build trust, and create lasting client connections.
My name is Dan Roshin.
I'm the host of the No Broke Months podcast,
which is a show for real estate agents to help you have No Broke Months.
Thanks for joining me.
Enjoy the show.
And you can leverage events to be able to grow your,
your business, how you can showcase your expertise and attract prospective clients through
using Teach to Sell.
When you teach your audience, you're not just sharing your knowledge, but you're building
trust.
You're establishing yourself as an authority in the field.
The benefit of using Teach to Sell is going to transform your audience from being passive
and being engaged, and you're going to create a deeper connection.
and that's going to drive sales so here's how to do it the first thing that you could consider
to do is an education event so think about the most frequent questions that your consumer ask of
you whatever those may be those questions are questions that the general public do not know that
you know because you're an expert at what you do you can put together an educational event
whether it be a webinar or a seminar or live to be able to teach that to the consumer
Now remember, when you're considering a difference between whether you do it live or do a webinar, one handshake is worth at least three hours of online content.
So if you could do it live, do it.
The downside to doing it live is that it's one and done.
See, when you're consuming this content, you can share it with your friends, with your colleagues and your coworkers, and they can benefit from it as well.
So I could do this one time and I could teach tens of thousands or millions or hundreds of thousands of people.
So how do you put this together?
So for example, let's say that you have a home gardening business.
You can put together a webinar such as sustainable practices in home gardening.
This is where you can provide actual insights to beginners and enthusiasts.
And it will position you as an expert.
But it will also, you know, address the common questions in the gardening community.
When you're able to give back to the gardening community, if that's your business, guess where they're going to go and buy seeds for their plants?
Guess where they're going to go for, you know, landscape and those types of things, they're going to go to you.
Another example could be something like a monthly seminar like healthy meal prep for busy professionals.
So if you're in the food business, you can put together something like this to be able to offer valuable content where you're educating your audience and building credibility and
trust. So again, when they know how to have a, you know, a plan for healthy meal prep
and they're a busy professional, guess what? They're going to come to you for their food
and for their needs. Charity events. I love doing charity events. It's one of my favorite things
to do because not only do you give back to the community, you position yourself as somebody who cares,
because if you're going to do a charity event, you probably do care. It's a fantastic way
to be able to enrich your community and also attract businesses.
For example, one of the things that I do each year is a Toys for Tide event, every holiday season.
This is where guests will come and they'll donate toys and we create a festive atmosphere.
We bring the community together. Santa Claus comes out. We give chocolate to people and we're able to
really have some fun. And everybody that gives a toy, guess what they get? They get a Christmas tree.
or a holiday wreath so in exchange of me giving a holiday wreath or a christmas tree which oh by the
way is an investment of money i'm able to give back to the community so you may be thinking like
oh my goodness dan this much be expensive it is and i can track back 70 000 of closed business
to one participant and i'm grateful for that you know big chunk of business but what i'm more
grateful for is that same person that i got that 70 000 worth of business from came to me one of
one of the events as he said to me it was a husband or wife with their kids and he said dan thank you
for being a part of my christmas tradition so i didn't realize we've been doing this for 10 13 years
something like that i didn't realize that we became a part of people's christmas traditions
so guess what when they think about my service when they think about a need
guess where they're coming.
They're coming from the guy that's a part of their Christmas tradition.
Other ways that you can do this is I've got a friend of mine who does a youth entrepreneurship exposition.
And this is where young entrepreneurs, they showcase their products.
So he's got a business that's called KidBiz.
And an impactful way that he's done is he runs a program that he has a quarterly event at a local high school
where he'll bring young entrepreneurs to showcase their programs.
products, to be able to really foster a supportive community where they can thrive,
they could connect.
His events have attracted local and national media attention.
This provides him with the exposure, it would typically cost tens of thousands of dollars.
And as a result, he's expanding his efforts to financially support even more young innovators.
Now you could consider using other events to be able to showcase yourself and your expertise.
So you could do networking events or conferences that are tailored to your industry.
For example, an annual summit on innovations and sustainable business practices could be something
that if that's your business, you can bring together experts and clients creating a platform
for knowledge, for sharing, and for collaboration.
When you are the person that's hosting these events, whether it be educational or charity or
industry conferences. When you're using Teach to Sell to be able to impart not just your knowledge,
but you're able to then build lasting relationships. You're able to demonstrate your value
and create meaningful connections. And as you do this, the benefit of using Teach to Sell
is that it's going to empower you to influence your audience effectively. It's going to guide them
towards you. It's going to guide them to the actions you want them to take and it's going to
genuinely address their needs. So I recommend that you consider to start planning your events
today and watch your business thrive.
