Dan explains why you should not
focus on making more profits and instead on doing more activities that produce results.

Agents. I got a question for you guys. How often do you hear me talk about money? Think through
that. Really think through that.
I've never heard you talk about money ever.
Now, here's the thing. I'm not opposed to talking about money from the sense of profitability from a business.
Okay.
From the sense of how can you use the money to be able to use it as a tool.
Okay. But I will not be focused on the money to be able to use it as a tool. But I will not be focused on the money. I'm focusing on the activity because the money, let's think about this, is money a leading or lagging factor?
So money's a lagging factor. So the challenge that many, many people have is that we look at, I want more money.
I want more money.
I want more money.
I want more money.
And that's what you're putting in your windshield, right?
Like as though if that is in front of you.
But if you consider like you're driving a car, money's not in front of you.
Money's behind you.
And what I mean by that is a lagging factor of the activity that you do.
So when I'm speaking, it's all about the activity.
It's about the activity.
It's about the activity.
It's about the activity, which then generates the money.
But focusing on the money is not even that important.
In fact, focusing on getting money is not even that important. In fact, focusing on getting more
listings is not that important. There's a part of that, that there's activity to make that work,
of course. And that is the outcome. We're creating these outcomes, but we're creating
these outcomes for focusing on what's the activity that creates that result? What's the activity that creates more listings? What's the activity
that creates more clients? Because when I focus on the activity, I don't need to worry about money.
And if my money's not there, instead of letting my emotions focus on that, do more activity.
Okay. Because just letting the emotionally feeling like crap that you don't
have enough money or that you don't know how you're going to pay your bills. That does you
nothing, but, but, but causes you stress, causes you anxiety. That's all that does.
So if you are in a place right now where you're, you know, Hey, I have an opportunity. Like I,
I don't have enough money or I don't know how I'm going to pay my bills. You got a couple choices. You can be
depressed or anxious about that. Or you can put that aside, recognize it as a reality. And now
let's focus on the activity. In business, what's the activity? Let me go find more business. Lead generation, networking, prospecting, marketing.
And then money comes as a byproduct.
