Oh, Joe. Ocho.
Yo.
Phoenix Sun 5, Boone holds them.
Yeah.
The Suns became the third team in NBA history to start the season 8-1 or better and miss the playoffs. They joined the 1970 Detroit Pistons and the 2001-02 Milwaukee Bucks.
KD is looking to lead the Suns.
Ocho, who should be held accountable for the Suns' failures?
But you look at before KD got there, were the Suns playing well?
Were they failing before KD got there?
Prior to he got there, what day?
They was in the NBA finals.
NBA finals when?
They lost to 21.
They lost to the Bucs.
And the NBA finals.
And then they lost in the what?
They beat the Clippers one year.
That was the year they went to the finals.
The next year they beat the Lakers and then they lose to the Suns.
I mean, the Nuggets.
They lost to Luka.
To Dallas?
They were the number one seed that ended up losing to Luka. To Dallas? They were the number one seed that ended up losing to Luka.
You know what?
When it comes down to it, I'm assuming you can.
Some of the blame does go on the players.
Some of the blame can go on Kevin Durant.
I'm not sure how much of it you can put on one individual player
when collectively, obviously, there is a group of five that have to play
and have to gel together.
You think, obviously, when you have these super teams where Bradley Beal and Devin Booker and Kevin Durant coming together, you expect the results to obviously show on the court.
Obviously, the match racing, it didn't work.
The relationship between him and Buden, how do you say the coach's name?
Budenhoser.
Budenhoser.
Obviously, things didn't work, especially the way it started out.
It started out really good.
Obviously, 8 didn't work, especially the way it started out. It started out really good, obviously 8-1,
but not making the playoffs or playing, for that matter.
I mean, it's horrible.
Everybody has to be held accountable.
Obviously, most of the criticism and the critiquing will go to the superstar players,
especially one of the greatest scorers of all time.
So I guess he can take that criticism.
Obviously, them not making the playoffs, he would be a part of the time. So I guess he can take that criticism. Obviously, them not making the playoffs,
he would be a part of the problem
if he wasn't part of the goddamn solution
for that matter.
I mean, this is the fourth coach in four years.
They fired Monte Williams.
They fired the Lakers coach.
Vogel.
Vogel.
Vogel. They fired Vogel they fired Bud
they fired Bud
they're about to be on their fourth coaches
now Bud got three more years
at 10 million
Vogel had several years
at like 8 million
and I know
it has
tons of money
but you gotta might have tons of money,
but you got to stay the course a little longer than a year.
Yeah, but that's the problem.
When it comes to owners,
obviously, in life,
in life, the way they fix things,
most of the time,
when you see a pattern like this,
where you keep firing coach after coach after coach after coach,
it's sometimes you just throw money at it and you think it fixed the problem.
That's how it works in the business world.
When it comes to the sports world, you throw your money at it and then you allow it time to manifest.
You let it marinate for a little bit until it can gel, until it all works out.
I believe all, I think the only player that's going to be there is Devin Booker.
He's the player that started there.
I think KD's going to be gone.
Bradley Beal's going to be gone.
Bradley Beal is a little bit more tougher than KD
for the simple fact Bradley Beal has no trade clause.
So he has to sign off on where you're going to send it yeah kd you know they're
going to be a lot of teams but you got to replace what you gave up yeah you gave up a bunch of first
round picks and players well you you're saying replace you won't you will never get the value
of what you got for kd but you can't get something yeah well you got to get you what you got to
refill the coffers up you got to get draft capital back. Right.
It's tough, man.
It's tough.
Mm-hmm.
Because KD played for all.
Now, he came half the year with money.
They fired money after the season.
Hired Vogel.
Fired Vogel.
Hired Budenhoser.
Fired him.
Now they're about to be on their fourth coach,
but KD won't be there up under him.
I think Book stays.
I think Book is the only piece that stays.
They're going to try to move, but that's what happens.
People just think it's more to building a team
than putting three guys that can put the ball in the basket.
Right.
And that's what everybody say.
Just, oh, oh, KD, oh, Book, man.
KD going to give you 27? Book going to give you 27? Bradley Beal going to give you 27? Okay, that's what everybody say. Just, oh, oh, KD. Oh, man, KD going to give you 27.
Book going to give you 27.
Bradley Bill going to give you 27.
Okay, that's fine, well and good.
Until they don't do that.
Yeah.
Because they don't fit.
The pieces don't fit, old Joe.
Right.
And, you know, when you think about it,
obviously, you say those names.
You say those names and understanding what they can do.
You know, being able to score at all three levels,
put the ball on the floor,
catch and shoot,
pop and shoot,
whatever it may be.
I'm thinking,
well, hell,
man, they finna be,
boy, they gonna be,
they gonna be animals.
It'll be the same thing
if you put Chase,
Jefferson,
and Tyreek
all on the same team.
You got one ball.
One ball.
Hey, listen, just the thought of that.
Yeah.
Just the thought of that.
Strike up the band.
And see, you look at the Patriots, the pieces always fit.
One guy got a lot of, mostly the catches,
and then everybody fit in after that.
Right.
Look, you get KD, who's KD.
He's an MVP, finals MVP, four-time scoring champ.
Right.
Okay, he really doesn't need the ball.
Mm-mm.
Bradley, Bill, and Booker, they need the ball.
But what they needed, see, they put, they shifted Book to the point.
He can play it, but Book's a two.
He don't need to be initiating the offense.
If you look at Book, he had his best years.
He had CP3.
CP3 was a facilitator.
CP3 knew how to get everybody where they wanted the ball,
where they needed the ball to be the most impactful.
Right.
But when you have all this, you got $150 million in payroll with three guys.
Oh, Joe, something got to go.
Yeah.
You got,
you got,
Hey,
you got this big fancy house.
You buy a big fancy house and you on a budget.
Well,
guess what?
Be like,
Oh,
Shannon sharp.
I had nothing but a TV and then the bed in the bedroom.
Come to the house.
Hey,
you'll be sitting on the floor.
Like Indian style.
That's all I got.
But that's what I had. That's, that's all I had. I overextended myself. I got atin' That's what I had That's all I had
I overextended myself
I got a house
That was outside
Of my budget
Right
So
It wasn't no sense
Of me going more
Over budget
And putting furniture
A whole bunch of
Furniture in there
I got a bed
And I got a TV
That's it
Let me tell you
How long ago
This been though
Cho
I know you didn't
Know this
But Mr. Bishy
Used to make TVs
I remember that. I had a
Mitsubishi.
Joe did.
Got a Mitsubishi.
Yep. I ain't heard
that in a long time, either.
It was a
tube TV.
I ain't had the money to put no...
With the knobs.
TVs that went on the wall were $10,000, $15,000, $20,000, baby.
I said, oh, no.
Put this thing up on a little, put this thing up on a chair.
I can see.
Because, you know, we growing up, we put it on a chair, phone,
but we had a little TV.
Or you had the big floor model.
That's what they call the floor models.
Yeah, we put our TVs, obviously, at Grandma's place, we had the crates.
Remember the crates?
The crates that you came in? Yeah, yeah. Milk's place. We had the crates. Remember the crates? Yeah, yeah.
Milk crates.
Yeah, milk crates.
Yeah, we put all right on the crates.
Oh, you had a floor model TV, Ocho.
Yeah.
Floor model TV.
Oh, that was big.
Yeah, but it had no sound.
The little one had the sound.
See how we do that, Ocho?
See how we did that right there?
Give us all one more floor model TV.
Y'all remember Sony,
Sylvania,
Xena?
That was a big flow model TV. Hey, Xena.
My grandma had the big Xena.
RCA.
Remember the RCA
with the megaphone with the dog?
Yeah.
Hey, that's so bad.
Hold on.
I bet you don't remember
the satellites, though.
The big satellites in your yard.
Yes.
Yeah, my granddaddy had
one of them big old satellites.
Yes.
I remember that like yesterday. Oh, that's so bad. Yeah, my granddaddy had one of them big old satellites. Yes. I remember that like yesterday.
Oh, that's so bad.
But it is because,
I mean,
if you go back and look
at the beginning of the year,
the Suns were 20 to 1 odds
to win the NBA title.
They had better odds
than everybody,
damn near everybody,
except probably Boston.
Boston.
Yeah.
Ah, that's crazy.
Mm, mm, mm. Austin. Yeah. That's crazy. It's just, it's a bad, it's a, it's, I don't know.
But where does KD go?
Miami.
Because you know I'm always, you know I'm always saying Miami.
Now, obviously they're going to have to give him.
What are y'all going to give up to get him?
I don't know.
That's not my, that's up to Pat Riley and Mickey Harrison.
I'm not sure what that looks like.
But as long as we keep Bam, we're going to be all right, I think.
And finding some other pieces that we can get from somewhere else,
we got to have some.
But I think it would be great.
It would be a great place.
I think KD might have a house down here.
I'm not sure.
I've seen him down here numerous times.
Man, you got that kind of money.
You got a house everywhere.
Yeah.
Can he do it quite well for himself?
Yeah, yeah.
I just listen.
We need a star.
We need to do what the Lakers do.
Always find a way to pull one out our—
I was getting ready to curse.
I'm not going to curse.
Pull one out our hat.
We need to do that.
Our hat rally needs to do that.
Have you seen the attendance at the games?
It's not what it should
be. First of all, they don't come
till late anyway. Y'all don't be there
to talk. Look, I done been to Miami Heat games.
I went for the championship game.
And at the start of the game, I'm like, well, damn.
Do y'all really know this is the NBA
finals? Yeah, yeah, you right.
You right. And remember, they were leaving in that game six before Ray hit the shot.
They all have the arena empty.
Yeah, and they tried to come running back in.
Tried to come back in, nah.
Mm-hmm.
No, that ain't gonna happen.
I'm trying to say, first of all,
there are only a handful of teams that have the draft capital
that they're going to need to get KD.
And the question is, are they willing to break it up?
OKC has the capital.
Who?
OKC Thunder.
They got like 13 first-round picks.
Hey, can you imagine?
Can you imagine SGA and Kevin Durant?
Yeah.
We said the same thing about Devin Booker and Kevin Durant.
OK, I see.
There you go.
We said that.
There you go.
We said the same thing about James Harden and Joel Embiid.
Right.
Can you imagine?
Now James Harden has found the fountain of youth.
He's playing.
He look like the James Harden of old.
Yes.
That he does.
Kawhi's got those knees healthy.
He looks phenomenal.
I just.
I don't think KD doesn't strike me as a guy that lives with regret or looks back on,
but probably maybe a better move would probably have been going to the Knicks.
Hey, like you should have done the first time instead of going to Brooklyn?
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
Maybe going to the Knicks from the jump.
I don't know.
Oh, okay, okay.
It's too late.
It's too late now. Right. They might be an option. I don't know. Oh, okay, okay. It's too late. It's too late now.
Right.
They might be an option.
I don't know.
I'm just saying.
Instead of going to Brooklyn, maybe go to the Knicks.
Maybe things would have been different.
We'll never know.
We'll never know.
We just know this has gone horribly wrong.
There's no way around it.
Look, we don't have to blame anybody,
but we can say this unequivocally.
This was terrible.
Yeah, it was.
It was.
Thunder filled Dylan Jones' car with packing peanuts
because he failed his rookie duties
keeping the team speaker charged.
Ocho, check out the video.
Yo, Dylan.
Popcorn?
Yeah.
Eat it.
Pack of peanuts.
Damn.
Damn!
Damn!
Yo!
Yo!
Yo!
Yo!
That's it.
Make sure the speaker's charged.
What is that?
That came out of the...
Packin' peanuts.
You know, like when you go to
UPS store and stuff like that.
Oh, okay, okay.
Hey, do your rookie duties, Rook.
Do your duties, bro.
Hold on, girl.
He better have
a service crew
Come detail
And get that out of there
He better be glad
They ain't put that
I ain't doing that
Better be glad
They ain't put that
Popcorn in there
Yo Jody
You know they used to
Put popcorn in there
Hey that
Boy that's gonna mess up
Yo I'm not sure
What type of interior
He would've had If they had put popcorn That's another styrofoam thing that's cool that's not bad
that's not hard to get out obviously it's um it's gonna be a pain he's not gonna do it himself
obviously but still oh man they they got me by accident didn't know my windows were down
when i was a rookie with the bangles i can't i don't know who did it still to this day but they took the fire extinguisher and they they did it
on the outside not realizing my windows was down because it was nighttime they had snuck out there
they had snuck out the i forgot where we were at we were in kentucky at um training camp
and they snuck outside and sprayed my whole car up,
didn't realize my windows was down, my whole inside.
They had the IS300, the little Lexus.
Yeah.
With the suede interior.
Yeah.
They done messed up all my interior, man.
Messing around with the fire extinguisher.
Yeah.
Oh, they get you.
They take them rookie duties serious.
Yeah, very, very, very, very serious.
Donuts, breakfast sandwich, chicken to the plane.
Yeah, when it's time to leave, when you travel, don't forget that Popeye's.
The lineman, I never forget.
Don't forget that Popeye's.
Popeye's.
Hey, they send you all over the damn place.
Got you bringing ribs and sweating up, sweating, hanging off.
Hey, I don't think you'll make that mistake again, but it's almost over.
Yeah.
It's almost over.
You only got like another month and a half until you run into the Lakers.
They seem to be over with.
That'll be the end of that.
Colorado is retiring Shador's number two and Travis Hunter's number 12.
The school announced number two and 12 will officially be untouchable.
The haters are out in full force.
Many pointed out that Florida hasn't even tied Tebow,
and he wants two national championships.
Anna Heisman, I played with 15 at Texas Tech, nine at LSU,
two of the most historic quarterbacks
in college football,
and neither had their jersey retired.
See?
You basing what somebody else got
based on what somebody else didn't get.
Gets you in trouble every time.
All the time.
Gets you in trouble every time.
I can't worry about who's jersey.
Hey, I did what I did.
Savannah State was thought enough for me.
They retired my jersey.
I'm humble.
I'm honored.
But if they had, what was I going to do?
I mean, I'm just trying to figure out, okay.
I don't, but why?
Who cares, Ocho right
right
I mean
listen they decided
to retire
what LSU does
at LSU
what Florida does
at Florida
how did that
impact Colorado
it doesn't
it doesn't at all
but I know one thing
when you think about
schools like LSU
think about schools
like Florida
but more so LSU
in that matter
if they get to retire in jerseys they run out of jerseys they wouldn't have thinking about schools like LSU, thinking about schools like Florida, but more so LSU in that matter.
Yeah.
If they get to retire in jerseys.
They run out of jerseys.
They wouldn't have no jerseys.
Right.
They don't have no jerseys.
Yes.
When you think about it.
Yes.
Yes.
I mean, I understand, you know,
Savannah State only had a handful,
you know, even Grambling.
All the great players just came out of Grambling.
You were tired of those.
Come on, man.
Some good ones.
It's so funny. A Southern, because, you know, back in the day,
that's where all the black players came from.
Came from.
Because they were doing great.
Before they were integrated, you had to go get a guy from black college football
if that's what you.
But I was like, bro, come on.
Yeah.
It is what it is. Again i i will always say it now will
always be my favorite line which is why i never compare any anything anything anything ever ever
i've always been this way i've never compared myself to anyone yeah worry about what they're
doing worry about what they're gonna do because comparison is a thief of joy if you live your
life comparing it with other people have going on,
boy, you're going to always be sad.
You're always going to be mad because they're going to always,
they're trying to always be someone
doing better than you.
Always, no matter what,
focus on yourself.
Put them blinders on
like a horse in a Kentucky Derby.
Right.
Just you, that shit.
Right.
One lane.
Stay out of other people's lane.
Well, you see,
sometimes when you start looking and then when it doesn't go, okay, that's how they feel about him over there.
Right.
Right.
I don't know his situation over there.
Clearly, they hold him in very high regard.
Yes, sir.
Just because they hold him in high regard, oh, you automatically assume that they're supposed to hold you like that? No, baby,
you don't have that relationship.
It's different.
It's very different.
Jerry said
Zach Martin, I think he's going to
put Zach Martin in the ring of fame
next year.
Huh?
For what?
I mean, there are a lot of great blue cowboys there are a lot of
guys in the hall of fame right bob lilly randy white roger stallback
it was more than a year before they got their number put up in the stadium
okay that's jerry decision that's somebody else decision yeah somebody else might have to wait
five ten fifteen years but you know anything when it come to jerry now you got to take whatever you Okay, that's Jerry's decision. That's somebody else's decision. Somebody else might have to wait five, 10, 15 years.
You know, anything when it comes to Jerry.
Now you got to take whatever you say with a grain of salt in there.
Right.
Okay.
Alabama ain't retired.
Okay, I get it.
Alabama, probably I don't think of anybody,
nobody I can think of off the top of my head retired in Alabama.
They've had some great ones.
Joe Namath.
They had Joe Namath.
They had Bart Starr
they had
Derek Thomas
they've had some
unbelievable players
come out of there
hold on
and that's another school
now you get to retire
some of the greats
that came out of Alabama
and they won't have
no football team
or jerseys
USC
Notre Dame
that's another school
Ohio State
Michigan
what are they going to say
oh dang he retired
Tom Brady, Jersey, and Michigan.
Yeah, come on now.
Look, Tom was good, but
Tom wasn't like
Tebow or like Cham
in college. Right.
Now, you get to the NFL,
I mean,
if anybody comes to New England
and asks for that number, if they even ask to take a picture of it, you should cut them on the spot.

that's anything but ordinary.
We dive into the competitive world of streaming,

What others dismiss as niche, we embrace as core.
It's this idea that there are so many stories out there. And if you can find a way to curate and help the right person discover the right content, the sports collide, and hear how leaders like

Listen to Good Company on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. In the fall of 1986, Ronald Reagan found himself at the center of a massive scandal
that looked like it might bring down his presidency.
Did you make a mistake in sending arms to Tehran, sir?
No.
It became known as the Iran-Contra affair.
And I'm not taking any more questions in just a second.
I'm going to ask...
I'm Leon Nafok, co-creator of Slow Burn.
In my podcast, Fiasco, Iran-Contra,
you'll hear all the unbelievable details of a scandal
that captivated the nation nearly 40 years ago,
but which few of us still remember today.
The things that happened were so bizarre and insane, I can't begin to tell you.
Please do.

As a child, as a young person, he gave credence to my audacity.
There's no debate that this is the greatest global sports figure of our lifetime.

Yeah, that's my dog.
Isaac Curtis is my dog.
But listen, 85 resonates globally.
I understand. It resonates globally.
I'm old enough to remember Isaac Curtis.
That's why.
Oh, yeah.
Listen, Isaac changed the game, man.
I know about Isaac.
I watched the film.
I watched the film.
Downtown Freddie Brown.
Oh, man, what you know about downtown?
Downtown, you from the crib, man.
Yeah, but nobody went to the U.
Yeah, Eddie Brown from down here.
Yeah.
And plus, now, Oklahoma with all them Heisman Trophy winning quarterbacks.
It is what it is.
Each school is different.
Each school has a different criteria.
My brother had his number two retired in South Carolina.
The year after, I mean, he stopped, retired it.
I don't know a whole lot of people that got the number.
I think George Rogers, he won the Heisman Trophy.
I think George has his retired.
I don't know if –'m trying to thank anybody else.
I don't know if Jadavion
might have his number retired.
Clowning.
Okay.
I know
joy
see
okay
okay yeah
so they ain't got a whole lot
nobody well
I don't know but no like
I mean
sometimes people like
when Deshaun
went to Clemson Steve
Fuller wore number four
that number was retired
Deshaun reached out they pulled
he gave him his blessing yes
same thing with Peyton
when he went to Denver 18 with
Frank Chepuka had it reached out to his family they said
it'd be on if he'd award boom
put it back
so
classic
okay
yeah
yeah what I I don't know like I, I don't know.
Like I said, I promise you, I'm going to go upstairs and I'm going to go to sleep.
This time.
Dope.
And later daytime.
And I don't think about stuff like this, Ocho.
I mean, I don't know why people get mad at stuff like this right no reason to
no reason to at all i mean they're really they're really i mean they're really mad
about this oh yeah absolutely absolutely because you you know why you know why we don't need to
get into why but obviously they're again comparing these players, we feel they were much greater at these institutions and these entities when they played and their jerseys aren't retired.
But why do you deserve to have, why does it matter? For one, you didn't like those individuals in the first place.
And the same people complaining, the same people complaining during season and in season.
And you ain't even go to school there. How do you complain about somebody else school when you ain't go there
there you go now i would like with them you know to give my number to somebody really good to make
it look good put that too long when they put when they put that uh 84 no you can't get two
two two is enough that ain't happening before I left, they retired number three.
Me and my brother were three in high school.
You couldn't get that number either.
So, but no, two, no, that ain't happening.
Why would you even want that?
Listen, if I was a youngster, like coming up, coming in right now,
and, you know, going to Savannah State, you might want
to let me wear that too. I'm not
going to do it.
Who?
What you mean? What you mean you might
want to not? What you talking about?
Man listen, I'd make that too look better
the way, I mean listen, you were that
boy. But I'm just saying
a young me coming up, going to
Savannah State during
this time right now, well, you might want
to have me because I'd be out there.
40
touchdowns in 39 games.
How many?
40. But, so,
that's back then. I might get 60
with what I know now.
Yeah.
Oh, what?
Man, I think, man, if I like, hold on.
Man, if Noah were after my rookie year, I was like, man, Noah what I know now.
If I could go back to college, I'd average 25 touchdowns a season.
Boy.
It's amazing.
If only, if only we knew what we knew now and were able to play again
like we were in our prime, our younger days. Man, please.
Plus, I think
didn't Mahomes,
they got the stadium or something named after Mahomes
at Texas Tech or something.
They were his
paraphrase, Adidas, Mahomes.
Right.
That makes sense. I know no one can
complain and say anything
about anything regarding Mahomes.
Yeah, I don't care who came by the Texas team.
They're not better than Mahomes, boy.
I don't know who came before him or after him, but he the greatest.
Unless you're the Jesus of Nazareth, unless you're the Jesus of Nazareth
and you don't win the Texas second-play quarterback,
there will be no comparison.
His logo is on
the field, Ocho. I think
they got a deal now. They got a deal with Adidas, right?
Okay, yeah.
It's not a 10-year deal.
Ocho, Travis Hunter says he
would quit football if he can't play both
sides. He said an NFL team
told him he had to focus on
wide receiver or quarterback and not
play both. it would be game
over for him. It's never playing football again because I've been doing this my whole life,
and I love being on the football field. I feel like I can dominate on each side of the ball,
so I really enjoy doing it. Listen, he's made it clear. He's made it abundantly clear.
Yep. If a team is willing to draft him, you understand what he wants. He't let there be any confusion.
Don't let there be any confusion. He already
told you what his wishes are.
What he's always done.
If you want a player that's going to
focus on one particular position,
then draft one
that can only focus on one particular position.
I think
he's going to give him... I don't think he's going to play
both sides of the ball as much as he played it in college. No, probably not. I think I think I think I think I think I think I think I think I think I think I think I think I think I think I think I think I think I think I think I think I think I think I think I think

I think I think I think I think playing it. Oh, Joe, Cam Ward basically confirms that he's going to be drafted by the Titans while playing Fortnite.
Chad asked him, who's your top four running
backs in the league right now? He said
Tony Pollard and TyJ Spears.
Ward is clearly about
Team Titan. Yeah, that was a good one.
That was a good one. That was a good one.
Yeah, look, they've
canceled their workouts for
the next two, three, four drop top prospects.
Yeah.
So.
They ain't give away.
They ain't give away.
Caleb Williams admits he cried at the games this season.
Losing Chicago was brutal.
I'll be honest with you.
I've never lost this much.
When I got home,
I got my bed.
I just dropped tears.
I was just so beat up mentally, spiritually.
He later said,
I think the NFL game has become very friendly,
and I don't necessarily want to be friends because I want to keep that competitive advantage.
Ocho?
Yeah.
What do you think?
I mean, I like it.
Man, we've seen the cry in the stands
After a USC game
On how much it meant to him
Obviously they've won so much
At USC
He was used to winning
And now coming to a structured environment
At the highest level
With the one percenters
It's not as easy as it was in college
You're going to have your ups and downs
Right
Now the difference is
What he has to understand
Is most of the wins
Are going to be in his hands
He can be responsible For them winning all the time because he has the ball most of the time.
So it's based on his decision making and what he decides to do with the ball.
Now, with a coach like Ben Johnson and having DJ Moore and the rest of that group collectively,
you can do some great things because I think Caleb Williams is special.
I think he's special.
I do too. I agree with you, Joe.
Huh?
I agree.
Oh yeah.
He's special in some of the things that he can do,
you know,
as a quarterback,
he's,
he's very gifted.
And I think he has the right,
right person in Ben Johnson and the rest of their staff to get the most out of,
uh,
out of him and the potential that he possesses.
So I don't think there will be that many tears this coming season.
That's a very, very, very difficult division that the Bears are in.
So we'll see what happens.
Yes.
Ocho, the Dolphins are looking to trade Jalen Ramsey.
Chris Greer said he thinks it's time for them both to move on separately.
Okay.
I have no problem with that.
The only reason they want to move on is because of salary.
They just want to get that money off their books.
They think they slick.
Well, what they should do, if they knew what they were doing,
and I love Jalen Ramsey.
Jalen Ramsey, to me, is still a top five, top five corner in this NFL,
especially when it comes to playing man-to-man, bump and run, off, whatever it may be.
Very, very adequate and still good at what he does.
I think he should make a move to safety.
I think it would be dope, especially going into the back end.
I think the McCourty did it as well.
The McCourty started out as corners, and then as they got into their 30s,
they went to the safety position.
I think it can be a very viable option on another team somewhere else playing the safety position.
I don't know.
What do you think?
Charles Woodson, Rod Woodson, Aeneas Williams.
Yes.
All those were started out at corner and eventually moving to safety.
I mean, look, they signed Tyreek.
And it worked out for a while,
but I don't know.
I'm still not believing that they potentially
might move him on draft night, Ocho.
He had one down.
I get it, but I think, Ocho,
I think it's kind of the drama
that comes along with Tyreek.
Yeah.
You drafted Minkah Fitzpatrick.
You traded him.
Yeah.
Miami Tunsil.
You traded him.
Yes, sir.
You're looking to move on,
potentially, with Jalen Ramsey.
Mm-hmm.
I mean,
Vince is one of the best safeties in the league.
Tunsil's one of the best left tackles in the league.
You can use both of them right now
you could
where did Tulsa go
he's not in Houston no more
now he just went to
Washington
oh that's a good one
that's a good move
yeah
that's a good move
Mike Gesicki is now in
Cincinnati. He's up there with Joey B.
Catching passes.
I'm confused. I don't really know what the
Dolphins are doing. I have no
idea either because I also saw the
quote earlier to the write-up
about if a team came to us
with two first-round picks, we'll consider
moving Tyreek Hill.
I saw that one. And then right after that, I saw the Jalen Ramsey news as well. And so, okay,
I'm like, what are we doing? Are we trying to compete? Are we trying to do anything in the
AFC East? Or are we just trying to give it to Buffalo? Are we just trying to give it to Buffalo
each and every year? So obviously what I see going on now is it's going to be years and years and years before we can rebuild.
And I'm saying we because I'm from Miami.
Years and years before we can rebuild and collectively get a team, whether it be through the draft,
whether it be through offseason acquisitions that can compete with the Buffalo Bills.
So obviously all over again.
So it goes New England dominating the AFCs for a very long time. Now all of a sudden it's going to be the Buffalo Bills. So obviously, all over again, so it goes New England dominating the AFCs
for a very long time.
Now all of a sudden,
it's going to be the Buffalo Bills
dominating the AFCs for a very long time.
When is it going to be our turn?
And this is coming from a Dolphin fan since 1968.
When is it going to be our turn?
It ain't going to be our turn this year,
that's for damn sure.
Nah, it's just showing.
So wait, not the way they moving.
Yeah, I don't know.
And, you know,
I think Terran Armstead,
didn't he just retire?
Y'all left tackle,
he was injured last year.
I think he just retired.
And what's the other,
what's the other left tackle?
Oh, that's the one
from the Cowboys.
Oh, you talking about
Tyron Smith?
Yeah, he's retiring too, ain't he?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
He signed a ceremonial contract, I think, tomorrow.
Yeah.
Okay.
But I think Tyron Armstead, I think he retired.
Oh, man.
That ain't good.
It's not getting better.
No, it's not looking good for you guys.
Ocho, high school baseball player who peed in the opponent's water jug
is now facing 15 counts of battery.
It is then believed that the 15 players
drank the pee-tainted water.
This has led to a Rio Rancho player
to be reported to juvenile probation and parole
with law enforcement officials
believing there is cause to charge the boy
with 15 counts of battery,
one for each who drank the tainted water.
The players facing charges saying it simply meant that, bro, see?
Now, see, no.
This is all they're playing.
It's just a prank, Ocho.
You know, kids being kids. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Listen, the pranks have gotten very extensive, especially this day and age.
Stop playing.
People don't.
Oh, Joe.
Everybody don't play the same.
I know.
You say it all the time.
People don't play the same.
They don't.
Somebody see.
Especially something like that.
I can tell you right now there's a good chance he don't look like us.
Oh, absolutely not.
Not playing like that.
There's certain things you can hear based on games that are being played
and you can hear what the person did and you know it's not us you know that because we don't play
like that that's not the kind of plan we that's what see ocho and people wonder why you don't play
that's why i don't play because you see because see you know i, Ocho? You do a little something, they go to the extreme.
Right.
The best way to do that
is just don't play.
You don't have to worry about it.
Right.
Man, somebody get hurt.
Mm-hmm.
I know one thing about you. You don't play by that money.
I don't care
nobody that money. He did that.
Boy, look here. But see,
it would have been easy back then because when
I was growing up, guys drank
behind each other all the time.
It ain't like it is now.
Everybody got their own water bottle.
Everybody got their own cup. It was
nothing. But you, hey man, let me guess where
you're at. Alright, here you go.
And pass it. Now everybody got their own water bottle of their own, you know, got their name some of that. All right, here you go. And pass it.
Now everybody got their own water bottle of their own, you know, got their name
on it, they drank their special concoction,
and everybody drank out of the cup and they throw it in the trash.
Man, people, y'all need to stop playing all
the time. I see these touching
somebody girl in the mall and doing
all this other stuff and running up on
people. Okay? Oh, yeah.
With the cameras. Those are the content
creators of the day. The content creators.
Now the content creators, they go
a little overboard
to create their content. So you never know how
people are going to react. You never know.
You got to be careful.
That's why I don't know why
people feel like
to do stuff
like that. I've never
No. I don never... No.
I don't know.
And when I think about it,
when you think about it,
like, in hindsight,
when I see it and think about,
wait a minute,
you kind of peed in the water bottle
and mixed it with water.
Yeah, there was a guy that did that.
He got, like, years.
He did this at work.
And he got, like, 15 years, I think.
Not enough time.
Right.
And, you know, that's the same thing if you
ever would have no man i don't want to i'm often going left field with it but don't worry about it
for me i mean in order for for like i said oh joe we had a group it was me burns
dude named uh alan all the rest his soul calling roscoe. Yeah. House and foot.
It was five of us.
Mm-hmm.
Okay.
We had, you know,
but I was like, man,
this stuff is getting out of hand.
I said, hey, bro,
let's go ahead and end this.
So we ended it.
But I got to,
for me, Ocho,
I got to know you.
Don't just be,
oh, man, let's go pray.
Come on, man.
First of all,
I'm a granddad.
Right.
Two times now.
I ain't got time
to be playing no foolies,
no childish games.
Mm-hmm.
They be playing
all this stuff.
I mean,
that ain't,
come on.
I get it,
though, Joe.
Dropping,
putting water on somebody,
you know.
Right.
And loosening the salt or the pepper shaker.
Okay, that's one thing.
Bro, you peeing somebody water and they drank it
and you talking about that's a joke?
Yeah, yeah.
And speaking of that, you know, you ain't never,
hey, listen, I don't mean to go in left field.
I'm just thinking about it, right?
Yeah.
You ain't never, like, and then, you know,
and then it, like, it surprised you and it hits you and you
taste it like no like no no no you know what i'm talking about yeah i was trying to give you
context clues without really saying it because i don't want to i don't i don't want us to get
flagged but you know what i'm talking about i call it i call it i call it the arnold palmer
i don't call it that yeah there are a few women you meet like that and it's a mixture of both fluids.
No?
No.
You don't ever taste it?
I sure don't.
Okay, I'm just asking.
Okay, I'm just asking.
Ocho,
the incident was filmed
by his friends
and uploaded to Snapchat.
You see?
We don't play like that.
We don't play like that.
You know it's not us.
Nah.
Nah.
We don't play like that.
There needs to be a limit on the jokes.
Like I said,
my grandfather
wasn't like that. And I think
me growing up around grown folks,
so-and-so,
that,
you know what I'm saying?
Like,
my grandfather be like,
okay,
we played,
but it wasn't no playing in the house.
My grandfather didn't play that.
No.
It wasn't no playing in the house.
It wasn't no running.
Well,
I mean,
hell,
it was only a thousand square foot,
so you wouldn't run it,
but so far.
Hey, you have to be laughing hey it run out the door
boy stop slamming that screen door
yeah yeah
you run out the whole show and you miss writing you think you
will hit the door and you hit the screen and you
push the screen out oh lord have mercy
man the whooping you finna
get there boy what
I remember them days
close my god damn door letting in all them god damn flies man the whooping you finna get there boy what i remember them days but all my goddamn dope
letting in all them goddamn flies yep running up my electricity what are you talking about
what the electricity got to do with the dope being open
but all those things and oh joe all those things that they said that we took for granted
yeah
but we didn't have
those centuries
we had a fan
and it had
we had that box
we had that box fan
Ocho
I don't know if they still make them
but the fan we had
you get it at Walmart
the iron blade
they had the iron blades
I don't know
do they still make fans
with iron blades
cause now they got
plastic blades
but with the blades
it broke off and it'd
be dancing so we had to put a big uh uh uh a cinder block only to keep it from dancing because
because three blades is over two it was unbalanced yeah yeah they still make them they still make them
but close the door you know do all this but when you start
paying for stuff
my brother used to say
all the time
I leave the door open
leave this open
he said man
and then one day
he said
I ain't gonna say nothing
he said
when you get your own place
you'll see
you'll understand
and Unc
you don't understand
until you have kids
Unc
you don't understand
the things your grandma
and your granddad
used to tell you
back in the days
or your mom used to say
back in the days when you were used to say Back in the days
When you were younger
And it doesn't resonate to you
Until you have kids
Then you get a better understanding
Oh this is why
You always used to say that
Oh this is why
Hey
Bro
We had to go in the refrigerator
We had to already know
What we was going to get
You couldn't open the refrigerator
And be looking
And sit there waiting
Boy close that fridge
It wasn't like the refrigerator and be looking. And sit there waiting. Boy, close that refrigerator.
It wasn't like unless you wanted some baking soda.
The one thing I know is going to be in that refrigerator is baking soda.
Every time. Whether it's empty or not.
It might not be. Some tea.
Some tea. And you couldn't
drink that. Only my grandfather and grandmother could drink
the tea. I don't know why the hell you make it.
So you got all these kids in here, and they can't
drink no tea. Tea just for y'all two.
But just open the refrigerator and just be looking.
My kids be in the
You don't know
you went to the refrigerator for something. You know
in the head you want it. Now all of a sudden you
like you had the grocery out, you just walking up, you just
looking.
Oh, it was a good day.
There was a day though, Joe. Yeah, it was. there was a day though joe yeah it was there was a day but hey this dude i don't know
your name bro if this is true that you peed in this bottle yeah that's okay Hey.
Hey.
See, that's too much.
See, because see, that's the thing, Ocho.
That's why, hey.
Because remember I told you, Ocho, grandpa used to always say, boy, you play with a puppy, it'll lick you in the mouth.
I'm Michael Kassin, founder and CEO of 3C Ventures and your guide on Good Company,
the podcast where I sit down with the boldest innovators shaping what's next.
In this episode, I'm joined by Anjali Sood, CEO of Tubi, for a conversation that's anything but ordinary.
We dive into the competitive world of streaming, how she's turning so-called niche into mainstream gold, connecting audiences with stories that truly make them feel seen.
What others dismiss as niche, we embrace as core. It's this idea that there are so many stories out there.
And if you can find a way to curate and help the right person discover the right content, the term that we always hear from our audience is that they feel seen.
Get a front row seat to where media, marketing, technology, entertainment, and sports collide.
And hear how leaders like Anjali are carving out space and shaking things up a bit in the
most crowded of markets.

Did you make a mistake in sending arms to Tehran, sir?
No.
It became known as the Iran-Contra affair.
And I'm not taking any more questions in just a second.
I'm going to ask...
I'm Leon Nafok, co-creator of Slow Burn.
In my podcast, Fiasco, Iran- Contra, you'll hear all the unbelievable details of a

You see?
Now somebody got to try to
one-up a prank.
You did this, Ochoa. I got to do that. I got to get you back. I got to extend it. I got to try to one-up a prank. Oh, yeah. You did this, Ocho.
I got to do that.
I got to get you back.
I got to extend it.
I got to keep it going.
I got to get you back.
Delete that.
Delete that.
Just delete that right there.
All right, Ocho.
Now it's time for our final segment of the evening.
It's time for Q&A.
Oh, man.
Y'all donated.
He said, can the fellas get some Big 3 advice?
What advice you want, bro?
He said Big 3.
Huh?
He talking about basketball?
I know he want no one of those big three.
I mean, you trying to play in the big three?
You should have...
You got to be an NBA player, don't you?
No?
I guess.
Yeah, I mean...
Are there people, are there casual...
Are there civilians that play on the big three teams?
Or is everybody retired NBA players?
Everybody played in the NBA.
I think that's the rule.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Bosque,
the Tempest,
three things in life
is certain.
Death taxes
in 84, 85
always going to be open.
That's true.
That's fact.
League of the Five.
Everybody love,
everybody love,
everybody night.
Hey,
somebody said
I got on a stripper jersey.
You got a fishnet on that fishnet?
Nah, this Tyron Taylor brand.
Oh, is it?
Yeah, Diallo.
That was funny.
You know, Tyron Taylor got a nice, really dope brand.
Good stuff, man.
Nice casual stuff.
Yeah, yeah.
Astro said Ice Cube, Inner Tube, Delta Blues.
Legos Empire. Yeah. Yeah. Astro said, Ice Cube, Inner Tube, Delta Blues. Legos in fire.
Legos in fire.
The Great Brow said,
the Nuggets got rid of their coach
and GM instead of the best player,
instead of their best player.
At least the Nuggets did,
did that right.
Go Broncos.
Yeah.
Look,
sometimes,
sometimes you can, look, they went the nba finals and for whatever reason
deandre ayton and monty williams could not get along yeah for whatever reasons i don't know
but it seemed maybe it was uh uh da his motor didn't one run hot all the time or as well as Monty was thinking.
But for whatever reason, they had a nice team.
You had a big.
You had D-Book.
You had Chris Paul facilitating.
You had a nice.
Hey, you have Mikael Bridges that could defend, could knock down shots.
You had Cameron Johnson.
You had a nice
backup and campaign.
And they just
blew it up.
And where's DeAndre Aiden at now?
Portland.
Dab Smith said
Katie DeDenver makes the most sense
since Jokic needs an all-star.
We got Jamal Murray.'s an all-star. We got Jamal Murray.
Not an all-star.
I mean, not an all-star.
But he's an all-star caliber player.
But he's a goddamn all-star.
I think the thing is what makes them, look, they gave up all their defense. No KCP, no Bruce Brown, guys that could defend and do all the dirty work.
Now you got guys that want to score.
You know, I mean, as a defense, who you got to play deep?
That's not Yoker's thing.
That's not Murray's thing.
That's not MPJ, Michael Porter Jr.
That's not what he's known for.
Gordon is a defender.
But, I mean, he's a big-body guy.
But I'm just trying to figure, where are you guys that are going to defend?
They gave all that up.
I don't see KD going to Denver.
I don't know if they have the draft picks. I mean,
who are you going to get? Who are you going to give up?
You going to get Murray? They're not going to give you Murray.
Right.
I mean, you got to go somewhere that
somebody have draft compensation
to give you. Because, yeah, you want
a few good players, but you want that draft pick.
You want that draft capital. You got to
restock what you gave up.
Brea Carter says,
I feel like they should skip the ads
especially when we get a show this
late. This show started at 1 a.m.
How you think the show started?
Because of the ads.
You know,
there are people here. There are producers.
Ocho got a producer
I got a producer
we got graphics
we got editors
we got social media team
they don't work
because they like
84 and 85
they work for money
yeah I don't think
I don't think people
understand that
they don't understand that
I mean when y'all
watch the games
how y'all think
think about
the Super Bowl
how many commercials
does Super Bowl have
how many sports how many name the sporting event that you've seen that don't run any ads as a
matter of fact tell me the event that you've seen on television that haven't run ads I can only think
of one the Masters that time when they uh they was everybody was boycotting because they didn't
uh admit a a woman into the thing and they ran the commercial free But I just want y'all to tell me, so
what are we supposed to do?
You're right.
Come on, man.
I just care. I mean, Chad, I just want
y'all tell us a way
that we're able to do this
pay the 15 people that
we have that works on just
nightcap alone.
When you say, what do you need a producer for?
That lets me know, you know, nothing about television, which is why we have ads.
But I'm just saying, tell me your favorite program,
your favorite TV show.
Tell me the one that you seen it in its entirety.
And they played,
no,
they had no commercials.
They've all,
all my favorites have commercials.
Good times.
Sam for this son,
all in the family,
small wonder,
punky Brewster.
I could keep going.
15.
They all have commercials.
Y'all do realize that an hour of programming,
when you see an hour of programming,
the show is actually only 32 minutes long.
The other 28 minutes are commercials.
Commercials, yeah.
The bills got to be paid, huh?
The bills got to be paid.
The bills are paid because of the commercials.
Yeah. We did because of the commercials. Yeah.
We did start with zero commercials.
We, and we was basically,
and I was basically playing people out of my pocket.
Oh, speaking of, I owe you,
I forgot I owe you too.
I'm glad you said that.
But I've stopped, I look.
Yes, the first zero,
that's the whole point.
The whole point.
Listen,
we're not a nonprofit
people.
It requires money to do this.
It does.
I mean,
I don't,
I don't know really,
really want to tell people.
So I don't, I don't know really, really what to tell people. So I'm sorry,
guys,
we got,
we got to have commercials and,
uh,
hopefully we can get some more.
Uh,
Casey Taylor,
yo,
uh,
is there a story behind how grinding all my life became the intro for club
Shay Shay.
Also,
we've got baby,
the rock or my homes are in intro for Club Shay Shay. Also, Weezy, El Baby, The Rock, or Mahomes
are in the future lineup.
The Rock,
yes.
I can try to get Mahomes. I can't guarantee
it. I think I can get
Weezy.
Yeah.
I think I can get Wheezy.
Rocky's going to be a little bit more
difficult because, you know, between
the movies and all the
stuff that he has going on,
basically you're going to have to fly to him. I'm going to have to fly
to Hawaii or
one of the 15 places that he calls
home. That's a
simple call. Simple call. Right here.
Simple call.
Dr. Frankie L. Bellamy. Hey,
fam. Unc, I saw my
other Unc Sterling yesterday.
He was cool as always. We had a good time.
Oh,
must be down there at Myrtle Beach.
Was it Myrtle Beach?
I think it was Myrtle
Beach. Because they normally have a tournament after
the Masters, the Monday after the Masters.
They normally have a tournament down there.
All right, Doc.
I appreciate that.
PC said, love from Toronto, Canada.
Almost 3 a.m. here, but I'm rocking with you guys.
Random question.
What do you do when you're low on motivation or life gets overwhelming?
I.e., how do you manage tough emotions since you're both athletes?
Compartmentalized? Mm-hmm. I.e., how do you manage tough emotions since you're both athletes? Compartmentalized?
Mm-hmm.
I got a job to do.
Let me do this job.
And then once the job is over, I go think about how I need to get done what I needed to get done.
Whatever those emotions are.
If I'm dealing with something personal in my life, if I'm dealing with kids or somebody, whatever the case may be, the job's got to get done.
Only people, Ocho, only people that work a nine to five have work-life balance.
When you run your company, there is no work-life balance because you're always on the clock
because you're responsible for what comes out.
Everything.
So I don't get that luxury like, oh, somebody else will figure it out.
No, it doesn't work like that.
Now, if you want work-life balance, have at it.
I got no problem.
So I don't want y'all to come in here throwing shade at people to work 9 to 5.
No, you work nine to five to fulfill
somebody else's dreams but in this situation no joe everybody's gonna go through something
yeah something always but i can't stop i got a job to do i can't i couldn't call it the broncos
or the ravens i can't call it couldn't call it cbs or fox the Ravens. I couldn't call it CBS or Fox or ESPN.
I can do that job because I don't think in the two hours that it requires me to do my job,
I don't really think there's much I can do about it, especially from where I am.
That's just me.
Everybody deals with situations how they choose to, but this is how I choose to deal with mine.
I'm going to do what I need to do,
and then I'm going to take care of what I need to take care of,
to each his own.
You know, the first half of this question, too,
I never understood how people lack motivation in general.
I never understood that part, especially when there's a...
Well, you're not doing something that you like if you like motivation.
Yeah, that just...
I never understood that.
Never.
The smallest goal, short-term, long-term, whatever it may be, to accomplish anything in life, you got to be motivated to do it.
You got to be.
You got to be motivated about something.
Something got to get you going.
And you shouldn't have to rely on other people doing it for you to do it.
You shouldn't have to rely on your friends to get up and go to the gym.
What are you passionate about?
Because if you're passionate about something,
when you're passionate about Ocho, you need very little motivation.
What makes you jump out of bed?
That's the question.
Because when you're
passionate about something,
oh, you're going to put
your all into it.
Hey, everything.
And you're going to be
really good at it.
Everything.
Listen, when I'm motivated,
whatever it is I'm locked in on,
it becomes my purpose.
Yes.
It becomes my purpose.
It's almost as if
I'm living for just that specific thing whatever
it may be at that time that has me motivated right man i don't play i don't i don't play
i don't worry about that i you know what you know what intentional means when you're intentional
when you do something man you worked man. You worked all your life.
We worked all our life
to get in this position.
Now, I'm supposed to relax now.
Shit.
All right.
I don't...
I've always been
one of those guys, Ocho.
No matter the goal,
no matter what I accomplish,
what's the next goal
to accomplish?
Mm-hmm.
What can I,
I don't,
I don't stand on the mountain like,
yes,
yes,
I might get to the top,
but I'm going to look at,
don't look on the rise and then see if there's another summit that I can
scale.
I'm,
I'm just a mode.
I'm a very motivated and driven person.
I've always,
I always,
I've always been that way.
Yes, sir.
And so I don't know why people be surprised when they see me have success
when you know how motivated I am.
I'm all in on stuff.
I don't – this is my focus.
And it's one thing to be motivated, but you also put the work in.
Oh, Joe, think about how motivated you were to do
for the bingles
or
the CW
you can't be that motivated for yourself
that's what I don't give to people
people show up and need people's jobs and don't miss a day
for 10 years, 15 years
but after they do something for themselves it's like job and don't miss a day for 10 years, 15 years.
But after you do something for yourself, it's like...
See?
You see, I like that you just went there.
Now you're leading me right into my next thing.
Now you see why I'm enjoying myself?
You see why I'm doing stuff for myself right now?
I like that.
I like that. So now you get...
I want you to do something for me.
Do something for me.
I am. I got you. Remember I told you in June, Baltimore show, I'm going to pay you live get to do something for me. Huh? Do something for me.
I am.
I got you.
Remember I told you in June,
Baltimore show,
I'm going to pay you live and personally in front of everybody.
50s, you want it.
What you want?
100s,
50s,
or 20s.
I got to wait till then?
That ain't too far.
That's right behind the corner.
No.
I mean,
Uncle Sam.
Who?
Uncle Sam.
Touch your boy up today.
The only Sam I know is Cook.
That would be important
talking about Uncle Sam, won't you?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
That's what you get, Uncle Sam.
