Real estate coach Dan Rochon of No Broke Months for Real Estate Agents talks about how to have
a work-life balance. He explains that having a work-life balance can be challenging as a real
estate agent. Still, it is essential to avoid burnout and maintain a healthy personal and professional life.
Learn how to have a work-life balance in this new episode of No Broke Months for Real Estate Agents.
Salespeople often need help balancing the time that they spend seeking clients with their non-work-related time.
Explaining the concept of balance is pretty easy, but what does it really entail?
Is it limited to attending a weekly gym class or going to the movies when you want to
or grabbing drinks with your friends?
Balance in life and business means that you spend a healthy time doing the things that
make you happy while spending the time to earn enough money as a salesperson to fund
those activities. My belief that a business should fund a perfect life and that we are in business not to work,
work, work, work, work. But on the other side of that, if we don't spend enough time working,
then we don't have that perfect life to fund and we have stress, we have challenges,
we have unpaid bills, and it just
sucks. So, so far, am I hitting the mark so far? Does this all make sense to everybody so far?
So, the dangers of being out of balance is if you spend less time working, succeeding in sales can
be really, really challenging. But if you spend too much time working in sales, it could lead to
burnout, fatigue, and stress-related health problems. Particularly for
those of you that may be workaholics, it can even emphasize on that. So really having that balance
is important for everybody, even if you enjoy working. In an ideal world, we would have time
to achieve our business goals while also pursuing activities that nourish us emotionally, spiritually,
physically.
That could be hobbies.
That could be time with our loved ones.
That could be social interactions.
And sales agents often struggle to balance their lives. So instead of torturing yourself and juggling all the tasks of life
and letting one area of your world take from the others,
you could consider taking an all-in approach to sales and to leading your life.
