Yeah, yeah.
Every corner, yeah.

Sometimes you got to establish dominance just to get them a better understanding
of what you're getting yourself into.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's going to be like this for the next 20.
I mean, it'll be a little long for you.
Right, right, right.
I'm thinking I'm somewhere around 20-something.
But then you see it.
Because I ain't going to quit until it quit.
Yeah.
You good?
And no, you're going to...
Hold on, hold on.
You told me you had your eyes on something.
What that's looking like?
That looks good. I promise you. Hey, I looking like? That looks good.
Promising.
I feel like I'm a detective. I got a promising
lead. You feeling like
Columbo? You got one more question.
Okay.
Yeah, I got a promising lead.
I think this is the one right here.
Sure do. Okay.
Okay.
What's the letter of her first name. It started with M.
I don't even know her name.
Now that you mentioned it,
she ain't even told me.
Do you ever think about that?
Uh,
do you ever think about the idea of soulmates from past lives?
Have you ever considered the possibility of meeting someone you knew in a past life?
Absolutely not.
No.
Great question, but absolutely not.
Mm-mm.
I mean, I ain't a liar.
I ain't thought about those.
I ain't never thought about that.
I don't even know how do you turn.
None of that.
Nah.
Nah, you didn't want me to.
When they spin the block, it's because
whatever they thought was the better option,
it ain't work out. It ain't work.
It ain't work out. Oh, now you want to come
back? Uh-uh. I'm good. Stay over there. Nah, n work. It ain't work out. Oh, now you want to come back.
I'm good.
Stay over there.
Nah,
nanny boo boo.
I'm good.
No.
Hey,
yeah.
Hey,
you don't let that man put all the miles on that car.
That car.
Hey,
uh, uh,
at least with me.
Okay,
baby,
it was two owners.
Oh,
absolutely not.
Oh,
dude.
Bye.
Girl, girl, fuck not. Oh, dude. Bye. Girl, fuck you.
Yeah.
You know what I'm talking about?
We think alike with that.
And that ain't.
Nah, you can't sit me down and go off and do what you want to do.
And then it don't work out with them over there.
And think you're going to come back and beat me up.
This ain't the Bright Line.
This ain't the Metro Rail
This ain't the Metro Bus
What you thought

and then hey
hey
three four years together
three four years apart
they get back together
that ain't me
boy let's see
you got about three four months
three four years
but
shoot but hitting two months
is getting real sketchy.
J213 said,
Hey, Okoncho,
thanks for the word yesterday.
We found out we're having a baby girl.
My question is,
what failure do you experience
ended up being your greatest lesson?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Ain't no failure, bro.
It's delayed success.
He's talking specifically about being a father.
Oh, life in general?
Oh, okay, okay, okay.
Just life.
I think he's just talking about life.
Yeah, yeah.
Something that didn't go the way you expected,
but it turned out being a great lesson.
Yeah, bro.
You got to take the bumps and bruises. This is the greatest thing in life because you never know what to expect. yeah everything is going to be up and down
life is the greatest thing in life
because you never know what to expect
and always expect the unexpected
I think life would be perfect if this motherfucker came with a
goddamn instruction booklet but it doesn't
and that's what makes life
in general so great
damn that's a good question
I like that
Danny said damn that's a good question i like that danny said oh you're now single do you have any stories that you can share with the fam that
otherwise
now let me get this let me get this och Ocho is currently in therapy.
He's going to therapy once a week.
He's making great progress.
I can report that Ocho is a different person now.
And so I'm happy that he's chosen this path.
Sometimes you have to go blind in order for you to see and so now I'm happy
that
that New Orleans is going to be
you know
you're going to come out there
let's reel it back in a little bit
wait a minute let's sit down back in a little bit wait a minute
let's sit down and have a conversation
cause I got the
I'm in a healing stage
now what I don't need us to do
is while I'm in a healing stage
is bring
that back in
the fold while I'm healing because
I can't put a bandaid on a gas and expect it to be healed by the time we get to February 6th.
Okay.
So let me finish these therapy sessions.
And if I can,
if I can withstand the,
the,
the,
the,
the visuals of that individual being in my circumference and I'm comfortable because my anxiety, you know, my anxiety bad.
You get me?
Yeah.
My anxiety bad.
So I don't want to spaz out and start like, you know, tearing up
or getting emotional at the wrong time.
So I need to make sure I'm able to handle.
Now I'm good.
Never mind.
I'm good.
I'm going to be good.
I'm good.
I'm good. I'm good. I'm good. I'm good nevermind I'm good I'm be good I'm good I'm good I'm good I'm good
I'm good I'm good
I'm be good
hey you know what
I had no idea
Milwaukee was way up there man
yeah Wisconsin is up there Ocho
where the hell you thought it was
I didn't know
cause I don't know the map
I don't know the globe
I don't know the map that hard
listen I ain't been in school
that's the Midwest Ocho I ain't been in school in 47 years man hell it don't know the globe. I don't know the map that hard. Listen, I ain't been in school That's the Midwest, Ocho. I ain't been in school
in 47 years, man.
Hell, it don't seem like you did anything when you was there.
I did? Well, I was a scholar.
I made the dean's list.
What?
Yeah, I made it. Man, you ate
Jimmy Dean's sausage. That's the only dean.
All the deans. No, we not gonna do that.
I made the dean's list.
At three out of four semesters
Ocho
yeah
we do know you went to JUCO
what does that have to do with
me making the dean's list that's the 13th grade
so now JUCO
the 13th grade that's how you
that's how you treat us
we all
couldn't go to Savannah State man
hey hey I was like, oh, man, see, we all couldn't go to Savannah State, man.
Hey, y'all, what I'm saying.
Why are you – hey, my grades are already – you already know my grades were bad.
I couldn't have got in prison with my grades.
It looked like you couldn't have got in prison with yours either.
Actually, it took me going to Santa Monica to get myself together,
which that's how I got that semester at Harvard.
Once I got in, I got the ball rolling and understood, you know what?
Let me just do it.
Let me do it the way my grandma told me to do it and focus on school first and stop trying to put football.
Yeah.
And once I did that, it took off for me.
Yeah.
Look at it.
Uh-huh.
Look at his smiley chat.
Looking like a donkey eating briars through a barbed wire fence. Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Look at him smiling, champ. Looking like a donkey eating briars
through a barbed wire fence.
I'm calm.
I'm calm.
You know?
I know you're happy.
Grown man, grown man, grown man.

You were thinking about some of that too.
I was thinking about some business too.
I promise you it wasn't none of business.
I promise you that.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah, listen.
I wouldn't tell you no lie.
Matter of fact, I wouldn't even board it up.
I'm not going to say a lie to you.
I have a notepad.
She had a computer,
and we would jot down some of the things we need to do
and the timing in which it needs to be done
before certain days.
That's all.
What you want, Real?
You miss me?
I miss you, too.
I was wrong.
You know, it happens.
You know, I'm wrong.
I'm willing to go to therapy,
you know, heal myself. But you You know, I'm wrong. I'm willing to go to therapy, you know,
heal myself.
But you know,
you're the only one for me.
I effed up,

I effed up.
Me.
You know,
I,

Hey,

Ocho don't like to admit when he wrong,
but I'm wrong.
Right,
right, right. And I'm mad enough to stand to admit when he wrong but I'm wrong right right
right and I'm mad enough to stand here the day before and say I was wrong that's that's hey
hey that's a that's a great soliloquy I like it how you do it yeah you say I did it right there
Ocho yeah but Ocho but you got hey hold on hold on you know I know I know that cry won't kill you. You want me to cry too? I'm wrong. Yeah, okay, okay.

We got too much.
That's a good one.
That's a good one.
Hey, man, it's about business right now, man.
It's about business.
You know, I understand what you, I know you mean well.
I know you mean well, but yeah, it's about business.

You know, I got too much going on right now.
I totally remember that.
I got the blinders on like a horse at the Kentucky Derby.
See, you're going to believe.
See, that's what I say.
Me, I said all this aside.
If that means you and I
are going to be together,
I said all this aside.
This don't mean nothing.
What good is this
if I ain't got somebody to share it with?
Not just somebody.
I like that. That was a good one right there.
Then you let a little tear come down.
Then you let a little tear come down.
I'm just saying, Ocho.
That's how you got to play, Ocho.
I'm just saying.
That's it.
Because they know
how you feel about these jobs

Did you make a mistake in sending arms to Tehran, sir?
No.
It became known as the Iran-Contra affair.
And I'm not taking any more questions in just a second.
I'm going to ask...
I'm Leon Nafak, co-creator of Slow Burn.

Muhammad Ali was never afraid to express himself loudly and boldly and stays true to form in Ali and Me, an eight-part Audible original. Guided by his own
words, this series explores Ali's life and legacy through never-before-heard audio recordings and
discussions with those who knew him best. Muhammad had this real sense of his own personal values and
principles, things he believed in, his own sense of conviction. Those convictions never wavered.
Hosted by Muhammad's wife, Lani Ali, and his close friend, award-winning broadcaster, John
Ramsey, Ali and Me goes beyond the boxing ring to delve deeply into Ali's extraordinary
life through conversations with Billy Crystal, Mike Tyson, Rosie Perez, Common, Will Smith,
and Bob Costas.
It created a North Star for me of how I want to be in the world, you know.
As a child, as a young person, he gave credence to my audacity.
There's no debate that this is the greatest global sports figure of our lifetime.
Listen to Ali and Me, now on Audible.
You know, Joe had a situation where during the game, his
home was invaded. Joe, as
someone that's been through that, yes,
you feel like your privacy has been invaded
by the worst way. Somebody came
into your
home uninvited went through ramble through i don't know if they took anything um and like you said
joe you know you you know you play you ask to be a professional athlete to be in this role but it
doesn't make it easier yeah and it seems to be something that's reoccurring ocho that uh and
they said it's a gang that came up from South America and they're
targeting athletes
while they're playing. If you're playing,
clearly you're not home.
And the likelihood of somebody being there
because, hey, family, friends, and loved ones,
they're going to be at the game watching you.
So this is the best time.
It's a coordinated attack.
But
I don't wish bad on nobody, but I'm going to tell you what my grandma used to say.
I don't wish bad on nobody, but I don't wish good on them either.
So if, and I saw two other day at his press conference, he's had armed security.
Say, y'all might need to think twice.
Joe Burrow issued a statement addressing the burglary that occurred at his Cincinnatiincinnati area home while the bingos were on the road to face
the cowboys i feel like my privacy has been violated in more ways than one uh and it's
already out there and i want uh i would want out there and that's more than i care to share
we live a public life one of the least favorite parts of that is the lack of privacy. I agree. And that's been
difficult for me to deal with my entire
career. Tua
announced that he has hired armed security
to guard his house. Just let it be known
they are armed. And I hope if you decide
to go to my house, you'll pay twice.
It's crazy, huh? It's crazy.
We are in different times.
We're in different times as people. We are in different times. We're in different times as people.
We're in different times economically.
And, you know, people are doing what's necessary to...
I don't even know the way to put it.
They're taking chances.
They're taking life-altering chances
to take from others and their hard work,
you know, and they're willing to do whatever.
Hey, listen.
And I'm willing to do whatever to protect them.
Eye for eye.
You know?
But, man, that's unfortunate.
And back to the situation with, obviously, contractually, from a business standpoint, it's impossible.
I love the words that all the players are saying about T1 to stay.
And I'm sure we have a lot of Bengal fans in the chat.
I think it would be unfair to T.
It would be unfair to Jamar Chase, who is due a hefty deal.
You know?
And I think it's also annoying from a business standpoint
it's impossible to pay Chase and T.
It's impossible to pay Chase what he's worth
and pay T what he is worth as well
and still have them the same.
At some point,
the person that would be getting
the shit into the stick is T Higgins.
I think T Higgins deserves to go to a team
where he can be the number one guy,
it could be his show,
and he can get the money that he deserves
as a number one receiver,
which I see him as.
I love the thought of Tee still being there,
but the way the business works,
you can't afford both of them.
You just can't.
I know Joe Burrow is saying all the right things,
and I would love to see both of them stay there,
but it's just impossible.
It's just impossible because of the type of receiver
that T. Higgins is. You don't
take a hometown discount.
You don't take a pay cut because you only
get so many chances.
You only get...
No, not the first one.
Not the first contract.
You don't take no pay cut. Now now if you want to take one down the road
you don't have some chill yeah and we want to try to keep this thing together win a championship
but not the first one the first one you got to try to get you got to listen with this game with
this game of football you need your security and you're getting older you don't get younger
it's not going but it's not going backward. Listen, as much as I love
the thought of T staying there,
he deserves his money.
The right money. Not just anything.
Now we're just going to throw you this and see
if you're going to be happy. Come on now.
You can't do it like that.
You can't do it like that.
Yeah.
No.
Hey. And Joe's like, hey, my privacy has been invaded. yeah nah hey so
and Joe's like hey my privacy
been invaded hey
I think a little shorty
Joe didn't want y'all to know about that shorty
yeah
early in the morning
Joe gonna hand me something
Joe gonna hand me a knife
right but he don't want people to know You know, Joe going to hand me something. Joe going to hand me a knife.
Right.
Right.
Privacy.
But he don't want people to know.
That's the problem.
Because guess what?
Right.
Sports Illustrated or somebody model called the police.
Right.
Right.
Just say somebody called the police.
Oh, they.
That's all y'all had to do.
You got to leave your name now.
You know, when you call 911, you got to 911, you gotta say, who am I speaking to?
Ah.
Yeah.
Your big neck man. Hey, that's how I got out.
But that's the life you live, man.
That's the life you live. It's the price
you pay for fame and being
who you are.
Leota Rose,
HeyNightCap, Unk, and Ocho,
we know you guys dominated football,
but what other sports were you good
at? What made you stick with football
as a career? Yeah, I ain't got no choice
but to stick to football. It was the only way out.
I wanted to be just like him.
There was no other outlet, you know?
I wish I definitely
wasn't going to be no academic scholar.
Yeah.
No, you definitely want to be the Rose Guller.
You can't read a road map.
You definitely be the Rose Guller.
Yeah.
No, man.
I mean, for me, look, and people think I'm lying,
but football was my worst sport.
Basketball, I was better at basketball.
I was better at track and field
but I wanted to be just like my brother and people think I'm lying when I said my first
college girlfriend looked just like him he'll tell you my sister will tell you my mom will tell you
my college girlfriend they could have been sisters same haircut same, same overbite, same
complete, Ocho, I'm telling you,
if you didn't know, you would swear they were
sisters.
And they were,
they had to be
eight, ten years apart.
Tammy was,
I'm calling her name, Lord have mercy.
She was the same,
she was the same age as my brother.
So, and I'm three same age as my brother. I'm three years younger
than my brother.
Cookie is
three years.
So probably about six or seven years.
No.
I mean, we
hadn't talked.
30 years, probably.
Nah, she got remarried.
No, man.
Come on, man.
Can I tell you something?
Can I tell you something?
Not remarried.
She got married.
Just because there's a goalie in gold on me, you can't scold.
Yeah.
No? Nah. marriage. You got married. Just because there's a goalie and goal done me, you can't score. Yeah. No.
No.

uh being a father means to the both of you bro for me it's the responsibility of knowing i have
something someone to count on that's dependent on me.
I have something to come home to something,
someone that I hope that one day is going to look up to me and says,
I want to be like him. I want to work hard. I want to be respectful.
I want to be humble. Man, it's,
I remember the first time my kids called me dad. Cause you know,
you know what I'm saying? To hear
dad.
Yeah.
One of the greatest feelings in the world, man.
Being a father.
It is.
It absolutely is.
It doesn't come without
trial and tribulation, trust me.
Especially if you got daughters.
Ain't nothing better.

If you had teenage daughters, you know what i'm talking about man

but you know what yeah it takes all that to build a solid foundation because you really don't know
yeah you got to go through some adversity they're to try you now. At some point, you got a
whole firm. You still got to be there.
Like I tell them, hey, the relationship
ain't going to change. I'm always going to be there.
You're always going to be the child. I'm going to love you.
But there's going to be
a time and a place that, hey,
I'm really not going to be able to control anything
for yourself. I'm just going to be able to
advise you, and then you have to make the best
decision for you. That's it. But until then, get your ass in the house.
