The Lakers are the eighth seed, and they will face the Pelicans on Tuesday night
Starting point is 00:02:13 after they go on the road and close out the season in great fashion. They beat the Pelicans, and they'll be the eighth seed. They're number eight. They'll play the Pelicans, who are the seventh seed, and the game will be played Tuesday. you watch your uh uh whoever wins this game will be the number seven seed and they'll face the nuggets whoever loses plays the winner of the 910 and that matchup will be the eighth seed and they'll play the okc thunder hmm you know what's funny listen even if i don't know the game of basketball i understand this is a very important series for
Starting point is 00:02:53 the lakers right but i don't even think it's going to be about lebron i don't even think it's going to be about ad i think it's going to be about the supporting cast so for you i'm gonna ask you who do you think would be a bigger factor in the Lakers game? Would it be Austin Reeves or would it be D'Angelo Russell? Or a combination of both? Because they got, I think those two got to play well, or one of the two got to play extremely well
Starting point is 00:03:15 and be able to keep up with the production of LeBron and AD. Man, look, the Lakers, when AD and LeBron, I'm counting on AD and LeBron to be AD and LeBron and AD. Man, look. The Lakers, when AD and LeBron, I'm counting on AD and LeBron to be AD and LeBron. We saw those guys the other night against Memphis,
Starting point is 00:03:33 and they had to go play damn near 40 minutes against the Grizzlies G League team. But I like that kid, Jackson. He had another monster game today. But when Austin Reeves and D-Lo, especially D-Lo shooting those threes because he can play the pick and roll he's tremendous and then you know you want to help on ad and then he gets to let those three balls go so this is twice that we played they played
Starting point is 00:03:58 the pelicans uh in the play in the uh in-season tournament and blew them out played them again today and blew them out now theyed him again today and blew him out. Now they're going to have to go back to Newark. Well, they're not going back. They're going to stay there. Got to play. I just like the matchup. I think the Lakers match up very, very well against them. They have no answer for LeBron.
Starting point is 00:04:17 They have no answer for AD. The question is that B.I. was on a minutes restriction. The question is he just got back. How much they might throw caution to the wind and say B.I. was on a minutes restriction. The question is, he just got back. How much... They might throw caution to the wind and say, B.I., go until you can't go. But then maybe they're just like,
Starting point is 00:04:31 no, we need you for the long haul. Zion did not have a good game today. I think he's going to come out and try to be more aggressive. LeBron did a great job on him. Hey, I'm going to concede anything 15 feet out, you shoot it. You have it. I ain't't gonna let you
Starting point is 00:04:45 i ain't let you get to this basket so that that mean that mean basically obviously is the clock ticking on zion williamson also to take that next step and play at a high level especially in the playoffs well he but listen here's the thing oh joe he played look there's no question when he's on the court he's a wrecking ball. Athletic, quick, give you 20, you know, average 25, probably 25, six, and seven. Yeah. You'd probably like to see those rebounds go up.
Starting point is 00:05:17 But he, I think he had what, like, he had like eight or nine assists today. So he's a pretty good job. I've seen him at times run the offense through him. His biggest thing is staying on the court health wise health wise he's got to control he's got to control his weight right he can control his weight he's he's he's a phenomenal talent he's a more athletic charles barker that's what he is right now people don, people don't realize, I mean, you know, they see Charles and they think that's all he was.
Starting point is 00:05:48 Charles led the league in rebounding at 6'4". Mm-hmm. That's Charles Barkley. Right. So he could be that. He should be that. Right. If he keep his weight under control.
Starting point is 00:06:01 But I like the way he's played this year. He's a phenomenal talent. Everybody. He's a phenomenal talent. Everybody knows he's a phenomenal talent. But I got the Lakers. And now, all things being equal, would I be disappointed if the Lakers lost and then won the 8-9 matchup? Nope.
Starting point is 00:06:18 Because that means they get the thunder. And I think they match up better against the thunder than they do Nuggets. Wait, wait. Shot don't scare you? No? No. Nikola Jokic scared me.
Starting point is 00:06:34 Jamal Murray. They're as good as anybody in clutch situations. Last five minutes game within five points, Nikola Jokic is a monster. Jamal Murray knows when game time and he can take the game over. Michael Porter Jr. can make timely big shot after big shot after big shot. And they've been there and
Starting point is 00:06:51 done that. OKC has yet to be there, yet to get there and do that. So I'm always going to take a team that's been there and done that. And you're talking about the MVP, Nicola Jokic. So yeah, they put fear in everybody. But if I'm the Lakers have played well the last couple of games,
Starting point is 00:07:10 so the Lakers and the Warriors get into play and the T-Wolves, 3-6 matchup, they get the Suns, they lost the Suns, they could have been the second. If they'd have won, they'd have been the two seed, right? If they'd have won today. Yeah, they'd have been the two seed, but that's where they are right now. The Easter...
Starting point is 00:07:29 Yeah, all the Nuggets had to do was beat the Spurs, but Wimby goes crazy on Friday night. The number one seed is the Boston Celtics. They're 64-18. The Knicks in overtime secure the number two seed. The Bucs are the three seed. Cleveland, the four seed. Orlando, the five seed, Pacers six.
Starting point is 00:07:49 And so the play-in is Sixers, Miami for the right to play the Knicks, and then the Chicago and Atlanta for the right to play Boston. I'm finna watch. I'm finna watch. I'm finna watch. I'm finna watch. I'm finna watch. I'm finna watch. I'm finna lock in. I'm gonna take me notes when they playing, so I'm gonna be able to talk about it. Shoot.
Starting point is 00:08:11 The Knicks. I like the Knicks. Hey, Jalen Brunson be balling. If Joel Embiid, with Joel Embiid, if he can stay healthy in this series, that's a big if, because he missed, what, two months with that knee.
Starting point is 00:08:27 With Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, Kelly Oubre Jr., and what's the other guy's name? Tobias Harris? Yeah. I like them against the Knicks. I like them against the Knicks. I do. I do. I believe the Knicks.
Starting point is 00:08:44 I believe the Sixers are going to beat Miami. I do. I know. I believe the Knicks. I believe the Sixers are going to beat Miami. I do. I know. I know. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Simmer down. Simmer down a little bit. Bam, Jimmy Butler, Tyler Hero.
Starting point is 00:08:54 We got Baby Jesus. I call him Baby Jesus, the young rookie from UCLA. Oh, oh, oh, Jaime Hawkins. Yeah, yeah. I call him Baby Jesus. Don't just come in and think they just finna come through, come out down here in Miami and just...
Starting point is 00:09:07 No, but y'all play them in Philly. Well, we gonna beat them in Philly too. What you talking about? It's the heat. It's Jimmy Butler. Playoff time. Look at Jimmy Butler's stats in the regular season
Starting point is 00:09:20 and what he does in his playoff time. He's phenomenal. He's phenomenal in the postseason. What make you think we're going to go into Philly and have a Philly cheese steak, man? Stop playing.
Starting point is 00:09:29 And that's no disrespect to my Philly people because I know y'all. You know I love you. No, too late. Too late. It's disrespect. It's disrespect.
Starting point is 00:09:35 No, because the people in Philly love me. They good. They know I mean no harm. And Atlanta and Chicago for the right to play the Boston Celtics. I think that'll be quick work in that situation.
Starting point is 00:09:49 But I mean the last week, I haven't liked what I've seen from the Celtics. What's wrong with them? They ain't consistent. Here's the thing Ojo. This team takes and they makes a lot of threes.
Starting point is 00:10:04 So a lot of what that is contingent on is taking and making threes right and you know you can get hot and make a bunch of shoot and when you but you call you cold and you call but here's the thing sometimes they race out the big leads they keep shooting threes and they let the other and they shoot themselves right into a situation where the team is right back in the ballgame. Right, right. So, I mean, but they're, I mean, you look at Tatum and you look at Przingas, you look at JB, Derek White. I mean, they got guys, Pritchard
Starting point is 00:10:33 coming off the bench. They got, they got, they got a solid, Big Al, Al Horford. They got a solid squad. But sometimes you look at them like, bro, bro, how y'all blow a 23-point lead? How y'all blow a 26-point lead? Damn.
Starting point is 00:10:49 The game of basketball is a game of runs. It's a game of runs. It's funny how when I do watch it, the times I do watch it, a team can go on a run and all of a sudden the run ends and other team is back in the game only down by two
Starting point is 00:11:06 and then the runs go on again that three ball god damn that three ball because you're never out of a game because the thing is ocho you go you go a couple of minutes without making a shot right a team can make four or five threes and a lead that was 21 is now all of a sudden down to six or five. And you're like, because I mean, everybody has somebody on their roster that can get scorching hot from three and shoot you right back in the game. Everybody has that one person on the team. Everybody. Some teams have multiple players on their team that can get hot from three right and you're right back in the ball game so the series is going to be very very interested i'm excited to
Starting point is 00:11:50 see uh the nick the lakers take on the pelicans and golden state take on the sacramento kids tiger woods finished the masters at 16 over 304 a career worse despite posting his highest round of the master's career uh and a 72-hole score as a professional event. Tiger Woods said return to Augusta National Golf Club was good. Woods' 72-hole total, 16 over, 304, was last among the 60 golfers who made the 36-hole cut. It was a good week. It was a good week all around.
Starting point is 00:12:20 I think coming here and not having a full tournament for a very long time, it was a good fight on Thursday, Friday. Unfortunately, yesterday didn't quite turn out the way I wanted it to. Today, the Tom Kite is playing. I thought I had in my system. Unfortunately, it didn't produce it. Ocho. Yes, sir.
Starting point is 00:12:42 Tiger had, that was 2019 when he had that miraculous run right but what's different now is that tiger can't put the time in during the course of the week because his body right won't allow it and so what happens is is that because he's not used to walking so that first day he feels pretty good. Yes, sir. The second day, damn, it's kind of like when you work out that first day, you're like, man, this felt good. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:13 But then guess what happened the next day? You're like, damn, I'm a little sore. Right. And then the next day, you feel even like, and that's what happens to Tiger. He feels good the first day, second day. But then that third day, all that walking, all that swinging, what he hasn't been. Like you said, he hadn't played a tournament golf. Well, since last, I mean, that tournament that he played, what he played in the Bahamas or somewhere. But he hadn't had played tournament golf in a year.
Starting point is 00:13:38 Yeah. And his body, he almost lost his life. Yeah. So with the back surgeries, the Achilles, the knee surgeries, the mind is willing. The body just isn't able. Yeah. And listen, when you think about the sport of golf, it's a sport that all ages can play. All ages can play.
Starting point is 00:13:59 All ages are able. But again, the injuries are taking a toll on him. Now, I think as we discussed before, I think he needs to go back to his old ways of doing what Tiger did in his approach and what he did away from the game of golf, and I think it
Starting point is 00:14:17 will get him back into a groove into being what we're used to seeing on the green. He can't hunch like that no more. It doesn't matter. He can't hunch like that no more. It doesn't matter. He can't get the hump of his back no more, Ocho. I'm telling you, Unc, when you try to do too much, when you try to change too much of who you are to appease the masses,
Starting point is 00:14:37 it takes something away from you. It just takes them away from you. And I think we will never see the Tiger Woods of old until the Tiger Woods of old goes never see the Tiger Woods of old until the Tiger Woods of old goes back to the Tiger Woods of old. Did you hear what I just said? I see what you're saying. But now we just see it.
Starting point is 00:14:52 No, you said, will we ever see the Tiger of old? No, we're just going to see an old tiger. That's what we're going to see, Ocho. That's fine. That's fine. Even an old tiger attracts the viewers and attracts the audience.
Starting point is 00:15:06 Yeah, I mean, the great thing that he was able to make the cut, he got to stay around for the weekend. Right. You know, they're going to show clips because he is tiger.
Starting point is 00:15:13 But, I mean, when you, I mean, Ocho, just think, as you start to get old and all you can do is just go play the game. Mm-hmm. You can't, I mean,
Starting point is 00:15:22 so, I mean, you can chip, you can putt, but you got you got to walk yeah and he can't walk his body won't let him do that right and on on a consistent basis so now all of a sudden i mean if you know how hard it is to play when you got back hurt knee shoulder hurt, elbow hurt. Like, damn. Yeah, it's unfortunate, man. It's unfortunate. It is.
Starting point is 00:15:50 It is. I mean, but you know what? Hey, he had to run like no other golfer has ever had. We won't see it again. No, not like that. Not like that. We won't see it again. No. Nope.
Starting point is 00:16:03 That ain't happening, though, Joe. Not like that. In UFC 300, Max Holloway produced one of the most... You forgot about the winner of the Masters. Oh, Sheffler? Yeah. Oh, Scotty. Yeah, that's my boy.
Starting point is 00:16:20 I played... Congratulations, Scotty. Oh, let me guess. You beat him. You beat him in a round of golf. No, I ain't beat him. You know, I used to train to Scotty. Oh, let me guess, you beat him. No, I ain't beat him. You know, I used to train with Scotty. You know, I used to do a little golf with him at times. Me and Scotty Scheffler, before he won the Masters,
Starting point is 00:16:34 before he won the Masters, we played at Pebble Beach in California. You said Scotty Scheffler or Adam Schefter? Scotty Scheffler. Scotty and I, I played 18 holes with Scotty at Pebble Beach in California. Listen, the front nine, I shot a 67 on the front nine with Scotty before. I know, front nine, that ain't good, though. But okay, go ahead. That's a 134.
Starting point is 00:16:56 That's terrible. Man, listen, I'm playing against one of the best to ever play. So you got to understand the pressure that was on me. But here's the thing, though, Ocho. This is why you don't know the pressure that was on me. But here's the thing, Ocho. This is why you don't know the thing about golf because you don't play the competitor,
Starting point is 00:17:08 you play the courts. I know. I'm just saying I'm trying to outdo him. That's what you're not understanding. For the front nine, I shot a 67.
Starting point is 00:17:15 That was pretty goddamn good. No, it's not. How you going to tell me? You do realize that's seven strokes a hole. And some of the holes are par threes. You do realize that. So strokes a hole. And some of the holes are par threes. You do realize that. So you're not
Starting point is 00:17:27 only bogey, you're quad bogey. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. I'm at Pebble Beach, boy. It's one of the hardest golf courses I've ever played. I'm just saying 67 on the front nine is not good. That's a 134 total. It was good for me.
Starting point is 00:17:44 I don't golf. I'm a boxer. I like soccer and I. It was good for me. I don't golf. I'm a boxer. I like soccer and I play tennis. But for me, I was out there with Scotty. Scotty, I know you're going to see this baby. Congratulations on winning the masses today. If you want to get out there,
Starting point is 00:17:54 man, you want to hit again while you got some time off, man, let me know, man. Uh, congratulations as well on that green jacket. But yeah,
Starting point is 00:18:01 that's not what I do. Okay. Uh, I'll beat you. We don't, we don't do that. Don't do that. not what I do. Okay. I'll beat you. No, no, no. Don't do that. Don't do that. You probably play golf. You probably play golf like Charles Barkley. You probably play golf
Starting point is 00:18:13 like Charles Barkley. You want to play putt-putt? We can play putt-putt. No, no, no. Listen, I'm out there. If I'm going to do it, I'm going to do it seriously. I got the whole outfit. I got my golf clubs. I don't play now. I can some golf in ufc 300 max holloway produced one of the most shocking and most one of the most violent moments in octagon history with a mere 10 seconds on the clock he summons justin
Starting point is 00:18:38 gaethje stand in the pocket let's go and he's staying in the pocket and Let's go. And he's staying in the pocket. And with one second on the clock, Holloway catches him. Face plant. Yeah, and you gotta be careful. You gotta keep your hands up. UFC president, UFC CEO Dana White called it one of the greatest moments in the company's history.
Starting point is 00:19:01 I get it. I mean, Gaethje felt he was behind. I ain't got nothing to lose. But, I thought, what about strategy? I thought normally when you go to,
Starting point is 00:19:09 you got strategy. When you stand in the pocket, you ain't got no strategy. You just, uh-oh, whoever hits, who first? It was great for the ending
Starting point is 00:19:17 of the round, though. Those last few seconds. No, I mean, listen, he called him to the front. Hey,
Starting point is 00:19:23 let's throw them things. What you trying to do? But again, when it comes to throwing them things and engaging in the pocket like that hey if you let loose
Starting point is 00:19:30 you got to keep one you got to stay on the phone you got to stay on the phone you got to let one go and bring it back home you do it like this Ocho you do it like this here
Starting point is 00:19:39 you see ain't nobody got ain't nobody got nothing oh yeah they're tired they're tired at that point so what's the first thing that goes away when you're tired?
Starting point is 00:19:46 Your technique. Yes. All that goes away. Well, when you're sending somebody to the pocket, you ain't trying to go to... No, you wouldn't call that a lucky punch, would you?
Starting point is 00:19:55 Because, you know, his head was down. No, no, no, no, no, no. No? Okay, I'm just saying. I'm just saying. I'm just saying. Hey, that was nice.
Starting point is 00:20:03 That was a great finish. That was a great ending. A great ending. What do you think about, what do you think would happen if Max Holloway had to fight me? Man, look here. Boxers don't do well in the UFC.
Starting point is 00:20:15 That's why UFC fighters have to go to the boxing ring. Right. Ain't no boxer going to do nothing with no guy in the UFC. He's going to be older than Matt Attad. Okay, let me ask you a question now.
Starting point is 00:20:25 Let me ask you a question because I was state wrestling champ in 82, okay? You know, you've seen my hands go. I got hands. So at what point
Starting point is 00:20:35 do you think Max Holloway would beat me if we were to get an octagon? Like round one, two, or three? 30 seconds. Wait, what you mean 30 seconds? He'll tap you out in 30. Why are you disrespecting me?
Starting point is 00:20:48 I'm putting all my money. I'm taking all the money I got, everything I own. So you think Max Holloway could beat me? Beat the brakes off you. And two more people just like you. You know what? Max Holloway, if you see this, if you have any time, if you have any time during your break until your next fight, please left spar.
Starting point is 00:21:09 Let's get some footage. I just want to show Uncle Uncle Uncle Sharp that I ain't with the bullshit. Please, Brother Max Holloway. Congratulations. But please. Oh, Joe. What? To every sport, there's levels. Right. I levels right and i get it he's the best i know
Starting point is 00:21:28 you're good entry level good entry level entry entry but they go to that top man oh yes man i thump max holloway chin man don't play at me like that, man. I'm out of the city, man. What you talking about, man? I'm built for that. I mean, you know, you go back to, excuse me, I don't know if you remember when Conor called Jose Aldo. Oh, yeah. He clipped him. Yeah. Oh, at the beginning,
Starting point is 00:21:59 at the beginning, at the beginning, when he was coming in, being aggressive. That was a good counter. Miles Vidal, flying knee, business, aspirin, Khabib, Maul, Conor. Yeah. I mean, look, there have been some Holly Holmes signature leg kick over Rodney Rousey. Look, it was a great, Pierre did a great, did an unbelievable job on Hill. I mean, because Hill kicked him in the groin and, um,
Starting point is 00:22:28 uh, what's the guy, what's the black referee name? Herb Dean. He went to check. He said, nah, I got it. Don't even worry about it. Don't you worry about it. Don't, Herb. Herb. I got this. I got this. Walked him down, clipped him with a left. And then, um,
Starting point is 00:22:44 uh, what's her name? Kyla. Kyla Harrison. Makes her UFC debut. Two-time judo champ. Two-time Olympic gold medal in judo. What? What?
Starting point is 00:22:58 Holly Holm is an outstanding kickboxer. Outstanding boxer. What in the hell would make her stand in the clinch with Kayla Harrison? Maybe she got, maybe because Kayla flipped her
Starting point is 00:23:14 and Holly reversed it. So maybe she got a little comedy like, ooh, ooh, ooh. I feel pretty good. Are you out your mind? Yeah, listen. The only time Kayla Harrison gonna touch me, when we go to the center of the ring I'm feeling pretty good. Are you out your mind? Yeah. Listen. The only time Kayla Harrison going to touch me when we go to the center of the ring and we touch them blood, hey, good luck.
Starting point is 00:23:32 That's the only time she's touching me. That's it. Other than that, I'm kicking a punch. Hey, she's a two-time Olympic gold medal judo. Right. So that means she used to grappling. That's what she wants to get to. It's the same thing with Ronda Rousey. Ronda Rousey.
Starting point is 00:23:49 She was what? Used to getting her hands on people. And flipping them. And armbarring you. And so what did the Holly Holm do? Kick her upside her head. What did the lioness do? Don't say it like that.
Starting point is 00:24:02 I'm just saying. So I know you're, I'm not, listen, sometimes, you know, people get it. I'm going to beat them at their own game.
Starting point is 00:24:11 Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah,
Starting point is 00:24:13 nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah,
Starting point is 00:24:14 nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah,
Starting point is 00:24:14 nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah,
Starting point is 00:24:14 nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah,
Starting point is 00:24:15 nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah,
Starting point is 00:24:15 nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, Beat him. Damn, that beat a man. You got to beat the man. No, hell no. If somebody beat the man on the way, I got to fight the man.
Starting point is 00:24:30 Well, I'm going to beat the man that beat the man. Damn what y'all say. But I don't understand. I didn't understand that. I don't know. Listen, you have a corner. You come into a fight with a plan. Sometimes the plan that you do have, you're not able to execute it.
Starting point is 00:24:43 So you go to plan B. I'm not sure what her plan B was, but it wasn't what it should be because the outcome wasn't what we thought it was going to be, especially for the accolades and what she, what her resume looks like so far. Hold on. My thing going dead. Damn. Yeah. Yeah, we hear you I just I don't I don't get Holly Holmes strategy and I don't think anybody in the chat get their strategy either because you know what Kayla Harrison
Starting point is 00:25:16 is you know what she represents she's a gold medalist in judo that means you beating women all over the world and you used to getting your hands on people I'm not getting in the clinch with you. Hell no. But also, you got to think about you can't run the whole fight.
Starting point is 00:25:32 I'm okay. I can kick. The more you have to move around, the more you kicking, the more tired you get. That's okay. You got to be very strategic as well. But here's the thing. It's the same thing in boxing. What you got to do? You box, you keep people,
Starting point is 00:25:47 somebody that's used to fighting in the pocket, fighting inside. Why would I get inside? Why would I get into the pocket with Mike Tyson? Knowing that's where he wants to be. Hold on. Hold on, man. Now we got Jake Paul getting ready to fight Mike Tyson coming up in July, June, whatever. What does Mike
Starting point is 00:26:04 Tyson fight in all the fights that he's had? He's slipping up under everything trying to get where? On the inside. Yes! You can't run the whole fight because what Mike is going to do, if you're a great boxer
Starting point is 00:26:16 and know how to cut off the ring, boy, it'd be hell. It's going to be hell. When he fought Lennox Lewis, what did Lennox Lewis do? Keep that goddamn jab out there. Jab in his face. Keep that jab jab out there. Jab in his face. Keep that jab in his face to keep him up off of him.
Starting point is 00:26:28 And now one of the guys, the only guy that really fought him in the pocket and beat him was Holy Feet. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Hey, them boys were throwing that leather, boy. Even when he went to, when he was in Japan and he ended up losing for the first time to, what's the guy's name? What's the guy's name? Who did he lose? What's the guy he greatest upset in boxing? I can't think of the guy's name. Kept that jab on him. Kept that jab on him.
Starting point is 00:26:56 Boom, boom. That jab, boom, boom. Just kept pounding the jab over right. Jab over here right. And then you saw Tyson looking for his mouthpiece. Buster Douglas. Buster Douglas. When Buster Douglas beat him down, and what you call it, what'd he do? Because everybody had made the mistake
Starting point is 00:27:13 of fighting him in the pocket. He'd walk him down, he'd get close. He would take a couple of punches just to get off that. Get one. And when you feel that one, boy. And you know Mike Tyson, his signature is a double punch. The boot, the uppercut. He's coming to the
Starting point is 00:27:30 body, coming up. You know it's coming. That left hook, man, and that uppercut was some nasty. Yes. So, nah, Holly Holmes made a mistake, a fight like that, and then she ended up, Kayla ended up mounting her, getting her from behind, real naked choke, tapped her.
Starting point is 00:27:52 That was it. I'm Michael Kassin, founder and CEO of 3C Ventures and your guide on good company. The podcast where I sit down with the boldest innovators shaping what's next. In this episode, I'm joined by Anjali Sood, CEO of Tubi, for a conversation that's anything but ordinary. We dive into the competitive world of streaming, how she's turning so-called niche into mainstream gold, connecting audiences with stories that truly make them feel seen. What others dismiss as niche, we embrace as core. It's this idea that there are so many stories out there, and if you can find a way to curate and help the right person discover the right content,
Starting point is 00:28:36 the term that we always hear from our audience is that they feel seen. Get a front row seat to where media, marketing, technology, entertainment, and sports collide. And hear how leaders like Anjali are carving out space and shaking things up a bit in the most crowded of markets. Listen to Good Company on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Al Jermaine Sterling his fight he won but it wasn't interesting I don't think Dana
Starting point is 00:29:16 could be is pleased with that I understand that he moved up but his fight wasn't wasn't interesting Piera was great
Starting point is 00:29:24 I mean they had some I mean all the fights were really good but but his fight wasn't interesting. Piedra was great. I mean, all the fights were really good, but, man, Max Holloway. Yeah, back to staying on Max again, man. I know Max is probably going to see this, and I really want to get your honest opinion on what you just said earlier when we talked about Max Holloway, right? And if him and I were to get in the octagon you you really disrespected me at thinking i'm gonna get tapped out in 30 seconds yep you think so i know so that's a different like like you know
Starting point is 00:29:58 me you know my competitive edge my competitive nature my willing to try and do anything as a grown man. Think about this. Let's say my kids are standing behind me, right? Wait, let me finish. Let's say my kids are standing behind me and Max Holloway got to get through me to get to my kids. What you think is going to happen?
Starting point is 00:30:20 Leave your kids at home. Make it difficult. So, make it difficult for him to get them. Man. That's what you should do. That's exactly what you should do. Don't do that's exactly what you should do don't do that don't do that Ocho
Starting point is 00:30:50 and if you watch Ocho I mean like when I like when I watch when I watch fights Ocho I'm looking at hey that's fucked up Ocho when I'm watching fights
Starting point is 00:31:02 yeah I'm looking at like when they come down cause I know and, I'm looking at like when they come down, because I know, and so I'm looking at Holly Holm and I'm looking at Kayla Harrison. And I'm looking at her and
Starting point is 00:31:16 women and don't become a no bull jive. Right. That's a large woman. Once she refueled, she made weight at 135 she's walking around at 170, 175 easy
Starting point is 00:31:31 because when she refueled she looked like she was like 155, 160 and that's in 24 hours so I know she's a woman that's walking around 175 easy easy cause man I know she's a woman that's walking around 175. Easy. Easy.
Starting point is 00:31:48 Because, man, if you look at the steals of her when she was like, man, I mean, she got capped. Same thing with Pietta. I mean, he refueled and gained like 25 pounds, which lets me know that he's a same thing with Piedra. I mean, he refueled and gained like 25 pounds,
Starting point is 00:32:05 which lets me know that he's a large man. He's a big light heavyweight. Yeah. Yes. That tells you that. See, the thing that made Floyd so great, the size of his skill, Floyd is not a naturally large man. No.
Starting point is 00:32:22 Floyd probably only losing five to six pounds to make weight at 147. Every time, yep. He might not have to do anything different to make 154. Right. Where everybody else is having to come down substantially. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:38 Floyd is Floyd. Now, he's immensely skilled, so I don't want people to say, well, the only reason, no, I'm not saying that. But I'm saying someone that doesn't have to lose that much weight to come down, he's going to be able to fight
Starting point is 00:32:52 his natural strength. He's going to be... And I felt that that was one of the advantages that Floyd had, because if you ever been around Floyd, he's not a guy that walks around at 160, 165, dropping down to 154 to 147. Floyd might weigh 155.
Starting point is 00:33:07 Maybe. Maybe. I don't know. He probably never touched 160. If you see him, he look like he about at 147 or 150 for that matter. But again, once he gets in that ring, the skill, in the pocket, out the pocket, from distance, I mean, his ring IQ is like no other. And whatever
Starting point is 00:33:29 you're doing, he has something to combat that each and every round, and he will pick you apart. He will pick your ass apart. All he's doing is just gathering information. Oh, information, round by round. And then, hey, he pulled, oh, he loved,
Starting point is 00:33:45 his favorite is that pulled punch. Yeah. Bam! Hey, hold on, leave his head out there. Leave his head out there on purpose, waiting on you to throw something. Ah, man.
Starting point is 00:33:56 I'm kind of mad about this Max Holloway stuff, mad about you, man. Roll, bump! And come back with it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, it was, like I said, I wanted to see
Starting point is 00:34:07 Amanda Nunes. I think she wants Amanda Nunes. But Amanda Nunes is smart enough to know not to let her grab her. So Amanda Nunes is going to be looking to you know, because that's because I know she retired, but she Dana,
Starting point is 00:34:24 how much money you got to bring Amanda for the right for the right amount of money anybody come out of retirement now because you got to know hey this is what she's good at I'm not letting you grab me I'm not I'm not letting you grab me I'm ready to see I want bones I want John Jones to get healthy because I want to see him but I like to see him fight Francis and Donald oh that'd be a good one. Now, Jon Jones, in my estimation, is the greatest. He's the most complete boxer there is because he can do it all.
Starting point is 00:34:50 Heavyweight? Yeah. Nah, as far as MMA. He's the greatest MMA fighter. Jon Jones, he fights at heavyweight though, right? He's a heavyweight. He moved up. He was a lot heavier. He took the belt from Syria gone. I think he took the belt from Serial Gone, I think.
Starting point is 00:35:08 Ngannou had to vacate it. Serial Gone ended up winning and he took it from him. I like that. Yeah. I would love that that's going to be because he's made Miss Me that everybody at light heavy. He beat
Starting point is 00:35:24 Gone and he beat Gaunt and he beat the guy, Stipe. He didn't beat, didn't he beat Stipe, Stipe Miosic? No. John.
Starting point is 00:35:36 Or did he just fight, did he just take the belt from John Jones? I mean, Cyril Gaunt. Did he fight Stipe? No, and Gaunt, you know, I mean, Cyril Don. Did he fight Steve? No, and Gano.
Starting point is 00:35:52 Because he can, I mean, he can wrestle. He can submit you. I mean, he can box. Yeah, man. I mean, I mean, and he's another, he's a big light heavy. So him, he's not going to have to lose any weight because you can go up to, I think, up to 265 to be a heavyweight. So he's not going to have to do anything.
Starting point is 00:36:11 I think that's the, but right now Ngannou's in a different league. I think he's with Strikeforce or PFL. Yeah, so. And contractually it could never happen anyway because he's with another league huh okay
Starting point is 00:36:28 yeah John because he tore his pec yeah he was supposed he was scheduled to fight Stiep Miochic and ended up having to pull out because he tore his pec and he's on the road to recovery so I don't know who he's going to fight when it's I don't know how much longer he wants to fight
Starting point is 00:36:44 but he's taking on all comers at the light heavy has the belt. It's not very many guys that can say there are two time, a two division champ, but John Jones did that. Kayla Clark showed up on Saturday night live to dunk all over Michael cheat. It started when she joked that the university, I will retire Clark's number 22 and have it replaced with an April apron. She said, he's a fan of Clark. Repried, really, Michael?
Starting point is 00:37:07 Because I heard that little apron joke you did. At this point, she dissed out plenty of wisecrack by cheap ass jokes about women's basketball, which were shot down and introduced by Weekend Update co-host Colin Jost. Oh, we can't show you that.
Starting point is 00:37:24 Copyright. We ain't trying to lose all that. Oh, we can't show you that because of copyright. We ain't trying to lose all that. Oh, so check this out. Nike was slammed for their skimpy team's uniform of USA's women's track and field uniform for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Nike is under fire
Starting point is 00:37:36 for the team USA's track and field uniform of the 2024 Paris Games were revealed. And the skimpy hip bearing, you know, for female competitors of some Olympics, wondering if they'll be flashing their... So who that's... Oh, yeah. games were revealed and the skimpy hip bearing, you know, for female competitors of Summer Olympic wondering if they'll be flashing their... So who that's... Oh, yeah. The critics questioned whether there were any
Starting point is 00:37:52 input from former female... from female athletes who need to adhere to a complicated, intimate grooming. Hmm. Wait. Somebody... Oh. Tara Davis Woodall. She's a long jumper she said my hoo-ha gonna be out
Starting point is 00:38:07 2020 another woman said there's no way a female runner at any in this design I hope the USFL blah blah blah paying for bikini waxes another said if the baby is hanging out and still medically what do you expect to be having with a moving person if the baby is hanging out and it's still medically,
Starting point is 00:38:26 what do you expect to be having with a moving person? They won't reveal it now. Now, some women like the heat, like a thin moat. She wears like the heat. She don't wear like a, she wear like a singlet,
Starting point is 00:38:42 like the briefs. Right. And I guess that's what they're talking about. The briefs are the one that have, not some of the long jumpers, they wear the briefs. Right. And so,
Starting point is 00:38:51 and so like, like Sha'Carri, she normally wears the singlet. Yeah. Which is, you know, the body, yeah,
Starting point is 00:38:56 yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
Starting point is 00:38:58 yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
Starting point is 00:38:58 yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
Starting point is 00:38:59 yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
Starting point is 00:38:59 yeah, they wear the singlet. And so, it's going to be interesting. And I guess, you know, it's something they do, you know, they wear a little cotton reach up under there yeah and so they're like damn yeah but when i saw him i was like well damn i mean look i'll be looking at all joe i mean it looks like all track uniforms
Starting point is 00:39:18 really i'm not sure what if if you watch track before obviously i watch track all the time it to me from what I'm seeing, it looks no different than what they're already running in anyway, you know? They're a little high. Yeah, okay, okay. You see the way they cut? If they look like that
Starting point is 00:39:38 on the mannequin, what you think when a person starts moving, when a woman starts running, or she starts jumping, and she double hitch kick. She starts kicking. You seen someone... Okay, you're right. I'm going to agree with you.
Starting point is 00:39:50 I'm going to agree with you. But based on what they're always wearing, those that run the 1, the 200, those that run the 400, I'm trying to see what is the issue. Maybe it's cut a little too high. Maybe it's cut a little too high a little bit
Starting point is 00:40:05 yeah okay okay i yeah okay i see what you're talking about so just maybe they maybe they need to do something before we got plenty of time to correct it you got plenty of time to correct it but i think the thing is on your cup you know back when we ran track we ran guys ran a brief we all ran in jock straps so we had like we had like the shorts and we ran in jocks. Right, right. So I remember a guy was long jumping and got up in there and his meat came out. Oh, Joe, he tried to get it back in.
Starting point is 00:40:36 He up in the air. Dude dropped by four feet. Oh! See, that was the only problem with jock straps on Joe back in the day. You know what I'm saying? I would have been in tears, man. Babe. Oh, man. Babe. Oh, man. Y'all ain't had tights back then, huh? Uh, nah.
Starting point is 00:41:14 I mean, nobody really ran in tights back then. You know, we had, we ran in the shorts like Christian Coleman. Like, a lot of guys were like like if you look at Noah Lyles, he wears the singlet like a boat. He wore like a like a little vest, but he wore tights on the bottom. Right, right. Noah Lyles wears the singlet, you know, but but if you look at Christian Coleman, he normally wears he normally wears the shorts. Right. But no, it all depends.
Starting point is 00:41:44 It all depends on what they're comfortable with yeah for sure yeah Ocho beef is heating up Drake responds to Rick Ross no job claim warrants rapper after this don't worry we'll handle it Ross unreleased his own
Starting point is 00:41:59 unleashed his own dizzy diss track champagne moment soon after Drake's push drop and give me 50 leaked on Saturday on Ross' diss track he called Drake unleashed his own dizzy distract. Champagne moment soon after Drake's push-ups drop and give me 50 leaked on Saturday. On Ross' diss track, he called Drake a white boy, claims he stole his flow from Lil Wayne, says he employs ghostwriters,
Starting point is 00:42:14 and alleged he has cosmetic surgery, notably a nose job. This calls Drake's mom to text him wondering why the internet is saying her son Alves has a nose job. I can't believe you would get one without me because you know I've always wanted one, Drake's mom. In response,
Starting point is 00:42:30 Drake quipped, I would have gotten us two for one deal if I went, Ma. He continued to know Ja Room is coming to Rick Ross guy. I did a song, he's going loopy off weight loss drug Magerno. He has it eaten in days and he's turning a little angry and racist. He's
Starting point is 00:42:46 performing at prom for money. It's bad. Drake also hinted his next lyrical salvo would be fired directly at Ross. Don't worry, we'll handle it. And tagged Rich forever and said, you're one nosy goof.
Starting point is 00:43:01 I like it. I'm not sure how everybody else feels in the chat, but I like it. For hip-hop, I like it. Future, Metro, The Weeknd also, I think has something to do with it. Drake, Ross, and the thing I like about Drake and Ross
Starting point is 00:43:18 is we already know y'all got crews, you got people that can take care of stuff in the street. They not doing it that way. They doing it where it matters. It don't matter how many trophies, how many times you've been platinum, how many accolades you have, what you've done, how many... None of that
Starting point is 00:43:33 matters when it comes to that pin and there's beef. They handle it where it matters most for us as fans of hip-hop in the booth. In the booth. the booth it's uh K-Dot started it yeah J. Cole followed up later apologized say this ain't in my heart this ain't what I want to do this I don't want to be a part of this yeah Drake said Drake drop and give me 50.
Starting point is 00:44:01 Drake went out of my life Drake you know people try to minimize Drake because I guess he ain't grow up and he ain't, you know, got all this. But hey, Drake had some bars. I like Drake. Ross came back. Ross had some nights. I like it. I don't know how true it is.
Starting point is 00:44:17 I don't know if they're just trying to put hip hop because they said hip hop was dying. It's well and alive right now. Live and well right now. This is a hip hop Royal Rumble, a hip hop civil war, whatever it may be. However many parties are involved, but Ross and Drake, this right here, their creativity, their creativity in their art and pen is going to have everybody on pins and needles waiting to hear Drake's response.
Starting point is 00:44:46 So this is the thing about it is when Drake responds, Ross gonna respond too. And both of them have great penmanship and creativity when it comes to the art of making music and it comes time to talk about somebody. I like her. I like both of them as artists. I respect both of them as artists. I respect both of them as artists. You know, I'm just, I'm hyped. I just don't know when it's going to come out.
Starting point is 00:45:10 Man, how they all teaming up on Drake, though. Oh, they all teaming up on Drake? Man, you know, everybody, K-Dot, Ross, K-Dot. I mean, there's like 50 guys coming at Drake. See, I don't understand. I don't know where everything is stemming from. For me, on the outside looking in,
Starting point is 00:45:29 I'm just hearing the finished product and saying, oh, so-and-so on Future's album was talking about, you know, the big three. And then I'm like, well, who the hell is the big three? And then people kind of brought me up to speed. I guess it was supposed to be Cole, K-Dot, and Drake. So, boom. Somebody had to bring me...
Starting point is 00:45:48 Wayne in the category, Wheezy. Wheezy in the category by himself. Right, right, right. So he... Right. People had to bring me up to speed.
Starting point is 00:45:57 So once they brought me up to speed, okay, now I understand what's going on. Okay, now I understand who the big three is. Okay, now I understand what K-Dot, what the words he was saying in the song, now I see what the big three is. Okay, now I understand what K-Dot, what the words he was saying
Starting point is 00:46:05 in the song. Now I see what the meaning was. So then I heard Drake respond. Oh, side seven. Oh, okay. Oh, so you're talking about K-Dot. Yeah, but you ain't running nothing
Starting point is 00:46:15 in the mean side seven. Yeah, exactly. So now it's all making sense to me and it comes full circle. So boom, I hear Ross diss. Okay. Oh, okay, okay, okay.
Starting point is 00:46:25 Boom. I like that. Now, you know, Dreezy, Drake, does say, you know, he on Instagram and say, boom, I'm finna come back at you. Drake even, Drake said a little shot at Ja. At Ja who? Ja Morant.
Starting point is 00:46:41 For real? Yeah, man. But Ja, he just play basketball. What Ja got to do with it? He say, shout out to the hooper out there busting out the gritty. I know why you're mad, Ken. I ain't tripping. Oh. It's reported that they had interaction
Starting point is 00:46:56 with a young lady. Now, that's what's being reported. I don't know. And I hate that I ain't brought it up to that. Whoa, whoa, whoa. You know he must hit one of the girls, huh? That's what's being reported. It ain't about being reported. We know what it is. I don't know what it is. you know he must hit one of the girls that's what's being reported it ain't about being reported we know what it is I don't know what it is I wasn't there
Starting point is 00:47:10 you don't have to be there to listen to the words you listen to the words I know why you mad that's what he said he said shout out to the hooper out there busting out the gritty I know why you mad and I ain't even tripping because remember when metro booming said still he said ja ja also said stay on that side right right right so because you know how it is though
Starting point is 00:47:32 joe when you're telling a joke if you grin you in that's all i'm saying yeah so if somebody tell a joke they get what i'm calling me right and not laugh because if you laugh that mean you part of it yeah but you you know what happened especially when you're talking greasy like when you're talking special like that you know with it being drake obviously being a lover boy that he is there might have been somebody job might have been seeing and we listen drake drake drake get who whoever whoever what you yeah come on let's go you you know what it is i mean common sense so you're able to speak and rap like that right but again i'm waiting waiting on Drake's response.
Starting point is 00:48:06 And then I'm telling you what's going to happen. He already had one response. No, he got to respond to Ross. Oh, you want to respond to Ross. You want to respond to Ross. Yeah, he got to respond to Ross. Okay, okay, I see what you're saying. I see what you're saying.
Starting point is 00:48:15 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Ross going to double back. Right. And hit him. And then Drake going to come back. Listen, this shit might go on all the way to goddamn summertime. It might go all the way to goddamn summertime. It might go all the way to summertime.
Starting point is 00:48:27 It might. The penmanship and the creativity between these two artists is phenomenal. They can go for days. Listen, I don't care about who got more money. I don't care about accolades and numbers
Starting point is 00:48:43 and streams. I don't care about nothing. I don't care about noneolades and numbers and streams. I don't care about nothing. I don't care about none of that. I care about the penmanship and the going back and forth and showing who has the better creativity and the better pen. That's all it comes down to.
Starting point is 00:48:57 For me. For me. Everybody else in the chat, they might feel, you know, and want to bring up other stuff that really doesn't matter and has nothing to do with what's going on right now.
Starting point is 00:49:08 Right. Well, I'm excited. It's, well, because everybody, everybody great. Hey, everybody great on that mic.
Starting point is 00:49:16 You know, they talk like, Jake got Ghost Rider, but at the end of the day, you still got it. You got it. You got to sell it. I don't know if he got
Starting point is 00:49:23 Ghost Riders or not. I got a question. I'm glad you said that now i'm i like rap i'm not a hip-hop head to understand um when someone has a ghost writer or they say someone else wrote for you why did that so frowned upon in in in the hip-hop space but when you have r&b you have writers for r&b you have writers for for gospel music why you have writers for gospel music. Why is it so frowned upon in hip-hop when someone has a ghostwriter? I'm confused. Oh, Joe, they're just like, hey, if you bought that, you're supposed
Starting point is 00:49:54 to come up with that thing original at the Dome. It's supposed to be you and your words about what you're doing, not somebody else, not you. It's kind of like comedians. They frowned upon if you got a gross right comedian. If you don't come up with your own jokes, because I've had people on this and now,
Starting point is 00:50:09 hey, I might have somebody help me. Right. Or craft a joke so I get it better. Okay. But as far as just writing a joke and then me going out there and executing it, nah, I don't do that. But some people like, hey, I ain't got no problem with it.
Starting point is 00:50:24 To each his own. Okay. Okay. I got it. I got it. I mean, I just, I'm just, I don't know. I understand in a sense, in a sense, but every other genre of music has people that help them write and create stories, you know, and the people that are doing the writing aren't good enough to execute it. That's why they are the writers. Right. And sometimes, listen, I guess some of the best that are rappers don't have ghostwriters, but everybody's not able to execute.
Starting point is 00:50:54 Everybody's not able to write and execute and do everything all in one. Except, you know, a certain few. Jay, I'm sure Jay-Z can do it. I'm sure Lil Wayne can do it. Oh, yeah. You know, but I don't know. I guess. Either way. I'm sure Jay-Z can do it. I'm sure Lil Wayne can do it. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:07 You know, but I don't know. I guess. Either way. When you start talking about, when you start talking about, when you start getting with Weezy and Pop and Big and Hov and Em. Yeah. Bro, now you're talking about,
Starting point is 00:51:20 you know, now you're getting on up there. Yeah. Guys like Big Daddy Kane on the mic. Guys like that, KRS-One. Yeah. That are lyricists. Rock him. Yeah. Now you're talking about lyricists, guys
Starting point is 00:51:35 that really, that's how they started. You know, Big Daddy Kane, KRS-One, rock him, lyricists. really with that but to each his own like I said I like it
Starting point is 00:51:51 if it sounds good to me I don't give a damn where it came from I don't care who wrote it I like this this beef or exchange of pleasantries between two of the greats at what they do. And Ross, I know you're going to see this. Do what you do.
Starting point is 00:52:11 Drake, do what you do. Do what you do. I'm back here. I'm enjoying it. I'm enjoying it. Let's go. Yeah. May the best pin win.
Starting point is 00:52:20 May the best pin win. I'm Michael Kassin, founder and CEO of 3C Ventures and your guide on good company. The term that we always hear from our audience is that they feel seen. Get a front row seat to where media, marketing, technology,
Starting point is 00:53:12 entertainment, and sports collide. And hear how leaders like Anjali are carving out space and shaking things up a bit in the most crowded of markets. Listen to Good Company on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. All right, Ojo, it's time for our last segment of the day, and it's called Q&A. Q&A, Q& A. Chat, ask me anything. Ask me anything. I'm going to tell you. I ain't tell you no lie.
Starting point is 00:53:51 Hey, we had a good show tonight. Yeah, we did. Yeah, we did. Calibor ASMR. My life has been poop recently and this is the only place that makes me happy in my life right now. It gives me hope. Thanks, Uncle Nocho.
Starting point is 00:54:06 Love, two million subs. That's on our way. Hey, Cali boy, we appreciate the love and support. Our job is to try to uplift, tell stories, give you new information about football, basketball, but share life stories with you, bro. Hey, it's going to turn around. Because even though it rained 40 days and 40 nights, the sun came out again. Sunshine follows tomorrow, Cali boy.
Starting point is 00:54:24 Keep your head up, chin up. Keep walking forward. Cali boy, I love you, baby. I love you, baby. It's going to be all right. Keep on grinding. Don't hold your head down because you can't see where you're going. Drain Master said, Uncle Nocho, from all of us in the chat, God is good. Glad to hear Big Sister's
Starting point is 00:54:40 head is home. His home healing. Drain Master, I really appreciate that, man. She's extremely happy. She's like, man, I don't feel no pain. I said, you know, I told you. The only pain that you're going to feel is where they did the incision.
Starting point is 00:54:56 And like I said, she tried to do it. She just tried to outdo me because she had both of hers done at one time. She make me sick. Boss Lady said, hey guys, I'm hyper independent, self-made and traditional at heart.
Starting point is 00:55:11 There's a guy I really like, but there's a slight difference between us. As a woman, do you think I should shoot my shot? Hell yeah. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Before you shoot your shot, one of the key words that she just said that can be frustrating for a man,
Starting point is 00:55:24 a man always wants to feel needed and a man wants to be provided. The first thing she said was she's hyper independent. Can you suppress that independency to allow that man to be a man before you shoot your shot?
Starting point is 00:55:36 If you can't, don't shoot your shot, honey. Can you suppress being hyper independent and allow that man to lead and provide? Everybody wants a traditional man. Right.
Starting point is 00:55:48 But they want, but they want to be a non-traditional woman. Right, right, right. So if you don't understand how that works, I'm not, I'm not saying. Right. That there's anything wrong with you being hyper talented, ependent, self-made, traditionally hard. That's a good thing. That's a great thing. But can you suppress that
Starting point is 00:56:10 and allow that man to be a man? That's the difference. Because most of the time, women that are independent, y'all get in an argument, the first thing they say, you know what, I don't even need you.
Starting point is 00:56:18 I make my own money. I don't need you. I don't need... Come on, man. The power of the tongue. Words hurt. So, sis, if you can suppress
Starting point is 00:56:28 your independency and allow that man to be a man, shoot your shot, honey. Matter of fact, I'll shoot it for you. What's his name? Adam.
Starting point is 00:56:35 I sent him a tweet. I'll hook you up. Yeah, hey. WNBA, they got the ladies shooting shots. Quap threes and everything, mid-range layups. Yeah, but it's, like I said, I mean,
Starting point is 00:56:53 and today, man, everybody talking about they want a traditional man in a non-traditional society. I just don't understand how that works, Ocho. Yeah. You throwing up in your man, I make my own money. I do yada, yada, yada. Difficult, very difficult. Very difficult. Very difficult. I think what he want to come home to y'all get it. Y'all get a disagreement.
Starting point is 00:57:13 And now y'all, you know, it's a 50 50, but you thought of or you make more money. It's tough. It's tough. I mean, I mean, you probably have to ask men that have been married for an extremely long period of time and see if the woman works. And if she does, she ain't going around constantly throwing it in his face. She independent. So, I mean, Rel independent. Rel had a job before you. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah sis had it going on and honestly before me and the
Starting point is 00:57:50 opportunity to present itself I mean I'm only here cause she got money honestly I'm just gonna be honest I can tell the chat I ain't got no shame I ain't got no shame I'm here cause she got money that's it uh uh
Starting point is 00:58:04 DeMarcus Ware was just on the Masked Singer that's it uh uh Demarcus Ware was just on the Masked Singer and one of the judge guessed it was you Shannon would you ever go on that show if so what would you sing uh no I would not go on the Masked I guess
Starting point is 00:58:20 this is our reality show right here yeah yeah but listen we can't sing, though. No. How do we get it? What do we need to do to where we can sing like we used to at the beginning? Give us auto-tunes. Huh?
Starting point is 00:58:33 Give us auto-tunes. What that mean? Auto-tunes. You know how people make everybody sound good. No, we sound good. We already sound good. We just want to be able to sing songs without getting, you know, talk about. Oh, no, you can't do it on here.
Starting point is 00:58:47 No, no, no. You can't do it on here. Hell no. Dog, man. I don't like that. What's the point of having songs and having music if people that enjoy your music can't sing it? They can't. You're in your own home.
Starting point is 00:59:00 You can't sing it on this platform. I don't make no sense, man. But, uh, no, but Ocho, you want to go on the Masked Singer? Oh. Yeah. You think they'll put me on there? Ain't nobody gonna be able
Starting point is 00:59:16 to guess it's me, though. Because I can really sing. So they're gonna be like, but damn, who can this be? Because, oh, man. And listen, when you're on The Masked Singer, that means I get to perform too, right? I'm in a costume and I get to perform. You're in a costume, you sing, dance,
Starting point is 00:59:30 whatever you want to do. You're in a costume. Oh, man, listen. There's one thing about it. When you put a camera on me and a mic and I got to perform, you already know what you're going to get. Right.
Starting point is 00:59:39 Hey, people are, what's The Masked Singer on CBS, ABC, Fox, what? Fox. Yeah, hey, if people at Fox, if you see this, I would like the opportunity to be on The Masked Singer on CBS, ABC, Fox, what? Fox. Yeah, hey, if people at Fox, if you see this, I would like the opportunity to be on the Masked Singer. Is it not Nick Cannon? Terry Crews. Mm-mm.
Starting point is 00:59:53 No? Terry Crews, America's Got Talent. Nick Cannon. Okay, yeah. The Masked Singer. Nick, hit your boy, man. Nick, hit your boy, man. Get me on there, man.
Starting point is 01:00:00 Let me come on there. They ain't gonna never guess. You remember T-Pain? T-Pain was talking because I asked him, I said, bro, your voice is incredible. Right. And he's like, you know, I had to switch it up.
Starting point is 01:00:13 But the first person to ask me to use autotune was Roger Troutman. Exactly. Computer love. Yeah, computer love. Okay, they should, he did have it in his mouth when they're doing the video. You right, you sure did yep uh andrea in a classic dance battle who's bringing the best mood to win uncle ocho ocho oh yeah yeah yeah people gotta understand i was on dancing with the stars i'm i'm a i'm a great dancer um if i had to compare myself to someone, regardless of genre of music, when it comes to dancing,
Starting point is 01:00:47 I'd probably be like Chris Brown. I might be better than Chris Brown. Oh, my goodness. I might be better than Chris Brown when it comes to dancing. This man said Chris Brown, Charlie Brown. No, I'm talking about Chris Brown. Man, ask Chris. Listen, Chaz, stay with me real quick.
Starting point is 01:01:00 When I was living in L.A., when I was living in L.A., you know, I used to be a crump. I used to be a damn crump. I was a clown. Yeah. I mean, some people have said that before. No, at birthday parties. I didn't agree with him, though. At birthday parties, I was a crumper.
Starting point is 01:01:19 Let me see what you got. He wasn't crumple. I used to be a crumper. What you talking about, man? I really used to do that. Yeah. How about down 9-1-1? I thought you was having a seizure.
Starting point is 01:01:30 Nah, that's the way it look. You got to be able to jerk the body like me. And Chris Brown can't outdance me. Nah, CB got you. It's just the fact that he had the platform to display it, and I had to play football. But if you ask Chris Brown, that's my dog. If you ask Chris Brown, boy, you think Ochoa gonna
Starting point is 01:01:49 be like, yeah, but that Ochoa, boy, he like that when it comes to the movie. Ochoa ain't like that. Okay. I'll take your word for it. Can I ask you a question real quick before you go on? Do you really think Chris Brown could beat me dancing? Like, think about it. Yeah. See, this is what happened when I, if
Starting point is 01:02:04 I was an entertainer then you would understand it's the fact that i play football so you don't that's my point you not an entertainer so what did i do on the football field you're not on the football field you caught passes what i caught past it but the one thing that was special about me i was an entertainer first okay an actor is an entertainer he's not a dancer but i'm a dancer i was a stripper in 97 and 98 did you forget no i'm trying to i'm trying to uh i'm trying to get that image out of my mind no i had to make money i was i told you i told you i was at the right track i was at the right track 97 98 i ain't had no money coming in. Now you're on the wrong track. Patrick Williams said,
Starting point is 01:02:45 Ocho, I saw a video where you tried our Haitian food. Are you going to put on it? And do you have any memories of Kake and how and Ocho, how about what's that
Starting point is 01:03:01 word? Lever? I have no idea? Lever? I have no idea. Lever-erson? Leverkusen. Leverkusen. What is that? Yeah, the German team.
Starting point is 01:03:14 German team. Balling. Playing really well. For one, Funk, you ever had Haitian food? Not that I know. I mean, what? I mean, no, not to my knowledge. We got to get you out here, man.
Starting point is 01:03:27 Get you some Haitian food, some griot, some rice. And the funny thing about it, young fella that really asked that question right now, I went to Miami Beach Senior High, so I was eating Haitian food way back in high school. The chicken truck, I'll never forget the chicken truck. I used to be outside. And I remember the person's name. Her name was Sarita. It was her family's truck.
Starting point is 01:03:48 I haven't seen her since 1996. Sarita, if you see this, I hope all is well. I hope the family is well. I remember the chicken truck way back then. And I love the grill and rice. And it's good. Food is good. You got to get you some.
Starting point is 01:04:03 You got to get you some. So if you ever come to Miami, I got a perfect spot for you to go to that had Haitian food and I got you. I don't know about no food, but I know about that Haitian hunk of book. I know about that whole show.
Starting point is 01:04:18 I don't know about the food, but that hunk of book. What you know about that, man? Man, what? Man, now you talking. Yeah. Now you speaking my language.
Starting point is 01:04:32 Hey, boy, you cultured. You cultured. You cultured. Yeah. Okay. Upgrade King. Shout out to Stephen A. and Colin Cowher for recognizing how valuable Unk is to us.
Starting point is 01:04:43 We appreciate greatness. And we got Ocho. Stay winning. I appreciate that. Yeah, man. Colin is great. Colin's always been great. Stephen A, like I said, Stephen A, we really didn't know each other. We see each other at a couple of events like Super Bowl, like mainly
Starting point is 01:04:59 the Super Bowl. Bumped into him a couple of times when I went to the NBA Finals and stuff like that. And so, you know, we was always casual. Obviously not doing the show with him a couple of days a week. We've become really close. Have a lot in common, you know.
Starting point is 01:05:16 Went to HBCUs, very outspoken. Don't mind voicing our opinions. A lot of times people are not going to agree with us and that's okay. But yeah, I'm very appreciative of what the opportunity that steven a presented me uh colin partnering with me and allowing me to bring um club shea shea over to his platform and allowing us to create what we've created here so uh, uh, Hey, I'm thankful for skip gave me, giving me the opportunity. I'm always grateful.
Starting point is 01:05:47 Oh, Joe. Yeah. And, uh, I'm always very grateful, very humbled by anybody that presents an opportunity for me. Um,
Starting point is 01:05:57 when I was on that platform, when I was standing up there in front of Canton, I don't know how many people would have said, even if it's true that their brother was better at something than they are. And here I am going into the Hall of Fame. Right. Because I believe that in my heart. And so Steve, Skip, even anybody that's ever given me an opportunity, be it at CBS, Tony Battini.
Starting point is 01:06:26 I know Tony's going to see this. He's the Big Ten commissioner now. He was at CBS. He was the one that hired me. All of those Sean McManus was a CBO of CBS Sports. It was Tony Battini that says, hey, I think this guy could be really good. So I'm very, very appreciative of that. I'm appreciative of Skip believing in me and giving me the opportunity to come over. The only problem that I've ever had is that when people say Skip made me, that's the problem that I have.
Starting point is 01:06:52 If you want to say Skip gave me an opportunity, if you want to say Stephen A gave me an opportunity, you want to say Colin gave me an opportunity to hear, say that. But Skip didn't make me because if Skip made me, he should be able to make somebody else, right? Look at my dog! I'm just saying! but Skip didn't make me. Because if Skip made me, he should be able to make somebody else, right? Ooh!
Starting point is 01:07:07 Look at my dog! I'm just saying. Hey, come on now. I mean, I'm just going to keep it. I'll keep it in stack with you. If it was that easy, if he made me, he should be able to make someone else. Okay, Jay-Z. Because guess what?
Starting point is 01:07:20 Damn! I'll tell you what I did. I made a Kayla Sharp. You know what I did? I went and made a Kiari. I went and made a Kaylee. That's making. So I'll give him credit. He gave me the opportunity. And when the execs didn't want to follow through with the opportunity, he said, no. I will never say Stephen A didn't give me an opportunity. I will never say Colin Cowherd didn't allow me to pick up my platform and says, hey, I want you to come here. This is what I can do for you. This is what I'll be willing to do for you. That's all. That's that's it. But that's when I get that's when I get upset. I don't get
Starting point is 01:08:06 upset about a whole lot because when people like man, I wouldn't get no, no, no, no. He did that. He gave me that opportunity. Right. And when like I said, and when the Fox execs wanted to back out of it, Skip said, no, I believe in it. But when y'all start talking about this making
Starting point is 01:08:21 ish, nah, y'all can miss me with that because he like that line. Because he didn't make this personality. He didn't make me relatable. He didn't make me charismatic. He didn't make me funny. He didn't make me knowledgeable. I possessed all those traits before I got there.
Starting point is 01:08:38 He just allowed me to share the platform with it. To display it. Hold on. I like that line you said. You, boy, you pulled out the 9mm with that one, huh? Tell him make another one.
Starting point is 01:08:51 Damn! That was a good one, boy. Okay. Unc talking that, talking that, talking that, talking that. Let him know.
Starting point is 01:08:57 Make another one. Dr. Frankie L. Bellamy said, Hey, Unc and Ocho Unc, we'll be chilling at Monday after the Masters tomorrow with your brother Sterling. Yeah, so that means you're going to be in Myrtle Beach. Can't wait to meet him and hopefully get a picture.
Starting point is 01:09:09 Oh, don't worry. I'll be dripped out of the nightcap. Well, if you got the nightcap on, he'll definitely going to talk to you. He'll definitely say something to you. And just tell him, hey, your brother, your brother know me. You met me in Vegas. And he'll definitely have something to say. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:09:30 Lamar Robinson said, hi, Uncle Nocho. Please wish my wife, Brianna, a happy 31st birthday. She's also giving birth to our second daughter in a couple of weeks. Thanks to both of you. Thank you both for constantly making us laugh. Hey, Brianna. Happy birthday, Bri. Happy birthday and happy about to become a mother for the second time.

Hopefully mom and daughter will be safe. Hey, get back when Tia gives birth to that baby and everything. Hey, jump back in the chat, baby. Let us know, man.
