So there's a secret society of diabetics.
And you know, like I'm not wearing my Dexcom right now
because I'm out of supplies,
but sometimes you may see that I've got
this little thing attached to me.
And sometimes it may be poking out of my shirt.
I try to keep it above my shirt sleeve, but it needs to go like right here.
So it is very, very common when I'm wearing that, that I will have, depending on how much,
you know, I'm out and about two to three conversations a week with another diabetic.
Okay.
Like it just, it just happens, right?
They say, oh, how long you been a diabetic for oh
hey is that working do you like that i've had mine for whatever whatever whatever right and if you
don't if you're not familiar with it you may not you just see somebody with you like oh that's some
sort of medical thing you don't even know what it is but if you need it to live you know what it is
right and so there's that unity there's that common bond you guys and i swear to you when i'm
wearing it and i need to get my supplies two to three times a week unsolicited or solicit or maybe
i'll start talking to them or they'll start talking to me and then there's a common bond
a perfect stranger could be 70 years old could be 20 years old could be uh look like me could be
from a different heritage doesn't matter there's that common unity so
in sales when you find those common unities you'll be able to have that connection of they're like me
you know i've done some triathlons i haven't done one in about six months or so but in the past i've
dabbled with it right and you know if i see a really, really, you know, like a $5,000 bicycle in somebody's
house, I know what that is, right? And I can be able to connect the dots, be like, you know,
I've got a Quattro, you know, have you done some races? Whatever, whatever, whatever, right?
And you start to connect, you know, boom. If you see that they're a veteran, I'm a veteran.
Oh, when did you serve? Okay, well, what units were
you in? Whatever, whatever, right? I didn't go to college. Many of you probably did. If you went to
college and you find that commonality of college, same type of thing. Okay, so that's the concept
of unity. And then when you align, it goes back to rapport. So going back to the CPI
communication model, this is another way to gain rapport quickly. Thanks so much for listening to
the show. And I want to tell you about Teach to Sell, the new way to persuade human behavior,
