Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey guys, it's us The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe. I'm Kevin. And I'm Nick. And guess what? We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas. We invented a podcast?
Starting point is 00:00:09 Well, we didn't invent it. We just contributed to it. We're the first people to do podcasts. We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions. Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it. But, you know, tired and sick. Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Just listen.
Starting point is 00:00:27 We don't care where you hear it. Another podcast from. some SNL late-night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and Friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman helped make you funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel, help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Starting point is 00:00:48 Where does your group perform? We do some retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and Friends on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, it's Edwin Castro, also known as Castro 1021. And I'm Kunky, his best friend and business manager. And we've got a new show called The 1021 podcast.
Starting point is 00:01:10 I'm taking you behind the scenes on how I became one of Twitch's most popular streamers. We also love sports. And with the World Cup right around the corner, we'll be breaking down the biggest storylines ahead of the big tournament here in the USA. Listen to the 1021 podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple, podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. And on my new podcast, Hope from a Hypocrite, I'll be changing lives, helping people in need with thoughtful solutions.
Starting point is 00:01:43 Sike, I'm a comedian. I'm not qualified to give good advice. Join me and my comedian friends as we riff, rant, recommend some of the most legally dubious advice known to me. This is Help from a Hypocrite, the worst advice from the dumbest people you know. Listen to Help from a Hypocrite Wednesdays on the Iheart radio app. Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Will Ferrell's Big Money Players and IHeart Podcasts presents soccer moms.
Starting point is 00:02:10 So I'm Leanne. Yeah. This is my best friend, Janet. Hey. And we have been joined at the hips since high school. Absolutely. A redacted amount of years later, we're still joined at the hip. Just a little bit bigger hips.
Starting point is 00:02:20 This is a podcast. We're recording it as we tailgate our youth soccer games in the back of my Honda Odyssey. With all the snacks and drinks. Why did you get hard seltzer instead of beer? Oh, they had a bogo. Well, then you got it. Listen to Soccer Moms on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:02:38 Orlando survived the scare Ocho against kickbox to Rico. Brohoven to score a controversial 11th round TKO and event would have been a monumental upset in front of the pyramids of Egypt, of Giza. With the fight being even on two of the three judges' scorecard, and then since Usset dropped Berheaven in the final seconds of the 11th round, with a right uppercut.
Starting point is 00:03:06 He managed to get back to his feet, but was on shaky legs with 10 seconds left, but was battered by a barrage of violent punches by Usik rather than allow to continue into the final round, referee marked license, called the fight off seemingly after the bell sounded, earning Usik,
Starting point is 00:03:24 the stoppage win at 259 of the 11th. Two judges had to fight 95-95-95, while the other judge had to fight 96-99, M. Ocho? Yeah. What'd you think? At times like this, I know, I know fighters.
Starting point is 00:03:41 You know the mentality that they have, whether it's MMA, whether it's boxing, well, hell, whether it's combat sports in general. Yeah. Most of the time you want to go out on your shield. Absolutely. You want to go out on your shield, Joe. But in this case, sometimes a referee, or sometime you got damn corner,
Starting point is 00:03:58 need to save a fighter from himself and getting unnecessary damage. I watched the clips. Obviously, I wasn't able to watch the fight. because I was playing basketball today, but based on what I saw where he wasn't able to protect himself after going down, you get back to your feet and you have a brazen of punches
Starting point is 00:04:14 and you getting hit with almost everything, somebody got to protect you from yourself. I understand that. And people that are saying, well, obviously it was a good opponent for Usik. He gave him somewhat of a challenge. But in them deep borders and them championship rounds,
Starting point is 00:04:29 if you're not able to protect yourself and fight back, you got you got you got you got you got a step in there you got to step in there take your time bro hey take your time i mean he got up quick you know something hey get yourself together yeah don't rush back in there tie him up yeah but you know when you get tired oh joe that sounds good to you and i because we're not tired tie up time up but when you tired hey hey that fatigue makes a coward of us all yes in that ring joe i can only I only imagine, boy.
Starting point is 00:05:04 Joe, I went down because I couldn't hold my arms up no more, Joe. I couldn't. My mind is telling me what to do. Yeah. See the punch winding up from a mile away. Joe, I can't even move. I can't move. Damn.
Starting point is 00:05:23 That's a bad feeling. Hey, look, that boxing and MMA fighting and all that, they ain't nothing to be playing with, bro. Hell no. Like you thinking, you thinking, oh, man, I'm going to jump in here because I'm this hell of an athlete. Man, please. There's not one NFL player right now. Ask Greg Hardy.
Starting point is 00:05:42 Oh, yeah, yeah. Hey, Joe. Ask him. Yeah. Isn't that one NFL? I don't know. Hold on. He played for the Panthers, didn't he?
Starting point is 00:05:48 Yeah. He was a real deal, boy. He came, I think he came to the Cowboys for a minute. He came to the Cowboys, too. Yeah. Yeah. What happened to Greg Harding? He got to try the MMA.
Starting point is 00:05:58 He didn't try it at all. Yeah, he didn't had a few. every mate fight and boxing. They got out on him. He got it. First of all, he got asthma. The last thing you need to do is something that's going to have the asthma flare up.
Starting point is 00:06:12 Man, look here. And he started off good, though, when he first started off. Yeah, he started off good. You know, they gave him a tomato can, had him feeling good. They put him in some real competition. He got his ass, toe slam up. Yeah, I seen him fighting.
Starting point is 00:06:30 No, I've seen me fight in Vegas. What you call him? Johnny Morton did the MMA. Oh, hey, Johnny he got as big as hell. Remember how big Johnny he got? Yeah. Johnny was slow, boy. Westbrook.
Starting point is 00:06:44 Oh, yeah. A, Mike could fight, though, huh? Hell yeah. A Mike could fight. Hey, hold on. Didn't I see Herschel Walker or something in some? Yeah. What happened, man?
Starting point is 00:06:56 He won that dude. Man, don't get me started talking about that too. Man, no, but Westbrook, man, that big cut up dude, man. What? Joe, you're talking about cut up? Yeah. Like six-fold, like 220. Eight.
Starting point is 00:07:16 I'm talking about ain't an ounce of fat on him. Yeah. It was funny, boy. What are he doing in the ring? Oh, his knees were bad. But, no, he won. Oh, did he make quick, he made quick work. No, hey, you know, Westbrook played with me in Cincinnati one year,
Starting point is 00:07:34 I don't know. But did it? Yeah, I don't remember what year it was, but he was in. Okay. He got drafted, he got drafted like a top five pick to Washington. With the redskins, yeah. Yeah. Oh, I'm sorry, my bad, my bad.
Starting point is 00:07:45 No, you're good. He just couldn't, he couldn't stay healthy. Hmm. Man, Westbrook, you remember that fight? Westbrook got in Washington. When he hit dude in the stretch line? Yeah, I remember that. I remember the sideline and practice.
Starting point is 00:08:00 Say, call me that again. Wop, walk, walk, walk, walk. I remember that. Brooke like that, man, I'm telling you. You see, y'all be, people don't understand. Y'all call people out of their name and because they might have an alternative lifestyle. You got to realize that's still a man.
Starting point is 00:08:21 Yeah. Okay, y'all let the bag got the way he, oh, you can, oh, he's, okay. Not how that look. Yeah. Sassy, dude, lump your ass up. Hey, you know who I seen tonight, too? Who? From Tennessee, must be.
Starting point is 00:08:37 Albert Hainsburg was here. I seen Albert. Oh, okay. Yeah, big boy. Hey, he's like to see a plate. He's not lost all the weight, though. Yeah. I think he had an illness or something.
Starting point is 00:08:48 He was. Yeah, yeah. I seen old Albert tonight, man. That was dope. I interviewed with Tennessee. Oh, Al. Hey, he was the first $100 million dollar D tackle, huh? No?
Starting point is 00:09:00 He might have been the first $100 million defensive player, period. Period, yeah. Yeah. Mm. All right, it's time for our final segment of evening is to have a Q and A. Nah, let's keep going.
Starting point is 00:09:18 I'm got you and A. Huh? And add one more signal. Mm-mm. Hey, Joe, my flight at 5 o'clock, I'm trying to kill as much time as possible. So I can, we can finish, and I go straight to that.
Starting point is 00:09:30 You're on what you call them? You're on Central Time. It's 1241, huh? Oh, Tennessee is on what you call them? I thought Tennessee would be on what you call them Central Time. The flight to get here was the hour and 30 minutes from Miami. Oh, okay. I'm going from here to Charlotte.
Starting point is 00:09:46 What's it Charlotte? Oh, you're going for that soccer thing? Yeah, the TST tournament, yeah. Okay. Broad would be the perfect fit on the Knicks, especially if they got Janus. God dang, bro. You ain't got enough. Hey, man, we ain't playing NBA 2K.
Starting point is 00:10:00 They say the Knicks. Yeah, LeBron and Yonge. Come on, man. Damn. The Knicks are winning the title. Get over it. My condolences to Lafraud James and the fakeers, but less the best, better luck next lifetime.
Starting point is 00:10:18 Nix and four. Okay. East Coast, Kev. They got a good chance, though. They got a good chance. I ain't, I ain't saying they're going to win it. I think they got a better chance if they play the Spurs. They're not beating O KC.
Starting point is 00:10:32 Yeah, Mark. Hold on. You think they got a better chance that they play the Spurs? Yeah. I don't know. Yes. You think they got a better chance to beat the Thunder? No, I think it's going to be hard to beat any one of them.
Starting point is 00:10:47 I do. But I'm saying I think they got a better chance. I ain't say nothing about winning. Yeah. Okay. I just, a damn whimby. Why are we surprised the calves don't have any perimeter defenders? We're not.
Starting point is 00:11:08 We really not. because they hadn't had any all year. But they've been able to get by. And the problem is that once you get to the playoffs, whatever your weakness, it gets exposed to the upteenth degree. Yep. So if you go back and look at the teams that have lost, you can go back and says, okay, this is why they lost.
Starting point is 00:11:26 This was an issue in the regular season, but they were able to overcome it. Teams don't let you overcome your flaws in the postseason. Nah, the playoffs is built to expose you. Whatever your weaknesses are, we're going to expose them damn weaknesses. And y'all can't guard, guess what? We're coming at you every player.
Starting point is 00:11:47 Bing-Bong, Brunson, best guard in the East. Yeah, he's the only one left. Hands down. Right now, he's the best guard in the East for sure. Hey, Detroit, couldn't get it done. Felt like they were a better matchup for New York. And if Hardin can't win with Mitchell, who can he win with? At this point, is it really worth $40 million a year?
Starting point is 00:12:10 Sad game. Well, I mean, what a lot? He's going to get it somewhere, huh, Joe? Yeah, I don't see. With Cleveland giving up there is Garland. You can't give up James Harden. You can't let him walk. You got to retin him.
Starting point is 00:12:24 Yeah, you got to bring him back. Because if that's the case, then you let Garland go for nothing. Right. You're right. I don't know because he had Chris Paul. And when Chris Paul hurt his hamstring against OKC, excuse me, against the Warriors. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:42 Yeah. Yeah. I mean, he had Russ. He had Dwight Howard. I just, it just, it gets harder. Excuse me. It gets harder as you get older to win a championship. And man, listen.
Starting point is 00:12:55 It just does. And all the great. Joe, he needs the ball. Yeah. Yeah. And I think what we have to understand from a fan's perspective, bro, all the great ones, they're not going to win a title, bro. That's just part of, no.
Starting point is 00:13:09 No. Everybody ain't going to win no damn championship. And they shouldn't. Because if every great player won a championship, what's the value in a championship? Yeah. You know, sometimes the ugly dude got to get the pretty girl too. Damn, somebody, somebody gotta get taken to the dance.
Starting point is 00:13:37 Damn, y'all, y'all just want, y'all just want all the great players. All the, all the, all the, somebody got to take the ugly person to the dance. Right, right. It is what it is. Ocho needs to write a commissutra book For all the advice he gives out He's right about one thing
Starting point is 00:13:55 Looks like the Knicks are going to win it That La Porteer is five, try some And still Appreciate that field to make nasty Yeah Yeah Man Ocho out there giving false information Got people like they're getting
Starting point is 00:14:08 Getting popped And he ain't did none of that Hold on, hold on When I gave false information Man you ought to talk about Joe That's a strap Got this strap do a man, Ocho, I got that
Starting point is 00:14:20 I got peg myself. Yeah. Oh, hey, listen, all I were trying to do were raise the quality of the relationship that y'all are in. I didn't say I did it. I would just give me advice on what you should try. Well, no, how are you going to get some advice on something? You don't do your
Starting point is 00:14:36 damn self. Well, the hell, how to hell therapists give advice and they ain't in a goddamn relationship? It's the same shit. They ain't going through it. So if they qualified, I'm qualified. to spice up what you got going on. No, no, I'm good.
Starting point is 00:14:51 You should, first of all, you should be a life coach. A life coach is somebody that doesn't necessarily have to be trained. Right. Oh, I don't have to be clinically trained. They don't have to be a school trained. They just based on life lessons or things that they've experienced and they can tell you so forth and so on.
Starting point is 00:15:10 But as a psychology, you need to be trained to be given out some information. Hey, I mean, I'm trained in that area, just not, not, not that specific thing. Bad looking. Don't be because don't be listening to Ocho, y'all. Yeah, I know.
Starting point is 00:15:30 Hey, but do you just try it? I love to show that CapCrew. There's a YouTuber. I love to see you collab with. His name is, uh, what is it? What is it? Chisle, Adonis, don't do very funny. Huh?
Starting point is 00:15:47 Yeah, I've never heard him, bro. But I'm going to take your word. for it. I recall 35-year-old ISO who froze time. A Tatt dropped the mean demonstration at the buzzer versus UT. So height, he had to reload the scunnion, Pine Blub
Starting point is 00:16:02 Arkansas. He said, he's saying what? He said, he remember what? He said, you dropped, you turned back, you froze the hands of time and tack dropped the mean demonstration at the buzzer on Utah. Oh, when I was in Utah, when I was playing in Utah, when we played against the clipples, I think I were 35
Starting point is 00:16:18 then. Yeah, I was about 35. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, we broke up Live City, man. We broke all that up, man. Me, me. About the clippers? Yeah, me, a couple of my home boys down there, Utah, a couple Mormons, yeah, we broke it up.
Starting point is 00:16:31 What about DeAndre Aid and Blake Griffin, them boys? You mean, uh, DeAndre George. DeAndre C.P. Y'all beat them Joe? Yeah, yeah, yeah. We got them out. Jamal Crawf was on that team. We got them boys up out of there.
Starting point is 00:16:47 Hey, they got damn Jamal Crawford. ball, boy, that thing be on a yo-yo, boy. He's nice. He's sick with it, Ocho. Big Mike's in Cleveland. This L is for you. Hey, that's a good one. Hey, what's up? Can I get a special shout out to my amazing, my amazing wife, Mariah.
Starting point is 00:17:12 We celebrate two years, married tomorrow, also start bench cut. German Shepherd, Rod Waller, Connie Corso. Mariah, happy to your wedding anniversary. Congratulations on making the two years, two years on a lifetime to go. Congratulations, guys. All right, Joe, start bench cut, German Shepherd, Rockwalla, Connie Corso. I would assume the Shepherd is first, right? No, I'm starting to, I'm starting Connie Corso in the Rockwalla.
Starting point is 00:17:39 I'm the German Shepherd. He, yeah. He gets benched. Yeah, y'all's tripping. No, he getting cut. Yeah, he getting cut. Them joke is smart. Yeah, they are smart.
Starting point is 00:17:50 Which is why I was hoping y'all We're going to pick the German Shepherd first. I like the mastiff breed, bro. I like, I like Corsosos, pressers, the Bull Bulls. I like Masters. Right. Well, I'm based on, based on. Bullies.
Starting point is 00:18:07 Yeah. You like bullies on? Yeah, I like bullies. No, no, no, no, not no pit bull. Bull, mastiffs. Oh, Bull, master's. Okay, okay, okay, okay. No, I don't do the pit bulls.
Starting point is 00:18:17 I don't do no red nose, blue, no, no. Yeah, okay. I got you. Maybe I get some, maybe I get some, if I get me a farm, I'm trying to think. Ah,
Starting point is 00:18:28 you say you would get some ghosts. I got to have something, protect the ghosts. Ain't nobody, ain't nobody. Ain't nobody. Now, get you another.
Starting point is 00:18:36 These foxes. Mountain lines, yeah. Okay. Get you another bobble, bro. That you'd be good. Titus could probably take care of by itself here. Man, I,
Starting point is 00:18:48 uh, I grew up, uh, my grandfather had, Well, he had just got rid of, but my uncles, James and Thurman had hunting dogs, had blue tics, black and tans, and redbone. That's what the term came from when they're describing women.
Starting point is 00:19:05 It came from a dog. Redbone. Real? Yeah. It absolutely does. Aiding hudding dogs like that, they be smaller, huh? They're not. Yeah, they got to be had because they got to run.
Starting point is 00:19:17 They got to go great distance. Yeah, okay, okay, okay. What you're you talking about, like, them pointers? Well, porners are like, they're bird dogs. Bird dog. Like a red bone, blue tick, black and tan, bloodhounds. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Tree and Walker, those are dogs that he used to hunt, like, coon and things like that.
Starting point is 00:19:35 Yeah. You put them on their scent and that blue tick. That blue tick has that distinctive. I mean, when he sit down on something, yeah. When you hear him, go on and put your clothes on and get your gun, he got it. When that joke was sit down? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:51 You know it. He don't be messing around because when he sit down on something, he got it. Yeah. He absolutely got it. Who has more? Uncartee T-shirts or Ocho soccer shirts?
Starting point is 00:20:06 Oh, yeah. Hey, I got a collection, Joe. If there's anything I collect, it's them goddamn kits, boy, them tops, boy. Yeah. I got about over 1,900 shirts, boy. I ain't got that many. You got a thing, I've been collecting a certain in the shirts now, you know, shoot, damn they're all my life, man.
Starting point is 00:20:27 Yeah. I try to get, like, vintage stuff, Joe, like, you know, from the 80s. Where you be getting from? You go, like, thrift shopping and all that. The Venice collectors. Yeah. And they be, they be taxing me some time, too, Joe. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:43 Yeah, man. That's how it was when you were, oh, Joe, remember the throwback craze was happy? Hey, Joe. Yeah, yeah, yeah, with the jerseys. Yeah, man. I got so many baseball and basketball and football throwbacks. Tell you, I'm sick, bro. I'm sick when we talk about that.
Starting point is 00:20:59 Somebody stole all my eyes. I had a big duffel bag. I'm talking about a big, big, it took, like, it took two people to carry this big duffel bag I had, full of jerseys, bro. They took it out your car? Nah, man, my house got broken, too, in Phoenix, and they took all my jersey, bro. Damn.
Starting point is 00:21:19 Now, we're going to find out who that is, Joe, because they got to be somebody you know, Joe. Man, that's so long ago that Joe, you think about that age no boom. Man, I've been 20 years ago. It's been more than that. Yeah, when people, Uncle Joe, when people are breaking people's houses,
Starting point is 00:21:32 especially athletes, man, there's somebody got to know somebody. Yeah. I don't even know how to get in. American gangs, man. They just terrorizing. They terrorizing. Oh, Joe, if you know an athlete live there,
Starting point is 00:21:45 you know when he plays? Yeah. Where is he going to be Sunday at 1 o'clock? Yeah, right on the field Basketball players Where are they gonna be at night? Yep, at the game So you know
Starting point is 00:21:58 And it's so funny They breaking the houses Uncle Joe We're in 2026 Technology is so advanced There's cameras everywhere Yeah, everything They're recording
Starting point is 00:22:09 They still For everything they make To protect you There's always something to counter it To be able to get in It ain't It ain't like guess what, Joe?
Starting point is 00:22:22 I got three to four minutes, five minutes before the police get here. Yeah. Yeah. All I'm trying is grab stuff that's accessible. I ain't going through a whole lot. Hey, everybody, most people still got this stuff in the bedroom. I'm throwing out your drawers. I'm looking to flipping your bed, looking up under your mattresses.
Starting point is 00:22:41 Hey, look, you're talking about feeling violated, bro. This was, look, this was a day before Thanksgiving. My mama was in town. I'd never forget this. I remember like it was yesterday. So me and the homies, me and the homies, we're gonna hit the spot after the game. We're gonna hit the little spot.
Starting point is 00:22:56 So I'm dropping my mom off at home because she's gonna start preparing Thanksgiving. We didn't even go in the house. I just dropped off. She went in the house. She called me and she was going crazy. I'm like, damn, what going on? I turned right around.
Starting point is 00:23:07 Man, they hit the ramshack my whole career, bro. I'm telling my turnt over beds. I'm talking about drawers all on. I'm talking about stuff all in the house. It was bad, Joe. She wasn't home though, huh? No, she wasn't home, but she just just walked in and seen all that.
Starting point is 00:23:23 Right, right, right. Yeah. Joe, they got me. They got me in 2023, Joe. Where? In L.A. Damn. Took all my watches.
Starting point is 00:23:34 That shit violated. Man, Joe. Man, you know, I had been, some of these watches I had had since I was 35 years. Damn, bro. The first Rolex, I mean, some of the stuff that, you know, if they don't, you know,
Starting point is 00:23:48 they don't make it anymore. That shit hurt, bro. Man, it hurt so. bad, Joe. It hurts so, so, so bad. Hey, hey, look, I had, uh, at the time, I used to hang out with Stefan Marbury pretty tough. So we had just come from New York. And I'd never forget this, bro. It was me, Stefan Marbury and Barboza, Landra Barboza. Okay. Steph used to take, Steph used to take, he took Barbosa on this wing. He was like, man, we're going to go see Jacob. I'm like, shit, I'm going with y'all. So we go, we go see Jacob to Jula.
Starting point is 00:24:20 I ain't never, I had never bought myself a watch. I wasn't. even a watch guy at the time. Man, I got in there, bought me a nice Jacob. Man, they took my... Your five times on, you got your five times on, Joe? Oh, that thing was so clean, bro. Ocho, they stole my Jacob watching everything, bro.
Starting point is 00:24:36 Oh, man, they got me, bro. They got me, Joe. And that stopped me now. I don't even keep no money in my house. Because I know, because here's the thing, this is how I know it was an inside job, because I had I had quarter of a meal and cash and nothing.
Starting point is 00:24:51 Ain't touch it. Damn, oh. They ain't finding, huh? Joe, what you mean? Find it? All you do is go pull the draw open. Damn. I said no more.
Starting point is 00:25:02 I said, you know what? That taught me. Hey, you break it here, you're gonna get $25. You're gonna get $25? No, it could be. Joe, if it was an, oh, Joe, if it was an inside job, you mean to tell me? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:16 The money right there. Joe, all they, check this out. They went through four draws. dump the clothes out. If you go pull the fifth draw, open it up, there was a box in there. All you had to do was open the box
Starting point is 00:25:30 and there it was right there. Damn. They were rushing. Think about it. It's five drawers. They go through four of them. The fifth draw, if you pull it out,
Starting point is 00:25:40 open that box, boom. Hey, you know what's crazy? I'd be seeing that a lot in L.A., bro. In California. Yes. Because there's so many, there's so many stars. out there and it's like no i don't i don't put no i don't put no i don't keep no money in my house now
Starting point is 00:25:56 like i said first of all i ain't gone no length of time i leave titus out you're gonna probably you and probably have to kill him because if you come in here and i ain't here that's your ass they don't want and real talk but burglars don't want to deal with no dogs because no you know they mean you're gonna have to file for a couple shots already and they're going to have to get yourself away yeah yeah so and the thing is i mean i have i have to be careful when people just, man, I'm gonna scratched up all the tent on my on my glass, my front glass.
Starting point is 00:26:28 Man, look here. And I joke about, he almost knocked himself out. Somebody came in the thing and he hit that door. I say, bro, what are you doing? Yeah. That was it. I said, you know what? Because, you know, I used to like,
Starting point is 00:26:43 you know, my sister come to time, my mom come to town, I get him some money and be done with it. Yeah. I said, never I said never again. That, that hurt me, man. That hurt me. That hurt me to my heart. All right. You know, they got,
Starting point is 00:26:59 Joe, Joe Burrow, they got Joe Burrow, they got Patrick Mahomes, they got Kelsey, but they got Joe stuff, they got Joe stuff back. Yeah. Now,
Starting point is 00:27:08 I did see that on the news. Yeah. South American game you was talking about. Yeah, that's what, they're going, right,
Starting point is 00:27:14 they're going, they're going crazy. That's one of the main reasons that I left. Hold on. They got a little shit. That's one of the main reason. They got a little shit doing,
Starting point is 00:27:21 too, didn't it? Yeah. Oh, yeah. No, no, they weren't the South America. They were somebody from Atlanta. Joe way there. Wow. And somebody dimmed them out.
Starting point is 00:27:34 Damn. But it hurt. You know, I called the police and everything. You know, they look. And it was like, you think it was an inside job? I was like, and then I walked them in there. I said, look, I said, they came in my bedroom. I mean, they came in the closet.
Starting point is 00:27:53 Yeah. And I put, I said, look, look at this. and then I pulled out the bottom drawer. He said, nah. He said, they came. They got what they, that was right there visible. And then they left.
Starting point is 00:28:07 It's A, A, A. I had a Christopher backpack on the thing that I used to take to work every day. I had all my cuff links in there. And the thing was, I had my notepad that I write all my notes in. I had my Mont Blanc pen. They took the, they took the, uh, the note pad out.
Starting point is 00:28:24 Damn. But the backpack, all my cuff links were in there. And it's hard to sleep too, boy, after that. Man, Joe. It was just, it's just a violation. Yeah. It's just a violation. Because I remember when I first got to,
Starting point is 00:28:42 when I first got to LA, I used to walk the dogs around the block and leave the door unlocked. Yeah. Didn't they think I would run the target, run the whole foods? Yeah. Make you feel like.
Starting point is 00:28:56 And the dog, I left Titus, at the time, Titus was in his room and his penis. The little dogs, normally people, they didn't take the little dogs. That was what I was like, that would really hurt me. Yeah. If they had to talk the dogs, that would have really been hurt. I was heard about the, about the watches, but I was like, you know what, that's replaceable. I wouldn't have been able to replace a baby and a teddy bear.
Starting point is 00:29:19 Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. They probably would have bought fat teddy back. FBA eight dads out of house and home. But, no, but I'm done with that. I don't, I don't, hey. After that, I don't keep no money in the house. Can't trust, I mean, you can't trust nobody, Ocho. Yeah, you're right.
Starting point is 00:29:39 You're right by that. And that's one of the things I don't, I don't, and I've never invited people over to my house. I didn't even let my kids bring their friends over. Yeah. I don't have people over to my house like that. The only people that's been to my house is Jordan Nash. Man. And my, am I, am I, and my, and my, and my, and my, and my, my sister.
Starting point is 00:29:59 That's it. Nobody else. I've been in two years. My sister, Jordan, Ash, that's it. Man, no. When I was in Atlanta, my kids can brain free. No, no.
Starting point is 00:30:15 Mm-mm. I don't have people over to the house like that. Man, you have a get to, no, we go to a restaurant and have a get together, but I ain't having nobody at my house. Yeah. Live and learn, guys, you live and learn. Yes, live and learn.
Starting point is 00:30:33 Ocho, after you, after Iso, go play Wimby. You got it. What? It says, Ocho after Iso go play Wimby, you got it. They say, Wimby gonna tie you out for Ocho. What do you mean? They said, that's how Ocho gonna win.
Starting point is 00:30:52 He said, you got to go play Wimby first. Nah, I'm good. Oh, you want Joe Fresh? Yeah, I didn't got acclimated to what it's like. Now, I'm good. Hey, listen, I'm built. I'm built for the BS now. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:31:07 Yeah, like, you know, we can have a nice finesse game, but if it turned into, you know, some physicality and, you know, you're ready for that, too, huh Joe? I'm built for that. I'm built for that. But I finesse the hell out of you now. You got to understand. You know, I come from a game where it's built on physicality.
Starting point is 00:31:27 So, I mean, I'm hoping. You know what, Ash, do got a new truck. Why didn't you all talking? You got a new truck. I'm just saying. Ash, what you got a couple of years to get a new truck. What kind of truck she got? A Tahoe.
Starting point is 00:31:42 Yeah. Tahoe high country. Oh, yeah. Tell, some 4Gados on that thing. You said she got it. Yeah, put some 4Gs on that thing. Some 20. No.
Starting point is 00:31:57 No, but, no, you just, and, and the, the thing was, the guy, the police like, the detective came like, do you, I was like, I was like, yeah, he's like, he said, don't, don't keep that kind of money in the house. Yeah. He said, everything else is insured. He said, but cash is not insured. He said, because I was okay, I'm going to take your word for it.
Starting point is 00:32:23 I take your word for you. You got to tell me into the bank and weird. And then what you call about financial people like, you had that kind of money. You should, man, shut up. You got enough of my money. Right, right. Hello. Hello.
Starting point is 00:32:37 Hello. Hello. Hello. Hello. Right. Hello. I knew exactly what you told. Oh, it might have been Jordan. It might have been Jordan asked together. Actually was. Actually was Jordan.
Starting point is 00:32:50 No, actually, actually was Jordan, Jordan was. We had just gone out to eat. But, nah. Like I said, it's two years and I still think about it. I was like, damn. You work so hard. I think the thing is Joe, you know what it is Joe? Because I wasn't making a whole lot of money. And so it took me like three to four years.
Starting point is 00:33:12 I see a Rolex that I wanted. And I was like, you know, I got to save up three to four years. Okay, a car signing here and a parent's there, X, Y, and Z. So I would save up and get it. Yeah. I never just like, oh, I saw this Rolex and just go buy it. Right. Or this, you know, brightling or whatever the case may be.
Starting point is 00:33:29 I, you know. And so that's what hurt the most. Now it doesn't have the same meaning because I can just go get it. Yeah. When you sacrifice and you save up, you got anybody that's ever had to save up and go get something, you know you valued a little bit more. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:48 Cal's defeat, Sesame Street, eight, or, lay me, Ocho, pay for feet, ISO, weak, OKC, repeat. ISO, you're not weak, but I'm trying to rhyme. You're the truth. Thank you, fellow, for the team for hard, endless, or work and dedication. More importantly, in my opinion, y'all simply the best.
Starting point is 00:34:08 If ain't no nightcap, it's a phony. Amazon anyways, both are in as well. Woo pig. There you go. Be called. Ah, oh. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey.
Starting point is 00:34:23 Y'all that ain't calling for now. We're having a good night. Oh, it's your ISO. Where do you actually watch these playoff games? Is it at the sports bar, friends home, or in your own home? Just curious. Yeah, I'll be sitting right. right here on my damn couch.
Starting point is 00:34:38 Yeah. Yeah. I sit right here. I can't watch it. Bro, how do you expect? I can watch a game of the sports bar at Ocho. I always watch the first half of each basketball game when I'm in Miami. I always watch the first half of the game in the cigar bar.
Starting point is 00:34:52 I leave at halftime. I'm right down the street. I'm home for the second half. Nah, I'll be sitting my ass right here. That's me, Joe. Yeah. Because I ain't watching it. Ocho.
Starting point is 00:35:09 Yeah. Joe, Chad. If I watch the game. If I watch the game with no sound, do you actually think I could watch the game in a sports bar? Yeah, too much going. People are bothering you. Yes.
Starting point is 00:35:21 It's all the noise. How can I concentrate? Yeah. I'm really trying to concentrate. I'm trying to see why this is working, why it isn't working, what's really going on. No, I can't.
Starting point is 00:35:34 I can't. And I tell people this, and I know it's hard for people to believe, I'm the most outgoing introvert you're ever going to be. And people, they tell me all the time, you ain't nothing like with you on TV. I'm not.
Starting point is 00:35:51 My girlfriend's friends is like, ooh, I bet he's so much fun because he's so funny. He's like, you think he like that when he's not on TV? He ain't nothing like that. That joke are quiet. He just be sitting there with no sound. And I do? Damn.
Starting point is 00:36:08 I can't watch TV with the sound, Joe. You can't. Not no sporting event, no. I can't. I gotta hear the sound. I low-key got to feel like I'm in the damn building, okay? I ain't gonna lie too. That's why I watch it by myself, man,
Starting point is 00:36:22 let me ought to come over and watch. No, you ain't coming. I used to let guys come over and watch the game. I need to know who you cheering for. Yeah. Who you for? Cause you ain't going for the team, I'm going for, you're not coming.
Starting point is 00:36:34 Yo, oh, you're not coming. Man, come on, who you for, okay? Yeah. You ain't fit to be in my house rooting against my team. What the hell? Yeah, hey, hey, that's why when my damn cowboys play, I sit here and watch it by my damn self. So if I'm, hey, hey, so if I'm in misery,
Starting point is 00:36:53 I can sit here in misery by my damn self. But it ain't going to be a bunch of y'all over here rooting against my cowboys, and we lose. Exactly. Yeah, no. That's why, I'll get the root for the Cowboys. Y'all be losing half the time, but that's why you'd be saying.
Starting point is 00:37:14 That's why she started coming. The game coming on. Now she's coming like five minutes left in the fourth quarter. Nah, hell no. You ain't been to be rooting against my team. It's been downhill for hard ever since that D-Wade debate.
Starting point is 00:37:34 I don't think that had anything to do with it. Well, I mean, comparing the two. It's just different. Two different players, though. Yeah. Well, their games are not even, Joe. There ain't nothing about their games. game that are comparable, that are similar, that you look at like, okay, I can see a little
Starting point is 00:37:50 D. Wade, okay, and D. Wade, I can see a little James Hart. Ain't nothing. Nah. Yeah, y'all do know, D. Wade is probably top two defenders in shot blocking from the two guard spot. I think, hell, hell, the only person probably in front of him is probably Jordan. Hell, I think he caught Jordan as far as blocked shots. Did it? From the two guard spot so he might be the best shot blocking two guard to ever play the damn game. Yeah. Man, before, look, I think people are just looking at DeWay's last couple of years
Starting point is 00:38:28 when his knees were bad. People don't realize Dway's like from when he came into the league until like 2012 through like the first 10 years. Yeah. It brought hell on wheels, wasn't he man. And so, you know, sometimes that's what happens, Joe, is that when you, you get old, people don't remember how great you were when you were younger
Starting point is 00:38:55 and you were fresher and you were healthier. Yeah. They just look at the last couple of years and they think that's what you are. They look at him in Chicago. They look at him in Cleveland. And they say, no, no, no, no. I don't look at that.
Starting point is 00:39:08 I don't. No. I don't. Cal should just blow it up. Biggs or Saul. Dean Wade out there for cardio. can't make free throws and bad coaching plus turnovers. Nah, not blow it up.
Starting point is 00:39:26 They're in the Eastern Conference finals. You got to find some way to tweak that roster, bro, that's comparable to helping Donovan Mitchell. I don't know what the hell you got to do, but you got to do something. Well, you kind of stuck with Mitchell and Hardin. Yeah. You got to get a three.
Starting point is 00:39:48 I'm not so sure you're going to be able to get off Mobley, so you might be able to trade Jared Allen. I'm sure somebody like a big. He can roll, he can rebound, he can block shots. Somebody take him up up your hand, and he's not making a ton of money. Man, you're going to, yeah, you're going to have to figure something out. I think you got to go find you a nice small four.
Starting point is 00:40:08 I know they ain't just, I wonder why they gave up DeAndre Hunter. Hell, I thought he would be a great pickup. He used to play here for the Hawks, but he was a three-in-de-cats. They traded him. Yeah, I know they traded him like Sacramento or something. Yeah. I don't know why they did that. Shannon, you always say you update your resume.
Starting point is 00:40:29 Are you sure hard to still a top 75 player? Well, look, you can't get boded. You can't get bumped out of that. It's like if you're an all decade player, you're an all decade player. Once you get those pro bowls on your resume, you are that player. But yes, you have to update.
Starting point is 00:40:47 You could be a seven time or five time or whatever many time pro bowl Ocho, but that doesn't mean that just because you were one that you are one. Right. Currently. And so, you know, he still can have those moments, but it's just harder as we start to age.
Starting point is 00:41:07 It's just harder to have those moments back to back to back to back to back. Like I said, you remember Hardin. Hardin had, what, 30 plus games in a row, Joe, with 30 plus points. Woo. Cook it. Boiling nasty, man. Sprinkle some 40s and 50s up in there. But, hey, hey, but that's what I'm talking about.
Starting point is 00:41:25 That's one. Couldn't nobody stay in front of him. I'm talking about nobody. But that was also a 27, 28 year old Joe. Yeah. There's a lot of miles on that. There's a lot of miles on those tires. Yeah, you're right. And that boy hit that step back, Joe,
Starting point is 00:41:44 and create all that separation. He got a nice handle, Ojo. And when he used to get a step on you and get by you, he was poking that thing. He was dunking at that thing. Boom. Hey, so, Ocho, look, what percent will you say they will allow Knicks to sweep or what percent you think they'll make it go games for the money?
Starting point is 00:42:10 It's over. It's over. Hey, get you. Let's Jesus come down there and play for the Cavs. This series over on Monday. Yeah, yeah. The Knicks, if I'm the Knicks, I'm thinking, damn, man, let's throw. everything at them.
Starting point is 00:42:28 Going get them going to get them in their mouth their first quarter. They'll quit. They'll give up. And then we can sit back and just watch this
Starting point is 00:42:35 heavyweight round fight between OKC and the Spurs. And hopefully, hell, they knock each other out here. Well, Spurs need to win tomorrow, Joe. Because if they don't win tomorrow, when they go back to OKC on Tuesday, it's ugly.
Starting point is 00:42:53 It's old what? You ugly. So, Ocho, I think, Santana Moss ran better off to you, bro. I like that. Hey, that's, that's home team. That's my carous city brethren, you know?
Starting point is 00:43:08 That's, that's fine. And anybody, hell, I think AB ran better routes to me too. I still won't relax until the Knicks get four wins. The Red Sox Yankees' 2004 still has me weary. Mm. Yeah. Hey, them folks in New York sitting on pins and needles, boy, they can't wait to celebrate. Hey, I told you what's going to happen, Joe.
Starting point is 00:43:34 I don't really know, old Joe. Hey, that Statue of Liberty is going to move. It's going to get through it. He's going to walk right through that goddamn husband. Just like y'all be saying, they got defenders in the West for Brunson. We got defenders for their ass. Orange and blue skies. Thank you for riding with us.
Starting point is 00:43:52 Orange and blue sky. It's going to be a great, it's going to be a great matter. Whoever, if the Knicks are in it, but I think, look, The best situation is the Knicks versus somebody from the West. Because anybody else, nobody who, if the calves, they're getting swept. Both teams are sweeping them. Yeah, yeah, you're right. And I think, you know, you want to see Shea or Wimby playing in a garden
Starting point is 00:44:16 in a playoff series. This is really where, like, the megastars are really made. You know what I mean? Uh, uh, charges fans since 07. And here, can you tell me what the 94 championship team was like? It was like to play against say I arrested. So love always, always go PSG. Man, we opened the season up against the charges.
Starting point is 00:44:52 Bro, we was killing them dudes, bro. We had them dudes down like, it was a similar situation just like the Spurs was doing the OKC. Man, we were up, I think we were up 17. We was up 17 nothing at one time. And then they scored 13 and then we throw a pick right before the half and they run it all the way back as time expired in the half.
Starting point is 00:45:28 They go in at the half as well as we played. They up 20 to 13, they up 2017. They take the weak score, then they come back and take the lead. Now we got to get our score touch. down. We down, I think we down like three, but I end up, I end up like messing my knee up. I tweak my, uh, my MCL. Hmm.
Starting point is 00:45:54 Man, Ocho, we got on the field. We back on the 10 yard line. We about to run sprint option, about to hit the guy he wide open ball pops out of John's hand. Say y'all jumps on it. They win. Damn. That was it. Mm. They go on and they get to the Super Bowl. But we beat them. We go out there.
Starting point is 00:46:29 We go out there and they are actually in San Diego. So I got to get that get back. You know I got to get back, right? You know what I said? I got hurt. I got to get that get back. Yeah. I better go look.
Starting point is 00:46:42 What did you do? What did you have? I think I dropped out of six for a buck, 22 of the tub on them. You can look at the bat. I think I had like a 50-something. yarder. Okay. Okay. Look at all. I think I had like six for book for two. Go ahead. Look at it up, Ash, 1994.
Starting point is 00:46:57 Let me go see if I can find what I did. I think about something like that, I think, but I had like a 50-sub-yard judge down the top of a. I had a couple long run, Joe. Hey. And he hates on me. She hate me. That's all right. I got it right here. I got it right here.
Starting point is 00:47:20 Because I always gave the charges that work. I had a hundred-yard game against the charges, like every year 94, 95, 96, 97. Oh, I'm cooking. What is it? What was it about the charges? What was it about them? Yeah, for you to get off like that at time. You know, they try to cover me one-on-one.
Starting point is 00:47:51 Oh, okay. Oh, my bad, I was off. I had $6.4.20 in the tub. Oh. I was off of yard. My bad. My bad. My bad.
Starting point is 00:47:59 I'm sorry. I was cool. I was cooking, I would cook it, I would cook it, you know what I'm saying? You know what I said? We had three turn on, they had three turn on two? Damn. We should have been the worst than that. Yeah, we put pain on them.
Starting point is 00:48:30 Linda Russell 18 carries shot. What? What my long? I don't know my long. I think I had like a 50-something yarder. And you were kicking dust like that? Man. You, man, Joe.
Starting point is 00:48:46 I ain't like these. Hey, I ain't like these times in here getting like 50 yards. No, I'm getting me a hundred feet. 160, 150, one 70, 180, two. Yeah, we lost, yeah, we had them down 17-0-0 in the first game.
Starting point is 00:49:05 Them Joe came back and beat us. Beater 37-34. Damn. We had them, hey, we was up, what, 28 Zip? Who there? We were on the charges. They walked y'all down?
Starting point is 00:49:20 And walked us down, boy. That goddamn LaDaney and Thomason. Ooh. Man, I think that's the year he had 31 T's too. Oh, yeah. Yeah, I had 44 yard. I called a bomb over the top of a Joe. Damn.
Starting point is 00:49:41 Yeah, did I caught one on the sideline. I like to got a body there, Joe. I like to got a body there. They called me by knitly by the ankle. Oh, you're looking at you. You're lucky I played during your era. and I played like linebacker. It was never going to be no linebacker with your light ass.
Starting point is 00:50:00 I'm just saying, man. Maybe you could have been a corner. I'm just saying if I had to cover you, but all of them numbers you got? You locking that up, Joe? And listen, I would have had Uncle the blender out there, you hear me? Come on, man, stop it. Hey, Joe, you seen the clip with me with them young college boys, right?
Starting point is 00:50:19 Yeah. Yo, I'm like that at DB, Joe. Real patient. My feet, my feet work real good. My eye discipline real good, Joe. I'm always in position to be able to make a play. I never put a bad position, Joe. Okay, okay.
Starting point is 00:50:33 Well, you've been in a bad position. You played with me. Oh, AK, I was like, damn, Ocho and still, hello. Who y'all got tonight, Lance Stevenson or Michael Beasley. Ocho, how good was Sean Taylor? Ooh. Hey, Sean Taylor was nice, boy.
Starting point is 00:50:52 Sean Taylor was nice Like obviously what you saw A UM is one thing You know what you saw in the NFL The Small Severs How you saw in the NFL is another But what he did in high school What he did in Pop Warner
Starting point is 00:51:05 What Sean Taylor's name Was ringing up Sean lived way down south Yeah I live in the city In Dave County Sean was wearing in Brow County His name was ringing bells
Starting point is 00:51:17 Way from dying there So obviously I didn't understand who he was but when I had a chance to see him play a UM, man, that rest was history. I already knew what it was.
Starting point is 00:51:28 And he made such an impact so early, which is why he still regarded as one of the best, and he didn't even play long. And we still ain't seen nothing like that. Big dude like that size.
Starting point is 00:51:42 Fast. Six, three, 225, 230. He probably like 230. Ball hawk. Sideline. Boy, and when he came, he had bad intentions.
Starting point is 00:51:53 every time he showed up. Every time. Remember what he did to the part? Remember what he did to the part? Ryan Mormon, yeah. I remember that. That was, uh, that might have been 2005,
Starting point is 00:52:03 2005, 2006. I forgot what Provo that was. Hey. Because I think Coach Belichick, Coach Belichick was the, I think Coach Belichick. Was it Coach Belichick? Or was it Coach Kyle
Starting point is 00:52:19 were the head coach at the Pro Bowl? They ran that fake punt. Uh-huh. I don't know that no more. Hey, hit that goddamn, hit that corner, Joe. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:34 And try to turn up instead of going out of bounds. Man, isn't it? Then I taught that man into getting head split. Thank you guys for joining us for another episode of Nightcap.
