Real estate coach Dan Rashan from No Broke Months for Real Estate Agents discusses achieving success as a new real estate agent.
In this episode, Dan explains what being a real estate agent means and
gives tips and strategies for your success. Learn these tips on being a successful real
estate agent in this new No Broke Months for Real Estate Agents episode.
I want to talk to you about how to thrive as a new real estate agent.
So if you're a new agent, then you are in a perfect spot right now.
All right.
So if you're having anxiety or even if it's at times, you're perfectly normal.
You're perfectly where you're supposed to be.
I've been selling real estate for a whole lot of time.
And so I know exactly where you're at.
And what today's presentation is going to be twofold. Number one, I'm going to talk to you about a day in the life of a real estate agent.
I'm gonna give you some tips and strategies for your success. Number two, I'm going to present
with you an opportunity on how I can help you in your business. Because ultimately, you're going
to be joining a brokerage. So you've either joined a brokerage, because ultimately you're going to be joining a brokerage.
So you've either joined a brokerage already, or you're going to be joining a brokerage.
And if you've not yet joined a brokerage, then I'm going to share with you a little bit about how the community that I represent, how we can help you when you join a brokerage.
So today we're going to talk about the definition of a realtor. And by the way, it's realtor. Two syllables, not three.
A lot of people that I hear them say realtor, think actor or actress, actor, realtor, same type
of cadence there. Okay. And so what is a realtor? Most likely your broker is going to be a realtor
or belong to a local association of realtors. So what a realtor
means is that your broker belongs to the National Association of Realtors, and they agree when they
affiliate with the board, they agree that every agent that works for them will also join,
or otherwise they won't let you work for them. What they do for you on your behalf is they lobby and they advocate.
In fact, the Association of Realtors is the second largest lobby in the country.
What's the job description of a real estate agent?
You're going to learn that today.
You're going to learn what can you do now.
You're going to learn a little bit about new agent training.
You're going to learn about the schedule that you can incorporate on a day-to-day basis.
You're going to learn about how to make $100,000 in your first year as an agent. You want to make more? I can show you how
to make more, but I want you to make at least $100,000. How many people make it? Very few.
I'm being transparent with you. How many people can make it? Almost all. What's the difference? The difference is mindset and activity. It's that
freaking simple. Okay. Yet you can all succeed and you can all make that much money. I'm going
to give you some advice as a new agent. Right now you're entering into a career
where you have the opportunity to make as much money as you possibly want to make.
And you have to understand that it takes work and it takes effort.
And when you think about this and you think about the career that you're embracing, it's about the first domino.
And what you consider is like, what do you want?
Okay, I want to make a profit.
I want to make an income.
So let's say that income is call it a hundred grand where are you right now this is the result not the beginning
what i want you to uh consider is no we want to look at this over here which is the starting point
of the dominoes that will fall anybody want to guess what the first step to being a
successful business owner is? You have one job and one job only, find business. Because if you
don't find business, you have no numbers to know about. If you don't find business, you have no
problems to solve. You have nothing to work hard on. So when you understand that, you understand, wait, of all the million things that are going to be thrown at me, there's only one that matters.
It doesn't mean the rest don't matter.
It means that the one that matters, matters first.
And when you understand that, then you box everything else around that one thing that matters the most,
you'll be successful. Thanks so much for listening to the No Broke Months podcast today.
Until the next show, I invite for you to be grateful, make good choices,
help someone, have the best day of your life, and go find a listing.
