246 passing yards, one touchdown. The question to you, are the Lions legit? The Lions are the real deal. The Lions are the real deal. Thursday night football, Kansas City Chiefs versus the Lions. Everybody asking me, who do you think is going to win the game? And I, without hesitation, said the Lions got this one, whether Travis Kelsey was playing or whether he wasn't.

The Lions have done a great job drafting. Listen to me. You got Sewell, Amon St. Brown, Deporta, Hutchinson, Brian Branch. Then the acquisitions in the offseason, Jared Goff. Man, they have built a completely different team. Mind you, now listen, the Lions haven't had a two-win season in what, 20-plus some years. They 3-1 this year, and they are the team.

You mean a 10-win season? Huh? What you mean, a 10-win season, 12-win season? They haven't had a 10 win season in 20 years okay and it's looking like this is gonna be the year they're gonna get it done yeah i don't know really i don't know what dan campbell got them boys over there eating down in detroit but they eating something and they eating good if you remember when he first took the job he says we're gonna be a tough football team. And he got him to buy into that. He

got rid of guys that didn't believe in the program. He got guys in there that wanted to be tough, that wanted to play a physical brand of football. And the hardest thing, because a coaching job, you're part of a lot of things. You're part best friend, you're part father, you're part psychologist, but you got

the lead man, and you got to convince them that you know the direction and best to lead them. And if guys believe in you, they'll go to heaven or hell for you. He's got these guys playing extremely well. I picked them to win that division. I don't see any reason why I should get off that pick now. They're playing well on both sides of the football. They're dominating the line of scrimmage on both sides of football. Hutchinson is getting after people. They're playing well on both sides of the football. Listen, what they did in that first half on the offensive side of the ball, on the defensive side of the ball, having the Green Bay Packers at negative yardage at the half. Yeah. At the half, this is the NFL.

Right. This is the NFL we're talking about. There's got to be ways to construct something to get some part of yardage out your offense. Not only did they win into Lambeau Field. Yeah. I picked the Packers to win. I messed up.

I picked the Packers to win because Detroit, just the thought of Detroit going into Lambeau Field and actually winning the game. Right. The tides have turned. The tides have shifted in that division. And now Detroit is a legit contender to win it all in that division. That's crazy.

Yeah, I definitely think they're going to win it all. The reason why I like the Lions, because a lot of people pick – because you remember last year now, they kept the Packers out of the playoffs. They went to Lambeau Field the last game of the season with everything for the Packers riding on it, and if they could have got a team to you know, to knock off another team, they would have made the playoffs. So the question that I had is that a lot of times we see teams, Ocho,

end the season on a hot streak. And then people automatically assume, oh, they about to pick right up where they left off. But you don't know. You climbed up to the mountain and climbed to the top of the mountain. But once the season's over, you start back at the bottom of the mountain next year. You don't pick up where you left off. They picked up with the same intensity, with the same focus,

and he says, look, last year wasn't good enough. They talk about, oh, yeah, we had a good season, but we didn't make the playoffs. We didn't win the division. Now let's finish what we started last year and let that be a continuation of what we do this year. Listen, the funny thing about it and what makes it easy for them, the confidence, buying into what Dan

Campbell has been talking about since day one is that offensive line, the acquisitions of David Montgomery, the drafting of Jameer Gibbs, that offense is humming. They humming. And all three phases of the night, they dominated the game. Special teams, off to the side of the ball,

deep to the side of the ball. Obviously, in the second half, it was a little – They got off the Jordan Love. That D-line, that front got off the Jordan Love. Man, Hutchinson had two sacks last week. He had a sack tonight or he had two? Two. Another two again.

There were Lions fans. But what he has to realize, even though there's a pod of Lions fans, you're still in Lambeau Field, and Packers fans outnumber you. So he got a little beer. Did you do something like that? I think if I remember correctly, you jumped in the stands. In the dog pound in Cleveland. I'll never forget.

Big dog. Oh, yeah, they shoved you. Yeah, it was big dog. Before preseason, not preseason, before the game started, I went to big dog and asked him, with all due respect, if I happen to score on this side of the end zone, can I jump to you guys in the dog pound? He said, yeah, go ahead.

So when I scored on that end, I jumped in the dog pound. But it was some fans on the opposing, some fans that I didn't talk to, that weren't at the game early. And somebody poured beer on me. But, you know, with all due respect, I understood what was coming from the territory. The funny thing about it, I did a Lambeau leap in Lambeau field, but I bought tickets for three Bengals fans and I put them in the South end zone. And I just hoped I was scoring the South end zone. I happened, I happened to get in there and I jumped it in,

but I didn't have to deal with deal with Bill that time. Yeah. So I don't think anybody should, I don't think anybody should be surprised that, you know, you know what you get, you know what you get. Yeah. You run up in the stands, whatever, you know, although there were five of them. You know what you get. You know what you get. Come on. Yeah, you run up in the stands, whatever, you know, hey, if I had some ketchup, I'm like, I'm going to hold me some packets of ketchup because if you jump up here and I'm in the stands, I'm going to have

that helmet looking like a bucket of curly fries because I'm going to dump ketchup all on top of your helmet. Oh, yeah. So, I agree. Lions look legit to me. I think they're going to win that division. How far, let's just say for the sake of argument, they win the division. How far do you think they can go? Can they win a playoff game?

Can they get to the NFC championship game? How far do you got them go? How do you have them rank? Okay. You got the 49ers. You got the Eagles. Are the Lions the third best? The fourth best?

Because of the Cowboys. I know you like the Cowboys, but where do you have them in the hierarchy of the NFC? You know what the funny thing is? I got them maybe about fourth. Maybe about fourth. Maybe fourth or fifth because You got 49ers first.

How would you put it? Would you put Eagles first or 49ers? I got 49ers. I think for me, the 49ers have been more impressive. to say the eagles eagles are aren't a good football team but i i've just been more impressed with the the 49ers in which they've dominated the game so i would go 49ers eagles lions cowboys that would be my that's where i would i think i think i would probably i would put the i would put the cowboys third because the Cowboys have had somewhat of postseason success, but they're always in contention in the playoff.

The Lions haven't been there yet, so I would probably put the Lions at four. But I like the Eagles. I like the 49ers. Cowboys, then Lions. That's how I would order it. There was a big trade in the NBA yesterday. Dame Lillard finally gets his wish. He didn't go to the destination that he wanted to,

but he got an opportunity to go compete for a title, which I believe was most important. And, you know, I saw some people show up on my timeline and said, I thought Dame wanted to go to a big market. I said, Dame will play in a supermarket if it's for an opportunity to win a championship. So he goes to Milwaukee, pairs with Giannis. You like it, love it, hate it.

Honestly. You had him going to Miami. You had him going to Miami. I had him going to Miami. It was in the bag. Obviously, they couldn't work out the detail. They couldn't work out the logistics. Somebody put a hole in that bag.

They didn't have a good package deal to sway him over there in Miami. For me, I'm sad. I'm mad for Miami fans. I'm mad for Heath fans. I'm sure Pat Riley and Sposha did all they could, as well as some of the players behind the scenes. But it was just something that we couldn't pull off. I'm happy for Dame, though.

I am too. Because now they have a chance at winning, really winning a title down in Milwaukee again. Middleton, Giannis. Giannis went on. Didn't he just make a little noise not too long ago? Oh, yeah, yeah. He said, I don't know if I'm going to stay if I don't think they're.

And they make a big splash. Yes. They're making a big splash. And they are probably going to come out come out the east yeah i like yannis i like dame i like brooke lopez they keep bobby porters yes they get they they got they got a nice roster i think the thing you know what i'm thinking ocho i'm thinking remember how we talk about dating in private and dating publicly. I believe if Dame had kept, I want to go to the organization and say, you know what, guys? I want to be in a situation.

It looks like to me that I don't have a chance to win a championship here. I would really like to do be a solid because I've been a model citizen in Portland. I've been great for this organization. I'd really appreciate it if you allow me to move on. And my preferred destination would be the miami e now i'm doing this and i'm talking to you in private i'm not going to say anything publicly my representative is not going to say anything publicly right but when you come out so boisterous and says dame is not going to be happy and he's going to make it uncomfortable

well hold on wait a minute now you got four years left and almost $200 million. You're not calling no shots. Well, actually, he is calling the shots. And that's what that's what the NBA players have been doing. They've been able to do it for a very long time. He might not. He might not have gone to the destination he wanted, but he got something in the back of his mind that he's always wished for, that people have always complained about when you try to find or have a knock on Dame, is the fact that you stand in Portland and you're not going to have a chance to win. Dame has given Portland everything he's had. Everything he's had.

So whether he was quiet about it, whether he was private or whether he was public about it, out of respect for what he's done for that organization, they should be willing to send him wherever and wherever he pleads. Hold on now, hold on. Let me take the organization side. We have put $400 million in your pocket. Uh-huh. What is that worth?

And he gave you $400 million worth of work. Okay. But now. He gave crazy work. Oh, but here's the thing. I believe. You got too many, Bert. You and I both know, Ocho. Now, you're not going to bag me in a corner.

But I think this is a great situation for us because you got Giannis, who's one of the two – I got it right now. I think Jokic is the best player in the NBA. I got Giannis second.

So you go to a team that has the second best player in the NBA who's a two-time MVP, a finals MVP, and you put Dame, who can shoot the ball, can play pick-and-roll basketball. He averaged seven assists last year. I think it's a match made in heaven, although Milwaukee,

compared to Milwaukee, I want to be in two M's. It's Miami or Milan, not Milwaukee. You know what? Now I got a question for you. So if you were to come to Miami, Dame, Jimmy Butler, Bam, Tyler Heddle, what would you choose? No, Tyler Heddle would have to be part of the package.

Oh, okay, okay. So let's go with our three. Let's go with our three. Dame, just hypothetically speaking. Yes. Dame, Bam, Jimmy Butler. What are our chances in the East if it did go that way? What do you think?

I like it, but I like this better. I like with Giannis better because now you can't clog the paint to keep Giannis out from attacking the rim because you got a marksman. You got arguably the second greatest shooter of all time behind Steph Curry. Now, Klay Thompson might have something to say about that. Larry Bird might have something to say about that. But from distance, it's hard to say there's a better shooter in the history of the game other than Steph Curry than Dame Lillard.

And so now you got a guy that can play pick and roll. He can spot and shoot. He can catch and shoot. He can get to the rack. He has no weakness. Dame Lillard has no weakness offensively. And you got Giannis that's always in attack mode. They're tall.

You got Lopez that can protect the paint. You got Giannis that can protect the paint. You got Portis that can protect the paint. I think they've done an outstanding job. Giannis put pressure on the organization. Say, if y'all want me to sign that extension this offseason, y'all need to show if y'all want me to sign that extension this offseason, y'all need to show me y'all for real.

Yeah. Oh, you want us to show you? Showed them. They showed them. They showed him. So I like this. So what's your hierarchy in the East now? You got Boston with their dynamic duo. You got Miami with Bam.

You still got James Harden. Don't leave Jimmy out. Don't leave Jimmy out now. He got out of that Miami duo too. Bam and Jimmy. Yeah. You got James Harden is a little unhappy, so we don't know how that situation is going to play out. But he's currently on the roster of the 76ers,

and he is paired with last year's MVP. Joel Embiid. Joel Embiid. So you got Joel Embiid and Harden. You got Giannis and Dane. You got Bam and Jimmy. You got JT and JB. Where are you going?

Listen, as a Heat fan, as a Heat fan, and I got to stay loyal to my fan base and where I'm from, I'm going, just listen to me. I know people are going to talk crazy. Oh, you and I, what you talking about? I'm going with Bam and Jimmy first. I'm going with Bam and Jimmy first. I haven't seen.

How healthy is he going to be? Because he's a tremendous third option. How many teams have a third option that's a two or three

time all-star? Right option. How many teams have a third option that's a two- or three-time All-Star? Right. I mean, not very many teams. Not very many teams. But when he is healthy, he's efficient. And obviously, he will be back. I don't want to say in shape. That's the wrong word to use.

I know the clip that made headline when she said that she had 35 partners. And people like, well, oh, that ain't... But my thing is, Ocho, you have to understand. That ain't rookie numbers, man. Come on, now. Ocho, but you have to understand where I grew up, women didn't talk

about stuff like that. And it definitely wasn't, they didn't wear it like a badge of honor. They called those women, and I'm not saying that, but they used the term loose. But now I'm seeing women are more, okay, hell, men can do it.

I can do it. Yes, yes. And so it's not as taboo from what I'm hearing. And Jemele Hill, who I know Mel for. Yeah. And she makes some good points. She makes some good points. And a lot of these guys talk about all

this and that. If Brittany Renner was right here and said, okay, I want to holler at you. All the men that talk about all this and all that going to line up and try to be 36, 37, 38, 51, 82. Every last one. Every last one. I like, listen, I have nothing against that.

I like men that are taking control. Now men have no leverage. Men have no leverage anymore. Oh yeah, I've been with so-and-so. Oh, I've been with this many. There's nothing you can say. Men use no leverage anymore. Oh, yeah, I've been with so-and-so. Oh, I've been with this many. There's nothing you can say. Men use it as a controlling mechanism. Yeah.

Listen, I'm one. I'm just speaking for me. I don't know how other men feel personally. I have no problem with your past. I have no problem. Listen, Shannon, when you eat your food, you want your shit seasoned, don't you? Yeah. You want your shit seasoned? Yeah. I want my goddamn bone seasoned. But two-by-season, I don't want a two-by-season

that damn. You better meet a lot to be two-by-season on the Ocho. Damn. Come on, that little bit of salt and pepper. Maybe some paprika or whatever. Listen, and you also, when you say you don't want it two-season, you got to understand and have common sense on the type of women, the type, the caliber of women you're dealing with and the type of men she has

access to. So it gives you a better understanding of what that may be. If it bothers you that much, if it bothers you that much, don't deal with those types of women. It's simple, but I like my own season. Me,

Ocho, me personally. Yes. I've never asked a woman, um, how many guys she's been with because, first of all, I don't think she's going to be honest. And second of all, whatever number she say, just multiply it by three. Something my grandma told me.

And so, but I think the thing for me is that what I wanted to get, because I kind of knew who she was. I didn't listen to a whole lot of her stories. But I think if you watch the entire interview, she grew up in rural Mississippi near the Louisiana border. She's biracial, which I didn't know. I don't know how many people knew that. And I think the longing for her dad to be,

because she grew up in like a predominantly white area. Yes, sir. And so her dad is black, her mom is white. And I think she, if I'm not mistaken, she's raised by her white grandparent, her mom's mom. And her mom has some issues. Her dad has some issues also. But I think she yearned for affection and attention and love from her dad. Right.

And so she turned and she thought the way she could get that from men was giving her body. Right. And she kept giving and she never returned. And she didn't get what she wanted in return.

And so for me, why, you know, people, because I thought she was interesting. I thought she had a very compelling story because I see past all that. I just don't look, oh, she's unworthy of being on here. Bro. Oh, she's worthy

because she has a story to tell that other women are also going through that might not know how to navigate through the situation. So the fact that she's able to come on your platform and express why she is the way she is. That's okay.

You know what my grandfather used to tell my brother and I? He said, I don't worry about what you tell me. I worry about what you don't tell me. So she told you. She had that many. What about the woman you with that they told you? She might have 55. Lying. L 55. Lying.

Lying. Your body count is like, guess what? Guess who in the bed? Whatever you did before me, you in my bed right now. So that ain't got nothing to do with me. Ain't got nothing to do with me. He mad. I bet you he mad. You leveled up. See, I ain't got no problem.

Right. Right, right. I ain't got no problem. Not very many, listen, Shannon, not very many men can take that, though. Not very many men are confident enough to understand and know the past that a woman's had. But depending on who you're dealing with,

man, listen, how you think she got good at that? How you think she got good at that? How you think she got good at that? Or so-and-so? Practice. Not through you. Practice, boy. Practice makes perfect. And plus, athletes, for the most part,

I guess people, you know, gossip sites and the TMZs and all these pages started reaching out to them. And then all of a sudden they started chiming in. And then, you know, all of a sudden, they started chiming in. And then, you know, all of a sudden, you know, she needs to be careful and he's a this and he's a that. You know how it is.

Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. Wait a minute. For the exes, no disrespect, you know. But he was a this and a that before you met him. You know what come with the territory with certain individuals, whether it's good or bad. You know what you deal with when you're dealing with athletes. Do you know how much time I invested in this woman? Do you know how much love that I tried to give this woman? So when she says it's over, you damn right. It hurts. And what I've learned to do is I've learned to manage my expectations. I always focus on the memories, creating great memories. Yeah. Consistent memories. And I think one of the things that scares me and i can be honest you know we all family i can share this with y'all one of the things that scares me is everybody has the expiration date everybody has the expiration date as great as things are when you first meet when you meet someone in the beginning it's beautiful the honeymoon phase you know that dopamine that excitement the The honeymoon phase, you know, that dopamine, that excitement,

the butterflies, the nervousness, you know, when things are new. And one of the things that scare me is everything has an expiration date. And that's something my grandma always told me. But I always, one of the things I always wanted to ask her, which I wasn't able to

because she had passed away, is how do I change things a little bit so I get a little bit more time so that date doesn't expire when it's supposed to? And that's one of the things that me and the missus, we talk about all the time, is finding ways to navigate around and keeping things fresh, keeping things new, and trying to find and captivate that new feeling again. And that's something that's very, very, very, very difficult. Because, you know, in hindsight, it's still the same individual that you've already known. Yeah, but they change every day.

Every day you wake up, you're a different person than what you were yesterday. So is that person going to evolve with you? Is that person going to change with you? That's the thing. Because I'm not the same person yesterday I am today. And tomorrow I'll be a totally different person tomorrow than I am today. I mean, but you know how scary that is? Yes.

You know how scary? You know, a woman can love you Monday. Shannon, stay with me now, baby. Stay with me. A woman can love you Monday. And by the time Thursday get here, her feelings will completely be different. You know what? I won't go this morning.

God has blessed me and put great financial people around me and I'm good. But I don't get nearly the rush or the excitement to go places like I do to get up to go to work. Right. It's a funny thing. I travel specifically to watch soccer games all over the world. But as far as vacationing is something that I don't do unless it's involving all my kids as one unit, one big gang. And that's it. And we do that. We do our normal annual trip, you know, at the beginning of the summer. And there is no vacation for me. I always tell myself there has to be a reason for me to be relaxing. Why am I going to Persona Caicos? Why am I going to the Bahamas? Why am I traveling and taking pictures and bathing suits and, well, I don't drink, and sipping or whatever it may be, and I ain't putting no goddamn work in? What the fuck am I celebrating?

What am I celebrating? Sometimes I see people all the time traveling and turning up and having all this fun, but why? What's the celebration? What do we celebrate? But I want to do one time, one time in my life, I want to go somewhere and see if I

can. Because it's hard for me to relax. It's hard for me to sleep. But I want to go one place. I want to go somewhere for two or three days. That's all I got for you. But I want to go one place.
