Success is not a sign of intelligence. It's a result of implementing habits one small step
at a time. Freedom is what everybody wants, to be able to act and live with freedom.
But the only way to get to a place of freedom is through discipline, says Jocko Wilnick.
If you want financial freedom, you must have financial discipline.
If you want to have more free time, you have to follow a more disciplined time management system.
You also have to have the discipline to say no to things that eat up your time with no paycheck. Things like random YouTube videos, clickbait on the internet, and events that you agree to attend, but you know you don't want
to be there. This one equals freedoms, applies to every aspect of your life. If you want more
freedom, get more discipline. So when I was sitting in my car and I drew a building, and below the
ground was the foundation. And in that foundation, who recall below the ground was the foundation.
And in that foundation, who recalls what's in the foundation of your success?
Belief.
Belief.
And so to be able to have belief, I'm giving you some structures that you can all follow.
All right, I'm giving you a framework because you can follow a structure,
if you chose to do so,
of one to three hours of lead generation,
five days a week.
Now, there may be an instance
where your circumstance
is such that there's something more important and pressing
that would take up your attention.
But absent, you know, you got to start making judgments.
You say, is it more important for me to take care of my kid?
Probably.
I would say probably so.
Is it more important for me to take care of my health?
Probably.
Is it more important for me to take care of my health? Probably. Is it more important for me to take care of my mental health?
Probably.
Right?
So absent something that if you can literally look at it and say, what's more important?
Then you can start having a framework of how to be able to spend your time.
But in business, there's only one thing that's going to cause everything
else to happen. And that is to one to three hours of lead generation every single day.
Does that make sense to everybody? Only one thing. That's it. Nothing else. So now if we
understand that, what is lead generation and what is not lead generation?
And this is something that I recognize.
Well, I mean, it didn't surprise me, but I recognize it not too long ago when I was having people to my house every single Tuesday to lead generate.
And people would stop by and you know what they would end up doing?
They would end up researching people to call.
And they'd spend two, three hours doing that.
Is researching people to call lead generation?
No.
Nope.
Getting on the phone and making calls is lead generation.
Going to a networking group is lead generation.
Those are your prospecting lead generations.
Knocking on a door is lead generation.
Going on expired listings, texting for sale by owner, that is lead generation.
Most of my time is spent in lead conversion, not lead generation, just to be
candid with you guys, because I've got this machine that pumps out the lead generation that rarely do I have time to get to lead generation.
And mostly I'm in lead conversion.
So if you're in a situation where you have more leads to convert than leads to create, then you're going to focus your energy on the lead conversion more
so than lead generation. But you got to make sure that you always have more leads that you
can convert than what you can get to. Thanks so much for listening to the No Broke Months
podcast today. Until the next show, I invite for you to be grateful, make good choices,
help someone, have the best day of your life, and you'll find a listing.
