Starting point is 00:01:22 for and how he gets into a state of gratitude daily. Dan opens up about what he's most grateful for, from his personal relationships to his professional growth. Learn to focus on what's important in this new No Broke Months for Salespeople episode. What are you guys' thoughts about gratitude and even looking at like the small things? Oh, here's another one. I'm grateful for coffee. I'm grateful for abundant food, for awesome education, a great business. Yes, yes. I'm grateful for my socks, for keeping my feet warm.
Starting point is 00:01:56 I'm grateful I sold the brokerage. Golly, I'm grateful for that. I'm grateful that I'm emotionally balanced. I'm grateful for a nice day. I'm grateful for BNI. I'm grateful for Zoloft. In absence of gratitude, there's always Zoloft, just so you guys know. I'm grateful for a nice car that works. I'm grateful for technology. Grateful for copiers. Grateful for heat. Grateful for my Samsung phone. Grateful for pens. Grateful for modern things. Gr grateful for the gym, grateful
Starting point is 00:02:25 for Ellie. That's my little doggie down there. Grateful for my daughter, for Tracy, for my mom, grateful for our brick home that keeps the wind out. Anyways, just a little bit of different gratitude things there, right? What did you guys notice about, you know, about those things? Like some of them are a little bit that's some we most of us have most of the things you talked about but we don't specifically appreciate these small things every day because it's already there yeah yeah exactly
Starting point is 00:02:59 i think most of us probably have most of what i just shared or some sort of version of that, right? And even if it's like, I'm grateful for a pen that can write, okay, that I can take notes and document what I'm grateful for, so that I don't know how long ago this was, it had to have been within the last four years, because it was after I sold the brokerage. Okay, like, but I don't know how long ago it was that I wrote that down. It was between, say, two to four years ago. So at some point, I had a pen and I had a book, and I was able to document that. How freaking awesome is that, that I had the tools to be able to take a moment in time, a snapshot in time, and document it so that I can replay it to myself? So I encourage for you to use this exercise on a regular basis as I do. And I've got books and books and books of this, right? Like books of it. And one of the things
Starting point is 00:03:49 that I do to be able to influence myself is I intend to not put the same things down twice. Now, I'm not always such a hard on that rule because some things I'm really, truly grateful for it. I want to honor them like my sobriety, for example. Okay, so that's like a lead domino, right? So if it's something, my health, for example, if it's a relationship. So those are the big, big things. And so those tend to come up more than once. But I tend to not allow myself to really focus on that too often. I tend to more focus on things like the pen that allow for me to document and the book
Starting point is 00:04:24 that allow for me to write this down, you know, so I can use it in the future. Because when you do that, you're going to find there's so much in your world. There's so much in your awareness that you can embrace and really be grateful for.
