Starting point is 00:00:54 Studying the people who succeeded in their business, real estate coach Dan Rochon from No Broke Months for Real Estate Agents shares how to eliminate the unknown in the real estate business. In this episode, Dan explained that to eliminate the unknown in your real estate business, you must study the people who have come before you. Discover the ways you can remove the fear of uncertainty in the latest episode of No Broke Months for Real Estate Agents. I want to talk about eliminating the unknown in real estate sales. This could be applicable to real estate sales. It could be applicable to business just in general as well. So how do we eliminate the unknown?
Starting point is 00:01:34 It's about collecting data. So what would I do if I was going to hike the Appalachian Trail? Well, the first thing I would do is I'd go to YouTube and I'd find out what the heck it is of people that have done it before me. What have they done? What gear do they bring with them? What supplies did they bring? How did they position it so that they could resupply? Where do they sleep? What were the challenges that they had? What were the unexpected challenges that they had? What were the emergencies that they had? What were the common experiences that they had? What makes it different that 75% of people who try that journey do not finish it versus the 25% who do? What's the difference between those two people? So when I started in real estate sales, that's what I did. I studied models of success. Because
Starting point is 00:02:22 if you don't have absolute faith that you can do it, you have to have blind faith. In real estate sales, I have absolute faith. And hiking the Appalachian Trail, I got a blind faith. What's the difference? Well, one, I've done. One, I've done and I've had the experience. It went from blind optimism of an unearned optimism to an earned optimism. Having an absolute faith. That's been my real estate sales journey. Right now, I've got a blind optimism that I got a plan within the business
Starting point is 00:02:54 that's going to be wildly successful. But I also recognize that as a blind optimism is not absolute faith because there's some new components that I'm adding that I've not done before yet. How do we eliminate the unknown? We study those in front of us. So now that we understand the roadmap, what of those in front of us who's been successful, who has done what you want to have happen, what have they done? It's going to be slightly different for each of us, but ultimately, it's going to be a component that at least at some point in their career, they had 20 conversations about real estate a day. That's going to be a component that at least at some point in their career, they had 20 conversations about real estate a day. That's going to be a commonality.
Starting point is 00:03:29 They may not do it today, but if you look at any high achiever in real estate sales, I bet that they did that for a period of time. Why do I bet on that?
