In this episode, Dan shares a script on using the promise of your excellent service in return for their referral. Learn more about this script for equivalent exchange in this new
No Broke Months for Real Estate Agents episode. For today's practice, we're going to go through
how to get reviews and testimonials. So what I'm going to do is I want to go through the promise.
And before I go through the promise, let me ask you guys, would it make sense for you
to use the promise in your business?
And to remind you what that is, is the promise is what we do up front when we're getting
hired and we're getting them to commit to referring to us
and we're getting them to commit to allowing for us to earn the right for a five-star review.
And then we're making a promise of here's what we're going to promise to you. Do you resonate
with that concept to use that in your business? I love it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. So let's go
ahead and practice the promise. So this is a CPI brand of promise. So thank you so much for hiring
me. And what I want to do, Jeff, I want to let you know that because it's real estate that, you know,
there may be challenges. You know, it's people that are going to be involved, it's real estate.
And my job is that if there are challenges to overcome them. Now, I appreciate the opportunity
to work for you. And when we work for you, I'm going to provide you with a 10 plus experience. And that means that we're going to deliver to you amazing
service, which means that we're going to do what we promise that we're going to do by when we
promise it. We're going to always be solutions based, seeking to find an answer to any problems
that occur. I'm going to leave you always in a place that I'm going to tell you the truth, even if you don't want to hear it.
Is that okay that I tell you the truth, even if it's a hard truth?
Yes, yes.
Again, that's a little, that's an opportunity right there to pave the future.
I'm going to share my knowledge with you.
I study my craft intimately, and I take an ongoing cycle of study and practice and taking action, assessing what works and what doesn't work, documenting it, and using that experience to be able to best serve you.
I'm going to leave you feeling great by building a positive customer experience that's going to create a passionate customer who's going to spread the message on our behalf.
And we're going to continuously raise the bar and always do the right thing by serving you. Now, sometime between now and the day that we go to closing,
you're going to feel so great about how we're helping you is that you're going to come across
somebody during that time that's in the market to buy a home or sell a house or invest in real
estate. And I'd appreciate the opportunity for you to refer them to me. They may just have a
general question about real estate, or they may want to refinance or want to buy a home or
sell a property or invest in real estate, or they just may need general help. And I know that you
would give them my name, and I appreciate that, which is great. Yet I'd love for you to take that
a step further. I'd love for you to do a group text introduction. And when you do refer them to
me, I'm going to treat them like gold. I'm going to update you throughout the process. And most importantly, I'm going to make
you look good. Now, one last thing, as we go through this process, I'm going to ask for the
right to earn a five-star Zillow review and a five-star review on other platforms as well.
But I understand I've got to earn that right. And when I do so, would you be willing to give me that review at the end?
Yes, yes.
Now, when we get to the day of closing, if you've not called me, I'm going to assume
that maybe I didn't deliver on my promise.
And I'm going to ask you, what could I have done better?
So I want you to know you can count on me to deliver my promise.
And I appreciate that I can count on you.
If a problem arises, please let me fix it.
