The 49ers motivated to get a DePurdy deal done sooner than later.
Should the 49ers sign Purdy to a long-term deal, Ocho,
or should they use the franchise tag on him?
Well, listen, they're not going to franchise the quarterback.
You're not going to upset him.
He's already been playing on minimum waves.
I hate saying it like that because it is it.
Hell, Baltimore upset.
They didn't care about upsetting Lamar.
I mean, I...
I'm just saying, Ocho, they upset him.
No, they didn't, though.
But they franchised it.
He played on the franchise tag.
Oh, that was a best ride.
He sure did.
Yeah, but you know, they have to pay.
I know a lot of teams kicking themselves in the butt.
Yeah.
Hey, Atlanta Falcons, that $180,000 that you gave,
what you call them, you could put another $40 million
that gave that to Lamar Jackson.
Now, can you imagine
Lamar Jackson in Atlanta?
Oh, my goodness.
We'll never know.
We'll never know.
We'll never know.
Unless you're playing...
That would have been
the second coming of Michael B.
Oh, yeah.
That would have been the second...
Oh, can you imagine
him on that turf?
In that building?
Man, that's...
Man, there'd have been so many eights.
There'd have been just as many eights jerseys as there were seven.
Yeah.
At the apex of Mike B.
Yeah.
That city, this is Lamar Jackson in Atlanta.
They would have been cooking, boy.
They would have been cooking.
That's need to hear it, though, because he is a Raven.
And he's only going to be a Raven.
He ain't being it.
He's going to have a statue out front just like Ray Lewis.
He's going to be the greatest Raven in NFL and Raven history.
And they've had some great ones.
You know, you got Ray and you got Ogden and you got Reed and you got Suggs.
But Lamar Jackson is going to go down as the greatest Raven ever.
Yeah.
But the thing, back to the Purdy situation,
you know good and well
they franchising Purdy.
You know that?
You don't think so?
Okay.
You know,
come on now,
come on now.
You know,
I'm not trying to,
I'm trying to keep it cute here.
You know good and well
they're not franchising Purdy.
You know,
they're going to take care of it.
They're going to take care of it. I'm going to just leave itdy. Maybe they're going to take care of it. They're going to take care of it.
I'm going to just leave it at that.
They're going to take care of it.
And they should. But the question though, Joe, the question.
Yeah. He's been
to an NFC Championship. He's been to two NFC Championship
games. He's been to a Super Bowl.
This year had a lot of injuries.
What's
the number
are we putting them at
55 to 60 million
or are we somewhere between 35
and 45 million let's ask the question
I don't think the question is the deal
I think it's the
number
in the deal right I say
30-45
30-45 range
you know
I'm not sure
you know
what his agent
may be thinking
of what his agent
wants to do
but knowing an agent
the agent wants to get
as much as possible
oh yeah
they trying to
because everybody's
trying to reset the market
I'm sure
they're trying to like
hey
whoa whoa whoa
let's slow down a little bit
now we talk about
Brock Perdue
we ain't talking about reset the market type quarterback now.
All I know is, hold on.
He's done something Dak Prescott has never done.
Been to an NFC Championship game.
Gone to the Super Bowl.
Dak got 60.
So what's your argument for Purdy not to get 62?
I just want to hear it.
Hey, listen.
When it comes to negotiations, if they go in there with Dak and put it on the table and say it just like that write that on paper and slap that down slap that
down on brother lynch's desk and who else got to see it well you ain't got no argument you
you have the argument but listen as as a football person as a football person that understands the
game and understand the different positions, you know,
Brock Prudy is not a $60 million quarterback.
And I mean that with no disrespect.
All I know is the market says I am.
Okay.
Look at all the guys that got $55 million and above.
Right.
How many of them have been to an NFC championship game?
That guy's $60 million. He's never had.
What's the guy in Jacksonville?
Trevor Lawrence. He never had.
Tua, he never had.
When you think about
a quarterback making that kind of money,
60 million
or above, you're looking at a quarterback
that you say to yourself,
well, you know what,
even with the injuries that have happened around me,
my quarterback,
his play can elevate everybody else.
Yes.
When everybody is here,
his play is still playing
at that elevated level.
So what goes on around him
doesn't matter
because we're paying him $60 million.
He can do what Patrick Mahomes would do.
Let me ask you a question.
He can play well in moments when it matters.
No, no, no, no.
You can't.
But let me ask you this.
If I took Chase from Burrow,
you still believe he can get him to the AFC Championship game?
I'm going to leave him T. Higgins.
I'm going to leave him everybody else,
but I'm taking Chase.
It'd be a little bit more difficult. It'd be a little bit more difficult because where are you going to leave him T. Higgins. I'm going to leave him everybody else, but I'm taking Chase. It'd be a little bit more difficult.
It'd be a little bit more difficult
because where are you going to get the production from?
You have to be that more creative offensively
in trying to fill out the production that Chase would give you
if he was on the field.
So how do you get that off of the court?
That makes his job that much more difficult.
You've got to get the production from somewhere
that Chase would give you on the offense.
And that's the hard part he said part he said well while
you're trying to tell me i didn't elevate my play tell me other than patrick mahomes who could
i've reached my case i mean because that's my argument if i'm his agent right i'm saying you
telling me well you know this guy uh he lost juwan jennings he inings. Jennings was out for a game or two, I think.
Aiyuk went down early in the season.
He was lost for a season.
We lost McCaffrey.
We lost Mason.
We lost Berendo for a game.
Okay.
Deebo was inconsistent this year.
Yeah.
We ended up losing McTrent.
So I'm just trying to figure out other than my homes.
Now,
Josh Allen makes a compelling place because he lost his two top receivers.
And you see where he got them in the playoff.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So Josh Allen agent,
and they're about to do a big deal with him.
He's probably going to get two 85,
300 million.
Josh Allen. He just got paid. He about to get $285 million, $300 million. Who? Josh Allen.
He just got paid, huh?
He about to get paid again.
Already?
Yes.
He got paid two years ago, three years ago.
It's time's up.
That's quarterback.
We don't let them get too far into the deal, Ochoa.
Okay, okay, okay, okay.
That's everybody else we let get far into the deal, not the quarterback. Right, okay, okay. That's everybody else we let get far into the deal.
Not the quarterback.
Right, okay, I got you.
I got you.
Okay, let me take that back.
Not certain quarterbacks.
Yeah, I...
I'm glad you cleared that up.
That's Ash back there laughing.
Jordan.
Oh.
You got my trash can
full of, uh, beer cans. Oh. You got my trash can full of
beer cans.
No.
It's beer.
It's beer.
You know Ash from the South.
She got a pickup truck.
She be throwing the cans right in the back.
But look, they say they're motivated.
Yeah.
You don't want to have this thing lingering, Ocho.
You want to get it done sooner rather than later.
Let's get a number.
They're going to lose some people, though.
Would I be surprised if Trent left?
No.
You got Bosa.
Yeah.
You got Bosa making big dollars.
Think about it. Hufanga
is up. There's
Ward. It's up. Yeah.
Wentzicum is going to probably want to re-note. I don't know
when the last time Fred Warner went in. He's probably
going to want to do something with his deal. Right.
Very nice, bro.
You got Debo. You got Ayuk.
You got Kittle. And now you're about to pay a guy 50 mil
right
I say 40
45
45 is a good number
Trent go
I'm gonna tell you who gonna pay Trent top dollar
who?
the Chiefs
absolutely
absolutely
because the
the left and right tackle played
when the Chiefs has been abysmal all season long.
Ocho, check this out.
Yeah.
Joe Milton III responds to angry Patriots fans on IG Live
who are mad about not getting the first overall pick.
He says, I ain't played football since preseason.
If y'all was in my shoes, y'all would give me an opportunity to play.
Would y'all go out there and not show up and not show out so y'all was in my shoes, y'all would give me an opportunity to play. Would y'all go out there and
not show up and not show out
so y'all can talk all about me
if I lose?
I don't blame him. That's what I'm saying. Look, that ain't got
nothing to do with me. That's an organization thing.
That's y'all mindset.
No, athletes aren't
wired like that.
We're programmed.
Man, you think I got to lift all those
damn weights out here practicing in the
cold to try to lose?
Nah.
Not at all.
Not at all.
You're putting too much work,
too much sacrifice to even get to that point
to get to your childhood dream
in the NFL.
You know,
we're doing it on purpose.
And I'm trying to show, I'm trying to show that,
hey, if they want to move on,
then I can build a solid backup somewhere.
I'm trying to stay in the league.
Most definitely.
Because if I go out there and bull job, guess what?
I'm going to become just like y'all, fans.
That's a good one, boy.
That's a good one.
That's exactly what's going to happen.
You listen to the fans
too long you'll be up in the stands just like they are right along with them because the mentality
the mentality is different as a fan they'll never have yeah they have to understand they're looking
out for the best interest of the team i'm trying to win a game because guess what i'm if they get
i might not be here right they get good I'm not here to benefit from it.
Oh, yeah, we appreciate what y'all going to do for Milton.
Ain't nobody going to pay no salary.
That man out in the league.
Oh, no.
Joe, do your thing.
Do what you do.
You did right.
You showed the Patriots that you can be a serviceable backup.
Excuse me.
You also opened
some other teams' eyes
to let them know,
oh, he can play a little bit.
I like it.
Yeah.
I bit my damn lip.
Cover your mouth.
Don't do that, Ocho.
I did cover my mouth.
I mean,
look, Ocho,
I covered my mouth.
You saw that, Ocho. See, he's trying to get No, no. Well, I ain't got, I did cover my mouth. I mean, look, Ocho, I covered my mouth. You saw that, Ocho.
See, he's trying to get you.
No, no.
Well, I ain't got, I need some spray.
I need some disinfectant.
I mean, there you go.
Oh, God.
But, hey, Joe, you acquitted yourself well.
You didn't get an opportunity to play much,
but in the last game of the season, you showed up.
You did your thing, bro.
And congratulations.
You showed the Patriots.
Whoever the coach coming in there,
they're like, hey, we got a nice little backup.
Hey, you're going to be on the roster next year
to make yourself a little money.
Go make yourself a little money.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, but don't listen to the fans joe
they did they fans for a reason let them cheer and boo and do whatever they want to do
but you're going out there you ain't hey it ain't your job
your job is to go out there and play play well that's your ability keep you keep and to be
gainfully employed that is your job jo, Joe. And you did that.
And I believe you're going to have a job next year with the Patriots.
And if you don't, you showed that you could play in this league.
You showed that.
You're going to be somewhere.
Absolutely.
And not up in the stands cheering like they are.
So I ain't got no problem with what he did.
Oh, Joe, the NFL will consider replacing the onside kick
with an alternative proposal that has been mentioned in the years past.
Instead of attempting the onside kick,
teams would get one down to convert fourth and 20.
And if they get 20 yards, they would maintain possession of the ball.
Ocho, how many times have you seen a team pick up for a 20 yard? That ain't nothing. get 20 yards, they would maintain possession of the ball. Buncho!
How many times have you seen a team pick up for
20 yards? That ain't nothing!
Hey, but I'm just
saying the difficulty in getting
20 yards in one shot is very,
very, very rare.
So you ain't never seen nobody
get a 20-yard game? I'm saying it's very, very rare.
It can happen. It happens.
How many?
Come on, now. It happens. How many? How many?
Come on, now.
Get off.
You know how many plays?
You know how many plays
in the playbook for 40?
Yeah, how many?
Well, we finna find out.
On average,
how many 20-yard plays
happen in an NFL game?
I know one thing.
It ain't gonna be many.
Mm-mm.
Mm-mm.
Mm-mm.
Mm-mm.
Elcho, guess what
happened? You get a penalty.
You get a penalty? What?
You get a holding penalty.
Incidental contact.
Illegal hands to the face.
That's a first down.
That's a first down, but you have to rely on the pass.
They get the ball.
You have to hope that happens.
You have to hope that happens.
Let me ask you a question.
Did we not see penalties tonight?
Yeah.
You saw two of them.
Guess what?
Indicated interceptions.
Hold on, hold on hold on we're saying more than 20 eliminate the onside kickoff in hopes that there's a penalty on the
play what if you don't get the penalty okay oh oh joe think about what you just said what if you
don't get the play but what think about it the call what if there's no holding call? I'd rather... What I'm saying,
do you think the onside kick,
the conventional onside kick,
is more or less difficult
than a fourth and 20 play?
Which is more difficult to happen?
Fourth and 20.
Than an onside kick?
Yes, if you got a kicker
that knows how to kick the goddamn ball
and they have the third bounce go up in the air. You know what the problem is? The goddamn kickerser that knows how to kick the goddamn ball and they have the third bounce go up in the air.
You know what the problem is?
The goddamn kickers don't know how to make the goddamn ball bounce.
Listen, let me say something, especially to the chat.
People need to understand what the onside kick is supposed to look like.
The kicker is supposed to kick the ball.
It's supposed to hit the ground.
On the third bounce, the ball is supposed to bounce and go up.
Nobody has perfected that yet for some guy.
I don't know why.
It's an onside kick.
It's supposed to be basically.
Before you do that, what's the onside conversion rate?
Give me the onside conversion rate.
Hey, you know what I'm talking about.
I know you've seen the onside kick.
You got the right way, right?
Yes, yes.
I know you take that bounce.
It hits that and it goes all the way up.
And it basically becomes a junk ball.
But nobody's been able to do it.
I'm not sure what the kickers
are doing these days.
The onside kick is 4%.
4%.
Right.
Now, how many times do you think
there's a 20?
I guarantee you there are more than 4%
20-yard plays in the NFL in a game.
No, not 4 than 20.
Oh, Joe. But if it's a No, not four than 20. Ocho.
But if it's a penalty,
there's so many things can happen.
Yeah, that's a hypothetical.
What if it ain't?
Okay, you don't get it.
I think the percentage is just as low.
But see, you just gave a hypothetical.
If it hit that perfect bounce, then get it.
That's a hypothetical.
It's really not hitting the perfect bounce.
It's a technique to it. It's a technique that the perfect bounce. It's a technique to it.
It's a technique that I've mastered.
It still doesn't matter.
If I lock it up perfectly, I still going to recover it.
If my guys block the guys because you got one guy that's going to try to end my third bounce,
he's running the edge to try to get it.
Now, I get my guys up front to lock it.
Now, Green Bay messed it up against Seattle because
what was supposed to happen, the tight end was supposed
to block and Jordy Nelson was supposed
to field it. But what he did is he
blocked back up.
So, now, I'm going to coach
it up. I believe
there's a greater chance
of converting 4th and 20
than it is actually getting an onside kick.
Absolutely not. I think the percentage is the same
or maybe even lower
than the onside kick.
4% if it's 4% for the onside kick.
The Ravens have 85 plays
of 20 yards or more.
85.
So guess what, Ocho?
Wait, wait, wait.
They have 85 plays of 20 yards or more
on first, second, and third down.
Not fourth.
Ocho, but...
No, Ocho.
It doesn't matter.
You just looking at the down. I'm
looking at 20 yards.
What difference does it make?
So that's at least, so in 17
games, in 17 games,
guess what, Ocho?
How many is that? That's like four games, isn't it?
No, it's not happening.
That's almost five a game.
You got to think about it. This is situational. That's almost five a game. You got to think about it. This is a situation.
That's almost five a game.
It's a situational football.
This is an onside kick.
And instead of doing an onside kick.
How many onside kicks did the Ravens recover this year?
You won't have one shot at fourth and 20.
You are not getting that as often as you think.
It's not happening.
Ocho, you're going to pick up fourth and 20 more than you're going to get an onside kick.
I can assure you of that.
No, absolutely not.
It's not happening.
You're making it sound like they're out there playing flag football.
This ain't flag football.
You're not just.
Ocho.
No.
Ocho, you looking at first, second, or third.
I'm looking at 20 yards.
It's 20 yards.
You know how hard it is to get 20 yards?
Yes.
It's even harder to get an onside kick recovery.
That's my point.
The difficulty is about the same. I'm
telling you. Ocho,
this man out his mind, Chad.
You tripping. And if the Chaddies agree,
would you have something wrong with them too? I know
how difficult it is to get 20 damn yards.
It is not more
difficult to get 20 yards than it is
on the onside recovery, Ocho.
Man, I'm telling you. That's why it's
only 4%. It's equivalent.
It's equivalent. It is not equivalent.
It's about 4% as well.
Do you understand?
I wish I had a defensive player that was in the chat that actually
plays in the NFL right now so they can tell you
how difficult it is to get 20 yards.
And listen, all the things you can do
defensively to make sure a team doesn't
get 20 yards. You need Ocho.
But there's so many Ocho. But see,
here's the thing.
What can the defenders,
when he's trying to recover it, there's
a lot of things that he can't
really do anything wrong.
All he can do is mess
up recovery.
You on fourth and 20,
you, guess what?
You can jump outside
now it's fourth and 15.
You can illegal hands to the face.
That's first down.
You can illegal contact.
That's first down.
You can face mask.
That's first down.
Guess what else you can do, Ocho?
How many rough in the passes
you've seen
that went to a first down?
Right. Now that's
hoping for a penalty.
Everything you just did is hoping
that something else goes wrong so we can
get the first down. But what are you hoping
for on the old side?
You're hoping for the ball to pop up so
it gets you to get it. So you're hoping.
It's not,
it's not likely.
Neither one of us.
Oh,
Joe,
there were only three onside kicks recovered all year.
So there are 32 teams.
They play 17 games each.
Right.
Only three onside were recovered.
Now,
how many 20 yard games?
How many third and twenties? How many third and 20s?
How many second and 20s?
How many first and 20s do you think they got?
Forget fourth.
I'm looking at 20 yards.
You're looking at the down.
20 yards is 20 yards,
whether it's first down, second down,
third down, or fourth down.
You have to understand the situation
and the circumstance.
I'm opting out of the on-side,
and we're trying to have one shot at 20 yards
instead of an onside field,
I mean, instead of an onside kick.
It's the chances decrease significantly
in making it in that one circumstance
in the situation.
I'm trying to tell you, listen.
Ocho, that's why you just throw the ball
because there's so many things that the
defense can do to give you a first down.
You can incidental
contact. You can PI.
You can hold. You can illegal hands
to the face. You can face mask.
You can
unnecessary roughness on the quarterback.
There are six things. Now tell me
six things that the offense,
that you can do other than recover the ball that will get you the ball on an
onside.
Even on that onside,
not having those six things as a possibility that can happen on onside is
still significantly low.
Your chance is still significantly low.
Still,
either way.
I'm just being honest.
We're making it where you're making it sound
too... Ocho, the conversion
rate on 4th and 15
or more is 15%.
The conversion
rate is less than 4%
on the onside. Now, I don't know who
your math teacher was. Wait a minute.
Let's go back a little bit. Now, I don't know who your math teacher was. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Let's go back.
Let's go back a little bit.
Now, I've already said something.
I made it very clear from the beginning is the fact that the kickers don't even know
how to do the onside kick.
Oh, Joe.
See, I was going to say, not quarterbacks don't know how to throw the ball.
You see what you did?
You did another caveat.
The onside kick.
I'm telling you the onside kick, there's a certain technique to it that the goddamn kicker...
There's a certain technique to pick up on 20 yards.
You see how I can do that?
I can keep playing that game with you.
It's not a game.
I'm just telling you.
The chances increase when the kicker knows what the hell he's doing.
The chances increase when the quarterback knows what he's doing.
All right.
I'm just playing.
I'm playing your game
you want to do
hypothetical
I'm going to give it back to you
let's go
you up next
I don't challenge you
it ain't no changing
the goal post
y'all
it is tougher
to recover
an onside kick
than it is to pick
20 yards
you looking at
four
I'm looking at 20 yards so No. You're looking at four.
I'm looking at 20 yards.
So let me ask you a question.
Yes, sir. Chad, what's the difference
between first and 20,
second and 20,
third and 20,
fourth and 20?
20 yards is 20 yards.
But ain't nobody getting it in one lump.
It's hard to get 20 yards
in one lump sum.
It's not,
it's not.
It's harder to recover an onside than to pick up 20 yards.
Both of them are equally as difficult is what I'm trying to tell you.
No, Ocho.
What's equally as difficult is which weighs the more.
Which weighs more?
A ton of bricks or a ton of feathers?
It's not that complicated, Ocho.
Which weighs more, a ton of bricks or a ton of feathers?
Ton of bricks.
They way to say a ton is a ton.
You see what you just did?
Thank you.
Let's move along.
Jack, you see how easy that was? You see? Conversations, real stories, and actionable guidance. You can learn to face the mountain that is in front of you.

You can't make that mountain move without actually diving into that.

In this episode,
I'm joined by Anjali Sood,
CEO of Tubi,
for a conversation
that's anything but ordinary.
We dive into the competitive world of streaming, how she's turning so-called niche into mainstream
gold, connecting audiences with stories that truly make them feel seen.
What others dismiss as niche, we embrace as core.
It's this idea that there are so many stories out there. And if you can find a way to curate and help the right person discover the right content,
the term that we always hear from our audience is that they feel seen.
Get a front row seat to where media, marketing, technology, entertainment, and sports collide.
And hear how leaders like Anjali are carving out space and shaking things up a bit in the most crowded of markets.

No.
It became known as the Iran-Contra affair.

I'm Leon Nafok, co-creator of Slow Burn.
In my podcast,
Fiasco, Iran Contra,
you'll hear all the
unbelievable details
of a scandal
that captivated the nation
but which few of us
still remember today.
The things that happened
were so bizarre and insane,
I can't begin to tell you.
Please do.

Oh!
Hugh Jackson
is headed to Georgia State
as the OC.
Ocho.
Yeah.
Your old wide receiver.
Hugh Jackson!
Huge!
Congrats.
Congrats.
Ocho, what you think?
You like it?
I love it.
I love it.
Listen, I was...
You going to coach
the wide receivers?
No, no, no, no, no.
I can't coach no receivers.
I can't coach...
I got too many jobs. I got too many jobs.
I got too many jobs right now.
Hey, you have one job, coaching.
No, they don't pay enough.
They don't pay enough.
They don't pay enough, you know?
You know, listen, I don't think people understand.
I'm making better than NFL,
NFL better minimum wage times 10,
having 50,
11 jobs.
I ain't going to Georgia state.
They can't,
they can't afford me.
I don't know if that makes sense,
but it may,
it makes sense to me.
But yeah,
listen,
you,
you,
you did one of this for me in my career and my growth as a player,
not only as a player that as,
as,
as a man,
as a man as well,
man,
I think he, he's a great think he's a great leader of men,
somebody that means a lot, especially to me and my career
and what he was able to do for me as my head coach in Cincinnati
during those years and that tenure I had with him.
Man, I'm happy for him.
I'm going to go down there and visit him, though.
I come down there and intern when I got a little break,
put my cleats on, run a few routes,
lock up a few receivers
outside of that.
But that's cool, man.
I'm happy.
I'm happy for Hugh Jack.
Yeah, I love it.
I love it.
Look, I know Hugh Jack.
I like Hugh Jack.
He's a great
offensive mind.
I like him.
I met Hugh when he was
a receivers coach
in Baltimore.
Yeah.
And so, I like Hugh.
Talked to him.
I hadn't talked to him in a minute.
Actually, when he was the head coach at Cleveland.
So I like Hugh Jack a lot.
It's a great opportunity.
Hopefully, he gets an opportunity to parlay that into another head coach
because I think he deserves to be a head coach somewhere.
Listen, if you ever have the
opportunity, but I know the chat wouldn't have the opportunity
but you just said it to bring your
mind. If you ever have the opportunity to sit down with you
and talk football, I'm talking about
X's and O's, it'll blow your mind.
Oh yeah.
And I think, you know what, Joe? I think
you better as an offensive coordinator
than a head coach.
Right.
Okay.
Okay.
The two are different.
The two are very different.
In fact, all I got to do is worry about this offense.
I ain't got to worry about the defense.
I ain't got to worry about the special team.
I ain't got to coach the coaches.
I ain't got to worry about nothing.
I ain't got to worry about somebody showing up late.
I ain't got to worry about any of this.
All I worry about is the offense.
Right.
Yeah.
I like it.
And that's the most difficult thing a lot of times, though, as a head coach, is being able to delegate.
Being able to delegate, having the right people.
Right.
To make sure your generals get your message out.
But that's not easy. That's not easy. But that's not easy.
That's not easy.
But congratulations to you, Jack.
Congratulations to you, Jackson, headed to Georgia State as the
OC.
That's live.
I thought you was going to be...
Oh, Ocho.
Now, see, we got a little extra time Ocho
we got your segment coming back
oh yeah
Spello Cinco
you doing it right now
hold on
hold on
yeah
I gotta make my entrance
gotta make my entrance
yeah gotta make my answers. Yeah.
Gotta make my answers.
Let's go. Let's go chat.
Let's go. Ocho.
The first word
is flummoxed.
Wait. Flummoxed.
Flummoxed. Yes.
The last discussion
between the onside and fourth
and 20 had Ocho
completely flummoxed.
Flummoxed?
Yes.
That could be wrong, but I'm flummoxed.
Flummoxed.
F-L-U-M-I-X-E-D?
No.
What?
F-L-U-M-M-O-X-E-D.
Flummoxed.
It means confused.
Wait a minute.
Well, now, listen.
Listen, I need you to do me a favor.
On these next words, I need you to pronounce and sound the words all the way out.
Because that...
Flummoxed.
I said flummoxed.
And I even gave you the definition.
I even gave you the definition. The definition has nothing to do with what you're saying. Because usually... Flummoxed. I said flummoxed. And I even gave you the definition. I even gave you the definition.
The definition has nothing to do with what you're saying because you had two M's.
Flummoxed.
You had two M's, right?
Yes.
When you say it, you say flummoxed.
No, no.
Let me know that two M's.
Nobody said flummoxed. They say flummoxed.
That lets me know I had two M's, so I didn't know that now.
Okay, come on.
Okay, your next word is Billingsgate.
Billingsgate.
A word used to describe coarse language.
Billingsgate.
Billingsgate.
B-I-L-L-I N-G-S-G-A-T-E
Correct.
We saw him look down, Jack.
I'm playing with him.
Don't play with him.
The next word
is Octothorpe. Huh? Octothorpe huh octothorpe octothorpe

no don't do that i'm'm asking you. You heard what I said. I said Ock.
Ock.
Ock-o-thorpe.
Hey, hey, don't.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Whoa, Ocho.
Look at the camera.
Straight ahead.
Thank you.
There you go.
Ocho.
Ocho.
Look at me.
Thank you.
Ock-o-thorpe.
Are you trying to say Ock-o-thorpe?
There ain't no Ock-o.
Ock-o-thorpe.pe? There ain't no Octo. Octothorpe.
I'm confused.
Octo.
Octo.
So Octopus starts with O-C.
So I'm assuming Octo as well starts with O-C, right?
Octothorpe?
Hey, hello?
Yeah.
Octothorpe. Yes. i'm taking a guess here uh oct octo octo thorpe t-h-o-r-p-e octothorpe i know i'm wrong this man look at that chat well y'all stop putting
the word in there y'all see cheating? Damn. Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Talking about it.
Did I get it right? Yeah, you got
it right. I ain't writing it.
We got it.
Matter of fact, you talking about it. You talking about it being
in the chat. My chat ain't even up. Matter
of fact, hold on. Let me show you. Oh, no, wait. Don't
say that. Don't say that. Look at my camera.
Look what's on my camera.
You got a computer.
Hold on. Thank you.
Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. The next word

This is what's up with my computer.
Man, Ocho, stop it. Festoon.

Apologize.
Festoon.
Festoon. Are you going to apologize? Apologize. Apologize. Apologize. Fast.
Fast.
Tune.
Are you going to apologize?
Please apologize.
Fast.
Tune.
Okay, hold on.
Are you going to apologize for being wrong?
Absolutely not.
All right, what's the word?
Fast.
Tune.
What? Fast. Tune. Fast. Fast. Fast. All right, what's the word? Festoon. Who?
Festoon.
Fest, fest.
Like when you fest up to something, right?
Yes.
I fest up to it.
It starts with F-E-S.
So I'm assuming festoon.
I know it's probably some weirdo, some weirdo butchering of the English language,
the way this is spelled.
Festoon, F-E-S.
Now, when you say
tune, is it like tune
like the radio when you tune
into something?
Is it T-O-O-N
or T-U-N-E?
Festoon.
Huh? Festoon.
I don't like
that we're not in grants
and you trying to be on my side

The other C was silent.
You're not going to give me that?
Well, I needed you to whisper it.
Hey, listen, you could have gave me that, man.
If you go to script spelling bee
and you spell the word wrong, they're not going to give it to you.
I'm just saying, for the sake of things and for how well I'm doing tonight, you could have gave me that.
Your boldest word is Biblioclip.
Biblioclip.
Hey, that's a good one. The word, Ocho, listen to me, listen closely. Okay. The word is Biblioclip. Hey, that's a good one.
The word, oh, Cho, listen to me.
Listen closely.
Okay.
The word is biblioclip, a person who steals books.

Biblio clip.
A person who steals books.
Biblio.
B-I-B-L-E-O clip.

Ocho, you asking me stuff.
Who finished running up to Billy Sims in the 1978 Heisman?
Now, if you'd have asked me who won the 1977 Heisman,
I'd have had to stumble a little bit, pretend like I didn't know,
and say the Tyler Rose, which is Earl Campbell.
Now, if you'd have went to 76, I'd have said Tony Dorsett.
Now, since you went to 78, it was Billy Sims.
And then 79 would have been, who would have been in 79?
White from USC.
80 would have been George Rogers.
81 would have been Marcus Allen.
82 would have been Herschel Walker.
83 would have been Mike Ruggier.
But go ahead, I get your point.
And then I'd have said Doug Flutie.
Okay, okay. And then I went have said Doug Flutie. Okay.
And then I would have went Bo Jackson.

It's time for Q and A.
Q and A.
Look at this one.
You're every. What? Oh. Yeah. Look at this one. You hear me?
What?
Who?
Yeah.
Huh?
I can't hear you.
All right.
Yeah.
See, what time is it?
One o'clock.
You see?
Why are you calling my phone this time of night?
Making sure you're where you're supposed to be.
No, no.
What she's trying to do is she thinks I'm a booty call.
And that's what I'm not going to be.
I'm not going to be your little boy.
I bet you drag your tired lady black ass over there.
I bet. I guarantee you. I guarantee you. Because what you're not going to do, you're not going to disrespect me little boy. I bet you drag your tie and leave the black ass over there. I bet. I guarantee you. I guarantee you. I don't. Because what you're not
going to do, you're not going to disrespect me and think you're just going
to use me, you know, for
my parts, you know.
This is not what you
wanted. You didn't want to continue to build with me.
Then, listen, I ain't
no talk. Oh, then 86, you know 86
Benny Chester Birdie went to Hodgman?
Hey, come on, man.
Oh, my bad. You know 86? Benny Chester-Burton won the Heisman? Hey, come on, man. Oh, my bad.
You didn't know that?
Nah. Tim Brown
won in 87.
And then Barry. And then Audrey Ward.
Okay, let's go.
Ty Detmer. Okay, but I get
what you're saying. Then Desmond Howard.
But okay. Aaron Owens says, what's're saying. Didn't Desmond Howard, but okay.
Aaron Owens says,
what's up, Uncle Nocho?
When you first got to the league,
what was the first DB to shut you down?
He's talking to you.
Yeah, what's up, Uncle Nocho?
When you got to the league,
who was the first DB who shut you down?
Ain't nobody shut me down when I first got there. On the back end,
Revis had
the day. That was about it.
I'm trying to think.
When I first got in the league, I didn't get a whole lot of
playing time, so I didn't get my 15 plays.
A lot of people shut me down because I wasn't getting
no passes.
Mainly it was Coach Reed because he wasn't getting no passes. Mainly, it was Coach Reed
because he ain't called no plays for me.
But, man, you know, back then on children,
they, DBs were physical.
Oh, yeah.
It wasn't no incidental contact.
It wasn't none of that stuff.
Man, look here.
Man, them jerks put paws on you, man.
You wasn't going nowhere.
They was strong as hell.
Man, shoot for Adele Carter
yeah
DC him and uh
he was in um
with James Hasty he was in uh
James Hasty
he was there with Hasty uh the Raiders
you know the Raiders always had
DB they play straight man coverage though
I love playing the Raiders cause it wasn't look They played straight man covers, though. Yeah.
I love playing the Raiders.
Because it wasn't, look.
You know what you did?
It wasn't no secret.
It wasn't no, oh, they're going to play cover four.
They're going to play cover two.
They're going to play 25.
They're playing straight man.
First down, second down, third down.
They're playing man.
Hey, right there in front of you you go in motion he gonna follow your
formation it ain't
no secret what they were doing
so I love
the Raiders because
it wasn't a whole lot of studying right
and then that was when you know
hey look DB
and Mike was like hey do whatever you want to do
you can hold them
oh man
come on bro come on now And Mike was like, hey, do whatever you want to do. You can hold them. Oh, man.
Come on, bro.
Come on now.
They're grabbing you around the rest.
Come on now.
They're going to call that.
But it definitely prepared us to get open.
Isaiah Lancaster says, Uncle Nocho, which quarterback in the NFC for the playoffs do you trust the most? And who's more clutch in their sport as two great players Mahomes or Michael
Jordan? Ooh, that Mahomes question. I'm going to come back to that. But the quarterback I trust
most in the NFC would probably, would probably have to be golf, huh? I agree. That's what I
would say. I would say Jerry golf. Probably have to be golf. And listen, there would be nothing
wrong with me saying Stafford as well, being that Stafford has already won a Super Bowl. So
somebody I also trust, especially what he he has to work with offensively.
I don't think he has as much
around him like Detroit.
Right. Because they're already going
to be at a disadvantage on you, not to cut you off, because
now the game's going to be played in Arizona.
So you've lost
home field advantage. Whatever
home field advantage you have, it's not like they really
have one, because everybody
in L.A. is a transplant. So there's not like, oh, man, I'm a die-hard Rams fan. No, it's not like they really have one because everybody in LA is a transplant. So there's not
like, oh, man, I'm a die-hard Rams
fan. No, it ain't like that.
You know, like, you go to Detroit,
they're going to have a true home field advantage.
You know, you go to Pittsburgh, you go to Baltimore,
you go to Kansas City or
Tampa, you're going to have a true home
field advantage. Why don't you play at a neutral
site?
And it's not like the Rams have this overwhelming
fan base to begin with.
They do travel, but they don't travel like
a Steelers. They don't travel like an Eagles
fan base. They don't travel like that now.
I would not be surprised.
The Eagles are going to play in goddamn
Alaska.
Yeah.
Man, listen. Everybody from Philly is going to be in Alaska. Man, listen. Everybody from Philly
going to be in Alaska.
Oh, yeah.
The Eagles and the Steelers,
they don't play.
I wouldn't be surprised, Ocho,
if the Vikings have more fans
in Arizona
than the Rams.
Well, you don't...
Now it's the playoffs now,
so I would think the Rams fans
even those who haven't been fans throughout the year
I think they will travel well
I would hope especially now that they've
made it to the playoffs
Ocho I don't know if you've ever been to a Rams
home game there's always
more visiting fans than the Rams
fans yeah when they
played the Vikings earlier in the season I was there
there's more man I went to when they played the vikings earlier in the season i was there there's more i mean i went to i went to when they played the champion when they played
sam fran ralph played sam fran in the championship game right there was more 49ers there was more red
and gold right than it was blue and silver i mean blue and uh yellow yellow yeah i wonder why it's
it's crazy.
You think maybe LA,
is LA like Miami?
They ain't coming.
Yeah, it's a transplant.
Yeah, ain't no natives.
Right.
They ain't coming to the game unless you winning.
Right.
Most of the fans,
they grew up,
they were Steelers fans,
they were Packers fans,
they were Cowboys fans,
they were this fans,
they were that fans.
Right.
And so they moved here. And like, oh fans, they were that thing. Right. And so they moved here.
Oh, our team's coming.
Rams ain't really
happy. Think about it. The Rams, they were
in Anaheim, and
they were in St. Louis.
Right, right, right.
No.
Miguel Ortiz says,
Bo, the AFC West and the NFC North
has three teams in the playoffs
if you were to make a division
versus division matchup mixing up all the players
of the division to make a team
wow
that'd be really good
we ain't got no running backs
I mean look
if you take my homeboy
and say he's your quarterback,
let's just say you take Lamar.
Man, they got Derrick Henry.
They got Chase.
Yeah.
They're cheating.
Yeah, it is.
They're cheating.
They got, I mean, look, they got Hendrickson they got uh uh uh T.J. Watt
oh yeah
they got Roquan Smith I mean first of all the Ravens had nine pro bowlers
and boy them boys stack the shit, man. And then you
had Hendrickson made the pro bowl,
Chase made the pro bowl,
and Joe made the pro bowl.
Now, we might get y'all
on linemen, because, you know, we got
Creed Humphrey
as the center,
Tooney, the
left guard.
Try to think.
Left tackle, probably be Slater
right tackle
probably be Joe Alt
yeah I think
the FC North
might win it
every time
it'd be good
I mean
hey
we got two tight ends
I mean we got
Kelsey and Brock Bauer
which all got Andrews
and likely.
But that'd be a good matchup.
Dippington
McGee, sup, Ocho,
miss you guys. Live had to say
those calling the bingo the team to beat
were right. They got beat.
Sorry, Ocho had to.
Simmer down, simmer down, simmer down. Simmer down. Sorry, Ocho had to. Simmer down, simmer down, simmer down.
Simmer down. Yeah, Ocho, y'all
was...
Listen, we out of it. I don't want to talk
no more about Bengals.
Yeah, what they talk about?
We're just going to focus on the teams that are in the
playoffs.
Yeah, that's what we need to focus on.
Yeah, but it won't be the Broncos after Saturday,
but go ahead. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Why are you talking about Broncos? focus on. Yeah, but it won't be the Broncos after Saturday, but go ahead.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold up.
Why are you talking about Broncos?
I didn't.
I said we won't have to talk about them after Saturday.
Well, we got to talk about them up until Saturday.
Guess who we don't got to talk about?
We haven't had to talk about them since Sunday.
Whoa.
And since you want to be nasty about it, where's my money?
Since you want to be nasty about it where my money since you want to be nasty where my money chat y'all see that he being nasty and then got me my bread
andrew said to your shame recent fires in la have impacted myself and my family. I would like to say thanks for providing an escape of reality.
Muchas gracias, guys.
Adrian, hey, bro, I appreciate the hard work that you do, man.
We really appreciate that, man.
I am so sorry that your family, friends, and loved ones
has been impacted by these forest fires.
I've talked to some people that's lost everything, Ocho.
It's bad. I was there in 17
and 18 when they had the forest fires
and they say it's 10 times worse
than that and I can just oof
and a lot of people had their fire
insurance canceled
so they had no coverage
why
oh it's a
I don't know what to get
I don't even want to talk about it but hey it's a, it's a, it's a, I don't know what he gets. I don't even want to talk about it, but Hey, it's just tough, bro.
But I'll, I'll just hopefully you and your family and friends and some loved
ones, everybody.
Um, um, I, I mean, I'm just, you just watching and you're like, wow.
You just, I mean, you just, wow.
I mean, I don't really, really know what else to say.
I mean, I wish there was something I mean, I don't really, really know what else to say. I mean,
I wish there was something I could do.
That's crazy.
But,
uh,
but thank you,
uh,
Adrian,
for all you do.
J two,
one,
three,
say,
uh,
uh,
happy birthday.
Oh,
Joe,
my question for you all,
the most,
uh,
most thoughtful gift you've ever received.
Love you both.
My wife says, thank you for helping me get through this thoughtful gift you've ever received. Love you both. My wife says thank you
for helping me get through the
long nights.
Oh, most thoughtful gift.
Ocho, what's the most thoughtful gift you've ever received?
The most thoughtful gift I've ever
received?
I think my
kids.
Kids? Kids, yeah. I think my kids kids?
kids yeah oh lord
yeah
yeah
cause they didn't
I'm trying to think about gifts
cause I'm
I'm really not into gifts
I'm very
very
very very simple
very simple
when it comes to gift giving
because the things that I like
and I enjoy
that
bring me pleasure are like stupid stuff that people would laugh at.
Like, who cares about that?
Like, but.
You know.
Damn, that's a good one, Uncle.
This picture, I don't know if you can see it but it's a picture of my brother
and I at the Hall of Fame with my grandmother in the backdrop
that's a good one
it's on the wall in my bedroom
fortunately
I'm not in Cali currently
but
that would probably be the first thing.
Other than the dogs, that would be the first thing that I grab.
Everything else, I mean, the trophies, the jerseys, all that stuff,
Hall of Fame jacket.
I mean, I can't replace the jerseys.
I mean, I get replicas, but they're not the actual jerseys
that I played in the game with.
That's fine.
But that picture, Teddy and Titus,
I'm getting them and then all this other ish.
It is what it is.
It is what it is.
Hey, I got a question.
Yeah.
I mean, back to the LA Fires, I'm curious.
Why were the fire insurances or whatever it may be, why were they canceled when fires always happen up in the hills like that anyway?
If it's a recurrent thing, not very common.
The same reason that you guys, that Florida canceled a lot of flood insurance because hurricanes happen, floods going to happen.
So if we know something's going to happen, we don't want to ensure the most likely thing to happen.
It's tough, man.
It's tough.
Damn.
Man, it's crazy.
It is. It's crazy. is it's crazy
it absolutely is
P.I.

Please do.
