point is 00:54:51 You want steel? You want what type of product you want? Is there anything? We try to have that there for Mocho, but he was great. And all the guests, all the guests, for me, I haven't had a bad guest. Some guests are more talkative than others. All the guests, for me, I haven't had a bad guest. Some guests are more talkative than others. Normally, they come in, they say, hey, man, hey, thanks for having me on.
Starting point is 00:55:12 Or she'll say the same thing, thanks for having me on. They give me a hug. I let them do what they need to do. Hey, they be ready to go. But John was unbelievable. He was an unbelievable guest. Rodney Diggins, what up, Rob? Do you remember when you ate Georgia Southern up?
Starting point is 00:55:26 Yeah, I do. They beat us. They beat us, but I beat them, Ocho. I did. That was the year they won. As a matter of fact, that was my last. That was 89. They ended up winning the national championship that year.
Starting point is 00:55:39 They started, you know, Ocho, they wasn't going to let us come down there and beat them. But I hit them up, Ocho. Yeah, I hit them up. This is how you know somebody hit you up. Their head coach used to be the Georgia Bulldogs defensive coordinator, Irk Russell. Right. And the year they won the national championship,
Starting point is 00:55:52 he was the defensive coordinator when they won. He was the head coach at Georgia Southern. I did such a phenomenal job. At the end of the game, walked to the middle of the field, he gave me a victory cigar. Hey. Now, think about what I just said. They beat us, and he gave me the victory cigar.
Starting point is 00:56:14 So you was out there cutting that, huh? Yeah, I hit him up for nine for 202. God damn. I had like an 80 yarder call back. I would have gotten over 300. I had 300. I'd have had over 300. I'd have had over 300. I hit him up for 91.
Starting point is 00:56:27 That might be the longest touchdown in that stadium. I hit him up for 91. Had to grab, you know, hit him up. Okay, okay. Hit him up for O'Shea. Hey, man. What's up, Ocho? Jason Cisse, didn't rise
Starting point is 00:56:43 to use and stick him. Does that affect his legacy? Ocho, does that affect his legacy? Nah, hell nah. You talking about Rice, huh? Nah, hell nah. I ain't think about that. He was so great. I'm not sure why he was just at the time. I think
Starting point is 00:56:59 he wasn't the only one doing it. He just might have been the one that got in court. But, listen, to put up the numbers. He did that. Goddamn statement. He got shit to do with that. Clayton Johnson said, I can know Joe been a Bronco fans.
Starting point is 00:57:11 It's Elway at water sharp and TD. Today is my 39th birthday. Can you give me a shout out for my children? Ryland, Rory Reese Johnson. I really appreciate it. Hey, Clayton,

So Clayton, happy 39th birthday to you, Ryland, Rory, and Reese. Your dad wanted to shout you out.
Starting point is 00:57:43 Hope you guys are well, doing great in school, and make mom and dad proud. Tommy said, Ocho did a great job inside the NFL yesterday. Hey. NFL matchup highlight. Ocho, what do you think about the guys in the short, high-end prime years making Hall of Fame? Guys like Sterling Sharp, Nande,
Starting point is 00:58:05 Asimov and Cam Chancellor. Cam played? How long did Cam play? I'm not sure. I think Cam played a decade. That ain't no short career. My brother played seven years
Starting point is 00:58:21 and at the time he retired, I think Jerry was the only one that had that many catches in a seven-year span. Also, Jerry was the one that had – oh, Cam played eight years? Yeah. Yeah, Cam's style, physical, it was really not conducive for playing long-term. I mean, that collision, yeah. Long-term, yeah. Yeah. for playing long term. I mean, that collision, yeah. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:49 I think if guys, I don't know, like, I don't know Cam's stats, so I don't know how many all pros. I don't know how many pro bowls. I do know he won a Super Bowl and I think he was injured and just got injured in the second. Maybe he got injured in the second.
Starting point is 00:59:06 I'm not really sure. He went to four. Ashley putting it up here now. He went to four Pro Bowls, no All-Pros. I mean, I think three Pro Bowls gets you on the ballot. I think, Ocho, don't quote me on this, Ocho, but I think I know Nnamdi had some years where he was unbelievable with the Raiders, but then he went to Philly
Starting point is 00:59:26 and then everything that he did to the Raiders, he damn near erased when he was in Philly. Because he got cooked. He got cooked. Aaron Knight, 26 Aaron Knight, 26 said, Ocho, is Burrow winning the Super Bowl this year for us?
Starting point is 00:59:45 Who? Joey B. Is he winning the Super Bowl this year for us? Who? Joey B, is he winning the Super Bowl for you guys? Hey, but listen, we have a great chance. We have a great chance to go to the Super Bowl. And I'm telling you, it would be an amazing story. But one, we got to take care of business first. We got to get Chase paid. We got to get Chase paid.
Starting point is 01:00:02 We need Burrow to stay healthy. If we get Chase paid, we have Bur to stay healthy if we get Chase paid we have Burrow stay healthy with that supporting cast on offense man we gonna be alright but we gonna be nasty we gonna be alright so I'm excited I'm excited for us good luck with that I hope y'all I hope y'all have a great season
Starting point is 01:00:17 but long y'all don't play the Ravens long y'all don't beat the Ravens or the Broncos I don't care what else y'all do hey we gonna beat the Ravens that the Broncos. I don't care what else y'all do. Hey, we're going to beat the Ravens. That ain't happening. Twice. That ain't happening. All right. That ain't happening. Has Joey B ever beat Lamar?
Starting point is 01:00:34 Maybe once. Yeah, I think we won in three against him since Joey got there. What makes you think it's going to change this year? It's 2024. That's okay. It's 2024. Listen, okay. It's 2024. And listen, when it comes to guessing games,
Starting point is 01:00:48 when it comes to guessing games and tell you who's going to win based on matchups or scoreline, I'm the one to come to. I'm the one. People that gamble in Vegas come to me. If they want to lose their money, they do.
