I'm the host of the No Broke Months podcast, which is a show for real estate agents to help you have No Broke Months.
Thanks for joining me.
Enjoy the show.
What you're going to want to do to be able to make sales?
to be able to really understand how to be able to have no broke months is number one is you're
going to want to be able to discover why do you do what you do answer this question why do you
make sales and I want you to answer that question from the no BS the real reason why do you make
sales meaning if right now you're behind on your mortgage two months if right now you're saving
for evocation if right now you're newly divorced and you want to say to that spouse screw
you, I don't need you. Whatever the reason is, the real no BS, why do you make sales?
And I want you right now to write that down. I make sales to be able to save to buy a new car.
I make sales to be able to make it. So when I started selling real estate, so I never have to go
back to wait tables again because I was a waiter before. So I want you to write this down.
Why do you sell real estate? And now I want you to ask yourself, what's important to you
about that. So whatever that first answer, which is what's important to you about that.
And then ask the next question, which is what's important to you about that? And I want you to
write that down. And this is going to become your compass. You're going to take that compass,
and you're going to put it on a sticky note. And I'm going to ask for you to put that sticky
note on your keyboard. My sticky note today says, I make sales to be able to provide for my daughter
so that I could be a worthy father. That's what's on my sticky note right now. That's my compass.
So when I get lost on my journey, I'm able to go back and reflect on that.
Now, once you identify while you're doing, then I want you to think about what's your superpower.
So what are the things in your life that you kick ass at doing?
What are the things in your life that other people say you're really good at doing this?
Not real estate related.
Just life.
Maybe you're a good chess player.
Maybe you like riding bicycles.
You're good at that.
Or maybe you're a good problem solver.
You go to the grocery store and you talk to everybody, whatever it may be.
Whatever your superpowers are, and I want you to write down every single God-given gift that you have.
And then after you write down all your superpowers, everything that makes you special,
I want you to then contemplate what are all the ways I could make sales.
I could use billboards.
I could go knock on doors, open houses, called expires, call for sale by owners, network.
I could do online lead generation, Facebook ad, video ads, whatever it may be.
Write down every single way that you could think of.
How can I make sales? Not like how you can make sales, but how can sales be made.
Now what I want you to do is I want you to simply mix and match and say, what superpowers do I have?
What ways can I make sales? Now that I understand what ways I can make sales, what skills, what superpowers are required for these.
So for example, if your superpower is that you make people feel good about themselves, you love talking to people, you're energetic, maybe you're a little touchy feeling when you talk to people.
And you look over here on the list of what's all the different ways that I could make sales.
And you look and you say, open house, huh, maybe that's my job description.
So now that you sit there and you say, why do I make sale?
What's important to me about that?
What are my superpowers?
What are the ways I could make sales?
Now, that becomes your job description.
Now go do that five days a week, one hour a day, non-negotiable.
And if you choose to do anything less than that, go back, look at your compass and discover,
do you really want to be a worthy dad?
Answer that question.
And whatever answer that question is,
whatever you say is fine,
as long as you're aware of the fact
that if I don't do my job,
then I'm not truly committed
to pay my mortgage.
I'm not truly committed to taking that vacation.
I'm truly committed to being that worthy father,
whatever it is to you.
