We'll talk to you guys about the self-coaching model. And in the past, when I've talked about the self-coaching model, I focused on the circumstance and changing that through our
programming. All right. So what I'm going to go through right now is to really basically like,
how do you deal with suck? Because everybody in life has things that suck. We all agree to that,
that something happens in life and hey, that sucks. So let me remind you what the self-coaching
model is. Circumstance leads to thoughts, thoughts lead to feelings, feelings leads to actions,
actions lead to results, results lead to circumstance. This is what the psychologists
call the self-coaching model. The way that that typically happens is something
happens and then you have a thought about it. And so that something happens, maybe, you know,
I've got a transaction that's supposed to be closing on Friday and it just blew up. And now
I think, oh, shoot. And now I've got bad thoughts about it. And so now I've got bad thoughts about it.
And now I'm going to feel about that bad feelings.
Then from those bad feelings,
the actions that I take are going to be actions that won't be empowering.
And then when I do actions that are not empowering,
I'm going to have results that are not empowering.
Let me give you an example of this in a transaction.
Two weeks ago,
I had a non-first English speaking client and he owned a house. And at once upon a time,
he placed his daughter on the title of that house. And I sold the house for him and I got it under contract. I find out later that the daughter never signed the paperwork. He did. So he fraudulently signed the paperwork on her behalf. So I could have a thought at that point of, you know, there's a lot of different thoughts that I can have at that point. Yet, what my thought was, was how do I solve this? And I did solve it. All right. Now I'm leaving out a lot of backstory because the daughter was very, very resistant.
This is only because I had the thoughts that allowed for me to be able to just think through like, I'm not a victim of this.
I'm not screwed. I have the power to be able to figure this out.
I had the wisdom to be able to figure this out. And I'm going to get this deal to close rather than the thoughts that I could have had.
All right. So
something happened, a circumstance. I think when that circumstance happens,
I think most agents at that point would have a thought of what the F. And then they would
take in, then they would have what the F feelings, and then they would do what the F actions.
Instead, you could have a different
thought, which is, I have the ability to solve this problem. I know that it is a solvable problem,
and my job is just to figure out what is that magical thing to solve this problem that will
