Starting point is 00:01:45 tune in to take control of your mindset and improve your emotional resilience. There's two things I'm going to teach you here. Number one is about the thought and number two is about the circumstance. Let's do the thought first. So with the thought, you can be in control of your second thought, but not necessarily your first thought. But what you absolutely have control over is your second thought. Let's say somebody gave me an example of something negative that maybe has happened in your life. The tenant doesn't want to leave the house that you have listed two days before closing. So that's a circumstance, right? Now, we can take that circumstance and we can have a thought about it.
Starting point is 00:02:34 Like, what types of thoughts would you have about that? How do I fix this? That's your first thought? Or is that your second thought? My second thought. Yeah, that's your second thought. Guarantee that's your second thought. Your second thought Yeah, that's your second thought Guarantee that's your second thought Your first thought has some expletives in it
Starting point is 00:02:48 Your second thought is how can I fix this? You guys see that? So we're in charge of the second thought Not the first thought The first thought is mother Right? That's the first thought At least that's my first thought
Starting point is 00:03:02 I keep my curse words on the inside for the most part But that, guarantee you that's going to be my first. It's going to be an MF-er, right? And then my second thought, well, actually that wouldn't be my first thought, but I've got good healthy first thoughts, but that could be a first thought. Sometimes it could be. Then your second thought is going to be, how do I fix this? So that's the piece about thoughts. You're always in control of your second thought. Now, how do you get better first thoughts? You get better first thoughts by changing your relationship to the circumstance. To be able to get better first thoughts, you're going to go ahead and you're going to change
Starting point is 00:03:36 and program yourself to have better circumstance. So you're going to do that through meditation, reading, listen to podcasts like No Broke Moms, reading like I'm just finishing up Teach and Grow Rich, how to increase your influence, avoid the number one sales mistake, and get what you want. These right here are ways that you can program yourself so that you get a better first thought. This morning, I came up with what am I going to teach today when I was meditating. And when I meditate, which I do every day, I don't know if you guys know that about me or not, but I would tell you, when I meditate, the world just becomes so much easier because I got done meditating and I got a message
Starting point is 00:04:46 that I didn't want to see immediately after I was done meditating. I looked at that message. I was like, ah, okay, next. I'll just handle it. My first thought was actually really healthy. So in summary, your life is, your circumstance stuff happens. You sense it through your five senses. You think about it. You feel about it. You take actions. You have results. You can control your second thought, but not your first one necessarily.
Starting point is 00:05:13 You can control your first thought through prayer, exercise, meditation, reading, podcast, affirmations, and relationships by programming yourself so that you have better first thoughts.
