Join our new No Broke Months podcast episode to learn how to select words that resonate with your audience, enhance your message, and drive more sales. All right, let's do our scripts and role play. We're going to practice some things. If it's not new to you, then it's going to help you to sort of get it into your psyche. So Johnny Root, tell us the script for introducing to a lender. Teach to sell right now. You know, Jade, I've got a loan officer, a guy that specializes in VA loans. He's got the best rates and terms in the
Starting point is 00:01:53 business. You know, I wouldn't mind introducing him to you. That's better than an A-plus, Johnny. I've got a lender who specializes in X. X is whatever their situation is. He's got the best rates and terms in the business or she does.
Starting point is 00:02:10 I wouldn't mind introducing them to you. Jay, go. Hi, Eric. I have a lender that specializes in first-time home buyers. He has the very best rates and terms in town. And I would be happy to introduce you to him. Do you think that would be a value to you? Oh, so close.
Starting point is 00:02:33 So close. You have me so excited. Change the, do you think that would be valuable to you, which is a close-ended question to an open-ended question. Gotcha. I wouldn't mind doing that. I think it's the word think, and that's what it is. I still give you the cringe, but I give you the cringe for a different reason.
Starting point is 00:02:56 I didn't know why I was giving you the cringe. You don't want people to think. You just want people to take action. Why does the word think sort of throw us off? I believe that it leaves room for rumination. Rumination, yeah, that's true. John, what did you say? Too many options.
Starting point is 00:03:19 Too many options, yeah. John, what did you say? A way out. Way out. Yeah. So when you, when you're encouraging somebody to think you're, you're, you're making it hard for them. Who do you know who's in the market to buy a home, sell a house or invest in real estate?
Starting point is 00:03:39 Somebody from your kid's ice skating rink that does practice, or maybe somebody from your church or maybe some of your, from your workplace's ice skating rink that does practice, or maybe somebody from your church, or maybe someone from your workplace, who comes to mind? You see, you don't want somebody to have to think. You want to do the thinking for them. All right, and then that gives them the path of least resistance. So it was the think that threw me off there, Jade. Let's do it one more time, please. Hey, Eric.
Starting point is 00:04:01 You know, I have a lender that specializes with first time homebuyers. He has the very best rates and terms in town. I really wouldn't mind introducing you to him. Would that be of value to you? A plus, A plus. You see the difference of a single word gets a cringe from a cringe to an A plus. This is the way linguistics work. I didn't pick up what the word was initially,
Starting point is 00:04:27 but we figured it out. The way that linguistics work is the difference between a word, it creates a completely different dynamic of the way we're communicating, right? And that's why what I'm teaching you guys today, it's not just like, here's a script. Say this script, right? It's like, no,
Starting point is 00:04:45 wait, when you say this word here, here's what happens. When you say the word think, here's what happens. Everything that Eric and John and Jay just shared, you know, too many options, it's too difficult. You want to make it easy. Thanks so much for listening to the no broke months podcast today until the next show i invite for you to be grateful make good choices help someone have the best day of your life and go find a listing
