Starting point is 00:00:00 Okay, all that we're doing right now is we're just letting that energy pass through us. Okay, so when the energy pass through us, then we can start to handle the situation. I'm the host of the No Broke Months podcast,
Starting point is 00:00:42 which is a show for real estate agents to help you have no broke months. Thanks for joining me. Enjoy the show. Doing this trick will let you handle objections easier. Real estate coach Dan Rashan from No Broke Months for Real Estate Agents shares tips and tricks on handling objections. In this episode, Dan explains that to deflect objections calmly, you must let the energy pass through you, and this is how you do it. In this new No Broke Months for Real Estate Agents episode, learn how to deal with objections calmly. When we're having conversations with people, what we want to do is we want to make sure that we're aligning with them quickly.
Starting point is 00:01:27 Okay. So, for example, somebody throw out any objection, any challenge that you may have. Interest rates are too high. Really? I get you. They are pretty high. You're correct. Somebody throw something else out.
Starting point is 00:01:40 I don't want to sell my house until I can find one to buy. Terrific. I understand. I've got a condo listed and I get a lot of showings on it. Everyone loves the condo, except it looks out on an alley and across the street is a building that's just covered in graffiti. Everyone says, I can't do that. I can't look at that every day. That's correct, Colin. You're right. It does look out to the graffiti. I'm not sure can't do that. Can't look at that every day. That's correct, Colin. You're right. It does look out to the graffiti. I'm not sure I can qualify for this house.
Starting point is 00:02:09 Understood. You're right. You may or may not be able to qualify for this house. Okay. What am I doing here? I'm no expert at this. I may be completely talking off base. And I think in judo, it's the art of of combat where you let the other person's energy just carry themselves through so for example if you come and you throw a punch at me it's sort of just letting that energy just pass right past me okay and then your own energy sort of you know gets you wherever it gets you well there's different styles of fighting um the most or the oldest style of it would be like shaori which would have been like uh the transfer of energy and and to absorb energy by like let's
Starting point is 00:02:59 say this you punch me in the face i would swing my jaw and my whole neck. So instead of me actually feeling the punch, I would just kind of fly with it. So just like what Matthew, I guess you're thinking like a wild coyote, you know, like a wily coyote. It's like, you know, the energy just sort of dissipates through. So what I'm doing right now is I'm letting that energy just pass by me. Okay. So when you guys shared your objections, there's graffiti on the wall. That's right. There is graffiti on the wall. I'm just letting that energy slide past me. Okay. The interest rates are high right now. I'm with you. I'm with you. I got it. The interest rates are high right now. If I could get the same, you know, I've got 3% interest rates on my home right now. And, you know,
Starting point is 00:03:45 I don't want to buy at 7%. Understood. Yeah, that's right. They are 7% right now. And you do have 3%. And that's all that we're doing right now. Okay, all that we're doing right now is we're just letting that energy pass through us. Okay, so when the energy pass through us, then we can start to handle the situation. OK, so we're sort of at step one right here to just let the energy flow through, because what happens when you when somebody says, well, the interest rates are high and you immediately try to handle that, which is what most of us do. Most agents do rather. Right. Where you, the interest rates are high. And then they're looking for me as the instructor to tell me, Dan, what do I say when the interest rates are high?
Starting point is 00:04:30 And they're looking for something like, Oh, well, you know, you can always refinance in the future. Right. You hear the difference on that. And that's what, that's what, you know, some trainers are training and what some agents believe. That's what just happened right there. Thanks so much for listening to the No Broke Months podcast today. Until the next show, I invite for you to be grateful, make good choices, help someone, have the best day of your life, and go find a listing.
