on a minute's restriction in the team playing game against the clippers in Los Angeles tomorrow. Steve Kerr said that Steph Curry, Christopperzingis, and Al Horpher will all play fewer than 40 minutes and it must win game. Well, damn, I hope so. They would play few

than 40 minutes? Yeah. Hold on. Let me see something tonight. That's a must-win game. Why are he going to dictate how many minutes

they're playing already? I guess he said, because I got the clippers won in that game. You don't believe, you don't believe in them boys over there in the Bay, huh? I said I got the clippers.

Now, me and you can continue to bet if you won't. Oh, no. I ain't got no horse in that race. I mean, if you think about it, The Charlotte Hornets and Miami, they went to overtime. And Miles Bridges with overtime played 43 minutes. La Mello Ball played 40 minutes.

They played the most. And then you got Miami, Andrew Wiggins had 42, Khalil Ware had 42, Davy on Mitchell had 48, and Harmon Hockheads had 41. So I hope in a regulation game, if it doesn't go overtime, they play fewer than 40 minutes. Yeah. I mean, Steph don't normally play that many minutes.

He don't play, though. Steph has really never played no, like, major minutes because they were so concerned about his ankles, Joe. Right. But obviously come postseason time, all bets are off. But I guess they're saying, look, coming out the knee injury and dealing with what he's dealing with when he's getting on up there and they, they say, you know what, we're not going going to even chance it.

Right. Because Steve Kerr knows the intensity that those guys are going to have to play with tomorrow to even win the game. He didn't know how physical that game going to be. Right. You know what I mean? And with Steph just coming back, you don't want them to re-aggravate nothing, but at the same time, hell, if you want to continue to keep playing,

you're going to need that man on the floor. For sure. Yeah. Even just his presence on the core open things up for other players. There you go. There you go. I don't know if you got much choice, Steve. It ain't like you got, you know, prime clay and KD out there

so you can really dictate that Steph is only going to play 30 minutes. You ain't got them hostess that can run like that anymore. Yeah. Nah, they're going to have to get some great contribution for some of them other guys, you know, who've been playing pretty, you know, pretty. Yeah, Paul's going to have to play really well. Yeah. Yeah.

But the thing is, you know, they traded comminga. Moses, Moody's hurt. I mean, maybe they got to get some production from, they got another guy, a guy from Brazil that's been shooting the, come out of the ball. I know. I don't be knowing none of them guy neither. I ain't going to like to.

He's going to have to play really well. for you'll have to play well. LeBron spoke about finally avoiding the playing tournament this year. Let's take a listen to what Braun had to say. We have them playing. Yeah, I mean, it's going to be great. I am happy because being a participant

of the fucking playing for some years, that I get to sit back on my couch with my wine, knowing I don't have to play until the weekend. Are you not entertained? And just sit there and just like enjoy. I'll have one

iPad will golf on and the other one with the playing. Yeah, I would just be so excited. You get a week to repair and watch them. It's good games. Yeah, watch and just like enjoy basketball. Yeah. Yeah. Hey, look, I know he'll appreciate this because y'all remember when they first came

over with this playing thing, you know, Brian hated it. Yeah, Brun hated it. He wasn't with that. Yeah. And so for the past. But he realized that had, without the play in hell, I wouldn't even be in the tournament. So listen. What happened of a dislike turned into a blessing?

Yeah. Yeah, because the past three, four years, they've been in the play in. And, yeah, I'm sure, look, I'm sure he's happy. He'd get a chance to kind of sit back. But I think he does understand the challenges that's ahead of him, you know, and playing this Rocket team without Luca and AR. You know what I mean?

Yes. I've heard him talk on numerous occasions, obviously talking about it's going back to, like, 2018 on where he kind of basically got to carry of his team. I think he knows and I understand that. So I expect to see aggressive LeBron, especially game one. I know normally he typically kind of fills people out, feels teams out, but he ain't got time to be doing that on because they're at home.

They can't squander no games away. Right. And if he had one of them subpart games and where he could score 12, 13, 14 points, they're going to get beat by 30. Yeah, they're going to be in trouble. Plus the thing is, Joe, yeah, and we talked about that the other day, about 2018, but he was 33 then. Yeah, yeah. It's a big-ass different in professional sports from 33 to 40.

Yeah. I think, yeah, it's a big difference, but if it's anybody who could do it, I think we would all agree that LeBron could do it. I think given the fact that I know he's 41, but his body is in great shape, this week of rest, I definitely think it's going to help him. him. Yes. You know what I mean? Because he's going to have to play big minutes too. He's probably going to be at 40 minutes tonight.

Easy. Yeah. Definitely more than the 34 minutes that he probably average. I think he'll probably average the fewest minutes that he's played in his NBA career. Yeah. So, yeah, he's going to be somewhere north of, I think he has to be north of 37, 38 minutes. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.

No question. No question. So hopefully they can keep that dang afloat when he's not in the game. But for the most part. Yes. I think the biggest difference between a young great player because when you're great, they don't compare you against other great players

that compare you against your younger self. You see what we did, don't Joe? Yeah. We didn't say anything. We said LeBron 2018. Yeah. We didn't say nothing about any other great player. Well, he needs to be like Jaylen Brown.

He needs to be like Yolkich. He need to be like Shay. We compared him to a younger self. Yeah. And that's what the grades get compared to. They don't get compared to the great playing now, you compare them to a younger version of themselves.

Yeah. When you're a younger version of yourself, you know what you can do? When you're a younger version of yourself, what you're you, you're 20, you give between them 12 back to back to back to back. Oh, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow.

play Toronto and you look up and look at the series when they play the hawks or when they play uh the Celtics. That man, they ain't doing nothing. I had a lot of Celtics series when I was in the East.

But what are they going to get that's going to be comfortable to him? I have no idea, Joe, but holding on to somebody that, I mean, I have no idea. Joe, you wouldn't know better than me, but I'm just saying when it comes to the things like this, especially with players where obviously star player, he has the injury bug, he has an injury bug,

He hasn't been available, you know, for a lot, for a lot of his career, issues off the court at times, you know, here and there. I don't know. Is it worth it at this point? Still, still great when he's healthy. Oh, he's one of the best by easily. But what we expected him to be coming out of college, he hasn't lived up to the hype. No. Well, I think when he does play, he gives you great production.

Oh, yeah. But it's just, yeah, sometimes you don't know when he's going to play. But when he's on the floor, you get great production from him. He's strong, Joe. I think he can be way better than what he's showing. Actually, I just think there's another level to, you know, his regimen that he has to add, which is, you know, obviously training harder, eating better, you know. Because if he come in into some real shape, like, Joe, you guys.

to think can't nobody guard this man already as it is right now no if that man made his mind up that he wanted to be a top five player in his league top 10 i think he can easily do that it takes to work but i think he can easily do that ain't matter of fact i think the biggest thing i'm disappointed is that i thought he'd be a better he should be a double double guy there ain't no way he shouldn't be a 20-10 guy i agree no way no way in hell he shouldn't be a 20 and 10 guy right Too athletic. Too much talent. He, Joe, he is a more athletic Charles Barkley.

If Charles Barkley could be a 20 and 10 guy, if Charles Barkley could lead the league in rebounding, the shortest guy to ever lead the league in rebounding at 6'4, ain't no way it helps I.L. Williamson can't get 10 to rebound the game. Oh, no. That's at the minimum. Yeah. I know, no, I think he can definitely do that.

I think the most underrated part of his game to me, Ocho, is his ball handling ability. Did he get the ball? Oh, man, the way he handles the ball, like, can't nobody his size or taller. They can't stay in front of them. They can't guard him. That's why I say he's like a cheat code.

And if he ever make his mind up that he wanted to be one of the best to ever play this game, bro, this would be a scary sight. I agree. But you said something, but you heard what he said, Ocho? Yeah. If he makes his mind up. Yeah. Not us wanting him to make his mind up.

He has to do it. Yeah. He wants to want it for him. got the one of himself. Boy, I'd have had me, I'd have been had meal chef. Man. I'd have a meal chef. I'm in New York.

No, I had somebody. I had, when I was home, when at Atlanta, I had this company that would prepare my food. Oh, yeah. And then, you know, my lady would cook. But I'm simple. I, Joe, I don't, like I said, give me chicken breasts, brown rice,

some green beans. man, it's bland, okay? Yeah. See, this is why I know no one can train like I could because I know they're eating for pleasure. I eat for survival. There you go.

That's why you can't beat me. You can't. Hey, that's a bar. They're eating for pleasure, you're eating for survival. Okay. I like that. So that's why I was.

That's where I was at. That's what my mind said. So they're not, that's why I know. They're not going to do that. They're not going to eat. They're not going to eat the same thing every day for 90 days. Right.

That's hard. They're not. They not. You're not going to go, you're not going to go two, three days without eating food. You're not going to go a day and a half without drinking water. I ain't telling you what I could do. I'm telling you what I did do. There you go.

So that's what I say. They be talking all that be talking about, you can't. Because I already know. not going to push yourself like that. You're not going to go to that. See, I'll go to a place that's uncomfortable, pull up a chair and get comfortable. Yeah. See, I know what it's like to get into that hurt locker. Yeah. They're not getting that hurt locker, oh, Joe.

They were talking. They ain't going to get in that hurt locker. I'll be here for a while. See, a man that's been to hell, he don't care about going back. That's when you know. That's when you know, when you start to question yourself, when you ask yourself, why am I doing this? What am I doing this for? How much longer do I have?

Where the hell of I'm going? When is this over? Right. Ask yourself, though. When you train, ask yourself those five questions. If you don't ask yourself those five questions, you ain't training, you're working out. There's the difference between the two.

I'm training because I want to be able to call on my body and know that it's been there in a go again. See, hey, if you haven't put your body through that, how do you know what it will do? Right. But you go work out, you go do your little thing, you look good. But see, I'm training.

Because when I call on my body, see, you calling your body to the first quarter, boy, I feel good. Yeah. And when you call it on in the fourth quarter, you still feel the same way. Got nothing in the time. Mm-hmm.

When you're running on fumes. Boy, that's the difference. That's a mindset. that's why I know the guys couldn't train that's why they couldn't beat me when I played because I know they weren't doing what I was doing it's the same thing now Ocho what asked you man Ocho that's all you do at work man

when you're going to get some time off but you want you want your man man a man hey and I tell people when they ask they ask me all the time Joe and Ocho man man you got your thing with nightcap and you got your thing with club Sheet Blake's Y Z so what how do I I said, okay, tell me what you're trying to do.

Well, I kind of want to set up like what you and Ocho got, especially when I'm doing nightcap, but I want to set up like this. I want a three-cabble system. I said, well, this is my camera. That's your camera. This is the slide that's going back and forth. X, Y, Z.

I said, bloom, bloom. I said, look, everybody, everything is different. I said, now for nightcap, I have people that only work on nightcap. I'm shay-shay people. Man, you got, yeah. Yes, but that's what it takes. I said, after I'm done with you, I'm going to get on nightcap with Ocho and Joe.

And then I'm going to come back tomorrow and I'm going to tape somebody else. And then I'm going to go get on the nightcap with your, just got to, hey, just tape the game today. Tape yesterday. Take the day before. Guess what? I'm going to get my black ass on a plane. I'm going to get to Vegas.

I'm going to go in my garage, do cardio, and guess what? I'm going to get on a nightcap with you guys. And then guess what I'm going to do on Thursday? Guess what we're going to do Thursday, Ocho? We're going to get on the damn podcast and we're going to do WW. Oh, yeah. And we're going to do it again on Friday. And guess what?

Yeah. Basically it's work. That's it. Yeah. It ain't no secret. It ain't no secret. It's hard day of work to be good at something. It's even harder to be great at it.

Everybody wants to go to heaven, but don't nobody want to die. I don't see how one's possible without the other. I mean, but we ain't going to do that. We ain't going to get to the Bible.
