Starting point is 00:01:26 I have a frustration. Love it. Then you are normal. What you got? When I take hours upon hours upon hours to walk my neighborhood and give out flowers that I have painstakingly wrapped and put my card on and go back the next week and see other people's signs in the yards. That's very, very disheartening. Okay, hold on. I think you have to understand,
Starting point is 00:01:56 and let me, I'm not going to ask you, I'm going to just say it. So I think you got the wrong intention. Well, let me ask you, what's the result that you're intending to get by handing out those flowers? Well, the cards at first were just, I wanted their business. The flowers then were because we had a storm here and I didn't care because I was like, as long as I'm doing something nice and making people be happy, then I'm, then I'm happy. So I changed it a little bit from the first time I went. And I felt much better giving. I hated walking through my neighborhood and asking, but I loved walking through my
Starting point is 00:02:31 neighborhood and giving. I loved just giving and saying, I don't want anything from you. What your goal should be is to have a mind share. That's it. Okay. Your frustration is that you're looking for the listing and then you get frustrated because they went with somebody else. Right. But when you understand that you're not necessarily going for the listing, that's not your first goal. Your first goal is to have the mind share. What's mind share? What do you mean by that? When they think of real estate, they think of Rosemary. Oh, okay. But guess what? They also may think about Carlos Dan. Okay. So just being in their mind doesn't mean that you earn their business. Okay. So you're going for this when you should be going for this. My perception is if whenever you go on a listing appointment, I've already won. If I go on a listing appointment, there's only two agents. I've already won. Why is that? I've already won because there's 18,000 options that that person
Starting point is 00:03:31 could be talking to. I'm one of two of 18,000. Okay. So it's about understanding that you're just intending at this point is to be able to get into their mind of you're the real estate woman. Then through time, you hit value contribution. Then you get the listings. Oh, by the way, do you know how long it takes to make that happen? 18 months of frequent value contribution, value contribution. Then you get the listings. So that can help you to no longer be frustrated because it is just as what it is.
