Now we go to, they in Super Bowl 50. They got their eyes beat out. I left early. I say, New York, Seattle beat the brakes off of them. So they go to San Francisco, Broncos against Cam. Hey, I wanna go to the thing again. 12 person suite. Three people in there.

I got field passes. I got a field pass. I go anywhere. The celebration, I'm on the field. Hey, I'm on the field pregame. I'm walking everywhere. Just wherever I want to go. Like I said, I'm on the field pregame, I'm walking everywhere. Just wherever I wanna go. Like I said, I know he had a very special relationship

with John, but in the 30 plus years that he owned that team, I was number two to number seven, that's for sure. And when I went to the Hall of Fame Ocho, he called me. I was like, hello? He's like, Sharpie. I said, Mr. B, how you get my number? He said, Sharpie, there's not a whole lot that I can't get.

I said, okay, touche, touche. But he said he wanted to congratulate me that he was proud of me. He said, hey, I don't know if y'all know this, touche. But he said he wanted to congratulate me that he was proud of me. He said, hey, I don't know if y'all know this, Ocho. It's expensive to go to the hall. It cost you. It cost to go to the hall. So he said,

you know, he said, Sharpie, call Lisa, his secretary, on Monday. Give her a ballpark idea. Man, please. 35 people, he flew in, put them up. That's what's up, man. The food, the party, the party, all the food, the alcohol, he paid for it.

Now you know you're gonna get the ring. The ring. How many people you wanna bring? I say, Mr. B, you know, I got my kids, I got my mom, I got my sister, I say my high school coach and his wife. I got my Spanish teacher, her husband, who was my junior high principal. Brought them all in.

That's loud, yeah. Saturday night, Mike called me, 84, what you doing? I said, we just sitting around, Mike, we ain't doing nothing. He said, I wanna throw you a party. I said, Mike, you ain't gotta do that. He said, nah. He said, I got everything taken care of.

He said, how many people you got? I said, it's about, I said, Mike, you ain't gotta do that. He said, nah. He said, I got everything taken care of. He said, how many people you got? I say, it's about, I said, Mike, it's about 12, 14 of us. Ocho, Alaskan king crab this long, jumbo prawns this long, steak, lobster. I'm talking about everything. That's why I'm saying, it's so, like, when you got a relationship, I get it.

I call Mike Shanahan right now. I call Kyle and get a job tomorrow. 84, what you wanna do? I say, I wanna loaf until noon, and then I wanna loaf the rest of the day too. Let me ask, what y'all think about Gilly? Camp, we saw R.C.'s response to Cam. We saw Gilly's response to Cam. And we've already, Joe, you weren't here. What's your response? What, I'ma start with you first, Joe. Joe, what's your take on Gilly's response to Kam? I just thought it was too personal of a shot.

Because we can talk trash back and forth. You know, it could be a good sparring session, but I just think when it get personal, bro, I think it kinda draws a line. You know what I mean? Like, so I don't know if he took it personal when Cam says something about him dropping an album and I think it just kind of no holds barred.

He just went, he wasn't berserk after that. Yeah. What you think, Ojo? You got to understand in that culture, you already know what time it is, you know? The ad meets the eye. You say the wrong thing, I'ma say the wrong thing. You say the right thing, I'ma say the right thing.

Respect is earned, it's not given. Therefore, when you take shots, you have to be, you expect the other individual that you- So I'm coming back. Someone's coming back. That's the space that we live in. Cam, he not gonna back down. Gilly, we've known Gilly for a very long time.

What he does, he's not gonna back down. You say something, he gonna say something back. You say something to Cam, he's going to say something back. Ryan, I'm sure probably at some point he's going to respond. I'm assuming so, or maybe not, because I'm assuming Ryan and Cam will probably have to see each other at some point on ESPN, but still, that's just one topic. it won't cause any feud in the work environment other than that listen it's entertainment at the end of the day nothing will probably happen outside of those mics and in that space of podcasting so I think listen it's a good jabbing war it's like it's a

good jabbing war may may the best man win in that situation yeah I agree I agree with both of you guys. I hate when it gets personal. You know, I hate when Cam, you know, Cam was a quarterback. Obviously, his influence is going to be different than any other player on the field, regardless where round was drafted, regardless of how many Pro Bowls. There's not any quarterback that's worth anything is gonna have more value basically than anybody else. Cam was an MVP. Cam wasn't a multiple time Pro Bowl player. Yeah, Cam won the Heisman.

Cam, his accolades speak for themselves. We don't know, we don't need to go off the list. And for me, if Cam had just stuck like, look, this is what I'm saying. It's hard for me to evaluate Jalen Hurts when he has so much talent around. I'm not saying that he's not talented, but it's easier for me to evaluate someone

when they don't have as much talent, when they don't just have to turn around and hand the ball off and have Saquon hit his head on the goal post from 80. Or he has these two receivers that's pro bowl receivers or an offensive line that's as good as that's ever been assembled. Keep Ryan's accolades out of it.

Ryan, keep calm whether he did or did not jump on that football. Okay, we know that. We know Cam didn't jump on the football. And he said it. If he could go back and do anything different in his playing career, that's the one thing that he would have done.

So if we wanna evaluate a player, evaluate the player. Say this is why, this is why. Everybody's not gonna like your opinion. Cause if you try, you can try to appease everybody, Ocho, and the one person that's gonna be very disappointed and upset is you. Because when you try to please everybody,

the only person that's hurting is you, and disappointing is you. Yeah, you can to please everybody, the only person that's hurting is you and disappointed you. You can't please everybody. You can't. Nor should you attempt to. Hell no. Gilly, look, Gilly my guy. I love Gilly. I love Wallo. I talk to them brothers and they good people. They really are. Gilly take things like to the Eagles. And I've been in a very similar situation one time before and it's probably one of the times that I regret something that you know you somebody says something about a team or a player that you like and then you take it personal. You take personal shots at them.

And then you have to realize, okay, that man's entitled to his opinion. That's his opinion. Just because you feel passionate about this as a pro, and he feels passionate about this as a negative, it doesn't make you more right than him. It doesn't make him more right than you. That's his opinion.

I agree with you, Joe. I think when Kev like, well, hey bro, it doesn't make him more right than you. That's his opinion. I agree with you, Joe. I think when, when Kev like, well, hey bro, I can't let you out of your album. I think that's why all the glows went out for Gilly. He like, well bro, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. That's why he said, you not bigger than me in this. And that's when it started to get real personal, you could tell.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, we know it's gonna be some backing forth, man. Jaylin Hurst is a very polarizing figure because it's not like every other year, I mean, think about it, we had Doug Wade, and then we had a big low. So we got 87, and then we had to go all the way to 2012 before we got another.

So we had to go almost three decades before we got another black to win the Super Bowl at the quarterback. And then we got Mahomes, and now we got Jalen Hurts. So it's not like it's just littered. And so now it's like, you know, and I think maybe RC and maybe Gilley feel like, man, they be unfairly criticized.

Cause, excuse me, when Tom won his first U-Bow, they applauded him and he threw for a buck 42. But we tried to find ways, but that's, I mean, when you're an analyst, when you know, your job is to critique and analyze, the only thing I will say about this, and this is what I always, never went to journalism school.

I didn't go to Syracuse, I didn't go to Missouri, I didn't go to any one of these fancy journalism schools. But this is what I do know, never become part of the story. You see now, Cam, Ryan are part of the Jalen Hurts story. This should be about Jalen Hurts. But they've become a part of the story. You stay away from the story. You talk about it.

You critique you analyze, but you don't become a part of it. The critiquing and the analyzation is why they're part of the Jalen Hurts story. No, you can do that. But see now we're not talking about them. We're talking about what Cam and RC going back and forth. Cam and Gilly the Kid going back and forth. We- I mean, they gonna squash that.

That ain't nothing. That's all talk. They gonna squash it. It's not going anywhere outside of the space in which we're doing right now. And that's podcasting. So that's a good thing. Yeah, I agree.

But you see, hey, that podcast doesn't got to be as serious as sports. Absolutely. Everybody got a mic, see that Joe? Everybody got something to say. And everybody like, hey, we the king of this, we the king of that, and we started this, and we started that.

I don't know. I don't know. I don't know who started what, but there's enough for everybody to give a piece of. Yeah. There's enough. Hey, Henry Ford invented, well, he didn't invent the car. He's first American, but there's Mercedes. So you got Mercedes, you got BMW, you got Ferrari,

you got Lamborghini, you got Ford, you got Chevy, you got Tesla. And Tesla only came, Tesla is less than 20 years old. And 10 times the value of damn near every, Tesla can buy all the car dealership every every BMW Mercedes Ferrari Lambo and it's last to the market But I hope you right oh, yeah, yeah, you know it ain't I hope you right

I will take your word for it because cuz you know how we are, Ocho. We don't like to let stuff go. We all like, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. I don't like losing, Ocho. I didn't say they wasn't gonna let it go. I said it's not going anywhere outside of the space of what we actually do. That's that camera.

It's good. If it's going to continue, it's gonna continue here, which is a good thing, you know? For though it's entertaining, it's going to continue, it's going to continue here, which is a good thing, you know? For though it's entertaining, it's fun, it's attracting eyes and viewers to each said individual's podcast or people wanting to hear what's being said, whether it's good or whether it's bad.

And at some point it'll die out because football season is right around the corner. You right about that? Yeah. But you, man, hey, you're something about us, man. We, hey, we polarizing. The thing, Jalen Hurts, Lamar Jackson. Man.

Those conversations around those individuals you just named, it gets very passionate. Yes, yes. It gets very passionate. It gets very passionate. It gets very passionate. So we need to find me somebody that's passionate about me. Like they passionate about Lamar and Jay Hertz.

Nobody thought anybody was going to break it because even when Carmelone got close, Carmelone body fell apart. Kobe started falling apart.

Number 11 was Kobe Bryant. That's tough. I don't know, I got to, I might have to put him in that top 10. I don't know who I got to, I might have to put him in that top 10. I don't know who I'm taking out. You better see that's the thing. Ocho, what we do? We got to pick somebody.

Guys that played against Shaq. Tim Duncan is very underrated. Very underrated. Larry Bird. I mean, what we doing with Will? Will average, what did you mean will average? You want an MVP as a rookie. I think the average is like 40 and 27.

Who gonna get 24 hours rebounds? Man, nobody getting that, man. The numbers he put up was, you might as well just start over. Say you know what? We want somebody to really realistically have a chance of getting rebounds. And so, because you're not going to get it. But even if you did that, ain't nobody going to catch Kareem.

Ain't nobody going to catch, ain't no rebounds. First of all, the guys shoot too well now. They don't miss that many shots. In order for you to get the, Will got the record with 55 rebounds in a game. Nobody's getting 55 rebounds in a game. I can't remember, I can't remember, I don't know if anybody, I can't,

I think the most rebounds I think somebody's gotten that I can remember is probably 34, 35. So just think, you still 15 rebounds short. So you're not gonna get that. The question is, if we put Kobe in the top 10, who we taking out? That's a good question. Because if you look at it, if you look at it,

let's be real, only two guys, only one guy in the top 10 got one regular season MVP, that's Shaq, but he got three post season MVPs. Mike got five, Jordan got four, Kareem's got six, Magic's got three, Russell's got five, Duncan's got three, Duncan's got two MVPs I think, two regular season, Bird got three, Wilt has four, Steph Curry has two. Okay.

Finals MVPs, Jordan has six, LeBron has four, Kareem has two, Magic has three. They didn't have that with Russell. Shaq has three, Duncan has three, Bird has two. They didn't have that. They had, I think Wilt had a chance to get it once. So, and Curry has one finals MVP. It's tougher than you think.

It really is, because it can't just be about scoring. It's got to be about all-star games, finals, finals, MVPs, regular season MVPs, all MBAs. I think all that has to factor in. So what, so let's just say for the sake of argument, we gonna put him in the top 11. Are we kicking Steph out? Are we kicking Will out? We kicking Larry out? We kicking Duncan, Shaq, Russell, Magic? We kicking out Duncan?

I gotta get Bean in there some way somehow. Well, you gotta take somebody out. It's okay if you take LeBron. No, no, no. Jordan, Kareem, Magic. No. We gonna get him in, but we gonna get him in the I just think, I think it's hard. I think it's hard. Yeah.

depth when they didn't give him that praise and adulation when he was alive. They say Kobe is top three. So D Wade, who are you taking out of the top three? You taking Jordan, LeBron or Kareem out? Because you said he's top three. That's what I need to know. Ain't taking neither one of them out. Listen, knowing D Wade, just based off,

he would probably take Kareem out. The man that was the all time leading scorer? Despite exactly what you're getting ready to say, yes. With six MVPs. Yes. With five championships. Yes. The all time leading scorer.

I mean, look, I was very fortunate for the most part. They were very cooperative. I would send my girlfriend down because back then, she would fly to Atlanta, get key. It's a lot harder to play and compete as you age, because man, you have to be so serious about working out, man. That's the point.

It is. For me, Joe, Ocho, I just realized I wasn't gonna be able to do anything else that was gonna change somebody's perception of me. Catching another touchdown, going to another Pro Bowl, being another All-Pro, people have already made their mind up. They had sought me for 14 years. So what could I do to change the perception of what you thought of me or what I was or wasn't?

Nothing. And then plus I wasn't the same anymore. I wasn't the same. I wasn't. Yeah, I could, I could catch, I could catch 60, 70 balls and get you 800 yards, but it wasn't the same. I didn't have, I couldn't, I couldn't dominate. My yards didn't mean the same.

It used to be, if I got a hundred yards, we won the game. Won automatic. Cause I had that kind of impact, that kind of influence on the game. Didn't, didn't, didn't. Man, I, look, and then, you know, I still ain't gonna lie to you. I still enjoy training. I still, I love, and then, you know. I still ain't gonna lie to you, I still enjoy training.

I still enjoy getting up shots by myself. It's all therapeutic for me. Like I still enjoy that fact, that part of it. So even if I wasn't able to compete at a high level, I would still for sure be playing the game. Like I would still be out there shooting or getting out. So it was just part of who I am at this point. Yep.
