Starting point is 00:03:39 despite playing Josh Allen. Bill's fans are taking these quotes very serious. many feel that josh allen is the second best quarterback in the league behind patrick mahomes me personally i'll take lamar jackson but that's another story oh joe do you believe that jordan love will be the best quarterback that the texans have faced even though they do have Josh Allen on their resume. Yeah, probably. Probably.
Starting point is 00:04:10 I think Josh Allen is very good. Obviously, his resume speaks for itself, despite obviously the turnovers, but he's good. You can see what he's doing now and being Superman, not having elite players around him, but still getting the job done. But Jordan Love is really good. Jordan Love is really good.
Starting point is 00:04:29 Jordan Love, to me, is in the same bracket, in a sense, with Jaden Daniels, with a C.J. Stroud, with a Lamar Jackson. You know, he's also a dual-threat quarterback. He can run. He can run. He can throw. He can make all throws. And to be young as he is, he's very promising,
Starting point is 00:04:43 which is why they paid him what they did. And I mean, I agree with him. I agree. Jordan Love is really, really, really good. Really good. And the funny thing about it is, is you have to be a football fan, not a casual fan of the game. You would have to be a football fan to understand how good Jordan Love is and actually watch those Packers games. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:06 Like I said, I take Mahomes first. I don't put anybody next to him because you see what he's done in his six years of starting. It's off the charts. I mean, you don't get to four Super Bowls in six years. You win three with two MVPs, three Super Bowl MVPs. That's beyond what Brady has more. But if you look at Brady's first six years
Starting point is 00:05:27 and you look at his first six years, you look at Brady. Brady, they were a defensive team. Brady wasn't asked to do what Mahone boy is doing. Right. But, yeah, he's phenomenal. I would take Lamar Jackson as my second quarterback behind Mahone over Burrow and
Starting point is 00:05:46 Josh Allen, but I can see people saying Burrow. I can see people saying Josh Allen, maybe CJ, Jordan Love, Purdy, whatever the case may be. But one-two for me is my homes and Lamar. So,
Starting point is 00:06:03 hold on, hold on now. Who are our top five so we got we got we got burrow first you got lamar so josh allen third hold on you got burrow first in front of who no i said i said i said my homes is first okay no you said burrow is first okay my bad my bad you know i'm just thinking bangles my bad my bad so i mean like You know, I'm just thinking Bangles. My bad, my bad. So, I mean, like, talk to me real quick on your top five, based on who you would say, if they were to ask you.
Starting point is 00:06:31 So, you have, you have, um, Josh Allen second, before Lamar? I would take, no, I would take Lamar second. Okay. I would take, I would take, I would take Josh third, Burrow four, and I would take
Starting point is 00:06:46 Josh third, Burrow four and I would take I think I would take CJ fifth how you put Josh out in the front of Burrow though easy, I said I would take Josh out
Starting point is 00:07:02 that's your preference? Yeah. I mean, look, I think once you get past the first two, I think you're kind of splitting hairs with Josh Allen, Joe O'Burrow, and CJ. I know CJ is only his second year in the league, but I don't see a situation where he regresses. I only see situations where he improves. Right. Jordan Love is, Jordan Love is, and people are like, man, you talk about Jordan Love over Dak.
Starting point is 00:07:37 Yeah, I'll take Jordan Love over Dak. I'll take CJ Stroud over Dak too. Ah, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh,
Starting point is 00:07:53 oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh,
Starting point is 00:07:53 oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh,
Starting point is 00:07:54 oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh,
Starting point is 00:07:54 oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh,
Starting point is 00:07:54 oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, but you know the thing is most of the quarterbacks you can go to week. I think the top two are kind of set because Josh Allen, Burrow, none of them playing as good.
Starting point is 00:08:12 Jerry Goff is playing as good as anybody. Oh, yeah, most definitely. And you didn't even mention him. No, that's what I'm saying. I think it can go week to week, like most positions can go week to week. I think when you look at what Mahomes has done, his body of work, now at the end of the year, we can say, does he still deserve
Starting point is 00:08:31 to be the number one quarterback? We'll see. Probably, because this is what we see from Mahomes every year, especially in the beginning of the season. It always looks like this. The numbers aren't staggering. It's not crazy. But all of a sudden, when it matters most, guess who always comes through in the beginning of the season. It always looks like this. The numbers aren't staggering. It's not crazy.
Starting point is 00:08:49 But all of a sudden, when it matters most, guess who always comes through in the clutch? Right. Guess who? Every time. Every time. At some point, you're going to have three, 400, 500-yard games. They're going to come. They're not going to come right now for some reason.
Starting point is 00:09:01 They never come at the beginning of the season for them. It's always something. There's always an issue with the offense or the balls being dropped. There's no receivers. They're not catching the balls. That's what it was last year. This year, injury. Rasheed Rice is out.
Starting point is 00:09:15 Juju, goddamn Juju, steps up. Had the hell of a game. Travis Kelsey gets going late. Remember. It's always something. The Patriots said, nah, we ain't got no use for Juju. He comes back, look at Juju. Wrong system. You look at Justin Watson.
Starting point is 00:09:29 When she goes out, Juju comes in, 130-yard game, like that, off the rip. Just that fast. Just that fast. Quarterback can take average receivers and make them look really, really good. Yeah. That's what the really good ones can do. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. them look really really good yeah that's what that's what the really good ones can do but the quarterback is so hard Ocho because any given week you're like I take Jerry Goff no I take Josh Allen no I take CJ no I take I'll take Jordan Love no I'll take Joe I'll take Josh. And I mean, you, we've seen pretty deal where you like,
Starting point is 00:10:06 well, that boy pretty good. Mm. And you know, it's funny. I always think about when you think about your top five chat, whoever your top five players are. I always think about it.
Starting point is 00:10:18 Forget the stats, we get the numbers and all that stuff. I know all that matters, but if you were to put them on any other team, would they still be able to be efficient and be productive regardless of where they went, regardless of who was at their disposal as far as weapons are concerned?
Starting point is 00:10:35 Could they still wheel and deal? Boy, can you imagine Mahomes with Chase and Higgins? Can you imagine him with Waddle, Tyreek, Mostert, A-Tan? Hey. Listen. Or you put him in San Francisco
Starting point is 00:10:55 with that running game, Christian McCaffrey, Kittle, Debo, IU, Jennings. Unfair. Man, look. Some guys is that they are a system. They defy whatever you're doing. They are above it.
Starting point is 00:11:17 Right. And they'll elevate whatever you have around them. They'll elevate them. Very few can do that. That's difficult. Very elevate them. Very few can do that. That's difficult. Very few at the quarterback position can do that. There may be two or three that can do that. No matter what situation they go to, they can elevate it.
Starting point is 00:11:37 Man, Nelly Bailey, stop. Stop. What'd he say? What'd he say? What'd he say? If that's the case, you put Lamar in front of my home. Stop. Don't do that.? What do you say? What do you say? If that's the case, you took Lamar, you put Lamar in front of my home. Stop. Don't do that.
Starting point is 00:11:48 Don't do that. Don't do that. You were doing so good. Just like I'll use a reference as far as boxing. Nelly, my bad. I'm sorry. It's a sheet.
Starting point is 00:12:00 Nelly, don't do that. Oh, don't do that. Nelly, I say in reference to that, we're going to put you in time out. Styles when fights and boxing.
Starting point is 00:12:11 Styles wins fights. So I really, I really wouldn't do the switch. I wouldn't do the switch, but even, even at this point, especially in Lamar's career with the way he's looking as a passer, forget him running the ball,
Starting point is 00:12:22 forget the offense that he's in. I can see him doing well as a strictly a drop back passer. Forget him running the ball. Forget the offense that he's in. I can see him doing well as a strictly a dropback passer if the roles were reversed, hypothetically speaking, if he was a Chiefs quarterback. That's just me. I'm not saying I would pick my homes over him. I'm just saying if the roles were reversed. What makes him so dynamic and scary is his legs so are you telling me that he's going to be there and he's not going to be able to
Starting point is 00:12:51 use his legs yeah I mean I'm saying that's why I say this is a hypothetical right yeah because that's what makes him he can use his legs but I think he's just that he's gotten that much more dangerous with his arm as well oh yeah for sure yeah he's becoming much better at throwing the football.
Starting point is 00:13:07 Roger Goodell isn't ruling out an international Super Bowl. International? Commish said, we've always traditionally tried to play the Super Bowl in an NFL city. That was always sort of a reward for a city that have an NFL franchise.
Starting point is 00:13:24 But things change. It wouldn't surprise me at all if that happens one day. Whoa, wait, hold on, hold on, hold on. The true NFL fans, the true NFL fans of the teams that actually go to the Super Bowl can't even get the motherfucking tickets
Starting point is 00:13:40 to support their team that they've been going to watch the entire season. Now we talk about having a Super Bowl internationally for the higher-ups that ain't supporting the teams throughout the entirety of the season. So that puts us regular fans. What does that say
Starting point is 00:13:56 about us? Ocho. Somebody about some cities, London or somebody about to pay $500 million for a Super Bowl. They gone. See, it's all about the money. At the end of the day,
Starting point is 00:14:11 it's all about the money. What about us fans? What about us fans? I buy dolphin tickets. I buy bangles tickets to go watch my bangles and I buy tickets to go watch my goddamn dolphins. My hometown. Put this on my iPad so it can be streaming. That's what the NFL going to tell you about.
Starting point is 00:14:27 What about the fan? Put that up on my iPad so I can watch it while it's streaming. And we finna go get this $500 million, three quarters of a billion dollars from some Germany or wherever they play, London or wherever they play these games at. That's what the NFL going to tell you. Yeah. I mean, honestly, I or wherever they play these games at. That's what the NFL is going to tell you. Yeah. I mean, honestly, I like it.
Starting point is 00:14:48 I like the idea. I like the idea, especially for growing our sport globally. Yes. We will probably never be able to compete with that of soccer over that way. But the fact that we have integrated and found a special place for those who enjoy American football I think there's a place for us over there
Starting point is 00:15:11 and it's ways to make money it's ways to make money and to be able to make it on that other side of the world would be awesome hell if you really want to make some money we might as well have the Super Bowl in goddamn Saudi Arabia you talk about $500 million, shit, they'll give us a billion.
Starting point is 00:15:28 Dubai? Yeah. Think about that. Super Bowl in Qatar. Super Bowl in Saudi Arabia. Sure will. Super Bowl in Dubai. Come on, man. And I'll be right over there trying to get you some of them dollars, too.
Starting point is 00:15:43 Hey, think about what they would pay for that, huh? For sure. Think about what they would pay for that. Well, I know what they would pay. You see what they pay in the host boxing events or UFC fights. Yeah. So imagine the Super Bowl.
Starting point is 00:16:00 Thank you. Now that's something I go broke for. That's a great memory for that's a great memory that's a great memory I know I know I know you're going to see this let's think about that Super Bowl in Saudi Arabia
Starting point is 00:16:15 preferably Dubai come on now the bottom line is always the dollar if you want to make it I need 10%. Ocho, Dubai and Saudi Arabia are two different places.
Starting point is 00:16:29 Oh, I know that. I know that. I know, but I think it'd be better suited for the people, for the fans. Dubai would be better than Saudi Arabia. I can do that.
Starting point is 00:16:37 Let's do it in Dubai. Yeah, Dubai would be much better than Saudi Arabia. Oh, yeah, most definitely. There's more to do there. There's more to do there. But the funny thing about it is, you know what?
Starting point is 00:16:46 You know who has more money, huh? The Saudis. The Sheikh. Dubai. I don't know how to say his name the right way. But, oh, my goodness. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know how to say his name the right way.
Starting point is 00:16:59 I'm talking about loaded. Man. Different kind of money over there, man. Mohammed bin Sa it. Man. Different kind of money over there, man. Mohammed bin Saweed. Yeah, there it is. Hey, different kind of money over there, um.
Starting point is 00:17:12 Oh, yeah. But here's the problem you're going to run into. What's that? Anheuser-Busch ain't going to be happy. They can't sell no products over there.
Starting point is 00:17:22 Why not? Hold on. There's ways around everything, boy. You hear't sell no products over there. Why not? Hold on. There's ways around everything, boy. You hear me? I tell you what, I bet you I ain't going to get caught with an alcoholic beverage. You'll never beat the brakes off me. Throw my ass in jail. Listen, it's so much money
Starting point is 00:17:37 at stake. There will be certain rules for a certain, especially an event of this magnitude with this type of money at play. That's all right. I'm drinking water. I could go a week without an alcoholic beverage. Yeah, I got you.
Starting point is 00:17:55 And the rules aren't that bad. I went over those rules before you go. All those rules they had in place with the affection in public and the holding hands and wearing certain stuff. You can't do this. As far as when I was in guitar, you know, they went through the room like, really? They really like that?
Starting point is 00:18:11 Man, listen, it was just as casual and just as lenient once I was there for that month when I had to work the World Cup. It wasn't as bad as people made it seem. I take your word for it, but I ain't doing it. We dive into the competitive world of streaming, how she's turning so-called niche into mainstream gold, connecting audiences with stories that truly make them feel seen. What others dismiss as niche, we embrace as core. It's this idea that there are so many stories out there, and if you can find a way to curate and help the right person discover the right content. The term that we always hear from our audience is that they feel seen. Get a front row seat to where media, marketing, technology, entertainment, and sports collide. Starting point is 00:20:35 In the fall of 1986, Ronald Reagan found himself at the center of a massive scandal that looked like it might bring down his presidency. Did you make a mistake in sending arms to Tehran, sir? No. at the center of a massive scandal that looked like it might bring down his presidency. Did you make a mistake in sending arms to Tehran, sir? No. It became known as the Iran-Contra affair. And I'm not taking any more questions in just a second.
Starting point is 00:20:57 I'm going to ask... I'm Leon Nafak, co-creator of Slow Burn. In my podcast, Fiasco, Iran Contra, you'll hear all the unbelievable details of a scandal that captivated the nation nearly 40 years ago, but which few of us still remember today. The things that happened were so bizarre and insane, I can't begin to tell you.
Starting point is 00:21:21 Please do. To hear the whole story, listen to Fiasco, Iran Contra, on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:21:36 Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee, your hands can't hit what your eyes can't see. Muhammad Ali was never afraid to express himself loudly and boldly and stays true to form in Ali and Me, an eight-part Audible original.
Starting point is 00:21:50 Guided by his own words, this series explores Ali's life and legacy through never-before-heard audio recordings and discussions with those who knew him best. Muhammad had this real sense of his own personal values and principles, things he believed in, his own sense of conviction. Those convictions never wavered. Hosted by Muhammad's wife, Lani Ali, and his close friend, award-winning broadcaster, John Ramsey, Ali and Me goes beyond the boxing ring to delve deeply into Ali's extraordinary life through conversations with Billy Crystal, Mike Tyson, Rosie Perez, Common, Will Smith, and Bob Costas. It created a North Star for me of how I want to be in the world, you know. As a child, as a young person, he gave credence to my audacity.
Starting point is 00:22:43 There's no debate that this is the greatest global sports figure of our lifetime. Listen to Ali and Me, now on Audible. Former President Obama names his all-time starting NBA starting five. I'm from Chicago, so Michael Jordan is shooting guard. I put LeBron at point forward. I want a little shooting and a little flair, so I'm going to put my friend Steph Curry in the mix because we're a three-point era,
Starting point is 00:23:14 and he's the greatest shooter of all time, bar none. At the center, I'm going to put Hakeem, the dream Elijah one, whose game I think translates in today's game. The last spot is tough for me, but I've got to go with Katie, Kevin Durant, who might be the most efficient score in the history of the basketball. I'm feeling good about my starting about that five beating just about anybody.
Starting point is 00:23:38 What'd you say? Go Joe. I like, I like Jordan. I like Jordan. I like Jordan. I like the LeBron pick. I like the Steph pick. But he lost me a little bit.
Starting point is 00:23:48 He lost me with Elijah Warren. Why wouldn't we go with the most dominant big man of all time? Especially in his prime. I would have went with Shaq. I think he's looking at in today's game. You don't think Shaq would translate in today's game? In his prime. Not big Shaq would translate in today's game in his prime not big Shaq, I'm talking about Shaq Orlando Shaq
Starting point is 00:24:10 what? have you seen his fucking footwork when he was in Orlando? yeah oh my god yeah, absolutely now once he got a little bigger, put on a little bit more muscle you know, it was there but it wasn't like it was Orlando Shack. Oh, my goodness.
Starting point is 00:24:30 Ocho, you couldn't go to Dubai. You couldn't go overseas. Spirit don't go that far. Who don't? Greyhound or the Airways don't travel that far. Spirit. Oh, the Megabus go there? You been on the Megabus before?
Starting point is 00:24:42 Yeah, but that ain't Spirit. I know, Megabus cheap though. No, it ain't cheap. You should do that. I know you don't like road trips. Take the Megabus somewhere. Ain't nothing cheap. Ain't nothing cheap about going overseas. Nah, I mean, listen, depending on how early you
Starting point is 00:24:57 buy it now. Even if you buy it, I mean, you go United Emirates, it's still going to be $30,000, $40,000. How much? $30,000, $40,000 how much? $30,000, $40,000 nah listen look up a ticket
Starting point is 00:25:11 at United Emirates hey chat chat how much a ticket just randomly just give me the price of a ticket not business
Starting point is 00:25:21 just regular regular seat how much it is? ticket, not business, just regular, regular seat. How much it is? I know the chat ain't laughing about the Megabus. Don't act like y'all ain't been on the Megabus before. Y'all too rich
Starting point is 00:25:37 for me. Nah. Man, you take Spirit, they have to turn around and come back they run out of gas we don't have to turn around we just land and get some gas on United Emirates what's first class
Starting point is 00:26:01 see why you gotta go first class why you can't fly coach see 1500 that ain't bad Dwayne Jackson in the chat he just said it's 1500 1600 to Dubai oh no I 24,000 dollars
Starting point is 00:26:17 first class is 24,000 you don't need first class if you sitting there coach you get there at the same time why spend 40,000 you can spend 1500 you gonna you get there at the same time. Why spend $40,000? You can spend $1,500. You're going to be back there funky. I'm going to take me a shower, take me a couple of showers.
Starting point is 00:26:31 I'm going to give me some good old hot food. Hey, I can get some hot food before we get on the plane. I can take a shower before I leave the house. I'm paying $1,500 for my seat. And it's already roomy. The seats is roomy already on Emirates Airlines. And guess what?
Starting point is 00:26:45 I'm going to become a member of my hot club. You can't do that. Who you going to be with, Michelle? There you go. There you go. Don't worry about it. Hey, I don't need to be a member of my hot club
Starting point is 00:27:00 when I can get in before we even board. No, that ain't the same. That ain't the same. That ain't the same. It's the same. That's like saying scoring a touchdown in practice is the same as scoring one in the game. Is it? But it's different. You're going to be on the no-fly list when you get caught. No, you're going to get caught.
Starting point is 00:27:16 We're just going to be, you know, you're going to go to that side. Just be on the side. Just lay in there. Have a blanket over you and everything. You don't even know how to do it, Ocho. Nah. Nah. Uh-uh. have a blanket over and everything. You see, you already know how to do it, Ocho. Nah, nah,
Starting point is 00:27:29 uh-uh. Ooh, ooh, ooh. Big shadow gonna tear it up. Big shadow gonna tear it up. Hey. You scared, Ocho.
Starting point is 00:27:44 You scared. Ocho, who's your starting five My starting five Yep I want I want AI at the point Okay I want AI at the point My shooting guard
Starting point is 00:27:56 I'm going with Kobe Okay Okay Okay Okay. Okay. I think Ocho froze. He won't AI at the point. He won't Kobe at the two. Interested in seeing who he wants at the three.
Starting point is 00:28:24 Interested, more interested in who he wants to four. We already know he's going to take at the five. He said he wanted Shaq. He didn't understand why former President Obama didn't take... Huh? Obviously, at the three, I'm taking LeBron. At the two, I'm taking Mike. At the point,
Starting point is 00:28:46 I got to take Magic. Yeah. What? Yeah. Yeah. AI at the point you got Kobe at the two Kobe at the two I got Steph Steph
Starting point is 00:29:14 at the three that's okay right I can do that right you can do whatever you want that's your starting five hold on hold on I ain't finished I got Katie at the four
Starting point is 00:29:22 okay and I got Shaq I want Shaq. You don't like that? What do you think? You look small. Damn. Hold on.
Starting point is 00:29:34 Man, you got six foot AI and six two Steph Curry. Right. But you got to think. That's 30 and 30 right there. We dropping buckets now defense I mean I got a little liability yeah I was cooked
Starting point is 00:29:54 but listen I got KD I got KD I got Shaq them boys they gonna have to come to the party and play D I'm gonna take Braun at the 3 I'm gonna take Jordan at the 2 I going to take Braun at the three. I'm going to take Jordan at the two. I'm going to take Magic at the
Starting point is 00:30:08 point. Okay, that's a good one. That's nice. That's nice. I got to take the best power forward to ever play. I'm going to take Tim Duncan. Mr. Fundamentals. Yeah. Since you got Shaq, I can't take Shaq. I'll take
Starting point is 00:30:24 Kareem. Okay, that's a good one. That'sals. Yeah. And since you got Shaq, I can't take Shaq. I'll take Kareem. Okay, that's a good one. That's a good one. That's a good one. Sky hook you to death. I like that. An NBA exec rips Michael Porter Jr. as terribly overrated.
Starting point is 00:30:43 The execs believe that Denver is going to be stuck this year. Denver's second best player is going backward. Jamal hasn't been the same. There's something about Jamal's health and physical capacity right now that concerns me. Michael Porter Jr. is terribly overrated. He's a one-way
Starting point is 00:31:00 player. He's just a scorer. And I also think Denver has to assess to get an upgrade. Ocho, do you agree with this statement? Fuck no. What is he talking about? There are a lot of one-way players that are just scorers that are liability on defense. What is he talking about?
Starting point is 00:31:16 There's a lot of people like that in the NBA. And then there are a few players who are special, who are great on both ends of the court. They're good on offense and they're good on defense. Then there are a lot of people that are just scores. I mean, how is that an insult? There ain't a whole lot of players that are good on both ends of the court.
Starting point is 00:31:36 My point is that. That's why I don't understand this exec who should have let his name be known so we know who it is. Sound pretty personal to me. Has Denver won? Michael Porter Jr. got a ring, don't he? Okay, I'm just making sure. I just want to make sure I got
Starting point is 00:31:56 my ducks in a row. That's sound personal. I mean, look, he's streaky. He can get hot and shoot you out of the gym. Right. Or when he's cold, he cold. He'll break it up for you.
Starting point is 00:32:13 In your night house. For some reason, when he played the Lakers, he get ultra hot. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Ocho, now it's time for Q&A.
Starting point is 00:32:30 Q&A. Oh, man, look, I'm a TV... No, I'm not even going to switch back. I'm going to just stay here. Hey, Unc, you can hear me? What? I think there's another storm coming, too. Well, back to back. that's three weeks in a row
Starting point is 00:32:48 well I don't think it's not another storm like that though right I don't think so I think it's maybe the Gulf if I'm not mistaken it's brewing up Kobe Bryant said did Mike miss the ball or was it
Starting point is 00:33:04 underthrown it was underthrown and he kind of lost it. I mean, the worst thing that could possibly happen happened. He lost his balance and the guy ended up intercepting it. If he didn't lose his balance, that's the catch. Oh, for sure. Yeah, that's the catch. For sure. What you call it?
Starting point is 00:33:23 It's like, Aaron, like how unlucky must I be? Yeah. Was it Carr? Estar? Devontae ain't going to make a difference if Rodgers underthrows him by five to 10 yards. Relax. They've been together for eight, nine years.
Starting point is 00:33:41 They ain't going to have him. I thought tonight was one of Rodgers' best games that he's played since he's been there. Pat, almost 300 yards. I thought he was very, very accurate. He threw. He was very decisive with where he wanted to go with the ball. He didn't miss a whole lot of throws.
Starting point is 00:33:58 I thought this was one of his better games. 23 of 35, 294 touchdown, one interception. He was sacked three times. But I thought overall they played really, really well. Yeah. They didn't get the victory to show for it because the difference is when they got into the red zone,
Starting point is 00:34:14 they settled for field goals. Field goals. And when you get into the red zone, you need to score touchdowns. And what? They missed two. But the mere fact you try to kick field goals as opposed to uh getting touchdowns right but we'll see if uh if they do get Devontae we'll see the difference does it make but the thing is is that you have to be uh careful of Ocho yeah that when you strengthen one side or you think you're strengthening one side, the other side doesn't relax.
Starting point is 00:34:48 You get that a lot. Oh man, now we don't have to do what we normally do because they're going to be able to score points. And then you let up on your end and then all of a sudden, it snowballs. The Green Show said, well, the Cowboys win a Super Bowl in your life. Well, they did. They won
Starting point is 00:35:03 three in my life. No, they won a lot more than three. They won five in my lifetime. I was born in 68. So they won two in the 70s and they won three in the 90s. So they did win five Super Bowls in my lifetime. Now, I don't know if they're going to win any more in my lifetime, but they have
Starting point is 00:35:19 won five. I think they have a chance to win again. When things change, I'll leave it at that. Chase said, what's up Uncarnated 5 as receivers? Did y'all take pride in blocking? I know tight end is different, but on the Ravens, it seems like
Starting point is 00:35:37 they don't mind. Well, they're a running team. You got the block. You ain't got no choice. Look at that Brees Hall run. Look at Mike Williams block. Look at Lazard block. That's the difference. Anytime you see long runs by running back, the receivers are blocking.
Starting point is 00:35:55 Look at the 49ers. Look at Debo. Look at Iyuk. Look at Jennings. Look at Kittle. If you want your running back to have success if you want to have a successful running game your wide receivers have to block
Starting point is 00:36:09 and you got to make it a point of emphasis and you got to make it important to them I'm probably arguably might be the best blocking receiver ever ever ever because half the time I didn't have to touch nobody
Starting point is 00:36:28 just run them off yeah ask my running backs ask Rudy Johnson yeah well rest in peace Cedric Benson Larry's your baby we had Larry Johnson for a little bit you know that yeah he was watching when he got to y'all though
Starting point is 00:36:44 that's not nice That's not nice. That's not nice, though. Because, listen, when you do laundry, what you doing? You washing, right? So you clean yourself. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:53 But he had nothing. He was on fumes, Ocho. He already had almost 800 caries in his body in two years. Ain't no coming back from that, Ocho. Yeah, he was toting that pill, though.
Starting point is 00:37:04 He was toting. In Kansas City? Yeah, he was toting that thing, though. He was toting. In Kansas City? Yeah, he was toting that thing. He wasn't toting it for y'all. Yeah. Who else we had? Michigan running back, man. Last name was Perry. I can't remember his first name. He was good.
Starting point is 00:37:18 But yeah, I took pride in my blocker, man. I wasn't no Heinz Ward knocking people out. But I did what I could. I don't no Hans Ward knocking people out. But I did what I could. I don't even know. You was Cam Ward. Who? Man.
Starting point is 00:37:38 Hell no. Nah, but you look at guys in the West Coast system, West Coast wide receivers, you got to block. You got to. You got to. Kemper Norwood Jr. says, oh, my question is, who's the greatest NBA coach, Phil Jackson or Popovich, not including rings?
Starting point is 00:37:54 Oh, that's a good one. Yeah, who would be the best? Man, but I mean, but you can make a case that... Phil coached three of the top ten players in the history of the game. You could have a strong case that he did. Everybody has Jordan either one or two. A lot of people say Kobe is top five.
Starting point is 00:38:24 And a lot of people say Shaq is in the top ten. I think, look, I don't think anybody's going to get 11 like Phil has. I don't think anybody's going to get 11. No. Phil got 11? 11. He's got six with the Bulls
Starting point is 00:38:45 and five with the Lakers. Damn. I don't think anybody... I think Pop does more coaching. I think Phil did better managing egos. Right. And that's coaching in and of
Starting point is 00:39:08 itself. To get guys to buy in and to play for each other even if you don't like each other. Right. Go ahead. Pop had to deal with egos? No, I'm saying Phil managed egos.
Starting point is 00:39:22 Oh, I thought you were saying No, no, no. Pop is more like Coach Belichick. That's a good comparison. Very good comparison. The structure is there. It's what we do.
Starting point is 00:39:36 And his best player bought in. So he can ride Timmy like Coach Belichick rode Tom. So when everybody doesn't go down, if he got He can ride Timmy like Coach Belichick rode Tom. Right, right. So when everybody else goes down, if he got on Timmy, well, let me get my ish together. If he got on Tom, let me get my stuff together.
Starting point is 00:39:56 Oh, yeah. Because a lot of times coaches, they'll coach the team through their best player. Especially if they know he can handle it. So, I'm sure Tom at the time didn't take too kindly of it, but here's the thing though, Ocho. He didn't show it.
Starting point is 00:40:17 You win. Tommy would have done, Tom would have done anything to win. Right. Even swallow his pride and let Coach Belichick say some things or coach him in a manner that
Starting point is 00:40:30 he felt was unnecessary at times. I'm sure Tim felt the same way. But at the end of the day, what do we try to do here? We're trying to win championships. One common goal at the end of the day. And if that helps us win championships,
Starting point is 00:40:47 let's do it. Jay Garrett exclusive. Ogunnocho, most players don't get drafted to their home state team. With both of you growing up in Georgia and Miami, would you two have loved to get drafted to play for the Falcons or the Dolphins? Absolutely not.
Starting point is 00:41:04 Hell yeah. Absolutely not. Hell yeah. Absolutely not. I wish I could have played at home, man. I could have had all my homeboys, man, out of the city at each game. But we would have been lit, boy. No way. God know you, Dwayne. He put me in Colorado.
Starting point is 00:41:22 He hadn't even heard of Colorado when I went there. You wouldn't want to play in Atlanta? Hell no. You got to realize, Ocho, the Falcons were terrible when I was growing up. Okay, that's why. Okay, okay, understandable. Well, the Dolphins wasn't that good when I was growing up. They just had a really good defense.
Starting point is 00:41:40 No. When you was growing up, they had Dan Marino. No, I'm saying when it was time for me to get drafted, they had Dan Marino. No, I'm saying, when it was time for me to get drafted, they had a really good defense. Oh, would they have Zach? Yeah. Jason. Jason Taylor? Shit, Pat on one side,
Starting point is 00:41:56 Sam Madison on the other. I think Brock Merriman. I think, if I'm not mistaken, was it Jeremiah Beal? That might have been a little bit later. But yeah, they were nice on defense, boy.
Starting point is 00:42:14 Claude Hector said, Uncle Nocho, thank you for both of what y'all do. Do you guys plan on bringing back the Stay With Me shirts? I think we're bringing them back as a hoodie, right? Oh, yeah. I need that. I need that. I need that. I need that.
Starting point is 00:42:32 Oh, stay tuned. This Friday, there's a drop that's going to happen. Can't tell you what it is, but stay tuned. Speaking of drops, where's my That's My Michelle shirt? I made sure you didn't get it.
Starting point is 00:42:48 And you sold out. But I ordered it. I paid for it, though. We're going to refund your money. Because I know you're going to come on here with it all. Hey, I'm sorry. Listen, I've been waiting by the mailbox, waiting on it. I wore the full shirts.
Starting point is 00:43:06 That's my Michelle. I think Night Clap and two other ones. I need them. I need them. I can walk through the airport. That's my Michelle. Jamie J. Breezy Williams. Hey, Uncle Nocho.
Starting point is 00:43:22 Your girl J. Breezy from Mod Squad here. My son's 15th birthday is tomorrow my daughter's birthday is tomorrow also can you give can you and everyone give Brendan Williams from Chicago a big happy birthday Ocho can you sing love you both keep killing it his name
Starting point is 00:43:40 Brendan your mom Jamie wants to wish you a very happy birthday. She said you're an incredible 15 year old, bright future ahead of you. Listen to your mom, stay in school, do your homework, say no to drugs, and hey bro,
Starting point is 00:43:56 sky's the limit. So we want to wish you a happy 15th birthday to Brendan from Chicago. Happy birthday to you. How do I sound? Happy birthday to you.
Starting point is 00:44:14 God damn, I know I sound good. Happy birthday. That's it. That's it. That's it. I can't get too much. I can't get too much. I can blow now.
Starting point is 00:44:24 Happy. Oh, that's it. That's it. I'm going to let it go. Let it go. Hey, I know that get too much. I can't get too much. And I can blow now. Happy. Oh, that's it. That's it. I'm going to let it go. Let it go. Hey, I know that thing sound good. You don't want to admit it, but I know. I know.
Starting point is 00:44:35 Happy birthday. I got a voice now. That I do got. That's one thing about it. I'm Michael Kassin, founder and CEO of 3C Ventures and your guide on Good Company, the podcast where I sit down with the boldest innovators shaping what's next. In this episode, I'm joined by Anjali Sood, CEO of Tubi, for a conversation that's anything but ordinary. We dive into the competitive world of streaming, how she's turning so-called niche into mainstream gold, connecting audiences with stories that truly make them feel seen. What others dismiss as niche, we embrace as core. It's this idea that there are so many stories out
Starting point is 00:46:16 there. And if you can find a way to curate and help the right person discover the right content, the term that we always hear from our audience is that they feel seen. Get a front row seat to where media, marketing, technology, entertainment, and sports collide. And hear how leaders like Anjali are carving out space and shaking things up a bit in the most crowded of markets. Listen to Good Company on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. In the fall of 1986, Ronald Reagan found himself at the center of a massive scandal
Starting point is 00:47:00 that looked like it might bring down his presidency. Did you make a mistake in sending arms to Tehran, sir? No. No one was let go. It became known as the Iran-Contra affair. And I'm not taking any more questions in just a second. I'm going to ask Attorney General. I'm Leon Nafak, co-creator of Slow Burn.
Starting point is 00:47:21 In my podcast, Fiasco, Iran-Contra, you'll hear all the unbelievable details of a scandal that captivated the nation nearly 40 years ago, but which few of us still remember today. The things that happened were so bizarre and insane, I can't begin to tell you. Please do. Muhammad Ali was never afraid to express himself loudly and boldly and stays true to form in Ali and Me, an eight-part Audible original. Guided by his own words, this series explores Ali's life and legacy through never-before-heard audio recordings and discussions with those who knew him best. Muhammad had this real sense of his own personal values and principles, things he believed in, his own sense of conviction. Those convictions never wavered. Hosted by Muhammad's wife, Lani Ali,
Starting point is 00:48:37 and his close friend, award-winning broadcaster, John Ramsey, Ali and Me goes beyond the boxing ring to delve deeply into Ali's extraordinary life through conversations with Billy Crystal, Mike Tyson, Rosie Perez, Common, Will Smith, and Bob Costas. It created a North Star for me of how I want to be in the world, you know. As a child, as a young person, he gave credence to my audacity. There's no debate that this is the greatest global sports figure of our lifetime. Listen to Ali and Me,
Starting point is 00:49:08 now on Audible. Alex Figueroa, Sharp, what is your opinion on Corey Dillon for the Hall of Fame? Ocho? Yeah. Corey Dillon for the Hall of Fame? Goddamn. Yeah. Corey Dillon for the Hall of Fame. Goddamn right. I don't have the numbers in front of me.
Starting point is 00:49:29 He's one of the best to do it. But when I think about players like Corey, Corey not being in when he should be in, I also think about players like, just one comes to mind. Fred Taylor also deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. Definitely. I think the fact that he played in Jacksonville is not doing him any justice,
Starting point is 00:49:50 but he should be in. If I'm not mistaken, is the left tackle Tony Buscelli in the Hall of Fame already? Yes. He got in a couple years ago. If Tony Buscelli is in, Fred Taylor deserves to be in. Two players for the Bengals that need to be in the Hall of Fame. Willie Anderson
Starting point is 00:50:04 and Corey Dillon. Yeah, because right now y'all only got one. I think y'all only got Anthony Munoz. Nah. Ken Riley. And Ken Riley. Yeah, Anthony Munoz and Ken Riley. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I stopped giving my opinion because the headlines
Starting point is 00:50:23 always say it's Hall of Famer. Shannon Sharp doesn't think someone deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. So y'all, if it is no clickbait, right. Ask me about my brother. I'm going to say, yeah,
Starting point is 00:50:33 he deserves to be in anything. Anybody else? I ain't got no comments. Right. Oh, can you please do it? Uh, please do a birthday.
Starting point is 00:50:43 Shout out to my husband. He turned 40 today. Happy birthday, KP. Jamie, we would absolutely wish a happy birthday to your husband, KP. Happy 40th birthday, bro. Big milestone. 40. 4-0.
Starting point is 00:50:56 Yeah. Life has just started. Man, I remember when I turned 40. Yeah, yeah, I remember. I remember, too. I remember, too, 16 years ago. I'll never forget it because I I tell you what I did I went to a little little swingers club called trapeze here in Miami on my 40th birthday yeah yeah yeah that was a good old time I shook the covers in the morning yeah
Starting point is 00:51:19 okay that was a good old time way back then. Yeah. Yeah. So, well, yeah, I'm just,
Starting point is 00:51:28 I don't really need to be thinking about old memories, but you were real at 40. Huh? I think you were real at 40. Oh shit. I was my bad. Yeah, shit. I was. My bad. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:47 I take that back. Aaron Staples. Von Miller was on my flight today trying to hide. His hoodie was pulled so tight, could only see his eyes. I saw his face later. His disguise just brought more attention to him. Have y'all ever wore disguise in public? No.
Starting point is 00:52:04 Nah. I don't wear disguise because when you wear disguise it forces people to really try to figure out who it is. Yeah. Yeah. But what I do, I blend in so well you probably wouldn't even notice me in public anyway. I blend in with everybody. Nothing
Starting point is 00:52:19 flashy, you know, just normal sweats, flip flops, a hat, sunglasses. You probably know if I got coffee in my hand or I got McDonald's in my hand, that's a dead giveaway. Other than that, you'll never notice me. No, I've never worn a disguise, but people already say, I knew it was you.
Starting point is 00:52:35 I could tell by that voice. So you might as well just go ahead and just disguise. I mean, who am I going to be. Who am I going to be? What am I going to be? Put a fake mustache on? Get you a fake beard? Maybe get a fake afro? Nah, that's too much attention.
Starting point is 00:52:55 What you doing with an afro on 2024? Nah. Get you a nice beard. Maybe I get me some cornrows. I like that. I like that. I like that. Cornrows. No.
Starting point is 00:53:14 Isaiah Lancaster said, Okanocho, Okanocho, nightcap is the best sports pod and it's not even close. Do the 49ers have a chance to beat the KC this Sunday?
Starting point is 00:53:24 Yes. Yeah, they got a chance. Definitely have a chance to beat the KC this Sunday? Yes. Yeah, they got a chance. Definitely got a chance. Are they going to win? Probably not. Where's this game? The KC or 49ers? I don't think they could have been playing this
Starting point is 00:53:47 goddamn game in the Himalayas it don't matter I just saw Trav at the game tonight he and Taylor was at the game in New York you know he's from Cleveland. Basketball?
Starting point is 00:54:07 Baseball. Oh, the Guardians. That's right, the Guardians. I forgot the Guardians are playing. Oh, they coming off the bye. Yeah, so he don't have to be to work till Wednesday. Yeah. That must be nice.
Starting point is 00:54:23 Yeah. We got we got half a day Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. We had to be back by noon on Monday. I remember them days.
Starting point is 00:54:39 I remember seeing everybody all the other teams getting off a whole week. Not on my shanty and watch what getting no damn whole week off. I mean, now it's required. You got to get the whole week off. Mike wasn't playing that. That wouldn't happen, though, Joe.
Starting point is 00:54:55 It was not happening. Yes, they absolutely have a chance to beat the Kansas City. Rematch of the Super Bowl. Yeah. But I don't know. Is he not going to play? No. He's out.
Starting point is 00:55:11 And Jordan Mason, I think, is out as well, if I'm not mistaken. I could be wrong. Jadavious Ward, I'm not sure if he's playing. Wow. A big blow. Those are some big blows if they're not there mhm well we got time
Starting point is 00:55:32 we got Thursday and Saturday before we make our prediction oh yeah no C-Mac nope Oh, yeah. Yeah. No C-Mac, no. Mm-mm. Jordan Mason is questionable.
