Starting point is 00:00:00 On those sticky notes, I wrote down the following. I wrote down what my job is. My job as a leader is to create energy, engage talent, and own the results. And then I wrote down the number 189. Does anyone know what the number 189 is? That's how many transactions I intended to close. I didn't close that many transactions.
Starting point is 00:00:19 But that's gonna be the new number moving forward. Welcome to the No Broke Months for Real Estate Agents podcast. Join us for another insightful episode of No Broke Months for Real Estate Agents to discover how you can harness the power of sticky notes to unleash your full potential and make your dreams a reality. Also during the pandemic, I had written down what I was doing over at my desk back there when I walked away was I remember I had some sticky notes there, right? And on those sticky notes, I wrote down the following. I wrote down what my job is.
Starting point is 00:01:53 My job as a leader is to create energy, engage talent, and own the results. And then I wrote down the number 189. Does anyone know what the number 189 is? That's how many transactions i intended to close i didn't close that many transactions okay but that's going to be the new number moving forward my job still to create energy engage talent and own the result at 189 transactions when during the beginning of the pandemic i also wrote wrote down another one, which was, what will I be remembered for during this time? What does my business look like when it's over?
Starting point is 00:02:30 And then there's one other that I wrote there. It says, when it's over with and all of a sudden it's done, was it worth the trip? Now, I write those things down to demonstrate to you how I've led myself and how I've led others and the things that I focused on. Because when I teach leadership, it's sort of easy to understand. And I think it's not that hard to be a leader. For some, maybe it takes a little bit more effort than others. But where it gets really, really hard to be a leader is when all hell breaks loose, when everything goes to shit, when there's a pandemic. Okay, that's when it gets really, really hard. Now, again, I know that this may not be appropriate
Starting point is 00:03:12 for some of you, which is where I started. I said, if you're a newer agent, you're in the perfect spot to hear this lesson. Because when you get that first contract, Ali, and you go to that first closing, I want you to take 10% of your revenue, and I want you to put it in a bank account. And I want you to do nothing with it. When you get your second closing, I want you to do the same. And between your second and third closing, I want you to hire a virtual assistant. Now, we're just getting done with how to do that. Okay, so we'll go back through that by the time
Starting point is 00:03:46 that you're ready for that you'll hear the lesson again for everybody else if you're not in a financial position to hire somebody right now to help you then do what i just said as well so that then you do the five activities it's just like with my daughter, where I said, sweetie, from nine to noon, I need to be at work. From noon to one, I'm going to be with you. The only way I earned the right was when I did my job. So for you to consider to hire somebody to help you, you got to do your job, which is CPI time. Thanks so much for listening to the No Broke Months podcast today. Until the next show, I invite for you to be grateful, make good choices, help someone, have the best day of your life,
