Starting point is 00:04:47 and make it to the biggest game of the year. Bichotti said he doesn't like waiting 12 years, and he thinks impatience is good for you when it comes to competing for titles. He also made it clear, I want to win now. We've got a window with Lamar. I know what we can do. I know that we work to put ourselves in position to win.
Starting point is 00:05:08 We all get credit for that. That's all you can do. I hate it that every year you just have to start back over again. But you know what? This is not for the meek. The Chiefs, the Bills have ended the last Raven season. What will be different this year, Ocho? I mean, listen, it all comes down to two things.
Starting point is 00:05:27 Turnovers. That's all it comes down to. In those games, when they've lost, even though they've been able to overcome, Lamar's been able to overcome some of the turnovers, the early turnovers in the game, late in the game. Obviously, we know how it ended with Andrew dropping the ball and having an opportunity to tie the game, not knowing what would happen going into the second half or overtime at,
Starting point is 00:05:46 at, at that point. But still listen about him saying, but Shadi in general saying he's impatient. He wants to win. Now, as long as you have number eight at the helm, as long as you have no made in him,
Starting point is 00:05:59 you're going to always have a chance. Every time there are a few quarterbacks in the league. Um, there are 32 teams. There may be five or six quarterbacks that are going to be in contention every single year. You can have a goddamn blindfold on. I guarantee
Starting point is 00:06:13 this will be in the playoffs. The Baltimore Ravens is one of them. As long as number eight is upright, alive and well, you got a shot every time. Now, all you have to do is just finish it off in the postseason.
Starting point is 00:06:26 That's it. Eliminate the turnovers. That's been your Achilles heel so far once you've made it. So, they're going to be all right. They're going to be all right. He has nothing to worry about.
Starting point is 00:06:37 Just the simple fact that the AFC North has run through Cincinnati. That's the only problem. No, they... No. Ocho, check this out. Lamar Jackson is challenging NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Starting point is 00:06:50 for the number eight trademark. Lamar says it's too close to era eight brand name. Jackson filed a similar trademark opposition to Troy Aikman in 2024, and they're still battling. Ocho, Lamar versus Dale Jr. Who owns the number eight oh man listen dale dale jr we talk about an icon talk about an icon in in the racing world uh someone that's been around for a very long time listen lamar jackson still has a ways to go he's an icon in his own right
Starting point is 00:07:18 and what he's doing down in baltimore um i as a quarterback in general, he's continuing to cement his legacy. At some point, once he gets that ring, he's going to solidify that. Still one of the all-time greats right now. But that A, that Earnhardt, that Unk, Dale, it is different. I mean, it's so hard. That A represents something else that's iconic. That ain't represent something else. That's that's it's iconic.
Starting point is 00:07:46 That last name alone. I mean, when it comes to a number, the only number that you that's anonymous. Yeah, it's 23. Yeah. Yeah, it's 23. That's really the only number that's anonymous. Look, I understand they've retired. You know, Magic was 33 in college, but Kareem had 33. That's really the only number that's synonymous with... Look, I understand Xavier retired.
Starting point is 00:08:07 Magic was 33 in college, but Kareem had 33, so he slid to 32, and boom. Shaq was 30. What was Shaq? Shaq was 32 in Orlando, but he ended up going to 34. So I get it. But when you think of numbers... Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:24 I just think it's going gonna be hard I mean you know I think Troy Aikman got a beer called I think he has a beer called eight or something if I'm not mistaken I think he does oh yeah I think he has a beer I think don't quote me on that don't you but I think
Starting point is 00:08:40 I was reading something that he has a beer called eight you know what hell I got my phone here I'll look it up I I think I was reading something that he has a beer called eight. You know what? Here, I got my phone here. I'll look it up. It's E-I-G-T-H-S. He does have a beer called eight.
Starting point is 00:08:55 Yep. Low carb, low calorie. You know, it's certain players, like when you see their number, when you see a certain number, a certain player resonates with that number regardless of what team, regardless of the color of a jersey. I ain't trying to toot my own horn. But when you see 85, for the most part, at 85 in general, it resonates.
Starting point is 00:09:18 I think Isaac Curtis. Stop lying, man. Oh, that's you? Oh, that's you. I'm just saying. Listen, I'm with you. When you see that 12 you know it resonates with you know tom brady when you see 15 for the for the most part even though he's still playing you know you think of patrick mahomes yeah that this is it you know hey and 99 you know what 99 is. The great one. Gretzky.
Starting point is 00:09:45 Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Absolutely. The great one. Listen, as great as he is, Ovechkin is only three goals away. You know that. Yeah, it don't matter. Three or four goals, but.
Starting point is 00:09:57 Yeah, but, hey, the great. When he get nine hard trophies in a row, talk to him. Okay, okay, okay. That's different. That's different. Hey, speak. I think Ovechkin wear eight, too. Lamar Jackson is one of those players, as he continues to play and play well throughout his career, whether he wins a ring or not,
Starting point is 00:10:16 that number eight can resonate with him. When he's gone and done playing, that number eight can also resonate in remembering him as well. Yeah. You know, look, we're not saying anything, but the first time somebody say 99, I'm thinking Gretzky. If somebody say, give me a famous 99, I'm going to think Gretzky. Now, if you want to say, if you're a Yankee fan,
Starting point is 00:10:34 you want to say Aaron Judge, or you're a Bucs fan, I know Sap, Sap, my boy. Sap, yeah, yeah. But come on now. Yeah. Come on now. 99. Yeah. Hold on
Starting point is 00:10:47 I thought I thought Dale Jr. was 88 How did he get Why Why does Dale I thought Dale Jr. Drove the 88 car
Starting point is 00:11:08 88 Is too close to 8 hold on hold on Lamar says era 88 is too close to era 8 oh maybe the spelling maybe the way it's spelled. I mean, I can't see it in front of me, you know, for context purposes, but I'm assuming. I mean, he says E-R-A, E-R-A 8, Era 8.
Starting point is 00:11:39 Oh, okay, okay, okay, okay. 80, I don't know, but I don't know. It's kind of close. That's a stretch there. Yeah, it's kind of close. Usually when you trademark something, you want it to stand alone and be by itself. Yes.
Starting point is 00:11:51 And those two, it kind of coincides a little bit, and it's too similar. Yeah. Too similar. Hold on. Let me see. I got to look this up, JoJo. Because this...
Starting point is 00:12:14 I know his dad was the number three. Oh, yeah. The legend. No, he drove 88 and he drove 8. Mm-hmm. I think the 88 car was all white. I'm not sure who the sponsor was. I remember it was all white.
Starting point is 00:12:35 I can't remember who the sponsors were at the time. I done been to a few NASCAR races. You been to a NASCAR race before? Yeah. You sat outside? Listen, that's one of the best dates when you first meet somebody and you want to do something different, something that obviously the woman you're dating has never experienced.
Starting point is 00:12:52 Take her to a NASCAR race and sit outside. Man, they don't like that. I don't know if they can take that noise on you. Hey, it's different. Put your earplugs in if that's the problem. It's different. It's different. It's fun. Get your hot dog, get your different. Put your earplugs in if that's the problem. It's different.
Starting point is 00:13:07 It's different. It's fun. Get your hot dog, get your beer. Obviously, I don't drink. I have my coconut ice. Get my hot dog, my little popcorn. Sat there, great conversation. Watch the cars going.
Starting point is 00:13:17 But that's neither here nor there. But it's just a great date. For anybody in the chat that want an idea on where to take somebody that they just met, somebody that you already know nascar race if she can't sit there with you she don't deserve nothing none of the finer things in life if she don't like nascar dale has trademark 8 not 88 okay so he tried So he tried to... I don't... Yeah, I don't know. Troy has trademark 8 as spelled out.
Starting point is 00:14:01 I mean, numbers are hard to trademark, Ojo. Yeah. Because they're like, well, who they're blowing to? Yeah. You ain't created. Yeah. It are hard to trademark, Ojo. Yeah. Because they're like, well, who they're blowing to? Yeah. You ain't create it. Yeah. It's hard to trademark a number. I mean, slogans, like the three-peat, Pat Riley owns that.
Starting point is 00:14:17 Well, he coined the phrase. Right. I got copyrighted for that. Uh-huh. Luke, I was hearing that out here. Luke Will tell the story. What I called him Lemon Pepper Lou. Yeah. He asked Pat Bell, you think it's going to stick?
Starting point is 00:14:27 Pat said, it's already done stuck. Yes, it did. He went out and got Lemon Pepper Lou. Lou Will. You know, he got. Hey, I'm just happy that he liked the name. That's it. That was a good one.
Starting point is 00:14:38 I didn't think of a. I was just being funny, you know, because, you know, we are. We talk about we go get the wings. And I'm still I'm still waiting to take that trip to go get them wings. We ain't been yet. I'm trying to see what all the fuss is about. We're going to hit chain spot to Candyland. Okay.
Starting point is 00:14:56 Okay. Grammar State head coach Mickey Joseph said there should be buyouts when players transfer to bigger programs. Let's take a listen to what he had to say, Ochoa. We understand. We understand. We understand. I think the kids understand if they're here and if they're sophomores and they have a big year and a group of five or a power five approach them
Starting point is 00:15:14 and they have the finances to pull them out of there and I can't match the finances, then you know what? They're going to go. That's part of it. Coach has been doing it for years. So we shouldn't get mad at coaches when these kids make decisions to take care of their family. Because like I said, I'm going to say it again, aches have been doing it for years. So we shouldn't get mad as coaches when these kids make decisions to take care of their family.
Starting point is 00:15:26 Because like I said, I'm going to say it again, coaches have been doing it for years. But I also think they need to be a buyout. If they move up, if they move up from me and go to group of five
Starting point is 00:15:33 and pile five, I should get kind of a compensation for that. You know? So NCA, if you're listening to me, I need a buyout. I like that.
Starting point is 00:15:43 I like that. I can't say it wrong when you're right, Ojo. Listen, I love it. Especially a small school like that. Listen't say it wrong when you're right listen I love it especially a small school like that listen allow it to be beneficial
Starting point is 00:15:49 for us allow it to be beneficial for us especially going to a bigger school that has more money to be able to attract the players
Starting point is 00:15:55 and pull them away from me you know make it beneficial for me you know I mean why not I like that idea
Starting point is 00:16:03 I'm not sure if it will go into effect if there can be a rule change for that matter, especially, you know, if you have that old joke. If a coach have to leave, you have to buy, you know, he has to buy himself out or the program that wants him to come in to buy him out. Right. There is some type some type of compensation. Yeah. That's, you know, and I like that because based on the scenario, obviously coming from a HBCU or coming from a smaller school, the chances of it happening
Starting point is 00:16:31 are, it's not going to happen that often unless you're just superior. You got to be superior for a power five coming to get you from a smaller school like that.
Starting point is 00:16:41 I'll give you an example. Had that been happening, a Walter Payton at Jackson State, a Jerry Rice, a Steve McNair, a guy like myself, Michael Strahan, you see how seldom, you see how seldom
Starting point is 00:16:57 it is happening? We talk about a difference. I mean, listen, I love the idea because it's not going to happen that often. But you get that gym, you get that diamond in the rough. You have the opportunity. Why not compensate the smaller school? You got the funds to do it.
Starting point is 00:17:17 I like that idea a lot. We dive into the competitive world of streaming, how she's turning so-called niche into mainstream gold, connecting audiences with stories that truly make them feel seen. What others dismiss as niche, we embrace as core. It's this idea that there are so many stories out there, and if you can find a way to curate and help the right person discover the right content,

Guided by his own words, this series explores Ali's life and legacy through never-before-heard audio recordings
Starting point is 00:19:54 and discussions with those who knew him best. Hosted by Muhammad's wife, Lani Ali, and his close friend, award-winning broadcaster, John Ramsey, Ali and Me goes beyond the boxing ring
Starting point is 00:20:18 to delve deeply into Ali's extraordinary life through conversations with Billy Crystal, Mike Tyson, Rosie Perez, Common, Will Smith, and Bob Costas. It created a North Star for me of how I want to be in the world, you know. As a child, as a young person, he gave credence to my audacity. There's no debate that this is the greatest global sports figure of our lifetime. Listen to Ali and Me, now on Audible. In the fall of 1986, Ronald Reagan found himself at the center of a massive scandal that looked like it might bring down his presidency. Did you make a mistake in sending arms to Tehran, sir? No. It became known as the Iran-Contra affair.
Starting point is 00:21:05 And I'm not taking any more questions in just a second. I'm going to ask... I'm Leon Nafok, co-creator of Slow Burn. In my podcast, Fiasco, Iran-Contra, you'll hear all the unbelievable details of a scandal that captivated the nation nearly 40 years ago, but which few of us still remember today. The things that happened were so bizarre and insane, I can't begin to tell you.
Starting point is 00:21:35 Please do. To hear the whole story, listen to Fiasco, Iran Contra on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Ocho, a Philly man called out the mayor for being incompetent because he's a Dallas Cowboy fan. Let's take a listen to this. This is what happened, guys, residents of Upper Derby Township, when you elect a Cowboys fan to your government. 29 years of losing with this team. What do you expect with the leadership?
Starting point is 00:22:19 This is a Cowboys fan. This guy follows the Cowboys. Damn. You see what type of leadership they have. And that's what you put your trust in. Cowboys fan. Sickening. Hey, you got to be able to separate the two, baby.
Starting point is 00:22:41 You got to be able to separate the two. Your political views and the way things are run with the country and government and the team you decide to be able to separate the two your your your political views and the way things are run with the country and government and the team you decide to support based on probably your childhood we you know that that's that's normally where it comes from yeah but i mean you're not expecting to see somebody from a whole oh joe that's a rival i'm not expecting i'm not expecting to see somebody run for mayor in denver right. And they talk about they're a Chiefs fan or they're a Raiders fan. Right. But listen, that's why I said him being a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and being in Philly, being in office, he is a fan of them simply because of something that happened when he was young.
Starting point is 00:23:18 When he was young, that's all. I guarantee you that. It was his parents or he grew up. We know they grew up watching the Cowboys during those times when they were they were winning and winning Super Bowls. I guarantee that's where it comes from. It's not like he just woke up. He's from Philly and was never a Philly fan and the Cowboys fan. Guarantee you got something to do.
Starting point is 00:23:36 It always. Listen, everything starts when you're young. Yeah. Yeah. Everything starts. Yelena Wallo was argued over taking bath in the hotel. Ocho, would you take a bath at a hotel? Well, I ain't goto was arguing over taking a bath in the hotel. Ocho, would you take a bath in a hotel? Well, Unc, I ain't got no choice but to take a bath in a hotel.
Starting point is 00:23:49 I'm going to tell you, not a bath. I'll take a shower. Now, they speaking— I said a bath. I didn't say no shower. Oh, no. I ain't taking no bath. Now, hell no.
Starting point is 00:23:56 Matter of fact, Unc, I ain't been in no hotel in a very long time. Now, I just left San Diego. I just left San Diego yesterday. Just got back to Miami this morning. I ain't seen a shower in a very long time. I mean, I ain't seen a bathtub in a hotel, the hotels I stay in, in a very long time. So I'm glad now that you posed that question. I need to get in and out.
Starting point is 00:24:15 I need to get in and out. I don't have time to take no bath. Lighting candles and then bubble bath. I ain't got time for all that. No, I ain't taking no bath in my own home, let alone a hotel. No, hell no. Sit in my big ass in a tub and ate.
Starting point is 00:24:31 I don't like it. I don't like it. I ain't got the patience for that anyway. Go ahead. Ocho? Yes, sir. Ruby Rose said you need to make five million dollars a year
Starting point is 00:24:46 to date her for content purposes because that's what this is for content purposes I mean that's everyone can can have their dreams and aspirations
Starting point is 00:25:23 everyone can have their what's the. Everyone can have their, what's the word I'm looking for? Their prerequisites on what's required to date them. So I'm not knocking her prerequisites. Now, it's a little steep based on the individuals that have five million, that make five million or more a year.
Starting point is 00:25:44 That pool of one percentage you have to choose from, you know, I mean, that's cool. That's cool as long as you understand what comes with that. And that's pretty. Well, at least at least she already told you what she about. Yeah. So she's under no pretenses. Yeah. I look, it's just as easy to date a rich man.
Starting point is 00:26:02 It is a poor one. Yeah. If you're given a choice. Hey, she said, I'm going to take the rich one. Yes, sir. But you know what you got? You know what? She already told you.
Starting point is 00:26:10 Yeah, what time it is. What she's about. Yeah. Mm-hmm. But I like it. I like it. All right, Bill. So let me ask you a question.
Starting point is 00:26:19 What's your role? She cute. She cute, huh? She's fine, huh? Not $5 million fine fine you don't think so i've seen i've seen women i've seen women finer i've seen women look better right right that's just me personally okay okay okay okay hell i was just a in houston i saw 10 of them oh my goodness um don't i know three for sure do me a favor favor. Don't, don't mention Houston no more. Cause I've been,
Starting point is 00:26:45 I've been, I've been focused. I've been focused. I've been disciplined. Right. I don't, don't, don't do that.
Starting point is 00:26:50 Don't do that. Don't do that. But yeah, I think, I think at some point she was dating Druski. If I'm, if I'm not mistaken. Druski.
Starting point is 00:26:57 Yeah. Druski. Yeah. Very, I mean, obviously she's, she's, she's,
Starting point is 00:27:00 she's gorgeous. She's gorgeous. So I would do that. That's what I would do. In order for Ung to date you, I'm going to need you to make at least $10 million a year. Damn! How many women on earth are making $10 million a year?
Starting point is 00:27:15 That ain't got nothing to do with me. I'm telling you what my standard is, okay? What the fudge that got to do with me? Hey, if she could say she wants somebody that'll make five million, why can't we? Listen, and that's the beauty of life, too, huh? That's the beauty of life. As men, as women, we can have prerequisites and have certain standards and abide by them and boundaries, whatever it may be.
Starting point is 00:27:43 I want my man to have A, B, C may be i want my man to have abc and i want my woman to have abnc and if they don't meet those standards i'm gonna keep it moving now the chances of finding some of the things that people require it's slim to none but if you're gonna shoot if you're gonna shoot for the moon or if you're gonna shoot for the stars and then fall short and land on the moon so be it you know i like but here's the but here's the thing though oh joe you see how women can have standards? Yes, sir. Women can say,
Starting point is 00:28:07 I want somebody six foot tall. I want somebody to make X amount of dollars. I want somebody that has a degree. Come on, man. I want somebody that's well-read and likes to travel. Shannon says, oh, he don't want a woman to pass gas rights.
Starting point is 00:28:20 That's why you're single. You see? Now, women just listed on five, ten things what they want. Right, right, right. That ain't you're single. You see? Now, women just listed on five, 10 things what they want. That ain't why they single. But hey, I said, I don't want no woman to pass gas around me. I want a woman, she go to the bathroom, I don't need to know. Close the door. Oh, I can see why I'm single. Women tell you all the things they want. The first thing a man says, they'll say, well, you know what? I want a woman that's about 5'10". I wanted to have her natural hair.
Starting point is 00:28:48 I wanted to have everything natural. He's so shallow. A man tell you what he want, he's shallow. Women go out there and tell you everything. I want this, this, this, and this. Hey, I don't blame you, baby. Don't settle. Don't settle.'t settle they love that
Starting point is 00:29:07 but a man's supposed to settle but women never supposed to settle man y'all better miss me it's an ongoing battle
Starting point is 00:29:14 it's an ongoing battle of the sexes and what we want what we require there's a lot of delusion in it as well it's
Starting point is 00:29:24 I like it I like it whatever you believe in whatever your standards may be go for it go for it again like i say shoot shoot for the highest the highest you can the chance of you you getting you know what you're actually shooting for is slim to none but hope and believe that one day you may achieve it. I mean, I'm saying, I don't care. I don't care what race you date.
Starting point is 00:29:54 I don't care whatever the case may be. But it seems to be jaded for one side that a woman gets to have all these prerequisites that they require from a man. But the moment a man says this, oh, he's shallow. Oh, he's shallow. Oh, he's this, he's that. Why can't I say I want this out of a woman?
Starting point is 00:30:11 Like women say they want this from a man. That's all I'm asking. I don't care what you date. I don't care who you date. But I'm just asking, why can't men have standards like women? We're supposed to take what anything. We're supposed to take anything that wink at us and lay down. Hey, you better be glad
Starting point is 00:30:32 you're 57. I don't give a damn if I'm 87. You ain't fit to put no stipulations on me. Double standards. Double standards depending on your ass. That's a great topic. that's a great that's a great topic that's a great conversation too
Starting point is 00:30:49 hey if she if five a hundred thousand whatever the case may be yeah most of the time
Starting point is 00:30:57 men men don't say oh she needs to make this no no okay you treat me good okay blah blah blah then you know I think
Starting point is 00:31:04 mm-hmm and but but also you got to think about this too uncle men that make that kind of money men that make that kind of meaning five million and more they like dealing with women that don't have as much or really don't need them because they don't want to deal with women that need that that don't need them they want to deal with women that need them that puts them in positions of power where they're able to control what you can and can't do. So they enjoy that. And most women,
Starting point is 00:31:30 I don't think they understand. When you deal with these men that have that kind of money, that are taking care of you and doing everything for you. Ocho. Hey, there's really no freedom, huh? Because you make one mistake,
Starting point is 00:31:43 the chance of getting that again, it's slim to none. You got to be careful. The reason why men, because a woman that makes that kind of money, she don't have that kind of time to devote to a man that's making that kind of money.
Starting point is 00:31:54 Yeah, you're right. So women that don't make that money, the man is expecting them to be there at their beck and call. If a woman make that, she's working just as hard as a man that's making that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:05 So that's why you don't see a lot of times, sometimes not all, but I'm talking about like movie stars. Yeah. You know, the saying is, you know why movie stars? Because the other know what it's like to live in that world. But when you start seeing men, okay, you make a million, you make two million, you make five, you make 10, you make 20. Yeah. Do you understand what is required of a woman to make that kind of a salary? Yeah, it's different, boy.
Starting point is 00:32:31 That's a different ballgame. She ain't finna be cooking, coming home and cooking for you. Please. She ain't finna be cooking. No, bro. Come on, now. It's different. It's different.
Starting point is 00:32:40 So you have to understand, okay, I want somebody that's going to be the mother of my kids. I want somebody that's going to stay home and take care of the house. Woman that's making $10 million, I don't believe she's giving that up, Ojo. She don't work too hard to be put in that position. I'm just saying, I could be wrong, but it's hard. It's hard. You're not wrong because y'all understand, a woman that's making $10 million a year, that's a plan that's been thought out, strategized years in advance.
Starting point is 00:33:08 Her whole life. Her whole life. And she's not messing that up. No, that's, that's, that's, that wasn't a mistake. That was not a mistake. So it's, man, these women, they got real bold with with it but it is what it is yeah but listen it it eliminates gray area it eliminates gray area and it eliminates games now what it does do it makes a percentage of the type of man that they can date it shrinks the pool very very very very
Starting point is 00:33:39 very small i want a man that makes five million dollars. Well, I know one thing. All the men that make $5 million and more, I mean, well, the chance, I mean, you got to wait his turn to come off the bench. That's about it. You ain't going to be the only one, but he does make $5 million. I mean, you know,
Starting point is 00:33:58 they get the pick from the, they get the pick from the pawn on who they want to deal with. They get the criminal crop. Listen, that specific day, you can understand what that comes with now. Sometimes women don't care as long as
Starting point is 00:34:12 they got it. But it is what it is. Ochoa's been reported a woman divorces her husband after an $11,000 nose job and discovered her worth. It changed my life. I had a lot of time to recover after
Starting point is 00:34:27 the nose job and it made me think, I need to really get the divorce so I can move on with my life. Hey, listen, there's certain things that happen for women in life. They come into some money. They get things done to enhance their body, their appearance,
Starting point is 00:34:46 and then they start getting attention from others, the type of attention that they never got before. And most of the time, it fools you when you get attention from others before, especially not only when you're married, you have somebody that actually loves you. You have somebody that loves you, you build a foundation with them, and it's different as opposed from the lust that you're getting from others that yeah you understand they just they just want to have fun i i hate it's different it's different huh when you home yeah and your
Starting point is 00:35:15 girl and your girl said hey ocho you look good today now you go out with your boy yeah like damn yeah yeah that's what you see it all you see all the time a from coming from a different mouth and you hear it it'll fool you every time oh oh it will it will fool you every time it absolutely will it will and stuff like that happens it happens all the time it happens all the time you go from and listen i i love that line i love it happens to a lot of women all the time. You go from, and listen, I love that line. It happens to a lot of women all the time because they allow the outside voices to get to them because it's new. All the time. And you leave, you know, women leave relationships with guys where they have a solid foundation, where things are going well.
Starting point is 00:35:58 And most of the time they have these beliefs and then thinking everything's going to be pieces of cream when it doesn't work that way and the outside voices have you going for the main attraction to now you just another number on a dude's roster because you think the grass is green on the other side or somewhere else and it happens like there's this countless stories of this happening over and over and over and over it's it's ridiculous especially this one story here. Oh, I got my known job. Now I'm getting all type of attention that I never got before. And I think it might be better somewhere else.
Starting point is 00:36:31 But you leave your loving husband, your solid foundation, someone where you got stability and you think it's better elsewhere. Mm-hmm. Man, shoot. Ocho. And I'm great at giving advice.
Starting point is 00:36:52 I just don't take, sometimes I don't even take my own damn advice. And that's why I need my ass kicked. I told my homeboy. Talk to me. My homeboy had this girl, man. She was amazing. She cooked clean. Yeah. I'm talking about this. Uh-huh. She cooked. Mm. Clean.
Starting point is 00:37:05 Yeah. I'm talking about this. Hey, I need $500. She might have 400. Right. She's going to give him the 400. Right. And go borrow the other 100 to make sure he get it.
Starting point is 00:37:15 Come on now. Man. Come on now. This dude, I said, man, don't do that. I said, you got a good girl. Right. I said, man, she great. Right.
Starting point is 00:37:24 They end up getting married. I mean, she was great. There we go. Ocho, Ocho, Ocho. What? And this dude,
Starting point is 00:37:30 I mean, he's like, he like, he like, dog, it's just something about that newness. The new, she knew this,
Starting point is 00:37:38 this was new. Right. I said, I said, bro, your wife gonna be new to another ninja. Yeah. I said, bro, I wife going to be new to another ninja. Yeah. I said, bro, I'm telling you.
Starting point is 00:37:48 Yeah. They still together? No. Yeah. Hey, one thing about it. One thing about it, you never know what you got until it's gone. You don't? You never know what you got until it's gone. You don't? You never,
Starting point is 00:38:07 listen, you never know what you got until it's gone. You never do. I've never, you know what's funny? As I've been in the game so long, I've been playing the game so long,
Starting point is 00:38:22 is I know when I'm always right. I never missed. I never missed. Never. All I'm saying, look here, if all of a sudden your lady start working out,
Starting point is 00:38:41 she working out for somebody else to see her naked. That's a beautiful thing right there. That's a beautiful thing too. Not only, hey listen, not only is she working out
Starting point is 00:38:53 for somebody else to see her naked, that means he get to take, he get to take her off the books. You know when, you know when the team, the team, they want, you know what,
Starting point is 00:39:02 you know, we don't see you putting in the same type of production as you used to, so we gonna have to ask you to take a pay cut. If you don't, well you know what? We don't see you putting in the same type of production as you used to, so we're going to have to ask you to take a pay cut. Well, you know, I ain't taking no pay cut. All right, well, we're going to have to release you. You know what it feels like for an NFL team to move off from a player whose salary is $10 million a year or $20 million a year,
Starting point is 00:39:22 and then you get that $20 or $10 million off your books? You know how much freedom that is. So can you imagine you having a woman who's working out all of a sudden out the blue. So another man can see her naked. That means he gets to take on that responsibility and those expenses and those bills and that headache. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:40 That's a great, that's a great thing. I'm not sure why many times see when things in as, Oh my my God, I'm going to chase behind her or I love her. Man, what are you talking about, bro? What are you talking about? Who chases after an expense that doesn't even want to be with you anymore? Right. I understand love and all that.
Starting point is 00:40:00 Think about it. Why am I chasing after another expense? Or whoever it is that you're in love with, if things aren't working out, what exactly are you chasing? What value is she bringing to the table to or for you
Starting point is 00:40:13 that you didn't want to chase? It all depends what you're looking for. Yeah. If you found a woman, you found someone, she works, she has a job, she's working, she's bringing stuff to the table, she's helping you, you're helping her.
Starting point is 00:40:30 Right, right, right. Okay, that's a great relationship. Now, you find a woman, you say, babe, hey, you can continue to work, but you don't have to if you don't want to. I like that. Because I need you to do X, well, nah, I kind of want my own thing because I don't want to be under control because if you control the money, a lot of times, he who controls the money. Controls me every time. Every time. It's just like the job. Yes, sir.
Starting point is 00:41:12 The job field, they're going to teach you a certain type of way because they control the money. Now, if you need the money, you're going to have to act. So, a lot of times, she's like, I don't want to be in this situation because I don't want you to have that level of control. Okay, fine. Fine. But it's just like, I just hate these conversations because it's so one-sided.
Starting point is 00:41:33 It is. It is. It's so one-sided because I get, let's just say for the sake of argument, Ocho, I have a kid with somebody. Yeah. Now, okay, she's loving me. She's cooking for me. She's providing. You know, she's doing what a woman could do. Okay, I, she's loving me. She's cooking for me. She's providing. You know, she's doing what a woman could do.
Starting point is 00:41:48 Okay, I'm doing for her. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. But what happens? She leave. See, the state will require me to do all the things that I was doing before. Right. They'll require me. She don't have to do nothing.
Starting point is 00:42:01 Yeah. She don't have to give me no more hoo-ha. She don't have to see me no more. Yeah. The state will require me to take care of, do what I have to do nothing Yeah She don't have to give me No more hoo-ha She don't have to see me No more Yeah The state will require me To take care And do what I need to do You see how one-sided that is
Starting point is 00:42:11 Yeah it is Why would the state Require her to do something for me Mm-hmm Hey I like But you know what Ocho At this juncture in my life
Starting point is 00:42:19 I'm only going to be With who I want to be with I don't care Hey you matter of fact I'm going to be with Who I want to be with Listen speaking of't care. As a matter of fact, I'm going to be with who I want to be with. Speaking of junctures, speaking of junctures in life,
Starting point is 00:42:29 obviously at my big age or your big age, I'm in search of a life partner. Always have been. And when one thing doesn't work out, then you keep on moving. And you stay in search of that life partner. Made for This Mountain is a podcast that exists to empower listeners to rise above their struggles,

Muhammad Ali was never afraid to express himself loudly and boldly and stays true to form in Ali and Me, an eight-part Audible original. Guided by his own words, this series explores Ali's life and legacy through never-before-heard audio recordings and discussions with those who knew him best. Muhammad had this real sense of his own personal values and principles, things he believed in, his own sense of conviction. Those convictions never wavered. Hosted by Muhammad's wife, Lani Ali, and his close friend, award-winning broadcaster, John Ramsey. Ali and Me goes beyond the boxing ring to delve deeply into Ali's extraordinary life
Starting point is 00:45:51 through conversations with Billy Crystal, Mike Tyson, Rosie Perez, Common, Will Smith, and Bob Costas. It created a North Star for me of how I want to be in the world, you know. As a child, as a young person, he gave credence to my audacity. There's no debate that this is the greatest global sports figure of our lifetime.
Starting point is 00:46:15 Listen to Ali and Me, now on Audible. In the fall of 1986, Ronald Reagan found himself at the center of a massive scandal that looked like it might bring down his presidency. Did you make a mistake in sending arms to Tehran, sir? No. It became known as the Iran-Contra affair. And I'm not taking any more questions in just a second.
Starting point is 00:46:38 I'm going to ask Attorney General... I'm Leon Nafok, co-creator of Slow Burn. In my podcast, Fiasco, Iran Contra, you'll hear all the unbelievable details of a scandal that captivated the nation nearly 40 years ago, but which few of us still remember today. The things that happened were so bizarre and insane, I can't begin to tell you.
Starting point is 00:47:04 Please do. To hear the whole story, listen to Fiasco, Iran Contra on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm very intentional in all that I do. And I say it all the time, especially those that I meet, you know. And I am looking for a wife and family dynamic. Now, if I try it one time and it doesn't work out, you don't stop. And that just goes with anything in life. You know, that goes with anything in life.
Starting point is 00:47:50 And I like the fact that all the time, especially we have these conversations where a lot, where a lot of people can, can relate. Sometimes things work out. Sometimes, sometimes things don't, but I, I hate people that,
Starting point is 00:48:02 that, that give up on their dreams or aspirations or whatever it may be. And the funny thing about it is, you know, shit, things happen in life. Things end. It does, but it doesn't have to stop there. It just doesn't. Stop me. All right, don't you want to talk about Final Sable of the Evening?
Starting point is 00:48:22 It's time for Q&A. Hey, that was a good one. I don't even know where the hell I was going with that. I know. I'm going to bed in about five minutes. All right, Ocho, Kemper Norwood Jr. My question is, is Aaron Judge on place to hit 40 or more home runs this season? Yes, significantly more than 40 probably
Starting point is 00:48:46 wait is it reverence i'm gonna know your question would have another better stat line in the game against another elway and up apartment ocho who wins as the better duo well that's not even fair because you're comparing a tight end and receiver and i'm it depends on the target there's so many different variables that go into that i mean yes i shit, I'm going to have a goddamn day depending on who the hell we got out there goddamn covering them, shit. You know?
Starting point is 00:49:09 So it all depends. It all depends. And the thing is, with Ocho, see, man, I'd be having, man, I had TD in my backfield. I damn near had, damn near every year
Starting point is 00:49:17 have 11, 12, 13, 14 on the yard rushing. Yeah. It's not like the tight ends of today's game. Yeah. Unless, I mean, I'm trying to think, well, like, I wonder how many balls likely caught this year.
Starting point is 00:49:32 How many balls did likely catch, Ash? Because I think I had, like, when TD rushed for 2,000, I had 64 balls, caught 64 passes, like 650 yards and 10 touchdowns. Ain't a whole lot of balls going around when you rush for that kind of yard. Right, right, right, right, right. How many? Likely have 42 catches. That's it?
Starting point is 00:49:57 How many did the Eagles have? Got it. I'm feeling pretty good now. He had 42 too. I had 64 with a 2,000 yard rush in my backfield. So I feel, hey, I feel pretty good.
Starting point is 00:50:23 Tyra said, what's up, Elgin Ocho? If Derrick Kern wins another ring, will he unquestionably be the goal point guard? Is Jokic a top 20 player all time already? Man, I just have a hard time putting him over Magic, man. Damn. Who? Steph. Oh, right now?
Starting point is 00:50:42 Okay, okay, okay, okay. I have a hard time with Joe. Yeah, put him over Magic? What would he need to do? I mean, he's like... See, I look at Steph as a two-guard masquerading as a point. Most of the time, the offense runs through Draymond. Right. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:03 I think now we would have to have a better conversation. Right now, I think Magic is the gold point guard. Right. But I think we really have to have an honest, true discussion. But Magic was a true point guard. I don't look at Steph as a true point guard. Is Jokic the top 20 all-time player? I say yes.
Starting point is 00:51:23 Already? I would say yes. Already? I would say yes. I'd say yes. I like that. Hell, he gets another ring. Hell, I might have to put his ass in the top 10. But he ain't done now. I mean, he's not done. He got a ways to go.
Starting point is 00:51:46 I can see a situation, Ocho, where he has another two, three, four years where he's putting up numbers like this. I'm not saying that he's done winning MVPs. But damn. Ocho, think about it. He's won three. He's finished second to Embiid. He's won three. Yeah. He's finished second in B. He's about to finish second again.
Starting point is 00:52:07 So in a five-year span, he's won three, and he's been second twice. Yeah. So you think he'd be able to keep this consistency up? I can see it. Okay. I like it. Pat Dove said, to be honest, I understand John should do better, but he ain't the only one doing the gesture.
Starting point is 00:52:26 BP did it tonight against the Lakers uh yeah I agree I don't think DP also doesn't have a history of getting
Starting point is 00:52:33 in trouble correct and remember it was different no remember when Mutombo did this yeah
Starting point is 00:52:40 they outlawed it now cause he was doing it I guess they say well no you gotta do it to do it, you know. So now you got to turn your back to the guy. So they're probably... Because a lot of times, you know, guys get hot
Starting point is 00:52:54 and they be like... You know, they hot. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So... Just got my VIP ticket. Aaron Owen said, I just got my VIP ticket to see said I just got my VIP ticket to see you guys in Chicago Aaron

Starting point is 00:53:24 do you got a ring on your finger yeah I just I just got engaged with Ocho that got a ring on your finger? Yeah, I just... I just got engaged with Ocho. That's a ring on your finger? Oh, yeah, yeah. I just got reengaged. Oh, Lord have mercy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:34 Yeah, life goes on, man. Life goes on. We're not getting into that tonight, Ocho. We're not. No, I'm being honest. I know you're being honest. I know you're being honest. I'm serious.
Starting point is 00:53:45 I'm not playing. Oh, you being honest. I know you being honest. I'm serious. I'm not playing. Oh, we believe you. Yeah, yeah. You know, you know. I had to move on, you know. So, I told you. This is my act, you know. I told you 2026.
Starting point is 00:53:57 I told you what it is. I'm walking down the aisle with somebody. Oh, Lord. All right. Man, listen. Everything I do in life is intentional. It might come off funny. It, Lord. All right. Man, listen. Everything I do in life is intentional. It might come off funny.
Starting point is 00:54:07 It might come off in jokes. But I'm almost over that mountain. And I ain't doing this shit by myself. I'm leaving here with something. Thank you guys
