Before you can hire somebody else, you have to have a clarity on who you are and where do you
want to go, all right? Because if you don't know who you are and you don't know what you value,
and you don't know where you want to go, then you're just going to haphazardly just
hire anybody. So it was easy for me to identify what I value when I just thought about the person
in my life that I value the most and what do I value about her? Welcome to the No Broke Months for Real Estate Agents podcast. Working as a real
estate agent can be incredibly rewarding and fulfilling, but it can also be frustrating if
you aren't making the money you deserve. So if you're ready to end the stressful cycle of working
hard for no results, then get started with a proven step-by-step system so that every month is No Broke Months.
My name is Dan Roshan. I'm the host of the No Broke Months podcast,

How can you find out which values to look for when hiring? Real estate coach Dan Rashan from No Broke Months for Real Estate Agents uncovers the mystery behind identifying the values that
truly matter when building a team. Dan explores why value alignment is essential in the hiring
process. From fostering employee engagement to driving organizational success,
understanding the values that underpin a company's culture sets the stage for long-term
satisfaction and productivity. Unravel the mysteries of hiring based on values in the
latest No Broke Months for Real Estate Agents episode.
So what we're doing here is today we're building a foundation. Really,
this is a foundation to be able to, I'm teaching you right now how to hire by the way. But whether
if you're using this to hire or to not, and the reason why we go through these exercises is
because before you can hire somebody else, you have to have a clarity on who you are
and where do you want to go, right? Because you don't know who you are and you don't know what you value and you don't
know where you want to go, then you're just going to haphazardly just hire anybody.
And I can promise you it's going to be the wrong person unless you get really, really
lucky, which you won't, all right?
Now, for some of us, we're not in a place to be hiring.
If that's the case, it's still really, really beneficial for you to have a clarity on who
you are and where you want to go.
So you should have at this point wrote down what you value.
If you haven't struggled with that, think of somebody, a relationship with somebody
who you value and what do you value about that relationship?
So what did you come up with for your vision?
What do you value?
Where do you want to go in your business? How do you like to be treated? Which how you like to be treated sometimes aligns with your values for your culture. And how do you want to get to wherever you want to go? Who'd like to share? are integrity, honesty, vulnerability, decisiveness, supportiveness, and joy.
I love that. All right. Who'd like to share next?
I'd say as for values, mine would mirror Jade's almost exactly identically.
And I would add on, I value a positive state of mind and creating a very balanced, peaceful environment.
Okay.
Very balanced, peaceful environment.
Positive is important to Diana.
Diana, you bring a lot of positive energy to our team.
So thank you for that.
You're a good balance to me sometimes.
Oh, grumpy, grump, grump.
We'd like to share that.
We are actually a balance for
you, Dan. You know, just to share to everyone, our personality, like each one of us in our team
is different, but, you know, we balance each other in terms of, you know, our personality.
So I want to share mine and I'm going to be transparent with you. When I thought about who I value,
I thought about my daughter.
And then I said about my daughter,
I said, what do I value about her?
And then I just described her.
And here's what I came up with.
Honesty, care, emotional intelligence,
emotional maturity, humor, kind,
charismatic, enjoyable to be around, helps others, a good friend.
So it was easy for me to identify what I value when I just thought about the person in my life
that I value the most and what do I value about her. Now, I put some things on there that really
don't apply as well, which was be on time uh being within
integrity though she isn't within integrity right but some of these are more you know she doesn't
have a choice to be on time or not be on time right she's you know because you know she's
codependent still right and so um so i would add those in the things I value as well. I would say the people on our team that succeed or it's a self starter would be the number one characteristic on our team that that makes or break somebody.
So that that's you know, so when I start like undoing these things and just like looking at them and like that's a that's like a non starter.
And if somebody has to be like how do i do this
and if i don't know how to do it and they're not willing to figure it out then
that's probably not a fit just the culture
