Shaq has some words for Rudy Gobert.
Let's take a listen to what Shaq had to say about Rudy.
I hate Rudy Gobert.
Why don't you like Rudy?
Because I'm a 250.
You don't deserve it though.
As the president of the big man alliance, you're making big money.
Play like a big man. That's it. Play like a big man. Throw some bowls, knock some people out. Don't be like, oh, I'm going to be the president of the big man lines, you make him big money. Play like a big man.
That's it. Play like a big man.
Throw some bowls, knock some people out.
Don't be letting little white dudes from Denver dunk on you and talk to you.
Then you got to grab them by the side.
Come on, bro.
I said, if you go, we get paid big money play big.
I just want Shaq to still be on TV when Rudy gets into the Hall of Fame
because it's going to really go there when Rudy gets into the Hall of Fame because it's gonna
Hey look I think with Shaq because Rudy's not an offensive guy
Meaning that yeah, he ain't shooting the ball outside the paint.
So no, they ain't never gonna get Rudy no credit on that.
He is a defensive big.
He's a defensive guy.
Hey, timing is everything, man.
You know, he came along at the right time,
but if you looking for him to offensively wow you
when you think he has a mismatch,
I think that's kind of like what Shaq thinking.
He like, he ain't dominating the game.
Like you getting paid 200 something million, you can't dominate?
Shaq was going up two people, three people.
If you didn't have at least three people on Shaq, Shaq was dunking on you.
It wasn't even fair.
Every team that Shaq played against, they had three bigs.
They had 18 files to give, Ocho. Yeah.
Cause two guys falling out.
Hey, listen.
Or they gonna have 10 fouls.
Oh, Ocho, I came in at 0-1.
That was Shack.
Shack was still at like the prime of his.
That was Apex Shack.
Ooh.
2001, 2003.
Yeah.
You can give it up, brother.
You got that cuttin' up, huh?
We gonna try to give you as much help as we can you got to fight him?
Yeah
It was it was unreal to try to stop it do he was so huge and agile. I was like
It was unreal bro. It was unreal
All right, that's fine check
Shaggy go let it go
And the thing is here's the problem that you run into deserve
I
Mean deserve is a very very tricky word. Yeah
Cuz sometimes we give God's mercy and grace when we don't deserve it. Yeah, I
Look at it like this my notepad man
Rudy's earning the money based on what they pay
his body of work
He's earned a hundred million 200 million, whatever they pay him
Shack ain't no shack. If you wait know somebody to be like you
You never gonna see it with your own eyes in your lifetime. Yeah.
Hey, hey, analytically, when they when they look at it from that point of view, he dominates
the game.
You know what I mean?
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
They looking at it from a deeper perspective nowadays.
But yes, you know, I kind of I kind of understand what Shaq is talking about.
But Rudy's just not an offensive guy, bro.
He can't right.
He's going outside that paint, period.
You know what it is, Joe?
And it looks worse in this era because the scoring is up.
See, if he was back in Shaq's era, he'd been perfect.
Yeah.
Cause they never say the thing about Rick Smiths.
They didn't say the thing about Dwight Howard.
But Dwight had some years where he was 20,
he averaged 20 points in 12, 14 rebounds.
So Dwight Howard was always more of an offensive threat
than Rudy Gobert.
But you look at Ben Wallace.
Yeah.
So he's looking at it in today's time
when you got four or five guys averaging 30
and you got 15, 20 guys averaging 20. And Shaq like, bro, you seven, three you got 15, 20, 30, 20 guys average at 20.
And Shaq like, bro, you seven, three, you seven, one, seven, three.
And bro, you giving 12 points a game?
And so Shaq is looking at it like, bro, for 250, if they didn't get,
Shaq's looking at it, this is how Shaq's thinking.
If they had played me 250, I'd give them 40 a night.
Right, absolutely.
That's how Shaq's thinking.
Absolutely.
And y'all think these guys look at these contracts
and the money that these dudes making nowadays,
if y'all don't think they look at it
and kind of frowned upon it, some of them,
Yes.
They can't help it because you can only
put yourself in that position like,
man, if I was around this time,
I'd be making X amount of, you know what I mean?
Yes.
But what you think Will and Mr Russell was thinking when they're making $20,000 a year and they see guys making
17-18 million a year. Yeah. The same thing on Charmaine Luke. I'm looking at these guys now we
talked about George Kittle he's making 19 million Ozzy and Kellan and Mike Dicker and John Mackie, they looking at me when I was
making the money I was making. And guess what? In 10 years from now, they're going to be
a guy making $100 million a year in basketball. A hundred. Because they say Ant-Man could possibly be making 82 million in 2027 season
2728 Ant-Man could possibly get the highest contract 82 million a year a million dollars a game
Yeah, hey
Amen, we have to pay respects to the people who came before us cuz yes
Hey
The money these dudes making now boy,
it's ridiculous.
Shaq also bet Mike Tyson that Klay Thompson's
new relationship with Meg Thee Stallion
won't last more than six weeks.
Man, she watch Shaq be, man, why Shaq act like this?
Hey man, just give us opinion, man.
Clay, Clay, Clay out there in the gym,
they going golf and they doing all kinds of stuff.
Yeah, I'm happy for them.
That's nice.
Clay living his best life, man.
He's the young.
I mean, that's it.
Yeah. Yeah.
I think it's different now.
I think with social media,
do I think like athletes dated like celebs
and entertainers?
Sure, but they kept it hush hush.
Now, you get a picture anyway now.
Now I think now Joe and Ocho is a you cross or you an athlete
or something you want to date a Meg the stat or you want to date a gorilla or you want
to date, you know, whomever I want to throw nobody name out there because I know she's
somebody trying to be messy.
So but I'm just saying if you were an athlete and you were, Saul's garden is dating somebody,
he dating somebody, what, Ice Spice?
Ice Spice?
Yeah, I think so.
Yeah, so a situation like that?
You go out to eat, you go out to eat,
y'all might just be in the,
as my grandma say, the coding phase.
Y'all, you don't know, you know what I mean?
You can't do nothing nowadays, Ocho.
Nah, nah, nah.
Nah, but listen, if you wanna hide,
hiding is possible if you really wanna hide.
Yeah.
But see, but here's the thing, Ocho.
A lot of people like, what you hide me from?
Do you got something that you don't, you tried me,
you don't want people to know about me?
You got somebody over here?
Yeah, of course they do, yeah. Nah, nah, nah, they ain't all got somebody over here. Yeah, of course they do. Yeah
No, some people just like they privacy but they do oh Joe I want to be by everybody
I want to be like you out there like that
Oh Joe dead serious, bro
Some people really like to chill bro. They don't really be in there for them
For the for the hoopin and hollering bro for real.
Yeah, okay.
All right.
I'm gonna let you go.
This baby be on, this boy be wildin'.
So you mean to tell me nowadays when people date.
Nowadays?
If I ain't got you, if I ain't got you splattered all over my profile.
That mean I'm doing something ain't got no business.
You know man, even if you are splattered all over the profile,
ain't stop it.
That ain't changing.
Not changing.
Not here.
What you're not going to do is sit on here and act like, come on now.
Don't know.
No, Ocho.
I'm not saying that that doesn't happen, but some people like their privacy.
Right.
That's all.
Everybody don't want to date publicly.
Everybody don't want to be in a public relationship
because guess what?
The minute everybody, because the moment you make it public,
you get everybody feel like they have the ability
to chime in.
And so if you break up, if you break up,
if you date publicly, what you got to do?
How you break up, Ocho?
Right.
Probably.
But everybody don't like that, Ocho.
I like it. It don't bother me don't like that. Oh, Joe.
I like it.
Don't bother me.
I like it.
Okay.
That's you.
I go through the same stuff.
The regular people.
I'm regular too, but we all go through the same shit.
What am I hiding for?
I am.
Yeah.
It ain't that.
They just may deal with it internally.
It ain't necessarily.
Just like when you say, hey, some people grieve differently.
Listen, it's good though if you date publicly, you break up publicly, then you have your
supporters to help you cope.
Boom, there you go.
See?
Why you want to break up and then you sitting at home crying, curled up in your bed?
You ain't got to be doing all that.
You ain't got to do all that.
And who would just say you not doing that even though you putting on that front?
I don't know. I don't do no that. And who's just saying you not doing that even though you putting on that front? Right.
I don't know, I don't do no crying.
I'm just saying.
I don't like your tone towards me.
No, I'm just saying, just because you out there,
you said a lot of times people be doing things publicly
and privately, they broke, they unhappy.
Okay.
Oh no. That's all, that's all right.
Maybe nobody looking at you don't know the hell way.

Dwayne Way says,
Kobe is a top three player of all time
and goes off on Bleacher Report
for ranking him 11th on their all time list.
If you ask us Hooper who played against Kobe,
all of us are going to talk top three of all time.
I agree
So what about the guys that played against Kareem where we gonna rank Kareem?
All the guys that play all the guys that played against Jordan
Somebody so I'm not saying Kobe should be a level I'm not look whatever the case may be but
You see what you see with Jordan. Jordan got number one.
And I think the lowest he ranked was like two or three LeBron, the highest he
ranked was two.
Maybe the lowest he ranked was like three.
So for the most part, people have been having Jordan going back and forth.
Okay.
Wherever you go, I look, you can debate this until the cows come home.
But, and I've said this, Joe,
the guy that gets undervalued the most
is Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
Yep, I agree.
Cause he had the scoring record for the longest.
Had it for 40 years until LeBron broke it.
Yeah.
Yeah, we had it for almost 40 years.
Nobody thought, they didn't think nobody,
first of all, big guys played that long because after you get to a certain point,
a Kareem, a Kareem get the rebound and kick it out.
Hey, magic will hold that thing up. Let Kareem get down there to the block.
Kareem throw that hand up. They throw it to him. He throw the sky hook, go back down.
Nobody thought anybody was going to break it because even when Carmelone got
close, Carmelone body fell apart. Kobe started falling apart.
Jordan started, body started breaking down. So ain't nobody going to break it.
They didn't think nobody could break it. But he got six MVPs. Six. He got more than
anybody. Yeah. And back then, that was the last year that the players were allowed to vote.
The players used to vote for the MVP, Joe.
Yeah, I know.
They don't let it happen no more.
No.
Because in 62, was it 62?
I think, no, no, no, no, no, might've been 66.
I don't understand why the players can't vote.
They think it's favoritism.
Yep.
You don't think they'll keep you real?
Nope.
They not.
Cause of my friend, my buddy.
That's how it was for the pro bowl.
Hey, my man, such as a man.
Make sure you vote for such as such.
No, y'all ain't gonna keep it real.
Let's be real. We got friends and they own the ballot.. Make sure you vote for such a such. No, y'all ain't gonna keep it real.
Let's be real.
We got friends and they own the ballot.
I'm gonna vote for him.
Hey, plus he had a contract year knowing
that if he makes first or second team all NBA,
guess what he gets?
He gets a super max contract.
Yep.
But then here's the thing.
Then we leave it in the hands of people
who never played the sport before.
Yeah.
And now then now you still gonna have a drawback from that.
You're not gonna, yeah, you're not gonna,
you're not gonna be able to appease everybody.
Right. Somebody's gonna have,
somebody's gonna be upset with what you say.
So let me ask you this, Joe, you played the game.
Yeah. Where would you rank Kobe?
In front of all those guys.
So you got him in the top, you got him in the top five?
I was thinking more like two-guardish.
I didn't know we was talking about like the whole league.
See, they didn't rank position.
They ranked the top, what was it, the top 25, the top 100?
Ash, can you pop the list up right?
Okay, here it is.
There was the top 100.
Number one was Michael Jordan.
Number two was LeBron James.
Number three was Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
Number four was Magic Johnson.
Number five was Shaquille O'Neal.
Number seven is Tim Duncan.
Number 11 is Larry Bird.
Number nine is Wilt Chamberlain.
Number 10 is Stephen Curry.
Number 11 was Kobe Bryant.
That's tough
Oh no, I got it I'm gonna have to put him in a top 10. I don't know who I'm taking out
You better see that's the thing. Oh Joe what we tell Joe what we do
We got a piece you bright somebody here. You gotta take somebody out. Yep. What is that?
You can see that?
It's blurry.
Damn.
What is it?
Me and Kobe sitting there arguing at News Cafe.
Yeah.
Who you taking out?
You taking out Jordan?
You taking out LeBron?
Kareem?
Magic?
Russell?
Shaq?
Duncan? Bird? Will, Curry.
Because I guarantee you guys that played against
Magic Johnson say Magic Johnson's not coming out
of the top five.
Absolutely.
Guys that played against Shaq.
Tim Duncan is very underrated.
Very underrated.
Larry Bird.
Yeah.
I mean, what we do with Will?
Will average, what did Will average?
What MVP has a rookie, I think he averaged like-
That's who underrated.
40 and 27.
Who gonna get 24,000 rebounds, Joe?
Man, nobody getting that, man.
The numbers he put up were...
You guys would just start over.
Say, you know what?
We want somebody to really realistically
have a chance of getting rebounds.
And so, because you're not gonna get it.
But even if you did that, ain't nobody gonna catch Kareem.
Nah, nah.
Ain't nobody gonna catch, there ain't no rebounds. First of all, the
guys shoot too well now. They don't miss that many shots in order for you to get the, Will
got the record with 55 rebounds in a game. Nobody's getting 55 rebounds in a game. I
can't, I can't remember. I don't know if anybody, I can't, I think the most rebounds I think
somebody's gotten that I can remember is probably 34 35. Yeah
So just think you still 15 rebounds short
So you're not gonna get that nobody the question is if we put Kobe in the top 10 who we take it out
That's a good question if you look if you look at, if you look at it, let's be real.
Only two guys, only one guy in the top 10 got one regular season MVP, that's Shaq.
But he got three postseason MVPs.
Right.
Mike got five, Jordan got four, Kareem's got six, Magic's got three, Russell's got five, Duncan's got three,
Duncan's got two MVPs I think, two regular season. Bird got three, Wilt has
four, Steph Curry has two. Okay, finals MVPs Jordan has six, LeBron has four,
Kareem has two, Magic has three, They didn't have that with Russell. Shaq has
three. Duncan has three. Bird has two. They didn't have that. They had, I think
Wilt had a chance to get it once. So, and Curry has one finals MVP.
It's tougher than you think.
It really is because it can't just be about scoring.
It's gotta be about all-star games, finals, finals MVP,
regular season MVPs, all MBAs. I think all that has to factor in.
So let's just say for the sake of argument,
we're gonna put him in the top 11.
Are we kicking Steph out?
Are we kicking Wilt out?
We kicking Larry out?
We kicking Duncan, Shaq, Russell, Magic?
Who you kicking out, Joe?
I gotta get Bean in there some way somehow.
Well, you gotta take somebody out.
It's okay if you take LeBron, Jordan, Tareen, Magic.
No.
We gonna get him in,
but we ain't gonna get him in at Dale's expense.
Chad, who y'all want out?
Who are we kicking out, Chad?
After Chad.
Who we kicking out to get Kobe to talk to you?
I just think it's hard.
I think it's hard.
Yeah.
And errors makes it difficult
because people are like, well, I can't take be a Russell out he got 11 championships he got 11 championships and five MVPs
Shaq was as dominant as anybody's ever played the game. I'm Duncan two and three
15 time all in all defensive selection
two and three 15 time all in all defensive selection
Bird with the last guy to win three consecutive MVPs will one for stealth. We've got two
What's the chat saying that's a hell of a class to be in yeah, it's Chad is saying take stuff out
Take stuff out to put Kobe in there?
Mm-hmm.
Hey, I don't understand why Kobe Bryant
is getting so much disrespect with all these lists
with him being rated so long on those lists.
What's disrespect for, Ojo?
The people that actually played against Kobe
actually have him much higher than those that
didn't play against him.
But here's the thing, a lot of this happened when Kobe passed because I remember when Kobe
was alive, people saying he was a ball hog and he was selfish. The very people that said
he was a ball hog and selfish, they praised and lauded him. They praised and lauded him
in depth when they didn't give him
that praise and adulation when he's alive. Right. Okay. They say Kobe is top three. So D Wade,
who are you taking out of the top three? You taking Jordan, LeBron or Kareem out?
Because you said he's top three. That's what I need to know.
Listen, knowing D D Wade just based off
He would probably take he would probably take Kareem out
The man that was all-time lead in score despite despite exactly what you get ready to say. Yes with six MVPs. Yes
With five championships. Yes, the all-time lead in score third lead rebounder. He ain't taking them out
Oh Joe, don't think so
You take it you take a LeBron out now
For regular season MVPs for finals MVPs 21 time all-star 21
No, 21 time all-star 21 time all NBA selection. Mmm
You know three five three finals are three
All-star game MVPs
You taking Jordan out ten times scoring. You ain't gotta talk. You know, okay
I saw so I just want to know D Wade said he's top three
I just want to know who he's taking out of the top three to put Kobe in
My dad D way that I don't know
I'm having a hard time having a hard time getting him in the top three. Hey, you know what? I'm finna ask him.
Because the way you do it, like, okay, such and such should have made it. Because y'all do it,
you do this stuff, Joe. Such and such should have made the the all-star game Okay, if I take a doll star team if I take if I put him in who am I taking out?
Oh Joe, we do this all the time with the Pro Bowl. Oh, just a man such a such you debated
I say well, oh Joe who you taking out?
Mmm
Yeah, I get it. It's tough. So that so forget the top 10
D way didn't say he should have been top 10.
D way said he should have been top three.
So with that being said, that means Jordan, LeBron or Kareem has to come out.
There's no way around it because you can't have, I don't think that maybe they did
a little later now, but nobody would they had you know, okay
But two guys at number four two guys at number twelve or thirteen
Michael Jordan LeBron James Kareem Abdul-Jabbar he pray on what?
Again I'm telling you we take it out, you know, he ain't taking out Jordan, you know, ain't taking out LeBron
Yeah, be taking out kept going to take out Kareem despite all the accolades that you just ran down
I guarantee you
People don't realize how good kareem was man
He was going to win the third mvp had he not messed his ankle up because go go back and look at the numbers when Magic won the finals MVP, go back and look
at Kareem's numbers.
Ballin'.
33 and 14.
That's what he was averaging.
Yeah.
Kareem had some years where he was 32 and 16.
Like I said, just go back and look at Kareem's career
Look, I understand a lot of people didn't like Kareem a lot of people didn't like that
He changed his name because he wasn't originally Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. He was a very surly
He didn't get along with a lot Kareem may take no jump go back. You did something to Kareem Kareem was punching you in your face
It was really that simple. He rubbed a lot of reports.
That's why he didn't get no job.
That's why he didn't get no head coaching job.
Think about it.
All the greats that wanted to coach,
got an opportunity to coach.
Bill Russell, Sam Jones, Jerry West,

Check out Behind the Flow, a podcast documentary series following the launch of San Diego Football
Club. We go behind the scenes and explore the stories of those involved. San Diego coming to
MLS is going to be a game changer
because this region has been hungry for a men's professional soccer team.
We need veteran players and we need young players.
Like, you're building a team from scratch
and so the succession plan of long-term success needs to be defined.
We need to embrace this community.
When I was 13, my uncle took me to a qualifier,
and we watched Paraguay against Chile, pouring rain,
just watching the fans jumping up and down.
I think that was definitely a watershed moment for me.
Not only was that going to be my game, but it was going to be my life.

Oh Joe, WNBA players warmed up in t-shirts
ahead of the All-Star Game last night.
The t-shirts featuring the words,
"'Pay us what you owe us." After the All-Star Game when night, the t-shirts featuring the words, pay us what you owe us. After the, uh, after the All-Star game,
when the Fisha, the call you won the MVP trophy, the crowd
chanted, pay them, pay them, pay them.
Oh Joe, what you thinking?
Listen, pay it, pay them what they owe. Now listen, I keep hearing rumblings.
I don't know enough about this to get in depth with it and talk about it like I should, but
I understand they get a very small percentage of the revenue that they do bring in.
Right.
Stay with me now, chat.
I'm listening.
They make a very small percentage of the revenue that they do bring in.
Pay them what you owe them a little bit more than what they're already making based on
the revenue that they bring in.
Okay.
I mean, it's not rocket science.
It's not complicated.
NFL players, I'm not sure what percentage of NFL revenue they make that they bring in.
I think they get 48% of...
48%.
If I'm not mistaken, I might've saw something that said NBA players get 9% of NBA
revenue. WNBA. No, that's the WNBA get 9% of the revenue.
Let's get that up a little bit more. That's all. That's all the game. The game for them,
for the women is continuing to grow. A lot of people make a fuss. Oh, don't nobody watch this
dad. They're nobody watching them. Oh, Oh people are watching they're filling up the stands every goddamn game
I go to I see the lines. Yeah, I've been to the games
So somebody lying
Twitter lying to me because every every time I turn on the game or look at the game the motherfucking stadium is full
everyone
Pay us what you owe.
That's a slippery slope.
Why?
The what?
Because I've been, from everything that I've read, the WNBA has never turned a profit.
So if I'd never turned a profit, Ocho, so let me get this right.
I'm losing money, but you want to raise.
Right. So I'm losing money, but you want to raise. Right.
So I made that up.
Wait a minute. If you never turned a profit and WNBA been around how long?
How many years now?
96, I think the year they started.
And they never turned, they've never turned a profit, but it still seems to be
running just well and fine and continuing to grow some,, somebody, somebody told me. Some says that the NBA is supplementing.
Some people say they're not supplementing.
But the one thing that's not being refuted
is that they're not making them a money where they could like,
oh, the reason why the salary is for the,
think about it, Ocho.
JJ Watt made $112 million in his career.
His brother just got a $123 million contract for three years.
Because why?
The NFL revenue is increasing exponentially.
I like that, but listen, if WNBA's been around since 96,
I'm not good at math, so I'm not going to say
how many years it's been.
At some point in that time,
whether it turns a profit or not,
that profit has still increasingly got better
and better and better.
So if you only make 9% of the profit
and what revenue that you're bringing right now,
there's nothing wrong with making a little bit more.
Just a little bit more.
Don't give it too much.
How much?
Because I think, look, I don't think.
That's not my area of expertise.
That would be amongst them to figure out.
But I'm just saying, just a little bit more.
A lot of times, Ocho, when you feel you've been underpaid
for the length of time that you've been underpaid,
you don't feel that's enough.
You don't feel they can pay you enough.
Ocho, I can't back pay you for 30 years.
I like that. Right, Jadon Bear? Hold on. Hold on.
The WNBA players get 9.3% of the league revenue.
NBA, NHL, NFL players get 50% of the revenue.
The WNBA did lose $40 million in 2024.
The large part was that it was due to they are currently
signed to which 2026 goes from roughly 45 million
to 200 million annually.
This will result in the essence,
the league making money overnight and losing 40 million
to a net gain of 115
just alone in TV deals.
Even if game tickets sold were to stop growing,
the merch stopped selling, it will still be in the green.
So with that being said.
Hold on, lost 40 million?
Yes.
Lost?
Yes.
You sure you read that right?
You said lost. They lost 40 million last year.
Yes. But, but in 26, they're going to go from getting 45 million annually for TV to 200
million annually. Yay, there we go. Now we talking. Now we talking business. Pay us what
you owe. But still. No, I'm going to pay you moving forward.
I'm not trying to make up for back pay.
OK, OK, well OK, don't pay us what you owe.
Pay us moving forward, but it better
be looking better than that 9.8% that we are getting.
OK?
And listen, the game is growing tremendously.
More eyes, more visibility. Kids are watching.
Listen, what Caitlin Clark has been able to do along with the others that laid
the foundation, that laid the footprint, the Asia Willsons, you know, the
angel Reese's like, like I like where it's going.
Page, Buckers.
I mean, come on, man.
Becker's.
Becker's.
Yeah.
My bad.
I'm talking about Buckers.
I was thinking about, I was thinking about Jam. Yeah. So I was thinking about Smuckers. My bad. My bad. Becker's. Becker's, yeah, my bad. I'm talking about, I was thinking about jam.
Yeah, so I was thinking about Smuckers, my bad, my bad.
Yeah.
Yeah, but I'm listening.
Yeah, I think the thing is, I think, let's see, the nine,
you got to least, I mean, at least you got to get to 20%
at the bare damn minimum, right?
You said, listen, you said 20, I was gonna say 90.
No, but I'm saying, I'm saying that's at the bare minimum. Right. You right, listen, you said 20. I was, I was going to say 90. No, but I'm saying, I'm saying that's at the bare minimum.
Right. You're right. You're right. I like it. Shoot.
Look, Ocho, look, you and I both know they're not about to get the 50%.
They're not about to get the 50%.
That's not, that's not, that's not, that's not, that's not,
they're not going to get 50. No.
So maybe,
hey, can we triple it? Can we get to 27, 28%?
Yeah.
Dude, right.
Shoot, they need to let me go on there.
I get you what you owe.
I get what you owe.
Put me in that goddamn room,
but who would I have to talk to, Unc?
If it comes down to...
The owners?
The owners?
Oh, shit.
What?
I mean, what's the lady that's the commissioner?
What's the lady?
Kathy Engelberg?
Engelhardt Engelberg?
Yeah.
So basically you work with the commissioner, then their lawyer, and the WNBA lawyers, and
you got the WNBA PA and their lawyers, and you're like, okay.
Yeah.
Yeah, all right.
Walking in with my night suit on.
How you doing?
Yeah, I think, look, so you're increasing basically 4%, 4.5%, right?
So you're going up, I mean, you think about you going from 4.5, so you four times, 4.5
times the money.
You're going from 45 million annually to 200 million annually.
And they're looking to bring on a couple other teams, right?
Oh, we need a Miami team.
Maybe I could be the owner of the Miami team.
They had a Miami team.
First of all, y'all barely support the Heat, stop.
Hold on, hold on, hold on.
Hold on, man, don't, don't, don't.
And they had a good player, Ruth Riley.
She used to, she was one of the better players at the WNBA.
She used to go to this Boutique Spin studio.
So, but no, no, not Miami.
Too much going on.
What you mean?
But we, man, you know what?
How y'all, how y'all, how y'all,
Ocho, y'all didn't, how y'all doing with the Marlins? The Marlins? How y'all doing with the Marlins?
The Marlins?
How y'all doing with the Heat?
You know y'all come to the game at halftime at the Heat, right?
Yeah, but hold on.
Listen to me.
Listen to me really.
See, it's one thing.
This is what I love about Miami.
Okay?
Let's talk about the women.
We talk about the WNBA.
One thing about women is women show up on time.
One thing about women, women support each other.
You know why?
No, they don't. That's why we're in the situation that we're in. Because if women supported each other, you know, why we know they don't that's why we're in the situation that we're in
Because if women supported each other, it'd be more that's the problem. Okay, the women ain't supporting the women of WNBA
Right. I see. Yeah, you're right. You're right
I just think for some reason if I was a star at WNBA franchise that thing would be lit. Well, I
Have it's not American Airlines Rina no more.
What is it?
Hell, don't start me lying.
Hell, you live in Miami.
I forgot the name of the Rina.
It was FTA.
I mean, listen, all them scams,
they be scamming the names and it keep changing.
So I don't know, but-
Yeah, I want, look, I'm,
I think, can we get the salary?
Can we get the top salaries
to at least a million dollars a year, Ocho?
Ooh, now we talking.
Can we get, before Juju get here,
can we get it like that?
Can we get at least, can we get,
I mean, I think the highest you can make is what,
245, 250?
Nah, make it 500, man.
Make it 500.
Hey, 18 young ladies, 18 young ladies.
Boy, when they be-
17 million?
Ooh, look.
Who makes 17 million?
Oh, so now you talk about three million.
You have some three million dollar,
some three million dollar ladies.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Hey, Lil' Aji Wilson.
I don't think they gonna go down.
She should be making three million, yep.
I was hoping that I triple it, go to 27, 28. I don't think they going to 40ji Wilson. She should be making three million. Yep. I was hoping that I tripled it go to 27, 28.
I don't think they go into 40, Ash.
I don't think they go to even get to 30.
The internet math only did 40%.
So I think it's gonna be 17.
I think realistically, 20, I think 20, 25.
And maybe go incrementally.
From there, from that point on?
Yeah.
Hey, hey, man, that's a good idea, man.
How did I think about it?
What?
I would sit here pondering or reflecting on like,
me and you, we can go half on a WNBA franchise in Miami.
Man, they were, hey, did you see the Valkyries?
They just got valued at 500 million.
Who?
The Valkyrie.
They just came into existence last year.
500 million.
The Liberty, 450.
Right.
No, Shannon Ocho ain't gon' fit to do nothing.
Nah, listen, I'm gonna call Jeff tomorrow.
I'm gonna set up a call with Jeff. I'm gonna set up a call with Jeff.
I'm gonna set up a call with Jeff. Yeah, those franchises are becoming very,
I mean, you see Eli, Eli, the back down,
he was supposed to become a solid partner,
but 1% partner with the Giants.
Who, which Eli?
Eli Manning.
Okay, well he said no.
Bro, you see the valuation of these teams?
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. So even if you talking 1% Ocho, you talking hundreds of millions.
Yeah. Ain't a whole lot of people just sitting on a hundred million dollars can go get their hands on a hundred million dollars Ocho.
I know somebody. Yeah, I know somebody too. Yeah.
It just ain't nobody I'm really close to.
It just ain't nobody I'm really close to. I know some people too.
It just ain't nobody I'm close to.
Yeah, I know some people.
I know a few people.
Hey, that was a good one.
That was a good one.
I don't think people really, hey,
I mean, when you can just go, hey, go touch it.
I mean, you can go touch it.
Man, look here. touch it. I mean, you can go touch it, man. Look here, nah.
But I look, I would like to see them at least at bare,
at the absolute bare minimum.
It goes to double, which would be 18 and a half to 19%.
I would like it be somewhere, you know, being realistic.
I like to be realistic.
I'll be pie in the sky and say, yeah,
let it be like the NFL or NBA or something. and so on. But that's not going to happen
out the top, out the real. So if we can get that thing somewhere between 20 and 25%.
I like it. Make it 24. And go out and support them.
Yeah. Go out and support them. Yeah, go out and support them.
People, I know y'all listening and whatever city you in, make sure you go out there. You support the young ladies, man.
Shoot, goddamn game. Dope as hell. Every time I think about that goddamn experience at the Atlanta Dream game in Atlanta.
Man, Jesus Christ.
Stop playing.
Yeah, if they get to the ladies making a million, making two million dollars a year, I feel happy. Christ. Stop playing. Yeah. Hey, wait. Hey, Houston got a team?
If they get to the ladies making a million,
getting two million dollars a year,
I feel happy.
You heard me.
Huh?
Houston got a team.
They had a team to comment.
They won the first four NBA titles.
So no more.
But I think they, aren't they trying to come get,
get another team?
They gave it to Philly, Cleveland.
And Detroit?
And Detroit. Cause Detroit had the shock Detroit
won the championship when Cheryl Ford who was car Malone's
daughter she was she was they won the title yeah I don't think
Cleveland's ever who else had a Miami had a team Houston had a
team Detroit had a team I'm trying to think does anybody else Sacramento used to have a team
They had the Monarchs. Yes, you're gonna Cheryl
Miami soul, okay
Charlotte oh
So clearly did have a oh wow
Okay, I
Think Portland's gonna keep the same name aren't they if it
I think Portland is gonna keep the same name, aren't they? Is it?
Because you said Cleveland, Detroit, what's the other one, Portland?
Philly, Philly, okay.
Yeah, okay.
Just Josh Harris, right?
Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah.
I figure.
Yeah, I think, I'm summer, on Wrestling with Freddie.
